“Half of House Democrats May Vote for Hillary…”
By Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy on August 16, 2008 at 8:35 PM in Bamboozling, Barack Obama, DNC, Delegates, Democratic National Convention, Democratic Nomination, Hillary Clinton, Superdelegates
I was at Memeorandum.com, and came across the following story. Prior to that, I had been at Dr. Lynette Long’s Caucus Fraud site, looking at how many representatives who had received money from Pelosi’s PAC voted AGAINST their consituents and their states when they endorsed Obama. Very interesting. Add to that Pelosi giving money to far more men than women, indicative of her, I think. Anyway, so I was reading all of these pieces following the money, and documented cases of caucus fraud when I stumbled upon this Politico piece. It makes for some interesting reading. I cannot resist interspersing some comments (in bold) – the comments by the Obama people are just too much…Anywho, here it is, and ROCK ON, Representative Loretta Sanchez – you are my hero today!!
Rep.: Half of House Dems may vote Hillary at DNC
By AMIE PARNES & BEN SMITH | 8/15/08 5:58 PM EST:
On Friday, the Obama campaign confirmed that the floor vote in Denver, intended to assuage Clinton supporters still stewing over her narrow loss, will be conducted as a state-by-state roll call. (Um, NO – we are not stewing over “her narrow loss,” we are stewing at loss of democratic process; voter theft, fraud, and intimidation; and caucus irregularities, to name just a few.)
Rep. Loretta Sanchez says she’s happy for the chance to vote for Hillary Rodham Clinton at the Democratic National Convention — and she predicts that as many as half of the Democrats in the House could join her. (WOOHOO!!!! About damn time y’all got yourselves some backbone!!! Not you, Rep. Sanchez – you have always been a stand-up woman!)
Just how many former Clinton supporters will vote for the former first lady during the symbolic first ballot is anybody’s guess, but each of them will be called upon to do so — whether they want to or not.
On Friday, the Obama campaign confirmed that the floor vote in Denver, intended to assuage Clinton supporters still stewing over her narrow loss, will be conducted as a state-by-state roll call. Under proposed convention bylaws, delegates would be forced to register their votes on a tally sheet with the convention secretary — the rules could be altered or suspended before the start of the convention.
“By putting her name in nomination, you’re putting people on the spot,” said former delegate counter Matt Seyfang, adding a second potential drawback: “Having a roll call … just chews into your broadcast time.” (Oh, dear, goddess – yes, that bothersome little democratic process is so TIME consuming! Don’t the little people know it is all about OBAMA?!?!?! We cannot be bothered with things like actual VOTES and a smidgen of transparency!! C’mon, already – sheesh!!)
Lower-key options were available. For example, Clinton’s name could have been entered into nomination, followed by laudatory speeches, ending with her release of delegates to Obama and proposal that he be nomination by acclamation, Seyfang said.
Obama spokesman Bill Burton said the “mechanics” of the roll call vote are still being worked out, but he conceded that Clinton probably will garner many votes on the first ballot. (”Mechanics”?? You mean, like how much they can strong-arm Clinton to just throw over her delegates to The One as quickly as possible without letting it LOOK like that is what they are doing?)
For Obama’s camp, the roll call is a ritual that will defuse any potential tension with Clinton or her supporters without affecting the outcome or the theater of Obama’s dramatic nomination. (Oh, I see – the whole roll call thing isn’t really a necessary part of the Democratic, or even Republican, Party electing its nominee, it is simply a “ritual”! Well, I have to tell you, I have learned something new today! All along, I thought the “ritual” of the roll call was to allow the respective delegates to vote for their candidate, thus representing the actual will of the people. Silly me!!! What a goof…)
Said Sanchez: “I believe there are a lot of supporters for Hillary among the superdelegates, especially now that they’ve agreed to place her name in nomination. I think half the House Democrats would probably be Hillary supporters, especially women. … I felt she was the most experienced and the best candidate and I still feel that way.” (Hell to the YES!!!)
Clinton herself has said she plans to vote for Obama. (Honestly, what else is she going to say? Poor thing – she is so between a rock and a hard place…)
A longtime Clinton adviser said it was “crazy” to guess at numbers but estimated that the former first lady would garner between 600 and 1,200 delegates — considerably short of the approximately 1,800 she had collected at the time of her departure from the race in early June.
“It’s a bizarre strategy,” said one Democratic strategist of the roll call. “It could backfire and show that her influence is waning. Chances are, she’s not going to have as many delegates vote for her on the floor as she had in the primary.”
Indeed, many Hillary diehards, including at least one member of the New York delegation, are reluctant to vote for Clinton after switching over to Obama.
“I think that most superdelegates, including myself, are going for Obama,” said New York Rep. Anthony Weiner, who campaigned with Clinton around the country. “I made my decision for Obama, and I’m not switching again.”
Other onetime Clinton backers are reluctant to reverse course for fear of angering their black constituents.
“My boss is totally conflicted about it — and pissed Hillary is putting us in this position,” said a congressional staffer for another New York House member. “We still haven’t made up our mind and I don’t know when we are going to.” (I’m sorry, s/he’s PISSED that HILLARY is putting him/her in this position?!?!? Golly gee willkers, pal – that democratic process thing just SUCKS for you, doesn’t it?? You are mad at HER for what, getting the majority of popular votes so that you might have to actually take a stand and piss some people off? Wowie zowie – you poor little things. But see, this was never supposed to be a SELECTION anyway, so for people to act like Obama should get it just so the AA community doesn’t get pissed off is just plain cowardice. And it’s insulting. To the AA community and the rest of us. This is NOT American Idol – really. It is about the highest job in all the land, and voting for the least competent candidate ever is a sacred duty. It is not one to be used to placate people who might get MAD at you if you vote the way the majority of people voted. Again, it’s called a SPINE – look into it, Congressional Staffer. Oh, and stop the blaming of HILLARY for being the candidate the PEOPLE want! That is assholic on oh-so-many-levels. Talk about blaming the victim – good grief.)
Another New York delegate, speaking on condition of anonymity, predicted that as much as 30 percent to 40 percent of the New York delegation would pick Clinton over Obama during the symbolic vote.
Obama’s decision to accept a roll call vote, which came after weeks of talks with the Clinton camp, doesn’t mean he’ll let the process get out of hand, observers say. (I’m sorry, does this say Obama is going to ACCEPT a roll call vote?!?!?! Oh, what a great guy! He is actually going to allow a DEMOCRATIC process that has existed for over a hundred years to take place?? How benevolent of him. Cough. Choke. Gimme a break already – this is the way Conventions are SUPPOSED to work. If a candidate with 1 delegate can be on a ballot, the only question is why they thought Clinton SHOULD NOT HAVE been in the first place!!!! THAT is the question, not how magnanimous Obama is being by following PROTOCOL!! What is WRONG with these people?!?!?!?)
“The convention is about nominating Barack, so his people want to speed through the vote as fast as possible so it won’t take too much TV time,” said a Democratic delegate who plans to vote for Clinton. “They also want to avoid a scenario where she’s leading at any point.” (Again, silly me. I thought the Convention was about nominating the candidate who is best for the country, the one for whom the majority of people voted. I did not realize before this year that the DNC has become synonymous with Barack Obama. I still cannot wrap my head around how this fledgling senator, with virtually no record, dangerous associates, and astonishing secrecy who will not even provide his REAL birth certificate, is the one the DNC hand-picked. It just boggles my mind. But this convention, this “show,” is all about OBAMA, not the Democratic National Party, or so it appears. What a tragedy that the DNC is morphing into the RNC. I never thought I’d see the day, and I sure wish I never had…)

Gee, what made you think this has anything to do with democracy. Obama is Deanenstein, Howard Dean’s handpicked 50 state revenge bus driver. That’s why so many people are being tossed under it. Democracy gets in the way, under the bus it goes too. Even though, when you think about it, it didn’t work for Dean for the same reason it won’t work for Obama. He’s a lousy candidate. Maybe if they threw their support behind somebody who is actually capable of doing the job, it might be a good plan. As it is, it’s just two testoterone-laden frat boys out for a joyride.
It’s ok…Dean just pissed off more people by calling the Republican party the “white” party. Oops. More subliminal effort to divide???
I just cannot see HRC allowing the DNC to have gotten so out of control. Well, she is not the selected one, so that says it all.
She can’t be bought PERIOD.
I think Dean forgot to look in the mirror this morning.
OMG, is Dean black?
Does that mean Obama is half Republican?
Damn cats and dogs will start dancing together next.
“Under proposed convention bylaws, delegates would be forced to register their votes on a tally sheet with the convention secretary — the rules could be altered or suspended before the start of the convention.”
That sounds like an Authoritarian State. I bet the usual rules is the respective heads of the state delegations tally their states’ votes.
But this give Obama an advantage. He will know before the vote if he is going to lose, then change the rules to avoid a vote.
“By putting her name in nomination, you’re putting people on the spot,” said former delegate counter Matt Seyfang, adding a second potential drawback: “Having a roll call … just chews into your broadcast time.”
Oh brother. What does he think most people watch, those speeches?
Certainly, the GOP has had a poor record of relations with the BLACK community since Nixon’s southern strategy, but apparently Doctor Dean is under the misapprehension that there are only two races in America.
Of course, coming from a WHITE state like Vermont, we can forgive him for not knowing about La Raza, or any other races or ethnicities who are citizens of our land.
Gee, all those “brown” folks and “yellow” folks and “red” folks are probably feeling a bit miffed, I’d say…really…aren’t they ALL PRECIOUS IN HIS SIGHT?
Well, with supporters like Sanchez (and presumably her sister), Clinton is riding high with the California Hispanic community. If Clinton keeps this up with the growing Hispanics the AA community will lose its Political power with the Dems. Sob.
I’m asking every Hillary supporter here to PLEASE NOT blame the entire Black community for the Democrats’ foolishness concerning Obama. There are African Americans – some on this board – that are NOT supporting Obama and will not vote for him in November. I’m concerned that the ones that are backing Hillary or McCain will get lumped in with the AAs that are supporting Obama because of statements like this:
“‘My boss is totally conflicted about it — and pissed Hillary is putting us in this position,’ said a congressional staffer for another New York House member.”
The truth is, those bastards in Congress don’t really give a damn about offending the Black community. I think that the AA community is being used as a scapegoat. Obviously, the DNC and many crooked Democrats in office have other hidden agendas and reasons for backing Obama that have NOTHING to do with sparing the feelings of African Americans.
These “democratic” lowlives in Congress hate the Clintons for forcing their spoiled, cowardly asses to make the right (or wrong) decision at the convention. Forcing them to take a stand for the best Democratic candidate – regardless of race, sex or bribes. And they don’t like it. And they’re looking for someone to blame for their lack of courage and character.
NI, we’re not racists here, no matter what the trolls say. Blaming a whole group of people for the actions of one incredibly moronic asshole is asinine.
I know you guys aren’t.
You’re just as pissed as I am about that crook Obama and the crooked DNC and Dems in Congress supporting this fraud and stealing the nomination from Hillary and underminding the voices of the majority of the Democratic party.
I’ve been here for a while now and I know that many scumbags in Obama’s camp keep trying to stir that “racist” pot – trying to cause division among the Hillary supporters. I’m sick of Obama already. He needs to take his ass somewhere and sit down. And take Dean, Pelosi and the rest of his suckers with him.
Seriously, did he really just say that? If so, that is an INCREDIBLY stupid thing to be saying at this point in time. About 80% of the voters still claiming to be undecided in national polls are middle-class and lower middle-class whites, and here we have the Chairman of the DNC making it sound like being white is some sort of character flaw?
But then again, we are talking about Howard Dean, right? So nothing is out of the realm of possibility.
“EEEEEYAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!”
info@demconvention.com
Please send an email asking them when and where Senator Clinton will be accepting the Nomination if the Super Delegates do their job and nominate the most qualified candidate that can actually beat McCain. The DNC website is only listing where BO will be accepting his.
Here’s my email:
To Whom it May Concern,
I see the website only lists where Senator Obama would accept the nomination should he become the nominee at the convention.
I would like to know where Senator Clinton plans to give her acceptance speech once she wins the democratic nomination at the convention. Could you please tell me?
I am very much looking forward to an open convention and true roll call vote to decide the democratic nominee in 2008. I have never experienced an election quite like this one where I have such complete trust and respect for one candidate, Hillary Rodham Clinton, and such deep distrust and disregard for the other candidate, Barack Obama or Barry Soetoro or whoever he pretends to be today through November.
Since I am certain my party would give me a nominee I can actually vote for and it will be Senator Hillary Clinton, could you please tell me where she will be giving her acceptance speech?
Very sincerely,
Susan D. Carpenter
Faithful Voter
P.S. I always get out to vote!
I really like this part, coo coos.
I think that most superdelegates, including myself, are going for Obama,” said New York Rep.
“We still haven’t made up our mind and I don’t know when we are going to.”
that’s obama’s version of ‘new politics’, chicago style.
I love the fact that the obamaboil above doesn’t know how to spell “cuckoo”.
Twit-twit!
Nothing screams “I’m a dumbass” like misspelling your insults and making them bold.
Or underage…
BOLD font, little……well you know.
I think he was trying to spell couscous , which is an arugula kind of thing for people who put grey poupon mustard on their tuna because they still remember being a big fat kid in Indonesia…and when you can’t smoke Newports anymore, you’re afraid of gaining weight, and, well…never mind.
Does Hillary still have you scared?
You should really be more worried about your man child candidate not stacking up to McCain this evening.
Can’t say you weren’t warned and the Republicans haven’t reach full attack mode yet.
Superdelegates are only sealing the fate of the Dem party if they do as you’ve copied and pasted.
After watching the Q & A this evening, I know I have a worthy alternative to voting for an unworthy democratic candidate. This will be my first time to vote for a Republican for president and I’ve voted for a lot of presidents in my life time. The DNC deserves a shock and awe this season then perhaps they’ll get back to their roots – one person, one vote – and do away with this Super Delegate auction along with the anti-democratic caucuses!
Your post has been rated:
Nine Point Two on the FEAR PUMA scale.
(One=Unworried; Ten=Scared Shitless)
LOL !!
I love your scale. Permission to plagiarize ?
LMAO, would love to see the rest of the scale!
More proof that this is an undemocratic selection rather than the Will of the People election.
To Rep. Weiner: Do you understand what would happen to you had you been an Obama Delegate, then switched to Hillary (because BO lost), only to find out later that BO would have a roll-call vote after all? What do you think would happen if you told the Obama Campaign you were not going to switch again! They would string you up somewhere plus no telling what else.
If you do not vote for Hillary on the first ballot after following her around campaigning (for yourself I guess)you should be exceedingly ashamed of your behavior and defeated in the next election. Hillary’s supporters expect you to vote for her as your district and state did, and as a fellow member of the NY Delegation. Period. The end.
Anthony used to date that beautiful woman who is Hillary’s assistant. She must’ve dumped him, otherwise he never would’ve said something so stupid in public.
The GOP will have a field day if Obama’s people pull a convention controlled fiasco like Obama is noted for doing.
The key speech of the entire convention will be that of Bill Clinton and if Hillary makes the political suicide mistake of endorsing Obama, she will have such a weight around her neck for 2012, she will not survive it.
Obama has already lost the POTUS, will he destroy all other Dems futures?
August 29th, be set for major 527 blitzes exposing the truth of the K-Tel candidate
K-Tel candidate wins the best comparison award for tonight!!
LOL
It will be interesting to see how he is going to keep Clinton from being ahead at any point, especially at the end. Is that when the gestapo is dispatched to the convention floor?
HRC willl be nominated at the convention. Barack Obama could barely answer questions at Rick Warren debate forum.
Just saw Gergen (CNN) and ALL the panelists in MSNBC say McCain hit a home run tonite…He connected, he was concise, he was decisive. Can anyone sy “presidential”?
gergen even said Obama had a lot to fear in those upcoming debates!
I watched about 5 minutes of Oblahblah and was stupefied. I watched ALL of McCain and came away impressed. Oblahblah was shifty; McCain was brief and to the point. Oblahblah is toast.
McCain didn’t hide from questions. Obama as always, tried to take both sides of every issue. While deliberation of both sides of an issue is necessary a leader needs to make decisions.
McCain was a pleasant surprise. He was humorous, and charming, heartfelt and had a command of facts. I never thought I’d see the day where I would welcome a Republican over a Democrat..but McCain seems an honest and honorable man.
I agree. McCain was awesome. Obama-dumb, dumb, dumb!
Did you hear how MEchelle and Granny are wise people he will rely on as POTUS! What a dick!
…I never thought I’d see the day where I would welcome a Republican over a Democrat..but McCain seems an honest and honorable man.”
DITTO!
Is Obama a democrat?
I have a question about the faith forum. I turned on local radio station about 1/2 hr. ago. KSFO in SF. The host was reviewing the questions/answers. He said that one question was “what is the most gut-wrenching decision you ever had to make?” The radio host said that Obama’s answer was when he voted AGAINST the war!! The unbelievable part is the host thought this was a great anwser. I waited to get the call-in # but he never gave it. I got on my computer;linked to the stations website, and emailed the host that Obama was not in the Senate to vote. As I was typing, a man called in and basically iterated what I was typing. I didn’t watch the forum, but if you did, was that Obama’s anwser?
Hillary or McCain
Yep, that was his answer.
And what did Warren say???
He smiled pleasantly and moved onto the next question. He really wasn’t arguing any points with either candidate. He did a pretty good job of letting them speak for themselves.
Wow… how can he lie so blatantly?? Is he
that ..sick?
It’s crazy…Has anyone in the MSM pick on that at all??
To give BO the benefit of the doubt, I don’t think he blantantly lied about his “vote” that he did not cast – it was ‘just a speech’ remember.
He simply cannot think fast on his feet, but mostly, this shows what we have all been trying to say for months – he is not ready for the NFL.
I heard it 2nd hand, but someone said McCain was asked different questions and not in the same order as BO. BO was not asked about FISA but Mac was.
Could you e-mail Larry and ask him to get this clip. I need to hear this whopper for myself.
Did you notice that Obama couldn’t hold eye contact?
It should be obvious by now why Obama has been ducking these upscripted debates with McCain. Obama looks great in the suit and he’s one of the best public orators I’ve seen since Reagan. But take away his teleprompter and put him in a situation where he has to answer unscripted questions and defend his positions, and he withers.
Is this the guy we want to have going to bat for us against the likes of Putin and Ahmedenijad???
McCain may not be as pretty as Obama and he doesn’t have Obama’s rhetorical flair, but he’s the genuine article. No matter if you agree with all of his positions or not (and I don’t), the man’s experience, strength and character are unassailable. He doesn’t mince words, he isn’t afraid to take unpopular positions, and he’s always thinking of the good of the country first.
That’s the guy I want leading my country.
Geez, if even the leftists at MSNBC are saying McCain hit a home run tonite, he must have really kicked The Annointed One’s butt!
Poor BO….no teleprompter….no Hillary to go first to help him figure out what he would say….Amazingly and thankfully, McCain did well. BO is sooooo out of his league, it is almost sad. McCain’s stands on the issues are no where near my long-held liberal views, but he has my vote.
I watched the Rick Warren Forum too! I made myself watch with an open-mind. I was actually being drawn in while Sen. Obama spoke….HOWEVER, John McCain blew away his doors! It even left David Gergen almost speechless! His responses and his style were political genius! He ran BO over with a B-52 bomber and flattened the BO Bus.
I had the same reaction. I could vote for McCain if I were assured that he’s not a crazed hawk who will pick a war with Iran, and if he chose a reasonable VP.
I have faith that he doesn’t want war and wouldn’t want to send his children into another war. Unlike GW and Obama, he knows the truth of what war is really like.
To jessinwis:
No worries about “crazed hawk” or going casually into another war – the public would go to the streets. Plus, it will not take the most liberal person in the US Senate to end the war in Iraq. McCain or whoever becomes president won’t have any other choice but end the war. The only difference will be how they end it NOT if.
McCain is still sharp. His answers were quick, and he was funny in a self-deprecating v. ingratiating way (the latter being how I would describe Obama.) Tonight I got a chain letter from my sister in OH, and it does not look good for Obama in that state. I counted about 50 people that had that email had been forwarded to. My family is evangelical, btw.
Doesn’t look good for him here in Western PA either. I got two e-mails last week comparing Obama’s tax plan to McCain’s. Each of the e-mails had distribution lists with at least 15 people. 15 people tell 15 people, tell 15 people…you get my point. Hard numbers in there.
So Obama is going to be magnanimous in allowing a roll call vote. Who in the Hell does he think he is?
Have you not heard? He is the President! He even has a plaque saying it is so! Next he will take over the roll call by changing all the votes. He will then accept his crown and rule that the election is over, and that George Bush immediatly remove himself from the White House. McCain? Whos he? I am the President of the US.
What a sorry lot of butt munchers. Every day this clown car full does something to only hardens my resolve to sit this one out or vote for McCain.
If only I had some talent (and Photoshop) I’d do Harry, Nancy and Howard up in red rubber noses, big floppy shoes, and rainbow fright wigs riding in a Fiat Toplino.
You need to vote for McCain. If you don’t vote for McCain, it’s the same thing as voting for Obama, since it’s a needed vote that McCain won’t get.
Please don’t sit this one out. It will help put BO over the top. We don’t need that.
I wish you had photoshop talent too. I’d love seeing the picture.
Great comparison of Obama’s run for POTUS, just go look at his rise to fame with the Harvard Law review.
How did Obama become President of the Harvard Law Review, by his writings, no he did none, his supporters used the race card, informing the Law Review that the year before a Chinese student was made head of the Review, yet a Black has never been. The Chinese who was head the year before excelled and the Review was exceptional during his tender due to his hard work.
Under Obama, the Review was the weakest in recent memory and the people on the review were constantly at eachothers throats due to poor leadership by Barack Obama.
Do nothing, use race for advancement is a pattern with Barry Soetoro, time for people to investigate and do what is best for the country and not a pathological liar from Chicago!
He was not president of the law review..that’s a lie peddled by MSN. He was an intern for a short while. I read a story about that back in Feb but no one else semmed to want to talk about it. I dount he even graduated since his marks were near flunking. He’s never privided any docs to proev he is who he says he is.
He is one big fat lie.
The media even “claims” he graduated top of his class.
They say that to circumvent the fact that Hill was valictorian and out of 896 students she was the top 5 in her college.
No, he was editor of the Harvard Law Review. He never wrote a single article, but he was editor.
That’s like saying he ran a kitchen but never cooked a thing. What a crock of frickin’ manure. That must be reason 12475498 NOT to vote for the lop-eared polecat.
It is unbelievable, just typical of Obama to get the glory but not do any work at all. I don’t know how he ever got away with it. Being editor of a law review is normally an outrageous amount of work. But he did nothing but ‘bask’.
Apt word, BASK. Clown seems to do a lot of basking!!!!
That is correct – he was president of the Law Review and graduated with honors from Harvard Law School.
Congratulations McCain!! What kind of answer is? That is above my PAY RATE…OMG
Heard that too! Un-f’n-believable! And this is the future POTUS! Give me strength!!!!!!!
That question is above my pay grade! ROFL!
Poor choice of words there, Obambi. You’re supposed to be running for CIC, that is the top of the pay grade.
yttik — Obama wants to be a symbol and let others do the work.
Ok, if it is above his pay grade now, then it will be above him as President. Worst answer yet!
I liked the big Flip Flop when he said that he welcomes Debates so that the people can get to know him.
hank — we have 2 wars going on and a possible 3rd conflict with Russia and Georgia–Our economy is in shambles and Obama wants only to talk about himself.
soeBOBO is a writer of autobiographies.
Yeah, now that Obama threatened the delegates and made them delegates for him…what does he care?
Hillary delegates are being forced to vote for him. This is NOT democracy. What’s the point? I have never seen anything like this. This is NOT Democracy.
What happened to the secret ballot? Why’s Obama forcing delegates to sign who they are voting for? This is not how it’s supposed to go.
Well, if I was a delegate, I’d sign undecided and then vote for Hil!
Only super delegates have secret ballot, maybe they’re too stupid to know what secret means, or don’t have enough honor to know when not to say something and stand up for what is right.
Having Hillary for President will be a miracle that I wish for deeply. Tonight I watched the McCain and Obama forum and McCain is by far the better person who will easily defeat Obama. But if he runs against Hillary that will be a tough one to call. Neverless I will be voting for Hillary first and if not her then McCain is my second choice. Obama can go suck a lemon.
Yes, the difference between them was shown to be enormous and they were not even debating one another.
SD s were warned. How can they justify putting a candidate with questionable allegiance to America and virtually no experience up against a War Hero with a lifetime of service to this country?
The die is cast. There’s no way that the Dems can take the nomination away from Obambi now. If they did, 95% of blacks and probably about 50% of college students would sit the election out, meaning that McCain would roll over Hillary easily and she’d then be seen as the villian who robbed the Democrats of the White House.
As it is, if (when) McCain beats Obambi in this, an election year in which EVERYTHING pointed to an easy Democratic victory, then rank & file Dems will regret having been swept off their feet by Obambi and will turn to Hillary to rally the party, setting her up for a run in 2012.
If you’re a Hillary supoporter and you’re thinking realistically, you vote for McCain this year and then for Hillary in 2012.
Don’t be so sure about the ninety percent of blacks thing. The DNC is worried more about the new black voters they are hoping to register, not already registered African American voters. You’d be surprised how many conflicted black voters stayed home during the primaries.
Come on, now. If Obama is denied the nomination by a superdelegate coup at the convention, blacks will see it as yet another instance of whitey keeping them down. They will be absolutely enraged and they will sit out the election in droves. Maybe not 95%, but a very significant percentage indeed.
And you can speak for black people because…?
The superdelegates seem to be worried about a small slice of the U.S. population. Also, note that roughly 75% of the over 25 year old population does not hold a college degree. It might be wise to worry about the majority of the population. Perhaps the superdelegates should take a look at figures from the 2006 U.S. census :
Population, 2006 estimate 299,398,484
Population, percent change, April 1, 2000 to July 1, 2006 6.4%
Population, 2000 281,421,906
Persons under 18 years old, percent, 2006 24.6%
Persons 65 years old and over, percent, 2006 12.4%
Female persons, percent, 2006 50.7%
White persons, percent, 2006 (a) 80.1%
Black persons, percent, 2006 (a) 12.8%
American Indian and Alaska Native persons, percent, 2006 (a) 1.0%
Asian persons, percent, 2006 (a) 4.4%
Native Hawaiian and Other Pacific Islander, percent, 2006 (a) 0.2%
Persons reporting two or more races, percent, 2006 1.6%
Persons of Hispanic or Latino origin, percent, 2006 (b) 14.8%
White persons not Hispanic, percent, 2006 66.4%
Foreign born persons, percent, 2000 11.1%
High school graduates, percent of persons age 25+, 2000 80.4%
Bachelor’s degree or higher, pct of persons age 25+, 2000 24.4%
McCain blew him away in the debate. No question.
Agreeded! and why????????? don’t the SD’s see that. No way Obama will win. McCain was like a laser!
Well, the DNC better wake up, because America is looking at the new President John McCain.
Obama V McCain= President McCain
Clinton V McCain = President H R Clinton
It will be great for democracy if Hillary is nominated at the convention. The aftermath will also be very rewarding.
Everyone will be in shock and Hillary will be out campaigning.
The Repubs will scrambling to revamp their campaign.
The DNC will be trying to explain what happened and will have to decide whether to back or blame Hillary.
The MSM will start backpedalling all over the place, while making McCain their media darling again. And I’m sure they will manage to throw in some ‘Hillary stole it’ comments.
Obama will be in total shock, blame the Clintons, demand a recount, take it to the DNC and the courts, mobilize his Chicago thugs, and call to all the people under his bus to help him ‘right the wrong’ – gee – do you think they will? You know what they say about stepping on people on the way up. Eventually he will sulk his way back to the Senate, until he loses re-election and is forgotten. Let’s hope he doesn’t do anything to damage our country.
Wouldn’t it be great?
I love your scenario.
And yes, McCain was awesome tonight.
One of the commenters was taking a drink everytime Barry said, “Uh,” but had to quite because she didn’t want a hangover in the morning.
Now I understand why Barry is so afraid to do a townhall meeting with John McCain.
Crap, now you guys have got me wishing I hadn’t given up Dishnetwork.
Or Scotch.
ROFLOL; that’s a riot bethtopaz !!
That one got me rotflmao!
And the DNC will go down with Fraudbama. A new DNC will rise. Rise Hillary Rise!
I would love that! Obama would probably cry and have a temper tantrum, kind of like that Bill O’Reilly with his teleprompter trouble. I think that wasn’t O’Reilly. I think it was really Obama in that video and they edited it to look like O’Reilly! LOL! Not O’Reilly, Obama in costume:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjdkhUDZnts
Oh. My. Gosh. So, I am watching the Olympics in real time, unfortunately – that meant I couldn’t fast fwd through Obama’s commercials. Maybe that was a good thing this time – his whole commercial was abt the 5 million green collar job plan. My partner said, “That was HILLARY’S plan, you SOB!!!” Um, YES, YES it is!! He has stolen ANOTHER of her plans and is claiming full credit for it!! ARGH!!!!!
He has no idea how to implement this plan nor does he care to. His plan is anti-american and a secret so far.
Harp~yes, he did great, but must admit I only watched the first four questions for Obama.
I particularly like Senator McCain,s anecdotes, that is what experience gives you. He had
many of the questions so did not have to formulate an answer, he already experienced these things and gave honest responses, with brevity.
Now I understand why HRC did not want to go first everytime during the debates. Obama was always piggy backing off her answers. Now infront of 15 million Americans, Obama stumble his way through Rick Warren forum. IN liberal Califronia he could not wow the audience. If this is not the final dagger for super delegates, the DNC is going to hell in a hand basket.
I have to believe that Bill or Hillary was behind this coup by Rick Warren to make Obama sit down and answer questions.
HRC would have handle John Mccain in this debate tonight. I differ with JM on some issues but Obama was a disappointment. Noway will Roe vs Wade ever be overturned. AFter all the dems hold the majority in both Houses. If HRC isn’t nominated, John Mccain or Nader will get my vote.
Wait until this debate is played over and over on you tube. And the MSM wants to say he was tired after his vacation?
Country First!!!!!!
I guess the rest in Hawaii didn`t do any good.
If the ultimate goal is not to elect Barry Soetoro POTUS, then I urge all of you who want to sit this election out out to instead vote for John McCain. It is then more than one less vote for Barry, but a vote he has to fight against!
I differ with McCain on every issue but I like the man. He is humble and he loves this country as much as I do. It will be my pleasure to vote for him.
Like i have been saying its a fixed processdesign to shut the bitter bitches up and get on with the fawning on the messiah. They are going to manipulate it to look like Obama won way more delegates in each state than clinton did as well.
They dont want clinto ahead at any point…of course not.
Its all a scam and its not going to get any of the bitter bitches voting for him. If anything its going to piss people off even more when they see how its handled…assuming they even let it get covered on tv in anything other than a cursory manner.
Its a massive fix designed to show some fake ass unity…oh look even the delegates abandonded her and are all for obama…yawn…theater of the absurd.
I just read the “pay rate” line over at Politico.
http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/0808/Obama_says_marriage_is_between_man_and_woman.html?showall
He’s supposedly a constitutional lawyer and he doe not know the legal answer? That is shocking. Has he ever read Roe v. Wade and progeny?
What?! He actually said that? I can’t get my jaw to close, it is sitting here on my keyboard. Christ, don’t his handlers field practise questions at him to get his answers down? It’s not like this kind of question wasn’t expected. Is he really that stupid not to prepare, or is he subconsciously trying to lose?
Yes Ms Strawberry, heard it with my typical white woman ears!…………. LOL
Ahhh…Georgia. You are a peach.
Georgia, I’m still a little dazed…I can’t believe this is what we’re running as a candidate in the year we couldn’t lose. How much ya’ wanna’ bet we’ll have Obamatrons here telling us how great Barky did tonight? Oh and sorry about the spelling errors. It’s the shock.
I really loved when they asked Obie who he’d consult with as POTUS he says Michelle, McCain says General Petrais! That’s a U Tube wait’n to happen! copy that!
Michelle’s got him on a pretty short leash!
Honey…..she got’m by the dag gone collar!
Did you mean short hairs?
Honey I mean there ain’t no lease on that pup… she got him by the throat! LOL
Thanks Georgia, I just got my jaw back into place when I read your last comment. The man is a jackass. Actually I see a great ad with Obama asking who he would consult with…his wife, followed by the clip of Michelle saying for the first time she was proud of her country.
LOVE IT! THAT’S A WRAP!
Who has Barack really been consulting for the past 20 years? T.U.C.C. The church of Mr wright( KKK god dam America )?
Same here StrawberrybitesBarky.. Unbelievable…What a “leader”
Andy, Barky gives me GIRD.
It’s on Drudge now!
He also said he wouldn’t have chosen Clarence Thomas for the supreme court because…ok, sit down…Thomas was unknown and not experienced enough!
My head exploded, but lucky for me I superglued it back together. Can’t do that too many times and survive so thank God there are only 3 debates!
ROLFLMAO! That is the first time I ever used that acronym (hope I got it right), but you’re post was hysterical.
I’m beginning to think he never graduated and that everything said about him in the postive about his education and work history is a lie.
specificity is above my pay grade
That is one of those I heard him say that was a real gem!!
If he can’t answer this and admits to being unqualified to answer that question with at least a “boilerplate response”, then hells bells.
True. And, by the way, what higher pay grade is there than being a candidate for President?
President of the WORLD!!!!
I think that the super delegates should be running from Obama like rats from a sinking ship. His petulance and spite should give them the desire to flee. He seems to feud with everyone.
I will watch, only the Clinton portion of the Convention, yes to see how this plays out. There is too much room for shenanigans, and I truly hope she does not end up getting beat up further, nor any supporter. I will continue to support any efforts of Senator Clinton regarding her personal campaign runs, but never the d party. Country first, my energy is focused on McCain at this point.
For those afraid to vote Mccain. Staying home is a vote for Fraudbama. Not voting Mccain is a vote for Fraudbama.
Please read to understand Mccain better. Get out the kleenex. This mmight get teary.

OBAMA AUTHOR ANDY MARTIN EXPLAINS WHY EVERY AMERICAN CAN FEEL COMFORTABLE SUPPORTING JOHN MCCAIN
ANTI-OBAMA LEADER MARTIN SAYS MCCAIN PROVED WHAT HE WAS MADE OF UNDER THE MOST EXCRUCIATING CONDITIONS
(NEW YORK)(August 15, 2008) It’s not often that reading a Chicago Tribune news story brings tears to my eyes, but a report today in the Chicago Tribune on John McCain in Viet-Nam is a must-read article for every American. It’s also a reminder why any American, Republican, Democrat and Independent can feel comfortable voting for McCain.
Just a few days ago, we had the obscene spectacle of General Wesley Clark saying “McCain’s being shot down was not a qualification for president,” or words to that effect. I agree. The act of being shot down, standing alone, is not a qualification for anything except landing safely in one piece.
As a young ROTC cadet at the University of Illinois in the “advanced corps” on a path for a commission in the Air Force, we were lectured and taught survival training. The men teaching us had dropped bombs on Berlin, and survived. Thousands of other young men had not. We were also taught that SAC (Strategic Air Command) pilots might be making a one-way trip to the Soviet Union. John McCain no doubt received the same training at Annapolis, and later at flight school as a carrier-based pilot.
But “survival” is an abstract concept until you see your life about to slip away. At that moment, and only then, does death seem real. I also come from a military and clandestine operations family, so the concept of service to the nation was embedded in me at an early age, just as it was in McCain.
I had never heard the Hanoi “Church riot” story that appears in today’s Tribune (maybe it has been published before) about McCain and the other POW’s defying their captors to conduct church services. I had never read of the added punishment they endured. And I had never read about their religious observances and spiritual resistance.
http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/chi-john-mccain-religion,0,1583353.story
During those dark days in captivity, McCain stared into his soul. He had to ask himself what he was made of. Like most veterans, and especially those who have seen combat, McCain is not a “rah rah” type of man. That’s why the “church riot” story is so unusual. And so inspirational.
Insight and wisdom do not alight on our souls by accident. They usually appear when we least expect, in times of utter despair and desperate need. The experience of helplessness and hopelessness, and the will to survive under those conditions, made McCain the strong character he is today.
Please read the Tribune story and let me know what you think. McCain passed the test in Hanoi; he is ready to pass the test in the White House. He honored us then; he will honor us in the future. I don’t agree with all of McCain’s views, and in fact I disagree with many of them. But on the overarching issue of protecting the United States, and our future, I will sleep well when he is in the White House.
this is the truth….
McCain convinced me tonight he is worthy of my vote!
I wasn’t going to vote for him just to punish the Democrats for their despicable behavior during the primary (or at least that is what I told myself), but tonight I am confident that voting for John McCain is GOOD for my country! If he would select Hillary as his VP, I will donate money and time!
Thanks for helping fill in the gaps of JM’s service. I, too, differ on many issues with him but I will vote for him with a clear conscience.
Nothing has changed for HRC. It is a Dean/DNC fix and all will be for show. This is shaping up just like the Rules and Bylaws meeting…we were sure that when the issues were examined, Hillary would be called the winner. Just as now. Any rational person would think the delegates from the states she won would be bound to give her their vote…
I am open though to be surprised…clearly a very long shot. The 2000 and 2004 Republicans have nothing on these crooks.
I believe McCain is different from Bush and, it is my fervent hope that if he is the candidate opposing Obama, he will win in such a landslide that there will be no doubt.
I connected with the link yesterday.
If I had doubts about McCain’s character, this article cured them. Reads something like a movie script, except few movies I’ve seen have this power.
What particularly caught my attention was line about “render unto Ceasar’s what…”; that the War wasn’t instituted by God; that prisoner’s prayers to God for His intervention toward release might more appropriately be directed toward seeking strength from God against their misfortunes. (reminds me somewhat of the book of Job.)
Hard to believe this guy lost to weasel Bush.
Up to now, all the focus has been on Barack Obama. But starting tonight, and culminating at the Reopublican convention, America will now get the chance to be introduced to John McCain in earnest. While they know he was a POW in North Vietnam, very few Americans know the exact details of the ordeal that this extraordinary man went thorough. But I’m betting that most Americans will have the same reaction I did 8 years ago when I first heard McCain’s life story told in detail. I wanted to stand up and salute. Anyone who could endure 5 1/2 years of what he endured in North Vietnam without going crazy has to have balls of iron.
The man is a stud, plain and simple. But even more than that, he’s a good and decent man who loves his country more than his own ambitions. He has been my choice for president since the 2000 primaries, and he will make a great president for us.
“Look, Howard, I got a plan that could get anybody elected.”
“Yeah? What is it?”
“Well, it’s kinda like yours, only it works.”
“How do you know?”
“Hell, it even worked for me?”
“No shit? Think you could do it again?”
“No sweat.”
“Eeeeeeaaaaaaaahhhh!!!! All right! Think we could get rid of those damned Clintons once and for all?”
“Consider it done. Just keep quiet and back my play. Deal?”
“Hell, yeah, deal!”
I will not watch the Dem convention. It’s a sham and a fraud and I don’t have the stomach for it. I will catch up on how it went on here.
The SD’s are going to go along w BO regardless of all the warning signs because they have white guilt. The only thing that will derail this is with something very incriminating and devastating. I mean it would have to be HUGE, undisputable and inexcuseable. Otherwise, McCain and the Republicans will take him down.
People who have white guilt are the real racists or why else would they feel guilty?
Those people should be ashamed talking about how he walk and his age. I understand the reason why JM cannot straighten his arms today is because they were broken several times when he was a prison. I am sorry but I cannot read his story anymore. This Obama wants to get the highest job in the land without having to do the work.
I am predicting Obama will pick HRC. WHo eles can save this sinkign ship? I hope she refuses.
That is his only hope. Like you, I hope she politely declines.
I will lose all respect for her if she agrees to VP and then will never vote for her. She would never have a chance again to be POTUS either. Think about it, she could not run against Obie in 2012, she’d have to be a good little Dem soldier again running for reelection and after the horrors of an Obie Administration (because he would never listen to Clinton, she’s white and a woman and would just be for show) the Republicans will own America for decades if the country is still viable!
McCain mentioned they adopted a child. I`ll bet dollars to doughnuts that next week he announces that he and Michelle are adopting some white kid from somewhere.
omg that poor kid. he is going to grow up hating his own race.
Oh yeah…Obama adopts applachian child…then changes his mimd after the story blows over and has had it’s full affects.
Well, at least a child can ride free under the bus.
It might be just a little crowded, though.
I think Obama should direct some of his campaign funds into buying another bus.
No calling McCain a racist either. The child is a black girl from Bangledesh!
If you want more reason to vote McCain, here goes:
In 2000, John McCain was running against George W. in the Primary. He had to suspend his campaign after W.’s campaign started rumors that he had fathered a child from an affair with a black woman. The child in question was the child he and cindy adopted from Bangledesh! I can’t get the video anymore, but it was on CNN archives and when I watched the recap of why McCain had to suspend in 2000, it looked alot like how Hillary was treated by Obama’s campaign. It made me want to make it right for McCain this go around if I can’t have Hillary. McCain was robbed of the nomination in 2000 by similar tactics by a similarly evil young, inexperienced creep.
Enough said?
I will be voting for McCain if I can’t have Hillary. I will have no regrets with my vote either!
“coo-coos”, Haha!! That says so much about the Obamabots. But, really, its scary.
Amy; thank you for the post and your bold face comments. It was thanks to them that I could stomach reading the article…
And what a bizarre article it is… It is so insulting that borders surrealism…
I don’t understand what are they talking about either: how can she have between 600 and 1200 when she has much more that 600 PLEDGED DELEGATES WHO SHE HAS NOT RELEASED ???
The Superdelegates is another story. And here what I do not understand WHY are all Superdelegates so “worry” about their vote if it is SUPPOSED TO BE A SECRET BALLOT??
Amy or anyone can you help me here?
Andy – I think they were saying that NOW, she would not get her original full compliment of delegates because they switched to Obama. I think the state delegates call out their answers, but it was my understanding that the SDs voted in secret. I could be wrong, and even if that is how it was done in the PAST, I sure wouldn’t hold my breath that it will be secret this time around (how else could OBush punich them if he doesn’t know just who deserves it?!?!? Ahem.(.
Anyone else have some answers/thoughts on this?
Amy– what do you mean? The pledged delegates switched already?? How come?? What does it mean “the state call out their answers” ?
I thought HRC had kept her pledged delegates on-board or at least all of them with few exceptions… This doesn’t make sense… I mean I know they could do what they want but in principle they have to reflect the votes of the people they are representing…unless HRC releases them..
I am more confused now…
Nobody is going to be voting in secret if Obama has anything to do with it.
The Ohitler Campaign and the Acelfraud Gestapo want to make sure they can document every single SD’s vote prior to the roll call so they know who is a turncoat to the New Ohitler Youth Movement and needs to be taken behind the political barn and shot after.
Trust me, unless its a mass defection that is agreed on in secret and then acted on in one fell swoop no body dares oppose them or thier political life is at an end in the Democratic Party.
Short of an interparty Coup, nobody is going to stick their heads out in the current climate of fear and oppresion that is coming out of chicago.
I just googled Loretta and sent her a glowing complimentary email promising to donate to her next campaign. Good grief, is she running this year? Anyway, these brave ones need our support and kudos. I hope others of us will do the same.
Everyone Nationwide and Worldwide saw what the DNC did on May 31st. It will not be forgotten and many will be voted out of office when their re-elections come up.
I won’t say where I live, but I actually had a republican who is running for office call me. I was shocked. Then I realized that the DNC was at fault for that phone call. Why?
Because they were so underhanded for their “making of a dream candidate,” they decided to select Obama probably the most unqualified candidate ever. Of course the republicans know how angry democratic voters, they watched as we got the doormat treatment by Obama and the DNC.
The worst part for me at this point is that I don’t even know if he is actually an American citizen!!!!!
The DNC wasn’t thinking about unity, or the democratic voters. Nope! These selfish men and women of the DNC decided to blind themselves with greed. Oh they have “Hope and Change” alright, looking forward to Obama and ready to cash in on all the promises he has made to them. Obama (is that his real name) and the DNC do not think much of the American Democratic Voters. We are only a means to an end for them.
Obama and the DNC has embarassed us to the max. Our votes meant absolutely nothing because we didn’t fit into their equation of whom will meet their needs. The general consensus is that any democratic candidate for the 2008 Election in November will win because of 8 years of Bush. Hmmm, I guess we will all see if they are right about Obama!?!? I would think the majority of the American voters will want a candidate with formal and informal credentials. I haven’t seen any proof that Obama has either.
It’s too bad they showed how arrogant they all could be on a nationwide broadcast. Yes, overall democratic voters are loyal to their party, but not when voters get trashed by their fellow democrats.
Now, they have some sort of circus going on. Obama at whatever field speaking, fenced in cages where they will put those who are arrested for whatever reason they decide. Also, this fence is wired to give someone a jolt if they accidentally fall up against it.
What are the delegates and superdelegates thinking? This convention is to announce the democratic candidate for the Presidency. Why can’t they make all democrats proud.
I agree, this is not American Idol.
Bush isn’t an easy President to live with, but he didn’t make the White House look like a bargain basement. Republicans really do know how to give first rate status to their conventions and their voters. Something the democrats have no concept of at this time.
I do want to say that I was very impressed with the Congressman from Florida. As he spoke at the DNC, I knew he was representing the voices of all voters. This Congressman has honesty, integrity, and respect for the democratic process.
I want him as Senator Hillary Clinton’s VP. And, she would be the nominee without all the fraudulent acts that were committed.
Party Unity My A$$!!!!!!!!!
just a little humor I worked on about Barry – hope you like it – only video I have posted
http://www.youtube.com/econsmed
ed:
It is great!! I loved it all except one thing: I’d remove the cover of Corsi’s book. It diminishes the validity of everything else imho.
You know, everytime I see Obama’s big O –the campaign sign– I see this imaginary rat coming up and walking through it…
I love the shot of the Clintons at the end!
I can’t seem to get signed on to utube so I couldn’t leave a comment, but this is cute and you put a lot of work into it. I really enjoyed it.
ed,
That is great! I loved the dog taking a leak on the sacred icon. Bullseye
Thanks!
ED
You are very talented.
A great video.
You put a lot of thought and time into it.
COUNTRY BEFORE PARTY ALWAYS
PUMAS,BUBBAS, AND THOSE PEOPLE RULE
Absolutely terrific! You have shown the truth and it is good my son. I hope the McCain and Clinton camps get a look at this. Really, really cool!
For all you fake McCains supporters, It sounded to me like he knew the questions before hand. I wouldn’t put much stock in the faith forum tonight. I can guarantee that Obama will be much better during the debates. Just ask Hillary.
your jok’n right…….
Hillary kicked his ass 8 ways from Sunday in the debates. She’s scary smart, and knows good government and policy details in her bones – she lives and breathes it.
Kelvin, kiss my ass! No, better yet, kiss your own!
Don`t you ever feel stupid always making up excuses for this bozo. Its getting pathetic.
Kelvin: What you posted just came off HuffPo, so it must be true, huh? HRC cleaned Barky’s clock and so did McCain.
Are you kidding me? Obama is so incompetent, I bet he can’t even tie his own shoes without help. He’ll be a national joke after two minutes in a debate with McCain.
Oh Jesus… I read that as incontinent…LOL
ROFL!
Even with the free media obsession, it has been widely acknowledged that debating is not Obama’s strong suit. The backlash against requiring him to answer any question of difficulty was overwhelming during the primaries. But you do understand he is required to debate McCain eventually.
And ‘fake’ McCain supporters? I’m afraid you missed the mark again..we are REAL McCain voters thanks to your Obamessiah and you,.. kudos.
Obama miss the boat with the rights of a child question, he missed the boat also on the evil question, he gaffed the tax question and made a mess of the three people for his administration that he would depend on.
His three was Michell, his grandmother and some other people right and that was supposed to get people off of their seats, it was a dumb answer, face it Obama made a mess of tonight.
Kel-weenie!
Unfortunately for the rest of us you were conceived.
Although Bo can’t tell us exactly when since it’s ABOVE his pay grade.
I think you need another toke on that bong man!
Stop the hate!
Kelweinie, are you still there? Or are you trying to unstick your head?
So if the questions were known before hand, what’s Barky’s excuse?
B. Hussein Obama Soetoro lost tonight and you are making imaginary excuses. Unsurprising.
Yes, he did sooo great he was scared to debate her again after she made him look like an idiot in the debate before the PA primary.
Tonight’s forum wasn’t even a debate, all he had to do was answer some questions without the teleprompter and he couldn’t even do that. He’s so sad I actually find myself feeling sorry for him, until I remember that he and his minions at the DNC have guaranteed us another 4 years of Republican rule.
AHAHAHA Thanks for the Laugh Kelvin, it made me remember how bad Obama did in the debates…and how he ran from hillary’s challenge near the end of the primary season for more debates.
hehehe…god
Um uh uh i uh uh uh as i uh have said before uh uh uh umm uh you know these are the types of uh um uh distractions uh I think the american people are umm uh uh not interested uh in umm uh…
ROFL
Kelvin you are one funny guy.
Hillary stood out in every debate as the winner. She can talk on her feet and she was the most well informed of any of the Democratic candidates.
Don’t try to keep repeating your lie to make people think that’s the way it was. There were people actually watching rather than putting forth Obama’s daily talking points. Get lost.
kelvin — if Obama knew the questions in advance why didn’t he come up with better answers? Could it be that McCain with all his experience is the better candidate?
Hmmmm his famous ” I agree with Senator Clinton line” is not going to work for the General Election.
You must have a rich fantasy life though.
Would someone who knows, tell me how the pledged delegates can change their mind on the first ballot. After the first ballot if noone wins enough delegates then “pledged” (the ones the primary voters voted to represent them) can change their obligation to vote for the candidate that won in their state. Hillary can release her delegates anytime she wants. but if she doesn’t release them, then they vote as pledged. She was only between 150 + -200 behind Obama in pledged delegates. The Supers can vote any way they want. Enough “announced” after June 6th that they were supporting Obama to make him the presumptive nominee. NOONE is the nominee until that vote takes place at the convention. It is entirely possible that enough Supers are disgusted with Obama to change their vote and nominate Hillary. Obama is trying to intimidate again by saying each delegate has to sign who they are voting for. Maybe enough Supers will say “to *#$@ with your mafia tactics Obama; I’m voting for the best this time.” Then that signature in support of Hillary will be a “badge of honor”; not something to be afraid of. How disgusting; that people feel fear in trying to practice Democracy in the Democratic Party no less!
No delegate has to vote any particular way. They’re expected to vote for the candidate they represent, but have the option to vote their conscience. They have no obligation, though.
RamonaOHIO:
I had the same question about pledged delegates (see my comment above) How on earth would HRC have only 600-1200 votes in the first round when her pledged delegates (who are supposed to REPRESENT THE PEOPLE that cast their votes for HER) should vote for her on the first ballot ?
HRC has 1,639.5 pledged delegates to Obama’s 1,766.5
Their difference in pledged delegates is 127
with neither reaching the needed majority solely with pledged delegates.
Enter then SuperDelegates and these should be with secret ballots !!
Here is the last count according to RCP:
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2008/president/democratic_delegate_count.html
After watching (almost dozing) through Obama’s ummm uhhh answers to Rick Warren’s questions and then being almost electified by John McCain’s answers to the same questions, I will more than likely vote for McCain. Now, if the questions and answers had been posed to Hillary and McCain, McCain would not have come away at the end of the session with such positives. I hope the DNC rots in hell for what they did to the best candidate ever to run for President.
Well McCain sure ran circles around Obama tonight at that question and answer time. McCain was good he really surprised me with his answers, I honestly did not expect McCain to come off this good.
Obama was a total failure and if he was looking to pick up some votes from this rounds he better think again, McCain was all over him tonight.
Run away, Hillary, run! Save yourself. Don’t associate with this incompetent, mealy-mouthed, narcissistic, passive-aggressive, wacko! He is bring the DNC down, don’t go with him!
McCain didn’t have to know the questions beforehand, lols.
All he had to know were his own opinions on stuff politicians are asked all the damn time!
McCain’s answers were clear and to the point because he wasn’t try to pander to the whole damn world at once.
When you just say what you think, believe me, it always comes out clear.
Oh and it also helps to have had some life experiences to draw on. Just a tip for the next time you shop for a candidate. lmao.
Oh and trolls, I hope you get used to this, because McCain is going to win.
When you lie about everything and everything about you is a lie, it’s hard to know what to say.
…unless Hillary is the nominee of course
Then it would be Hillary ‘08.
what the hell is a fake McCain voter?
when I cast my vote for him, that’s all the “realness” it needs, right?
The only real people support Obama.
Didn’t you get the memo?
You want proof?
You don’t need proof just believe.
You want Hope and Change now shut the f*ck up and get in line and get over it already.
Omessiah is here to save you from yourselves because america is a downright mean country, now shutup and take it or else.
What are you racist?
Breaking News..
Obama Birth Certificate Fuss “Ridiculous”
Website: CBS news..blogs The Horserace
http://www.cbsnews.com/blogs/2008/08/16/politics/horserace/entry4355527.shtml
Great, they are finally talking about it, hope for legs and more digging into Obama’s inconsistencies.
Its a shame CBS can`t keep up to speed. The one they are talking about is the phony. NEWS, my ass.
It’s about time!
I read some of the comments. Most people believe the BC is phoney just like Oliar. That helps when people read the comments as they contain much more info!
I appreciated John McCain’s candor tonight myself.
He made it perfectly clear where he stands on a woman’s right to choose: A fertilized egg has all the rights of a child at the moment of conception. Period. I thought the women only had their rights to terminate a pregnancy to worry about. It looks like they might have to worry about their birth control methods, too. The pill, after all, keeps fertilized eggs from implanting. That fertilized egg has all the rights of a child, from the moment of conception.
He also made it perfectly clear how he feels about Supreme Court judges. That he’d like to stack the court with those of his own conservative persuasion came through loud and clear. Liberal judges, by definition, are judges who interpret the constitution from a non-conservative perspective. The Constitution, apparently, is a conservative document, and all other readings are “legislation from the bench”.
WAKE THE HELL UP, PEOPLE! You’ve got to start listening to what the candidates are actually saying! If you don’t, you’re going to get a rude awakening later.
I already knew these things about McCain, but thanks for your concern.
The time to worry about a woman’s rights was during the primary.
Hope you enjoy the McCain presidency.
Enjoy it? I just hope we all survive it. Not everybody has survived the Bush presidency, as I recall. Last count, some 4,143 young American’s hadn’t. We’ve added 16 so far this month. Check again tomorrow. The number isn’t getting smaller.
As if you give a shit about the military. Just another talking point for you. Remember, McCain has a son in Iraq.
I care plenty. I was somebody’s son in Vietnam. I cared about people who are no longer here to state their opinions.
I hope John’s son makes it home OK. Most do. Some don’t.
You don’t need to tell me about Iraq, thanks. And I’ll take McCain over Barky anyday. Barky was still pushing for uparmored Hummers when MCCain was fighting for the MRAP.
I believe you have that situation turned entirely around.

I have a brother and a son in Iraq right now, both on their second tours.
Obama doesn’t have their vote either.
Obama made it very clear in Germany how he feels about the troops.
The McCain campaign would like to make it very clear how Obama feels about the troops. They also want to tell you about Obama’s leadership qualifications, and about how Obama will raise your taxes. Why should you question anything they tell you?
Most of Obama’s trappings come from his own words (written and spoken)and actions.
A more pertinent question would be to ask yourself why you question nothing about Barack Barry Dunham Soetoro Hussein Obama.
Questioning Barack Obama was my starting point. I question everybody and everything. That’s how I arrived at the conclusion that Obama is a far better choice than John McCain.
Trying to reason here is exactly like trying to reason with George W. Bush supporters was during Bush’s first and second presidential campaigns. There’s the same obsessive fixation on a handful of irrational positions that are unquestioningly accepted, as though they were fundamental articles of the faith.
There’s the same demonization of the opposing candidate, which spills over to that person’s supporters.
There’s the same tendency to deflect all efforts at reasonable argument without giving opposing views any consideration. The impenetrable defense is an unwillingness to hear opposing views or the reasons for them in the first place.
I’m beginning to think maybe you are the same people.
Make sure you use birth control James. We don’t need anymore stupid Obots.
An honest, forthright candidate.
Imagine.
Obama just voted “Present” when he had a chance to do something for women’s rights on birth issues.
Don’t forget he also fought to kill the bill that allows a baby born alive during a mishandled abortion to receive medical care. This means a live infant being left alone to die after birth for an indefinite amount of time. The bill did not include medical liabilty nor did it change a woman’s right to choose. It was simply and only an effort to require medical help be provided to an infant BORN ALIVE.
Maybe he sees all children as a “punishment” somehow, but I doubt many pro life or pro choice advocates would agree that an infant born alive should have no right to life.
Hope, Glad you brought this up. I sent an email out with his argument to the IL Supreme Court where he was advocating terminating a live baby, outside of the mother’s womb in a “botched abortion”. You should have seen the hate mail I received…….. Really bad stuff……scary!
You received hate mail for supporting an infant’s right to live?
This election truly has created an alternate reality.
yes Hope that is exactly what happened. I was dumb enough not to BCC the distro list so not only did I get the hate mail but all 25 of my nearest and dearest got them too. All wrote me back saying who the Hell was that??? kept getting hit over and over……. very scary………
I have always been pro-choice…not because I’m for abortion but that I don’t feel it should be a matter of law but one of a medical decision between patient and physician. However, when I heard this story, I had second thoughts about my long time stance. It’s very disturbing and seems as though extremists are committing infanticide. I can’t justify late term abortion period.
I thought I heard that the nurse who found the 10″ long baby in the closet of dirty towels is going to be on Fox next week…Hannity?
You’re grabb’n at straws here pal. McCain’s position has never changed on pro-life stance. Did Obie even vote on the issue, I don’t think so…. it might have been above his pay grade!
What Obie was telling you was that only God knows when there’s a human soul in a fertilized egg. I suppose a lot of republicans have inside information.
Being President= having to choose a side
Only God knows many, many things..America stills needs a leader who can lead.
Oh and I’m sure Hillary could have articulated her opinion and been ready to defend it..she’s a Democrat, in case you didn’t know.
W.O.R.M.
Jamesy:
You got any more excuses for BO’s performance.
Lord even his supporters are finding excuses for him. McCain had the questions ahead of time. He shouldn’t have gone he doesn’t need the evangelical vote.
Good grief. You’ve sold your soul Jamesy and for what? Was it worth it?
Stop the hate!
Morning sunshine!
Wide awake here and no talking point, no matter how boldly typed or dramatized, will cover up the corruption and inability of Obama. At least with McCain (and according to you) you know what you get..an American Patriot with steady values.
I suspect it’s the Obama supporters who will have the rude awakening they’ve created to deal with.
McCain is sharp, I may not agree with his stand on issues, but at least he knows where he stands.
Obama would tell us where he stands, but apparently questions like that are above his pay grade.
Tks yttik couldn’t have said it better myself!
Can you please explain why you think the majority of the electorate gives a rat’s ass about a woman’s right to choose? Be real, pal. Half of them are over the age of 50!
MBC… Its called PRINCIPLES and MORALS you flaming IDIOT!
well if Obama-Soetoro would actually say something, then we might have a comparison to make.
I’m not worried. there will be dem control of congress.
Not that they deserve it.
Re: SCOTUS, McCain said that he would appoint judges that were Constitutionalists and would not legislate from the bench. I have to agree with him, I don’t want any member of the SCOTUS to inject their personal views or the views of a foreign nation into the interpretation of the Constitution. It has served us well the past 225+ years with few modifications.
As for abortions, I don’t have a problem with his interpretation of when life begins. Personally, I don’t believe in abortion but I do believe that it is an option that should remain available to a woman.
Seriously, I was surprised. That comment by McCain didn’t bother me after remembering how Barry doesn’t mind allowing a newborn to die alone on a shelf in a linen room when an abortion failed. I am so pissed off at dems that I may actually be becoming a pro lifer! Yep. I can’t believe it. But now I am thinking that I am done having kids. My man has had a vasectomy. Let those little girlbots fight for their rights this time around! I’ll just watch. You know what the problem is with you nutcase Oliar fans???? You like him because you’ve also never had to work for a damn thing in your life. Those before you sacrificed alot to get these rights and you pricks piss it away without any real knowledge or though. Piss off Jerky, if R vs W gets overturned, you go fight for rights! No. Won’t happen. You could tear yourself away from your IPod or Xbox long enough!
I am voting McCain if Clinton is not nominated and I will hold him accountable. A big reason I have to vote Mccain is because dumb fucks like you won;t hold your biy accountable if he is out of line. As far as McCain goes, I know everyone hear will take action if he goes against the people’s wishes.
Now go to bed Sparky!
I like this woman, she told Barry to crap or get off the pot months ago. We need more Dems like her.
Republicans lashed out Friday night at Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean after he called their party the “white” party in a radio interview.
The Democratic Party leader was discussing diversity in his own party during the interview, when he apparently slipped and referred to the rival party by color.
“Our party has been a no-majority party for a long time. The fact is that the Democratic Party is made up of lots of different people,” Dean said.
“If you look at folks of color, even women, they’re more successful in the Democratic Party than they are in the white — excuse me — in the Republican Party.”
Dean laughed as he stumbled over the correction. The interview was posted on the news video Web site Breitbart.tv and credited to an NPR segment Friday.
Freudian slip that is. Dean is a tool and Brazile is his tool bo…oh right she’s a lesbian that Obama wouldn’t let get married.
The DNC is screwed.
Dean’s idiocy proves the DNC has no capacity to pull off the coupe they’ve intended.
“A visible roll count: This sounds a lot like making a witness testify in court, declaring the bad guy guilty, while face him sitting at the defense table — can you spell I-N-T-I-M-I-D-A-T-I-O-N ?? This screams out as a vendetta list in the making. You know how Clintons operate. Either they own you or they will try to destroy you. They already called Richardson a Judas …. the sooner Clintons are disarmed, the better!”
So sayeth on commenter…ignoring the fact that the Obama crowd has its own huge vendetta list…
What a load of crap!!!!
So, Bush, Obama, and McCain take the same pro-WWIII position. No surprise–follow the money trail.
Georgian president–the Cheney-ac neocon Saakashvili–and Barack Obama
share the same ownership–billionaire speculator George Soros and his
British Intelligence front–the “Open Society Institute.” More
important to Soros than the oil angle is that Georgia is a dope
transshipment point. And the Saakashvili gov’t has been remarkably
soft on drug enforcement.
A wise man once said that journalism is the oldest profession–since journalists’ get better paid than whores.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I am stunned by the lack of historical reference to other “working conventions” in today’s discourse about our country. Isn’t dissent the highest form of patriotism? Hmmmm…that sounds sooo familiar!
For Obama’s camp, the roll call is a ritual that will defuse any potential tension with Clinton or her supporters without affecting the outcome or the theater of Obama’s dramatic nomination.
(…)
“The convention is about nominating Barack, so his people want to speed through the vote as fast as possible so it won’t take too much TV time,” said a Democratic delegate who plans to vote for Clinton. “They also want to avoid a scenario where she’s leading at any point.”
They have missed the point! Do they think us that stupid??!! That attitude is only throwing salt in the wound. HRC supporters don;t want to be placated by this pompous ass! And oh gee!!! We don’t want to interfere with the messiah’s coronation! I CAN’T beleive they actually are saying this!
What a FUCKING JOKE. Its shameful that these games are played… Shit. Make it complete and do the whole thing on the ‘Shopping Channel’… such a deal…
*SPIT*
Obama has been selected but not elected. Shame on the Democrats.
You want historic?!! THIS is historic… NOT obassole… and she did it on her OWN merit… NOT the censored hype of the MSM etc…
In 1949, she married Conrad Chisholm, a Jamaican who worked as a private investigator. Shirley and her husband participated in local politics, helping form the Bedford-Stuyvesant political League. In addition to participating in politics, Chisholm worked in the field of day care until 1959. In 1960, she started the Unity Democratic Club. The Unity Club was instrumental in mobilizing black and Hispanic voters.
In 1964 Chisholm ran for a state assembly seat. She won and served in the New York General Assembly from 1964 to 1968. During her tenure in the legislature, she proposed a bill to provide state aid to day-care centers and voted to increase funding for schools on a per-pupil basis. In 1968, After finishing her term in the legislature, Chisholm campaigned to represent New York’s Twelfth Congressional District. Her campaign slogan was “Fighting Shirley Chisholm–Unbought and Unbossed.” She won the election and became the first African American woman elected to Congress.
During her first term in Congress, Chisholm hired an all-female staff and spoke out for civil rights, women’s rights, the poor and against the Vietnam War. In 1970, she was elected to a second term. She was a sought-after public speaker and cofounder of the National Organization for Women (NOW). She remarked that, “Women in this country must become revolutionaries. We must refuse to accept the old, the traditional roles and stereotypes.”
On January 25, 1972, Chisholm announced her candidacy for president. She stood before the cameras and in the beginning of her speech she said,
“I stand before you today as a candidate for the Democratic nomination for the Presidency of the United States. I am not the candidate of black America, although I am black and proud. I am not the candidate of the women’s movement of this country, although I am a woman, and I am equally proud of that. I am not the candidate of any political bosses or special interests. I am the candidate of the people.”
The 1972 Democratic National Convention in Miami was the first major convention in which any woman was considered for the presidential nomination. Although she did not win the nomination, she received 151 of the delegates’ votes. She continued to serve in the House of Representatives until 1982. She retired from politics after her last term in office. She has received many honorary degrees, and her awards include Alumna of the Year, Brooklyn College; Key Woman of the Year; Outstanding Work in the Field of Child Welfare; and Woman of Achievement. Shirley Chisholm passed away on January 1, 2005.

Bet barky never heard of her…
“so the AA community doesn’t get pissed off”??? wow and what about women? what a f****** joke!
