It Ain’t the Whitey Tape, But . . .

bumped up from last night by SusanUnPC

Don’t think the Republicans are loaded for bear to go after Barack? Well, what do you do when an addled old man outs your past ties to radical muslims? So Khalid al-Mansour was your sugar daddy? This bombshell comes courtesy of Percy Sutton, the former borough president of Manhattan, who describes his first encounter with the young Obama.

“I was introduced to (Obama) by a friend who was raising money for him,” Sutton told NY1 city hall reporter Dominic Carter.

“The friend’s name is Dr. Khalid al-Mansour, from Texas,” Sutton said. “He is the principal adviser to one of the world’s richest men. He told me about Obama.”

Here’s the video:

No big deal? Well, consider this.

Khalid Al Mansour is bad, bad news for Barack. Guess what? Jeremiah Wright ain’t the only batshit crazy minister in Barack’s past. Check this out–you Jews are a bunch of land grabbing thieves:

Yep, change you can believe in. So who is Khalid al Mansour? Newsmax has the story (and yes, they may be a rightwing site and the author of the story attacks me in a separate book, but truth is truth):

A graduate of Howard University with a law degree from the University of California, al-Mansour sits on numerous corporate boards, including the Saudi African Bank and Chicago-based LaGray Chemical Co. LaGray, which was formed to do business in Africa, counts former Nigerian President General Abdusalam Abubakar on its advisory board.

He also sits on the board of the non-profit African Leadership Academy, along with top McCain for President adviser Carly Fiorina, and organized a tribute to the President of Ghana at the Clinton White House in 1995, along with pop star Michael Jackson.

But his writings and books are packed with anti-American rhetoric reminiscent of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Obama’s disgraced former pastor.

In a 1995 book, “The Lost Books of Africa Rediscovered,” he alleged that the United States was plotting genocide against black Americans.

The first “genocide against the black man began 300 years ago,” he told an audience in Harlem at a book-signing, while a second “genocide” was on the way “to remove 15 million Black people, considered disposable, of no relevance, value or benefit to the American society.”

In the 1960s, when he founded the African American Association in the San Francisco Bay area, he was known as Donald Warden.

According to the Social Activism Project at the University of California at Berkley, Warden, a.k.a. Khalid al-Mansour, was the mentor of Black Panther Party founder Huey Newton and his cohort, Bobby Seale.

So, let me get this straight–a Black Panther paves Barack’s way to Harvard and a former member of the Weather Underground (and unrepentant terrorist) Bill Ayers names him to Chair the board of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge. What other shoes are going to drop?

What? There’s a video? But that video is a conspiracy theory.

By the way, I am joking and have a great deal of admiration for you. I kinda worked with you guys in the military if you know what I mean.

I agree with you. When it comes to National Security Obama will be a disaster.

I don’t think we need to worry about them anymore. Starting tonight everyone’s in this race and they all know we don’t need those Web 2.0 polls anymore. Grin grin grin.

Comment by Leisa | 2008-09-03 22:40:37

Yeah, those polls at cnn are something…

I loved listening to Wolf and Cafferty (Sp?) brag about how they were the “most watched” channel(and so most respected election news source) for the DNC convention… Wolf looked like a little boy trying to be a good Boy Scout and sour puss Cafferty called Fox news the f word channel… What a bunch of maroons I thought as I changed the channel.

Comment by jcm | 2008-09-03 23:17:05

In the CNN commentary. after Sarah’s speech, Gloria Borger said “and my.. she was going to refer to the Dems. and she got stopped by I think it was Cooper who said “they’re not yours” and she quickly shut up and looked down sheepishly. Not that it wasn’t obvious when ever she opens her mouth where her bias is.
However was nice to see her show herself.

Comment by Terri | 2008-09-04 09:13:10

CNN and for that matter the rest of the cable news channels should know that if we had a real television news alternative they would have no ratings. They are so offensive to the “news” that many are already tuning out. Democracy Now, CSPAN and the internet is where most tune in for news but I still keep one of those muted cable news shows on in the background in my office for breaking news. I’m hoping to break that bad habit as to not add to their ratings.

Republicans lie to pollsters, too. Give the enemy the information you want him to believe, especially when it’s a far left, pandering liar like Obama. He will adopt you position, if the polls look favorable. So keep him on his message by keeping him in the dark. Let him get over-confident, so he has no idea what’s in store for him in November.

OMG. Rudy Gulliani is cleaning the OBAMAS clock tonight

Comment by BernieO | 2008-09-03 23:03:27

I thought his speech sounded really mean-spirited. Palin did a much better job of sticking to Obama because she came across as resolute while Rudy came across as a smart-ass. In my opinion.

I really liked it when Palin made the crack about being a mayor of a small town being kind of like being a community organizer. I am so tired of the condescending attitude of so many in Washington to people from flyover land. I am still convinced that that was why the DC insiders hated Bill Clinton. He was a hick. And Jimmy Carter was just an ol’ peanut farmer. What a bunch of snots!

I think my most favorite moment of the night was when Andrea Mitchell asked Rudy what he thought of her speech and pointed out that he is a professional speaker. Palin made him look like an amateur. For example when the crowd got excited he didn’t just pause and let them, he made awkward statements. She had much better timing and delivery.

Comment by Zeke | 2008-09-04 03:31:57

Bernay…
Rudy’s speech was supposed to be mean spirited. The whole thing was set that way in what seems, to my memory of previous Conventions on both sides, like the normal way of it.
Before the main act, you bring out someone who you relate to whose opinion you appreciate who can chew on as much Opposition ass as he likes, and cut him loose.
I cannot say that exposing the shortcomings of a person whose first thought of scruples is whether or not the euro had replaced them, who is a proven liar (and that, sadly, is one of his lesser shortcomings) really counts as mean spirited.
By his being the bad cop, Sarah can come in, say her piece and defend herself, and then turn on the good cop at the end. Its a nice play but not uncommon.
I seem to remember Ronald Reagan stepping into Rudy’s role once… The Great Communicator killed that night.
This was solid by Rudy but he didn’t steal any thunder from the ‘Cuda.
To quote Samuel Morse, “·– ···· ·- – ···· ·- – ···· –· — -·· ·– ·-· — ··- –· ···· – ··–·· “

Comment by Jackie | 2008-09-04 08:52:09

Rudy is a smart ass that is why we love him. LOL

However Sarah is an Iron Fist in a Velvet Glove. She has such polish and poise and she is so smooth until the punch connects, whoa!!!!

I am so proud of Governor Palin. It gives hope to my daughters (21 & 10)I never thought in my life that the GOP would have such a together woman on a national ticket.

Thank-you Congresswoman Ferraro and Thank-you Hillary Clinton.

Go SARAH!

Comment by Terri | 2008-09-04 09:28:17

I never thought as a proud feminist and liberal that I would feel the same way. Although I don’t agree with the rnc platform I do believe the presidency can trancends party politics. It’s good to have a balance of power, we see the arrogance on both sides when one party gets to much power. I think both McCain and Palen will be able to work with a dnc congress and avoid gridlock while at the same time giving some oversight. They both have passion and as a woman you have to respect for both her intelligence and grit although I do wish it was Hillary making the history. We truly need a third party.

Than he was mentored for over twenty yrs, using Soetoro’s wording his “Uncle Frank.” A confirmed Marxist and bisexual. He is a confused man-as he stated in his book. I can flat guarantee that Governor Palin spent less time prepping for her speech than the anointed one.

He paracticed and practiced and choreoraphed and rewrote and then had professional writers cut up to an hour out of it (thanks God).

Mrs Palin had from last Thursday to make campaign stops as the writers scrambled to write a speech for her. SHE helped make tweaks and tended to her kids. And she Rocked the house FOR REAL.

And when the lights come up today she is a who lot stonger. ANd Obama looks a whole lot less presidential.

How sad this is, how they believe someone, who dont care about them in first place, who they dont know. How sad it is, that those young and naive people fallow someone, who they dont know. Palin co-wrote her speech which is more than the Manchurian Candidate could do.

Percy Sutton;”A Weekend at Bernies” the guy did not blink for 30 seconds.

Percy Sutton has a storied past, an Interesting person. Who was that wealthy man?

Khalid al Mansour; Does he have any connections to Auchi’s micro-lending bank that Auchi open in the last year in Nigera?
(it might not be Nigeria Sudan?, need my notes)

But in the lengthy interview, al-Mansour confirmed that he frequently spoke on university campuses, including Columbia, where Percy Sutton suggested he met Obama in the late 1980s, and confirmed his close relationship with Prince Alwaleed.

(NewsMax link)

What is Ayers relationship and past with Khalid Abdullah Tariq al-Mansour?
Columbia U was quite the spot for meeting seedy intellectuals.

Whoever wanted Palin to pause for staged boos needs to take a back seat. It is diminishing her potential message for reform.

Those weren’t staged boos, and btw the Dems booed, too. But Republicans enjoy it more. Divisive politics are fun; it’s called healthy competition.

The Republicans were very gracious congratulating Obama on his historic candidacy. They made it clear it was nothing personal; he’s just your typical snobbish tax-and-spend big city liberal.

Obama could not be as classy. He started complaining about Sarah Palin’s speechwriters – for the record, he has had Bush speechwriters working for him from the beginning of his campaign – and he is interviewing with Bill O’Reilly while McCain accepts his nomination.

Obama won’t talk about his years in New York, or how he supported himself. did al-Mansour pay for Columbia College? Did al-Mansour pay for Harvard? Although Sutton does not specify a date in the video, this would likely have been in 1988 when the 27-year-old Obama was applying to Harvard Law. Two years later, while still a law student, Obama improbably received an advance to write a memoir that would be called “Dreams From My Father” which finally was published in 1995. Some people are suspicious about the theory that publishers had sought out Obama, still an unknown, with contract in hand. Why would a publisher pay an unknown writer a hefty advance? And if ghostwritten, would his publisher have invested the fee needed to rescue the project after four years of amateurish dithering, a dithering that also included an extended stay for Barack and Michelle on Bali? The whole book story smells of purposeful intervention by someone, like al-Mansour.

Comment by NoBamaNoWay | 2008-09-04 04:05:34

WAS JOE BIDEN VETTED?

#1.Ashley Blazer Biden, the daughter of Sen. Joseph R. Biden Jr. (D-Del.) was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of obstructing a police officer outside a Chicago bar in 2002.

#2.A son and a brother of Sen. Joseph R. Biden Jr. (D-Del.) are accused in two lawsuits of defrauding a former business partner and an investor of millions of dollars in a hedge fund deal that went sour, court records show.

The Democratic vice presidential candidate’s son Hunter, 38, and brother James, 59, assert instead that their former partner defrauded them by misrepresenting his experience in the hedge fund industry and recommending that they hire a lawyer with felony convictions.

The legal actions have been playing out in New York State Supreme Court since 2007, and they focus on Hunter and James Biden’s involvement in Paradigm Companies LLC, a hedge fund group. Hunter Biden, a Washington lobbyist, briefly served as president of the firm.

A lawsuit filed by their former partner Anthony Lotito Jr. asserts in court papers that the deal was crafted to get Hunter Biden out of lobbying because his father was concerned about the impact it would have on his bid for the White House. Biden was running for the Democratic nomination at the time the suit was filed.

Hunter Biden was made president with an annual salary of $1.2 million, despite his inexperience in the hedge fund industry, the lawsuit said. Before that, he had been part of the Washington law firm Oldaker, Biden & Belair, which earned $1.76 million in lobbying revenue in the first half of 2006, according to Congressional Quarterly’s CQ MoneyLine. One of its biggest clients is the National Association of Shareholder and Consumer Attorneys, a District-based group representing law firms specializing in investment and corporate law.

What is the Difference…Obamas Friend William Ayers attacked some of the same Places the 9/11 Terrorists did..Whats the Difference..??

Would the News media ignore Obamas terrorist Association if Ayers was an Arab and a Muslim..

An American Government HATING Terrorist and BOMBER..is still a TERRORIST..There is No Difference between OSMA….AlQuada ..The 9/11 Terrorists and Obamas Friend and Associate WILLIAM AYERS..

How can they Promote Obama for President of the United States..and Commander in Chief..??

How can someone like that even get a Security Clearance..??

Comment by jbjd | 2008-09-04 11:17:38

…because the DNC is a private club and not a governmental actor. This is why the DNC’s decision to ignore votes didn’t trigger either lawsuits or government intervention. Get it? However, voters in every state enacted laws entitling the name of the nominee of the Democratic Party, as chosen at its nominating convention, to be placed on the general election ballot. And these laws can be revoked. (After all, we don’t automatically print the name of the Libertarian or Green Party candidate on the ballot.)

Comment by Beowulf | 2008-09-04 01:26:43

Obama and his amazing technicolor O-bots (a reference to Jesus Christ Superstar, not the color of his skin, *tsk, tsk*) all claim Obama to be some great and brilliant Harvard Law School Journal editor, who managed the impressive feat of graduating magna cum laude. (Of course, only summa cum laude is a higher achievement.)

Bullshit!

1. Obama never published an article which was customary to the journal’s editors. It takes real brain power to publish a technical article in that most prestigious of student journals.

2. Obama’s predecessor (preceding editor, a conservative Asian guy if I recall correctly) has openly hinted Obama got the job out of a kind of “affirmative action”. Whatever the case, it was certainly by an early and peculiar form of “operation chaos” by the rightwing students of the law school. That is, there were two major candidates for the job, both were white. At the last minute, the conservatives knew they were gonna lose, so they threw their support behind the seemingly likeable “black guy”, i.e. a tolken vote. The liberal white guy who lost was actually more fiery and outspoken than Obama–by a mile, and then some.

In the past, prior to Obama’s arrival at Harvard, the editorship of the student law journal generally went to the student with the highest grades. This was not the case by the time of Obama’s tenure.

3. Obama got B’s in high school and won’t release his grades from Columbia. Nor will he release his grades from Occidental College. There’s only one reason why Obama won’t release his grades from Columbia and Occidental: It means he got into Harvard (and Columbia) on Affirmative Action. Recall also that Obama Sr. also went to Harvard, which Means Obama Jr. is also a legacy. An underrepresented minority and a legacy–that’s two HUGE advantages!

4. While it is true that Harvard Law School grades its papers “blind” (where names are not put on the test itself, but rather on numbered envelopes containing the correspondingly numbered tests which the instructor supposedly grades the test not knowing the identity of the student), this does not necessarily mean Obama actually earned the magna cum laude graduating status he was given.
a. The Ivy League, including Harvard, is notorious for inflating grades.
b. All grad schools in general perform grade inflation. A “C” in most grad schools is realy an “F”.
c. Imagine what it would be happen to Harvard Law School’s lofty street cred if their student journal editor, who was traditionally the top scholar did not graduate magna cum laude?!?

IT IS SIMPLY NOT AN OPTION.

EVEN A MORE MODEST BUT RESPECTABLE CUM LAUDE GRADUATION STATUS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE FOR THE GUY WHO IS SUPPOSED TO BE THE LAW SCHOOL’S TOP DOG.

5. As a “civil rights attorney” Obama never argued a single case. He worked full time for 4 years and another 4 years part time where he basically did the work of a 1st for 2nd year junior lawyer. That is, he did bureaucratic paperwork requiring the minimum of legal expertise and experience. Hillary, on the other hand, was voted one of the top 50 lawyers in the country, participating in the Watergate hearings, and numerous cases on the civil rights of women and children.

6. Obama has told so many whoppers where he brazenly pads his resume. One such instance surrounds his repeated claims of being a University of Chicago law professor. BULLSHIT. Obama is technically a law professor, but in reality, he was nothing more than a lowly teaching instructor. There’s a HUGE difference in power, salary, perks, intellectual prowess, intellectual achievement, etc., between a mere teaching instructor and a full tenured professor at any university, much less that of the lofty Univ. of Chicago.

Take the above points in their collective totality, and one simply canNOT possibly believe Obama actually graduated “magna cum laude” without actually seeing his graded papers. Put is this way: There’s no way in HELL all the other editors who preceded or those who followed Obama were so utterly UNaccomplished w.r.t. legal and intellectual accomplishments. NO WAY. Such accomplished people go on to have stellar legal carreers, whether they enter politics or not.

Obama’s achievements are purely in politics, namely ruthless politics (vis-a-vis the brutal backstabbing of Alice Palmer) and divisive race-baiting (vis-a-vis Hillary). He also beat Alan “Uncle Tom” Keys, who’s one of the biggest jokes in American politics. Not much to brag about, if you think about it.

His other big achievement is his two national best autobiographical sellers, which were really just both works of self-glorifying fiction rather than fact. But writing such works requires the talent of a Hollywood screenwriter and nothing more. He is no Faulkner. He is no Toni Morrison.

P.S. I’m was pro-Affirmative Action. I still am pro-Affirmative Action. I will always be pro-Affirmative Action. After all, white women are the biggest beneficiaries of Affirmative Action, despite the ever present glass ceiling that hangs over them, as it does for most minority groups. Of course, women benefit from Affirmative Action in the sense of justice, rather than quotas; this can easily be seen in the fundamental fact that women achieve higher grades than men in both high school and college.

If Affirmative Action was taken away there would be rampant racism and sexism within both the work place, college admissions, government contracts, etc.

Whites, in particular white males, who fret over Affirmative Action are just stupid. Really stupid. Royally stupid. Such morons should not be worried about a few blacks and Hispanics who supposedly “steal” their jobs or positions at elite schools and so on, because the real threat to them comes from the bottomless pits of cheap labor, namely China (manufacturing jobs), India (high tech, H-1B visas), and Mexico (illegals). Women who achieve higher grades, and in particular native born minorities are truly the least of their concerns.

The GOP of course always run, i.e. race-baits, on the Affirmative Action issue, gets into power, and then sends jobs overseas.

But then again, Obama out-race-baits the GOP, and then some.

The issue of Affirmative Action is important w.r.t. Obama because:

i. I’m adamantly pro-Affirmative Action–but not for the presidency of the United States. Who the hell would be?

ii. Obama and his wife repeatedly played the race card, often hinting that the Clinton camp, Geraldine Ferraro was alluding to it.

iii. Obama and his O-bots keep repeating the mantra about how he’s the super “brilliant” former Harvard Law Journal editor.

iv. Obama ruthlessly defeated an eminently more qualified woman by his incessant race-baiting, gender-baiting, as well as character assassination.

All of this makes Affirmative Action a profoundly relevant issue.

Comment by NoBamaNoWay | 2008-09-04 04:29:55

good info; i think obama’s been milking affirm.action for a long time. no doubt that’s why he doesn’t want his grades released.

They will just have to get over it.

If not, they can walk backwards 30 feet, turn and run forward at full speed, leap in the air, perform a triple flip with 1.5 twists and disappear up their own asses.

“I for one do not believe Obama graduated Harvard magna cum laude anything, I think this is another one of rhis hyped fictional stories about himself.”

Actually, graduating Magna cum laude from Harvard Law is the one thing I do believe about Senator Obama’s background. I have a j.d., cum laude and one thing I learned in law school, the only way to upgrade it to magna cum laude is to possess two skills: backstabbing and brown nosing. Senator Obama excels with both skills.

Just because BO graduated from Harvard Law School magna cum laude doesn’t mean he had a high GPA. It just means that after subtracting the students who graduated summa cum laude, of the remaining students, he graduated in the top 10% of his class. Theoretically, he could have had a C average. http://www.law.harvard.edu/ocs/employers/HLS_Grading_System.htm

And Harvard has a well-documented history of inflating grades.

(My ‘blue collar’ law school had no grades, just pass/fail; but our bar passage rate in the state was second only to Harvard.)

I’m still trying to figure out if Khalid Al-Mansour the preacher is the same as Dr. Khalid Abdullah Tariq Al-Mansour, the international attorney, businessman, author, teacher and advisors to Saudi princes. In my googling, I found this:

A press release for La Gray Chemical Company (founded by two Chicago chemists, the company manufactures AIDS, Malaria and hypertension drugs in Ghana for African nations) describes Al-Mansour as: “Khalid Abdullah Tariq Al-Mansour, a widely respected expert, author and speaker on, among other topics, Africa’s economic challenges. Al-Mansour advises an African economic development organization called New Partnerships for African Development. He also directs an initiative that seeks out Africans and African-Americans who are entrepreneurially inclined and committed to the continent. At no cost to Graham and Lartey, Al-Mansour has thrown his full support behind LaGray, and is rallying friends — including Fortune 500 ceos and Shaquille O’Neal — to gift financial support to the company.”

This Al-Mansour is known to raise money for his pet projects, it’s possible in the late 80’s, Senator Obama became one of his pet projects. Would the nutty preacher in the above video have Fortune 500 CEOs as friends, sit on boards with Carly Fiorina and organize Clinton White House tributes for the President of Ghana? Would the nutty preacher have the kind of friends who would write recommendations to Harvard Law for young men they’ve never met and invest money in a drug company?

There is a review of a speech given by a Dr. Khalid Al-Mansour in Capetown in 1990 where the writer Peter Hammond states: “As I attended their Wednesday, 24 October, rally in the Good Hope Centre, Cape Town, I was surprised by the extremism of Dr. Al-Mansour. Seldom has it been my misfortune to endure such a loud illogical stream of venom from a public speaker. Al-Mansour must have been an embarrassment to all sane Muslims. Not that Christians don’t have some similar fanatics disgracing our podiums with hysteria and unsubstantiated drivel. But this American Muslim (described as a Californian lawyer, banker, businessman and activist) went beyond all extremes in his outrageous statements.”

http://www.frontline.org.za/news/vol%202%201990/JihadAgainstChristianity.htm

While I’m having a difficult time wrapping my cute little head around the nutty preacher and the guy who is sitting on boards, soliciting funds for a chemical company, organizing White House tributes as the same person, it appears from this video of Khalid Tariq Al-Mansour discussing his book “The Birth and Death of Christianity”, they are:

http://tinyurl.com/5u8c7x

Okay, Al-Mansour is a Jekyll Hyde type. He rewrites the history of the world. Maybe he rewrote Senator Obama’s personal history too because he wants to do more in the White House than organize tributes for presidents from Ghana.

Scary.

All we can do is keep the list fresh and hope the sheer weight of it crushes him.

Comment by Monet | 2008-09-04 06:32:33

And here’s another onion layer.

I decided to google Peter Hammond since everything else I’d read about Dr. Al-Mansour listed attributes that didn’t mesh with the videos of the nutty preacher Al-Mansour. Mr. Hammond is a South African controversial right-wing Christian who dislikes gays, lesbians, muslims, Halloween and a pro-gun lobbyist. Two years ago charges were brought against him for taking his children out on Halloween to shoot paint balls at Trick or Treaters. It seems Mr. Hammond doesn’t like pagan holidays or something.

Several years ago he was arrested in Sudan for gun running.

A few years ago he co-authored “The Pink Agenda: The Ruin of the Family.” The South Africa deemed the book was unsuitable for children under age 18 because it came close to hate speech.

http://www.mask.org.za/article.php?cat=&id=569

From Mr. Hammond’s writings:

“Christians are not doomed to defeat, but called to victory. If God can actually change us, then He can use us to change some part of this world. Christians can change the course of human history by prayer and obedience to God. The Bible is full of example of believers “who through faith conquered kingdoms…” Hebrews 11:33 and recent history confirms the power of prayer (Here are some examples from The Power of Prayer Handbook):

Shortly after I was converted to Christ early in 1977, I remember a missionary from Overseas Missionary Fellowship urging us to pray for God to open the doors to Red China. Even as we prayed my heart was filled with unbelief – how could a Communist country like China ever be open to the Gospel again? Yet, we have seen Mao Tse Tung die, his little “Red Book” discredited and the doors to China have gradually opened since. Not that China is at all free – the brutal massacres of thousands of unarmed civilians in Peking’s Tianamen Square have shown that Communism is still in control in China.”

“Pray that the persecutors of the church may be exposed and opposed. Pray that the persecutors may be brought to repentance, or that they may be removed. Pray that the persecutors may fall into the traps that they have dug for others, that their declarations may come back to haunt them, and that their actions against God’s people be exposed, confounded and confused.”

Why is it the deeper I dig into Senator Obama, the more nutcase extremists I find? Mr. Hammond isn’t connected to Senator Obama other than through a six degree of separation thingy. But still, as we expose the Senator’s background, the more confounded and confused I become.

Is Dr. Al-Mansour the respected expert, author, speaker, attorney, etc. who hangs out with Fortune 500 CEOs and at the White House on even days and on odd days the nutty, extremist preacher who attracts other nutty extremists who denounce him? If he’s this Jekyll and Hyde, why would Sutton mention him? What am I missing here? Where’s the puzzle piece that fits?

Another nutcase extremist backing Senator Obama wouldn’t surprise me. One that has manipulated his rise to presidential candidate wouldn’t surprise me. But something isn’t meshing here for me. There’s something off here. Maybe it’s a great conspiracy to send us all off on a goose chase to prove we’re nuts so no one will take us seriously. But that’s not fitting here either. Did Sutton have the name wrong?

About the only thing I’m sure of is that as we try out different puzzle pieces, I’m going to be introduced to even more nutcase extremists that I didn’t know existed. I’m beginning to understand the phrase that ignorance is bliss. Unfortunately, the DNC has given us a candidate where we can’t afford the luxury of bliss.

Comment by ritamary | 2008-09-04 10:05:44

Jeremiah Wright guaranteed Obama would lose.

William Ayers guaranteed Obama would not just lose, but be vilified and humiliated.

Khalid al-Mansour is guaranteeing that the rest of the democratic party is likely to pay a high price for being so stupid as to allow Obama to be the nominee.

But Palin…..Palin will make democrats happy they lost.

I could make a crass comment about how outclassed the republicans have the democrats. But, the truth is, the democrats have decided to betray our country and attempt to sell us out to evil muslim fascists. While the republicans have decided that they need to represent both their republican constituents AND those who normally vote democrat.

The DNC has had lots of problems since Clinton lost his mind during his second term and became so corrupt. But not until this year has it been so bad that the DNC wasn’t even a legitimate party anymore. Clinton lost more than the nomination. She lost the honor and viability of the party.

That’s a problem. And unless Clinton can take back control of the DNC and only if she chooses to reform it, we are looking at the dissolution of the democratic party over this.

Comment by Beowulf | 2008-09-04 05:20:56

LOL, that $70 million Ken Starr investigation says a lot more about Starr, the GOP, and the corporate media than it does about Bill Clinton.

And for you information, the Clinton Admin was one of the most honest, least corrupt, least indicted, least convicted admins of all time–certainly of last 100 years.

Hint: IKE, JFK, LBJ, FDR, Jefferson, Washington, Franklin, etc. all had affairs. There are many sex scandal rumors about Reagan, Bush41, Bush43, McCain, etc. Harry Truman couldn’t run for his second full term because of a corruption scandal. Reagan wss trading arms for hostages, on top of supporting religious freedom fighters in Afghanistan against the Soviets. Ever heard of bin Laden? Or how about Nixon and Watergate?

Corruption was so much worse in the past than it is in modern times, than it is now. And repeat: The Clinton admin was one of the most honest of all time, contrary to corporate media mythology.

You’re obviously suffering from “out of sight is out of mind” disease.

P.S. To “liberal media” is nothing more than corporate media. To say the mainstream media is liberal is like saying MTV is liberal. No. They are simply wolves in sheeps clothing. When MTV started out, it was run by the kids. Kids love music and back then, MTV was about music. But then the “suits” took over and MTV quickly degenerated into a cesspoll of bleeped-out profanity and blurred-out nudity. Liberals fight for more openness and less censorship; the suits then take these hard fought victories solely for the purpose of making a buck.

There are a some of true liberals working within the corporate media such as that douchebag Keith “get a shovel” Olbermann and Bob “I see Dicks!” Herbert. And there are even more of those moderates and psuedo-liberals too of the Chris Matthews variety. But ultimately, they don’t decide what is to be covered or not covered.

If you want to see liberal media, go to Canada or Europe. US mainstream media is nothing more than corporate media that obsesses over black crime (racist scapegoating) and garbage of the Britney, Lindsay, Paris variety. They simply exist to put forth fear-mongering and titillating garbage, both of which are nothing more than opiates, or crack if you prefer, for the masses.

Comment by Perry Logan | 2008-09-04 06:01:13

Good point about the honesty of the Clinton Administration, Beowolf.

The media has brainwashed most Americans into thinking the Clinton administration was corrupt in some way. But the precise opposite is true.

In point of fact, the much-maligned Clinton Administration had the fewest number of convictions and forced resignations of any administration of the 20th Century. That’s a fairly objective measure of corruption.

By this measure, the Clinton Administration was the cleanest two-term Presidential administration since Teddy Roosevelt.

The most corrupt admnistration of the century was Ronald “Death Squad” Reagan’s. The Reagan gang would sometimes rack up more convictions and forced resignations in a single day than the Clinton folks managed in their entire eight years!

Death toll estimates for things like slavery done centuries or even millenia ago are pretty dicey at best. That said, it’s quite plausible, indeed quite likely, that the Arabs enslaved and killed more Sub-saharan Africans than Europeans. Why? Because they’ve were doing it since the time of the ancient Egyptians at least, and they live right next door to each other. Proximity is everything, which is why “good fences make good neighbors”.

By comparison, the transatlantic slave trade lasted about 300 years only.

Louis Farrakhan gives some crazy estimate like 600 MILLION. Naturally, he overlooks the key roll played by Africans themselves. Africans most certainly did enslave themselves for millenia. This in no way excuses the paramount role of whites (w.r.t. the transatlantic slave trade), but it should at the very least be foot noted. Why? Because for instance, it gives a little insight into things like that horrific Hutu’s vs Tutsi’s genocide of the 1990’s wherein 800,000 people were literally hacked to death.

Europeans themselves were enslaved by the Arabs for millenia and as late the 1700’s by the North African Corsairs, i.e. pirates. One estimate on the Corsair’s enslavement of Europeans puts the figure at an astounding 2 MILLION! Eastern Europeans were also enslaved by the Mongol hordes back in Ghenghis Khan’s time. And of course, Europeans enslaved themselves during pre-Christian times.

At any rate sir, I should caution you to discuss such topics very carefully and thoroughly. A disproportionate emphasis of one set of facts over another set of facts is simply cherrypicking, which is nothing more than a form of lying.

Context is everything:

1. Given anything, to figure it out, one must first identify the proper context to which it belongs.
2. Next, you must look at all the facts.
3. As in Animal Farm, all animals (facts) are equal (true), but some are more equal (more important) than others.

That is, to figure out context, enumerate all the facts, then weigh each and every one accordingly.

Once that is done, the answer easily drops out, not unlike how you pinch a loaf on the John each and every morning. Ew…

But then again, figuring out the context to anything can very often be very difficult. :- /

Thank you for this great post on the history of slavery throughout the world over the last 3,000 years.

Humans are like animals. They have to destroy each other, while at the same time, need to feel victory over something, somebody, some place.

Today, humans are being “enslaved” by “job employment” that is restrictive, controlling, sometimes demeaning, sometimes uplifting, sometimes rewarding, sometimes punishing and sometimes destructive to the cause of human beings across this world.

No matter, the day will come when humans no longer have the desire to do these evil things to each other. Granted, that may be a long time away, maybe some 350,000 years into the future, when the animal nature of human beings is subsumed to the divine and spiritual nature.

As I read this Dr. Khalid is far more interesting he also wrote a book The Challenges Of Spreading Islam In America and another book Americans Beware! The Zionist Plot Agnst.S.Arabia. He wrote lots of books. Americans Beware! The Zionist Plot Agnst.S.Arabia.

I agree with Ghost up-thread!
The American people are facing a far greater threat than an older McCain.
I think there are people behind this “covert operative” who are trying to wrest control of our government for their purposes…and WE are not going to like it!
I still think the comment “we are the ones we have been waiting for” is telling!
This man CANNOT be elected!!!

Comment by s. hall | 2008-09-04 12:00:54

sassy so what we must do is ignore the media and their stinkin polls. They are already cheating for the GE so we must VOTE in such huge numbers that there will be no doubt about the outcome of this election. What I saw last night convinced me that the Republicans love this country and they are not involved in this cabal which consists of the MSM, the DNC and the corporate whores. God only knows what part the middle east has in all this and I hope we never have to find out. But a dead giveaway for me is Obama’s utter hatred of women and the demeaning way he treats them. Those who wear blinders now might end up wearing burkas later.

The problem of letting money arbitrate politics has become critical. Why not let the Saudi’s buy our government? Everyone else is getting in on the auction. There’s one phrase in the Declaration of Independence that keeps coming to my mind.

Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed–

So Sutton wrote a letter to Harvard that 0bama was a genius…but he never met him. It’s just another part of the grand illusion marketing plan of 0bama.

Where are the noble leaders? Surely there are some in America somewhere.

Comment by wodiej | 2008-09-04 10:55:21

I would have never voted for anyone w no experience like Obama. But I feel the same way….why would anyone support someone for President who sat in a racist, American hating church for 20 years?? No one in Obama’s camp of Kool Aid drinkers will answer that. They’re friggin’ pathetic. We keep hearing about all of these shady associations. The Repub’s either know it or will and I believe they will win in November.

Comment by Johnny at Work | 2008-09-04 11:16:15

How can someone that has friends like this be POTUS material? WTF is wrong with this country?

How can the MSM continue to ignore this anti-American circle surrounding the history of the ZERO?

Dr. Khalid al-Mansour, James Cone, Farrakhan, Jeremiah Wright, William Ayers, and on and on.

I thought the country lost it’s collective mind when it elected W Bush. TWICE! But this, Obambi and his list of compatriots is un-friggin real. W Bush is a Saint by comparison.

I will NEVER return to the Democratic Party for forcing this crap on this country. NEVER.

Comment by s. hall | 2008-09-04 12:04:36

Johnny if this guy gets in you may never get to vote again. A while back I read that he thinks we have too many elections and it confuses people. Obama would be a lifer and Democracy would be a distant memory.

Comment by The Ghost | 2008-09-04 13:57:01

Remember one thing, once haven taken the Oath of Office, a POTUS has the power to declare martial law, declare that he is pardoned forever, declare whatever it is he wants to declare.

Remember, BHO VOTED for the FISA…and he probably figured it would be good to use against the nation.

He has given “signals” that are too weird, too strange for an american who says he loves this country.

I am beginning to think that THIS is the man behind the curtain, THIS is who he is beholden to. We cannot have a president beholden to a man like this. The Obama supporters I personally know also happen to have long histories of being a judges of character.

The hate and bile you spew only points back at you and identifies you as the racists you are. Do you remember the issues? Doesn’t appear so. If all you have is character assassination, you’re the ciphers. Why not just end the hypocrisy and own up to the fact that you just can’t vote for the uppity negro? You’ll all feel so much better.

Comment by misstickly | 2008-09-04 12:46:51

“Why not just end the hypocrisy and own up to the fact that you just can’t vote for the uppity negro?”

You are right, I can’t vote for this “uppity negro” (your words, not mine) because he obfuscates who he is.

Comment by Michael Gordon | 2008-09-04 17:05:30

So…the media and blogosphere has to lay off McCain and Palin because he was a P.O.W. and she’s a hockey mom, but this blog, which ostensibly began as THE support site for HRC, can post the most obstreperous nonsense without proof.

Give me a break! NoQuarter has become the number one character assassination site on the web. Get over yourselves. HRC fought the “good fight” and lost. She’s come to terms with it, and so should you.

It’s the economy, stupid! Remember that old saw? Well, it’s baaaack, and Grampy McSame and Sarah Barracuda have no answer. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Comment by Hope Floats | 2008-09-04 14:07:20

Hmmm…

A war veteran and a hockey mom who has the highest approval ratings of any governor in the country.

Vesrsus

The “uppity negro” raised by white grandparents and a communist pedophile who got into Harvard at the behest of Osama Bin Laden. Someone who has cheated in every election he’s ever won. Someone who has accomplished absolutely nothing. Running with a man who’s been in Washington for 35 years and failed in two presidential campaigns.

It’s racism.

Obama was groomed years in advance with the funding of Al-Monsour.

There is no way in hell he got an advance from an editor when he was an unknown. They gave him an advance and then waited for 4 years for the book! Since when do book publishers EVER do that. It is very difficult to break into the world of having a book published and when they do advance money it is usually on an outline and then usually the completed book is required within a certain time frame like six months to maybe a year. Yeah, right Obama, the publishing company sought you out. NOT!

I think money was being funneled to him from Al-Monsour all along both for his book and for living expenses. How else could the Obama have afforded a vacation to Bali. The facts just don’t fit.

Obama has been in bed with Al-Monsour from the beginning.

The connection from BHO to those other extremist individuals started back in BHO’s teenage years with his friendship and mentoring by and with Frank Marshall Davis…now deceased…an avowed communist member of the Communist party of the US.

I believe that from this point on this individual FMDavis was the starting point from which BHO was able to then have a sense of purpose and a sense of direction for his life. Who knows to whom Frank Marshall Davis recommended this young man BHO to in that distant past and the word got around, in secret?

An unspecific direction could have been started from that far back…and why not?

There has been some inferences somewhere on the web that FMDavis was a sort of ’soviet spy’ in Hawaii
during those years when BHO was a teenager and was ‘mentored’ by FMDavis, who was a sort of ’surrogate father’.

For these reasons, one has to seriously speculate how the growth opportunities have been made all along for BHO to go a certain route that brings him to this point in our national history.

Certainly, having so called credentials and a resume that appears on the surface to be worthy of a
political candidate seeking the highest office in the land could easily have been a worthy plan from way back when.

As long as funds and assistance and support were available to BHO, it could very well be why he is where is today.

Khalid al Mansour is nuts… I wouldn’t waste a second with him how come he sits on ANY boards at all??

The question is how come he knew Obama back then??? Through whom??

That Sutton guy is really bizarre too. He says that he wrote to “his friends: to help Barack Obama get into Harvard and says he was told (think this is before Obama started LawSchool) that he had already taken and pass all the reuqirements to be at Harvard and “be President of the Law Review”: that last bit makes no sense.

I just read the newsmax story along with this article.

It scares me.

I’m telling you…Obama must NOT be president. He really should not even be a senator.

If much more time passes without a serious vetting on all these issues.

We must do something to get these questions OUT.

Larry,
Have you seen the article at investors.com on this? Yikes. Scary. Please don’t let this story die. THIS is the story of Obams. It’s the BIG ONE. It’s the man behind the curtain.

There is an impeach Obama petition circulating around (ejected from the Senate). I’ve been spending time checking out the Clinton Democrat sites (PUMA). they provide an insight into what this “man” is up to. that insight being how he “stole” the nomination by fraud, corruption.. the PUMAs provide a lot of good information and they are doing what I believe is a heroic thing: PUTTING COUNTRY FIRST and voting to preserve those principles that are most dear to a democracy.

Anyway, great site and good work!!!! thanks!
