I am a Registered Republican and my research has shown this article to be completely distorted.

Senator Obama’s connections to a former hippie radical should not be discussed and really doesn’t matter to anyone who isn’t already looking for reasons to hate the half Afro-American candidate.

These types of articles are bad for McCain because it opens the door to the several hundred similar connections to even worse figures. Including the people who work on his campaign and have advised him who used to lobby for Saddam Hussein.

Furthermore I believe that this style of politics, which is clearly “Race Baiting” shows that we should have chosen Romney as our candidate. I have always voted Republican in the past, but I cannot vote for a man who would run his campaign like John McCain has. Integrity is important and it is something that I used to think he had, but he has shown me that he no longer has the level of integrity he once did as a POW. “Perhaps he never had it” is a thought that comes to me when I think about the Keating 5 scandal and his involvement in that.

Healthcare is an important issue. I stood by my sister as her body deteriorated with MS for 2 years because she couldn’t afford the medicine that prevents the disease from progressing (1700.00 per month). By the time disability was denied, and appealed - she couldn’t walk and lost the use of her hands. I am independent and would have voted for HC if she won the nomination. Now, if she runs in 2012, I will not vote for her. She now supports BO -and I won’t forget that. Anyone that can support a socialist/communist who hides behind liberalism - is Anti American - and this is who BO is. She should have left the democratic party. Party affiliation isn’t worth the sacrifice of democracy. Even my sister won’t vote for her.

Since I have spent quite a bit of time on this blog and others for months now quite a bit of what you have referred to is not news to me.
I think how you presented it was really interesting and for any who have not followed this before you summarized it well.

Very overlooked in all of this are the statements from Bernadine Dohrn that celebrated the Manson murders in 1969.
