"After election it is determined that he is not eligible and the two time Pres. candidate loser, a long time Washington insider, Biden, steps into the Presidency. Biden has had two brain aneurysms and a heart attack and he, like McCain, is old also. Now let us postulate that he expires while in office. That would mean that Pelosi would then, by law, step into the Presidency. "

Pelosi would only step into the presidency if there was no vice president. If for some reason Senator Obama resigned from the presidency, Senator Biden would be sworn in. Senator Biden would then nominate a new vice president, who would need to be approved by both houses of Congress. In 1973, when Spiro Agnew resigned, President Nixon nominated President Ford, who was sworn in as vice president two months after Spiro Agnew resigned. In 1974, after President Nixon resigned, it was four months before Nelson Rockerfeller was sworn in as vice president.

President Johnson's succession after JFK's assassination was before the 25th Amendment, which dictates nominating a vice president when there's a vacancy. Before the 25th Amendment
(enacted in the late 60's), the Presidential Succession Act of 1947 dictated succession which had no provisions for filling a vice president vacancy. When Johnson became president, there was no vice president until he won the 1964 presidential election. Between November 1963 and January 1965, if President Johnson had to leave the office of president, the Speaker of House would have succeeded him.

I am an Independent. No matter how well Obama presents himself or the Democratic cause, I simply cannot vote for him. This is the reason why. To me there are three primary things that unite this great, wonderful, crazy melting pot of a nation of people that we call America. The Constitution, our Flag and our English language. A lawsuit has been filed against him disputing his eligibility under the II Amendment, to even run for President. It has not gone away or yet been resolved to the satisfaction of the American people. I will not just sit back and allow some hotshot Constitutional Atty to attempt to do an end run around our Constitution. It could set a precedent that could have grave repercussions for out country, not to mention the chaos that would ensue.

See http://obamacrimes.com/ for details.

There are enough legitimate and valid questions/points raised by this lawsuit, that I now want independent definitive answers to them. The fact that both the Daily Kos and Obama's own website posted a blatant forgery of his COLB for the longest time on his website raises questions. Now factcheck.org, a democratic mouthpiece, has posted the "supposed" real certified COLB on their website after Obama made his little trip to Hawaii. It still states that the father's race is "African". That cannot be right. Africa is a continent, not a race, as there are Caucasian Africans also. Not good enough now. To little, to late.

I no longer will accept a COLB that has come from inside the Obama campaign. The issue of forgery remains a specter here. I want outside independent certified verification of his original vault certificate. I also want certified answers to the other issues raised. This is a grave matter of Constitutional law that affects the very core of who we are as a people and what we represent. He needs to answer the American people. We need to protect and preserve the future integrity of the Democratic party. I may be independent, but I like to have choices when I vote. That is why I am Independent.

Mr. Berg has been painted out to be some kind of a kook due to other causes he has chosen to espouse. Be that as it may, I do know that you do not get to be Pennsylvania's former deputy attorney general by being a crackpot or a kook. I would imagine that you would have to know your stuff! He sounds pretty logical and coherent to me. http://www.americasright.com/2008/08/q-with-phillip-berg.html. Enough so, that I want answers now and not later.

Confirmation was received from Mr. Berg's Process Service Company that the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and Senator Barack Obama were served today, September 4, 2008, with the legal documents pertaining to Berg vs. Obama, Civil Action No. 08-cv-4083. The DNC was served at 12:00 p.m. and Senator Obama was served at 1:00 p.m. The U.S. Attorney’s Office accepted service on behalf of the Federal Elections Committee (FEC) on or about August 22, 2008. Now it would be very simple for Obama and the DNC to make this all go away. Just produce, or authorize the production of the proper documentation. Why won't they just do this? How hard can it be. Why don't they just sue the pants off of Berg if there is not truth to this? There is still time for Obama to step aside and allow the Democratic party to have a legitimate candidate with time left to campaign. This lawsuit needs to be fast tracked.

Picture this scenario....................Obama is elected. After election it is determined that he is not eligible and the two time Pres. candidate loser, a long time Washington insider, Biden, steps into the Presidency. Biden has had two brain aneurysms and a heart attack and he, like McCain, is old also. Now let us postulate that he expires while in office. That would mean that Pelosi would then, by law, step into the Presidency. This scenario gives me a straight up heart attack! This is why it is so important that Obama prove himself to ALL Americans before one should vote for him. Until that happens, I find that I have no choice but to vote for McCain.

It's a damn shame they can't vote for him.

And the 200,000 attendee figure has been disputed.

CM,

All of the people I list, created change by organizing their respective communities.

I used the figures I did because the Obama Attack Machine is distorting the notion of who counts as a "community organizer." They/You are doing this as a means of creating a potentially large set of people who are victimized by Palin's comment.

The Obama Attack Machine is conflating the notion of community organizer so that it includes anyone who does something that brings people/ a community together for a common purpose. The set of people who meet this description is huge, whereas the set of people who have been hired as "community organizers" is comparatively miniscule.

Jesus, Gandhi, MLK, and the Dalai Lama are/were not paid advocates. Palin's comment has nothing to do with them or the millions upon millions of people who do good work for their communities.

Obama attacked Palin's experience as a small town mayor. She sensibly shot back that her role involved a great deal of responsibility, while jokingly suggesting that his role did not. It is fair for some paid advocates to feel slighted by her remark, especially if it is taken out of the context of the political conversation of which it is a part. To suggest it means anything more than that is to engage in propaganda.

I understand how you could perceive my perspective as backwards because consuming the Obama' campaign's kool-aid causes otherwise rational, moral people to see the world through Obama's narcissistic hall of mirrors.

It is not a commonly known fact that a disproportionately large number of the people that fall into cults are college and university educated. It is hypothesized that they fall victim because they erroneously believe their intellectual training will protect them from cultish techniques that operate below the level of rationality.

My research into the library incident indicates that when Governor Palin was mayor, early in her term she asked the librarian (at a city council meetings) whether she would be agreeable to removing certain books from the library that had objectionable language. She never indicated which books were objectionable. The librarian said no, she would not remove books. The books in the library were chosen from national lists that recommend books for a library in a town the size of Wasilla.

Not long after Governor Palin's queries, she attempted to fire the librarian. Whether this had something to do with the librarian's answer to her query, is unknown. She may have been testing the librarian's loyalty to her and later said she was trying to get to know the librarian and understand and follow administration agendas. Supposedly Governor Palin backed off on removing the librarian when she agreed to Governor Palin's plan of combining the museum and library. That plan was never implemented, the two are still separate. However, Palin did fire the man who ran the museum along with I think the police chief, who if I'm remembering correctly, was the librarian's boyfriend.

However, Palin did fire the man who ran the museum along with I think the police chief, who if I’m remembering correctly, was the librarian’s boyfriend.

Sorry s. hall we don't support corruption from our party as we didn't from the republicans. Palin isn't the one going to be signing law, McCain is and he has proven he respects women far more than obama and the dnc.

I think Bonnie is confusing community organizers with rebels. The founding fathers were rebels, not community organizers. Their goal was to take over the government, frame a new one and implement it. ACORN seeks to change government policy from the inside, not stage a coup d'etat.

There's a difference. Our founding fathers put their necks on the line. A community organizer doesn't. They had a history of higher education along with running successful businesses and farms/plantations. They weren't spending their time trying to figure out how to sign up more voters to throw an election a certain way or acquiring federal money to build parks that weren't built or renovating low-income housing that ended up as bad, if not worse than it was before the renovation. In other words, there wasn't a list of failures and maybe that wasn't such a good idea to associate with that person shadowing behind them.

The McCain campaign is going after rural voters. They could very well be the voters in this election that swing the electoral vote to McCain. Especially in Michigan, Michigan may be the Ohio and Florida of the past two elections. With 17 electoral votes, Michigan could be the deciding factor. Reagan was able to swing the state red through the 80's and McCain knows to do it he has to get the southeastern metropolitan blue collar and the northern Michigan small town vote. Northern Michigan is populated by low income or fixed income voters. Many don't have health insurance, Senator Obama perks their interest. But the fixed income retirees don't want their capital gain tax raised. A majority of Northern Michigan are strong supporters of the NRA, hunters, fishermen, snowmobilers, active in their churches and pro-life. Enter Governor Palin to win them over with her small town values where the local kid sports team's games are attended by half of the town and everyone belongs to the local snowmobile club.

Governor Palin's rural background is going to be played up in the battleground states of Michigan, Indiana, New Mexico, Colorado and North Carolina where there are lots of small towns with voters who just don't quite "get" Senator Obama (argula isn't sold in their IGA) and where he's going to get all that money to spend on his programs.
