Basically Biden told Israel they will have “to get over” it, Iran is going to have a nuclear potential if Obama is the president. Biden believes that economic sanctions won’t work…..either!

Democratic vice-presidential candidate Joe Biden was quoted Monday as telling senior Israeli officials behind closed doors that the Jewish state will have to reconcile itself to a nuclear Iran.
In the unsourced report, Army Radio also quoted Biden as saying that he opposed “opening a additional military and diplomatic front.”
Biden, chairman of the powerful Senate Foreign Relations Committee, has long been considered strongly pro-Israel. His nomination as Barack Obama’s running mate had been expected to shore up the Democrats’ strength with U.S. Jewish voters.
Army Radio said Israeli officials expressed “amazement” over the remarks attributed to him.
Biden was supposed to give Obama the boost with the American Jewish community, Mr. “Foreign Relations” Biden really stepped in the poop this time. This is not what Israel wanted to hear I am certain.
“Israel will have to reconcile itself with the nuclearization of Iran,” Army Radio quoted Biden as telling the unnamed officials.
“It’s doubtful if the economic sanctions will be effective, and I am against opening an additional military and diplomatic front.”
Hot Air was very helpful. They have given us a history on Haaretz, (Note: It isn’t a conservative news reporting agency, they have nothing to lose!)
For those unfamiliar with Ha’aretz, it doesn’t exactly have a knee-jerk conservative spin. In fact, it’s at best a center-left editorial board. They’re not terribly sympathetic to the Bush administration or most of its policies. They wouldn’t have much reason to simply make this up.

If anyone doubted that an Obama presidency would surrender to radicalism and hostile forces abroad, this should clinch it. Biden has pretty much told the Israelis that they’re on their own, and America won’t bother to support them against the nutcases in the region. If Obama and Biden don’t have the courage to face Iran’s nuclear ambitions, then exactly when will they defend American interests?
And what of our Western allies? Europe wants Iranian nukes stopped just as much as we do, especially since they’re more directly threatened by them. Obama and Biden talk about bolstering our alliances, but it looks like they’re more interested in leaving them holding the bag.
And Hugh Hewitt sees this as further evidence that Obama is nothing more than the second coming of Jimmy Carter:
American supporters of Israel have to understand that Obama-Biden is a disaster for Israel’s security. It would be Carter II, but without the keen insight that Carter brought to Iran policy.
According to the The Jerusalem Post says this conversation took place three years ago while Haaertz gave us no time frame.

It isn’t important that Haaertz didn’t give us a time frame, but it should make people ask questions about an Obama/ Biden presidency and where they really stand on Israel.
Still, either way, the message is the same: Biden won’t stand up to Iran, and since Barack Obama chose him for his foreign-policy chops, one has to figure that Obama agrees. After all, Biden is the man who once proposed sending $200 million to Tehran to pacify the mullahs.

I’m getting the impression that Joe “Meet You At The Bar” Biden is purposely making gaffes.
Interesting observation. To what end would he do this?

I know there is question of Obama being allowed to be president, because his mother was only 18 when he was born (instead of the required 21), but I am also wondering about the other part of that same paragraph…

Wow! So it wasn’t just me. I saw that “kiss” he planted on Joe’s wife and I thought: “What; are you kidding me?” He did everything but stick his tongue down her throat.

What would be the point of this loss? How would it serve the purposes of the current DNC? I had heard awhile back, during the time of the May 31 RBC meeting, that they were prepared to lose and that was okay, but I can’t figure how it advances the cause.
My understanding is that they told Hillary they don’t care about winning the Presidency they just want Obambi’s money and youth vote to win the downticket seats. That way they can continue to pretend they are the good guys working against the bad guy Republican president. You know, can’t end the war because of the veto, etc…in reality Pelosi and company are complicit in the war crimes. And this is the very reason I am voting a straight Republican ticket for the first time in my life.

The “kids” don’t vote downticket, number 1. The DNC is toast in their fund raising — as is 0bama currently — and thus no money is going downticket. I am not sure that this theory holds up.
I don’t think the DNC wants to appear “responsible” for the next four years. Financial disaster lurks around the corner for our country. Anyone on the housingbubbleblog for the last few years knew a bubble burst and credit crunch was imminent. Biden and ilk sure as hell knew, as they pushed that bankruptcy law in 2005.
At the same time, the DNC wants to appear to be the progressive Big Tent. So they select Obama thinking this will placate a number of factors. Unfortunately for them, they have no spines, no leadership capabilities and no vision and the entire debacle will backfire. I am tired of public servants who do nothing but serve themselves.

Now a possible “long play” that may actually have started at the demise of the Soviet Union does show itself to be awakening. He collects personal information on his supporters, very detailed as to their political history. Demographics spelled out for targeting candidates to those regions. A current voter census.
It just might be why they have purposefully burned every single bridge behind them without any care.

I heard on FOX that Rev Wright is at it again, apparently he made some statement at some service he was giving.
He said Michelle Obama would be the first time a black woman was “legally” sleeping in the White House.
