Obama’s Impending Pearl Harbor

After a very productive time (working, not playing) in Hawaii, I believe that the Japanese attack at Pearl Harbor is an apt metaphor for what awaits Barack Obama if he becomes the Democrat’s official nominee. Michelle’s “whitey” tape and the controversy over his birth certificate are the least of his concerns. Opponents of Obama and some proponents of McCain have acquired information that will rapidly erase any memory of the audacity and perfidy of John Edwards.
The “surprise” attack by the Japanese should not have caught the US fleet at Pearl Harbor unawares. There were advanced warnings that people in key positions ignored or shrugged off as unimportant. Well, guess what boys and girls? Similar warnings are now in the hands of the Democratic leadership and they are choosing to ignore the flashing red lights that signal danger ahead.
Just today, courtesy of the Rocky Mountain News, we confirmed that Barack aka Barry Soetoro Obama was a citizen of Kenya since 1963. Barack has yet to stipulate when he renounced or relinquished that citizenship. That will be a distracting issue in the upcoming campaign. Americans don’t want to elect a Kenyan as President. It is that simple.
But then there is the Indonesian problem and his Hawaiian birth certificate.
I confirmed today that several teams/individuals visited Jakarta during the last six months to gather up critical documents regarding Barack. It is amazing what money can buy. The information includes details of how Barack made his way to Pakistan. Oh! Did I mention there have been similar efforts underway in Pakistan. There are several lessons and warnings in the John Edwards affair for Obama. First and foremost, you cannot hide your past.
Did I also mention how small Hawaii is? Republican operatives, with help from their own island backers, have unearthed critical information on Obama and are just biding their time until after the convention to drop it on him. Such as? Having a birth certificate that lists you as Barry Soetoro.
Barack aka Barry Soetoro might have escaped scrutiny back in 1960 when there was no internet. Controlling information back then was so much easier. Not today. It is there for the taking and the Democrats foolishly chose to trust this clown just as they trusted John Edwards.
Who would have thought that John Edwards and his wife would be so arrogant and so disconnected with reality that they would embark on a presidential campaign even though they knew about his affair and the crazy nature of his paramour. Well, that kind of audacity and bamboozlement is not limited to the Edwards family. Meet the Obamas. You don’t know them? Don’t worry, Republican operatives are loaded for bear and you are going to meet a Barack Obama that was hidden and disguised during the Democratic primary. And when the introduction is over the Obama supporters will wish the only thing they had to worry about was a video with Michelle saying disparaging things about caucasians.
Dems. You’ve been warned. Don’t be surprised when the attacks come.

Left Indonicia 1971 for Hawaii where he attended one school until graduation. Barry Soretoro decided at 19 years of age to call himself after his Kenyan father Barrack Obama Jr. The name on his Kenyan birth certificate. Obama Sr was a Kenyan Non-US citizen Muslim on a college grant when he met Stanley Ann Dunham (Obama Jr. Mother) (her dad wanted a boy-hence that name) Obama is an Indonesian and Kenyan citizen. There is a lawsuit filed on Obama eligibility filed Aug 08.

Can you prove this? I wish those documents were in the public domain. The day BEFORE the election the govenor of Hawaii personally certified Obama’s birth certificate after months of requests, lawsuits, ETC. Interesting that what is normally done by a clerk has to be done by a governor, and then she locks it up from public viewing. It must be a valid birth certificate, one above question, right? Right. I assure all of you, that YOUR birth certifcate is in public domain.

Even the timing of the John Edwards problem and the fact that it seemed like a set up, makes you wonder what other thing was behind it. It keeps Obama from having to offer Edwards anything, keeps Edwards from having any influence over Democratic Policy and even keeps him from speaking at the Convention.

Hillary won’t be the nominee this time ’round, OK? There’s simply no way that the Democratic leadership will split the party 10 weeks before an election. Barry is still running ahead in the polls, albeit barely. The superdelegates will swallow hard and take their chances with Obama in November rather than permanently alienate one of their key constituencies, namely black Americans. If Obama were to be denied the nomination at this late stage, no matter how good the reason might be, 90% of black Americans would regard it as just another instance of whitey screwing them over. There’s no way they would turn out in significant numbers to vote for Hillary, which would doom her chances against McCain. The same applies to college students, who are strongly for Obama right now.

Larry if his BC says soetaro, that would mean he acquired that Hawaii certificate years after he was born–after his mother married Soetaro and soetaro adopted him. After the fact. Then are you saying that he really wasn’t born in Hawaii? Or is this because of the name change/adoption? When people are adopted do they get a new birth certificate? I know when people marry, their last name changes but their original birth certificate doesn’t. So this is all odd to me. Why would somebody get another birth certificate that negates the orginal birth status. Vital statistics don’t change like that. Ok, I’m rambling but this is odd for sure.

Someone said before that the Kenyan constitution made any child of a Kenyan citizen also a citizen.
According to Kenyan law, Barry would have lost his citizenship at age 21 if he didn’t do something affirmative for it.
Because Obama sr was British subject, then Kenyan, he could have been conferred citizenship by birth there too–hence dual citizenship at birth. I have heard the republicans have a Kenyan BC…which would raise questions about his place of birth.
The original sealed Hawaii BC is under the name of BHO; that’s going to indicate a lot of things, like where he was born, hospital, etc.

Usually, they seal the old birth certificate, at least that is what my adopted friend has told me. It still exists in the files, only no one is allowed to have it. Go figure!
The certificate with the original parents’ names gets hidden away, and a new one is issued with the names of the brand new parent or parents.
Obama, to be Obama again, had to go get a name change–unless there’s some way to “undo” an adoption…and that’s news to me (not that I am an expert on the subject, mind you).
I used to issue birth certs in upstate NY and we if the child is adopted, we would “seal” the original….gluing the new one over the old. But no matter what the original should be in the city, town, Provence the child was born. So if he was not born in Hawaii there should not be one on record there.

Well anybody can change their last name. It’s not all that hard. That wouldn’t mean another BC is issued. There is a legal paper that provides proof of original last name and the new last name.
Also, as for adoptions, it would depend on the State. Some states are Open Adoption states (i.e. Kansas) so the records are always there.
As for name changes, that should always be in public records.

On another blog that was explained: Because of the way that the law was written at the time, BO would be a citizen if his mother was single at the time of his birth. Not so if she was married to a Kenyan and only 18 yrs. old at the time.
It was also explained that BO’s mother worked for the the consultate in Indonesia and that she could have filed citizenship papers for BO as having been born out of the country to an American citizen, like she did for Maya.(I may be forgetting exactly how this came down but this is something of the gist of the argument.)
In Australian an adopted Child can apply to the court to have the adoption cancelled on various grounds, ie to inherit the estate of the birth parents, incompatibility with the adoptive parents, reconcilliation with the birth parents etc.
The situation is confusing. Only an order of probate court can change a birth certificate: adoption, name change, sex change etc.. the original on file doesn’t change. But the abstracts issued by the goverment will show only the latest court ordered changes. There is a theory that Obama Sr. made that trip to Hawaii when Barky returned from Indonesia to claim paternity, undo the adoption, whatever. To make things even more confusing is Hawaii’s very lax policy regarding late registrations of births. I assume because home births with midwives were still common, or to allow native citizens giving birth on the mainland to register their children since recording ancestory to the Kingdom of Hawaii is very important culturally. You could see how someone could easily take advantage of the laxed system. Why Barky’s sister Maya has “two” birthdays is clearer since Texas Darling explained the late registration system.
Different states treat these matters differently.
Some states will reflect that later documents have been altered.
I was adopted at birth. Upon adoption my original birth certificate (which has different first name and has my birth mother’s last name) was sealed and a new certificate was issued with the first and last name my adoptive parents gave me. Neither my parents or I have ever seen or had access to the sealed birth certificate.I only know about that because I met my birth mom in my mid twenties.
When you adopt in America, the birth parent or previous parent has to relinquish or otherwise forfeit all parenting rights. I was adopted in 1967.
Back then unplanned pregnancies and adoption under any circumstance had a stigma. Most adopted parents in 1961 passed off their adopted children as their own. Many adoption agencies and homes for unwed mothers encouraged and helped both adoptive parents and birth moms to hide the pregnancy and adoption so they can get on with life after. Also there were strict disclosure laws in the 60’s about keeping a birth parent’s identity anonymous even if the child would later want to find them. Many birth parents remarry and have children but have never told their new family they gave a child up.
BO’s original birth certificate would have been rightly sealed at birth even though the circumstances were different than mine.

I have a little problem with the Republican timing. (Besides that it is bad for Hillary’s chances.) If the sky starts to fall on Obama, after he is the nominee, it will ruin the Democratic Party. If Hillary has a chance to step in, some face can be saved.
For a Republican, it doesn’t sound too bad. For the country however is very bad. The Democratic party has to be reformed, not eliminated. It is a very bad idea to have a one party system, even if in name only there is an other party. Trust me, it can not bring any good.
As a proud ex democrat I must say that the only way to reform it is to destroy it.
If its possible to remove the head of this monster and put an honorable one in its stead, I’d want the party saved. That being said, the disease may have spread too far for surgery to correct and the party might need to be radically pruned.
One can only hope that calm, even minded heads prevail after the fur hits the fan or there will be too much resentment going around to get anything done.

But he has totally wrecked the federal budget, done virtually nothing to wean us off of foreign oil, catered to the far right wing of his party on nearly every occasion, and has one of the lowest approval ratings of any president in history.

The answer is that you’ll win when you finally figure out that nomiating moderate southererners is a winning strategy (Truman, LBJ, Carter, Clinton) whereas nominating northern liberals (Stevenson, Humphrey, McGovern, Mondale, Dukakis, Kerry, and now Obama) is not. The only outliers here are JFK (won as a northerner, though by today’s standards he certainly wouldn’t be considered a liberal) and Al Gore (southerner who lost while running as a moderate although, as time has subsequently shown, was actually quite liberal).

I’ve been thinking, not always a good thing to do on less than a pot of coffee, but here goes. Maybe a DEM drenching in Nov because of Obama is what the party needs to get back to its roots. I firmly believe that when John Kerry, or Howard Dean hand picked Obama to be the 2004 conv. keynote speaker they were priming him for the future POTUS, they just didn’t think it would be 2008 (cuz they thought Kerry would win). The selection began in 2004. I grant that HRC’s campaign got off to a very bad start and was mismanaged by Penn and Doyle, but the popular vote and the delegate count was close enough to require a convention vote. By Pelosi and Dean pushing/arm twisting the SDs to come out in favor of Obama to ensure that THEIR candidate was the nominee was the height of arrogance not to mention studidity. They need a drubbing in Nov as much as the RNC needed one in 2006 in order to get it that the electorate is mad as hell and doesn’t want to take it anymore. I hope that (barring them coming to their senses) McCain wins. I do not want to see another four years of mismanagment of this country and that is what we will get with Obama and a Dem congress. We need balance, not a one party system that rapes the public because they hold both the WH and the congress. HRC is a Dem but at least she GETS IT and no one would run rough-shod over her.

I do believe that the release of her campaign memos are meant to belittle her, to lessen the chance that she will be vp or somehow get the nomination. While I generally agree with you, I have to disagree with you on this one point. There is a powerful group of folks pulling the strings this cycle at the DNC–and they have masterminded several strategies.
Think Michigan. The Dems in leadership managed to take Michigan out of the nominating process and are seen as merely bungling because they moved up the primaries(and I would explain further if you like). The actions of the Dems in power (and the Dem Governor) effectively silenced the voices of the Hillary supporters here.
The same Michigan Dems are behing a secret initiative to control all three branches of government for decades to come. They formed a petition signed by 1/2 million people to have the bill to ‘reduce government’ on the ballot this year. The bill/petition was so craftily worded, I signed it myself (so you can imagine how the votes would go once on the ballot).
A document was recently uncovered on the UAW website that exposed the DNC’s plan for Michigan control and why. (The power point is available on some of the local newspapers in Michigan and you may find it very interesting.) The bill would eliminate some of the conservative justices who were appointed some years ago by a Republican governor–the MI Supreme court is not beholden to the left and apparently that balance is a problem for the far left. (Just look at how the Michigan Dems have been beholden to the presiding, indicted, Dem. Mayor of Detroit. If you think Chicago-style politics are dirty, you haven’t seen anything yet.)
I’m trying to be brief here but you really should take another look at the current DNC in power–it is very organized, strategic and crafty. It just happens to be the far left of the wing running the show and the unwitting middle of the party is completely unaware.
I’d like to add to your most excellent post that you could not go anywhere people gathered (i.e. store, festival, sometimes stopped at traffic lights) without having someone shove that damned petition in your face in an attempt to get you to sign it!!!
You make it sound like doing thorough opposition resaerch is a bad thing. Just because the Republicans know how to do it and the Democrats don’t doesn’t make it morally suspect, as the term “Republican operatives” seems to imply. Hell, the Democrats don’t even know how to properly vet their own candidates!
Actually, about half or more of us here are democrats. THIS is how bipartisianship whould work! We’re getting things done!
We need a new party. Let the far, far left elitists have the Democratic party, let the far, far right have the Republican party and the rest of us can just meet in the middle and call ourselves America’s Party or something.

Your Indonesian angle is the right stuff, I think. The legal position vis a vis Indonesia’s citizenship rules is the clincher. For Barry to have stayed there during the time he was there, he had to be a Citizen of Indonesia and a Muslim by Indonesian adoption law. This is where the hook really lies. Indonesia would have required that Barry’s U.S. Citizenship be revoked in order to give citizenship to Barry as the adopted Soetero son.
The documents previously shown here on NQ indicate this. Research was awesome on this.

I have one more paranoid theory niggling at my mind. The papers that said his mother was a light-skinned Kenyan(I think it was Kenyan) added to the fact that Stanley Ann supposedly went to Kenya and then returned within a short period of time in her ninth month of pregnancy has me wondering. I believe it would have been impossible for her to get any airline to let her fly at that stage of pregnancy. So, what if she was not pregnant at all? What if her new found love needed her to bring a child back to this country from Kenya? What if she went and picked up the baby, then flew back to Washington, stopping by to visit her friend. Her friend said she didn’t know how to change a diaper. Then she stayed in Seattle for a while taking classes at the college before going back to Hawaii.
That’s as far as I have gone with it and it won’t matter since the Indonesia part of it will disqualify him. This whole thing just has more questions than answers. LOL I just can’t quit guessing, I will be glad when the Reps give us all the answers.

You know everybody, there should be about 18 million lawsuits lodged against the DNC with Dean, Pelosi, Brazille, Reid and all the other people that fixed this election. I know that during the primaries, my husband and I gave small amounts of money to Hillary’s campaign and since then my husband lost one of the two jobs he had. Those small amounts added up. We could use that money now. We are struggling as I know alot of Hillary’s supporters are. Some of the people who donated to her were jobless and suffering from cancer and yet donated to what they felt was a fair fight. If sue banks, tobacoo industries, insurance industries, etc., why not collectively sue the damn crooked DNC and it’s fraudulent cronies. Oh and BTW don’t forget the ONE and puppetmaster Assholerod.

Does that mean the VP nominee becomes the nominee for president with a new VP chosen? Would they have a new convention? Can you imagine the DNC choosing someone other than the person who has received more popular votes than any primary candidate in history? The Republicans would win in a landslide. The problem becomes the filing deadline to get on the ballot in the 50 states. Filing deadlines in some states for candidates for POTUS and VP from major parties nominating at convention is, 24 hours after the convention.

Each state has a different time frame but some require filing for the ballot, 24 hours after nomination. And some have challenge limits up to 3 days after ballot nominations papers are filed. So, you have to look up the law in each state you want to launch the challenge.

I totally understand this, especially if he agreed to help her

I too gave what I could afford and feel as if the DNC had planned all along to railroad the sham and give him the “uncommitted” votes and allow him to get away with voter fraud by groups such as ACORN and Moveon. Just today, courtesy of the Rocky Mountain News, we confirmed that Barack aka Barry Soetoro Obama was a citizen of Kenya since 1963. Barack has yet to stipulate when he renounced or relinquished that citizenship.
Because he himself never did renounce it or relinquish it. He didn’t have to.
This all traces back to a Political Gateway article by Andy Martin way back in February of 2007 (yes, that’s February 2007, not 2008).
It begins with the following breathless announcement:

He goes on to say:

If this so-called “journalist” hadn’t been so lazy and actually done the work of any decent journalist, he would have bothered to read the rest of the Kenyan Constitution.
If he had, he would have found this (from Chapter VI, Section 97, Clause 1 concerning dual citizenship):
A person who, upon the attainment of the age of twenty-one years, is a citizen of Kenya and also a citizen of some country other than Kenya shall, subject to subsection (7), cease to be a citizen of Kenya upon the specified date unless he has renounced his citizenship of that other country, taken the oath of allegiance and, in the case of a person who was born outside Kenya. made and registered such declaration of his intentions concerning residence as may be prescribed by or under an Act of Parliament.
In other words, Obama didn’t have to renounce anything!
Unless he’d renounced his US citizenship, taken an oath of allegiance to Kenya, and further taken up residence in Kenya, whatever Kenya citizenship he may have had ceased to exist automatically when he turned 21.
That will be a distracting issue in the upcoming campaign. Americans don’t want to elect a Kenyan as President. It is that simple.
Then perhaps the Obama campaign can hire TexasDarlin’s own Judah Benjamin to help them dispel that myth:

You’re born in the United States. And by every letter and intent of Article II, there’s absolutely no reason or question that you would not someday qualify to hold the office of President of the United States.
In every sense you can say that this is your birthright.
Everything’s just fine until you’re two years old. At that point in time, some third-world shithole gains its independence after having been a British colony. And they draft a constitution that says you are now a citizen of that country simply because your father was a citizen of that country.
And just like that you have dual citizenship, and as others would argue, this should disqualify you or anyone else from holding the office of President of the United States.
Think about that. Some other country has just taken away your birthright.
So instead of asking whether having held dual citizenship in a situation like this should disqualify one from holding the office of President, ask yourself if some other country should be able to rob you of your birthright.
Forget about Obama. If this is to disqualify Obama, it would also have to disqualify anyone else. Maybe even someone you’d actually want to see be elected President.

What you think or feel about his eligibility is unimportant. The issue needs to be decided by independent Constitutional Law scholars. How do you “se” he didn’t renew his Kenyan citizenship by applying for a Kenyan passport? Or that any direct action was taken by Kenya to remove his citizenship? No one is trying to steal his birth right, but decisions made by his parents could have done so leaving him no option as an adult. There are other questions also, re. any legal name change. He was adopted so, according to Hawaii State Law, his original birth certificate was sealed and that isn’t due to any decision he made either, but it doesn’t change the fact that he would have had to have his name legally changed back to Obama. He just needs to answer some questions. Did he ever travel on a Kenyan or Indonesian passport after the age of twenty one and did he have his name legally changed. Then Con. Law experts can make a decision, unless you are an expert. But given your bias, that might not be enough for everyone and could cost him the election is there were lingering doubts. If he doesn’t come clean, he is toast. If the Republicans have this information, they will certainly use it and it won’t matter how many times you (or he) says distraction, silliness or DC politics.

Doesn’t work that way. If you have two parents, both U. S. citizens, there is no question of citizenship, not native born, problem. You have one parent (mother or father) born in a foreign country who claims you as a citizen of their country and one parent born in the U. S. and the U.S. claims you as a citizen; ergo dual citizenship.
When American women marry foreigners and move to their husband’s country, their rights as a U. S. citizen are not always recognized since women are second class citizens and subject to their husband’s control. And if you think that isn’t true, I suggest you do a search for the number of women who have lost custody of their children in foreign countries. There is even a movie “Not Without My Daughter” based on the true story of a U.S. citizen’s escape with her dual citizenship daughter.
And no one robbed Obama of his “birthright” unless it was his mother when she married a Kenyan. His father’s nationality is equal to his mother’s nationality where citizenship is concerned. Your statement sounds like you think other countries can not determine citizenship based on their own laws regarding their own citizens. I Don’t think so. Here are the Constitutional criteria under Article II section 1:
“No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.”

You are right. I just researched it - no mention of dual citizenship. Apparently it is allowed as long as the person is a natural born citizen of the U.S.
That being said, I think a lot of people would not be comfortable voting for someone whose allegiance may be questionable. In Obama’s case, some people are already questioning his devotion to this country.
Has Article ll ever had to be defined in terms of eligibility? I’m not sure dual or multiple citizenship has ever been addressed or the intended definition of Natural Citizen as it relates to an American president. There are only three questions ever raised as far as I was able to find:
1)Al Gore was born in the District of Columbia
2)Barry Goldwater was born in Arizona before it became a state.
3)John McCain born on a US Naval base in the Canal Zone.
There was never a court case involving any of those three, but surely, this is a little more complicated since none of the three ever held citizenship in another country or had a parent not at US Citizen. Did he have a Kenyan or Indonesian passport? The presidency is unique in it’s qualifications. There is no other office with that requirement. At the very least, it would be a serious challenge.
Even assuming BO at one time satisfied both requirements for POTUS, that is, both natural born and, a citizen; once he was adopted by an Indonesian national, he became a citizen of Indonesia. When it comes to determining status of a person who can be said to have dual nationality, U.S. law defers to the law of the foreign sovereign. Thus, whether BO, having been adopted by an Indonesian, can be said to be a U.S. citizen and thus eligible to become POTUS under the constitution, is determined, under U.S. law, whether such a result is allowed under the law of Indonesia. And, it isn’t; Indonesia does not recognize dual citizenship.

The real beauty of it is, there is something obviously not right about Obama so even if we are sure what it is, Obama and the DNC must be terrified. They will make a mistake.
Much as I deplore John Edwards - his situation isn’t in the same league as Barack (Barry Soetoro)Hussein Obama - totally different. Lincoln had a mistress and treated his wife abominably. Many of these politicions no matter Dem or Repub have lousy records when it comes to marital fidelity. They and their paramours get their comeuppance in the end.
However Barack etc is a whole different kettle of fish and the DNC for not vetting him to begin with should be prosecuted.
Frankly, it shouldn’t be up to one party to vet a candidate for the Presidency. It should be a legal matter in conjunction with the FEDS AND CIA that anybody in the running for an office that will give them all secrets in connection with the safety and well being of these United States of America be totally vetted in a firm and full way.
This man, Barack etc. has so many associates in his background, and currently, that are at odds with the security of this country - it is a disgrace that he has not been vetted properly and completely by now.
All responsible parties should be held to high account for not having a complete vetting of this and any man/woman running for POTUS before any General Election and in fact before primary voting is completed.
I believe it should be an offence and a prosecutable one for all concerned who have enabled an unvetted and suspect person to actually run for the highest position in America.

I agree. Didn’t anyone do a background check of Obama? I mean seriously. Were they all so carried away with their love of Obama that they couldn’t see or didn’t want to see?
Making history is fine. I understand that.
But when you support a candidate whose cousin committed genocide, what could you be thinking?
They overlooked the fact that both of Obama’s parents were not American citizens.
They overlooked the fact that Obama was legally adopted by an Indonesian national.
I think most Democrats want a Democratic President. That’s not the issue.
But I think what offended me the most that the rules were the rules when it came to giving Obama delegates. Up to that point I considered voting for him.
When you have people awarding delegates on how people would have voted had Obama kept his name on the ballot you’ve wandered into the twilight zone.
He took his name off the MI ballot. Hillary didn’t make him do that.
He kept his name on the FL ballot and still lost.
There’s no one driving this bus and I think it’s in the ditch.
