I can’t believe Joe Biden said this. He has just pulled back the curtain, and now we see that even Joe Biden knows that he brings nothing to Obama’s race, and that they’re in trouble — big trouble. From Ben Smith’s blog at Politico.com:
Biden, today in Nashua, NH, in response to an inaudible question from an audience member:
“Make no mistake about it Hillary Clinton is as qualified as or more qualified than I am” to be vice president, Biden said. “And quite frankly, she may have been a better pick than me.”
What a stunning admission.
It’s not a surprise, though. How could a guy who could barely get 2,000 votes in the presidential primaries have anything to offer the Democratic ticket that would translate into getting voters excited enough to vote for the ticket?

I haven’t see one photo op between the two where Senator Biden looked happy to be with Senator Obama. Even the one where he’s allegedly intoxicated and is introducing Senator Obama. His enthusiasm looked fake to me.
Senator Biden always looks to me like he’s wondering what the heck he’s doing there and he’d rather be getting a root canal. It wouldn’t surprise me if he finds a challenging personal issue he suddenly must attend to that causes him to withdrawal from the ticket. However, I don’t think he’ll do it unless Senator Clinton is willing to step in for him and I don’t think that is in her career goals. But you never know, we know how far she is willing to go for party loyalty and to keep her standing, so she might do it.

The DNC put pressure on her to leave the race. They’ve also put pressure on her to campaign for Senator Obama. The coercion they’ve used has been effective so far. At this point, if she ends up being Senator Obama’s running mate before November 4th, I won’t be stunned. The Clintons’ relationship with Senator Biden is decades old. As far as I know, they are on friendly terms. Earlier in the year, Senator Biden praised Senator Clinton several times. Of course, he could have just been hoping for the vice president slot with her or a cabinet position if things had gone differently.
Anyway, I think we can take Senator Biden’s statement at face value. It is likely he meant it when he said she’s qualified to be president or vice president and possibly a better choice than him. Any ulterior motive we place on the statement is secondary.

ABOARD PALIN CAMPAIGN PLANE — The McCain campaign is “very seriously considering” having McCain and Palin campaign together more often than not in the next two months, a senior campaign aide said, adding it could be the most a presidential and vice presidential candidate campaign in tandem in recent history.
The aide said the two have developed a strong chemistry together and will likely utilize it through joint rallies. He likened it to the chemistry Bill Clinton and Al Gore had in 1992, suggesting it was instinctive.
“Sometimes these vice presidential selections, the pairings, work in a magical way,” the aide told reporters on the Palin campaign plane, on condition of anonymity. The plane is en route to Fairbanks, AK, where Palin will see her eldest son off to military service.
The aide said there has been increased enthusiasm for the campaign as well, and the pair has been able to connect on energy and economic issues, as well as change. “And we like the images,” he said.
“There’s just a huge amount of enthusiasm,” he said. “It clicks.”

So why is Clinton going there?

Don’t be at all surprised in the coming days that it is revealed Biden, Jim Webb and several other leading Democrats strongly suggested to Obama and the DNC that the Party’s best hope was choosing Hillary as VP. I do not believe this is just another one of Biden’s gaffes. The MSM is sure to have the goods very soon.
I think Jim Webb among others knew that being VP to Obama would be suicidal towards any future POTUS aspirations and they could not save Obama anyway. Only Hillary had the remote chance of doing so.

I’m watching Fox. They are running through the polling showing indies have decided to go with McCain (for now), not only that… they looked at all of the ‘new voters’ that Zero’s campaign is working so hard to register and turn out. 47% are for Zero… 44% for McCain. Statistical tie.

We don’t know Hillary wasn’t asked. Some people say she wasn’t vetted. That might have been unnecessary. But it’s obvious that had she accepted the Dems would have had the election.
Which leads irrevocably to the conclusion it’s not just about winning the election for the Dems. What a sick bunch of assholes. Can you imagine what they’re going to write in the history books about 2008 and this election and Howard Dean, Nancy Pelosi. Donna Brazile, and Barry Soetoro?
Hillary was asked in private right after the primaries. She turned him down. At least that has been circulating with people who are in “the know” for quite a while. I believe it was at Senator Feinstein’s home.

I do hope she doesn’t step in as VP. Top only if Obama really loves HIS country, he will step down and let the most capable one run the country and learn from her and have a go at it 2016 perhaps after her two terms. Obama needs to admit he is not the stronger candidate.
With regard to the pig comment, yes he used and old saying to his advantage, knowing 1. it would get attention 2. already had clips of McCain and others saying the same thing. 3. He knew his audience would catch the double meaning against Sarah as her recent lipstick comment still on people’s minds and he knew he could defend himself with the old saying,
so he got his attention, had his cake and ate it too.
He is way to clever/smart not to haved intentionally planned to work that into the conversation. He even halfway covered his head in shame as he KNEW WHAT HE WAS SAYING would be taken the way it was despite his defense of old saying. Pretty slick.
