Tonight on NQR from 10pm to 11pm ET: The South Asia Hour.
Join us tonight at 10pm for the debut of our new weekly show on South Asia, hosted by DCMediagirl and Pakistani blogger Nail ‘em Up.
It’s another election cycle here in the U.S. and yet another presidential candidate is trying to score points with voters by promising to level more countries. This time the candidate is Barack Obama, and it’s South Asia’s turn to feel the pain. Didn’t we learn ANYTHING from our misadventures in Iraq? During this show, we’ll be demystifying the region – India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, etc. – and answering questions about the subcontinent.
DCMediagirl is a veteran broadcaster who’s been on assignment in Islamabad and produced Urdu news programs. Her co-host, Nail ‘em Up, is “the rudest Pakistani blogger” on the internet. Together they’ll give us an inside look at the culture and concerns of South Asians today.
