Obama the Master Plagiarist

Remember how during the primaries Barack Obama plagiarized the slogans and phrases of Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick? “Just words?” That was hardly a surprise because Obama’s media guru and ventroloquist, David Axelrod, also just so happened to have scripted Patrick’s words in his campaign for governor, too–the very same words.
Remember how Obama plagiarized John Edwards’ slogan from 2004, “Change We Need,” just so slightly changing the wording to “Change We Can Believe In,” and then at the Democratic National Convention this August how Obama changed his slogan to “Change We Need”? Shocked again? No need. Once again, David Axelrod was the author of all of the slogans above. The same ventriloquist.
Remember how Obama plagiarized Malcolm X’s speech about blacks being “bamboozled” and “hoodwinked,” as scripted by Spike Lee in his bioflick “Malcolm X”? You can see it here:
Now, in his new two minute TV commercial on the economy, Obama is plagiarizing again. He’s stolen a signature phrase from John Kerry–one that Kerry used prominently in his announcement speech for his presidential campaign and continuously in his stump speech: “This is no ordinary time.”
Don’t bother guessing where this one came from. The answer cannot be simpler. The source of that phrase is another behind-the scenes media guru and puppeteer, none other than Bob Shrum. Shrum is the champion, all-time loser of the Democratic Party consultants, having lost eight–count ‘em–eight–that’s right–eight–presidential campaigns beginning with George McGovern, right through dispensing rotten losing advice to Al Gore and John Kerry. He’s baaaaaaack!!!!!!!
In case nervous Democrats are wondering where Obama’s terrible campaign has been coming from, look no further.
“No ordinary time” is one of Shrum’s favorite phrases to insert into the mouth of political candidates. Where did Shrum steal the line? He got it from the title of Doris Kearns Goodwin’s history of the Roosevelt White House during World War II, “No Ordinary Time.” And she got it from a line spoken by Eleanor Roosevelt. And Shrum, poor slob, was once in love with Doris, but she rejected him in favor of former JFK speechwriter Dick Goodwin.
Now the desperate, idea starved Obama campaign has obviously reached out to the discredited Shrum, master of defeat, for more recycled words to put into the mouth of the candidate who only does well speaking from a teleprompter. No ordinary time!

Criticizing pharmaceutical companies’ ads, Obama joked: “You know those ads where people are running around the fields, you know, they’re smiling, you don’t know what the drug is for?”
Compare that with this staple of Edwards’s 2004 stump speech: “I love the ads. Buy their medicine, take it, and the next day you and your spouse will be skipping through the fields.”
The likely nexus: top Obama adviser David Axelrod, who played a similar role for Patrick in 2006 and for Edwards in 2004. That may explain the list of lines Obama lifted from Edwards — whose campaign compiled a list of the offenses before the candidate dropped out of the race.
Here’s Obama’s announcement speech in February 2007: “I know I haven’t spent a lot of time learning the ways of Washington. But I’ve been there long enough to know that the ways of Washington must change.”
Compare that with Edwards’s 2003 announcement speech: “I haven’t spent most of my life in politics, but I’ve spent enough time in Washington to know how much we need to change Washington.”
“We need a president not afraid to use the word ‘union,’ ” Edwards told a steelworker audience in July 2007. “We need a president . . . who is not afraid to mention unions,” Obama said a month later. Edwards, accepting the party’s vice presidential nomination in 2004, said, “Hard work should be valued in this country, so we’re going to reward work, not just wealth.” Obama, in turn, has been heard to say, “We shouldn’t just be respecting wealth in this country, we should be respecting work.”
“It’s no ordinary time.” You can say that again–and again. Better yet, do like Obama–let someone else say it and make it your own.

Jack Cashill’s website today posted Part I of a three part series examining the possibility that Bill Ayers was the ghost writer of Obama’s first book, “Dreams of My Father” or whatever the title is.
I don’t know anything about Mr Cashill other than what is written in Wikipedia, but his thoughts and investigation related to this is very, very interesting.
I was thinking about that very point here at my university. All the liberal professors who would report a student to a disciplinary committee for this are all too willing to look the other way when Barry does it. I wasn’t sooooo enamored of Hillary that I couldn’t tell and acknowledge when she made a mistake, but apparently the Obama true believers can’t admit any errors by the One. It’s disturbing because it is so much like a cult of personality.
Yup, these are no ordinary times.

DENVER (CBS4) ― Metro State College is investigating a professor who asked students to write an essay critical of Republican vice presidential candidate Gov. Sarah Palin. One student said the instructor singled out Republican students in the class and allowed others to ridicule them.
“I was shocked, I was holy cow, this is just an open door for him to discuss politics with us,” said Jana Barber, a student in the class.
Barber shared the first class assignment with CBS4. Instructor Andrew Hallam asked students to write an essay to contradict what he called the ‘fairy tale image of Palin’ presented at the Republican National Convention.
“What the faculty’s responsibility is to provide opportunity for critical thinking and civic engagement so bringing something of relevancy into the classroom was the faculty’s goal,” said Cathy Lucas, spokeswoman for Metro State. “Should he have broadened it and included all the political figures, yes.”
Metro State officials are investigating claims of bias, harassment and bullying.
Hallam declined an interview with CBS4. He has revised the assignment.
Students may now write about any of the candidates.

Actually we never saw any transcripts of grades from Obama, nor any of his brilliant ideas or his work while there. Apparently, he graduated from Columbia without apparent distinction..i.e. cum laude, or sum laude. And without anybody coming forward remembering him from his time there. Which begs the question how somebody could graduate Columbia without distinction, be a student nobody even remembers… and yet get into Harvard. So yes, we are all begging to see just how brilliant Obama really is. Show us the transcripts and the LSAT scores… of the great leader know as “The One”.
Just going to fancy schools does not equal ‘brilliance.’ Especially when there is some strange reason BO won’t release any of his marks from anywhere, and few students or faculty seem to recall any other evidence of ‘brilliance.’

Why in the heck do you automatically think that having a degree from Harvard makes you brilliant? May I remind you, that the current resident of the Oval Office has an MBA from Harvard. Need I say more? Obama was surely given a little “help” by the faculty because he is a minority. This is quite common practice, and I personally witnessed this myself when I was in college. Graduating from Harvard or any college/university does not guarantee that a person has any common sense whatsoever or the ability to function in the real world. I know plenty of stupid people with college degrees, and plenty of super smart people who only have a high school diploma or less.
Please name notable awards that Obama has received and/or significant pieces of legislature that Obama is soley responsible for.
Has he penned and published scholarly pieces of work?
What is Obama’s IQ? What are his LSATS? What are his grades in law school?
Does he play musical instruments? compose music? Has he made any major discoveries?
His speeches are self serving, lack accuracy, meandering, and have produced no lasting effect except in the most negative fashion.

1. McCain went to one of the service academies. They have very very high standards for admission so he was already eminently qualified to start with. And, the ranking in class is not totally academic, it also includes things like discipline. He was a maverick then as now and it doesn’t go well in an authoritarian establishment.
2. Many many Americans go to more than one college. It is no reflection at all on academic ability, but on making the most of educational opportunities. It shows resilience and determination if anything.
I love how Obots think putting down people- like Palin- who went to state colleges and universities will get middle America to vote for Oblahblah. Where do they think most Americans go to school or send their kids off to school?

Actually, while as a McCain supporter I was happy to see Obama win the nomination because I thought he’d be easier to beat than Hillary, I can definitely see why the Clinton people think that the game was rigged against them. For one thing, it’s common knowledge that the Obama campaign actively encouraged college students who resided in neighboring states to drive across state lines to participate in Democratic caucuses.
The caucuses are where Obama got his early momentum. Granted, Hillary made a mistake in not taking the caucus states seriously. But there was definitely some hanky-panky going on there. Had it not been for his victories in the caucus states, Obama would not have won the nomination. In almost every state where there was a real Democratic primary, Hillary won, usually by comfortable margins.
Also Obama encouraged Republican that could cross lines to be a Democrat for a day. haha

I am actually very frightened at this point. I just had a long lunch-hour conversation with a friend who thinks I need to be re-programmed. She would not listen to anything I said about Obama. She says I have been reading all kinds of lies, but refuses to check them out. She said, if it came from anywhere but the Obama campaign and the Democratic party, it was just progaganda.
We are paying for the Rovian style of campaign. Many, many of my friends who are Democrats just won’t listen now to anything that doesn’t come from the party because they just don’t trust Republican ads or 527 ads.
It’s hard to be without friends and family during this election.
But, I have learned to believe in my own ability to think and judge. It won’t be the first time I was right and many others were wrong.
I just really do wish it were all over, that McCain was able to finally pull it off, and that we could settle in to his presidency and Hillary’s leadership in the Senate.
