Howard Dean, The Race Card and The “White Party”

All of this kind of reminds me of a time awhile ago, when that Neo Conservative Fascist Dick Armey referred to Barney Frank as “Barney Fag” during a press conference. He lost his mojo after that one. You never saw a “leader” disappear from public view so fast in your life after that. Armey didn’t “mean” to call Barney a fag. He even tried to say is “sounded” like “fag” but wasn’t “really” fag. But the truth is, a video is a video and Dick called Barney Barney Fag. I heard it and saw it live. But I will agree that he didn’t do it on purpose. It was a slip of the tongue. It’s just that Dick was so accustomed to calling Barney that in front of all his compadres over cigars, scotch and guffaws that he forgot where he was.
The same goes for the Neo Liberal Fascist Howard Dean when he referred to the Republican Party as the “White Party” earlier this week.
Apparently, Howard is an honorary black person now, but the truth is, somebody needs to tell Howard that he’s white too. In fact, he’s not only white, but he looks a little pale these days–but we’ll save that for another time.
The thing is, I’m sure The Dirt Ball Who Has Mastered Divisiveness Howard knows he’s white. He also knows he’s not a woman, else he might have done something more than snicker throughout the primaries and pretend he didn’t notice what his Sexist party did to Women in General and Hillary in Particular. His disdain for the “other” gender even shows through in the video below, when he adds women in as an afterthought, as in “Even Women ….are more successful in the Democratic Party”. Coulda fooled me! Screw you Howard. I really think you are an embarrassing buffoon and I hope you don’t go back to practicing medicine on innocent women when we throw you out of the party and restore some dignity and sense of propriety to the party you have bulldozed. “Even women” vote Howard. And believe me, we aren’t staying home on November 4 like Donna suggested. Just so you know.
Like Dick Armey, Barack Obama’s hood ornament Howard Dean didn’t mean to call the Republican Party the White Party. It’s just that Howard Dean and his band of nomination Fixers have been so accustomed to constantly pulling the Race Card for the past year or so, that he forgot where he was.

Inner city schools are poor, ill equipped and populated by many students who lack supervision in their free time and teachers just trying to keep the peace. Single parents often working two jobs and living from hand to mouth with no time or energy to help their children with homework or prepare them for college or the future. Obama is despicable to promise people a world of hope and change without offering a plan to help. I believe older AAs know this is true, but can’t resist the promise of an easy solution. Eventually, they will realize they have been lied to and this will be laid at Obama’s doorstep. In the meantime, we can’t afford to lose our way. If the answer is a viable third party, I’m ready. As long as it is inclusive and has an honest commitment to the principles to the civil rights of all. The Democratic Party will pay for using race baiting as weapon just as the Republican Party will pay for creating and using wedge issues based on religious beliefs.
You want a Clinton administration. Bill Clinton was a growth President who brought oppotunity and growth to all Americans, black, white, whatever. The rich and the middle class and the poor all did better. We may need a new party to accomplish that again. Or, at least, a re-built Dem party.

You are only partially right,simanov. When LBJ pushed for and signed the Civil Rights Act, he was told by other members of the Democratic Party he had just signed away the majority support in the South. Since that time, the southern states have voted Republican while the AA vote has gone to Democrats. Nixon further used race as a means to Republican victories in the South, but in a negative way. Both parties are equally guilty of using race to gain majorities just as they have used women’s issues to persuade voters. Obama has done the same thing. I just believe some members among the Dems know this is true on some level and think the way to fix everything is by voting for a bi-racial candidate without considering the character or qualifications. They can’t recognize they are now the new group being used to accomplish the goals of people who really don’t give a damn about anything other than power.
And it was Ike who sent Federal troops into Little Rock to enforce Brown v. Board of Education.

I’ve never liked Dean so I can’t even give an unbiased comment about him. Let’s just look at his rise to power in the Democrat Party and what’s happened since. Look at the 2006 election and what was done with Lieberman and Steele. Then look at this election and what has been done. I rest my case. He should have been stopped long ago. He has ZERO problem using racism or misogyny in elections and somehow it’s OK for him to do so even though he is Caucasian simply because he’s a Democrat. I don’t think so.

Back in 2004, I didn’t pay much attention to politics, but I did develop an immediate and intense aversion to Howard Dean. He struck me as one of those self-righteous people who rarely stoops or stops to listen to anyone else’s opinion.
Right now I think he has crossed the line & would agree that he is a mental case.
Not knowing much about him, I checked Wikipedia & found some information that may explain some of his past and current irrational behavior:
Grew up in East Hampton NY; wealthy Republican family; attended prep schools and graduated from Yale University; 4 brothers, no sisters; specifically requested an African-American roommate at Yale; raised Episcopalian, but switched to United Church of Christ (is this the same denomination Obama belongs to?).
Seems to fit the stereotype to me of the guilty, spoiled white brat who will make a point of doing exactly the opposite of what his parents would do and to blazes with anyone who doesn’t agree with him.

The title of Obama`s book gets changed for Indonesia:
Jihad: From Jakarta To The Whitehouse
A correct translation of the title of Obama’s book would have been “Keberanian Harapan: Pemikiran Untuk Meraih Kembali Impian America” which translates into “Audacity of Hope: Thoughts on Reclaiming The American Dream”. However, the title for the Indonesian translation of Barack Obama’s book is “Menerjang Harapan: Dari Jakarta Menuju Gedung Putih” which translates into “Assault Hope: From Jakarta to the White House”.
The problem with direct translations is that often times they never make sense. The words “menerjang” (assault or attack) and “harapan” (hope or expectation) make sense when used separately, but used together, the term “menerjang harapan” makes no sense in Indonesian. But while the term makes no sense, it does however present a mental picture to the native Indonesian speaker, the imagery of a “hopeful assault” a “struggle for victory” or to put it more bluntly, a “jihad”, or as the Indonesians see it, Obama’s “jihad” for the Whitehouse. For the native Indonesian speaker, this figurative language creates a mental image whereas the translation of the book’s title can actually come to mean “Jihad: From Jakarta To The Whitehouse”.
Why would the publishers drastically change the title of the book for the Indonesian translation and make use of such figurative language? Your guess is as good as mine, but it would seem that Barack Obama is quite interested with promoting himself in Southeast Asia as a crusader for the cause of Indonesia’s Muslims.

I have always been a Clinton supporter, I guess because I’ve always been pretty conservative. I am not fond of demonizing politicians, at least until the Bush administration.
Though I was never a Dean-iac, I believe the main problem with Dean right now (and Kerry and Kennedy) is that they wanted to take the easy road to the White House.
They started thinking of voters as sheep, so they stopped talking issues and started marketing a product.
On paper this might have seemed clever, but it belies an incredible cynicism in their view of Americans.
It will not succeed. Obama is not a leader, he is a product with a glitzy marketing strategy behind him. He is the New Coke of the DNC.
Unfortunately, they are right up to a point, a lot of people will buy any shiny piece of crap you flash in front of them. But those folks will get tired soon enough. Obama’s support is so thin, so easily deflated, that I truly believe this election will be over come mid-October.
Obama never was the politician the Dailykos crowd thought he was, they have attributed positions to him that he never actually held through their own assumptions of what a young, hip, multi-racial candidate should be like. Obama is a self-induced mirage.

i was about 6 feet from him, my “hero” at the time. during the q. & a. session, a hispanic woman asked him, “gov. dean, everyone is always focused on the illegals and what we can or can’t do for them. i want to know, what does the democratic party plan on doing for middle class hispanics who were born here, or are legal citizens, are active voters and are struggling in this economy.” good question, eh? i know i wanted to know his answer. i was excited that a hispanic woman asked what i, a white woman could not with the same power. well, dear dr. dean, “answered” her question by going right into the democratic spin about illegals and hitting all the typical b.s. talking points, never even getting close to answering her question.

The Democratic party is NOT a “New” party. What we are seeing is nothing new. It is an attempt to hijack the party by radicals and members of the dead “American” socialist, marxist and communist parties. It has been tried before and the result will be the same. The MAJORITY of this party does NOT belong to MOVEON. But they all vote. They are moderates who tend to show up at the polls and help send these hijackers packing.
