Voter Registration in Denver!

Voter Registration alive and well in Denver! Several PUMA members were out and about in Denver trying to savor some of the ambiance when they were approached by a group of young people registering voters in Denver. They tried to register this group to vote — all of them are registered voters in other states. The young people never asked where they lived, only if they wanted to register to vote.
These PUMAs caught up with me in between gigs….excited and confused, they needed to tell me the story of voter registration in Denver. These ladies poliely declined to re-register but asked a question of these young people. They asked, where are these voter registration forms going….. the answer: MoveOn.org!
They have endorsed Obama and promised to mobilize their members on Obama’s behalf.
Why are voter registration forms being sent to MoveOn.org?

As a Republican woman, I will take issue with your comment. However, I have never been beholden to being a single issue voter because I’m a female. I have other concerns as do most Americans that vote.

Andrea now says that Palin has a state ethics charge hanging over her head and she was informed that the charges comes from her firing a state trooper because he beat his wife. (I think the troopers wife is/was Palin’s sister. Doesn’t matter to me because if true, she should have used her hunting rifle on his sorry ass.

The Cuyahoga County Board of Elections says it is investigating an organization that registers low-income voters after it turned up evidence of voter registration fraud.
The board doesn’t know how many fake registrations came from the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now. But the board says multiple ACORN workers often handed in voter registration cards listing the same people, but showing them living at different addresses.
The board says an ACORN quota requiring part-time workers to sign up 20 voters per five-hour shift played a role. The organization stopped the registration by the part-timers on Aug. 15.
Officials don’t expect fraudulent registrations to affect the November election because of requirements that voters must show identification at the polls. ACORN says it has registered 86,000 new voters in the Cleveland area.

It was me who was out and about walking down the 16th Street Mall of Denver when I approached one of these young men who were asking people to register to vote.
I pointed out that he didn’t have any kind of official ID indicating on whose behalf he was gathering voters. Then I asked him, “where do you take these voter registration forms to?” He answered, “MoveOn”.
Folks, this is why we must vote in mass for McCain! The obama camp is already preparing to game the system with these new registered voters.

Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., is in Dayton, Ohio, awaiting a high noon event at which the campaign has said the Republican contender will announce his running mate.

The voter fraud seems prevalent. The laws should be changed so that voter registration has to be done with ID and proof of address confirmation. That’s what was required of me when I registered at the Sec of State’s office. It’s really surprising that organizations other than Secretary of State type offices can even register voters. Wonder who passed laws that allowed this?
Here in Florida we have to show picture ID. They won’t even take voter registration cards. And wherre I was not one electronic voting machine. I think we should stand 50 feet from the poll and have a sign telling people to only use paper ballots.
In Indiana they passed a law a few years ago that you have to show photo ID to vote and they match up your signature also to the registration books they have. They don’t play games here. They said it is to avoid voter fraud. Dem’s of course cried and whined and said it would disenfranchise the poor and elderly. First of all, everyone needs to have at least a photo ID card. You need it for lots of things including cashing checks, applying for benefits, a job, etc. So their argument was stupid. They even allow people to get a photo ID free if they can’t afford the $6 fee. If you don’t have photo ID your main concern probably isn’t about voting.
