At least Warren G. Harding (a biracial president, BTW--though that was kept hush-hush) liked to drink, smoke and gamble. He was corrupt as hell, but he had fun.

A corrupt moralizer is plainly worse. Bush is the worst President ever, but if we elect The Messiah, he'll make Bush look competent--and THAT's scary.

Axelrod is a lobbyist in all but federal registration. He works for a lobbying firm, he profits from lobbying activity, and he does business at the behest of lobbyists.

The Messiah has got one right under his nose-in-the-air.

And those lobbyists who are registered at the state level? They're fine, he'll take money from them. He just doesn't like the "DC" ones. But he'll take money from people who work for them, so long as they're not federally registered.

You fools will buy anything in a pretty brown package, because you're just SO EAGER to be "not racists" you'll suspend your intelligence and your logic.

Hold hands and sing "We Are The World" now, if that makes you feel better. Your "United Colors of Benetton" campaign is led by a corrupt, snippy and whining liar.

The President does not authorize spending--Congress does.

The President doesn't declare war--Congress does.

The President nominates, the US Senate advises and consents.

Blame Congress. Bush had lousy ideas; a rubber-stamp Congress ENABLED them.

You think a Democratic Congress would be anything BUT a rubber stamp for a Democratic President? Please. We'll all have what you're smoking, it must be some good shit.

Babs, I think Bush is the worst president I've seen in my liftime. I've also not seen the Republicans clean up crime or poverty. I live in a very liberal city (unfortunately it went 75 percent for Obama - a horror story) but I see our Democratic city officials working very, very hard to make sure people have decent housing, etc., etc. Not that there aren't those that fall between the cracks, but since our state got a Democratic majority in our legislature, things are becoming more positive here. If our country were attacked I'd be right there to help defend her, and I'm a Democrat. And most Democrats I know would be standing next to me. I think your commentary too generalized and disagree with it.

From the late, great Tip O'Neil : "All Politics are local". Delaware is a big banking/ credit card state. Biden passes legislation that benefits credit card companies. Instead of bemoaning the fact, we should take solice: "All politics are local".
We decide who gets into congress, who becomes a senator. We set the national stage. It's pass time we put the local back into politics.

First, you are attempting to establish definitions, not I. You can rant on all you want. Ranting clearly illustrates you are reading from a script and cannot think for yourself.

Second, both Obama and Biden have never run businesses. I don't care if Biden is the poorest member of the Senate. He and his wife are both working and it's surprising that he has not invested his money more wisely. Actually, this illustrates he apparently doesn't know how to handle finances.

Third, your use of profanity clearly illustrates Obama supporters need to get a dictionary or thesaurus. There is a saying which goes, "When someone uses profanity to support an argument, it indicates that either the person or argument is weak-probably both."

But your use of profanity does represent the Obama campaign.

If you define success as a budget surplus, you're absolutely right. By that definition, of course, the republicans haven't had a successful administration in over 50 years. Compared with all democratic adminstrations, they have consistantly set new records for fiscal irresponsibility. Ron, George the First, and George the Second have each pushed the debt into new and unexplored territory, where no previous administration has ever gone before. W did more damage to the budget in a mere 7 years than had been accomplished in the previous 225. A stellar performance!

And where as all that money gone? Whose pockets has it all wound up in?

Don't be telling me bullshit about Obama and Biden at the public trough. Biden is actually one of the poorest members of the U.S. Senate. Even after all of those years of service. Obama wouldn't be much better off, without his recent successes with a couple of books that have sold remarkably well.

Excuse me; "stupidest damn political meme . . ." This comment coming from someone defending Obama.

Obama flip-flopped on FISA.

Obama opposed House-passed 1872 Mining Act reform bill. (In November 2007, Obama pandered to the mining industry by coming out AGAINST a crucial reform bill the House passed that would have updated the notorious “General Mining Law of 1872.” Could Obama’s stance have been influenced by Billy Vassiliadis, a longtime Nevada power broker, mining lobbyist, and member of Obama’s Nevada campaign steering committee?)

Obama supports nuclear energy while saying in certain speeches before environmental groups he doesn't.

The list goes on and on. You have no room to talk if you support Obama.

What you need to do if questions your ethics for supporting a fraud like Obama.

Both Obama and Biden have been eating at the public trough most of their adult lives. Neither would know how to balance a budget or meet a payroll unless they mandated tax increases so they could send American dollars to third world countries.

The only time in recent memory that the Democratic Party was successful was under Bill Clinton.

I think Cindy's an airhead, myself, but she's not running for office. I think Michelle Obama looks like a good looking drag queen, but she's not running, either.

I could give a shit who the two candidates are married to, unless they were married to Barney Frank--now THERE would be a smart spouse! And something to talk about, too!!!

I also realize part of Cindy's spaciness is because she had a stroke and her short term memory is a bit fried. All that substance abuse probably didn't help her much, either.

I'm not thrilled with Johnny, either. He's no "Woo Hoo" candidate, he's simply way less offensive than the Empty Suit with the deck of race cards. He's got faults, and he's got policies I don't like. However, what he does have is proven JUDGMENT and YEARS OF EXPERIENCE. A Democratic Congress can keep him in check.

A Democratic Congress will be unable to check Obama; they'll be too busy shoving their noses up his ass.

The nation will be served by the tension between the Executive Branch and a legislature that is, if not veto-proof, close to it. Compromise will be mandated, and that's probably a good thing.

That's the stupidest damn political meme anybody has ever tried to get off the ground.

McCain is the newest carrier for the same republican agenda Bush has carried. McCain voted with that agenda 95% of the time, and hasn't discarded any part of it.

In fact, McCain has recently reversed his position on many points of Bush policy that he previously opposed. For example:

McCain did a 180-degree campaign turn on the Bush tax cuts, and now promotes a plan that actually out-Bushes Bush himself in terms of benefits to the wealthy.

McCain did a complete reversal on offshore drilling. (And then promptly pocketed over a million bucks in new oil industry campaign donatons.)

The facts suggest that a McCain administration would probably be as close to the Bush adminstration as you could get with cloning.

Yeah, the democratic congressional minority was probably actually to blame during all those years. They were the republicans' enablers.
