Obama’s Delusional Campaign: Seized by Demons in Their Heads

Obama’s campaign doesn’t need fundraisers or organizers. It needs a team of psychiatrists—and quick. Obama has decided it’s just fine to give the cold shoulder to Hillary Clinton and her 18 million voters—and to former President Bill Clinton—never calling them, or including them in development of strategy, and excluding the most capable political people who worked for them, while pretending this is “party unity.” As Groucho Marx cracked, “Who are you going to believe, me or your lying eyes?”

What possible excuse can Obama invent to justify his continuing mistreatment of Hillary and his disrespect for the greatest president for African-Americans since Lyndon Johnson passed the civil rights and voting rights acts?

In case Obama has forgotten, under the Clinton administration, poverty was reduced 25 percent—one-quarter—with more than 7 million people moved from welfare to work—and 22 million new jobs created—and family incomes and real wages increased for the first time in a generation—and crime reduced by more than 25 percent.

Yes, that Bill Clinton, the one Obama smeared as a racist.

Yes, that Hillary Clinton, the one Obama smeared as racist, too, for stating the historical truth that Lyndon Johnson was essential in passing the civil rights acts and that we need a president on the side of civil rights to make them real.

And if it so happens that Obama is elected, he will be judged by those Clinton benchmarks—a president he dismissed as not producing change compared to…Ronald Reagan—who blocked progress for African-Americans.

Now what possible alibi can the Obama campaign offer for continuing to poke Hillary and those 18 million voters in the eye?

Chuck Todd, NBC’s political editor, explained today on MSNBC’s Morning Joe. According to Big Tent Democratic, on Talkleft.com, Todd has been talking to the geniuses of the Obama campaign. Here’s what they told him:

On Morning Joe, Chuck Todd said that the “feeling in Chicago,” presumably referring to the Obama campaign, is that Hillary Clinton is seeking treatment that she would never have given Barack Obama had the roles been reversed. If they REALLY believe that, then they are fools. If Hillary Clinton were the nominee, Barack Obama would have been the vice presidential nominee a month ago. I can not believe Todd is passing on this foolishness.

But Chuck Todd is not the problem. He’s just relating the unbalanced state of mind of Obama’s campaign.

Let’s follow their whacked out thinking. They fantasize that Hillary would cut them out and dump on them if she were the nominee. Therefore, it’s legitimate for them to cut her out and dump on her and her supporters. Make sense?

Had Chuck Todd consulted with any psychiatrist he would have learned that the Obama campaign suffers from what Freud identified as neurotic “projection.” Projection is a defense mechanism by which negative impulses, motives and actions are displaced onto others, especially on those serving as the objects of those negative feelings and attacks. Projection can be a fantasy rationalization and lead to full-blown paranoia. It is also obviously a form of denial.

Unless treated, the symptoms will worsen.

Obama’s campaign doesn’t have a theme song, except maybe for Ludacris’ foul-mouthed jingle calling Hillary a “bitch.”

Wouldn’t this one from Gnarls Barkley be an appropriate theme song for the Obama campaign?

Check out this video of Gnarls Barkley’s great song, “Crazy.”

Oh, calm down, Francis.

And stop with the ALL CAPS.

Clinton is doing what a smart politician does–behaving in a dignified manner.

If you can’t “get” that, you’re either stupid, or a troll.

If Obama implodes, she’s there to step in. If he doesn’t, he’ll lose in November and she’ll be tanned, rested and ready four years from now.

Anyone who wants her to stomp her foot and cry is an idiot and an asshole. That’s what Team O does, see?

Comment by norrismorris | 2008-08-07 16:47:19

Yes, agreed. Also if Clinton does not behave in a concilliatory manner she will become irrelevant politically.

She is still a loyal Democrat and as such it’s her duty to back all Dems running for office in entire country as well as BO.

It is totally naive to think that politicians musn’t compromise, and frankly her First job is that as Senator from New York which she is totally aware of.

If she cannot be seen as a team player she has no political capital, or future.

It would be good if our bloggers would study up on how political parties are constructed, and a good course in Civics would further inform them as to how our cities, states, and federal government function and what their responsibilities are.

Comment by Mary | 2008-08-07 17:50:53

On the other hand, norris, if Obama is perceived as snubbing the Clintons–as in, “we don’t need them or their supporters to win,” HIS political career will be over.

Comment by sakel | 2008-08-08 12:39:17

NorrisMorris, thanks for civic lesson 101.

Absolutely, politicians will become irrelevant (not Hillary) if they don’t work in a conciliatory way conducive to working both sides of the aisle with the other party members. And Hillary needs no lesson from ANYONE on this issues.

Hillary and McCain established an excellent working relationsip at the Senate. They went together to Baghdad in 2005 and John McCAIN PRAISED SEN. CLINTON when asked if she’d make a good President.

“Sen. Hillary Clinton I am sure will make a great President”—Sen. John McCain to Time Russert, Meet the Press ‘05 interview (Iraq)

This is a bit OT. I came across this video entitled Convention Crasher. It is posted on Fox News. I can not link the exact video so you need to hit videos then Convention Crasher. To me it makes a lot of sense. Imagine this: even if Obama comes out of the roll call vote with the needed delegates, how will it look for him, when the whole nation hears the roll call? California, How do you vote? Hillary Clinton. New York, How do you vote? Hillary Clinton. New Jersey, How do you vote? Hillary Clinton. So on and so forth. Idaho, How do you vote? Obama. Alabama, How do you vote? Obama. The fact that Obama took an asswhipping in huge democratic states will be on full display for the world to see. This will add even more doubt to the already shakey notion that Obama won fair and square.

I’m still shaking my head that the Dems pushed this arrogant flip-floppin’ fraud on us. In a country of 300 million people the 2 choices we have are this thug and Mr Magoo?

Obama is so full of his precious self he will realize too late that he should have kissed and made up with the Clintons.

But remember Donkey Brazile told Gore to run away from Bill Clinton because of a sex scandal in spite of the fact that he had huge popularity ratings and support. I hope her good advice bites her in the a** again.

Geez…I’m starting to wonder what real or perceived slight the Clintons did to Brazile?

You would think that she would learn from her mistake to have Gore run from Clinton.

Either way, she has had it out for them for years rather than admit her mistake or dislike. She is running Obama down the same path as Gore to prove she is right about stabbing the Clintons in the back.

Comment by 935 Lies | 2008-08-07 15:07:29

The REAL “sin” of both Clintons, to Donkey Brassiere, Dean, Jimmy Carter et al is that they appear to have a good time governing and that they don’t really give a rat’s ass about the Good Will of the chattering classes or the culturally vapid and deficient who require assurances from Dowd or Olberman or Couric or the NYT Style Section to externally validate their feelings.

“TailGate?” – Well, MOST of the world thought it was pretty funny that we had a Pres who was still spry enough to collect a header or two from a fat girl.

Clinton economy – Shot the shit out of that Laffer Curve fairy tale, didn’t it? RAISE taxes and the economy gets better? Who’d a thunk it?

Paula Corbin Jones – I have a collection of Paula Corbin Jones jokes from what I call the “Hillary’s Hilarity Collection.”

Q: What’s the difference between Paula Corbin Jones and a trampoline?

A: Most men remove their shoes before jumping on a trampoline.

Many, many, many of My Fellow Americans have the souls of dung beetles and shit for brains .

The Clintons did nothing to Brazille, or any of the other DNC losers.

Brazille and the others made themselves fools by running away from, and shunning, the Clintons.

They are angry at themselves but take no responsibility for their ineptitude, and need someone to scapegoat for their failures. Otherwise they would have to admit to being the losers they are.

Therefore, they blame the Clintons, the only true Dem winners, for not saving them from themselves.

In other words the Clintons, then as now, despite their horrendous treatment, should have stepped in and saved all of the self-righteous fools from committing political suicide based upon their own ignorance and prejudice toward the Clintons.

They are all ego-maniacal losers, still without a clue, and still trying to blame the Clintons for their own stupidity, and lack of judgement.

Crazy like a fox, maybe. You’re a pro, Larry — surely you realize that Obama is going to win this election, and probably fairly easily? And surely you understand that he really would be crazy to offer HRC the veep slot? Just to take the most obvious reason — surely you understand that Bill Clinton will never assent to the amount of financial background checks that would be required. And god bless the Clintons, I think Bill was probably our greatest president since FDR, but they come with lots and lots of lots of baggage. Obama’s doing just fine, and I’m confident he’ll make the right choices for his inner circle.

Comment by bayareavoter | 2008-08-07 12:09:16

why should Sen Clinton even consider the VP slot with the fraud? Let him lose on his own. When it comes down to November it will become a matter of trust–and people won’t trust an inexperienced pretty smile with a resume as thin as the paper it’s printed on. They’ll vote for McCranky. I will never vote for BO.

Every time a bot posts, they are transmitting their fear that the Inevitable Messiah is not so inevitable.

Think about it–if your candidate was a sure winner, would you even waste your time trading insults with the opposition? I sure wouldn’t.

I’d be dancing in the streets, happy as hell, if my candidate were sailing to victory.

Every post from one of these idiots, getting rude and snarky, is IMPORTANT. They are, in effect, messages to us from the Obama Camp–and the messages are saying “OH FUCK…our CANDIDATE IS TANKING!!! Shit, shit, SHIT!!!! We need to try to discredit and shut up all these people who don’t like him…we have to CONTROL THE MESSAGE!!! Awwwww, SHIT!!!! Make them STOP, Ma, make them STOP!!!”

Or words to that effect.

Laugh when you see them. Let your heart lift with every snarky, shitty comment they make.

The more they post, the lower Obama is in the polls. The correlation is obvious. It’s demonstrable, too.

And, like this: “Obama’s doing just fine, and I’m confident he’ll make the right choices for his inner circle.”

In the first instance, only a bot, or an absolute fool, would make such concrete pronouncements given the current status of the race, and Obama’s stagnated campaign.

In the second instance, given all of the people that are “not the people Obama knew”, or in some cases “hardly knew”, yet were integral elements in his life for decades, and are now discarded like yesterday’s newpaper, your statement is ridiculous.

It is very hard to suddenly accept Obama as being unquestionably able to make the correct choices under any circumstances.

Your readiness to disregard reality in both instances, again, means you are a bot or an easily deceived fool.

Are you desperately trying to convince people to believe your bareass emperor has a few shreds of clothing on? Are you doing it to beat back the terror, that your hero is going to lose, and lose big?

You’re not going to change a single heart or mind. You’re not going to change a single vote TOWARDS Obama.

You might convince a few third party/write-in voters to say, Awww, fuck it–and vote for McCain INSTEAD.

It sucks being you–your idol is going to lose. Why? Because he’s stupid, just like his supporters. Because he’s arrogant and rude, just like his supporters. Because he exercises profoundly poor judgment…just like his supporters.

You don’t build a party by chopping it in half–Obama quite obviously doesn’t understand that. And neither, it’s clear, do you!

sf–a little curious where you are drawing your conclusions from. Obama’s polling lately is quite disturbing. He is losing ground, not gaining it. And those numbers come at a time when democrats outnumber republicans and the mood of the country is as favoarable to a democrat as it will ever be. Also, he is currently outspending McCain 7-1 in ads, McCain hasn’t even started his campaign in essence. Obama’s favorables are dropping because of his own missteps.
His recent concession to supporting the full seating of MI and FL should tell you something.
Not selecting Hillary as VP was a pretty dumb move. He needs Hillary’s voters. If you are ASSUMING independents and undecided voters are going to break largely for Obama, I’d love know your reasons.

What you are trying to say about Bill I have no idea…of course he would assent to having his financial records checked, his wife was running for President. So that statement is totally absurd, though in keeping with a typical Obama supporters CDS syndrome.

Comment by sfhillary | 2008-08-07 12:40:52

See my links above. There is no question that Obama was sliding in the polls for at least a week; at his low point a week or so ago, the best numbers had him and McCain in roughly a tie nationally. As you can see from the links I offered above, he has since moved back into a small lead in a number of national polls. And the state by state numbers as applied to the electoral college have never stopped projecting an Obama victory. And all of that doesn’t even take into account the ground/organizational game, which will hugely favor Obama.

Not to mention the fact that McCain is an absolute train wreck of a candidate and campaign. Go look at Intrade or any of the other political betting sites if you want to know what the pros think.

Comment by Steve in KC | 2008-08-07 14:48:42

Sometimes I think the reason so many of the O-kids, the political newcomers, actually believe his victory is inevitable is because they have been raised in the “new” PC school systems where “everybody gets their turn.” Everyone gets an “award” for just showing up. They can’t imagine a loss by their “cool” candidate to an “old guy.”

Let’s see, now… how many “cool” Democratic contenders, supported by the “youth vote” have had their sense of inevitability shattered on an early Wednesday morning in a leap year November? And I’ve always voted Democratic so I should know the answer to this one… let’s see, for me it started with George McGovern. All the kids were crazy about him. How many states did he win? As I recall, he didn’t even win his home state. Just lonely liberal Mass.

Obama’s slide occurred at a time when he should have been dominating McCain. Coming out of the primary and into his trip he enjoyed a perfect storm of media coverage. You really should be asking “why isn’t he doing better”? If you are not asking that, you are ignoring a very important vulnerability in your candidate.
I don’t care a whit, but you should.

And your off the cuff dismissal of McCain is pretty dangerous for you as well. Again, I don’t care. Over confidence has brought down greater leaders than Obama. Indulge yourself in it if that is your pleasure, but I wouldn’t bet the rent money on it.

Go look at Intrade or any of the other political betting sites if you want to know what the pros think.

From Intrade’s site:
The predictions or prices on intrade are predictions, they are not guarantees or certainties. A market that is trading at 90, means that there is a 90% chance of the event happening. 90% means the event it is highly likely to occur, but not guaranteed. Intrade’s predictions have been wrong in the past, and will be again in the future. However, the Intrade market mechanism of aggregating opinions to give the an estimate of likelihood of an uncertain future event occurring is the best one we know.

It’s not necessarily “the pros” that make Intrade’s market predictions. It’s the members that place the trades. People like you and me. No series 7 required.

As for BO winning “fairly easily” poor Barry is losing points sharply with most of his demographics.

As for “confident he’ll make the right choices”; why is anyone confident in the man? Barack has flipped on many key issues – and he’s vague, playing all sides on others — from where does this “certainty” arise???

Remember all the “Undecided voters” in the primaries. They always went for Hillary. My guess is the same will happen in the General Election but this time they will vote for McCain. Obama: “America is no longer what it once was”

When presidential candidates answer questions from children about why they want the job, most will give an answer that uplifts the child and the candidate. Not Barack Obama. At a campaign stop in Elkhart, Indiana, a seven-year-old girl asked the Democrat why he wants to be President — and he told her that America has gone downhill:

http://hotair.com/archives/2008/08/07/obama-america-is-no-longer-what-it-once-was/

I just hope the revelation doesn’t come AFTER it is too late and the Convention is over. The DNC has MANIPULATED this election and selected this loser who didn’t even get enough delegates to BE the nominee! This is an outrage, even worse than the Republicans stealing TWO elections. Let’s follow their whacked out thinking. They fantasize that Hillary would cut them out and dump on them if she were the nominee. Therefore, it’s legitimate for them to cut her out and dump on her and her supporters. Make sense?

This is it in a nutshell, they keep grasping for any straw they can find. You’re damn right she would have offered the VP slot to Obama a month ago. This is friggin’ adolescent, immature and illogical rantings. A logical, sensible person does not reason like this.

I would have been a smart move on her part, imprisoning him in a meaningless job for 8 years, yet close enough to be controlled. The downside of the choice is that it makes the Democrats two votes short in the Senate instead of one.

Failing that Obama would be a good choice for the Supreme Court since a lifetime job would have kept him out of the way permanently.

So, tell me why, Galllup the only national that seems to always give Obama an edge on the polling by a few points(still a tie within the margin of error), although that does it make it more startling when they too come down down to a tie and a 1 pt difference, but they show a bias when they post such striking talking point differences on same data, but when reversed on the candidate of choice.

” Election 2008

Why, when [Obama]Soetoro is up 3 pts, it’s a modest lead or “a 3 point edge”…”mainting his lead” etc,

Obama’s “They would have done…” is an exact replica of his “They are gonna do…” this or that. Any time he wants to disrespect a person or group he claims he has ESP and can see in the future and ascribes to those he is insulting the same behavior and views he is projecting.

He just knows McCain will behave like a racist, so it is acceptable for him to throw out racist comments. He just knows Hillary would have treated him like left over dogshit, so it is perfectly acceptable for him to mistreat her.

The problem is that he has never had any evidence that this is how either McCain or Hillary Clinton would have behaved. In fact there is an abundance to the contrary. Bill and Hillary Clinton have bent over backwards to treat Obama fairly. They have gone way beyond what was necessary or what any candidate in the past has ever done to support Obama.

It is not their fault he is a bad candidate and Hillary’s supporters see right through him. He assumes we won ‘t notice how badly he is treating the Clinton’s and by extension, US.

I am proud of Bill Clinton for standing up for himself and Hillary. Need more leaders with his kind of strength of character.

So the ever inspiring Upchuck Todd relays this message to tell us why Barack is snubbing the Clintons? Is nanny nanny boo boo the game of politics Barack is playing? I thought he was going to run a better campaign than that.

My problem with this reasoning is the fact that OBAMA IS A NOTHING NOBODY AND HAS NO RECORD!!!! So why SHOULD Hillary and Bill fall all over him if the roles were reversed? Obama has accomplished nothing that would make the Clintons feel gratitude or even obligation to him.

The real truth of it all is they cannot STAND the fact that they could not get anywhere without the Clintons.

I have a lot of songs that remind me of Obama. Mostly they are just parts of songs.

Like for instance, The Grand Illusion by Styx.

Here’s the best one that must be Obama’s innermost thoughts when he thinks of Hillary:

When you were here before,
Couldn’t look you in the eye
You’re just like an angel,
Your skin makes me cry

You float like a feather
In a beautiful world
I wish I was special
You’re so very special

But I’m a creep,
I’m a weirdo
What the hell am I doin’ here?
I don’t belong here

I don’t care if it hurts,
I wanna have control
I want a perfect body
I want a perfect soul

I want you to notice
when I’m not around
You’re so very special
I wish I was special

But I’m a creep
I’m a weirdo
What the hell am I doin’ here?
I don’t belong here, ohhhh, ohhhh

She’s running out the door
She’s running out
She run run run run…
run…

Whatever makes you happy
Whatever you want
You’re so very special
I wish I was special

But I’m a creep,
I’m a weirdo
What the hell am I doin’ here?
I don’t belong here

“If Hillary Clinton were the nominee, Barack Obama would have been the vice presidential nominee a month ago.”

I would have hoped not. All of his problems with his acquaintances and with the attacks on Senator Clinton during the primaries would still have been there, and this rising problem of his birth certificate would have been another difficulty for the Repulicans to exploit during the general election. Senator Obama may have then become the Thomas Eagleton of 2008.

Obama is high maintenance. Everyone has to pay him attention. Everyone must come to terms with what HE has gone through. And most importantly, every possible reason for him failing must be brought to light, be they true or false. That’s the very definition of high maintenance and Obama fits the bill. He’s doing everything possible to fail so he can blame others. It’s a chronic disability. He simply cannot help himself and will blame anyone and everyone he can.

What he doesn’t realise is that high maintenance people usually end up losing. This is why he never stays at one job for long. He moves on rather quickly. I bet if Obama actually did win the November election, he’d be fine with letting someone else run things as long as he still gets all the glory.

Kerry did the same thing, to a lesser extent, in 2004. It is possible that receiving the (presumptive) nomination triggers a state of arrogance. The media has glossed over this in Obama’s case (they would, wouldn’t they?), mentioning only that the Obama campaign is shunning outside influences and becoming Chicago-centric.

Kerry’s supposed arrogance stemmed from winning 46 out of 50 states in the primary and getting three times the popular vote of his nearest rival.

Obama’s supposed arrogance rests upon 52% of the delegates opposed to Clinton’s 48% and a minority share of the popular vote.

Yes in Obama’s circumstances arrogance would truly be delusional.

So what is it? these people are not nuts, they make their living by bilking the public.

Did the con man get conned? I don’t think so.

So what’s really going on? Is it a reaction to McCain’s buoyancy? A flinch to a coming scandal? Circling the wagons to fend off an imagined putsch (if unlikely) at the Convention?

Obama would rather kiss ass in the middle east.

With energy issues taking center stage in the presidential campaign, 81% of Americans see development of new energy sources as an urgent priority. Only 9% disagree.

For nearly two-thirds (65%), finding new sources of energy is more important that reducing the amount of energy Americans now consume. Twenty-eight percent (28%) think reducing current usage is more important.

I would refer these cases to Dr. Marx in Fredonia, Ny.

He has a thriving clinical practice there.

There is also a state university there. I imagine it has a psychiatric ward where they can be housed before their treatment.

And the really bad head cases might have to be evacuated to the rear area.

If the Navy can chart the tides well, the landing craft could drop the gates at Dunkirk, and they could be evacuated to Canada.

Where there is a relatively liberal atmosphere and free health insurance.

Actually, in order to break out in the primarys Obama’s campaign needed to do 3 things that they did accomplish very well. Hillary was by far the most favored candidate so they needed to 1–trivialize and tarnish the Clinton presidency, 2–make Bill appear to be a liability, and 3–tarnish the Clinton image with black voters.

A despicable plan, but it worked amazingly well because the press was all onboard with trashing the Clintons.
The big downside with all of this, it was a “scorched earth” kind of a move. And he has alienated many Clinton supporters it is now IMPOSSIBLE to get back.

But does Obama have an equally brilliant plan for dealing with McCain? Not so far. Matter of fact, McCain neutralized Obama in two areas already and hardly lifted a finger to do them. 1–racebaiting, and 2–appearing in front of large adoring crowds are now not going to work so well for Obama. He will get nailed by even the press for the first and laughed at and called pompous for the second.

What is Obama going to do now? Run on his record? hahaha.
His votes on the Cheney Energy bill and FISA, his reversal on offshore drilling, his lack of support for UHC are major problems. He can not run a GE campaign the same way he ran his primary campaign. The days of talking about a light coming down to shine on you are over. He will be rightly ridiculed for that nonsense every step of the way. He is now going to have to be a policy wonk, and frankly I’m not sure he can be.

Comment by Annie Oakley | 2008-08-07 14:53:50

That wanker won’t wonk. He’ll pander. He always said he could get republican votes, he just didn’t say how. After all, the bailouts and blocked investigations have just begun.

Comment by Slobodaneee | 2008-08-07 22:29:30

the Clintons did all three of the things you listed all by themselves. As far as the general election, McCain is no policy wonk either and has his own share of flip flops. Regarding UHC, Obama’s plan is much more like Clinton’s plan (which was an almost direct rip off of John Edwards’s plan) than anything McCain has in mind, but plans don’t matter to many if not all of you. Obama did the unforgivable. He beat the Clintons.

Hi Larry: Good post. Unfortunately, the democratic party has gone over the cliff. All of them are totally brain dead as is Obama. I read an article on Savage Politics the other day and one of the commenters made the following comments which I think are fantastic. My belief is Obama is not a U.S. citizen and cannot produce a valid birth certificate. I personally hope all democatic supers do not get re-elected. The un-democratic party is in need of a thorough cleansing. When the democratic supers and democratic spokespersons can lie and twist and lie for Obama with a straight face, it all about power and money, not about America or its citizens. I tried to get the commenter’s permission before I copied this but the post was already closed. Anyway, here are the comments I was talking about which I believe are excellent:

Captain Roulstone,

I hope that you will catch this post – I thank you for your kind reply to me above.

I feel this is a gigantic story that the media will not cover, that Bill Clinton recently ‘alluded’ to, and that Hillary supposedly talked about to Super Delegates on the phone as early as April or May –

Barrack Obama’s Birth Certificate IS A FORGERY. Apparently they have found his sister’s name on the document after analyzing it thoroughly.

http://noquarterusa.net/blog/2008/08/05/breaking-sister-mayas-name-uncovered-on-phony-obama-birth-certificate/

Now – I see a series of unnecessary movements by his campaign (Obama’s) over the last 4 months or so. Now that we are blessed to have you here and thus a stronger link to the good Senator, I would respectfully request that you read the story and consider whether this would be something that the Senator’s campaign would like to validate.

Obama’s campaign, as I am certain you know, has done some very peculiar things in regards to his past. The msm is complicit as well by not following leads and killing stories that might air.

Obama’s campaign Foreign Policy advisor was the CEO of a company who’s employees broke into Barack’s passport records – or those of his mother. Of course if you toss in the Senators from NY and AZ – it looks like an act of someone interested in ALL the candidates, rather than someone trying to, perhaps, ‘fix a problem’ for one candidate in particular.

Add this to the unnecessary legislation that was put forward ‘clearing’ Senator McCain to run for office – when no such ‘clearance’ was needed. Sounds to me like a preempitve strike so that they can demand equal treatment should someone ELSE require ‘exceptions’ to the rules. Of course, again, Senator McCain required no such ‘permissions’ and to me, with Claire McCaskill heading the push – there is al ulterior motive here – and it is not judiciousness or magnanimous behavior. I believe that if Obama’s records prove he was not born in the U.S. – they will use this ‘permission’ given to McCain as a RACE ISSUE – infuriating the AA community into outrage that McCain was given a pass for not being born in the U.S. directly – so why not Barack. It just stinks to high heaven.

Then you have the birth certificate issue. First he wouldn’t or couldn’t come up with one. Then he started equivocating over it – then he issued on his website the certificate that now has been proven to be false. What on earth would the motivation be to substitute and manipulate your sister’s birth certificate to pass off as your own? If there is not an issue why toss up details about time spent in Kenya? Barack tells us his mother spent 72 hours immediately prior to his birth, in Kenya, and then returned to have him.

Now I have done reasearch and am a bit of an aviation buff. I went back to see just what aircraft were available and when, in order to fly someone to Kenya, in 1961, and then back again within 3 days. Not even going over the fact that today and even MORE SO in the past – a 9 months pregnant woman would almost certainly be denied the ability to fly, especially a long flight, probably originating in Seattle (as the hints and records seem to imply), over the Pacific Ocean.

The DC8 or Boeing 707 was operational for its first flights in late 1958. Few companies flew the 4 engine jet through 1959 – and only the most profitable, highly travelled routes would be using this ULTRA expensive aircraft. No routes to any African country were considered high-traffic routes, with only a London – Johannesburg route being a moderate traffic route.

The flight WITH the jet would have taken, from Seattle, approximately 24 hours to complete, with refueling and passenger changes. But what is more likely is that Obama’s mother would have taken a 4 engine propeller plane – like the Pan Am Super Constellation – overseas – requiring as much as 32 hours to complete with stopovers, refueling, and passenger changes.

There is NO WAY A.) that she was allowed to fly at her stage of pregnancy, and B.) that she flew to Kenya, stayed about 6 hours, and then hopped on the plane back to Seattle, and then gave birth.

There is a reason for all of this – and for the MSM not even to look into it is a serious, and to me deliberate, oversight.

I appreciate any response you might have and forgive me for the length of my thoughts. I just believe there is a HUGE story here – Bill Clinton doesn’t just drop Bon Mots for nothing. There is meat here, there is motivation here, and there is fraud here. What it ultimately proves to be, I am not certain, but someone in the McCain campaign needs to start digging and start digging deeply – and fast.

Thank you sir, an honor to have your ‘ear’

Comment by Dawnelle Leona del Puma | 2008-08-07 13:20:18

excellent!

and you are correct….. with flying

I was 7 months pregnant with my daughter and yet had another month to serve on active duty before returning from Korea. They sent me early saying no one is allowed to fly after 7 months and not for a month AFTER giving birth.

But that was the military a qtr century ago! YIKES!

Comment by bemused | 2008-08-07 14:28:15

Yes, this part about Ann being pregnant and denied flight has not been alluded to so specifically before. Where did you get this info? Also, one has to consider that since Kenya is so far from Hawaii, the various flight possibilities going west OR east, I think. From Hawaii to NY, several flights perhaps. NY to London, established route already? London to Rome to Mombasa or ? Versus the other way, has those long legs over the ocean.

Comment by Idiocracy08 | 2008-08-07 14:35:23

Hey – didn’t Clinton go to Africa? Maybe he stopped off over in Hawaii, and got his secret service men to check on the BO’s BC???? Then he makes the comment about the Constitution.

uh-huh!

Comment by bemused | 2008-08-07 15:02:35

This is what gets me: BO has been hanging with the SS for over a year. The original mandate of the SS was to bust counterfeiting and money laundry. Here is the perfect suspect for both (maybe not counterfeiting money, but documents) and the special cops are always there. They surely have extras resting while some are on duty, so they aren’t all tied up with guarding the Precious ass. I was accused of having pizza dreams, but it still seems to me that if BO were a crook in a wide web of crookery, as he seems to be, these guys should be taking notes. And gloating as they are up close and personal with the whole gang.

Barack tells us his mother spent 72 hours immediately prior to his birth, in Kenya, and then returned to have him.

That makes it plausible that he was born in Kenya. After all, his mother hated the “establishment.” Maybe she didn’t want her son to be American.

Comment by 935 Lies | 2008-08-07 16:02:16

>>> with only a London – Johannesburg route being a moderate traffic route.

I wouldn’t bet AGAINST there being a Brussels – Leopoldville – JoBerg turbibe-powered route back then, but that’s because of my great admiration for SABENA and SAA airplane drivers.

Those Belgians were some aviatin’ Spartans!

And, there would certainly not have been any direct flights from Kenya to CONUS. BOAC still had the dingdong then, so a London stop would have been mandatory. I’ve been Nairobi-London-CONUS (BritAir)and CONUS-Amsterdam-Nairobi (KLM) but it’s been awhile. Before 2004, anyway.

Comment by bayareavoter | 2008-08-07 13:12:55

What still worries me about the Chosen One and his head henchman, Axelrove, is that they will use ACORN and their voter reg drive to sign up enough felons and dead people to manipulate the results.

Remember what happened at the last minute in Indiana? And other reports of ACORN fraud in the primaries?

Comment by Firefly | 2008-08-07 13:47:32

And it’s not just ACORN – Howard Dean was front-and-center for a while (back in 2004-2005) on the black box voting issue. He even did a TV program with the woman (can’t remember her name) who was trying to expose the republicans for their illegal manipulation of elections using electronic voting machines. They stood on the stage and showed the audience EXACTLY how the machines can be fixed.

Gee, Howard – whatever happened to your “concern” about rigging elections? Seems to have gone “poof” for some reason. :)

I’m betting that Howie found out so much about the inner workings of those machines and the methods by which elections are rigged he decided to, instead of fixing it, he’d “fix” it himself – meaning the next election.

I think Howie and the DNC have decided that, rather than take the moral highground, it’s more “profitable” to cheat and lie and commit fraud just like the republicans – and they’re now betting the farm they can do the dastardly deeds even better than the republicans. They’ve adopted so many of the rovester’s strategies already, just to get their fraud to the big stadium.

No coinkidinkie that they’ve got Chuck Hagel, the republican who’s rigged many an election by owning the voting machine company, on their “short list” for bambi’s VP. Barky’s new BFF, donchaknow.

Comment by JP49 | 2008-08-07 13:13:30

I was just wondering: Obama’s mother is dead now and is there any way that someone would be able to access her passport information? The U.S. government owes it to this country to be sure that a candidate is truly an American citizen before they run for POTUS. In this respect I hold the democratic party and the mass news media complicit in this cover up. Obama broke rules while overseas yet I see no government action against him.

Comment by jjran | 2008-08-07 13:14:30

If Hillary is the nominee, Obama would have been vetted by now… all the hidden papers would be out… You know how thorough Hillary can be going over paper work……… The fraud that Obama is would have been out in the clear…. and probably he would have resigned his US Senate sit by now….

Obama is nothing but a BIG Wrong that America wouldn’t and couldn’t elect.

Obama is in a virtual dead heat with McCain. Anyone with half a brain can figure out that this is a very troubling sign considering the mess this country is in with the Bush years. He should have a double digit lead not a 1 point lead. That is the sad reality. If Obama is the nominee he will lose. The Republicans are waiting for his nomination to be official so they can air out all his dirty laundry.

Oh really, Larry? Then why has NQ banned my IP address from home? Looks like other skeptical voices have been banned too. No more Ray, believe, ummm, Ted or Francis. Then you have the nerve yesterday to question Barack Obama’s treatment of reporters who write critical articles about him!!!! Gimme a break!

Why was I banned? Because I had the audacity to ask Techdude and Texas Darlin to provide independent, corroborating evidence to support his claim that BO’s BC was a fake. Although I was called every name in the book, I did not insult anyone back. I simply presented a dissenting view, and I tried to do so in a respectful manner.

You want to ban me from NQ…fine by me. But do me a favor and do not call this an open forum.
Despite my profound differences with you, I have always respected you as someone who shot straight, especially on foreign policy. But banning people simply because they do not agree with the prevailing POV pretty lame.

As a psychological matter, projection is a complicated subject. Larry, allow me to clarify a little.

Positive things are projected as well. Young children do this (hero worship). Undeveloped adults do this. An entire nation can do this. Each of us individually project time time to time – until, and if, we are lucky enough to become aware enough to “see” and withdraw our projections.

There is a lot of “projection” from Obama’s cult crowd to Obama. They attribute characteristics to him he really does not have, feeding into his own negative projections and desire for power at any cost to We The People, to our constitutional and moral principles of democracy, and to whatever conscience and ethics that he otherwise might salvage.

Either way, negative or positive, projection is always non-real, a not consciously aware person or people or mass mind, doing this. Projection is Always not conscious. And one is always robbed of authentic individuality. This of course prevents real and true connection. Projection can become very dangerous because it can be filled with unbridled, blind emotion and rage. This is not always outwardly or initially visible. Like others, I have said before, here say again, exploitive, duplicitous, fake Obama is dangerous.

I believe C.G. Jung’s ideas about “projection of the shadow” is particularly relevant here.

Comment by steven Mather | 2008-08-07 14:05:48

Great stuff. Projection is one mechanism we use to make meaning in the world.

In interaction ritual theory, it would be said that his zealous supporters have made him into a sacred object, who embodies the emotional energy that they feel when they congregate to do work on their group’s behalf (e.g. electing a Democrat, opposing racism, opposing the war, and, unfortunately. vilifying the Clinton’s so as to elect their Democrat, to name a few things they work on). In this sense, he is a living symbol of the aspirations of their movement.

Hillary, minus the overt messianic overtones, can be said to do the same thing for those who see her as a member of the pantheon of feminist icons (sacred objects).

Comment by Lisa S | 2008-08-07 13:55:50

Obama’s crew is “praying” for Hillary. Completely twisting around what she said about convention. Believe that they are so shocked by how poorly Obama is doing, that they need a scapegoat to explain it. If Obama loses it is because of Obama – not because of Hillary (or Bill).

Since this country is in need of a “reset” I think McCain should pick Hillary as his running mate and the two of them should say ’screw you’ to their respective parties and run as independants…that might shake things up a bit..and they’d probably win.

The Obama campaign just doesn’t ‘get it’, they only see through their own limited lense. People believe we are against Obama because we want ‘revenge’, does it ever occur to any of them that we want democracy?

Comment by Annie Oakley | 2008-08-07 15:16:55

I love that scenario. I don’t think it’ll happen, but I wish it would. Both parties are broken. The people of this country will once again be the losers in this election. The Independents are, or are becoming, the biggest party as a protest. Someone is going to step and claim that group soon. I’d like it to be McCain and Clinton on the platform of making our government accountable to the citizens again.

Obama’s life is fiction with some truthful info thrown in.

Maybe there is a retired senior attorney who could make a formal complaint for us pro bono.

Even if it turns out he’s a citizen on paper (I’ll never believe it at this point), it’s a felony to deceive anyone with a fraudulent BC or COLB. Obama has done this on his website. He has been using this forged document as prove of his eligibility to campaign as a candidate for the presidency.

Obama is jealous of HRC. He knows she won. He couldn’t make the grade, even with the media in his pocket and millions of kool-aid drinkers and let’s not forget all the millions of dollars. The DNC had to select him and borrow from Peter to pay Paul. And, he still doesn’t have it sewed up.

Hillary Clinton, today

She said that because she know all of her supporters will not commit themselves into making sure Obama is the next president. We are committed to making sure she is the next president, and if not better McCain than Obama…

I don’t think the web chat had anything to do with what Hillary said. I think it had everything to do with what we said. She got her hands on the pulse of what people are feeling and saying. She’s a smart lady and it’s too soon to play her hand. We gave her a lot of ammunition and show of support. I think she’s drawing strenght from us right now and will make a move when it will work out best for her…and thereby for her supporters and this country. Obama’s henchmen are constantly on guard and will try to crush her at every turn. Now is the time to be patient and have hope.

The closeness in the polls should be a warning. Many RNC high rollers are holding back from McCain because they think he can’t win. As long as McCain keeps steady until after the RNC convention, the high rollers might change their minds and start the cash infusion.

As for Obama and his juvenile antics with Hillary Clinton. All the more reason to indicate that he really isn’t ready to be president.

The last time I checked the polls people preferred a generic democrat over Obama. People like to quote “registered voters” in the gallup polls, but McCain is doing better with “likely voters”.

Obama can’t afford to play safe like he did with Hilary Clinton. He isn’t doing well in safe mode and actually wasn’t doing well in safe mode in the primaries either. Obama ran a primary campaign with the help of the DNC. Hillary Clinton was already laying the groundwork for the general election during her primary run. Hillary Clinton would have scored big electoral college votes, Obama not enough

“As long as McCain keeps steady until after the RNC convention, the high rollers might change their minds and start the cash infusion.”

Spot on.

Hence the media’s “amazement” at McCain’s buoyancy while representing the Republican party in the dying days of the worst Republican administration ever. This and not the first black (well, sort of) President may become the story similar to George Foreman’s “Father Time” episode. The editorial boards are solidly business oligarchy-oriented and will soon whip the stringers into line.

There is also a funding potential issue here. The Democrat funding base has so far been tapped for half a billion dollars by all candidates while the GOP has been tapped for only a quarter of a billion dollars. Soros is going to have to dig even further into his 9 Billion to counter this.

The GOP has more than the potential to fund the equivalent of funding one year’s operations in Iraq only compressed into the interval September 5 to November 4.

So far we’ve spent three quarters of a trillion dollars to elect Archie and Jughead.

The country is FUBAR.

Oh the polls are tight! The sky is falling! Not. the generic democrat always beats the generic republican. I remember this same nonsense in 04 and read a post on HuffPo from ‘92 about the same whining that the presumptive dem candidate, Bubba, should be far ahead of daddy Bush. None of us can say what will happen, but it should be interesting. Either way I think Clinton is finished as a viable presidential candidate. Obama wins and it is all over. Obama loses and it can be tied back to the PUMAs, Clinton is finished as well.

Comment by Larse12 | 2008-08-07 15:29:52

Obama will not win. The Republicans haven’t even started pulling out the goods they have on him. They don’t want to have to take on the Clintons so they are waiting till after Denver. The DNC is so damn stupid. No wonder the Republicans will be in the White House another 8 years. Thanks Howard Dean!!!

Swift Boats are nice, but I have already volunteered for the Unterseebootes.

Führer der Unterseeboote has ordered me to report to the pens in Kiel on the 20th, and provided free air transport.

Führer der Unterseeboote has described this as a risk-free operation and a mercy killing.

Once Kommodore McCain orders our wolf packs to sea, about 1 September, we are expected to engage an already crippled tanker, loaded to the gills with methane. And we have been provided with pictures and silhouettes, to make sure we identify the target correctly when the periscope rises.

I know nothing of the tactics or strategy any of this. I simply volunteered as a nurse.

All BO and his supporters ever do is project their feeling onto others. Look at these crazy racists like MO, Wright, and Pfleger.

They say the must horrible racist things, then turn around and accuse “whitey” of it. How anyone can be in so much denial, and refuse to own their feelings is beyond me.

Of course, they rationalize their hatred of “Whitey” is ok, though. They just don’t see that the hate they are feeling stems from their own projection. They are eaten from within. No wonder MO, Wright, Farrkhan, Pfleger…are so horrid.

Comment by bert | 2008-08-07 17:41:21

“Chuck Todd said that the “feeling in Chicago,” presumably referring to the Obama campaign, is that Hillary Clinton is seeking treatment that she would never have given Barack Obama had the roles been reversed.”

Yeah!!! Just like Obama said he would get Clinton’s voters but she would never get his. And how is that prediction turning out for you Barry?

Comment by Christy | 2008-08-07 17:56:24

IMHO- I think BO is ignoring 18 million of us because he truly is a weak-minded, non-resilient man. He is afraid that if he opens up to Clinton supporters, he will be drained of what little mental energy he has.

BO is an extremely low-energy individual. He comes off as aloof much of the time because he doesn’t have any physical or mental energy to deal with people. He is tired, and he withdraws. He needs a cigarette.

I believe this fundamental lack of stamina is one of the reasons he married Memechelle. Look at her, she radiates superfluous rage and energy. BO basks and feeds on her excess emotion. He needs that. In return, Meme has a husband that never tires of her rants.

Comment by Slobodaneee | 2008-08-07 22:47:21

Christy wrote: “He needs that. In return, Meme has a husband that never tires of her rants.”

Kind of like Bill and Hillary. By the way, Obama may be ignoring you but he is not ignoring 18 million Hill voters. Despite your efforts, and Hill’s, most Hill voters will be backing Obama. I know you won’t nor will many others here, but in the end most will.

Comment by Christy | 2008-08-07 18:03:01

Now the Clintons- here we have a couple of true leaders. Both amazingly resilient, tough, fair, and understanding.

BO is no leader. No doesn’t have what it takes.

Comment by cathnealon | 2008-08-07 18:04:14

Clinton has one viable choice–she needs to acquiesce to anything BO wants and then watch as the Repubs tear him to pieces. I f she does that it will completely throw him and the msm off their game and no one will be able to use her as a scapegoat which is their only tactic(besides the race card) when it comes to Clinton. If by some miracle he is found out before the convention and exposed then it will be all over for him. However, we Hillary supporters have to undertand what we are dealing with at this point and that the most important thing is that Hillary will be ready to lead whether now or in 2012. The msm is already beginning to spin that she is dividing the party by putting her name in for the roll call and it will get worse. She needs to play the game and not give the evil one any ammunition. Let him go down on his own with Hillary cheering and clapping from a distance.

Comment by Christy | 2008-08-07 18:25:16

Exactly cath- Hill is doing what she has to. Because otherwise the DNC would throw her out and blame her for BO’s downfall.

They’ve got a gun to her head. She’s depending on her supporters to figure out what to do.

Comment by Ben David | 2008-08-07 18:26:53

I believe obama and his folks have spent too much time near the inner circle of thought and they are on their own with the zombies.

Comment by Christy | 2008-08-07 19:19:40

BO is also continuing to disrespect Hill and Bill because he knows they outshine him. BO is an empty shell with no real strength of conviction.

He has gotten this far in his political career by playing the “poor me” race card, and never appearing threatening. He has been directed by strong-minded constituents like Wright and MO all along. Without them, he would collapse.

Very young people may be fooled by BO’s aloof attitude and think it means he’s “cool”. But it really means he lacks verbal and tactical skills. The truth is he’s a depleted little man who needs constant nurturance from his close, trusted adorers.

I would like to know what BO considers a workout. With a caved-in scrawny chest like that, I know he hasn’t been lifting weights.

Comment by cathnealon | 2008-08-07 20:02:09

Christy
Exactly–you hit the nail on the head. And I think that whole thing about him working out is crap, another lie to try and make him seem ‘cool.’ In fact, I think with his demeanor and his inability to articulate without um’s and uh’s when he’s one on one that he might be using again.

I have no guilt even in moving away.

It’s just obvious to me.

I don’t agree with most posters here, which is why I check in once in awhile.

I think the Democratic Party is dead.

Bush killed it. It was dead, and then 8 years of Bush just killed it.

Today, it’s been usurped by kids raised in Republican homes.

I have no interest in joining them.

Wouldn’t this one from Gnarls Barkley be an appropriate theme song for the Obama campaign?

Wow! Perfect.

OFF TOPIC BUT: 1776 is now an Independence Day mainstay. Great musical. Another Larry rec. for all to see.

Add movie and music critic to his extensive bio.

Comment by sakel | 2008-08-08 12:33:03

LARRY, I agree with everything in your insightful column, but I state with utmost certainly that YOU ARE WRONG ABOUT THE OBAMA CAMPAIGN’s theme song being Ludacris’ infamous Hillary “bitch” reference.

We have good reason to believe that the OFFICIAL AXELROD CAMPAIGN THEME SONG BELONGS TO JAY-Z Rapper-Wannabe, Mr. Barrack Hussein Obama who poudly displayed it himself on two memorable, historic occasions:

1. In Iowa when the background song was “I got 99 Problems, but BITCH ain’t one of them” clearly attributing his venomously sexist epithet to Sen. Hillary Clinton!

2. After Barry’s patheticaly, stutteringly dumber-than-dumb ABC Debate performance (that exposed him as a stutteringly vacuous candidate) he went on stage in N.C. and did his Jay-Z rapper wannabe ‘cool’ “flip-offing” of his fellow female senator–smirkingly pausing, after his whining about Hillary beating the debating-crap out of him, and waiting for his audience to applaud his juvenile dusting and scraping like excrement off his shoes…Hillary Clinton!

Please try to remember Jay-Z gets preference on Mr. Barack’s ipod before Ludacris. Of couse, Ludacris has assurances that once Barrack gets to the White House, Luda will get a pardon and be released from the slammer. Unfortunately for Jay-Z, no such assurances were given. Of course, Barrack’s presidential pardon may be extended to such feminist rappers once he gets the Top Job–god help us!…

Please, Larry, do include Jay-Z in Barack’s repertoire next time, for the sake of credits when the Emmys start rolling out on the White House lawn some day. Rev. Wright will be the M.C. I was informed by Barry’s campaign…

Thanks for telling it like it, Larry!

Pumas roar and
NoBama leaves his arugula and starts smoking again!

[...] Obama’s Delusional Campaign: Seized by Demons in Their Heads (by Larry Johnson at No Quarter) On Morning Joe [Thursday, NBC political editor] Chuck Todd said that the “feeling in Chicago,” presumably referring to the Obama campaign, is that Hillary Clinton is seeking treatment that she would never have given Barack Obama had the roles been reversed. If they REALLY believe that, then they are fools. If Hillary Clinton were the nominee, Barack Obama would have been the vice presidential nominee a month ago… Let’s follow their whacked out thinking. They fantasize that Hillary would cut them out and dump on them if she were the nominee. Therefore, it’s legitimate for them to cut her out and dump on her and her supporters. Make sense? Sounds an awful lot like Republicans.  Especially the Bush people. [...]
