Emperor Obama’s Stage To Resemble A Greek Temple-In Honor of Enron Executives

Using contributors’ money and much to the envy of all jailed Enron executives, Emperor Obama will have a stage tomorrow night that resembles a Greek Temple.–thereby sealing the suspicion that an Obama presidency would be one of Narcissism and decadence.

But then, who would expect any less from the preening, prancing, self-loving Lord Obama when he lowers himself to talk to the dirty masses?

DENVER (Reuters) - Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama’s big speech on Thursday night will be delivered from an elaborate columned stage resembling a miniature Greek temple.

The stage, similar to structures used for rock concerts, has been set up at the 50-yard-line, the midpoint of Invesco Field, the stadium where the Denver Broncos’ National Football League team plays.

Some 80,000 supporters will see Obama appear from between plywood columns painted off-white, reminiscent of Washington’s Capitol building or even the White House, to accept the party’s nomination for president.

He will stride out to a raised platform to a podium that can be raised from beneath the floor.

No, the above statements are not satire. They are real. Thiink about it folks. I’ll wait….

Appropriate to his station in life, The Emperor’s stage will rise well above his adoring crowd of suckers subjects in his own specially designed Parthenon. The Emperor’s speech will be riddled with perfectly timed chants of Oooooooooooooo Baaaaaaaaa Maaaaaaaaaa from the crowd. There will be several perfectly time-released instances of a “member of the crowd” shouting “I LOVE YOU BARACK!”and Obama, chin to the sky, will wait an appropriate 10 seconds before shouting in his best cute,”I LOVE YA RIGHT BACK!” The crowd will roar again as the Emperor once again delays the next teleprompter reading to absorb the worship.

The signs will be pre-made to appear home-made and handed out to select members of the crowd so as to ensure that The Seizer  Caesar is sure to see his name wherever he looks when he deigns to dart his Emperor-eyes away from one of four teleprompters. There may or may not be “fainters,” but this is only a slight possibility because of the suspiciously perfect timing of the fainters early on in his Kingdom formation.

Emperor Obama will carefully time a half dozen seemingly profound, but totally meaningless phrases of hopey and changey and the crowd will go wild with rapture, absorbing His wonderfulness. As the crowd roars, the Emperor will slowly move his head back, chin upwards to the other gods in the sky, eyes at half-mast as he sniffs the rarefied air, ear turned to the crowd as he concurrently drinks and revels in the worship. He will pause, perfectly still and say to himself with the little voice in his head: Yes I am!

He will pause for grapes, fed to him by the toga-clad Obama Girl.

And then…….The Emperor will silently applaud himself in his head.

In the meantime, The Republican video clips will be fully prepared and ready for publication before you can say, “Render Unto The Seizer“.

You are not invited to the toga party afterwards, so get that out of your head. But don’t worry. They didn’t hire out some Hooters gals to dance around for them in appropriate garb. (Well, we can’t be sure…). Obama is saving that for his imagined White House occupation–as he tanks in the polls. But make no mistake. For a Narcissist, that is unimportant. The important thing is….well….is….Him.

Say, I wonder if they bought the Enron fountain of the nekkid man peeing gin for future use?

**Caesar Obama brought to you by the talented Freedom Fairy.

You know, when I saw the orange I thought the same exact thing. I also think she gave us a signal in the lines from Harriet Tubman (which, significantly, followed right on the heels of her comments about women’s suffrage):

If you hear the dogs, keep going.

If you see the torches in the woods, keep going.

If they’re shouting after you, keep going.

Don’t ever stop. Keep going.

If you want a taste of freedom, keep going.

Even in the darkest of moments, ordinary Americans have found the faith to keep going.

Comment by Jack | 2008-08-27 20:01:47

The inspiration may be German. The Brandenburg Gate, noted by two on the previous thread. Which of course is itself inspired by temple architecture, so the Classical angle still holds.

Look at the photo in previous thread. The number of columns look about the same as the front view of the Gate.

http://travelpartnersltd.com/brandenburg-gate-berlin-brbrmtr.jpg

Obama’s also appears to have a separate structure to the side of the stage with fewer columns, like the Gate does. The entablature is grooved not unlike the Gate

Though they may still be moving it around.

If the columns end up aligned in a curve, think Vatican Square. fitting.

Most on here know that I’m not a Hillary supporter, but why the hell do I feel depressed?

Perhaps, it is the blatant disregard of the voters across the country who participated in Democracy to have it cast aside.

Or maybe it was the ladies I saw on TV or heard on the radio that were just devastated.

We have turned a dangerous corner in this country and I’m praying the damage won’t be permanent.

Maybe it’s just me.

Comment by catherine | 2008-08-27 19:46:56

You’re absolutely right. It’s the violation of voters rights. Regardless who you support or what party. We have just witnessed something that only occurs in totalitarian countries happen today in Denver, CO USA.

A RIGGED NOMINATION!

For the first time in my life I just donated to a republican. Amazing…if someone had told me I would be doing this just 6 months ago I would have laughed.

McCain’s site asks who referred you to his site.

I wrote “The DNC after stealing the nomination from Hillary Clinton.”

Comment by Ani | 2008-08-27 20:15:22

RepublicanChick,

Thanks for posting. I think you are right to feel depressed no matter whom you support. I feel depressed, enraged, aggrieved, you name it. The press has no right to pick our leaders. The party leadership doesn’t either.

The voters are not being represented — this sham of a convention is a very sad day for Democracy indeed, no matter if one is Rep., Dem, Indie, Green or otherwise.

I am a fan of Hillary’s and I can guaran-dam-tee she would make a 20x better leader than Obama can ever hope to be.

Isn’t it the slightest bit ironic that the German peoples who flocked to Adolf Hitler extravaganzas like this also came out in droves to listen to Obama? Can no one fucking see what is going on? I don’t have much hope. Those who were alert in Germany in the 1930s couldn’t stop Hitler - there were too many Obama idiots in Germany drinking the Kool-Aid.

This is the absolutely sickest thing I have seen in my life time. I hope and pra it’s the sickest I will ever see - that it won’t get worse. But I’ll be honest: I’m scared shitless by this demagogue. Nauseated to be sure - but more importantly I fear for the planet.

Obama is the most dangerous thing to happen to this planet since World War Two.

Comment by tj | 2008-08-27 21:32:55

People do not listen with their hearts. They only hear what they want and refuse to see it for what it is. Many individuals I know have no idea what BO is about, and will not listen to anything anyone tells them. They refuse to become educated. This is what happens when democracy becomes a game played by children.

Comment by jadwiga | 2008-08-27 23:09:42

Before Julius Caesar the Romans didn’t think dictatorship could never happen to them. It was a great Republic too.

Comment by jadwiga | 2008-08-27 23:11:02

Sorry, I meant ‘ever’, not never. Bad grammar. I am a bit out of balance today.

Comment by Rico | 2008-08-28 00:18:40

Um, are you seriously implying that nobody thought Caesar would be a tyrant?

Seriously?

You might want to rethink that comment. Pompey had good reason to dread Julius crossing the Rubicon. The whole Senate knew what was up, and the plebes were begging him to take supreme control.

Oh, and, btw, the Roman Republic wasn’t just like us. It was a corrupt aristocracy, which is why the people were so hot on Ceasar taking control. The plebes were more powerful under Julius Caesar than ever they were under Pompey and the landed Senate (which is to say, not very, but still…).

Oh, and a Greek temple typically represents not Rome, but, um, Greece…you know, the birthplace of democracy? If you’re going to call Obama something, call him Perseus. Oh, wait, that would be a positive association.

Hmm…Socrates? No…um, damn.

(Vote McCain, anyway, he’s a modern day Seneca, if there ever was one.)

Comment by Astra14 | 2008-08-28 08:57:29

Excuse me, corruption is running wild here, or have you missed it?

Comment by Rico | 2008-08-28 19:42:20

You can’t compare American representative democracy to the Roman republic. For one, er, you wouldn’t be allowed to voice your opinion (nor would I) the way this forum allows.

Er, actually, if I have to explain the differences between Pompey’s Rome and modern America, something’s wrong.

“Obama is the most dangerous thing to happen to this planet since World War Two.”

Sadly, I agree with you. And this whole debacle scares me like nothing has before. As much as I would not like to admit, I see too many similarities between now and recent history.

Great orators with mass adoration and a message of hope and change is not necessary a good equation.

http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/Holocaust/hitler.html

I do not like one wit of where this seems to be going. Especially since Michelle seems to think our souls are “broken” and Obama understands this and wants to “fix” our poor broken souls. Shudder..

And to top it, if anyone DARES to question Obama and his past, judgment and accomplishments, he attacks by shouting and spewing racism and now swiftboating. What a bully!

Oh, but of course I got that wrong, it is not Obama who attacks, because the name of the game is to keep Obama looking as innocent and pure and great (he only makes boneheaded mistakes and says things that he doesn’t really mean, presses wrong buttons while voting and innocently passes time with his neighbor, who once set bombs but now has redeemed himself) and the dimwits are those who attempt asking the Messiah any questions.

Curious minds got their 8 questions and that is all. Now it is time for fawning and adoration. Once the coronation is done, we might as well call it a day, because in Obama’s mind he already is the POTUS. You really think your vote counts? Not if he can help it.

The only reason he will fill this stadium is the same way he attracted people in Oregon and Berlin…by having popular bands play…
Tomorrow he has Springsteen…who I reverred growing up (and once bought me a beer) at the NJ Shore. No More..even though I danced to his one of his songs at my wedding….

Do they know that Springsteen lives in a town (Rumson , NJ)….(btw Bon Jovi lives across the river in Middletown (lost the most citizens in 9/11)) where you cannot even vote for a Democrat because there aren’t any on the ballot..in 2000 I voted straight ticket Repub…but was annoyed when I got to the Mayor and council for Rumson, NJ and the only ones on the ballot were Republican…so I chose not to vote at all for Mayor…I thought that we should have a choice…so I didn’t vote for those offices…silly protest (really denigrates the Gore argument in Florida, but a true story)…

Funny…I moved to Texas to avoid high taxes (Democrat State)…but registered Dem to vote for Hillary only to see my vote stolen in the caucases….

Hitler got 100,000 to Nürnburg. Nobody attributes anything special to that - not today. What wisdom we’ve had - how it’s been dashed to smithereens by the neofascists. How blissful to be a raving lunatic Obama fanatic. All things are legal. Break election laws, storm caucuses, steal votes, cheat anywhere you can: might makes right. Brown shirts and gangs and attacks on women, the new “jews”. SS and Hitlerjugend are already here too. First time voters in the US are the dumbest crop of imbeciles I’ve ever seen.

“well there’s a scarey but apt comment, “women are the new jews.” I fear you might be right.”

I absolutely think you’re right. The outright hatred that has been expressed toward women and senior citizens by the rapid Obama supporters has been shameful and frightening. Today I read posts on a newspaper site where a 61-year old was told “you’ve lived too long. It’s time for you to die.” Really sick stuff. Does anyone know if someone has been documenting these incidents? It would make a great show for Lou Dobbs or some real independent journalist. The MSM and the Obama campaign just ignore as usual.

August 27,2008 the day the victor who also had 18 million voters and more important the elected delegates necessary to win which is the deciding factor won based on the rules. 8/27/2008 The day the victor was officially named and the losers whined like little children who could not change the rules to suit them so they took their little balls and went home declaring victory.

Comment by Donna Brazile | 2008-08-27 19:59:17

Hey O Bill go Blow Ohio:

The only whining seems to be coming from you! Why can’t you leave baby Barack alone? Why didn’t Clinton do more? Why oh why ?

Isn’t funny how nobody expects baby barack to do anything for himself.

Why can’t the GREAT Uniter unite his own party?

Stop the hate, hater go blow!

Comment by Ohio Bill | 2008-08-27 20:04:25

I think you are projecting. I was very complementarity of Sen. Clinton. Sorry you are confused.

I wasn’t calling her a whiner I was calling all of you. Yes she got 18 million votes (as did he), an amazing feat, yet she lost because it was as always a race for delegates.

That happens…

Grow up..

Did you decide to support Obama after Michelle visited Zanesville and asked working class women to serve in the “helping industry?” Did you decide to support Obama after his wife complained about the $10,000 she and her husband spend on ballet lessons before a group of women who barely earn $30,000 per annum? Or did you decide to support Obama after he committed voter fraud in certain precincts in Cleveland?

Comment by Ohio Bill | 2008-08-27 20:45:18

I decided to vote for Obama after I sat next to Michelle on a flight from Columbus to LA to attend my grandmothers funeral about 18 months ago. Almost 4 hours later I realized these people are real and they really do care about America.

That is a true story….

Comment by jadwiga | 2008-08-27 23:44:33

Actually I do believe Michelle cares about people. Just she doesn’t ask how.
She is very smart - without intelligence. There is a great difference. (Smart and intelligent would make them wise.)

Caring about people doesn’t qualify anybody for the presidency. I know many-many people who care about others and do a lot for them. They don’t run for office.

The prove of lack of intelligence is their corrupt ways. With intelligence you would understand that the harm done by corruption negates any good they intended.

Oh, Bill, you’re so WRONG! Obama never had the elected delegates to clinch the nomination, but Hillary stepped aside, anyway.

And I never had any balls little or otherwise. Nor was I ever a loyal Democrat. You could have had a fair election, and Hillary would have won. You have a candidate not enough people were enthusiastic about, and you will lose the GE. Not because Hillary was a woman, but because John McCain is a hero and an experienced public servant and leader… running against an amateur and egotist.

Comment by Ohio Bill | 2008-08-27 21:00:30

Fair point..

He won more elected delegates which combined with his super delegates gave him enough delegates to win the nomination.

Comment by jadwiga | 2008-08-27 23:47:14

Billy, you missed the point again.

Winning the nomination is not the same as winning the general election. Which part of ‘aint gonna happen’ don’t you understand?

Comment by s. hall | 2008-08-27 23:14:08

hope floats–look at it this way. Never has the Democratic Party nominated a man so hated by Democrats. Of Hill’s 18 Million only 52% will vote for Obama–48% will not vote for him under any circumstances. 27% will vote for McCain and the rest are not sure who they will vote for or if they should not vote at all. The Dems don’t win even when every Democrat is supportive. This will be a debacle.

The electoral map does not favor Democrats. There is no poll which shows that Republicans are flocking to support Obama. Nothing has changed — all Obama has is the AA vote and they could not elect any president on their own. McCain has shored up his right wing support — and independents are coming his way.

Last but not least let us not underestimate the Republicans. The 527’s are on their way and Obama will finally be fully vetted. That can’t be a good thing for him

Hillary’s speech was profoundly moving and inspiring. she made it very clear who is the real uniter of this fractured and limping dem party. it was more about dem values and ideals, and very little about the hopium man.

Anglachel’s blog today says it all regarding Hillary’s speech and the DNC. Hillary wore orange suit yesterday as a signal. She is wearing jailbird orange as she is held hostage by the DNC.

Comment by VMorris | 2008-08-27 20:00:41

There’s even more to the orange color than that:

http://thatsmeontheleft.blogspot.com/2008/08/hillarys-orange-pantsuit.html

“Orange is the symbolic color of the Ukrainian Revolutionaries who protested the “selection” of the President in a rigged election.”

Of course, just as Obama was only scratching his face at that rally (not flipping Hillary off after she kicked his butt in their last debate) I am sure there is nothing to this. Hillary has worn lots of different colors and I’m sure she only wanted to look warm and sunny and all “unite-y”…not to make it look like she is a prisoner or protesting a rigged election or anything like that.

Um….I think people are reading way too much into the color of the pant suit (cough, cough…)….doo, dee, doo, dee…..Move along there is nothing to see here. ;-) ;-) ;-)

He was turned into a flower… a narcissus flower.
that’s where the name of the flower and the personality disorder begins. Narcissus spent all his time staring at his image in a pool of water. The gods turned him into a flower.

The difference between Obama and Narcissus is that N’s flower smells beautiful, and Obama smells distinctly like Turdblossom.

Comment by Hope Floats | 2008-08-27 23:55:17

I agree with nearly all of your post, but as a gardening enthusiast, I will make one small point.

http://daffodilusa.org/daffodils/faq.html

What is the difference between daffodils and narcissus?

None. The two words are synonyms. Narcissus is the Latin or botanical name for all daffodils, just as ilex is for hollies. Daffodil is the common name for all members of the genus Narcissus, and its use is recommended by the ADS at all times other than in scientific writing.

(Just pointing out that narcissists are rarely taken seriously. They are “daffy” or foolish.)

I love it. It is Oprah Winfrey staging at her best. I bet there will be fireworks and and angels dangling on wires. No one can come up with this type of staging on their own. It takes lots of money and planning. Most people I know are incredulous at what is happening to the Democrats and the DNC. The DNC has become a comedy.

Also, if Oprah’s hand is behind this, please remember that like most of us, Oprah frequently has flawed judgement. Just remember, among other things. the book that she endorsed that was full of fabrications and the school she established in Africa and left in the hands of people who abused children.

Ms. Uppity -

Kudos to you for a very nicely written post - very visually evocative.

Unfortunately, I suspect the events will unfold probably closely to what you laid out (minus the grapes - but a nice touch on your part).

That said, I find myself in disbelieve that the “O-holes” are so delusional to build this stage…WTF are they thinking?

They just don’t get it…on top of the Marxist inspired cult of personality posters, the faux Presidential seal, the big “O” thingy replacing the American flag on the campaign jet, and the silly Berlin speech (and Brandenburg Gate arrogance) they build a Greek Temple-Like stage?!

I believe that this will be a perpetual theme of well-earned derision for years - especially if he tanks Mondale-style in November (and we can only hope)…also, ready made commercials for Johnny Mac.

But, the only questions remaining in my mind about tomorrow concern the possible use of dry ice fog, laser lighting and, possibly, descending from above with a cable and harness? I mean, how would you keep the kid’s attention at a rock concert otherwise?

Comment by Uppity Woman | 2008-08-27 22:04:50

laser lighting and, possibly, descending from above with a cable and harness? I

This is brilliant! One can only hope an obama staff member has read this while they still have time to implement.

I understand they have paid ACORN’s subsidiary a half million for lighting that isn’t a service they perform. Perhaps now is the time for them to actually do the job!

ewillers — Maybe the youth will go for this but for the rest of us being President is a serious job and this should have been Obama’s opportunity to tell us what his agenda is. But Obama needs really big crowds no matter what he has to pay to get them — 76 Million Boomers and 45 Million Seniors will not vote for Obama. We remember when being President meant you had to care about the people’s problems before your own self aggrandizement. What a tasteless prick he is.

Why is it that it only resembles a “Greek temple” and not say, the south portico of the White House? I mean, Obama is running for the office of President, isn’t he? And the homes of all three branches of government, as well as many other federal buildings in DC are based on Greek revival architecture.

Sure there’s not just a liiiittle bit of “projection” going on here?

Well then he’s got it all in spades…fake presidential seal, fake WH…except that Obama didn’t learn from the last time he tried to fake something in his campaign, with that seal.

Personally I just think it resembles a typical fantasy of a Narcissist.

You cannot make this stuff up…it’s Freudian.

Obama delivers himself into the hands of SNL, RNC, Daily Show and Colbert…you cannot undersell this huge mistake…

they think this is a TV show, and they are contestants of some big game…

this is what the POTUS should do in front of the whole world…could you imagine Putin doing this???

maybe that crazy who dresses like Elvis in North Korea, but really…WTF why didn’t he just go to DISNEYLAND and announce his declaration of love??

Chain, chain, chain, chain, chain, chain
Chain, chain, chain, chain of fools
Five long years I thought you were my man
But I found out I’m just a link in your chain
You got me where you want me
I ain’t nothing but your fool
You treated me mean oh you treated me cruel
Chain, chain, chain, chain of fools.

Not exactly the music I would have chosen for the Obama coronationDem Convention. It’s a great song, but the irony is killing me.

Comment by Obama for President of Indonesia | 2008-08-28 10:31:40

Everything from the seal to the upside down flag to the songs and all the symbolism. its like there is someone inside his campaign that found out who he really is and is trying desperately to tell the public.

The Attack ads should start with Obama in all of his pomposity AT HIS GREEK TEMPLE and then a cut away showing the abandoned housing projects in Obama’s former district that he was responsible for and which he also gave Rezko ET AL $14 MILLION DOLLARS TO REHAB BUT WHICH WAS LOOTED AND THEN THE NARRATIVE” OVER 3,000 AMERICANS EVICTED FROM CONDEMNED HOUSING THAT BARACK OBAMA WAS PERSONALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR!, IS THIS OBAMA’S PLAN FOR AMERICAN HOUSING IF HE IS PRESIDENT?” “LET’S NOT RISK OUR FUTURE!” MCAIN ‘08!

Have the 527 ads started yet?

If not wake me when they do.

This is tiresome and boring.

In the meantime:

WIN WITHOUT ME!

PS

I’ll be doing a Rain Dance for the rest of tonight. Anybody want to join in? I just heard they don’t have a Plan B if it rains tomorrow.

Catherine — you speak for me. Voting McCain is the only way to assure an Obama loss. Having worked on the Hillary campaign its hard to me to believe that I will vote against the Democrats this year.

Look at all the stuff thats coming out about Obama now. Why didn’t these damn bastards at the DNC vet him before?

I don’t know about the rest of y’all but at first I thought this greek temple thing was just a joke. Earlier today when I saw the actual pictures of the stage I about fell out of my chair. This is so crass and tacky I still can’t believe this is true.

Øbama is making a mockery of our highest political office. I don’t know whether to laugh over this or cry. We’re in for a global ridiculing, if not worse, if this mentally castrated midget gets anywhere near the White House.

May our God/Goddess help us!

McCain ‘08

I love it!

I mean, of course, I do realize that Greece is the birthplace of democracy, and all the Caesar comments would make more sense if it were a *Roman* temple, but, frankly, most of the uneducated electorate don’t realize that the Areopagus was the seat of the first real representative governemant and that the rule of law replaced vengeance killing there for the very first time.

Never mind that our own democratic institutions mimic Greek architecture to evoke that power truly belongs to the people and not the kings of the world.

Despite all of that (and more) that picture of Barak with laurel leaves on his head was priceless!

It reminds me of the Che Obama shirt I saw the other day. Totally out of context and historically inaccurate, but fantastic!

Comment by Rocky Mountain High | 2008-08-28 00:41:10

The Greekish [geekish] roman temple thing is over the top. It will not go over well. He has been ridiculed for his Berlin talk as well. Imagine after all this pomp and circumstance…no bounce for Obama from the great historical convention. It’s just another horse and pony show (emulated outside of Invesco).

Unfortunately tomorrow’s weather in Denver, is clear, sunny and in the 80s. We will have to pray for more than rain to quash his speech. I hear McCain will announce his Veep tomorrow at that time. Aw, poor BO will lose a little limelight. Give me a bucket!

Comment by Rico | 2008-08-28 00:44:28

Yeah. I’m hoping he nominates Meg Whitman.

What do you think Hillaryites. If McCain named a woman as his running mate, right when the fence-sitting Hillary fans are thinking of coming back to Obama, do you think that’d sway them over to our side?

I spent quite a while last night looking around for a video clip of the part in GLADIATOR where Emperor Commodus rises out of the dirt on to the fighting field. Sounds a LOT like Emperor Obama’s rig for tonight.

Anyone know where we can find that clip? I’d love to run it side by side with tonight’s gagolicious-spectacle.

How much did this stage cost? Where did the money come from? Was it from the millions of people who gave money to help him get elected… and they use it to make a stage?Wasteful spending… at its finest.

hey uppity woman,

you’re a moron,

your whole post is predicated on a mistake.

enron didn’t have greek shite or statues peeing gin.

that’s a false statement.
–there was a tyco exec that got busted throwing a roman birthday party on Sardinia for his SO that featured an ice sculpture of David peeing vodka…

If you are going to bring history into your delusional garbage about our democratic nominee, at least get your facts straight so you don’t appear more idiotic than usual.

Comment by jrterrier | 2008-08-28 08:47:26

The saddest part of last night is the contrast between Bill and earlier Hillary and the wannabes running the party these days. If you want to know why the DEMS keep losing, you just have to contrast the current crop with Bill and Hillary. The Clintons are a class act, competent, and smart. Even Reagan’s speech writer referred to Bill as “the master.”

RepublicanChick, one of my closest friends is a hard-core Republican Chick, too, and she doesn’t even like Hillary–has always hated her, in fact! Yet she has regularly told me how appalled she has been by the media’s and DNC’s treatment of Hillary. She was also livid over the RBC’s vote theft in MI/FL — in fact she knew more about it than my Democratic friends!! (Well, she DOES watch Fox news!)

Similarly, I thought the media treatment of Mitt Romney was terribly unfair even though I don’t personally like or agree politically with the guy. Ditto for Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich who were treated as jokes even though they both had clearly thought-out positions (agree with them or not) that appealed to large numbers of people.

Thinking people are appalled by blatant unfairness and by actions that undermine democracy, whatever their political persuasion might be.

Yes, especially if it was a woman with more moderate leanings. If she’s pro-choice you would see an avalanche imo.

Hmm..yeah..Do you guys ever look at Pictures of Washington DC? The Whitehouse, Lincoln memorial and Several other structures around Washington use the same pillars. It Is also used by the Republicans

Too bad the hypocritical republican hate machine refuses to acknowledge that the stage constructed for the 2008 Virginia Republican Convention more closely resembles a greek temple.
