Just think, if all the debates between Hillary and Obama had been ran with the same format (cone of silence), we wouldn’t be having these discussions. He would have been blown out of the race a long time ago. maybe McCain should insist on the same format.

I saw Obama’s sorry performance at Saddleback Saturday night. I knew as soon as he made that stupid comment about Thomas that he knew he’d screwed-up. Even the Obama supporters that think he is the second comming will have to admit he did a piss poor job Saturday night. I thought it was funny when Pastor Warren told Obama that the first question was a “gimme”, and that the rest wouldn’t be so easy. He seemed to almost swallow his tongue then. As soon as it was all over, the Obama camp had to throw out allegations that McCain knew the questions beforehand. What a crock of crap! That shows how afraid of McCain they are now. All the stars were lined-up for McCain last Saturday night, and he drove over Obama, backed-up and drove over him again. The Obama camp couldn’t call McCain a racist for doing so well, so they called a cheater.

Warren said that he had given both candidates the first two questions before they arrived so it was okay for Obama to say that he looked up his answers. Unfortunately for Obama, he blew the answers even after studying.

I agree, I was thinking the same thing about Obama I bet he schmoozed with professors his whole time through law school. We’ve seen these types in college. College professors are much more affected by that sort of thing.

Hi all, I’m new to the board. I decided to leave that pompous Politico and come to a site agmongst friends(HRC supports).

Ofcourse McCain was ready it was a forum about religious values. Why did the Obama campaign not think there would be a question about abortion-that’s a nobrainer. When I heard this forum was going to been on Saturday night,right after Obama got back from vacation. I knew he wouldn’t do well.

I heard Warren say in that interview that they both knew ahead of time what some of the general topics might cover, but not the specific questions. Barack Obama is never going to be prepared as long as he is trying to judge the reaction of the audience and adjust his answers accordingly. His stutters and stammers get worse when he is trying to make it up as he goes along.

I agree with the person, above, who mentioned voting machine hacks.

Right now, people like us read the polls that show Obama always ahead of McCain, and we think “Who ARE these people who are being polled? How could that many people be fooled?”

The day after the November GE, the whole country may well wake up and think something like “I didn’t vote for him. No one I know voted for him. And yet, he won. Gee (scratches head), it must’ve been people in some other part of the country.”

Maybe that many people are NOT being fooled. The polling organizations use something called a ‘partisan weighting factor’ to tweak their nightly poll results and that makes it easy to manipulate the results any way they like.

And what is the demographic that has taken the lead in voting machine analysis and methods to prevent hacking. Let’s see: Groups based on Seattle, or is it Portland? Progressive political views. High tech skills. Young and male.
