Do You Want To Know Why, Barack?

I have watched two women be trashed by my party–the party that is supposed to believe in “Equal Rights For Women”. In the process, Hillary Clinton broke Barack Obama’s Hopey Changey Magical Powers Wand and then the DNC dragged his limp butt over the line against the will of their constuents, never imagining that the lingering filth he and they left behind would ever amount to much. Their mistake.

Hillary broke Barack Obama’s magic wand, tis true. She took his mojo away. And now, Sarah is drinking his milkshake.

But Why? Why is this woman who came out of nowhere (just like Barack Obama did!) such a threat to The One, Barack Obama? I’ll give you a hint: this is not about Roe v Wade. Roe v Wade is going nowhere and we all know it. We are deaf to the same old threat the Democratic Party has literally used to keep us in line for decades–along with “Equal Rights,” “Equal Pay,” and other lies the party never really intended to correct succeeded in correcting once and for all. Nope. This isn’t about those things. Instead, this is is about regular people being sick and tired of elite asses like Barack Obama, who are out of touch with reality, running for President.

[SusanUnPC's Note: You've got to see the video at the end! Awesome!]

Up until this moment, Mr. Obama, you and the DNC used and insulted what a woman doesn’t have that you have, namely a paltry penis. So then, exactly what is it that she has that you don’t have, Barack?

Plenty!

Here’s your answer. Regular people see themselves in her. She’ just as smart as you are. More experienced than you are. She doesn’t have 300 advisors like you do, yet you look the fool.

What’s she got, you ask? She’s got “genuine”. She attracts regular people, who incidentally are the majority of this country. They see themselves in her. Finally! they are saying, A Middle American candidate!

No fanfare. No Temple.

No podium with a perfectly placed crowd. No insulting rap “music”. No perfectly timed chants.

No fake fainters.

No home made signs that aren’t really home made. No big shot attitude. No three thousand dollar suit.

No slowly tossing her haughty head back, chin in the air, eyes at half-mast toward the other gods, ear turned to the crowd, sucking in the Worship. (See left for how you look to others)

No sir. None of that. That’s YOUR way.

Instead, she is One of Them. One of those regular working people who don’t come from your elitist academic background. While you people sit at your desks with your noses in the air analyzing the Real World and what it needs, you don’t live in that world and never have. I spent enough time in your world before I entered the Real World to know the difference between theory and reality.

Who are these many many MANY people who relate to Sarah Palin instead of Barack Obama?

These are people who wouldn’t agree that hanging out with a domestic terrorist who wants to infiltrate America’s schools with Communist and Socialist ideas is an Okay thing to do—even if he did do it all 40 years ago. These are people who would not invite Bill Ayers to dinner.

These are people who struggle daily. The ones you ‘refer’ to all the time but can’t relate to. you can’t relate to them because you not only aren’t one of them, you never were one of them–in spite of your fictional novel that masquerades as an autobiography. When these people think, “Times are hard,” they aren’t thinking the way you and Michelle think. They aren’t thinking “Gee it’s getting rougher to come up with $20k for piano lessons for the kids“. And they didn’t, as Michelle suggested, buy some nice earrings with their tax stimulation rebate.

These are people who can smell bullshit four blocks away, Barack. They are people who make their own way in America because they know they Can. When they fall down, they get up. They don’t ask other people for freebees. Most of them rarely have time to go to a rock concert like the Democratic convention. Their kids might go though. That’s because when all your living bills are paid for you by somebody else, you have time to do the Hopey Changey act, because you aren’t living in the real world where you take responsibility for your own life. Yet. These are the people who pay for their kids’ education through struggling, sacrificing, savings from the money they have earned. and loans. These are the people who would rather swallow a broom than have the government take care of them. Some of them even hunt for their own food, prefering to gather for themselves than take food stamps for life. They would shovel shit for a living if they had to, something nobody recalls you ever doing. They give a whole lot more than they take and they don’t brag about it like you do.

These are people who would be horrified if they knew that Communists, Marxists, Leninists and Socialists in America are heavily re-energized and endorsing their candidate.

These are people would would be horrifed if they knew that their candidate received campaign contributions from Hamas. They understand that this is a threat to Democracy.

These are people who would never hang out with an Iraqi prison escapee. They would be shocked if their candidate’s career was overseen by a finally-convicted scumball who bilked taxpayers out of scores of millions of dollars with your help.

They wouldn’t ever attend a church where the pastor says, GODDAMN AMERIKKA, not even once much less for twenty years. They are people who revere American Democracy and do not want it to go away in deference to Middle Eastern jihad radicals. They revere Democracy wherever it resides as well, even outside of their country, because they are smart enough to comprehend that a threat to one democracy is a threat to all democracies. Israel comes to mind. So does Georgia. Some of these folks are a bit overly religious for my tastes, but what they don’t do is worship a human who acts like a god, namely they don’t worship You. Maybe they “Cling To God” because it beats clinging to other people’s wallets via the government, Barack.

Let me tell you more about who these people are. These are people who don’t need the likes of you telling them to heed a call to Service. They not only already understand what that means, but they didn’t heed The Call as a stepping stone to political advancement as you have done. They not only Serve, but many of them do it for Life. They are the people who take care of arrogant you daily. They are the people who grow that arugula you find at Whole Foods. They are the servants who know Service in a way you never have. They are the First Responders to disaster, while guys like you are still flapping your lips on TV. And they are the people who even go to war for their country without being forced.

These are people who don’t care at all what Chris Matthews or Keith Olbermann have to say. In fact, they support Sarah Palin even more when she is attacked by you and the Press. Why? Because they empathize. That’s why. They know what it is to be derided for making their own way. They know what it is to be snorted at by arrogant elitist Presidential candidates who aren’t going to do squat for them after their votes are cast. None of them ever got Affirmative Actioned into anything, much less Harvard. Yet, they are exponentially more loving toward America and Democracy than you and your wife are.

These are people who have never been to Daily Kos or Moveon’s websites. They don’t read Huffington Post. They are people who are not like You, Barack Obama. They are like Sarah Palin.

And they are in the majority in the USA, Barack.

Toss in all the millions of people, Democrats and Republicans, you have angered and horrifed by your shameful treatment of a superior woman so that your arrogant mediocre self could prevail. Then toss in all the people who voted for you in a primary before they figured out what you really are—-and you’ve got the reason why you are not The One any longer.

The facade has ended. We all know you are not The Emperor and you truly don’t have clothes. The overused Race Card is now a major annoyance instead of a guilt inducer. Your fake concern and lack of empathy and compassion in everything you say is so apparent that it’s raw, and your self-serving agenda is without excuse.

Take a look at The People, Barack. Compare some notes with your “rallies”. And understand why the Real World, the world of Democracy, rejects you handily. You can raise money from your dubious sources and not stop till Pigs Fly, pun intended, and it won’t attract one of these people.

Witness Spontaneity and a candidate who takes nothing for granted as you have. Maybe then you will Get It.

Here is the poll: Obama’s lead down to 5 IN NEW YORK:

Loudonville, NY. Seven weeks until Election Day, the race for President has tightened in New York, with Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) leading Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) 46-41 percent among likely voters, according to a new Siena (College) Research Institute poll released today. Obama’s five point lead is down from eight points in August, 13 points in July and 18 points in June, when he led 51-33 percent. On a series of six questions concerning current issues in the campaign – economy, Iraq, terrorism, health care, America’s position in the world, and education – likely voters believe Obama will do a better job on four. Conversely, out of six attributes voters often look at in choosing a candidate – compassion, patriotism, experience, intelligence, integrity, and leadership – New York’s electorate gives the edge to McCain on four.

Democrats and Republicans - and Independents!

We in PA are now subject to a renewed barrage of Obama TV spots. (Lucky us).

The one I’ve seen shows him speaking directly to the camera about his “Change” agenda. I didn’t listen to the spiel so much as note his attitude. He appeared angry in them, and even a little scared.

rev. wright — Obama thinks that more of him will be what sells. We people have seen too much of the miserable Obamas — the arrogant novices with the superior judgement–ha. The man has never accomplished one thing except maybe having a bigger speech in Berlin than Hitler. Course Hitler didn’t need to offer sausages and beer to get a crowd.

Obama is just a pretender — a charlaton who will be whatever you want him to be until someone else wants him to be something different. We need solid, steady leadership in these tough economic times — it ain’t going to come from the overgrown kid with delusions of grandeur.

Comment by Lee M | 2008-09-15 07:58:23

It isn’t legal. It’s about time someone enforced the Logan Act against Obama.He has broken this law several times this campaign season but this is the most dastardly example to date. NO ONE except the President of The United States or his officially designated representative is allowed to negotiate with a foreign country on America’s behalf. Come on somebody in the administration with the authority - RING THIS GUY IN.

This sounds remarkably like the stunt the Reagan forces pulled on Carter with the Iran hostages. (In case you don’t know, GOPers allegedly told the Iranians to hold onto the hostages until Carter was defeated. I don’t recall their exact reward for this unless it was just getting Carter.)

Comment by Steve in KC | 2008-09-15 10:06:41

Their reward was that Reagan sold the Iranians arms and used the proceeds to fund the Nicaraguan Contras against the wishes of Congress. Remember the “Iran-Contra” hearings with Oliver North?

Comment by mcpalin hill | 2008-09-15 11:54:00

wry — me too — all we had was our moral superiority to the Republicans and now we don’t even have that. How sad all this makes me feel. The Democrats had to know what was coming down with the Stock Market and that we needed a strong president to keep us whole — so they fixed this for Obama. I will never forgive the Democratic Party for this.

Comment by Jim S | 2008-09-15 11:36:55

and the reason they did was twofold. If I remember correctly, Iran needed the weapons because they were fighting with Saddam Hussein (there’s that name again) and the Iraqi’s and because congress refused to fund rebels willing to fight against Daniel Noriega and the communist government in Nicaragua. It was a win-win situation. I can still picture wearing Ollie North in full uniform smiling at the congressmen. They were mad because he dared to wear his uniform after they requested that he come in civilian clothes. Reagan and North were right in their intentions, perhaps not in how they went about it. Congress, at that time was solidly Democratic and in full love thy commie mode.

Anyway, that’s another discussion for another day

If John McCain was busted doing something like this, the headline “100 Years in Iraq” would be plastered all over.

This is despicable.

Just when I think 0bama couldn’t sink any lower he proves that I’m not even close to knowing how low he can go.

This goes to show how unskilled he is in leadership. What he should have said was something to effect that: It should be understood that a new administration is going have a different policy with regard to troop withdrawals and any decision reached now should bare this in mind.

And certainly that is true. But to actually come out and be caught trying to stall troop withdrawals smacks of wanting to use the Iraqi War for politicking.

Disgraceful utterly disgraceful.

And worse

INCOMPETANT!

Comment by mcpalin hill | 2008-09-15 11:57:20

So now we know why The Symbol made that world tour, he was trying to pull a Reagan. I’m glad that Iraq had the fortitude to resist or to demand a price Soertoro/Obama could not or would not meet.

According to Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari, Obama made his demand for delay a key theme of his discussions with Iraqi leaders in Baghdad in July.

“He asked why we were not prepared to delay an agreement until after the US elections and the formation of a new administration in Washington,” Zebari said in an interview.

Looks like Soetoro/Obama is still using Republican Ronald Reagan’s election tactics to try to get elected; different situation but exactly the same method used in the “guns for hostages” agreement with Iran that Reagan used in the 1980 election.

Not very honorable but good politics. Disgusting!. At least with the Republicans I never expected anything good for the people of America and was never let down but I thought the Democrats stood up for people, now I see it was all a slogan of empty words.

The Republican Party had to change, it was so corrupt and out for the rich. That’s why John McCain got the nomination, he was the only non-corrupt Republican leader they had that was clean. I love the thought of the Republican Party being about reform again. Long live the new Republican Party. The Democrats must lose this time and lose big for them to clean out their old and new corrupt leaders: Dean, Pelosi, Kerry, Ted Kennedy,Obama,etc. Then maybe the Democrats will be able to become something decent again.

I would caution my fellow PUMAs against the “Obama is a socialist and a commie” rhetoric, which is standard right-wing stuff.

Keep in mind that normal Americans don’t see commies in the woodwork. This is a classic winger hang-up.

The right always call any Democrat running for President a commie. They called FDR a commie; they called JFK a commie; they called Bill Clinton a commie; they called John Kerry a commie; and they called Hillary a commie.

They’re like the boy who cried wolf, so they have no credibility whatsoever.

I promise you, if Hillary were the Democratic candidate, the right would be telling America what a socialist and communist she is. They do it every time.

As any PUMA knows, there are plenty of awful things about Obama and his people. We’re not going to defeat them by repeating what the Right has always said about every Democratic Presidential candidate since forever.

Perry, along the same theme, go after Davis because he is a pervert, not because he was a communist:

Obama’s Mentor Was a Pervert

Covering a sensitive and explosive subject that has been off-limits for the major U.S. media, the London Daily Telegraph is now claiming that Frank Marshall Davis was a strong influence over a young Barack Obama for nine years of his life, rather than just four, and was a sex pervert and pothead.

The Telegraph article alleges that Davis was a bisexual engaged in “sordid” sexual activities and had repeated sexual encounters with a 13-year-old girl.

Davis died in 1987.

“Although identified only as Frank in Mr. Obama’s memoir Dreams from My Father, it has now been established that he was Frank Marshall Davis.

In Dreams From My Father, the mysterious “Frank” makes numerous appearances and gives Obama advice on matters ranging from race relations to college and his life in the U.S.

Obama’s white grandfather, Stanley Dunham, picked Davis because Obama’s black father had abandoned the family and Dunham thought Obama needed a black father-figure. Davis was Obama’s mentor during the critical years 1975-1979.

Obama was introduced to Davis in 1970 when he was only nine years old. This would mean that Davis was an influence over Obama for about nine full years, until Obama was 18 and went off to college.

Sources quote Dawna Weatherly-Williams, a friend of Davis’s, as saying that Stanley Dunham brought Obama to meet Davis in the autumn of 1970. She “was chatting with him [Davis] that late autumn afternoon as Dunham and Barry [Obama] approached,”

Some accounts say that Obama returned to Hawaii in 1971.However, the Punahou School, the coeducational college preparatory day school in Honolulu that Obama attended from 1971 to 1979, was adamant that Obama took his entrance examine in autumn 1970. But whether it was 1970 or 1971, this adds several years to the amount of time that Davis was exercising influence over Obama.

Washington Post chairman, the late Katharine Graham, began her career as a journalist for the San Francisco News using, among others, Frank Marshall Davis, as a news “source.” This fact is acknowledged in an obituary of Graham on the official Post website. The Post Company and the paper today are run by members of the Graham family.
Frank Marshall Davis was sent to Hawaii from Chicago to organize there. Davis went to Hawaii after consulting with Paul Robeson and Bridges, who ran the International Longshore and Warehouse Union. This labor union subsidized the newspaper, the Honolulu Record, which Davis wrote for.

We also know that, as late as the early 1970s, after he had met Obama, Davis was still associating with the American Committee for Foreign Born, which existed to prevent the deportation from the U.S. of foreigners. Davis had met Bridges at the Abraham Lincoln School in Chicago.

Davis’s alleged sexual perversion adds a dramatic and alarming element to the controversy. Davis’s sexual proclivities were documented in a 1968 pornographic novel, written just two years before Davis became Obama’s mentor, which was titled, Sex Rebel: Black (Memoirs of a Gourmet Gash). Davis wrote the book, which is now generally unavailable, under a pseudonym, Bob Greene.

The book, which closely tracks Mr. Davis’s life in Chicago and Hawaii and the fact that his first wife was black and his second white, describes in lurid detail a series of shockingly sordid sexual encounters, often involving group sex. One chapter concerns the seduction by Mr. Davis and his first wife of a 13-year-old girl called Anne. Mr. Davis wrote that it was the girl who had suggested he had sex with her. In the book he describes how he and his wife would have sex with the girl many times over the course of several weeks
This explosive information, if the character in the book is actually based on Davis’s own experiences, would further demonstrate why Obama would want to cover up Davis’s true identity in his book, calling him just “Frank.”

There is no question that Davis wrote the book under the pseudonym of “Bob Greene.” John Edgar Tidwell, the editor of other books by Davis, has confirmed this is the case.

In the introduction to Livin’ the Blues, a book by Davis that Tidwell edited, Tidwell reveals that Davis left behind after his death an uncompleted manuscript, “The Incredible Waikiki Jungle,” which describes how Davis “specialized in sex” during the period 1969-1976. Tidwell also says that Davis wrote another unpublished manuscript called “Mixed Sex Salad.”

Whether the book Sex Rebel is entirely based on Davis or not, the controversy certainly demonstrates that Davis had a perverted sexual interest.

The Obama campaign’s 40-page so-called rebuttal to Corsi’s book confirms and does not deny the Obama relationship with Davis. With the allegations about Davis’s life as a sex pervert and consumer of illegal drugs, the pressure could mount on Obama to come clean about the mysterious relationship.

Comment by Perry Logan | 2008-09-15 06:43:03

The problem is that Republicans are EXTREMELY vulnerable on the sexual perversion issue. The Republican Party contains an astounding number of pedophiles:
http://www.dkosopedia.com/wiki/Republican_Sex_Scandals

Comment by Diana | 2008-09-15 07:23:16

Perry normally I agree with you on just about everything, but that was totally uncalled for. There are pedophiles, rapist, etc…on both sides of the isle. Sexual predators don’t stop to see which party they’re a member of before committing a crime. What we have to do is make sure these people don’t keep their jobs on either side of the aisle.

Comment by mimi | 2008-09-15 11:16:36

The implication is NOT that 0bama is a pedophile. I, for one, don’t believe that he is. What’s implied is that he was EXPOSED to a pedophile and may have been the victim of sexual molestation/abuse.

Does this make him unfit for office?

I can’t answer that.

I do think it raises the issue of psychological and emotional complexity. If he is a survivor of sexual abuse, did he have therapy to resolve any vestigial emotional problems?

These would be pertinent questions with regard to the mental capacity of someone seeking to lead the US.

Who knows, we may have had leaders who have been abused. We certainly had an alcholic in Ulysses S. Grant. Someone wrote a book recently alleging Lincoln was gay. And both these presidents have a distinguished place in history.

What I don’t like is that this is not the ONLY part of 0bama’s life that’s a mystery. There are too many unanswered questions which makes Davis’ influence on him particularly unsettling.

True, however the fact remains that those Larry Sinclair allegations continue to haunt BarkO unabated…

There is past evidence from which to conclude that BarkO does possess Marxist leanings - be it his associations or stated objectives.

While I do appreciate that words such as ‘commie’ and ’socialist’ can be easily overstated, I feel that such a label is applicable and warranted in this case.

However, you are correct in that many may confuse rhetoric from reality and it is for this reason that I myself do not use it often - not because it is untrue.

I agree that overstating this truth only serves to diminish its significance; however, if there was ever a ‘made’ candidate, it is Barack Hussein Obama.

Do an ad with Obama’s weird weird weird poems.
This was printed on the obamapuff site.

POP

Sitting in his seat, a seat broad and broken

In, sprinkled with ashes,

Pop switches channels, takes another

Shot of Seagrams, neat, and asks

What to do with me, a green young man

Who fails to consider the

Flim and flam of the world, since

Things have been easy for me;

I stare hard at his face, a stare

That deflects off his brow;

I’m sure he’s unaware of his

Dark, watery eyes, that

Glance in different directions,

And his slow, unwelcome twitches,

Fail to pass.

I listen, nod,

Listen, open, till I cling to his pale,

Beige T-shirt, yelling,

Yelling in his ears, that hang

With heavy lobes, but he’s still telling

His joke, so I ask why

He’s so unhappy, to which he replies…

But I don’t care anymore, cause

He took too damn long, and from

Under my seat, I pull out the

Mirror I’ve been saving; I’m laughing,

Laughing loud, the blood rushing from his face

To mine, as he grows small,

A spot in my brain, something

That may be squeezed out, like a

Watermelon seed between

Two fingers.

Pop takes another shot, neat,

Points out the same amber

Stain on his shorts that I’ve got on mine, and

Makes me smell his smell, coming

From me; he switches channels, recites an old poem

He wrote before his mother died,

Stands, shouts, and asks

For a hug, as I shink,* my

Arms barely reaching around

His thick, oily neck, and his broad back; ’cause

I see my face, framed within

Pop’s black-framed glasses

And know he’s laughing too.

The majority of the democratic party is silent and they are moderates. It is VERY true that the far left wing of our party is riddled with radicals, communists, socialist, marxists, you name it. THey give our party a bad name but they ARE there, mainly because the can’t make it in their own shitty parties. Every once in awhile they try to hijack the party and this year is a classic example of that. As a woman, if I thought my entire party was socialist or communist, I would say I was in the the wrong party. But let’s not pretend these left of left nutjobs aren’t there. They are.

UW, you could not have said it better. It’s like I was a kid looking in the window of Marshall Fields at Christmas knowing I had no chance of anything in that window. I can’t related to anything displayed by my party this year. It saddens me to know that I have to look at Fox and listen to Rush to know the truth about the top of my parties ticket.
I’m sadden to know that I can’t talk to my family and frieds (even though some that I have not spoken to in months are now calling). Some saying that you told us that he was an empty suit. Others have said that HRC has to go after Palin. My response is it’s not her job, he is the nominee. They really feel that she has to throw him a rope rather than hitting him with a shovel (which a lot think). Someone very high up in the HRC campaign said this time last year that BO is actually the 3rd term of GWB. They were so right, while she was out campaigning for him in Ohio yesterday, he was sitting on his ass in Chicago. Lazy like a Bush!

Frankly, I do not really think the obamas are that sophisticated, although they would have us think so. MO’s taste in clothes is quite tacky, she does not exude any class at all. Cindy McCain and Condoleeza Rice do. Enough said, I do not really know how the Democrats can talk about Palin being the least qualified person ever to run for VP, when they have obama running at the top of their ticket. I still cannot believe they stole the nomination from the most qualified person they ever had. To them, I would like to say: Sitting this one out, guys!

THE DETROIT FREE PRESS reports that ACORN has been caught in Michigan registering duplicate and non-existent voters as part of a scheme to steal the state for Obama. ACORN is the corrupt voter registration group with which Obama worked as a “community organizer to fill up the voter rolls for the Daley machine.

For months, the Obama campaign has been having its supporters in deep blue and deep red states travel to neighboring states to register people to vote.

A rumored plot by the Dems to steal the election goes like this: Obama workers in deep blue and deep red states will vote absentee so they don’t have to be in their home states on election day. Then on election day they will allegedly pour out of their non-competitive states into nearby swing states to vote fraudulently as follows: California Obama supporters are to pour into Las Vegas, New Yorkers into Pennsylvania, Texans into New Mexico and Colorado, Maryland Obama workers into Virginia, Massachusetts and Vermont workers into New Hampshire, and Chicago workers into Michigan, Ohio, and Gary, Indiana.

Federal and state authorities should keep on alert for this possible plot to steal the election.

I always thought they would try to steal the election. It’s the only reason that 0bama could be so smug toward the Democratic Party base.

The strategy is to keep the election as close as possible, if 0bama is not way ahead. If McCain pulls away, they’re in trouble.

Which is why Donna Brazile told the base to STAY HOME.
Which is why they are so obsessed with Palin because she has mobilized the Republican Conservative base which would have stayed home.

Now they’re scrambling and they’re getting caught.

McCain needs to pull away from 0bama with a commanding lead.

Enough of this thug shit!

Excellent post Uppity! I always expect great stuff from you and you still haven’t let me down.

I believe the ERA has been used as a tool for both parties for almost fifty years. The GOP uses it to promote their candidates as Pro Life, and willing to overturn Roe v Wade, and they kept their women in step by opposing radical feminists, right? but only keen observers noticed that the Democrats have used it against the majority of women in the U.S. in just as cruel a way, they threaten us with our reproductive rights being taken away, they tell us we’ll never earn equal pay, we’ll never have laws to protect us, we won’t be respected in a GOP administration.

The TRUTH is: it’s a Hot button issue. Good for dragging out in election cycles, with neither party really wanting to acheive the agenda because then they would have one less platform to run with.
Both parties could have made a dent in their wishes if they had really cared enough to attempt it. The GOP has had control of all three arms of the Legislation in the years 2000-06, ample time to overturn, if not severely alter the legislation that permits a right to choose. They had a Supreme Court that was very favorable to what they desired. Obviously, if it didn’t happen then, it ain’t happening now! Conversely, the Democrats had control during the Clinton years, and in the last two years they had the Senate and The House. Well, ask yourself what legislation was passed by the Left, or even attempted to be passed that was favorable, or newly devised to empower women farther than where they are now? We have been the ace in the hole for the Democratic Party for far too long. It is shameful. We, the women, and the African Americans, have been used and abused, and yet, we are the sole reason this party isn’t totally irrelevant. Ask yourself what have they done for either group lately? Now, we’re being pushed to the side while they court the Hispanics, and the immigrants (especially showing favorability to the illegals), all the new promises are for them, and all the threats are, as well.

I am going on a different path now. Older, and wiser, I can see through the smoke and mirrors, and I realize there is not one single issue left that the Democrats supposedly support that means a damn thing to me.
But, I do have children, and I want a safer, more patriotic nation for them. I want lower taxes, less Government, and I want keep the freedom which the country was founded on, and it’s Constitution intact. I want to be able to have Christianity recognized as the Religion of our forefathers, and at the same time, I want to respect the religions of other Americans, as well. I don’t want an administration that out dazzles Hollywood, I want a President and a Vice President who love this country, not just as the ultimate job to enhance their resumes, but as the ultimate honor and responsibility that an American can achieve.
I hope more women will join me and support the GOP ticket in the fall. I hope to see more African Americans find themselves looking in this direction, as well.
The Democrats want to make us feel like we have no where else to go, and that we need them. The GOP don’t treat us any differently than they do anyone else, they believe we can and will take care of ourselves without their support, it’s all in how you look at it really. The DNC needs us, and the GOP has been winning elections without us for a very long time, they didn’t have to listen to the 18 million voters who said it’s time to trust leadership to a woman, if our own party didn’t heed those voters wishes, why should they? But they did, and I have always been taught that action speaks louder than words. My REaction is I will give my vote to the GOP, if they treat me right, and keep their promises of real reform and bipartisan governing, I will give it to them again. The DNC needs to find a new base to threaten, it doesn’t work on me anymore.

143 Reasons Why. 143 Days of Arrogance.

You couldn’t get a cashier job at a fast food joint and become district manager after 143 days of behind the counter experience.

You couldn’t become chief of surgery after 143 days of observing surgery.

You couldn’t get a job as an associate professor and be the dean after 143 days of experience grading papers.

You couldn’t join the military and become a general after 143 days of experience, even in the field of battle.

You couldn’t get a job as a freshman reporter and become the head of a news division after 143 days of copy editing. (well, maybe there.. :) )

BUT….

From the time Barack Obama was sworn in as a United States Senator, to the time he announced he was forming a Presidential exploratory committee, he logged 143 days of experience as a junior senator. After 143 days of work experience, Obama has enough hubris to think he was owed the position of Commander In Chief, Leader of the Free World.

Strangely, a large sector of the American public is okay with this and campaigning for him. Hopefully there is a larger sector of real people, like the ones in the rally in the video above who won’t accept this, who if they saw it in their line of work would wonder if there was some cheating going on between the rule makers, the big bosses and the candidate.

Everyone knows that everyone has to start somewhere. But most expect a candidate to have some humility and follow at least a reasonable facsimile of a traditional path. It is only human nature to dislike the guy who jumps in line ahead of everybody else because they “want” to be at the head of the line and we dislike them even more if they turn around and tell you to get over it and that you should just give it (the lead spot) to them because the reason you are in the line is that you have always been in line and that’s were you belong.

BTW. Where was that video taken?

OBAMA TRIED TO STALL GIS’ IRAQ WITHDRAWAL

WHILE campaigning in public for a speedy withdrawal of US troops from Iraq, Sen. Barack Obama has tried in private to persuade Iraqi leaders to delay an agreement on a draw-down of the American military presence.

Obama insisted that Congress should be involved in negotiations on the status of US troops - and that it was in the interests of both sides not to have an agreement negotiated by the Bush administration in its “state of weakness and political confusion.”

“However, as an Iraqi, I prefer to have a security agreement that regulates the activities of foreign troops, rather than keeping the matter open.” Zebari says.

Though Obama claims the US presence is “illegal,” he suddenly remembered that Americans troops were in Iraq within the legal framework of a UN mandate. His advice was that, rather than reach an accord with the “weakened Bush administration,” Iraq should seek an extension of the UN mandate.

While in Iraq, Obama also tried to persuade the US commanders, including Gen. David Petraeus, to suggest a “realistic withdrawal date.” They declined.

Obama has made many contradictory statements with regard to Iraq. His latest position is that US combat troops should be out by 2010. Yet his effort to delay an agreement would make that withdrawal deadline impossible to meet.

Supposing he wins, Obama’s administration wouldn’t be fully operational before February - and naming a new ambassador to Baghdad and forming a new negotiation team might take longer still.

By then, Iraq will be in the throes of its own campaign season. Judging by the past two elections, forming a new coalition government may then take three months. So the Iraqi negotiating team might not be in place until next June.

Then, judging by how long the current talks have taken, restarting the process from scratch would leave the two sides needing at least six months to come up with a draft accord. That puts us at May 2010 for when the draft might be submitted to the Iraqi parliament - which might well need another six months to pass it into law.

The majority of the problem applications are coming from the group ACORN, Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, which has a large voter registration program among its many social service programs. ACORN’s Michigan branch, based in Detroit, has enrolled 200,000 voters statewide in recent months, mostly with the use of paid, part-time employees.

“There appears to be a sizeable number of duplicate and fraudulent applications,” said Kelly Chesney, spokeswoman for the Michigan Secretary of State’s Office. “And it appears to be widespread.”

“We’re proud of our efforts to increase voter registration, and we have aggressive training for our staff to make sure the cards are filled out appropriatelythey register as many dead people as possible and let the clerks sort it out,” he said.

Comment by Liz B | 2008-09-15 09:12:25

What can be done about this? Now. Before the election. I think there should be a block on all ACORN registered voters across the country. Also MoveOn.org registrations. Each one needs to be processed and double checked. If we allow this to happen, there will be as much fraud in the GE as there was in the Primary.

Well…well… here in Florida I just saw on one of the morning Joe commercial break that Obama has his own swiftboat ad against Mc Cain, with an ex-Hanoi Hilton veteran saying something along the line that John Mc Cain did something reckless and that he is not fit to be near the nuclear button. I wasn’t paying attention at first, so I will have to see it again to know exactly what was about. Also I missed the group sponsoring the ad, but it must have been some 527. It seems the One is continuing to play dirty…but we already knew that.
Has anyone else seen the ad? I am curious to know where else it is being shown…

OH GOOD! With a campaign like obama’s we hardly have to do anything to get rid of him.

Comment by bemused | 2008-09-15 08:43:02

No, but I know an early meme they were trying to start was that he was reckless, feckless, and generally irresponsible for crashing planes. Obviously they don’t know this is what happens when you are getting shot at a lot. But posters can be prepared for “McCain isn’t fit because he crashed his planes.”

Wesley Clark tried that crap and it didn’t sit well with people. They better not try it again as it failed last time. That crap doesn’t sit well with me!

I have been telling all politicians trying to win my vote that they cannot just tell me why the other guy is bad. they must tell me why they are good and what’s in it for me and America if I choose to vote for them.

I got an email from a congressman who I’d barely heard of before the day before our primary. His email was only filled with slamming his opponent. I replied and said, hey, I have not heard much about you and rather than just attacking your rival, tell me why I should vote for you. His reply, go to the website. I replied that politicians who have a bigger selling point against their rival than for themselves probably shouldn’t be elected because they have nothing to offer or they’d brag it up! This is how I will be replying to politicians from now on down the line!

Stop the attacks and sell yourself. Why I should believe in you and why you are for real and what is your record!

Comment by Uppity Woman | 2008-09-15 08:18:48

Nothing new. His top ten contributors are Wall street except for Exelon. Has been that way all along. He gets bundlers to get the money and pretends he doesn’t take money from lobbyists. He’s slime.

Comment by OBSP | 2008-09-15 08:47:46

I really wish I could share everything I know about Exelon, but that would let them know who I am. Exelon executives are on his speed dial. He takes there calls instead of govonors and senators.

Comment by Uppity Woman | 2008-09-15 08:54:03

I’ve done a lot on Exelon. His buddy Frank Clark is on the board. The hand picked CEO of Commonwealth Edison, hand picked by Bill Ayer’s former CEO daddy who was big on the board at the time. Clark bundled a couple of hundred grand for Barky and then some. Then there’s that “legislation” that Obama promised the people living around Exelon…that he watered down for Exelon, so that a nuclear leak doesn’t even have to be reported to the living things around them.

Speaking of Wall Street,
big sell-off expected today. Here’s McCain’s statement:

“It is essential for us to make sure that the U.S. remains the pre-eminent financial market of the world. This will be a highest priority of my Administration. In order to do this, major reform must be made in Washington and on Wall Street. We cannot tolerate a system that handicaps our markets and our banks and places at risk the savings of hard-working Americans and investors. The McCain-Palin Administration will replace the outdated and ineffective patchwork quilt of regulatory oversight in Washington and bring transparency and accountability to Wall Street. We will rebuild confidence in our markets and restore our leadership in the financial world.”

Comment by chris | 2008-09-15 11:21:19

Why didn’t the Dem congress start hammering on this when they got control? Because they were on the take too. This was coming a long time before Bush and none of them, either party, stepped up because the country was on a fantasy easy street so they( Govt.) could keep riding the gravy train and making personal fortunes. Ask Mr. Dod how he did with his sweetheart mortgage deal etc., all the while he has been head of the Banking committee. It’s morphed into a very severe problem for all of us and there are many to blame. Put Greespan at the top of the list. Reality is it’s all about who gets the money. People made fortunes for being unethical and the American citizen gets screwed again. Mucho blame to go around.

Comment by chris | 2008-09-15 11:28:09

And we can’t keep bailing these crooks out either. There is no more in the tank to fix bad and illegal schemes that these companies–both public and private–have forced on everyone. I agree with the repubs this time. No more bailouts/less govt. interference and let the marketplace decide who survives. I am totally opposed to any bailout for the automotive companies. That being said, I think innocent investors and clients of these entities need some sort of help. Either legal help or bridge loans or something. Printing money to bailout thugs is never a good thing. Neither is raising taxes on people who can’t afford it anymore.

She also knows we will do what we have to do. You need to get past it. It has to be done unless you think Hillary clinton can run for office in the future on the Nobody Party Ticket.

Name me one President who was elected as an Independent. I’ll wait….

Uppity, I think people may not realize how big a party is, how much organization is involved and so on, they think PUMA is equivalent to a party so why not take off on it. I think it’s more like the Dem party is a house that the roof blew off from, but there is still a lot that can be salvaged and used, and Hillary is working on that part.
(Plus I still hope she will replace Biden and that a few hours later Barky will go totally berserk and be hauled off to the padded holding cell, leaving Hill in charge. No cheese involved, either.)

Comment by Uppity Woman | 2008-09-15 08:49:56

Hmmm. Wasn’t Ayers involved in something like that?

Comment by WestPalm2008 | 2008-09-15 08:54:31

I am not scared of riots. Rioting types typically aren’t voters.

Besides, if they do riot, they will destroy any legitimate black person’s chances for the presidency for generations, and the Democratic party will collapse and/or become the party “of black people” only.

Cooler heads will hopefully prevail.

Comment by csuzeq | 2008-09-15 09:01:21

I’m not scared either. I thought we should have had the riots in August after taking down Obama and replacing him with Clinton. Riots will be a couple days max. Terrorist run America if allowed to happen is for centuries, if not forever! I can handle 4 years of McCain. I doubt we’d ever get rd of BO! He’ll make himself king of America and refuse to leave office!

Comment by Betty | 2008-09-15 10:44:06

I’m with you. I wish that all Americans would get together and let both parties know that we will not stand for election fraud any more.

But it is impossible for Americans to organize anything any more. The powers that want to be realized during the Viet Nam war how powerful the MSM was so they took it over. Now they only tell us what they want us to know and most of the time tell us what our opinions are too.

From what I understand the “illegal immigrant” rallies were so successful because they were coordinated through text messaging on cell phones. Any one want to guess how many cell phone numbers Obama has?

Can one person sit at a computer and send one text message to millions of people simultaneously? Put that mass text messaging capability together with the MSM willingness to drag their feet when reporting something that might spoil their plans and you have a recipe for fait accompli.

And don’t think the Chicago Machine and Axelrod did not take notice of the effectiveness of text messaging to a mass movement.

Do we feel comfortable with the source and the conclusion of the article?

Let’s MAKE this story “have legs!”

Everyone e-mail this to the usual Fox suspects, as well as the others. Once Fox gets a hold of it, like Rev. Wright, the other stations should be shamed into carrying the story.

My biggest problem with Obama is that I’ve always believed him to be cynical and calculating in ways that were usually reserved for descriptions of Hillary. I do not believe he has the interest of Americans or American soldiers as his first priority, and I can believe easily (especially after the whole NAFTA incident)that he would use our troops as pawns for his own personal gain.

I wonder how many soldiers deaths are an acceptable amount to pay, in Obama’s mind, for his ascent to the oval office?

Comment by schmog | 2008-09-15 09:31:39

It is now on Drudge, so then Fox News knows about it. Maybe it will be talked about this week, hopefully. Obama needs to answer this.

Comment by Rob in Chicago | 2008-09-15 10:33:50

It would be sufficient to goad the MSM into action (to further report on this story) if the Bush administration Department of Justice under Mukasey made a few rumbling noises about a suspected violation of the Logan Act, and then stated that they would not pursue the investigation at this time due to a desire that such an investigation not be seen as a political witch hunt (but that the allegations would be further reviewed after November 4th).

Comment by Babs | 2008-09-15 08:44:29

I have always thought that the “do nothing” Democratic Congress of the past two years deliberately dragged its feet so that nothing good would happen to the country during the Bush years. Consider Nancy Pelosi’s refusal to take a vote on offshore drilling as the last example. Won’t oil prices come down if America adapts a “drill, baby, drill” policy? So why would the Dems want that to happen during the Bush administration when they can clearly stall and finally “see the light” if Obama is elected? These people are scum.

Comment by Perry Logan | 2008-09-15 09:00:17

Ignorance is a poor basis for criticizing people.

Here’s some of what the “Do Nothing” Congress did:

this 110th Congress has had more roll call votes this year than any other Congress in history, almost doubling the number under the previous Congress overseen by Boehner and House Speaker Dennis Hastert (R-IL):
The House last week held its 943rd roll call vote of the year, breaking the previous record of 942 votes, a mark set in 1978. The vote was on a procedural motion related to a mortgage foreclosure bill. When the House adjourned on Oct. 4 for the long weekend, the chamber had reached 948 roll call votes, putting Democrats on pace to easily eclipse 1,000 votes on the House floor in 2007.
Last year, the Republican controlled House held 543 votes, and for historical comparison, the last time there was a shift in power in Congress, Republicans held 885 roll call votes in 1995. The Senate, which has held 363 votes this year, isn’t on pace to break any records, but has already surpassed the 2006 Senate mark of 279 votes.
Much of the lack of progress can be traced back to obstructionism by conservatives.
Approximately “1 in 6 roll-call votes in the Senate this year have been cloture votes,” noted a JulyMcClatchy report. “If this pace of blocking legislation continues, this 110th Congress will be on track to roughly triple the previous record number of cloture votes.”
It’s interesting that Boehner is criticizing the 110th Congress as doing nothing. After all, the House, under his leadership, met for just 101 days during the second session of the 109th Congress, setting the record “for the fewest days in session in one year since the end ofWorld War II.”

Less than six months into the 110th Congress, Senate Democrats have made significant strides in passing important, common-sense legislation that reflect the priorities of the American people. After nearly a decade of Republican control, Democrats have worked to restore fiscal responsibility in Washington and pass key legislation on Iraq policy, homeland security, troop readiness, veterans’ health care, economic competitiveness, ethics reform, the minimum wage, health care, education, energy independence, stem cell research, and Gulf Coast revitalization. Democrats are committed to proving that elections do matter, and we will continue to pursue the international and domestic priorities that matter most to the American people. Together, we will take the country in a new direction.

Under Democratic leadership, the Senate has passed the following measures:

* A fiscally responsible budget: a budget that restores fiscal discipline and will lead to a surplus, while cutting middle-class taxes and funding foreign anddomestic priorities, including education, children’s health care, veterans, and our troops;

* 9/11 Commission recommendations: a bill to make America more secure by giving our first responders the tools they need to keep us safe; making it more difficult for potential terrorists to travel into our country; advancing efforts to secure our rail, air, and mass transit systems; and improving intelligence and information sharing between state, local, and federal law enforcement agencies;

* Homeland security funding: legislation that provides $1.05 billion in funding necessary to address dangerous border and transit vulnerabilities left open by the Bush Administration since 9/11;

* Support for our troops: legislation funding the President’s requests for Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, including $1.2 billion in additional funding for a total of $3 billion to provide our troops in Iraq with mine-resistant, ambush-protected vehicles;

* Health care for wounded soldiers and veterans: legislation that provides $3 billion in supplemental funds for military health care and $1.8 billion in supplemental funds to the Department of Veterans’ Affairs to accommodate the increasing number of new veterans returning home from Iraq and Afghanistan;

* Benchmarks for Iraq: legislation that conditions U.S. economic support for the Iraqi government on its progress toward achieving key political benchmarks;

* National Guard readiness: legislation to provide an additional $1 billion to President Bush’s request for National Guard equipment needs to remedy equipment shortfalls that are compromising the quality of force training and limiting the Guard’s ability to quickly respond to natural and potential man-made disasters at home;

* Continuing Resolution: legislation providing funding for the nine remaining appropriations bills that were not completed by Republicans in the 109th Congress. In passing this legislation, Democrats stayed within budget limits, eliminated earmarks, and increased funding for national priorities, including veterans’ medical care, Pell grants, elementary and secondary education, the National Institutes of Health, state and local law enforcement, and global AIDS prevention and treatment;
* Energy Bill: landmark legislation to increase our energy independence, strengthen the economy, reduce global warming emissions, and protect American consumers.

* American competitiveness: bipartisan legislation to increase the nation’s investment in basic and innovative research; strengthen educational opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics from elementary through graduate school; and develop the infrastructure needed to enhance innovation and competitiveness in the United States;

* Ethics and lobbying reform: a bill to slow the “revolving door” for former Senators and staff, strengthen limits on gifts and travel, expand lobbying disclosure requirements, establish a study commission on ethics and lobbying, prohibit pensions for Members of Congress convicted of certain crimes, and implement reform procedures relating to earmarks and conference reports;

* Minimum wage: legislation to increase the federal minimum wage to $7.25/hour;

* Middle-class tax cuts: the 2008 Budget Resolution provides for permanent extensions of the Marriage Penalty tax relief, the $1,000 refundable Child Tax Credit; the 10 percent income tax bracket; the adoption tax credit; the dependent care tax credit; U.S. soldiers’ combat pay for the earned income tax credit; and reform of the estate tax to protect small businesses and family farms;

* AMT patch: the 2008 Budget Resolution ensures that the number of taxpayers subject to the alternative minimum tax will not increase in 2007, giving Congress and the Administration time to come up with a permanent solution;

* Head Start: a bill to expand eligibility for the Head Start program;
* Stem cell research: legislation to expand the number of human embryonic stem cells eligible for federally-funded research;

* Children’s health coverage: the 2008 Budget Resolution and the 2007 Emergency Supplemental provide needed funds for the Children’s Health Insurance Program;

* FDA reauthorization: a bill to greatly improve the Food and Drug Administration’s oversight of drug safety;

* Rebuilding the Gulf Coast: legislation providing a total of $6.4 billion for victims of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, including $1.3 billion to complete levee and drainage repairs, $50 million to reduce violent crime in Gulf Coast states, and $110 million to repair the seafood and fisheries industries, which is vital to the region’s economic recovery;

* Army Corps reform: legislation to ensure that the Army Corps of Engineers does its job more effectively and soundly;

* Disaster assistance for small businesses: legislation providing recovery assistance for small businesses impacted by the 2005 hurricanes in an effort to revitalize the Gulf Coast economy;

* U.S. Attorney appointments: legislation ending the indefinite appointment of interim U.S. Attorneys and restoring the role of the Senate in the selection of U.S. Attorneys;

* Tax relief for small businesses: legislation providing a range of deficit-neutral tax incentives designed to help small businesses grow;

* Education and training: the 2008 Budget Resolution provides for the largest increase since 2002 in funding for elementary and secondary programs; and

* Energy and environment programs: legislation increasing funding for basic science research at the Department of Energy and for energy efficiency and renewable energy programs.

from Hot Air

Hypocrisy isn’t the issue here; it’s the interference of Obama in military and diplomatic affairs. Just on diplomacy, interfering with the United States in its diplomatic efforts is a Logan Act violation. Interfering with war policy treads on even more serious ground, especially since the primary motivation appears to be winning an election without regard to whether it damages our ability to fight the enemy or drives wedges between us and our ally, the elected, representative government in Baghdad.

FOX is doing a piece right now about how Gibson edited Palin’s answers…and a compare of the softball questions they asked Obama vs the question they asked her.

With Obama it was “how does it feel to be a the glass ceiling…….and tell me your touchy feely bullshit life story”

With Palin…….well we already heard that one.

Heavily edited besides. Heavily. Enough to misrepresent the actual answer.

What I find rather amazing is that “we the people” have a candidate (Obama) whose is vying to be “President of the United States” and he and his campaign incessantly condescends vs. insults various segments (groups) of the American population.

I am a constituent of one of the first and most provocative groups that were recipient of the snarky, back-biting invectives: a student of the rural /rurban “heartland” and “hinterland” of Central PA. Per Barack, we are BITTER!!! Sooo accordingly, we cling to our guns and religion and shun (dislike) anyone and everyone who is not of a similar disposition.

The female gender, of course, has been whacked/slimed via multiple, abusive venues: post the Sarah Palin VP announcement, working mothers are and have been irrationally demeaned. Obama’s radical feminist surrogates (the illustrious mental hemorphodites) are currently in attack mode; scoping into the cross-hairs of their loaded vile/vicious repartee the vilification of every American working mother….including all American children, who are not perfect (disabled), by sadistically denying them their right to life.

But, quite frankly, I am getting seriously provoked as to the relentless, caustic denigration of the “Senior Citizen”!!!!!!! Are his Campaign nerds/gurus crazy?????? Does Obama’s Harvard educated, elitist brain even consider that this particular voting-block (Seniors) is huge in every state and…..they are resolute voters.

Ask WHY he (Obama) is DROPPING IN THE POLLS???? Simply because BHO has zero common sense. The only groups of voters that haven’t been disparaged by the Obama Campaign are the: young, rich, elitist, well educated (Ivy Leaguers), and their ilk. Unfortunately, they do not represent the voting majority.

Regrettably, Obama’s abusive rudeness and offensive personal attacks (particularly against women and the elderly) have been so rampant……of epidemic proportions……that it is probably toooooo late to rectify the diverse societal damage that has been psychologically wrought on all these “salt-of-the-earth”, good “ordinary = extraordinary” people.

The psychology of a pathological liar thinks that they can overcome any obstacles and in some ways they do. That is why even after being reduced to nothing they keep coming back and never apologize or anything. It is a psychological illness that is very difficult to deal with.

I have to believe that Axelrod may be suffering the same illness or similar and that the two feed on each other. Axelrod is said is an accomplished marketing strategist. But one would need to study his accomplishments to see if they are legit or they end up in conditions like Lehman’s - bankrupting the customer and hurting the public.

Palin, by her mere existance on the ticket, has ripped off the facade of “equality”, “tolerance”, “big tent” “bipartisan ability” of the Democratic elite. Palin has exposed the bitter, ugly, ruthless battle for control of the Democratic party. The Hillary Democrats realize that the party has been hijacked by the marxist angy leftists, such as Pelosi/Dean/Kennedy/Brazille. The traditional Democrats understand that in order to regain control of the direction of the party, they have to wrest control from the ted kennedy obama pimp by voting AGAINST obama and exposing how he cheated his way to the nomination through the easily manipulated caucus’ during the primaries. My guess is that the VOTE MONITORS will comprise MANY, MANY Hillary Republicans. The traditional Democrats are as horrified at an Obam-i-nation as any Winger out there. PALIN POWER!!

Exactly, these left of left of left Fringe radicals are the reason we got Richard Nixon the second time. The majority of our party was not going to give control to these nutbags. Same thing happened with Dukakis. He surrounded himself with the Kiss of Death far left cliff fring partyp people. I do believe even most Obama supporters want her back. I know the ones I know regret thinking he was the best choice. Maybe they should do a poll!

If they are seeing that he is going to lose, I think the DNC has every right to replace him.

With all the Obamanible Showman and his movie star drama loving, I think he should fake his own assasination just like a movie! The DNC should force him to do it or be exposed as a fraud and criminal. There are more of them against him anyway. Too bad we have dem leaders who don’t lead!

Talk about genuine. She seemed to recognize a woman in front. She leaned over to get a hug and the woman kissed her on the cheek. As she was moving on, the woman tried to wiper her cheek, and Governor Palin responded, “it’s ok”.

A stark cry from the man pandering to the people in any effort to get a vote. Like in small town America, who wasn’t buying his sale of a kiss for a button and his photo ops with feeding animals or shooting a GUTTER (how fitting). Yes, the man who buys a new pair of shoes to do the deed, instead of wearing for a few moments a pair of shoes he would obviously never wear again. This should make EVERY AMERICAN SICK:

OBAMA TRIED TO STALL GIS’ IRAQ WITHDRAWAL

According to Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari, Obama made his demand for delay a key theme of his discussions with Iraqi leaders in Baghdad in July.

He asked why we were not prepared to delay an agreement until after the US elections and the formation of a new administration in Washington,” Zebari said in an interview.

So, while campaigning for a speedy withdrawl of US troops publicly (to get votes), Obama secretly tried to pressure Iraqis (and US military) to DELAY the withdrawl agreement until after the elections.

WHAT A LOAD OF BS!!!!!!!!

Everyone would recall Guliani at the RNC saying Joe Biden better have got that VP thing in writing.
Honestly, i hope he does do it. He will lose without a doubt. And if he changes to Hillary, i think that would ruin her career.
BUT, i bet Hillary told him from the jump she did not want the job.
You never even see biden. He has to be the worst pick. Obama only chose him because he was a washington insider. It totally undercut his message.
Obama is running in circles and cannot find a way out.
I want to say this as well. Do not pay attention to the media saying Mac is being negative. THEY ARE MAD HE IS NOT THE PUSHOVER THEY THOUGHT.

Also, there is a reason they ran the ads that are being called “negative”
That is the media is looked at so poorly by americans that they can run ads that are vicious and no one will care or believe the media when they start whining.
McCain is pulling a bait and switch. He made it seem as if he were going nuclear on obama to bait obma into attacking. Now McCain will pivot while obama is wallowing in the mud.
If McCain wins, and his campaign continues the way it is. It may very well get looked at as tactically one of the finest ever run.

I agree with the way you see McCain is running his campaign.

Obama may want to use the problems in Wall Street and Houston for his own gain but the problem is that with his lack of credibility he has no traction. He also does not have anything substantial to say about either. Obama is totally out of his league based on his inexperience. He has absolutely nothing to run with. He has even lost his ‘charisma’ now. A pathological liar never gives up so the fabrications will get more ridiculous by the day.

If you want a laugh wait until Oblahblah gives his assessment of why Wall Street ran into problems and why Houston is having so much troubles.

In heavily Democratic New York state the internal Republican and Democratic polls provided to The Post, have stunned members of both parties
BOOSTED by the selection of Sarah Palin as his running mate, Republican John McCain has experienced a surge of support among women in heavily Democratic New York state - where he has closed the gap with Barack Obama, new private polls show.

The internal Republican and Democratic polls, details of which were provided to The Post, have stunned members of both parties - and produced deep worries among Democrats.

One great concern for Democrats is that the data show a continuous movement toward the McCain-Palin ticket by women, a majority of whom traditionally favor Democrats.

Shocking New York Poll Obama 46% McCain41%

“Although New York has long been regarded as a ‘safe’ state for the Democrats in presidential politics, likely voters in the Empire State are currently only giving Senator Obama a five-point cushion,” said Steven Greenberg, spokesman for the Siena New York Poll. “The conventions are over. The running mates are set. And as voters begin to focus on the race, New York’s overwhelming Democratic enrollment advantage is not reflected in how voters tell Siena they plan to vote.”

Well, if the polls keep moving toward McCain, look for more and more hit pieces on McCain and Palin from the disgustingly biased liberal media. Yesterday the NYTimes ran an article about Sarah’s “vendetta” style of firing and hiring when she came into office as the Governor. It was full of opinion and innuendo, and they printed it on the front page as news. So, here you have a woman reforming state politics and getting rid of the graft, some of it in her own party, and because she got rid of the people in power who contributed to the graft and hired people she knew and trusted, we are supposed to believe she is lacking in judgment and not fit to be VP. The more frantic these people get with this kind of yellow journalism, the more they drive people toward McCain and Palin. Fully 69% of Americans now believe the media is biased favorably toward Obama, and if I were in the media I might just pay attention to that, but in their fervor to elect Obama, they are just not paying attention. Wonder if the NYTimes readership has been in decline these past few months - certainly hope so!!

him trying to delay withdrawal should be a sign to his supporters that he never gave a flip about the war.
He knew it was good for him politically. Democrats should be ashamed. Playing politics with Iraq is dems only card and since the surge is working it is gone.
That is yet another reason obama is slipping, Iraq was the issue that most likely won him the primary.
But, Obama was horribly wrong about the surge and REFUSES to admit it.
I hope the McCain campaign makes an ad with this. Exploit it as much as they can.
The guy who constantly says troops should be out was in iraq to make sure they stay so he can keep the issue for gain.
Let this cocksucker fry.

I hope every relative of every serviceman in Iraq reads this article somewhere and realizes that for the sake of his own political career, Barack Obama was ready to delay the draw down of troops from the Iraqi theater. Words cannot express the disgust I have for this man.

Seems that there is common OUTRAGE over obama’s attempt to thwart VICTORY in iraq. Obama’s mentor on methodology, Saul Alinsky, emphasizes that the end justifies the means. Anything is permissible, including vote-rigging, voter-manipulation, telling Scranton one thing and San Fran another, disenfranchising voters by technicalities on cast votes, intimidation, prevention of access to polling places, lies, lies and mores lies, and, naturally, exposing America’s sons and daughters to death, disfigurement, and demoralization in an effort to achieve the goal. Obam-i-nation will stop at nothing to crown himself “king” and begin the dismantling of freedom. This is beyond anything Kerry, Dukakis, Carter, Gore could conceive. The traditional Democrat, loathe to criticize its own, has had their blinders torn off and their heart laid bare. Their only alternative is to rid themselves of the enemy within. The thorn-in-the-gop-side, Mccain,will gladly assist. Palin is on the bottom of his ticket.

Democrats are ashamed. The eviscerating of hillary was stunning. Paralyzing. Coliseum contact sport. The misogyny was palpable. But, the nation has seen hillary steel herself, take the hits, and not only survive, but come into her own by her own efforts. While the nation watched. Polarizing? Absolutely. Politically skilled? Undoubtedly. Committed to traditional Democrat values? Unabashedly. Passionate Patriot? No one doubts Hillary’s love for America. Americans across this nation may argue as to WHY America believes hillary loves her homeland, but NO ONE doubts she does. America doubts Obama. Stupified Democrats recovering from the shock and awe of the ruthlessness of the community organizer gone national, will rise to the occassion, prove their patriotism, and rid their ranks of Judas, with 30 million smacks in the polls in November. This, is the battle cry for bi partisan patriotism. We are the ones he was not counting on…

Tess, great comment!
We need to do JOB 1 for our country!
November is the time, and it’s crucial that we are geared to go!

Uppity
Thank you for speaking for the millions and millions who are trying to help their children through college and put food on the table and who are over 40 like me and my husband and combined make around 60,000 a year. We do not see ourselves on the Jon Stewart show or Bill Mahr or CNN or MSNBC or any other liberal shows that have always said they stood up for us. We see movie stars, pundits, Rolling Stones writers and generally the elitists that support Obama. They ’say’ that Repubs are bad and Dems are for the people but we have found out during the primaries that they will not protect women, children, working classes, college students or anybody who isn’t from the Ivy Laegue schools and defending their agenda. The Dems have been exposed, they did not speak up for the best candidate, Hillary,they are cowards who will never repsresent me in this election. Palin is genuine, you’re right, she has problems like me and not only that she has not sold out to make it to governor by distancing herself from the people she represents. I also have 5 children all in their 20’s. 3 are voting McCain/Palin,1 is undecided and 1 is staying home. So far 5 of us will be switching for the first time in our lives to the Republican side. The Dems have no one to blame but themselves.

Uppity-great post, thank you. The video actually made me tear up–the clapping was so genuine and not some Moonie-like adoration. I can’t help thinking it should have been Hillary (top of the ticket only)….

I am so disgusted with the Democratic Party I feel like I must have been wearing blinders all these years. I was so angry when Nader said there was no difference between the Dems and the Repubs; and Al Gore would have made a tremendous president, especially compared to Bush the Younger, but both parties are too beholden to money and we need to shake things up.

I LIKE Sarah Palin and when I tell the other “elitists” I know they think I’ve lost my mind.

Of course, my husband grew up in Iowa and we know lots of people just like her–unpretentious, religious, organizers of Watermelon Days and the July 4th parade, mowers of their elder neighbor’s lawns; people who visit a relative in a nursing home and stay to see ALL the people from their small town; People who drive 4 hours to attend someone’s 90th birthday party.

I like those values. And they go just fine with my arugala salad and my chardonnay.

What the elites don’t get is genuineness. Here’s an link to an article by Conor Clarke at The Atlantic, defending the elites rejection of “the average” Sarah Palin. This is exactly WHY the Dems are going to lose in November.

“Wondering what you all think about this new “rumor” implying that there will be a ‘black rage uprising’ when Obama loses in November?”

Oooohhh, I am sooo scared - not! If Obama loses, and I’m 85% certain that he will at this point, the Obama-worshipping black leadership had better lay low for six months. There’s going to be a cleaning house in the democratic leadership, and Obama’s race-obsessed enablers, of all races, will be on the short list.

“You never even see biden. He has to be the worst pick. Obama only chose him because he was a washington insider. It totally undercut his message.”

Biden refused to be an attack-dog vice-presidential running mate, not out of principle but because he didn’t want to ‘ruin his brand’. So, why would Obama choose someone with so many deficiencies? Because he had no choice.

“If McCain wins, and his campaign continues the way it is. It may very well get looked at as tactically one of the finest ever run.”

He has certainly made the most important, game-changing vp pick since Kennedy chose Johnson in 1960.

What a great piece of Republican propoganda this blog is. First pretend to be Democrats for Hilary Clinton, and then try to steal all her supporters over to the Republicans.

How much is McCain’s team paying for this blog?

Of course, I might be wrong. The other possibility is that the blog writers are racist, but can’t bring themselves to admit it, and so cling to the defence of “he hurt OUR candidate, who’s a woman, so that makes it just fine for us to hate him.” Really - there’s no racism in those sentiments, honest. Not.

Two possibilities - which one is it?

Comment by karen for Clinton (sigh, McPalin now) | 2008-09-15 16:32:53

chris,

the obots have called us racists and a republicans daily, sometimes hourly, for the past year.

It isn’t even slightly true and you really do not have a clue who we are or what we believe or how we feel.

PUMA was formed following the steal of the century on May 31st at the RBC meeting. If you think that was something we could have predicted long in advance or that Hillary - the far better candidate, wasn’t our choice to prevail, you are wrong.

We wanted a floor fight, a credentials meeting hold their feet to the fire showdown that would take back our party and right the wrongs of the railroading hijackers from hell who stole this nomination.

You are dead wrong about us, but even more so we laugh at you because you fiercely support the most shitty candidate who ever ran for any party.

Gary Hart and Dan Quayle are not so pathetic anymore.

I know you want to believe that we Dems are really repubs and go ahead–you’ll find out soon enough what portion of the 18 mil like me that voted for Hillary are declaring the Democratic party dead until your boss loses. Racism? We can easily say that what he did to Clinton is sexism. So that card will never work, they threatened that to get him the nomination(Face the Nation interview April)Un fortunately, it won’t work in the GE. He’s incompetent, inexperienced and a phony, his color is irrelevant. But go ahead and believe what you want.

Comment by bayareavoter | 2008-09-15 15:36:34

Go ahead, call me a racist. I’ve always said the problem with Barack Obama’s color is that he is too GREEN!

I won’t even get into his questionable associates, decisions, two-forked tongue–HE HAS NO EXPERIENCE TO BE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!

What possibly qualifies him to be president? IF he had run as Hillary’s vp (I still don’t LIKE him) he might have learned something and we would have had 16 years of Dem leadership in the White House. But the arrogance of this guy and his hubris took over. And the Dem party disgraced itself buying the superdelegates and stacking the deck in MI and FL.

Most of us PUMAS have NEVER voted Republican in our lives. Big surprise coming in November for you OBots with your head in the sand.

uppity, as always you’re the tops. Great read, right on target and so direct. Thanks for keeping us all semi-sane through the twists and turns of this cycle from hell of an election process.

Comment by Nobama | 2008-09-15 16:15:56

Now, imagine if McCain said this, they would have an ad calling him senile, but, just like the ‘My muslim faith’ comment, no one says a thing about his ‘gaffes’:

Obama ‘Brags’ About ‘Negative Ads That Are Completely Unrelated to the Issues at Hand’
http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/Vote2008/story?id=5803765&page=1

“If we’re going to ask questions about, you know, who has been promulgating negative ads that are completely unrelated to the issues at hand, I think I win that contest pretty handily,” Obama said.

If this guy is such a genius, why does he says such foolish things?
