OK – I have more than had it from liberal women attacking Gov. Palin. Again, I hasten to add that I was always one clinging to the far LEFT corner of the Democratic Party, so no centrist or Republican am I. First it was Gloria Steinem, then it was Eve Ensler (and don’t let her current diatribe against Governor Palin fool you – she was always for Obama. If you haven’t read Ani’s EXCELLENT piece at NoQuarter, “Ladies, If You Didn’t Vote For Hillary..Why Are You Screaming About Your Rights Now??“, I urge you to do so.). But – this has gone too, too FAR, courtesy of Sandra Bernhard. What she said is so reprehensible, it makes me ill to even write about it. So, I won’t. Instead, I’ll let Tim Graham describe it for me:
The Washington Post isn’t the only daily D.C. newspaper to rave about Sandra Bernhard’s anti-Palin ranting. Wednesday’s Washington Examiner joined in, with the headline “Comedienne delivers enraged optimism.” Barbara Mackay claimed “in the end, oddly and subtly, Bernhard’s message is positive.”That’s not the impression you’d get from the blog of Theater J, where Bernhard is appearing. It has video of Bernhard calling Palin “Uncle Women,” a “turncoat b—h” and a “whore.” One complaint on the blog that Bernhard crosses a line of political incorrectness draws a defense from Ari Roth of Theater J that really drops the curtain on how coarse this show is:
“In fact, the play wears its politically VERY correct heart on its sleeve with its indictment of America as “A Man’s World, It’s a White Man’s World, It’s a F–ked Up White Man’s Racist World” and can only be suggested to be racist in its content if one is hell-bent on protecting White Folk for Sandra’s blistering indictment.When Sandra warns Sarah Palin not to come into Manhattan lest she get gang-raped by some of Sandra’s big black brothers, she’s being provocative, combative, humorous, and yes, let’s allow, disgusting.The fact that the show has a few riffs like this does not — to my mind — make it a “disgusting show.” there’s too much beauty, variety, vitality, and intelligence to label the entire show as “disgusting.” I’ll agree with you that we produced this show because we did find it to be edgy — because we wanted to give right wing conservative Jews a good run for their money by being on the receiving end of some blistering indictments from Sandra. Does it go over the edge sometimes? On the gang-rape joke, yes. Sure. Not much else. It goes over the edge and then comes right back to the cutting edge.” [Profanity editing is Graham's.]
Forgive me if gang-rape jokes don’t greet my ears as oddly and subtly positive, as the Examiner suggests, and forgive me if gang-rape jokes aren’t “a rotating sprinkler that a spectator washes in most happily,” like the Washington Post insists.

I gotta agree with Tim here. As a lifelong feminist, I don’t see one damn thing funny about suggesting ANY woman be gang raped. Nothing. Not anywhere close to funny. And when it comes from a WOMAN about another woman, well, that just screams internalized misogyny to me. Oh – and I don’t see how that can end up being “positive” at all.
Add on top of that the RACISM of this statement (no matter what Roth says – that is racist), and it just boggles the mind that THIS is the kind of person with whom anyone would want to associate their cause, or campaign, or beliefs. But that’s just me.

Roth insisted to the complainer that the D.C. Jewish Community Center is loving their Bernhard show, and partied with Bernhard on opening night. They’re in tune with her right-bashing rage:“We’re proud of our producing — proud of Sandra’s sense of timing — taking the fight out to the house and to the street beyond, channeling so much of our rage and frustration at the bizarre recent twists of fortune since Karl Rove trotted out Sarah Palin for John McCain to briefly meet and then get in bed with. Sandra’s face is hanging 10 feet tall in a banner over the DCJCC steps and we’re proud that she’s a new emblem and ambassador for our theater and our center. She’s not the only one who represents us. But her large heart, her generous talent, and her big mouth are all a big part of who we are.”
“Who we are” at this theater clearly isn’t someone who’s interest(ed) in presenting anything other than rage. The video itself, presented like a commercial for the show, explains who the show is intended to please. The average person probably wouldn’t find it the least bit funny. But if you really, really hate Sarah Palin or Christian conservatives, this show is for you. Here’s some of what she says in the promo:
“Now you got Uncle Women, like Sarah Palin, who jumps on the s–t and points her fingers at other women. Turncoat b—h! Don’t you f–kin’ reference Old Testament, bitch! You stay with your new Goyish crappy shiksa funky bulls–t! Don’t you touch my Old Testament, you b—h! Because we have left it open for interpre-ta-tion! It is no longer taken literally! You whore in your f–kin’ cheap New Vision cheap-ass plastic glasses and your [sneering voice] hair up. A Tina Fey-Megan Mullally brokedown bulls–t moment.”
Is it too broad an interpretation to suggest that when Bernhard attacks Palin’s “new Goyish crappy shiksa funky bulls–t,” she means the New Testament? It sounds like she’s telling the Christian(s) to stay away from “her” Old Testament, as if Christians don’t have an Old Testament in their Bible. It’s quite clear that the D.C. Jewish Community Center is not attempting an interfaith dialogue with this rantfest.
Oh, boy. I have to admit – I just do not see how anyone justifies that type of ranting against anyone anyway. But I guess I do not understand the need to vilify anything and everything even remotely connected to Sarah Palin. As I said above, until May 31st, I was a diehard, yellow-dog Democrat, but I cannot see why there is such a high level of animosity directed toward Palin, ESPECIALLY by women! What the hell with that already? Is it that these women resent SO much how Palin, a conservative Republican, seems to have done EVERYTHING feminists claimed we wanted for ourselves, including labeling herself a feminist?? Are they resentful? Envious? Angry that she has done it her way? Are they that intimidated by her that they feel compelled to diminish her in any way they can, including calling for her to be “gang raped by black-brothers in Manhattan”? I’m sorry – there is just no excuse for that. It is not positive, it is misogynistic as all get out, and it undermines the speaker, not the subject. It is offensive, and it is shameful. Women do not need to jump on this bandwagon – as this campaign season has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt, there are plenty of men willing to do it for us. This financial crisis was all the doing of Greenspan and Bush for not firing Greenspan in 2001. This business of growing the economy by growing the service sector and specifically through pushing real estate prices as collateral was all Greespan agreement with Bush. Bush just thought that like the war, he would retire before the floor gave under.
Barack doesn’t know where his nose is in the act. His only idea is to grow government to be likable. Hillary too. That’s why she’s supporting him. The reality of what the U.S. economy is looks quite a puzzle to those who bet bigger government always makes many friends.
The next step for Obama and Hillary is to accept that taxes will have to go up substantially to pay for all of those promises they keep making. They need to collect 4 trillion per year from a service sector economy. Even the less illustrated know that taxes are a killer to a service sector economy. You simply pull back and do less in order to save money.
2009 will loose some 5 million jobs. Obama and Hillary have been promising 5 million new jobs by financing energy conservation measures. People will not have money to buy those products and pay taxes at the same time.
Wake up people, Gov. Palin is the only one offering the American people the solution to grow our economy. And is amazing that she just appear from nowhere.
Hillary has nothing to do with this. It’s Obama who’s going to expand the FBI and create the Neighborhood Project and pass the Dream Act for illegal Hispanics. Hillary had the greatest economic plan in the history of this country. She was going to make us a manufacturing nation again and get illegal cheap labor out of this country so legal Americans could have good jobs in Green Manufacturing. McCain has a similar plan.
What is Green Manufacturing?
Just so everyone knows, we are actually still a manufacturing nation. We’ve just automated to the point that we have fewer manufacturing jobs, while still keeping quite a bit of manufacturing here in the US. Could we increase manufacturing in the US? Sure. Quit taxing manufacturing companies, as if that wasn’t actually a tax on the consumer. Our manufacturers have to pay a tax on all sales, including exports, whereas EU companies do not pass on a tax to the buyer when they export.
Not true. We are a money-moving nation, we import nearly everything we buy in this country. Hillary said that even during Bill’s campaign we believed we couldn’t stop the global market from taking manufacturing jobs away from the U. S. but now we can become a manufacturing nation again by taking the initatiave with earth-friendly products and alternative energy. If you had listened to her town hall talks, you would know all about this and understand it.
And if you really knew about business practices you would also know that the real problem with U. S. manufacturing is that it has not been regulated since Reagan. CEOs just get greedy. No matter how much money they make (including not paying appropriate taxes) they pocket the profits and keep raising prices and keep over-producing. (that’s what caused the Great Depression–overproduction and overpricing while consumer power diminished because wages were so low and not enough workers were hired). During the Bush years, corporations even paid Mexican smugglers to bring Mexicans into the country illegally so they would hardly have to pay anything for labor. This has NOT lowered the price of the goods. The CEOs just pocket the profit.
Better go back and study up on how businesses work in the U. S. and stop dissing Hillary for what is Bush’s fault.
Also, if you don’t know what Green Manufacturing is, then you don’t know anything about Hillary Clinton.
Whether we want to admit it or not, it is President Clinton who should have fired Greenspan as early as 1996.

In Clinton’s terms people like Greenspan were regulated and watched, Clinton had the best economy in this country since WWII.
A large part of the success of the Clinton economy was the speculative bubble in stock prices, especially high tech stocks, that developed during his second term and that didn’t pop until early 2001. The Fed under Clinton was just as culpable in providing the funding the inflate the internet bubble as it was under Bush in inflating the real estate bubble.
The problems are systemic and both Republicans and Democrats bear an equal part of the blame. The rules of the game need to be changed. McCain is much more likely to aggressively press for this as president than is Obama. Obama is a creature of Democratic party politics and is totally beholden to traditional Democratic interest groups. McCain has made his career taking on established interests.
Doesn’t this failure of the entire financial system in the U. S. mean that we are now in the same place as Mexico? The First World gave Mexico billions to prevent them melting down and the wealthy cabal at the top spent it all and absconded the country. How do we know that won’t happen here?

I always have a problem when someone points to ONE FACTOR as the cause of a serious social problem. Study some logic: sufficient causes, necessary causes, contributing causes, immediate causes, distant causes. It is very rare that there be a sufficient cause.
I am pretty sure that both the Democrats and the Republicans are involved in causing this financial crisis, as well as the people of this country, in general.
I am just not an economist, but then even the economists disagree.
I balance my checkbook every month. Bill Clinton’s idea of balancing the budget seems just the thing. We need to stop worrying about who/what caused it and begin really discussing how to solve it.
And it won’t do if we get too caught up in who’s at fault and who’s suggested solution is THE ONE solution. Solving this problem cannot be politicized.
I’d say the problem as always been greed, and wanting too much money or power or stuff that we can’t afford. And I am pretty sure we can blame that on Republicans, Democrats, Independents, Women, Men, Teenagers, Children, Christians, Jews, Muslims, New-Agers–etc., etc.
So we all better suck it up and work on solutions.

As Wasilla’s mayor, Sarah Palin was a control freak whose impetuosity led our town to ignore well-noted title concerns and commence building an expensive sports complex on private property belonging to someone else, which when all the ongoing litigation is done, will leaave our town saddled with an enormous debt. She’s a detached governor who seems entirely more interested in using her office to settle old family scores than do the people’s business. And now that she’s a candidate for vice president, she’s allowed the McCain campaign to usurp control of her office.
The State of Alaska can be fairly held up as a collective poster child for what’s wrong with the Republican Party. We have several state legislators serving time in federal prison for corruption, several others still under federal investigation, a sitting U.S. Senator indicted and awaiting trial for the same, and our only congressman has turned his campaign coffers into a legal defense fund for reasons he refuses to articulate. Now, we have a governor who backpedals from her stated promise to cooperate with a bi-partisan ethics investigation of her office’s involvement in the firing of her public safety commissioner, Walt Monegan.
Anybody who falls for her schtick is a fool who deserves to be taken for a ride – again. And judging by what I read here, there’s apparently no shortage of you.
Then, judging by her 90% approval rating in Alaska, I guess you’d find a lot of people (besides you) who really like her.

GREAT post rev. amy. couldn’t have said it better myself if i’d worked on writing it for a year. i’m disgusted with the dems, esp the women, and i have to say, for the most part women boggle my mind. we have power in numbers and yet, too many women love to kick each other. sadly, women embody the crab mentality too wholeheartedly. i have a dream, too, that women will someday realize how amazing and strong we are together and FINALLY take back the world that was ours.

My daughter and I were there, waiting for 5 hours in the sweltering heat but it was worth it! The crowd was HUGE but had no idea how many were there. One parking lot was filled with golf carts as this is their main mode of transportation. The crowd was cheering, supportive and welcoming. Great day!

After one of his more famous gaffes during the primaries. it may have been the 57 states statement, Obama blamed it on being tired, exhausted and not being able to think clearly. The stress of sitting in the Oval Office far exceeds anything on the campaign trail. Campaigns are scripted events, There is no script to read from when sitting behind that desk in the Oval Office or laying in bed at 3:00AM and “The Call” comes. The is no saying I’m too tired to think, I will get back to you after a shower and a cup of coffee.

I am sorry, I cannot even read the description of the Gang Rape article. I have a friend who was raped in the Air Force. She was an officer raped by her commander. She turned him in. After a long case and long story, she created a non-profit for Armed Forces Rape Victims. That is when I met her. She was giving a talk at the Veterans for Peace. According to her work, Men, Women and Children get raped. And, yes little girls get gang raped too. And, she said, “Rape is about Power. It is to entrain the vicitm with fear.” So, that woman who made those jokes is like a Rapist to me and the audience are giving her the right to victimize the raped. In essence, the audience is Gang Raping.

This election cycle has pretty much burned up most of my respect for so many people. Not that I ever had any for Bernhard who typifies a particular kind of venom spewed by a woman who has deep resentment for the physical features she was born with.

Rev. Amy My sister-in-law sent Gloria Steinem’s email to me yesterday. I have never known her to be interested in politics and I don’t know who forwarded it to her, but there were multiple addresses so it is being spread around by someone.
It is incomprehensible that she (Steinem) would say such things when just weeks ago the Obama bloggers called her racist because she agreed with Geraldine Ferraro. I got an email from NOW yesterday saying they would be endorsing Obama. They put up only a token protest in defense of Hillary and, after the convention, posted a ridiculous poll to choose which media pundit said the most sexist things during the primary. It is the only women’s org I haven’t dropped out of in the last six months because I have a very strong emotional commitment to NOW. I’ll cancel my membership next week, but it will hurt.
I received a letter from a friend who lives in another state yesterday and she will be voting for Obama. We don’t see each other often, but we have always shared similar views and when we do get together, it is so enjoyable. I know she will be shocked I am not voting for him. I’m hoping this will not damage our friendship. She isn’t happy about her choice, but can’t bring herself to vote Republican.
My daughter called last week. Her father (my ex) told her he would get tickets for an Obama rally in a neighboring town if I was interested in going. I told her to thank him for me, but the only way I would go see him would be to protest and she was very quiet. She has told me she won’t be voting this year because she doesn’t like either candidate. There is an abortion issue on the ballot here in our state and she will go just to vote against it and for the down ticket Dems.
Roe has become a giant chain wrapped around the necks of every woman I know, Republicans and Democrats. Politicians have used it for years to drive a wedge between women and it has worked so well, we haven’t really felt the abuse until this year when one woman from each party has a major candidate.
I believe the ERA was defeated by women. The first time it came up for a vote, I left a local org for women when I found the majority were opposed to it’s passage. The reasons they gave were selfish and narrow (and stupid IMO). One woman actually said she was afraid it would effect her alimony. Until women stop being enablers, sexism will exist. There is so much potiential power and I know it is recognized by elected officials and they are afraid of this large segment of the population being united.

Bernhard talked about marginally supporting Kerry in 2004 and then meeting him in person and getting his elitist brush off.

Her ’shtick’ has always been to shock people. It is how she makes a living and I doubt that decency or conscience enters into it.
To wish this kind of horrid violence on any woman, or any person is horrible and inexcusable.
This election has brought out the truly ugly side of many — and that ugliness is coming from some very unexpected quarters.
As much as I don’t even want to give something like this oxygen, it is important to do so. Perhaps when people take a cold hard look at what is happening here, they will find it within themselves to reject this kind of disgusting discourse and help stop perpetrating this kind of verbal violence — which does lead to physical violence because putting these kinds of filthy notions out in the air give them ‘permission.’

I think is funny that the entire world has turned left on account of saving the world from imminent self destruction. Actually, in many of her shows, Sandra did a jazzy vamp persona in which she actually sang a number of classic tunes (Cole Porter, Rodgers & Hammerstein, the Gershwins) and, to me, these were always the best part of the shows. While her humor has always been edgy and quite often an acquired taste*, her musical performance was right there with the likes of Peggy Lee and Judy Garland (or, early Bette Midler sans the campiness).
*Her most accessible sense of humor is seen in sitcoms where she’s been a guest star such as “Roseanne” and “Will & Grace” (on the former she played a part and the latter she played herself) and has had to rely largely on staff sitcom writers to keep her fairly toned down.
Oh, I couldn’t even watch her.
Sandra B is just a washed up has been who was desperately trying to get some attention from the Hollywood Elite who have been bashing and attacking her.

What I want to know is whether the IRS will look into revoking the tax exempt status of TUCC. One of the conditions of granting tax exempt status to religious institutions is that they refrain from political activity. Anyone reviewing the videotapes of the “sermons” at TUCC can readily tell that this particular prohibition went out the window long ago.
All of Obama’s religious friends are blatantly partisan. They don’t bother to try to hide their bias. Particularly the “sermon” where Rev. Wright is telling the congregation that Bill Clinton was doing the same thing to them he did to Monica Lewinsky and Rev. Wright simulates sexual activity with the pulpit.
And how about Father Phleger’s sermon at TUCC in which he mocks Hillary. This is another one of Obama’s spiritual advisers by the way.

How anyone can even consider voting for someone who went to a church whose doctrine is based on Black Liberation Theology whose premise is anti-white, anti-semitic, anti-American theology is beyond me! When I say this to an Obama supporter, they pooh-pooh it and say oh, he doesn’t believe that! Doesn’t believe it???? He went to that church for 20 years, the pastor of that church was like an uncle to him and was his “spiritual advisor”, married he and Michelle, baptized his kids and was his campaign advisor until the media looked into the church a little bit and pulled back the onion and busted him. Even then, he hesitated on throwing Wright under the bus until he absolutely HAD to in order to continue his campaign or drop out because of it.
If you don’t understand Black Liberation Theology, google it. It’s based on Black Power, hatred of whites, allegiance to Africa, etc. I know all African Americans don’t believe in this – a lot of them think this is far too radical for them, but Obama and Michelle obviously do – they went to that church, they supported it with their money, they stayed their for all those anti-white, anti-America sermons while all around them people were clapping and laughing and agreeing.
Do you really want a President of our country who supports this kind of thinking and who’s now hiding it in order to get elected? I don’t!

Just watched Obama/McCain on 60 minutes. As usual McCain talked in concrete terms while Obama said nothing of substance. He said he should be president because he can sit violently opposed people down in the same room and bring them together. Palin draws crowd of 70,000 in The Villages

THE VILLAGES — Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin told wildly cheering, flag-waving, chanting supporters Sunday that John McCain is “the only great man in this race” and promised he will fix the nation’s economy if voters give the GOP four more years in the White House.
“He won’t say this, so I’ll say it for him,” the Alaska governor said in an almost confidential tone at the close of her first Florida stump speech. “There is only one man in this election who has ever really fought for you. John McCain wore the uniform of his country for 22 years — talk about tough.”
The Villages, a vast, upscale planned community north of Orlando, has about 70,000 mostly adult residents — many of them military retirees — who vote reliably Republican in statewide races. Tens of thousands inched along roads into the picturesque town square of the complex, where they stood in sweltering heat for about four hours as local GOP officials and a country band revved up the crowd.
“Sa-Rah! Sa-Rah!” they chanted at every mention of her name, applauding loudly and waiving tiny American flags that were distributed — along with free water bottles — by local volunteers. The fire chief estimated the crowd at 70,000.
Admiring throngs mobbed the Palin family’s arrival and departure, snapping souvenir pictures. Autograph seekers thrust campaign signs, caps with the McCain-Palin logo and copies of magazines with her face on their covers, and the Palins responded warmly.
Palin, her husband and three of their children arrived in Orlando but spent a family day at Disney World, she said as she introduced her entourage to the enthusiastic crowd. She joked about similarities and differences of the two states at opposite corners of America, but was all business when she focused on the need for a large voter turnout in a hotly contested state with 27 electoral votes.
Recent polls have given the McCain-Palin ticket a single-digit edge but Florida is clearly up for grabs. Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., campaigned from Jacksonville to Miami late last week and the Democrats have mobilized a massive volunteer effort statewide. McCain, who led the Jan. 29 state primary with a big boost from popular Gov. Charlie Crist, has strong support in the vital I-4 corridor and across North Florida, where conservative southerners tend to register as Democrats but vote Republican in statewide races.
In a theme Palin would pound home, GOP Chairman Jim Greer Greer said Obama and his running mate, Delaware Sen. Joe Biden, have records of voting for higher taxes and have said on the campaign trail that they would increase regulation of financial markets.
“John MCain and I are going to take our case for reform to every voter in every background and every party, or no party at all,” said Palin. “We’re going to Washington to shake things up.”
She said “John McCain warned Congress that we needed to do something before these problems became a crisis,” but that Washington — including Obama and Biden — did not act for months as financial giants teetered and toppled.
“Americans are caught in kind of a perfect storm between high taxes, high gas prices, greed on Wall Street and a shortage of courage in Washington,” she said. “But we need new leadership in Washington — we need serious reform on Wall Street.”
Palin, whose son shipped out for Iraq this month, made a point of asking veterans and military members in the crowd to raise their hands for a round of applause.
Then she recalled that McCain took an early, unpopular stance in support of the Iraq troop surge, a policy shift now widely credited with stabilizing Iraq. “That’s the kind of man I want as commander in chief,” she shouted, as applause and whoops rose in the town square. “John McCain is the only great man in this race.”

I spent a lot of time, money, emotion, etc. on Hillary and she is stabbing two people in the back that don’t deserve it, while she supports the most DANGEROUS THREAT TO AMERICA in our history. Seems kind of stupid to me and I think much less of Hillary now and always will. If she runs in 12 I won’t vote for her. PERIOD.

Great post! There’s a disturbing trend I’ve noticed throughout Barack Obama’s short-lived “reign.” This guy brings out the very worst in people. I’m not just talking about his opponents. That’s a given. What I find creepy is how even his most vapid fans sink to the lowest common denominator in showing allegiance to their idol. These Obama worshippers enter into what can best be described as a slave before their master mentality.
No self respecting female would turn on another woman in the vicious way Sandra Bernhard, Gloria Steinem, Hollywood & others of their ilk have turned upon Sarah Palin. The level of hatred these types harbor against Gov Palin is staggering. Worse, this cheap brand of “sisterhood” represents the larger scope of a Barack Obama presidency and it’s not a pretty picture.
It is Barack Obama himself who set the divisive tone for his campaign. His followers not only lack class but they display a level of ignorance and intolerance that is unprecedented. These hate mongerers are a disgrace to humanity.
There is only one way to save the Democratic Party and that is by voting Republican Nov 4. There is only one way to recover our Democratic sensibilities and that is by ousting from the DNC those who created this Frankenstein monster–Dean, Pelosi, Brazile, & Reid to name a few.
The attacks on Sarah Palin by other females are symptomatic of their jealousy of what Sarah has managed to accomplish in her life. Her accomplishments are those that progressive females “supposedly” fight for, but since Sarah does not fit into their “progressive” mold, Sarah does not benefit from the female solidarity and support that would normally accompany unfair misogynistic attacks. Progressive females need to realize that they do not have a lock on what it means to be a feminist. There are many Republican females who have fought for feminist causes and ideas, and who have overcome sexism to become successful. They are no less deserving of support from those who claim to promote female interests.
I suspect that it really bothers some females to see Sarah Palin successfully navigate the Republican male dominated political waters. This is an anathema to them as it is the Republican party that supposedly keeps females down. How could Sarah accomplish anything in the Republican political environment? The Democratic party is the champion of females, but obviously that is more in theory, not in fact. The Democratic party has taken the women’s vote for granted for years. John McCain made an excellent choice in Sarah Palin because it has shook up the political world. The Democrats can no longer state that they are the party that promotes feminism. One only needs to see how Hillary Clinton was treated by the Democratic party during the primary season, and then compare that to how John McCain chose a female as his running mate to understand the significance of how the political world has been turned upside down during this election campaign.
JM course its jealousy. Are any of the women attacking Palin one tenth as attractive? Do they have a chance in a million of finding a guy who digs them like Todd Palin digs Sarah. Could any of them be the most popular Governor in the country while bringing up 5 kids? Those who can DO — those who can’t TEACH.
There are certain things that you should just never wish on others. You should never wish something terrible will happen to someone else. It will come back to bite you. I subscribe to the old Celtic or Wiccan belief that whatever you put out into the world comes back to you three times three. So if Sandra Bernhard is wishing that Sarah Palin gets gang raped, she really is pushing her luck.

Excellent article. It all boils down to the fact that some women will not support any woman who is different then their tight little circle. I find it reprehensible that this comedian, If you can call her that, uses her stage to spew vile statements against Sarah or any woman who is not like her.

I absolutely love the original “Without You I’m Nothing” show, but come on edgey and provacative? maybe i the late 80s, but doing a revival of the show 20 years later is like Barbra Streisand doing a revival of funny girl…its equivalant to a farewell tour to get your career going again so you can come out of retirement.
No offense to farewell tours, but Ms Bernhard was a lot more entertaining and interesting when she was young and hungry. People in general seem to have very little restraint against lying as long as they are getting their dirty deeds done doing it.
