More Attention on Annenberg, Ayers and Obama – finally – and how YOU can help

While everyone is waiting for the VP pick, I thought you might find this interesting.
It looks like Obama’s relationship with Bill Ayers and the Chicago Annenberg Challenge is getting some more attention. Stanly Kurtz from the National Review has been trying to get access to supposedly publicly available records from the Challenge housed at the University of Illinois at Chicago. After several assurances that he could read the records, permission was withdrawn at the last minute. Luckily, he writes about his Chicago travails.
In the process of tracing down the Obama-Ayers connection, I located a large cache of documents housed in the Richard J. Daley Library of the University of Illinois at Chicago. These documents are the internal files of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, a small foundation, founded and inspired by Bill Ayers, for which Obama served as board chairman (almost surely at Ayers’s behest). Although the library initially promised me access to the Chicago Annenberg Challenge records, top library officials mysteriously intervened at the last minute to bar access.

Initially, as I said, library officials said that I could examine the CAC records. I received this permission both over the phone and in writing. The subsequent denial of access came with a series of evolving explanations.
Apparently, the writer spoke with several people employed by the UIC library, all of whom assured him access would not be a problem. At the last minute, permission was withdrawn on rather thin arguments – first that the documents were “restricted” and second that the donor had not signed a “deed of gift” to the UIC. As to the first, a list of the documents had already outlined 5 “restricted” files, not the entire cache of many boxes. As to the second, the UIC would not even identify the donor.
Somewhat startling in the blogosphere, a friend of NQ, Steve Diamond, gets credit for doing the legwork on the Ayers/Obama/Annenberg story.
We already know a good deal about Obama’s service at the Chicago Annenberg Challenge. That information paints a disturbing picture, and one sharply at odds with Obama’s claim that Bill Ayers was just “a guy who lives in my neighborhood.” A number of bloggers, including, for example, Tom Maguire, at Just One Minute, have done excellent work on the CAC issue. (See here and here.) But the key reporting on the Obama-Ayers connection via the Chicago Annenberg Challenge has been done by Steve Diamond, at Global Labor and Politics. (See especially this important post of June 18, 2008.) Sad to say, the mainstream media has almost entirely ignored the issues so powerfully raised by Diamond, and discussed at length by various bloggers, even though Obama’s service at the Chicago Annenberg Challenge raises serious questions about the veracity of his account of his relationship with Ayers. Access to the CAC records promises to provide a treasure trove of documentary evidence fronting on this and many other critically important issues, from Obama’s policy views, to his political-ideological alliances, to his leadership abilities.

Speaking of Fox, did anybody see their hour-long special on the meteoric rise of Obama last night? It came on at 11:00p.m, and I fell asleep half way through. I saw the part where they covered his school enrollment form as Barry Soetore-Muslim, and the elite prep school he attended in Hawaii (even had his own voice saying it was where the island’s elite sent their kids to school. I don’t know how much they got into Ayers and his other connections. But they did talk about how close he was with his Pakistani roommates.
It was repeated this morning 5-6 am, I got up a little after 5:30 and saw the end. Alot of Rezko stuff. I have to see when it’s on again so I can TiVo it. I believe the John McCain one is on tonight at 8.
Yes, I was amazed at how many Pakistani friends he had, and how they are now big bundlers for his campaign. They also detailed how he traveled with his Pakistani friends to Pakistan while he was in college.
It seems unusual to me that a student with no particular scholarly interest would decide to travel to Pakistan. This along with his Islamic upbringing in Indonesia really starts to make hime look like he is hiding something when he denies his Muslim past.
Two people close to the Republican campaign have told me that not only does the whitey tape exist, but also that they have a tape of him doing the Muslim prayers on the floor.
If that comes out, people are really going to think he is Manchurian. If he had had some courage, maybe he could have admitted he was a muslim and went on from there. The fact that he is denying denying all the time, and we get this slow trickle of information that shows he was practicing Islam reveals the lying Fraud that he is.
Most importantly, the “prayer tape” has him praying to Mecca as an adult. Expect it to appear after the convention, once Hillary is safely out of the picture (no pun intended).

When I read this article it appeared to me that Sen Obama had a VERY close relationship with his mother yet he writes a book explaining his relationship with his father-and almost ignores his mother’s existance except for some comments here and there? One might think that he did not want to attract attention to his mother. Why?

OT but I think the DNC is polling their party to see who we will vote for. I just got a call from the DNCC and they asked me 1) If I was following the election for president closely, very closely etc., and I answered closely. 2) Who would I vote for if the election were held today. I said John McCain – and added if the democrats nominated Hillary – I would vote for her – but I didn’t think that was likely. So my answer to her was very sure I would vote John McCain. No other questions.
I have always voted democrat, but they asked for me instead of my husband, and we donated to Hillary’s campaign, (under my name) so I am thinking they may be polling her supporters – not sure.
I got a call from Rasmussen last week. I said some similar things. The poll was general, though, not focused only on Dems.

I was disappointed that there weren’t more details, but the show left me hanging which I believe was their intent.Ayers is one big pus hole as is Obama’s drug use and the many iffy bisexual comrades that are in Obama’s past. Personally I do not care about consenting adults sexual behaviour or their drug of choice, but having been married to an alcoholic, porn addict I do not want anyone like that as POTUS of the United States of America.
So, CNN seems to think that Joe Biden will be The Anointed One’s running mate. How perfect. If there’s a bigger asshole in all of Washington than Joe Biden, I don’t know who it could be. He’s an egotistical prick who’s in love with the sound of his own voice. If I had to make a list of the five people in the world I would most enjoy punching right in the face, Joe Biden would definitely be on it, along with Howard Dean, Michael Savage, Keith Olberman and Chris Matthews.

Somehow he manages to blend into the mainstream of society where he now resides and is considered to be a valued member of the community by his community today.

Now that Hillary seems to be out of the picture, the mainstream press is giving Obama some attention.
I still hope that some objective mainstream source explains to us why this reporting couldn’t have been done a year ago, other than it would have helped Hillary. And why is helping Hillary, by just reporting the news as it is, such a terrible thing for these media sources to do. I still don’t get it.
A picture of the Obama administration is beginning to form, even without his honest input and despite his rhetoric.
Foreign affairs: George Soros and Zbigniew Breszinski. Democracy = free trade. Security = co-opting Russia and China and securing natural resources in Afica.
Economics: The Chicago School. Watch out middle class…even if Obama’s campaign now is making the middle class its #1 priority…something along FISA lines I guess.
Education: Bill Ayers.
Faith-Based Programs: Gamaliel Foundation & implementation of liberation theology.
Energy: Big Oil, Nuclear, and T Boone Pickens’ windmills to appease Nancy Pelosi.
Youth: National service and military conscription.
Working adults: Higher taxes, transportation, food, and energy costs.
Health Care: ??
Government Reform: Take it away from Blackwater and Halliburton and give it to “faith-based” social programs.
Banking & Finance: Bail out banks and mortgage companies; triple national debt to 30+ trillion; create new infrastructure bubble for the entrepreneurs and hedge funds.
Social Security: Increase taxes; privatize.
I don’t think I like this picture at all.

Don’t forget that Ayers was/is a Marxist. “From each according to their abilities. To each according to their needs.” And that the SDS promoted revolution to replace the U.S. with the great socialist state. Obama tries to push back McCain’s shots at his character, without impugning McCain’s, in a speech to veterans today. In particular, he’s demanding that McCain call him a patriot — forcing the direct question to a candidate who, at times, shies away from his own harsh attacks; and pressing a storyline Obama likes: That McCain is Mr. Negative.

But one of the things that we have to change in this country is the idea that people can’t disagree without challenging each other’s character and patriotism. I have never suggested that Senator McCain picks his positions on national security based on politics or personal ambition. I have not suggested it because I believe that he genuinely wants to serve America’s national interest. Now, it’s time for him to acknowledge that I want to do the same.
Let me be clear: I will let no one question my love of this country. I love America, so do you, and so does John McCain. When I look out at this audience, I see people of different political views. You are Democrats and Republicans and Independents. But you all served together, and fought together, and bled together under the same proud flag. You did not serve a Red America or a Blue America — you served the United States of America.

I don’t believe the bowing down his head to the floor by Obama. Yes, there is a video from the New York Times where Mr. Obama is singing the arab prayer calling to worship. Now, getting it from the New York Times will be a challenge, especially when they are sniffing and drinking the koolaid too. I am sure they will release it to the curios journalist finally. As for the whitey tape- that has been a rumor and nothing have been found to prove it exist. I think Michelle would have been worried if it did exist- and as far as I see- she is fine with that rumor. I hope I am wrong- love to see the koolaid kids crying a moody river in the end when they see Michelle saying “those damn whiteys’!.
