Eligibility Challenge, State-by-State: Act II

In a previous post I suggested that there was an urgent need to make known and make use of the stunning information revealed by TexasDarlin and researchers regarding the potential ineligibility of Barack Obama to serve as President of the United States because of certain “technical” matters related to his legal name, birth certificate, and multiple citizenship.
These mere “technical” issues are those which may result in his removal from the ballot, but unless these are covered and widely reported, Senator Obama/Soetoro will never fully be vetted and a potentially fraudulent candidate will be nominated. At the same time that I support all efforts to get to the media, print and otherwise, I think it may also have strategic value to work at your state level too, in a way that by-passes the Obots.
This would be our last chance, before the convention, to convince the superdelegates that something is wrong with “The One”–something that is perilously wrong. So far they have been impervious to solid, factual arguments of policy, his use of the race card, his arrogance, shocking lack of knowledge, his flip flops, misogyny, and friends and associates. I’d like to send them a little shock and awe…
My thinking is that if we immediately initiate a few state-based efforts to challenge Obama-Soetoro’s technical qualifications–legal name, birth certificate, citizenship–that these efforts will begin to generate calls to the DNC and Obama campaign, and state-based research, that will call attention to weaknesses of Obama-Soetoro. And if we launch this effort in a few key states-say Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Indiana—and enough questions are raised, Senator Obama-Soetoro and the DNC are going to have to comply with this information or risk having his name removed from the ballot.
Already there have been efforts initiated to the Secretary of State (SOS) of New York, and suggested efforts to the Attorney General of the state of Hawaii. These letters form good “templates” for work in your state, and are posted at TexasDarlin.
In otherwords, Barack-Barry, it’s put up, or shut up and step down time. You know, fish or cut bait. Lead or be led right out of here. If you can prove it and explain who you are, fine. I still won’t vote for you. But its more than time for you to be forthright with the American people.
Below is a draft of a letter to a Secretary of State of your state that can be used as a template for a letter to your SOS, letters to the editor, letters to delgates, etc. This letter draws upon and references, as required, the work of TexasDarlin, and would include some of the articles at her site. Of course, no letter should be copied verbatim, to protect the original author and effort, but it does contain what could be used and a short summary of the findings to date.
All should modify this letter as a tool with the new information that is posted almost daily at Texasdarlin and here at NOQuarter. Already I see places this letter could be refined, as you will too. My hope was to put up an “action tool” for your working pleasure.
Depending on how comfortable you feel, you may or may not want your name publicised with this effort. It is our right as American citizens to have this information and to know who we are voting for. Good Luck!
Subject: Eligibility of Senator Barack Obama
Dear Secretary___________:
I am writing to express my concerns about, and request your assistance in certifying, whether Senator Barack Obama is eligible under Article II of the U.S. Constitution to be placed on the Presidential ballot in the State of ________. I understand that the Secretary of State’s office (SOS) relies primarily on the state and national republican and democratic parties to certify a nominee’s eligibility, although it retains the final authority on eligibility along with other SOS offices. Respectfully, it appears in the case of Senator Obama, a full verification of eligibility may not have been conducted.
I do not write this letter in frivolity and without basis, and set forth in the pages below and attached references the reasons why I am concerned. I believe that serious questions remain unanswered, and although I am a life-long registered democrat, my pleas for information from the campaign, and local and national headquarters of the Democratic Party have been met with deafening silence.
Respectfully, I seek your review of the following materials, and if you believe it to be significant, your assistance in verifying Senator Obama’s eligibility to be placed on the ballot in __________.
Background
Article II of the U.S. Constitution states , in part, that:
No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.
That “natural born” citizenship can be passed to children who are born abroad by one or more parents who are American citizens is not in doubt. The requirement to be a “Citizen of the United States” is interpreted to mean allegiance: as the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, the President must have only one allegiance, and that is to the United States.
It is my understanding that the singular purpose of Article II is to ensure that the President of the United States has absolute allegiance to the United States. Naturalized citizens are specifically excluded from serving as President by virtue of having had or having citizenship from another country, that is, divided loyalties. U.S. law says nothing about dual citizenship; only that some people have it. However, if naturalized citizens cannot be President because they have previously had another allegiance, then dual citizens by nature would not meet the test of Article II.
Statement of the Problem
Given this background, the major concern I and many others have is whether Senator Obama meets both criteria, as to “natural born” and “American citizenship”. To wit:
- Falsified Birth Certificate? In June, Senator Obama published an electronic image of his Hawaii Certification of Live Birth (COLB) on his campaign website next to the words “the truth about Barack’s birth certificate.” It is still there (see http://my.barackobama.com/page/invite/birthcert). Since that time, at least two independent forensics and documents experts have concluded that this image of a COLB, proffered by Sen. Obama as his true birth certificate, is a forgery (references attached). Furthermore, the image that Senator Obama proffered appears to be a forgery of his half-sister’s Hawaiian birth certificate, although she was actually born in Indonesia. I have attached reference documents containing the original reports.
a. As you know, the falsification of COLB-style forms is relatively simple because of technological advancements in digital and computer applications. However, the very existence of the computer-generated black block where the Certificate Number should be on the proffered form is suspect and, in accordance with the document’s own language about alterations, would invalidate the certificate. For this reason alone, investigation is warranted.
b. Researchers believe that Sen. Obama’s birth records in Hawaii may reveal a different legal name—“Barry Soetoro”– as a result of his adoption by an Indonesian citizen; that adoption would have resulted in Mr. Obama’s subsequent acquisition of Indonesian citizenship. I am concerned that Sen. Obama may be intentionally concealing these facts from the electorate.
- Dual and/or Multiple Citizenship? The Rocky Mountain News reported that Senator Obama had and may still have Kenyan citizenship. Other reports, which are attached, indicate that Senator Obama had at one time, and may still have, Indonesian citizenship resulting from his adoption by an Indonesian citizen in 1965. As is required by Article II, the President must not have divided loyalties; he must have only one allegiance.
- Use of the 14th Amendment to Claim Eligibility instead of Article II? Senator Obama’s official campaign website states that the Senator “is a U.S. citizen under the 14th Amendment”. Section I of this amendment states: All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside. Why was there a need to mention the 14th Amendment instead of Article II as an eligibility criterion? Is Senator Obama a naturalized citizen?
Notwithstanding the fact that Congress cannot change the Constitution, Senator Claire McCatskill, along with Senators Obama and Leahy, sponsored a successful, but unnecessary resolution “certifying” John McCain’s eligibility to serve as President that contained these clauses:
Whereas previous presidential candidates were born outside of the United States of America and were understood to be eligible to be President ; and
Whereas John Sidney McCain, III, was born to American citizens on an American military base in the Panama Canal Zone in 1936: Now, therefore, be it
Resolved, that John Sidney McCain, III, is a ‘‘natural born Citizen’’ under Article II, Section 1, of the Constitution of the United States.
Frankly, this resolution, and the use of the 14th Amendment on Senator Obama’s website does not sit well with me; and the disturbing “coincidence” of this information with the forged birth certificate and potential multiple citizenships—without any explanation from Senator Obama or the Democratic National Committee–is what motivated me to write to you.
Summary
As a voting American, I am not satisfied that I have enough information on Senator Obama to measure whether he is eligible for the Presidency. I worry for our Country should a candidate who does not meet the Article II criteria win the Presidency. Senator Obama must at the very least provide adequate documentation of his background to have his named placed on Wyoming’s Presidential ballot.
Mr. Secretary, I am prepared to accept that my concerns are unfounded if Senator Obama or the Democratic Party can provide these assurances to the voting public, or if your research can prove conclusively that he meets the eligibility criteria. Unfortunately, ordinary citizens like me cannot take on the burden of certifying presidential candidates, and in the presence of compelling information to suggest he may be ineligible for the office he seeks I urge your consideration of the attached materials.
I must emphasize that this request is not racially or religiously motivated, nor is it out of some partisan desire to have another candidate nominated. My concern is that of an American who loves her Country and believes in the rule of law.
Because of the hostility I have already experienced, and the threats to my safety and career that I may incur by openly challenging Senator Obama’s eligibility for the Office of the President, I respectfully request that my name be withheld from the public, democratic or republican party officials, or other public officials in any discussion of this issue. I can be reached by you or your staff at ____________________.

These letter might work with Republican secretaries of state, but not Democrats. Also, given that the Republicans worked hard to make sure Obama was the nominee, I don’t see the Republicans going against their best interest. I can’t figure out either party this year. I never thought the Republicans would nominate McCain. Many Republicans were angry and said they would vote for Obama because they did not like McCain and Obama would drop the ball if elected which would allow the Republicans to rebuild their party. I think many of the Republicans are having second thoughts since nobody really knew anything about Obama and what we have found out is frightening. I now think Republicans would prefer Clinton over Obama since Obama is a lunatic.
I support this proposed effort here. There needs to be a full court press to stop Obama. Everyone with ideas to damage Obama need to step forward and implement them with support from as many others as possible. I believe Obama needs to be defeated and the DNC changed. I am an Independent but have no desire to see either party become a ceespool like the Democratic party is becoming. An Obama defeat would put the Democratic party back in business and the DNC would get overhauled.

If Obama supporters admit these things about him, they have to admit they are the ones who are racist and sexists.
They are not going to do that so instead, when rational people ask reasonable questions about their candidate, the only thing they can say is: “You are a racist.”

Barack Obama sat in Wright’s church listening to him spew hatred. Rev. Wright has stated many times, and most clearly, that he is a believer and proponent of BLT. He goes so far as to chastise interviewers who ask him questions that (he implies) would not be necessary if the person had a grain of understanding of BLT.

Unfortunately, I trust them entirely to put her name in nomination. Because, the fix is in and she’ll get very few votes. Then they’ll be able to claim — with a lot more legitimacy than they could otherwise — that she “lost fair and square, now shut up and sit down PUMAs.” It will make us all look bad, but I still won’t be able to get behind Obama.
This strikes me as one deep philosophical difference that divides the PUMA movement. Many of us just wanted Hillary to get the respect she deserved and will/may be ready to support the party once that is achieved. Dr. Kate, I sent two emails today. The first was to the President of the IL. State Bar Association and the second to Hillary. In the first letter, I asked for a contact in the Ethics Committee and ask them about documents showing Obama may have used a different name at sometime in his life and how he answered the question in his application to the Bar.
I wanted to write Hillary to tell her what I was doing and as an individual, not as the member of any group. I am sure I have read everything posted here about the questions you raised and some several times. I was skeptical in the beginning and there are still some things I would like to see independent experts take a look at, but I am convinced there is something wrong. If the two documents posted yesterday by TD are the real thing (the school registration and his Bar appl.), he should not only drop out of the race, but be disbarred and tried in court for his lie. When he put his signature at the bottom of the application, he had to swear the information was accurate and I believe it is a federal offense to give false statement. I don’t want to do this. Send emails everyday, look up addresses and trying to think of a way to gain the attention of one single individual willing to examine the evidence. It’s discouraging, but I won’t stop and hope others here will continue. The biggest con in history is about to be played on the American people and we all have a stake in the TRUTH. I am truly sorry if it hurts Hillary politically. But I believe she will survive and don’t think anything will hurt Bill Clinton’s legacy. It is history and he will be judged on what he accomplished between the years 1994-2000 and I think he will be considered the best only behind FDR. IMO it has been about Hillary all along. Her work on the Watergate legal counsel created enemies in the Republican Party. Do you know what I mean. She was, I believe, twenty eight years old then and already formidable. I can imagine the Republicans thought they were rid of her when Nixon resigned, but twenty years later, there she was again, this time moving into the White House and with an office in the West Wing no less. A few months later and her husband put her in charge of passing a universal health care plan. God, they have hated her for so many years, but she just ran for senate, was elected and there she was again. And she had the AUDACITY to believe she could be PRESIDENT. But, this time it is Democrats repeating the Repub lies. Pelosi, Dean, Brazil and Obama are so inferior to her. That’s the end of my rant, but I hope others don’t give up.

According to the latest Fox News survey, Obama is winning among women under 40 by 13 points, but McCain is winning among women aged 41-45 by four points. Among women 50 and over, McCain is three points ahead. Obama’s 48-35 lead among women under 40 is normal for a Democrat, but to trail among women in their 40s by 45-41 and by women over 50 by 38-35 is extraordinary. The problem is that older women don’t like Obama as much as younger women do. While 70 percent of women under 40 have a favorable opinion of the Democratic candidate, only 58 percent of women in their 40s feel the same way, and only 52 percent of those over 50 see him favorably. For a Democrat to be losing among women over 40 is without precedent in the past 20 years.

Sorry to say it, but the polling data are not encouraging. Recent polls have been trending McCain for the past weeks. Time is starting to run out – we’re less than 3 months away, and Obama’s lead in the polls has been diminishing. Now, we learn CO has polled McCain for the first time, and the projections have dipped below 270 for Obama.
Obama’s on vacation, and the stupid conversation is about Hillary’s nomination. Rachel Maddow nailed it – McCain went negative and made the conversation about Obama, and his team didn’t fight back effectively, so the whole conversation is still about Obama, and his numbers have been dropping steadily.
I don’t see anything that’s going to turn things around. Obama will get a small bump from the convention, which will be reversed by the Repuke convention.
There isn’t a VP who can really help Obama win in November. None of the choices are very exciting. Hillary’s not going to be the VP, even though she would probably be able to help him the most.
I’m pessimistic. I don’t think the campaign has gone well for us since June. The trip to Europe didn’t give us a big bump. Obama’s numbers are flat, and they are falling.
Somebody, give me something to be hopeful about…

You can’t say “only” 52% of of older women view him favorably; that means tht even in his *worst* bracket, more older women like him than dislike him.
I’m not at all sure how noting that in every age bracket, Obama has a 50%+ favorable rating is bad news. Yes, a four-point trail is objectively bad, but the day I’ll take a single Fox News poll over a ten-day tracking average from composite poll sources is… well, never, actually.
Obama holds a steady 4-point minimum national lead and electoral projections have put him at 300 +/- 20 EVs for weeks. A single poll doesn’t change that. I have full confidence we will be watching President Obama be sworn in.

Off Topic:FEC Rejects Democrats’ Claim Against McCain
McCain won a round against Democrats yesterday when the Federal Election Commission rejected their contention that he violated campaign finance laws during the Republican primary.

I already told you, in relation to the general election, the issue of BO’s eligibility for POTUS is not ripe until BO – assuming he is the nominee – files the papers to get on the general election ballot in each state, which happens after the convention. Some states require ballot submissions within 24 hours after the nominating convention; most allow more time. But challenges must be filed shortly – sometimes, within 3 days – after that. So, if you think BO will be nominated but, you do not think he is eligible for POTUS, you had better begin setting up your spread sheets now, with state general election ballot filing deadlines; challenge deadlines; and process for filing a challenge. Also, look up what is the burden of proof in each state. For example, in NC, the burden of proof is on the ‘candidate’ undergoing the challenge to prove he is eligible.

Did any one check out the Michigan election laws? I thought it strange at the time that Barry didn’t even have his name (which name?) on the ballot. He may choose not to spend any money/time campaigning there, but not to have your name on the ballot? Surely 10 votes is better than none. So, why not put it on the ballot? Perhaps Michigan required a certified copy of birth, which the Obots couldn’t produce, or didn’t want to while the primary was still in play…. any one from Michigan out there that knows the state requirements for having your name appear on a ballot?

I have recently acquired irrefutable information about Senator Barack Obama’s background that jeopardizes his eligibility to be on (your state’s) ballot in the General Election. I am writing editorials to alert the public to this situation. As more citizens of (state) become aware of this information, I am sure your office will endeavor to do everything possible to assure the public that you have corrected any deficiencies in his eligibility under Article II of the U.S. Constitution to be placed on the Presidential ballot in the State of Iowa.
I understand that the Secretary of State’s office relies primarily on the state and national Republican and Democratic parties to certify a nominee’s eligibility, although your office retains the final authority on eligibility along with other SOS offices. Unfortunately, it appears in the case of Senator Obama, the Democratic Party has not conducted a full verification of his eligibility.

Evidence now indicates that his actual valid BC on file in Hawaii says his legal name is Barry Soetoro. Republicans have this document http://tinyurl.com/63ph5e and they will likely use it after the convention to challenge his eligibility to be POTUS. His original BC, presumably in the name Barack Hussein Obama II, was sealed when his Indonesian stepfather, Lolo Soetoro, adopted him.
It appears he has presented a fake BC because he wants to conceal his Indonesian identity, Muslim background and avoid observing Article II of the U.S. Constitution, which prohibits dual-citizenship for POTUS.
Barry Soetoro started using the name “Obama” sometime in the 70’s but researchers have been unable to locate the public record showing that Barry Soetoro legally changed his name back to Barack Obama. He might have used his original BC (the one that was sealed when he was adopted) with the name “Obama” as an identity document over the years. However, no one has been able to determine that the name “Obama” is his official legal name. If he used “Obama” to sign his candidacy papers for President and it is not his legal name, it could pose a serious problem for his candidacy, and stand in violation of several election-related laws.
I have written Hawaii’s Lieutenant Governor James R. Aiona Jr: 808 586-0255 Fax: 808 586-0231 and emailed ltgov@hawaii.gov asking, “Is Barack Obama’s legal name Barack Obama, or Barry Soetoro?” I suggest that your office verify this information as soon as possible, and before the national convention. If you wait until after the convention, you can be sure the Republicans will challenge his name on every ballot in every state. Please, do your part to prevent such a horrific embarrassment to our county.

As for myself, I am concentrating on the application to the State Bar of IL and I believe it stand alone as something easily proven and sufficient to request an investigation from their ethics committee. I have, in fact, been in touch with someone there. Some voters in IL are also involved in questioning his legitimacy to be a member of the Bar. It doesn’t matter if he has not renewed his license to practice law there, which I understand is the case. The ultimate goal, for me, is to find a way to completely uncover all information before the convention and before the Republicans can destroy any chance of a Democratic victory in Nov. What I don’t understand are those in the Party who are unwilling to vett this candidate and a media never asking follow up questions in an effort to protect Obama. I’ve also compared the ‘Techdude’ samples from TexasDarlin/Atlas and the ones from the white supremacist site Stormfront with an increasing set of other blog authors/forum posters. This has reinforced my impression of the (shared) uniqueness of the pattern of punctuation in the Techdude samples. Research in authorship identification has suggested that patterns of punctuation can be particularly informative in determining the author of a text.
For the following set of nine punctuation marks

I extracted all instances from a compilation of the TexasDarlin/Atlas ‘Techdude’ posts (for a total of 1019 punctuation characters) and from a compilation of the Stormfront ‘Techdude’ posts (for a total of 1198 punctuation characters). For the two ‘Techdudes’ the relative frequency of each type of punctuation character was very similar. I likewise extracted all instances of these punctuation characters from a set of 40 other blog authors/forum posters (using large samples of text in each case to generate sample size of >1000 punctuation characters) . None of the other authors showed relative frequencies of punctuation characters that resembled the two Techdude samples (they each looked strikingly different from the Techdude samples).
I then used a Chi-squared test to determine whether different authors showed significant differentiation in use of punctuation characters (basically, a formal test of the hypothesis that two samples of text shared the same author versus were produced by different authors). The text from the two ‘Techdudes’ did not show significant differentiation from each other. But each of the ‘Techdude’ samples showed highly significant differentiation from all other authors I tested (p<0.01).
Likewise, the two Techdudes seemed to show similarities in word usage when I generated lists of words by frequency of use (and compared these to other authors). They also show similarities in mean word length (at the low end, and outside the range of the other authors I’ve examined). There are quite a few other shared characteristics – they both like to use emoticons (e.g. yellow smileyfaces), they both like to use words written all in caps for emphasis (e.g. “so THAT would explain”, “NON-standard printers”, “does anyone STILL think”, “come up with ONE single”), they both use ‘3rd party’ rather than the more common ‘third party’, etc.
Also, the Stormfront ‘Techdude’ seems to favor the use of subterfuge. The following is from one of the Stormfront posts:
Stormfront Techdude: ‘I think the best way to draw people to SF (as many do not even know what SF is) and not get banned is to pose as an extreme anti-racist. Act as if you’re offended by everything even remotely racially aware, and tell the person that “with your attitude you should be posting with the racists on stormfront.org’.
Also, while many of the posters at Stormfront don’t favor involvement in electoral politics (they want to go off by themselves and do their own little neo-nazi thing), Stormfront ‘Techdude’ favors involvement in U.S. electoral politics (e.g. to spread stories about Obama).

Granted levels of education can change punctuation in any given sentence, if two samples are written by two different people with the same level why would that be a significant finding? The rules of grammar are more or less static and ” all the other authors I tested” may I ask how large your sample size was and what mechanism was used to separate the text from the punctuation? In most documents of reasonable length, the punctuation differential using Chi-squared would be insignificant enough as to be meaningless.
I believe there is another statistician who posts here, Teakwoodkite, perhaps we might be able to have a third opinion? For me, this doesn’t pass the smell test. Manipulation of results is not uncommon unfortunately. Do you have a graph to back up your research?Teak, are you there?
1. Chi-squared tests are used heavily in Medicine, Biology, Ecology, Education research, as well as linguistic analysis (i.e. not just in Physics). If you want to verify this, just Google it. It’s appropriate whenever you have a categorical variable, as in this case. Another alternative would be an extended (multi-category) version of the Fisher’s Exact test.
2. Punctuation has been found to be an informative variable in authorship identification. That’s why I used it. If you want to look into Stylometry yourself, lots of papers are available for download by Googling. How useful a variable punctuation would be depends on the author, and how distinctive their punctuation pattern is. For example, someone who compulsively insists on using an exclamation point followed by a question mark after every single sentence would stand out as very distinctive. In this case, ‘Techdudes’ pattern of punctuation turns out to be quite unique.
3. Patterns of punctuation vary dramatically for different individuals with the same level of education. Again, you can Google the scientific literature on this if you want to verify.
4. You ask what sample size I used. I specified that in my post above. To generate this large a sample size for punctuation characters, I used all of the Texas Darlin and Atlas ‘Techdude’ posts (and a large set of the ‘Techdude’ comments on Stormfront). Comparable amounts of text were used for the other authors.
5. You asked how I separated punctuation from other text. I used specialized software (two types of software, to verify that the counts were correct). If you wish to replicate, it’s possible to even do this in Microsoft Word, using the ‘Find and Replace’ function (which will give you a count of the number of characters replaced).
6. The punctuation differential between Techdude and most other authors is pretty dramatic (I was surprised, since many other authors resembled each other to a greater degree). It’s obvious on simple visual inspection of a graph. I have no way of posting a graph here, but you can repeat the experiment yourself if you wish to verify what I’m saying (e.g. as I mentioned above, Microsoft Word can be used to get the punctuation counts, and you can generate graphs in Excel). However, make sure to use a large amount of text for each author (e.g. if you just grabbed two sentences, it wouldn’t give you an accurate representation).
7. Also, as mentioned above, there were many similarities besides the use of punctuation. These included word usage frequencies, the use of specific expressions, etc., etc. In the Stylometry literature, all of this information is sometimes referred to as a ‘writeprint’.
G, sorry I’ve been off for a few hours and I apologize for not taking sufficient note of your sample size. TexasDarlin and Techdude have been criticized roundly on this blog for using deductive reasoning (If the axiom is correct, then the conclusion is…) This is a tried and true method to test theory. I just want to point out you are using the same method. That’s an observation not criticism of your method. I was in a hurry and, as I said, hadn’t had time to look at each part of your “proof” separately. It is interesting you note the Techdude differential is greater than normally found when compared to other authors. Would you like to speculate on why that may be true? Is it level of education or an indication of influence of a second language? I am aware Chi-squared has application in other areas, however it is most commonly used in physical sciences. Linguistics may be similar in some ways to physical science, but the variables can’t necessarily be counted on to yield equal results for the reasons I mentioned. And may I include the possibility of a strong second language reflected in word use and sentence structure, but not necessarily punctuation. Your research is admirable, but I doubt it could be used to prove with certainty your conclusion. They use of “smiley faces” and capital letters are a common way to express emotion on the Internet and extrapolating those into proof of authorship is a stretch. Not that is matters, but I’m not buying what you are trying to sell based on similarity of puntuation. One other comment, aside from your research, why have you so painstakeingly tried to prove the blogs may be from the same person rather than in building a case against the content? You have introduced an element irrelevant to the discussions about Obama’s elegibility to distract attention from the main issue.

Sorry for not responding more quickly. I’ve been off doing other things for the last couple of days.
I’m not saying that the two ‘Techdudes’ are definitively one and the same. But large samples of text are available, and there is a disturbing level of congruence (across multiple types of linguistic variables – including punctuation, word use frequency, use of idioms, etc.). Far more than you’d expect by chance. More sophisticated approaches (e.g. use of Support Vector Machine or Bayes Net) could be used to make a more definitive determination.
I didn’t bother debunking the content of his arguments because others have done a thorough job of this elsewhere (including Neal Krawetz, Joseph Cannon, Koyaan, and others). One quick thing I will point out – KG commented that she used a different alignment (of the two overlaid birth certificates) than ‘Techdude’. This means that she would have been looking for distortions (corresponding to the ‘original name’ on the certificate) in a different place on the certificate than ‘Techdude’. Yet both she and Techdude came up with the same name (Maya’s) – on different locations in the certificate. KG announced Maya’s name in a comment, then ‘Techdude’ proclaimed that this matched his own discovery. The inconsistency should have set off warning bells (that this was a hoax on the part of ‘Techdude’) for anyone thinking critically. Just as Techdude’s July 8 ‘bunny boiled’ and July 20 ‘mutilated rabbit’ comments (noted above) should have been recognized.
On a larger note.
1. I cannot (and will not) tolerate exploitation of the movement against Obama by white supremacists (for their own ends). To do otherwise would be wrong (and tactically dumb as well).
2. I think that what ‘Techdude’ was doing (and certain aspects of the ‘Cult of the COLB’) has the potential to send the PUMA movement off the rails. It damages the credibility of Obama’s opponents (making us look like a bunch of dishonest loonies), diverts our efforts, and has already caused serious fractures in the PUMA movement. There are better ways to go about this. At the risk of ‘outing’ my own identity – I precipitated a front page story (by raising questions about Obama misrepresenting his life story) in the Sunday edition of a major national newspaper (three Pinnochios for Obama, with subsequent coverage by FOX and MSNBC). It seems that I helped bring about a major CNN story as well. So it’s possible to do. But I cannot and will not countenance dishonesty (or hatred – which I see too much of in the comments at No Quarter). If the Democratic forces opposed to Obama descend to this, we’re no better than the Kos crowd (e.g. with their ‘darkened skin’ smear of Hillary).

At any rate, Techdude’s assertations were ridiculous on their face even aside from all of the technical banter – he claimed that the underlying name on the COLB was Maya Soetoro – which simply wouldn’t be the case. Maya was born in Indonesia and wouldn’t have a Hawaiian COLB in the first place, and so the idea that *her* Hawaiian COLB was a template to “forge” an Obama COLB necessarily implies that the Obama team *first* crafted a completely unnecessary fake COLB for Maya, for the purposes of then compounding the forgery to create a fake COLB for Obama.
If the team had the ability to forge Maya’s from scratch, why wouldn’t they forge Obama’s from scratch?
And that simply objetion is even leaving aside the fact that actual forensic examiners who publish under their own names with a fully transparent list of credentials have conclusively debunked all the technical aspects of the forgery investigation, as well.

Was easy for Obama to get a passport BACK INTO India (in 1981 for spring break) seeing as hoe (typo) he was already a citizen of that country. From India he visited Pakistan, still early on in 1981 SPRING break, at which time Arabic youths from all around the world were answering the call to Jihad against the Russian invaders in Afghanistan. I don’t think that the Obama camp wants to resolve this issue, especially if they do have legitimate and non-damaging documents and complete paper trails in their possession. There is no incentive whatsoever for them to resolve this issue at this time, as it is the perfect smoke screen, keeping the attention off of other faults and shortcomings. They laugh at the time we are spending arguing about this and engaging their trolls. While these birth record/eligibility issues should not be ignored, they should be worked on by experts behind closed doors, with results issued and published if/only when they are air-tight and irrefutable. All of this opinionated speculation by both sides is getting us nowhere. I would love to see Obama exposed for the fraud he is before the court of public opinion on these eligibility issues, but we just don’t seem to have the solid case yet, and the technical “experts” we have seen advancing our cause, are not holding up very well to scrutiny. We do, however, have solid proof of other Obama lies and fraud, and there are more than enough issues and instances of thses types of falsehoods to keep any sane person awake at night worrying about the safety and sanity of our nation if Obama gets elected to POTUS.

Thank God we are not giving up, after watching another show last night it sounded as if everyone was giving up and just blindly going to vote for McCain. While I have nothing against McCain and will vote for him if I have to, Hillaryis who we need NOW, no one else!

Unless pressured legally, a group with lawyers and face-to-face with the Attorney General of each state with these documents in hand, all the effort everyone is giving will be for nothing.
I’ve been waiting for months. Now two weeks before the Denver convention, we are seeing documents. If Obama comes up with an original BC from Hawaii with Barack Obama as his given name, any other info will be swept under the rug.
If he wasn’t African-American, he would have already been pressured to drop out a very, long time ago. So, the MSM, Democratic Party, Republican Party and anyone else that has had a hand in it have allowed Obama to get this far due to his race. And he has gotten the royal treatment, but he still isn’t happy and he pulls out his race card.
Get a qualified African-American as a candidate and watch how far he/she will get without all the BS. People will be listening to the candidate and his/her issues rather than a rockstar/american idol mentality.
Sharpton was on the last presidential ballot. I can’t imagine anyone taking this man seriously as a viable candidate.
So, why hasn’t the African-American community with their leaders started a more aggressive attempt to poll for candidates that qualify not just by formal but also by informal credentials….more experience, comunity service, an individual known for his/her honesty and integrity, etc.
I don’t know the answer above because when they actually had Sharpton on the ballot, African-American leaders gave away their own credibility to discern who they need as a presidential leader.

your state contact told you wrong. It IS a state matter if you are looking to challenge Obama’s name being put onto the ballot in each state. This is why I drafted the letter and made it specific.
There are other actions you can take, like writing a LTE based on this document to highlight problems…there are some shortened versions as well. Or send the letter to SOS, and if they don’t respond, tell them you will release it to the press.
This has to get out now as many people are “locking down” for Obama. I do think they intend to steal the election.

And to the white members on this board I don’t want you to be uncomfortable but it’s a fact, Blacks are not normally seen “equally as whites” by other whites but then ugly people are treated worst than pretty people, so life just sucks like that. how ever we have had a lot more options that my parents and grandparents had, and to see obama squander that, and to see him willing to throw away freedom of speech with his FISA votes, intimidation tactics, and Makeshift concentration camps, when people like of my parents era were beaten, attacked by dogs, beaten, jailed and some times killed to give blacks the right to have a voice and equality. So I don’t take it lightly when you have people trying to take that voice away. And to see Barak and intelligent person lie and manipulate his way to the top knowing he was not prepared, eats me. It’s like he has no appreciation that my mother had to take a trek into downtown Jim Crow Columbia to get to school when there was a high school up the street but it was for whites. Or the fact she couldn’t play in a park right by her house because it was a “white park” Or that she was born at home because my grandmother couldn’t go to the “white” hospital. And even if my dad loves him cause it’s something symbolic for him i see Obama as Simple Simon who wants a piece of pie and has no money to pay for it. Then calls the pieman racist. I feel you. How do you think I feel to see this man race-bait his way to the position he is in. I am a black, female Hillary supporter. I retired early and was able to closely watch the primaries. The Clinton haters (dems and repubs), far left liberals, and far right repubs did a hatchet job on Hillary. The repubs crossed over in large numbers to deny her the numbers she needed for an outright victory. But most of all it was Obama and his campaign’s false racial charges against the Clintons that hurt her the most. I personally marched with Dr. King as a college student in Jackson, MS. I can also remember Sammy Davis Jr., Burt Lancaster, and Peter Lawford helping to raise money and support at a small private black college called Tougaloo outside Jackson, MS as if it were yesterday. By his actions Obama has dishonored Dr. King, me, and others (white and black) who struggled and fought against racist policies. I despise and detest him for that and I WILL NEVER, VOTE FOR HIM, EVER!!
