Joe was the only MSNBC commentator I would watch during the primary season. He treated Hillary with respect and appreciation. Mike, however, is unbearable. How did she get this job–what are her qualifications? (Besides her father’s connections). She is beyond annoying.

When Scarborough was on leave, the show became “Morning Obama”

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Wednesday shows Barack Obama and John McCain each attracting 44% of the vote for the second straight day. When “leaners” are included, though, McCain picked up another point since yesterday and now has a statistically insignificant one-point advantage over Obama, 47% to 46%

Oh, I’ve always liked Joe, even before this election: He was one of the first RW commentators to go after Bush and his anger at the Bushies during Katrina was palpable. He always lets guests with opposing views have their say and he’s funny as heck.

CLINTON’S ‘CANDIDATE X’ ANALOGY STIRS QUESTIONS ABOUT HIS OBAMA SUPPORT

Hours before former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton took center stage Tuesday night in Denver to offer words of healing for the Democratic Party, her husband was detonating what could be interpreted as another blast at presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama.

Speaking at a forum of ex-world leaders less than a mile from the site of the Democratic National Convention, Bill Clinton drew an analogy that had many wondering whether the former president had made peace with the idea of an Obama candidacy.

“Suppose for example you’re a voter and you have candidate X and you have candidate Y,” Clinton said. “Candidate X agrees with you on everything but you don’t think that person can deliver on anything. Candidate Y disagrees with you on half the issues but you believe that on the other half, the candidate will be able to deliver.”

“This is the kind of question that I predict — and this heas nothing to do with what’s going on now — but I am just saying if you look at five, 10, 15 years from now, you may actually see this delivery issue become a serious issue in Democratic debates because it is so hard to figure out how to turn good intentions into real changes in the lives of the people we represent.”

Whether Clinton, who for 20 years has been the star of the Democratic Party, intended the analogy to represent a futuristic look at presidential politics, its relevance to the current candidacies of Republican John McCain and Obama was unmistakable.

“What his strategy is to go around drumming stuff on Obama, his crazy quotes, and he’s cultivated a careful reputation for being eccentric, and therefore, Hillary is not blamed for what he does … and the result is he can go around and dump on Obama and almost be like a negative Greek chorus,” said former Clinton speechwriter and now-FOX News contributor Dick Morris.

The motive, Morris said, is “to defeat Barack Obama and make sure Hillary can get elected in 2012.”

“I don’t think the Clintons’ feelings would be hurt” if Obama lost the 2008 election, said Republican strategist Chip Saltsman.

I watched him this morning and actually heard someone say to him that he was in the tank for Hillary to which he replied…”yes, that’s true”.

Even Joe gets it that she was the REAL change this country needed.

Joe Scarborough used to be my representative in Congress. I was working for the Democratic Party at the time, and we hated Joe Scarborough. He’s often a bully and generally arrogant. I imagine it would be difficult to deal with him on a daily basis unless you are easy-going, and used to dealing with that domineering “oldest child” personality type, which clearly Mika and Willie can do, with humor and deflection.

But Joe has been fair. He’s the only show on MessNBC that I watch anymore. And, he’s OH SO RIGHT about the CHEETO-HEADS. ha, funny!

Everyone told me that Joe told off MSNBC’s (pimping out daughter) Shuster yesterday morning.

Hillary was so intelligent,

that you have to stop and ask…why ISN’T she on the ticket?

The answer can only be pettiness, idiocy and a complete lack of commitment to democratic ideals. Why would anyone vote for that?

I don’t know about anyone else, but whether I will vote for McCain depends upon who he selects as his running mate. As hard as it is, I can put aside my differences with McCain on abortion and gay rights, but only because I see McCain as genuinely committed to many other important progressive issues and I believe he is more likely to achieve positive changes with respect to those issues than BO ever could – I am convinced the BO will accomplish absolutely nothing and will cave on all the progressive issues in order to avoid friction. Plus, I think we need a balance and a left leaning president coupled with a left leaning Congress could be a disaster – and I say this even though I am left leaning. But McCain’s choice in a running mate will tell us volumes of what kind of a president he will be – will he lead down the center or will he drift right. If it is center course, then I will vote for him, if it’s leaning right, I probably won’t. But I don’t think I could ever support BO.

This is the problem I have.

I’m tired of everyone’s focus just being on Hillary. Yes, I am heartbroken she’s not the nominee, but I’ve accepted that.

Now it’s about the Democratic Party and what the leadership did. It’s not about Hillary anymore. It’s about Dean, Pelosi, Kennedy, Kerry, Reid, Brazile and the whole damn cabal.

It’s also about the msm and how they were so overtly biased against her and for 0bama. And they’re still doing it. It’s the only news they care to cover. Quiet as it’s kept, they’re not even covering 0bama anymore and haven’t been for weeks. They may not be reporting the stuff we talk about here, they’re obviously sitting on that, but they have nothing to report in terms of how 0bama is making a case for his own candidacy. He’s been in pure defense mode since Hillary’s been out of it even though he acted like he couldn’t wait till Hillary was out of the way so he could take on McCain. But once that happened, he has floundered. And he can’t blame the msm because they’ve reported nothing negative about him.

The DNC leadership gave us a lemon. But they have no sugar so we can’t even make lemonade with this guy.

They’re asking Hillary, and Bill to supply the sugar, but still want to give the Clintons and their supports attitude about it. What it boils down to is 0bama is the nominee and he has to make his own damn case as to why people should vote for him and he has to get off this guilt trip racial politics strategy because it just ain’t working.

The whole speech in the stadium with Greek columns is going to backfire. It’s going to be laughable and emphasize all the reasons why people are not voting for him. It will be Toto ripping the curtain away from the not-so powerful and mighty Oz. But even the Wizard turned a hat trick after he was exposed.

0bama thinks he’s special. The DNC and his supporters swear he’s special, too. And like parents who bore you with pictures and endless talk about their child who is no more special than yours or anybody elses, the voting public is literally rolling their eyes around in their head.

He is no different than any other candidate. He’s a politician with a dubious past that the msm and the DNC ignores. He can’t make a case for his candidacy because he doesn’t have the goods to do so. It’s all about forcing the American voter to roll over and play dead if we can’t find a reason to fawn over this man.

No amount of blaming Hillary or Bill or keeping the focus on them is going to get 0bama elected. It’s the same thing parents face when they send their kids off to school for the first time. They can’t make friends for them, they can’t live their lives for them. If the kid is special well then they have to go out into the world and prove it.

Somebody needs to explain to 0bama:

This election is his and his alone to win or lose.

If this whole election is going to boil down to Hillary, well then she should be the nominee.

I love Joe Scarborough! He was the only one that I truly enjoyed watching on MSNBC. He’s very real, unlike Keith Blubberman who can’t keep his histrionics under wraps for a bloody second! Also, he’s not bombastic like Christ Matthews!

I agree with your assessment of my favorite pundit, “Morning Joe.” I also agree with others that Mika is not only a distraction throughout the program, but is inappropriate in her fawning over EVERYONE, physically hugging, kissing astonished guests, and, in general, acting like a star-struck schoolgirl. I can only watch it with the sound off and closed caption on, and even then it is a trial to get through it.

What’s the matter with the normally astute Joe? How about the producers, aren’t they aware how tedious she is (and getting worse every day)and how embarrassing is her performance? Why don’t we send our comments on to those who make decisions, PLEASE!!!!
