ACORN – CSI – OBAMA. Someone else noticed!

For a candidate who claims to be practicing ‘new’ politics, his FEC reports look an awful lot like the ‘old-style’ Chicago politics of yesterday. – RNC statement, 8/21/08.
It appears that Internet based information sites are not the only venues who have been tracking the goings on between Obama, CSI and ACORN. Recently the New York Times reported a mild suggestion of conspiracy between ACORN staff, employees of CCI (Citizens Consulting, Inc. – yet another 1024 resident) and Tides Foundation, to not talk about the Rathke ACORN embezzlement affair. It was spotted in the
Pittsburgh Tribune Review Wednesday in an Op-Ed titled: “Tides of ‘transparency’”, and subtitled appropriately: “keep your yaps shut.” Quotes the editorial:
“..is quite an irony for a bunch of leftists who have been known to yap at others for their lack of transparency.”
In today’s issue of the Tribune-Review there is a headline:

Obama to mend spending report
U.S. Sen. Barack Obama’s presidential campaign paid more than $800,000 to an offshoot of the liberal Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now for services the Democrat’s campaign says it mistakenly misrepresented in federal reports.
I have to admit, that as the research was being compiled for yesterday’s questions on this subject, I thought that these “infractions” were so glaring that someone else, this time someone in the MSM, had to have also seen them.
This questionable Obama behavior was spotted by a reporter with a powerful Rolodex - the type found only in major press rooms. The reporter interviewed Jeff Robinson of CSI, the Obama campaign, the RNC and the then Obama campaign again, after the RNC. Numerous quotes from other entities, such as the FEC and watchdog groups are included. It is a must read today.
The reporter, David M. Brown, was quite generous in his fair treatment of this subject, but one of the people he interviewed was not so gentle. In the article the RNC says:
“Barack Obama’s failure to accurately report his campaign’s financial records is an incredibly suspicious situation that appears to be an attempt to hide his campaign’s interaction with a left-wing organization previously convicted of voter fraud. For a candidate who claims to be practicing ‘new’ politics, his FEC reports look an awful lot like the ‘old-style’ Chicago politics of yesterday.”
Then, after reading this statement from the story, I have to agree with the Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics spokesperson who said this:
“It’s rare that people don’t file any amended reports.“
But I also agree with this, from the same source:
“If he has a pattern of lots and lots of amended reports, that would be more noteworthy than an occasional one.”
In my opinion, you can’t accidentally type STAGE, LIGHTING AND SOUND when the bill from your vendor obviously says”Get-Out-The-Vote Organizing.” And then, on ten additional, separate occasions, make the same type of mistake on separate forms, followed by ADVANCE WORK entered when the bill says Get-Out-The-Vote Organizing or POLLINING when the bill says Get-Out-The-Vote Organizing. This, in my opinion, is noteworthy because it sounds like a pattern of lots and lots of amendments to the FEC reports.

Continued analysis will be done on these, and future reports and an FEC complaint is becoming more likely as you read this.
So, this is the house that ACORN built. Does Obama have a room?
An Obama spokesman said Federal Election Commission reports would be amended to show Citizens Services Inc. — a subsidiary of ACORN — worked in “get-out-the-vote” projects, instead of activities such as polling, advance work and staging major events as stated in FEC finance reports filed during the primary.
The Obama campaign can amend their reports all they want. But, had observers not discovered this obfuscation, then the lies would have continued to the end of the campaign, as they sprayed tens of millions of innocent donor dollars through various groups to fund the ACORN-Obama grass-roots campaign, under the radar of the press and public.
It does not matter so much who or how many may claim to have been “blind” to these activities. It is my opinion that the Obama campaign knew they were misleading the public and that they have no intention of offering transparency unless pressed and challenged. And I challenge all seekers of justice to continue to challenge him every day.

The plot thickens.
Reading FEC spokeswoman Mary Brandenberger’s comments, it doesn’t sound like they are that concerned. It may require a formal complaint to get the FEC to investigate.
The FEC CANNOT investigate. They haven’t sufficient people to DO the investigating, and right now, we’re at a bit of a standoff.
They are shy, due to people leaving, sufficent members for a quorum. Without the quorum, nothing happens. No meetings, no investigations, no NADA. It’s a great “no work” job for the few who remain, though.
McCain has some questionable donations, or amounts, or something like that, due to his taking public financing…and Obama has some VERY questionable donations, questionable amounts and NOW THIS bullshit.
Bush isn’t going to nominate, nor Congress approve, any new people to go to that commission. There’s too much dirt on both sides, and if they choose to investigate one before the other, people will whine.
The only “investigation” will be journalistic, for now…which is an iffy proposition on a good day.
So then basically, there are no regulations at all?

A few years ago, executives at the prestigious University of Chicago Medical Center were concerned that an increasing number of patients were arriving at their emergency room with what the executives considered to be non-urgent complaints. The visits were costly to the hospital, and many of the patients, coming from the surrounding South Side neighborhood, were poor and uninsured.
Michelle Obama, an executive at the medical center, launched an innovative program to steer the patients to existing neighborhood clinics to deal with their health needs.
That effort, in time, inspired a broader program the hospital now calls its Urban Health Initiative. To ensure community support, Michelle Obama and others in late 2006 recommended that the hospital hire the firm of David Axelrod, who a few months later became the chief strategist for Barack Obama’s presidential campaign.
Axelrod’s firm recommended an aggressive promotional effort modeled on a political campaign — appoint a campaign manager, conduct focus groups, target messages to specific constituencies, then recruit religious leaders and other third-party “validators.” They, in turn, would write and submit opinion pieces to Chicago publications.
One key recommendation from Axelrod’s firm: “Respond quickly to opposition activity.”

Center administrators declined to disclose which businesses benefited; the report lists one — Blackwell Consulting Services.
In 2005, the center expanded its bidding process and invited African American businessman Robert Blackwell Sr. to join a competition to upgrade the center’s intranet, the in-house equivalent of a Web site. His company, Blackwell Consulting, won contracts totaling nearly $650,000.
Blackwell and his family, records show, have been longtime donors to the political campaigns of Michelle Obama’s husband, Barack. Robert Blackwell Jr., a former partner in the firm, is a major fundraiser for Barack Obama. At various times, Blackwell Sr. says, his and his son’s businesses each have retained Barack Obama as an attorney.
“I love Barack. I’m telling you, he’s a wonderful guy,” Blackwell said in an interview.
A spokeswoman for the medical center, Kelly Sullivan, said Michelle Obama “was not involved in the selection process.”

I then ran the case # and Plaintiff’s name.
The one allegedly filed Thursday has not been scanned and posted.
According to a conversation I had with an attorney this week — not about the Obama cases, mind you — many courthouses deal with case paperwork the next business day after filing.
So it’s possible the case could have been filed yesterday.

Shame on him. I hope he gets everything he deserves and then some.
Hillary’s words quoted above did get me to thinking though that without a Democratic president she may have a very hard time being effective when it comes to her agenda. Still, even keeping that in mind there is absolutely no way that I can vote for this unqualified candidate (which puts it too nicely). I am now committing to actually campaign at least a little bit for John McCain if that is what it is going to take to keep this guy away from the White House.
I just hope and pray that she does not become the democrats vice presidential nominee because I still will not be able to vote for the ticket.

MCCAIN, CRIST OFFICES RECEIVE THREAT LETTERS WITH POWDER
CENTENNIAL, Colorado — A threatening letter containing an unidentified white powder was sent to a John McCain campaign office in this south Denver suburb Thursday, authorities said. No injuries were immediately reported.
A second letter sent to a McCain campaign office in New Hampshire initially was reported to contain threatening language and white powder. Authorities said that was a false alarm and there was no powder in that envelope.
Authorities are also investigating a threatening letter sent to Florida Gov. Charlie Crist that contained a suspicious but nontoxic white powder.
Florida Department of Law Enforcement spokeswoman Heather Smith says the letter was intercepted Wednesday at the mail center at the state capitol.
Smith says investigators believe the letter was unrelated to one containing powder that was received at a John McCain office in Colorado on Thursday.

Detroit, whose mayor has been indicted on felony charges, hasn’t elected a Republican mayor since 1961. Buffalo has been even more stubborn.
