I like how a shit-ton of Obama's bills benefit the AA community (including "low income" kids/students) or AA community leaders. Seems like he's living up to those guiding principles of the TUCC's Black Value System.

Absolutely correct. Obama is a rejection of traditional FDR politics and policies. Although I disagree with alot of McCain's positions he is not Bush and has a track record of moderation and reconciliation and has proven he can work with democrats. I don't know what Obama is. His positions are generally very fuzzy and lack specifics and where he does take a position he backtracks and says people don't understand what he means. He has not proven to me he believes in the separation of church and state, campaign finance reform, the right to privacy, and his position on Iraq. But the most troubling is his support and expansion of the use of private contractors in Iraq.

Why sure... In fact there is probably a good case for conspiracy... but who is rich enough, powerful enough, and patriotic enough to take this on? Actually we are. We have to use every resource we have to insure defeat. We number in the millions. There is one patriot now in Pennsylvania doing more than his share. We have to donate our time and money.
Defeat them, shame them and jail them if necessary.

The sheer arrogance of the DNC and the MSM says it all. I say PUSH BACK.

We don't put any important data on our computer, and don't even acknowledge that we have e-mail, when asked by merchants.

"Democrats genuinely subscribe to a set of core convictions"
Yeah, that's why I wasted 40 years voting for them! This old dog is going to learn some new tricks!

How can anyone honestly believe McCain & Palin are competent to deal with the economic crisis?

McCain, after all, is a Reagan Republican. He proudly proclaims himself to be just that.

Reaganomics, anybody? We know what it is and we know its results, because we've seen it in action for 20 years during the administrations of Ronald Reagan, George H. W. Bush, and George W. Bush.

The pitch is always the same: They'll balance the budget through reform in Washington and a war on wasteful spending; they'll lower taxes on business and the wealthy, stimulating investment and innovation; the resultant economic growth will create new wealth, which will trickle down to the rest of us.

What we got each time was over-stimulation of the economy at the cost of record federal deficits and a skyrocketing national debt, inflation, and wealth that rose upward instead of trickling downward. The pledge to eliminate "wasteful spending" didn't materialize, or took the form of cuts in social programs, infrastructure investment, or the selective disempowerment of regulatory agencies.

So, McCain is a "proud Reagan Republican"? Well, that I can believe. There's the same pledge to balance the budget, coupled with the same intention to cut taxes on the wealthy and corporations. The same argument is advanced that this will stimulate the economy, encourage innovation, create new jobs, etc etc. There's the same theory that prosperity above will trickle down to the rest of us. There's the same promise to reform government and cut wasteful spending.

We've heard the pitch the plan before. And seen the consequences. Anyone paying attention should also realize by now that the consequences are cumulative. The bigger the deficits the greater the debt--which now stands at nearly $10 TRILLION. The greater the debt, the closer we get to disaster.

Anyone who has continuously misused their own personal credit while spending more than they earn year after year should understand how that works.

I agree 100%. Once the radical left seizes power, it won't take any chances about losing it. The inner cities will conveniently go up in flames, or worse, and the election will be "postponed."

Here's what one Obama supporter thinks of America.

Dallas Mavericks' Josh Howard disrespects national anthem
In a video posted on YouTube, the swingman is shown at Allen Iverson's charity flag football game in July. When the national anthem is being sung, various participants are shown mugging for the camera. When the camera gets to Howard, he says: " 'The Star-Spangled Banner' is going on. I don't celebrate this [expletive]. I'm black."
Howard goes on to make a difficult-to-discern comment that includes a reference to Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama.

I don't know what gawker thought they were getting from this... but whatever it was it won't buy a lot of $400 an hour federal court attorney time. Whoever guessed her password until they got it right left a trail. They will be wearing an orange jumpsuit on national TV very soon.

This is from another PUMA site, and it upsets me. Looks like everyone is out to lynch Palin.

In stunningly self-centered, cruel fashion, Nicholas Provenzo, writer for the Center for the Advancement of Capitalism suggests that Sarah Palin’s decision to give birth to a child with Down Syndrome, is a financial burden that others are forced to suffer with.

Quote:
Like many, I am troubled by the implications of Alaska governor and Republican Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin's decision to knowingly give birth to a child disabled with Down syndrome. Given that Palin's decision is being celebrated in some quarters, it is crucial to reaffirm the morality of aborting a fetus diagnosed with Down syndrome (or by extension, any unborn fetus)—a freedom that anti-abortion advocates seek to deny.

Quote:
A parent has a moral obligation to provide for his or her children until these children are equipped to provide for themselves. Because a person afflicted with Down syndrome is only capable of being marginally productive (if at all) and requires constant care and supervision, unless a parent enjoys the wealth to provide for the lifetime of assistance that their child will require, they are essentially stranding the cost of their child's life upon others.

Jim Geraghty:
Racism: Noun, Common Synonym For Opposition to Barack Obama
The message is coming through loud and clear:

CNN's Jack Cafferty:

The differences between Barack Obama and John McCain couldn't be more well-defined. Obama wants to change Washington. McCain is a part of Washington and a part of the Bush legacy. Yet the polls remain close. Doesn't make sense…unless it's race.

The Youngstown Vindicator:

“Race — that’s the only reason people in the Valley won’t vote for him,” said state Rep. Thomas Letson of Warren, D-64th, about Barack Obama, his party’s presidential nominee. “There are 1,000 reasons to vote for Obama and one reason why you won’t — race.”

“Staunch Republicans” who make up 35 percent to 40 percent of the population would never vote for a Democrat regardless of race, Letson said.

It is the independents, the “swing voters” and Democrats who are or will support Republican John McCain who are the “racists,” Letson and state Rep. Robert F. Hagan of Youngstown, D-60th, said.

Dick Meyer, NPR:

Similarly, many people felt McCain's famous ad that called Obama a celebrity like Paris Hilton was subliminally racist, subtly playing on racist impulses that fear black men with white women, or that preyed on the idea that black men succeed only in celebrity arenas like sports and music.

Obama surrogate, Kansas governor Kathleen Sebelius:

"I think the notion that, 'By the way, have any of you noticed that Barack Obama is part African-American?' That may be a factor. All of the code language, all that doesn't show up in polls, and that may be a factor for some people."

Four years of this, folks!

I'm sure he'd love to siphon that money off to his crooked pals and stick Americans with their own retirement bills via 'tax free retirement savings' or some such rightwing nonsense.

That's certainly where his tax advisors are taking him.
