that's not true. Affirmative Action was never created for women, it was always intended for African Americans.
I don't want to argue over it or anything, but I need to make corrections when necessary.

Isn't Keynote and Headliner two differen't things?
He's the Keynote (like lil obambi was in 2002) but she's the Headliner. The Keynote speaker is always a young upstart in the party isn't it?
Hillary is listead as Headliner in the primetime spot. That's what I got from the link anyway.
I don't put it past obi-wan-soetoro to try to squeeze her out in whatever way possible though.

no, the cages aren't for those who are arrested, they are the "free speech zone", the place where protestors are allowed to protest in any way like holding signs, chanting, wearing t-shirts, you know, all that disruptive stuff.
Those are for the arrested, they are for the citizens of the United States of America who wish to practice their NOT SO FREE speech!

just for the sake of argument, if that statement ("affirmative action candidate") were 100% true would it still be "racist?" i mean, seriously, you don't think that people are going to notice that the LEAST QUALIFIED candidate out of the entire democratic field ends up getting the nomination, and he just happens to be black? sorry, but that's a reality you're going to have hard time covering up.

whatever; hill got as many or more votes as obama did and she won the states that will actually vote democrat in november. sorry, but obama's wins in WY, UT, and Idaho really don't amount to a hill of beans. too bad the super delagtes allowed money and infatuation to cloud their judgement.

The bots finally found out that Corsi's book is #1 on the Best Seller list and they are having fits trying to cope and plant disinformation. Larry King had Corsi on last night and it's a wonder the man got a word out for all the shouting over him and misrepresentation of what he wrote in the book and the significance thereof. They were trying to brand him over his book about Kerry. Well, it was pretty effective wasn't it? And now we know what a loser we'd have had in the WH if he had won.

Then on Fox, horrible little toe man, Dick Morris on Hannity both saying how Hillary being nominated and getting a role call shows how weak Obama is. Imagine that...a candidate being allowed to participate in the standard process...now being played by some of the commentators as if it was in the works all along.

What a sham. If they think people will fall for this fake show and the result will be "Unity" they really out of touch with reality. It will have to play out through the final act but I see no other way but McCain. I will delight in Soetoro losing the election and the total humiliation of Dean/Pelosi and Brazzile.

"Are these women on TV unqualified because many got in through Affirmative Action, especially in the 1970s and 80s?"

Short answer, YES. SOME of the women in television news are qualified, as are SOME of the men. More so in the 70's and 80's than now. Sadly most of the reporters now in TV news went into the field in the hopes that they will make a financial or social killing by meeting and marrying someone rich ala Andrea Mitchell or Julie Chen.

I worked in TV news in a major west coast market for 4 years. Most of the reporter/anchors (MEN as well as women) are simply news READERS, they are NOT journalists. They don't go out and investigate anything. They don't write anything. Most of their stories are taken directly from Reuters or the AP with a little editing here and there to suit their style. Nothing is edited for accuracy or fact checked.

As for reporting, they simply show up at a scene and get reaction. "Reporters" spend more time on their hair and make-up than they do on a story. Of the group of male and female divas I worked with only ONE of them actually "worked" a story and bothered to check facts or do any background research - and she was the health reporter!!!

I will never forget the night our female anchor was getting ready to go on air. She used an eyelash curler and in the process pulled out some lashes. It was 5 minutes before air time and she REFUSED to go on. She actually left the building to go to Nordstrom and have false eyelashes professionally applied so she could go on at 11.

Believe anything you see and hear on TV news at your own risk.

You want to see Obama desperation, check out Amazon's reviews on Jerome Corsi's "The Obama Nation". Obama fans are posting reviews in droves, all one stars to bring down the ratings, but it's clear that none of them have read the book, #1 on the New York Times Bestseller List, and "2 in sales of all books presently selling on Amazon.

And to make your day, Pelosi's book is #3,266 in sales for all books selling on Amazon. Breaks my heart.
