Sandra Bernhard, Ugliness A Blind Black Man Can See

Maybe this was a publicity stunt, but Sandra Bernhard’s performance merits a comment and condemnation. If you have not heard, here is her vile assault on Sarah Palin:
After watching that display there is only one conclusion–Sandra Bernhard is uber ugly. But I am not referring to her face. Physical beauty is something superficial and temporary. It dissipates with age. It is the combination of her words and the meaning she imparts to those sounds coming out of her pie hole. She has the right to speak her mind, but to call it comedy is to take irony and sarcasm to a new level. A blind person, regardless of sex, would not require sight in order to know the horror of Bernhard’s soul. She is ugly to the core. So, raping women is funny as long as a woman says it? You think those folks who embrace Sandra’s bile would also guffaw about a Bernhard rant on lynching an uppity black politician? How about her offering to give Jewish supporters of John McCain a shower with Zyklon B gas?
Hell no! It is one thing to use humor to attack rape, lynching, or the holocaust as acceptable behaviors, but that is not what Bernhard did. She verbally assaulted Sarah Palin by using the Mandingo fantasy–the wild black man ravishing the white woman who secretly wants the big black snake. She lends credence to the insulting, racist stereotype that black men can’t be trusted around white women. In Bernhard’s world black men are rapists at heart. Got that Barack? One of your supporters is making it clear you cannot be trusted around white women because you are a black brother. She didn’t mention you by name, but if you are a black brother you are a rapist.
If you as a reader of this blog think this kind of thing is okay we do not want you here. The words hurled at Sarah Palin are a despicable smear.
My disagreement with Barack Obama and my opposition to his candidacy has nothing to do with the color of his skin. Skin color, hair color, eye color, or any other physical characteristic is irrelevant to the matter of whether someone can be or should be President. For that matter, sex is irrelevant as well. Having testes or a uterus is neither qualifying nor disqualifying. A person’s character? That is important.
If Sarah Palin hung out with a minister who preached from a pulpit, “Goddamn America,” or with a convicted slumlord who owned slums where poor black folks had to pay exorbitant rent for substandard conditions then she would not be worthy to be mayor of Wasilla, Alaska much less Vice President. But there is only one person in this election who meets that test. His name is Barack Obama. It is his lack of character and integrity that motivates my opposition. It is that simple.
Bernhard’s performace is not comedy. It is ugly and she is a sad excuse for a human being. She is not a mensch.

If this is true, SAG (Screen Actors Guild) will have records of payment to the VO talent. I believe guild actors are only allowed just so many ‘donations of their talent’, so saying that it was a freebie shouldn’t jive with the facts.
You could try to trace payments to the specific VO talent through SAG; I’m sure they have to reference specific projects, you know, like “Anti Palin Ad.”

There is a very high likelihood, in my opinion, that the people who hacked Palin’s account and the people who hacked O’Reilly’s website are linked in with all this. The tactics are the same, as is the end goal: Intimidation and authoritarian left ends. If O’Reilly doesn’t know about this new story, he should be made aware of it. There is a very natural segue here with what happened to him and what happened to Palin, and he and FOX have the resources to be able to really investigate all of this and disseminate that information to the American electorate.
If they do and can — Bye-bye Obama. If Obama and his team can be caught in outright election law fraud — if they engaged in it, and the articles above are certainly leading to a conclusion heading down that path — that would be a significant, and perhaps fatal, blow.
If you notice in the media in the last day or two, there have been several stories about how one of McCain’s team is supposedly helping him skirt election finance laws.
That sounds like a story which came from an Obama source that may have known that this reporting of the possible Team Obama links to the potentially illegal anti-Palin ads was in development. In other words, someone seeking to establish some putative preemptive ‘equivocation’ between what they have been engaged in and what they are trying to tie McCain with.
I know something about this, personally, because I have very good reason to believe that earlier in this political season, supporters of Obama sent the FEC my and my brother’s way to look at what we were doing and see if it was in any kind of violation of election law.
It was not — neither I nor my brother has received any money or guidance from any campaign during this election cycle, period.
However, whoever had the FEC take a look at us had reason to believe, apparently, that we may be paid professionals working for an Obama opponent.
That is, it appears that they may have felt that my brother and I were engaged in the same kind of charade which the above-linked articles seems to conclude this PR firm may have been doing for Axlerod and Obama.
In other words, they have a guilty conscience, it would seem. Someone who is skirting election laws, possibly, felt that I and my brother may be a part of a similar scheme as one they are involved in.
Every day, all of the corruption of the Obama Chicago outfit is being exposed to the world. And the voters — and the relevant legal authorities — are being more aware of just how dirty and tarnished these imbeciles really are.

Times have changed but she did not move forward and consequently her brilliance showed to be a flash in the pan, a momentary light in a rather dreary self absorbed entertainers uninteresting life.

Off topic but on 60 Minutes last night - half with John McCain other half with Barry - McCain was great. Said he’d fire SEC chief Cox replace him with Andrew Cuomo. Scott Pelley said but he’s a Democrat? And he worked in the Clinton administration? McCain said “yes, and he did a good job too.”
Barry was vaguer than usual, Steve Croft was getting really impatient. Barry said he’s unique in that he can get people in a room and get them to agree on something. Croft asked for some examples. Barry was evasive.
I heard him speak on some economical stuff and he did not sound so unsure about him self. But if you listen to the guy, which I have a very hard time doing, he does not really say much. He keeps using 5 adjectives when 1 would be plenty to describe something. He also seems to be putting together prepared statements .

I have been thinking about these two posts on Bernhardt since they have been up. I kept my comments to a minimum on this issue as I am infuriated and what I really want to say about this woman would definitely get censored of this blog. During this past year I have gone from being a democrat to being completely embarrassed for the democratic party and they way they have been acting. Women could definitely learn a lot from the AA community this year - 90+% of AA’s are rallying around their candidate to get him elected even though they all do not believe what he stands for. Maybe most women still are not that intelligent.
Sandra Bernhard later in an interview tried to sugar coat her evil rant against Gov Palin by saying (paraphrased) she “did not wish any harm to come to Palin.” Bernhard should be held accountable for her disgusting anti-Palin comedy rant same as SNL should be paid back for its pathetic stab at incest humor. In the case of SNL, an NBC boycott is long overdue. As for Bernhard, it seems as if some sort of criminal charge might hold water. Someone in an earlier post mentioned “inciting acts of violence against another” as a possibility.
I would suggest to those who sense there is more to BO’s divisive tactics than meets the eye that they google the Ford Foundation for starters. Obama’s mom once worked for Ford Foundation. It is my understanding this foundation promotes an agenda that includes pitting black against white, poor against wealthy, and on & on. A man I now envy more than any other…Jerry Lewis! In the film, “The King of Comedy”, there is a scene when one of his psycho-kidnappers, Sarah Bernhard, (obviously a case of type-casting), thinking that somehow she has seduced him with her charming personality, releases him from his bonds. He stands up, moves toward her, and promptly punches her in the face. And you can see it in Jerry’s face, it is exactly what he wanted to “really” do.
On another note, I read that Sarah Palin is hosting Bono at a dinner. Bono has often given President Bush enormous credit for stepping up and not just “pledging” US support to help the cause Bono works for - relief for Africa - but actually living up to his word and delivering on his promises. But, I dont think she was even trying to to dis-empower these racist stereotypes. I think she was exploiting their power. Its not possible for a white person, or a jewish person, to reclaim anti-black stereotypes because those stereotypes were created by the white power structure and can only be reclaimed by those people they were deployed against - african americans.
