Barack Obama has received more money from this bankrupt and corrupt organization than any other member of Congress. In his very short time as a lawyer, Obama represented clients seeking to force Lenders to provide high-risk, subprime mortgage loans which are now at the center of our nation’s major crisis.

FRANKLIN RAINES (Obama Top Advisor): former CEO of bankrupt Fannie Mae who was fired for “accounting irregularities” and was given a $90 million Golden Parachute.

I take no money from special interests, he said on his commercials.

By on this blog I mean in the comments section. I keep seeing these anti-choicer Republicans pop up in the comments and bringing up the abortion issue again and again.

If only they could show some genuine religious compassion and stop harassing these women who are trying to do what is best in the most difficult situation anyone could ever imagine. A situation I pray to God these self-rightous people who so easily disregard women and their families will never face. All they ask is to CHOOSE what is the best medical decision in peace. Government has no business making these decisions, nor do other people who have not walked a mile in their shoes.

When Congress first considered the ban in 1995, Watts testified on Capitol Hill. So did Viki Wilson of Fresno, Calif., who had a late-term abortion because the brain of the fetus she was carrying had developed outside the skull. So did Vikki Stella of Naperville, Ill., whose fetus had no brain tissue and seven other major abnormalities.

Watts, Stella and Wilson point out that in virtually all cases, late-term abortions are the only way to respond to unanticipated complications: the death of the fetus inside the womb, problems that mean the fetus can’t live outside the womb, or serious threats to the mother’s health.

“No women has these procedures for frivolous reasons,” says Stella. “They have them because it’s their only choice.”

Pelosi’s comprehensive energy plan omits nuclear energy and clean coal.Why limit exploration for oil and natural gas to 50 miles ! Pelosi shelved the better energy plan and ajourned congress for 5 weeks.She went on a book tour !
She is an adament believer in Al Gore’s plan of making huge gains in not using oil in 10 years.Her view is “I’m out to save the planet from global warming.” Her and Harry Reid do not have comprehensive plans for energy independence in my book ,and are playing politics.
Where’s all the extra electricity going to come from Nancy to power our future cars ? If France can have 60% of it’s electricity generated by nuclear why not us?Will we end up like California some years ago with brownouts because not enough power plants were built. Maybe Pelosi needs a car with no engine and a sail on top .
I believe global warming is an issue but Nancy you can do better than this.As Senator McCain has said this issue is also a national security issue.
