Barack’s Fannie Mae Buddies

Back in 2004, when the Republicans controlled the House, they tried to have a hearing on the threat that the financial mismanagement of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac presented to the U.S. Economy. Here’s the video evidence of the Democrats defending the status quo and blocking efforts to hold these people accountable:

Money for nothing and chicks for free? Here’s a song from 23 years ago that tells the story of how we got into this mess. It is worth your time:

This video on Fannie May is interesting history and it throws blame on Obama, as it should, since it’s his friends who profited, especially his “economic advisor” Frankie Raines!

But to say that it started in 1995 is bull stool! It started getting out of hand with Bush’s buddies who were all too willing to lend the bucks and his friends in Wall Street. CRA was initially a good idea and like all good ideas it became a tool in the hands of hte greedy and selfish men who ran it–republicans and democrats alike!

Now why don’t you post HIllary Clinton’s warnings of one and a half year ago and her wise proposal for the HOME OWNERSHIP LOAN CORPORATION that offered respite to homeowners, allowing htem to stay for a requisite time in their own home till the issues were resovled by the bank and they started to recover. A little bit of HIllary’s medicine was too hard to swallow by the Bush Republicans AND by the arrogantly unDemocratic Democrats.

This election has and offers no real choice. CHOOSE BETWEEN TWEEDLE DEE MCSAME AND TWEEDLE DUMBOBAMA!

WRITE IN HILLARY’S NAME OR STAY HOME. NO REAL CHOICE!….

Mary,

McCain spoke out and McCain is on record as not getting any earmarks and for fighting corruption.

obama is on record of surrounding himself with every single crook to come down the pike.

Writing in doesn’t work and is almost as wasteful as voting for barky directly would be.

Vote for McCain, to do otherwise is to vote against your country and to let the crooks win.

Throw the bums out, hire a reformer.

So how much will it cost to get CNN, MSNBO, and 100 other news agencies to run with this?

They won’t.

(or if they DO I will be SHOCKED)

it’s all Ostrich all the TIME ya’ll

did you ever think W would screw things up so bad that not even normally logical thinking people would cover their ears and refuse to hear it????

scary

Comment by Lee Ruth | 2008-09-27 13:25:14

“W” didn’t screw this up. The Dems did.

Comment by Dawnelle | 2008-09-27 15:25:08

I’m talking about the DEMS who are still so mad at W (mostly for Iraq and no WMD’s) that they are like ostriches and won’t read or hear anything negative about Obama

they do NOT care (at this point)
they only know they want to replace the party from R to D
I said this before
with the GP dem who is not paying attention (much) Obama could wear a DRESS to the next debate and they would still vote for him. They hate GW that much!

I, however, am over the hate.

Comment by mary | 2008-09-27 16:16:59

Bush Jr. is just as culpable in this as the exDemocratic morons led by Sweetie, the Anorexic Resume Holder. Surely you don’t mean to suggest that the Republicans escape scott free from being blamed for ALLOWING this mess to continue–as much as the UN-DEMOCRATIC DEMOCRATS who initially, with Carter and Clinton, meant to do good, but then it eroded thanks to bureaucratic and both republican and democratic greed and selfishness.

When I find out that Frankie Raines, the corrupt criminal mind that got 7.5 million on top of his salary as Big Boss of Fanny Mae…..it should be sufficient incentive to VOTE FOR MCCAIN HOPING THAT HIS HOPENESS BHO DOESN’T FURTHER SCREW UP THE SYSTEM…..

Anyway, good video for us to learn the FACTS above…but still would like to see HIllary’s great plan get some recognition here!!!! This competent Presidential talent would have solved this mess long ago….

You know, the Kerry swiftboating started with a first ad on August 5, 2004…

When do the 527s going to really take off the gloves against Obama?

Or are they not being allowed on TV?? I know one ad was rejected awhile ago….not sure of its content…

Comment by Dawnelle | 2008-09-27 10:24:16

yea we’ve already seen the HEINOUS one done by DEANS asshole brothers group (dfa) on John’s skin cancer!

THAT WAS TOTALLY DISGUSTING AND WILL PROBABLY BACK FIRE ON THEM!

IT’S TIME FOR THE RIGHT TO DO WHAT THEY DO BEST (I could say unfortunately but this time I won’t)

lol

Let em have it! (and you don’t even have to lie)

Comment by athy | 2008-09-27 11:21:57

Dawnelle-
Someone should produce a 527 ad highlighting the ’skin cancer’ ad (and include excerpts from any other sleazy type ads that are probably being produced right now as we speak) and asking the public something along the lines of the following-

“What kind of desperation would prompt anyone to produce an ad like this against Sen mcCain?

“What kind of fear would promote an attempted attack against his candidacy like this attack?

“Is this the way to attack your opponent in an election for the position of president of the USA?”

“What value does this information/distortion add to our political discussion?”

“If you have had enough of ads like this- speak up and speak out against them. Silence is consent.
Do your bit to help clean up the campaign process.”

“Ask yourself-”Who is doing this and why?”

Then…on November 4-do the right thing.

I am no expert on these issues but in my humble opinion, Sen McCain should continue to refrain from getting into the gutter to fight Sen Obama.
Sen Obama is a professional candidate. PERIOD. He is not a ‘public servant’ who has the best interests of our nation in mind.

(Quite frankly…I have no clue as to what the REAL reason is that he wants to be president).

He is a fighter who can only fight in the gutter and if this campaign is dragged into the gutter-then Sen Obama will win.

I was happy to see that during last night’s debate/discussion Sen Obama WAS NOT able to drag Sen McCain in the gutter-no matter how hard en Obama tried to.

Sen McCain must fight these attacks and slanders aggressively…with the TRUTH. Get the truth out there and get it out quickly. We are running out of time. AND…he must not forget to remain on the offensive against Sen Obama- again…with the TRUTH.

AND…after watching last night’s debate/discussion I have one comment that sums up my main concern right now: Sen Obama did so poorly in the debate that the only way he can win is through some type of election process fraud OR horrific and glaringly false ’swiftboat attack’ on his opponent(s)even during a national debate.

WHen opposing a candidate like Sen Obama-one should NEVER EVER EVER let their guard down for one moment. It could mean the election.

Comment by Dawnelle | 2008-09-27 12:01:47

and yet it seems all Whora Nora can worry about on MSNBO is if McCain was being “contemptuous” by not looking AT BARRY! (she just now challenged a TN R congresswoman)

I thought about this last night and I went back to look at videos of John, we know he can’t lift his shoulders/and arms because of all the times they were broken when he was a POW. I don’t think he can turn his head but so far and it looks like he strains to do it. I haven’t seen one video where he turns his head completely to the side without turning his body with it. Just so far…I saw some pictures right after Hillary suspended her campaign. I believe they were on AOL a picture of John and his family swimming. You could see the scars on his back, chest, arms, legs from the beatings he took. Someone had tried the swiftboat stuff on him, saying how well he was treated as a POW. So I went back to snag that picture. It was gone. They didn’t want people seeing what he went through as a POW. The article was still there, but the picture was gone. Maybe the ugly truth is, he couldn’t turn his head far enough without turning his body which would have brought attention to himself to look at Obama because of his injuries.

Comment by candymarl | 2008-09-27 16:02:12

Didn’t you get the memo? McCain didn’t suffer enough according to Obama supporters.

Every vet and active duty military person should think about that. Obama supporters dismiss the suffering of John McCain.

There is always someone in worse condition than you somewhere on the planet. Does that make your pain and anguish less real? NO.
But Obama supporters think it does. Obama has neither disowned nor condemned this point of view.

You Iraqi and Afghanistan vets beware. This is the type of insensitive attitude you will face. You thought Vietnam vets got it in the neck? If Obama becomes President you ain’t seen nothin’ yet.

Funny how all the liberal sites were “we support the troops”. Until Obama got the nod. Too bad Obama couldn’t remember the name of the troop on his bracelet. It would have had his home state on it as well.

Obama couldn’t remember the troop’s name but remembered word for word a conversation with his mother? Right.

For Larry: There are black people in that video. It portrays them in an unflattering light. Therefore you and the video are racist. Just thought I’d get that out of the way.

Comment by mary | 2008-09-27 16:20:19

There was no doubt watching the debate that McCain knocked out Obama from round one. O’Bambi seemed to be too quick on the draw to fire away at McCain who kept his cool throughout. Why not? He was “right” for most of hte debate–according to OBambi!
Ah, how I miss HIllary’s debating skills. She would have made minced meat (not moose) patties out of both of McCain and Sweetie Dumbo!

I think Jim Lehner tried to get Senator McCain mad, tried to get him to go on the attack against Obama. They wanted a gottcha moment. John McCain instead faced America and talked to us. Did you notice all the toothy smiles Barack was giving Jim? Was Jim smiling back? Were they in it together? Barack’s donkey smiles made it look that way.

Wish Pat would do a cartoon showing how much Barack resembles a donkey showing his teeth. Pointy chin, big ears and toothiness. omg

They’ve already started in the battleground states.

The outcome of this election will be determined by who wins these eleven states…

Virginia
Pennsylvania
Ohio
Michigan
Colorado
New Mexico
Nevada
New Hampshire
New Jersey
Minnesota
Florida

That’s where all the ad money will go in these final five weeks. If you don’t live in these states, you likely won’t see any 527 ads.

Comment by tzada | 2008-09-27 12:22:08

The DNC is already trying to buy votes in Mi and Ohio, with their 56 Billion dollars in bailout for the big three automakers. It is to be tacked onto the 700 Billion bailout. The same bailout that gives ACORN Billions. The same bailout that gives LaRaza Billions and the Voters League Billions. All those are vote buying schemes from the Democrats as is the car company bailout in 2 key states.

Just got a call from the Democratic party doing a survey. I made sure I let them know I am a Democrat for McCain. The pollster sorta gave a “that’s cool” chuckle and that was that.

I believe, that is about time for those”America First” A,mericans, who thruly believe in McCain, that they will start now to fight for this MAN. We must be united even with those rich , to save our future in especjaly times, were Obamas highest advisors, are walking free and screwing us more!!! How ANYONE can be so naive and believethat Obama will fullfeel His promises from last PRIMARIES, He has no idea , and all will fell on everuone. I am not politician nor economist, but I believe that McCain is right, and taxing businesses will be catastrofic for all of US. If rich start loosing income, we will go down. Kobs will fly out from USA as fast as possible. But rules must be made and tough one for them to!!!If anyone of them will move outside from USA, they will be TAX so high, that even having business in China wont help them to get to much wealthy!!!Mandatory Healt Insurance and better wages. People with money , they are only those who can provide jobs. Please let me know if I am wrong???

Comment by Lee Ruth | 2008-09-27 14:14:33

You are right, but the majority of the rich in this country are Democrats. It is true many businessmen are Republican. The blue collar workers in fly over country are mostly Republicans. I will align with these people any day.

Comment by Maverick | 2008-09-27 14:41:38

here’s another good quote from Politico’s article claiming McCain won the debate!

Sure, McCain is a pretty old guy for a presidential candidate, but he showed the old guy did not mind mixing it up. He stood behind a lectern for 90 minutes without a break — you try that when you are 72 — and he not only gave as good as he got, he seemed to relish it more.

MAC is BACK

Comment by Chicago Joe | 2008-09-27 11:14:59

That’s a pretty significant concession from Roger Simon, who has been writing and speaking as though he were an Obama surrogate. That’s a hopeful sign.

Comment by NoTrollZone | 2008-09-27 11:28:32

hmmm. feint praise indeed. how many times did the obama-puke insert the word “old” or reference age in two sentences? pretty good for an old, old, old, old, old, old guy who shouldn’t be able to stand for 90 minutes.

Comment by John Smith | 2008-09-27 10:35:03

John McCain will resolve the financial workout package and will tout that he made the bill better. That will set him up for the next debate. Could you see Obama defending a bailout. Obama is in NC campaigning McCain is in DC doing his job. I don’t think people realize how much of an impact that will have on the electorate. One guys is talking while the other guy is doing. That will be McCain’s line in the next debate. He has already laid the ground work for on Obama’s inexperience. He kept hammering that home. In the next debate he will highlight that even more and in the final debate he will drive that message in every none kool-aid drinkers mind. As for the kool-aid drinkers, they are lost. Obama could punch his wife in front of the camara and they would not bat an eye and still vote for him.

Comment by Mandelay | 2008-09-27 10:35:17

The info is not getting “out there” for the voters to see/hear/react to it. Why isn’t McCain using this in ads? Why didn’t Mac challenge Obama last night on the “billions for ACORN” provision the Dems tried to ram into the rescue/bailout package? Why didn’t McCain name Barney Frank, and Chris Dodd in this mess? I am voting for Mac but I was left wondering why he left the opening half hour in Obama’s greedy hands. These are facts and issues that would make the American public extremely angry if they knew the “back story” of the Fannie/Freddie mess. McCain didn’t even bring up his own co-sponsored (and tabled) legislative proposal from 2005 which was described (by Larry?) in one of yesterday’s posts. McCain has more ammo to shoot. Why is he holding fire? As the King of Siam once said “It’s a puzzlement.”

Comment by American Woman | 2008-09-27 11:25:46

My guess is John McCain is waiting for the Bill to be passed into law and them start telling the American people.

I admit I am really scared if Obama wins this election. I am afraid that we will never again have fair elections and our freedom of speech will be a freedom of the past.

Comment by just me | 2008-09-27 12:34:22

maybe he is waiting till he has worked on the bail out and hit him in the next debate on the economy..

afterall last night was foreign policy.

Once everything is in place he can let rip and prove again Barky is totally unfit.

Comment by bert | 2008-09-27 15:37:40

I think he is waiting too. At least I hope so. Once the immediate crisis has passed Mccain will have a lot of current video clips and proposed legislation, and damning videos from the past like thse in this post to pull from for some really hard hitting ads.

Thanks again to Larry for great research and posts and for keeping his readers ahead of the curve on factual information. This os far more and better info than I ever got from reading a newspaper, even 15 years ago. I love the internet.

Comment by Celeste | 2008-09-30 10:07:39

It is indeed a puzzlement. One wonders if McCain is getting bad advice or is just too nice but whatever the reason, he needs to have the guts to speak the truth. If he doesn’t, the coyotes will continue to run the hen house

Comment by tek | 2008-09-27 10:36:49

I will never believe that Bill Clinton is a crook (philanderer, yes–crook, no), the rest of these people, yes. I also don’t know how anyone with a brain could actually push the idea that Republicans have been honest people working for the good of all Americans since Nixon’s administration. It’s just not true. You cannot pin this crisis all on one party and I believe that the corruption of the neoconservatives opened the opportunity for large corruption among the Democrats.

This video is edited and spliced so we can’t know what’s left out. We can know what we see and it’s troubling enough. It’s enough to be very worried over an Obama administration. The danger is that the Republicans are so discredited under Dubya that the Democrats will have a totally free hand if they get in and no one to counter their obvious move to the far left.

Just a bad situation, a very bad situation.

Great, hold ‘em accountable.
While we’re at it, hang Gramm around McCain’s neck too.

A word of advice though, don’t waste too much time spinning wheels about who’s the villain of choice for the day.

This is bigger than Obama, McCain, Freddie, Fannie and all the politicians and bankers combined. The most disturbing aspect is how few saw it coming. One who did see it coming was Warren Buffet.
http://www.reuters.com/article/newsOne/idUSN1837154020080918?pageNumber=1&virtualBrandChannel=0

“Five years ago, billionaire investor Warren Buffett called them [credit default swap derivitaves] a “time bomb” and “financial weapons of mass destruction” and directed the insurance arm of his Berkshire Hathaway Inc (BRKa.N: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) to exit the business.”

For more important information, see also
http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=8634

“In December 2007, the Bank for International Settlements reported derivative trades tallying in at $681 trillion - ten times the gross domestic product of all the countries in the world combined. Somebody is obviously bluffing about the money being brought to the game…”

Comment by athy | 2008-09-27 11:55:37

ybnormal-

Thank you for these links.

Articles contain important backup/support for what the You tube videos in Larry’s article are saying.

In case any bankers or economists are skeptical about the message presented by the producers of the video, this is good, further support of the facts presented in video.

This video is EXCELLENT-one of the best one that I have seen out there on ANY topic.

KUDOS TO THE PRODUCERS!!!

Producers did a phenomenal job of taking what some people think of as a very complex economics and finance topic and explained it in such a way that it (topic) was converted into a ‘kitchen table’ discussion topic.

Not only that, with the music as background, and the QUICK presentation of facts at a glance (including sources for info) this appeals to the younger MTV VH1 crowd of young adults. Many of these kids are intelligent, impatient, and VISUAL consumers of information.

Comment by athy | 2008-09-27 11:59:52

I left out,
thanks to how the information was presented in the video, people can better understand the important facts (and their implications) as presented in the Reuter’s and Global Research artcles.
Thanks again for these links.

THIS BAILOUT must not happen. They are selling us a bill of goods that they now call a “Rescue Package.” Bush and Obama are the same thing with different names. McCain must stand up against this theft of the American economy. Please listen. If this bailout goes through the next 4 years will be hyper-inflation and fascism on a grand scale. Already cities and state are cutting back and cutting the safety net. Once the private wealthy can bail themselves out with government assistance, they will take over everything from the little guy. Do you think it is coincidence that WAMU was taken over by JPMorgan Chase for a penny on the dollar.

Comment by athy | 2008-09-27 12:12:15

Luis,
I agree.
I have many issues about the wording of the bailout proposal.

Where do the issues of accountability, conflict of interest, regulatory and oversight rules PLUS
caps on executive compenstaion come into the discussion?

How are the taxpayers to be rewarded for agreeing to a proposal like this-a proposal which is necessary only because of the greed, ineptitiude, political osturing of others-including financiers AND legislators. Many innocent hardworking taxpayers are being made to suffer the consequences of the decisions made by others. This is not fair, equitable, or just.

How are the financiers and bankers and lobbyists and politicians who knowingly and/or through derelection of fiduciary responsibility (to the voters, taxpayers and shareholders) ‘grew’ this mortgage problem and personally- profited in the interim situation-how are these individuals to be penalized (criminally and/or financially)?

The fact that there are no public hearings on this bill makes it even worse. This leaves the taxpayers in a very vulnerable position based upon ignorance of the repurcussions of the bill’s contents.

I can’t discuss any bailout plan until/unless I discuss what methods have been included in this same plan that will prevent this fiasco from occuring again.

Any bailout should have strict accountability, conflict-of-interest, regulatory, and oversight rules attached, including a cap on executive compensation. In addition-penalties for breach of fiduciary responsibility and/or criminal activities need to be included in this bill-otherwise…this bill is merely a ’stop gap’ measure until the next financial catastrophe.

This proposed solution, in my opinion, is a bandaid approach. The portion that is missing from this bill’s discussion is what will prevent this disease from occurring again-

I also have a M A J O R Problem with the following:

The Community Reinvestment Act gave power, responsibility and the right to groups like ACORN to create mortgages and bring them to the banks!

“ACORN was one of the groups terrorizing the banks with a lowered CRA rating if they didn’t write these mortgages, which essentially would put them out of business. A bad CRA rating meant no expansion or new branches.”

So banks were forced to accept these ‘ticking time bomb’ loans despite the fact that bankers knew it made no financial sense whatsoever.

Banks passed on the VERY HIGH RISK to FNMA and FDMC, who kept them because they looked better on the balance sheets.

McCain must be better prepare for next Debate, and attack Obama on Economy and His dirty business with corrupted thiefs from Chicago and the rest of USA!!! McCain must stop to be affraid of what Obama will say, because Obama is dirtyiest politician, I dont even know what to call Obama, is He politician or just dirty selfish man!!!
Now we all know that McCain has 13 cars.10 houses and so what, Cindy is the wealthy one, and on top of that , She share Her wealth as Clintons do with those who need most of!!!NOT OBAMA!!!
McCain is 72 years old, I believe that He works for His good and wealthy life as hard as he can. One choose to be a; doctor, politician, police man, nurse, janitor. If I was politician, and have money, I would have more then 1 car, home, some apartments. I am o not jelous of anyone wealth, but I am for sharing some of this with others!!! McCains and Clintons are doing just like that!!!!

Comment by Joy | 2008-09-27 20:26:31

Problem for McCain is the folks around him also. With his crew of lobbyist buddies, his ole friend Phil Gramm and his whining and mental recession John has a problem. Calling Obama with one home and one car elitist coming from a guy with 11 homes and 13 vehicles doesn’t cut it.

The economy is not the field McCain wants to play on. Like one of McCain’s former advisors said, an attack on the US benefits McCain but so far the attack has come from the US economy not terrorists.

Simply add 5-9 points on to every poll, national and state, for McCain and you will have an accurate range of where it stands right now.

Comment by Clara Barton | 2008-09-27 11:13:01

Shiloh, Can you explain what you refer to about the “5-9 points to each poll” to accurately reflect where “it” stands right now?

Are you saying the polls are 5-9 points to the good of Obama? Why so? I’m not challenging this - just askin’.

Comment by Shiloh | 2008-09-27 11:28:24

I’m saying, as I’ve posed before, that there is a 3 pt bias toward Obama for intentional oversampling, another 3 for hidden Bradley and PUMA effect, and another 3 or more for the very large undecided block that pros like Zogby predict will break McCain. So a conservative range is 5-9 points that Obama has in current polls that is purely illusory.

Banks should not loan to folks who cannot afford. White black hispanic asian or whatever.
Democrats are trying to give ACORN billions. A group committing voter fraud across the USA.
Thats you buddies though right? Do you work? do you mind that they are throwing your money away to groups that are partisan BS?
We are in need of a solution and your guys are trying to give presents to their interest groups.

If you want to give a handout to low-income people to help with housing/home ownership (and that may indeed be a good and helpful thing to do) then CALL IT WHAT IT IS. Set up a separate fund for it, make it go through budget, and use the money. When the money is gone, it’s gone, sorry.

But don’t tie it in to our entire mortgage system, and sit up there and say that this is a good and profitable fiscal move, because it’s NOT. I have no problem with some degree of social programs to help those in need. But call it what it IS, and keep it separate. Don’t call it sound lending practice and put it on the balance sheets of major lending institutions as “assets”.

FF, think about it. How is it kind to give people mortgages they can’t pay? (whatever their color, believe me, all colors are hurting from this) That mortgage sucks up all their cash. Then comes the secondary cost of actually maintaining the home, because it is a constant drain over and above the mortgage. When all these mortgages were available it also led to a speculative market which drove home prices up, which increased the property taxes on them. Buying this American Dream was totally ruinous to many families, and it had nothing to do with any color but green.

Comment by Ferd McBerfle | 2008-09-27 12:01:33

Mother Jones, “ I am Barack Obama” by Mark Winston Griffith 3/17/08
“And on the question of a federal response to subprime lending abuses and foreclosure, an issue I’ve been passionate about since my days running a financial cooperative in Bedford-Stuyvesant, I’m convinced that extensive regulation and government intervention is the only way to curb predatory lending and prevent massive foreclosures. Obama, on the other hand, relies far more on the market correcting itself. Max Fraser recently wrote in The Nation that “As he has done on domestic issues like healthcare, job creation and energy policy, Obama is staking out a position to the right of not only populist Edwards but Clinton as well” writes Griffith

How to make the MSM do their jobs?

DO NOT WATCH THEM, EVEN FOR KICKS. If their ratings continue to fall they’ll get it–or get canned. The KO nervous breakdowns will be on YouTube pretty quickly, catch them there.

DON’T BUY THEM. If the newspapers lose business by losing hits on their sites and decreases in circulation, they may decide its time to do their jobs.

WHO ARE THEIR SPONSORS? Once you find out who they are, don’t buy from them while they associate themselves with the MSM who is putting forth propaganda.

This is no longer about political posturing, this is about the responsibility of the MSM to be fair, to cover information much needed in this time-constrained society. Not everyone knows what we do here at NQ–they rely on the MSM to tell them what they need to know and would normally ASSUME it would be covered in the media.

In 2008 we can demand accountabiity and transparency within our government and demand journalists do their jobs. One way we can do that in a free country is to hit them in their pocketbooks, hard.

NO TO BAILOUT
Britain’s five leading high street banks have as much as £95.3 billion ($175 billion) of distressed assets on their books that may qualify for the American bailout scheme.

If the British banks tap the rescue fund being set up by the US Treasury and the Federal Reserve to the maximum, they could secure one quarter of the $700 billion being made available. Under the terms of an outline agreement that appeared to have been reached by US policymakers last night, Britain’s lenders will be able to use the facility.

You can see by who is speaking, there is a pattern of who wants to have accountability and who doesn’t.

People need to realize to achieve the American Dream..to get somewhere in life, you need to WORK FOR IT. Welfare and public assistance is proof that helping people with a monthly check and not asking them to do anything in return for it obviously is not helping them in the long run. You can’t give mortgages to consumers who are not responsible. You can’t get something for nothing. There is always a price tag on everything. When Fannie and Freddie were allowed to give unqualified homeowners a mortgage, did that really help them? No, they lost their homes anyway. Did anyone require them to at least put some of their own money into the deal for investment? No, again. Did anyone require that they attend a workshop on homeownership and the responsibilities? No. If some of this was done, many people would not have gotten a home and some would have done better. Why should a person who is irresponsible, won’t work, doesn’t pay their bills, has poor credit, get the same opportunity for homeownership than me or anyone else who works?

Comment by MMI | 2008-09-27 11:51:25

Fannie and Freddie solicited in poor-income neighborhoods and preyed on many working, low-income families’ dream of owning a home. Fannie and Freddie saddled them with debts they could not afford to repay through misinformation, abusing their ignorance about finances, and painting a rosy color of the housing market. I don’t see them as champions of the poor or for minorities. They are no better than any financial institution that practiced predatory lending. These politicians allowed that to happen. Money going to subsidize Fannie and Freddie would have been better spent on improving education, economic development, and lowering crime in poor neighborhoods. This would have helped to create jobs and raise the income levels of people in those neighborhoods so that they could go out and get a loan for a home that they could actually pay for.

WOW. Thanks for this post Larry.

If people are not up to speed with the financial disaster, this video should be a real eye opener.

As I said in the previous post, too many in the US feel they deserve far more than they have earned. Obama is their Poster Boy.

That goes for the people who bought homes they could not afford, the lenders that enabled them, the companies that polished these risky debts to look like gold, the CEO’s and manement that cooked the books to max their bonuses, and the congress that was bought off to look the other way.

If we buy up this bad debt, and keep the same bought off ass clowns in power, they will send us further down the road to ruin.

Obama & Company is going to siphon off the wealth earned by those that work hard and live within their means and give it to themselves.

The people who are upside down with mortgages will still be upside down, and Obama & Company will only enrich themselves.

He’s definitely got more lines under his eyes these days, it looks bad. Someone above noted a “white eyeliner” makeup trick, though I can’t really see that. But long ago I read a comment that “his eyes are dead… they never smile” and I have considered that since. They don’t smile, or only when he has the full-face grin. Try it yourself, make a phony smile at the mirror, then think happy thoughts and smile–the eyes crinkle and the muscles around them puff. This is one of the features people observe subconsciously to decide if people are sincere or not.

Larry, I say jail for the banksters, and no bail!

Both parties have been bought and paid for. People should immediately flood the airwaves demanding their Congressman/woman vote against any bailout plan.

Those “Wizards of Wall Street” should be arrested, their computers, bank accounts and records seized, their rights read to them, and their cases placed on a rocket docket. They should be treated as the common criminals they have become. We cannot undo the damage they have done to our economy. But we can turn a massive bailout into a monumental jail-in.

Slowburn, by good news, I mean that if the “house fairy” Tony Rezko starts talking, Obama will be in the middle of all the dirt in Illinois politics.

He was already convicted on a lot of charges, and now is facing a mortgage fraud trial.

Pat Fitzgerald, the IL AG loves to prosecute political crimes. If Rezko talks, the governor of IL, the Mayor of Chicago, and Obama could all go down the tubes with him.

Something to remember about polls: They do care about their own reputation and accuracy. So why have I been saying the polls are intentionally biased for Obama? Because they don’t care about it this early! Polls care about how post election analysts look at their accuracy at the finish line. A month in advance (and we aren’t there yet) will get some attention but earlier? No-one cares. Sooo… another factor among the many reasons why McCain is actually ahead in the polls is that only now will they begin to be concerned about getting it right.

As the next month moves by you will see McCain climbing and the story will be that it’s because of racism and smears on Obama. In fact it will be because the pollsters are gradually moving, out of self-interest, from bias and toward accuracy. Add to that the large undecided pool breaking for McCain and I really think that right now McCain has a deeply rooted and systemic lead of 5 - 10 points.

I was just listening to Obama on Fox talking to voters in NC. He was telling them of the direct instruction he laid down in this bail out plan.

They way Obama was speaking anyone would take it as the Republicans came with a plan and Obama due to his concern for the poor of America and the taxpayers he jump right in there and laid down some heavy rules as to how things should go.

I was waiting on FOX to say if Obama had all this input he is claiming, if this is really how it happend because Obama is making it look as if the Republican as trying to pull a fast one, yet not one word from FOX they just went on with their show.

How can Obama if this is a lie just stand there and give out this kind of wrong information, the Republicans better start to answer him because by the time he is done the entire USA will really feel it was the great one Obama that save us from finical ruin.

FOX only says what Murdock and Ails want except for a few who actually report news. You can tell when Shepherd Smith takes a detour and doesn’t read the garbage on the teleprompter.
CNN and MSNBC do the same to an extent. They are just better at it.

If you notice the only ones doing any talking right now are the Democrats, Republicans only speak when something is done, and that is the shock factor by reality to back it up.

Do not forget Reid and Pelosi last week screaming a deal is in hand when none ever was, so logic dictates Obama’s claims are false and the GOP will address it when a deal is struck and not before!

The Democrats since yesterday have already agreed to insuring mortgages and not paying them out, that is a McCain demand, not Obama, because McCain issued that demand early this week and Obama had no time to try to steal it since Obama requires about 5 days to steal any plan from anyone else!

Comment by SJ | 2008-09-27 12:17:47

Well he stole it because he was telling the people of NC that he had insisted some kind of insurance goes in there, he numbered his proposal 1-5 as he was shouting them out, and the crowd went off.

Then he went off on the all of us together, black, white, republican , democrat are hard working and when we put out minds to it we can do this and that, man it is disgusting to watch this man.

He and Biden out there talking crap while McCain is in Washington working his butt off for the best deal, the sad part about that is that whatever Mc Cain is doing it will never be appreciated and the media would never ask why is Obama all over the place and not in Washington at a time like this

Comment by Mel | 2008-09-27 12:23:12

Oh Obama is up to 5 points now, on thursday he was only at 4 of McCain’s points..lol

Don’t forget the old saying ” Bullshitters just talk, do’ers actually do the walk”

When the deal is done by tomorrow night and it is announced by all, after the vote, the Republicans will do plenty of talking and calling out Obama.

this bailout is just throwing gasoline on the fire.
Let wall st crumble and let poeple fail.
In america it used to be that you rise and fall on your own.
Now, the government is ready to step in at every turn. Our government is the entire problem. We have our government responsible for regulations, what happens? Dodd and Frank are getting boatloads of money and turning a blind eye.
The government passed the CRI bill which meant banks had to loan folks money for homes even if it was beyond their means. Government intervention is the whole problem. Everytime we step in down the road it fucks everything up.
we have bailed out several banks and quasi-government agencies like fannie and freddie over the last few months, and did a stimulus back in February.
WHAT GOOD DID ANY OF IT DO? Now, we are going to do all of the above again on a larger scale.
Insanity is the idea you can keep doing the same thing expecting different results when it fails over and over.
If we want to help the markets. Put good poeple in to regulate that are not pols. Open up our markets and pass an energy bill.
Look, if we passed a comprehensive energy plan and the columbian free trade agreement along with cuts in business taxes and suspending the capitol-gains tax. We could create an economic boom like the 90’s.
The problem with our markets is they are stale and the money has nowhere to go but into failed investments or weak ones.
An energy plan could create million upon millions of jobs and trade agreements would give us more markets for goods and services.
Cutting corporate tax would loosen the governments strangle on business. Our government needs to stop intervening and worrying about its treasury coffer filling with money.
We need to make a bold path for the future.

I forget where I found this but it is a good one:

Imagine if Jackie Robinson had been a terrible baseball player? What would people have thought if they put him on the field simply because of his race? What would the impact on our society have been if he had gone out and failed? In fact, he didn’t fail and by showing that he deserved to be on the field, America’s sport showed American’s the way to start looking past race and to look to the quality of the person. The media is trying to force Senator Obama on the people and crying racism at every turn. Senator Obama is no Jackie Robinson.

It is worth your time:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H5tZc8oH–o

If people are not up to speed with the financial disaster, these videos should be a real eye opener.
We are in this mess due to the Social Engineering legislation that forced banks to make “Affordable Mortgage Loans” to people who could not afford them.

Congressional Democrats were bought off by the financial institutions, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to look the othey way as Congress and CEO’s enriched themselves and placed our country in great peril. Obama pushed his way to the head of the pork trough and became the biggest taker of cash from these institutions.

Too many in the US, from home buyers to CEO’s, feel they deserve far more than they have earned. Obama is their Poster Boy.

That goes for the people who bought homes they could not afford, the lenders that enabled them, the companies that polished these risky debts to look like gold, the CEO’s and management that cooked the books to max their bonuses, and the congress that was bought off to look the other way.

If we buy up this current bad debt, and keep the same bought off congress in power, they will send us further down the road to ruin.

Obama & Company is going to siphon off the wealth earned by those that work hard and live within their means.

The people who are upside down with mortgages will still be upside down. Obama & Company will only enrich themselves.

Email this to 10 people, your financial institutions and 401k will grow. The more people you email, the more your job, savings, and investments will grow.
If you do not email it, your financial institution, 401k, job, mortgage, and life in the U.S. as you know it will go the way of the Dodo.

Lehman Brothers: Obama’s Rezko-Auchi conflict of interest
By Online Wednesday, September 17, 2008

By Andrew Walden

Democratic Presidential candidate Barack Obama was quick to blame the bankruptcy of Wall Street giant Lehman Brothers on Republicans’ “failed philosophy”. Obama’s September 15 comments were repeated throughout the media–yet reporters have not noted Obama’s glaring conflict of interest—the Lehman debt owed to a bank owned by the financier who loaned millions of dollars to Tony Rezko.

Jockeying among the other debtors seeking repayment under Chapter 11 bankruptcy rules is BNP Paribas, a large French bank whose largest single private shareholder is Nadhmi Auchi’s General Mediterranean Holdings (GMH). BNP Paribas is owed $250 million by Lehman.

Nadhmi Auchi is an Iraqi whose Baathist ties go back to 1959. A formerly high-ranking official in Iraq’s Oil Ministry, Auchi left Iraq at the end of the 1970s. His wealth then grew exponentially as a procurer of arms for Saddam Hussein’s government during the Iran–Iraq war. He is now one of the richest men in Britain. Saddam Hussein in 1995 selected BNP, which later merged with Paribas, as the sole conduit bank handling Oil-for-Food transactions. This Clinton-era arrangement was changed in 2001 by the incoming Bush administration.

Auchi was also a key financial backer for Chicago political fixer and dual US-Syrian citizen Tony Rezko. This writer explained the complex web of relationships in an August 24 article titled, “Iraqi Billionaire Threatens Reporters Investigating Rezko Affair”:

A secret $3.5 million loan from an Auchi company to key early-money Barack Obama fundraiser Antoin Rezko was exposed while Rezko was awaiting trial on fraud and money-laundering charges earlier this year. Rezko’s bail was revoked and police showed up banging on the doors of his Wilmette Chicago mansion to drag him off to jail early in the morning of January 28th. Auchi’s loan to Rezko had come on May 23, 2005 but had not been disclosed to the Court as required in his bail agreement. Three weeks later, on June 15, 2005, Rezko’s wife assisted the Obamas in the purchase of their South Chicago mansion by purchasing a next-door undeveloped lot being sold with the house.

According to the Times of London, “Mr. Rezko’s lawyer said his client had ‘longstanding indebtedness’ to Mr. Auchi’s General Mediterranean Holding (GMH). By June 2007 he owed it $27.9 million. Under a Loan Forgiveness Agreement described in court, M. Auchi lent Mr. Rezko $3.5 million in April 2005 and $11 million in September 2005, as well as $3.5 million transferred in April 2007. That agreement provided for the outstanding loans to be ‘forgiven’ in return for a stake in the 62-acre Riverside Park development.”

Rezko’s relationship with Barack Obama goes back to at least 1990, when Obama’s law firm did work relating to thousands of now-decaying Rezko apartment units in South Chicago. Rezko was a key early-money fundraiser in Obama’s state Senate campaigns and his failed run at the U.S. Congress.

According to The Times of London, “Mr. Auchi first met Mr. Rezko after the 2003 Iraq war and they have a business relationship.” At the time Auchi was facing the possibility of extradition to France. The Times of London explains: “Mr Auchi was convicted of corruption, given a suspended sentence and fined £1.4 million in France in 2003 for his part in the Elf affair, described as the biggest political and corporate scandal in post-war Europe. He, in a statement from his media lawyers, claims he is appealing against the sentence.”

In 2003, Nick Cohen of the UK Guardian wrote:

Allow me to introduce you to Nadhmi Auchi. He was charged in the 1950s with being an accomplice of Saddam Hussein, when the future tyrant was acquiring his taste for blood. He was investigated in the 1980s for his part in alleged bribes to the fabulously corrupt leaders of post-war Italy. In the 1990s, the Belgium Ambassador to Luxembourg claimed that Auchi’s bank held money Saddam and Colonel Gadaffi had stolen from their luckless peoples. In 2002, officers from the Serious Fraud Squad raided the offices of one of Auchi’s drug companies as part of an investigation of what is alleged to be the biggest swindle ever of the (British National Health Service). With allegations, albeit unproven, like these hanging over him, wouldn’t you think that British MPs would have the sense to stay away?

One might think Obama would also stay away, but in truth it is only the US media who are ducking this story. While ideological bias and a predisposition towards inanity might explain some of the media ignorance, the August 24 article cites another cause:

Working for Auchi… attorneys from London law firm Carter-Ruck have for several months been flooding American and British newspapers and websites with letters demanding removal of material they deem “defamatory” to their client.

In its June 28 edition, British satirical magazine Private Eye explains: “Until Carter-Ruck and Partners and England’s stifling libel laws got to work, the few American journalists not caught up in Obama-mania were turning to the archives of the British press to answer an intriguing question: who is Nadhmi Auchi?”

What is so “stifling” about English libel law? In the U.K., as Carter-Ruck explains on its own website, “A libel claimant does not have to prove that the words are false or to prove that he has in fact suffered any loss. Damage is presumed.”

The Obama campaign recently issued a non-denial denial in response to claims that Obama met with Auchi―contained in Jerome Corsi’s bestseller, The Obama Nation. They cited only two references. One is, “Mr. Auchi’s lawyer” who told the February 27, 2008 London Evening Standard, “As far as he can remember he has had no direct contact with Mr. Obama.” Another is, “A lawyer for Auchi, Alasdair Pepper” who says, according to the April 16, 2008 Washington Post, “Auchi Had ‘No Recollection’ Of Meeting Obama or Michelle.” Alasdair Pepper is the attorney whose name appears on the Carter-Ruck demand letters.

Here are some questions reporters should be asking Barack Obama:

Senator Obama: Lehman Brothers owes over $250 million to a bank owned in part by Nadhmi Auchi’s holding company. Auchi was a key financial backer of Tony Rezko. Sources indicate you met Auchi twice when he visited Chicago in 2004. If elected, how will your relationship with Rezko and Auchi affect your policy towards Lehman Brothers?

Senator Obama: There are reports that Nadhmi Auchi was in 2004-2005 seeking US residency while appealing his French court conviction in the ELF-Aquitaine case. If elected, would you look favorably on a US residency application from Auchi?

Senator Obama: You stated that the Lehman bankruptcy shows that Americans cannot afford four more years of the Republicans’ “failed philosophy”. Can Americans afford a President whose home was purchased with the assistance of now-convicted-felon Tony Rezko, a man characterized as having “permanent indebtedness” to Nadhmi Auchi?

If only the MSM would do it’s damn job. Most people have no idea the One is up to his eyeballs in this sludge. Raines, Johnson, Pritzker, the fact that his top ten contributors include Goldman Sachs, Lehman Brothers, Morgan Stanley, et al. The ACORN connection. The icing on the cake is Rezko, also connected with government housing and financial shell games with taxpayers money. Obama may be the dirtiest politician in Washington with regard to the housing bubble and all the fallout from its burst.

The only silver lining in all this is that if he is elected it will hopefully not take Republicans long to start impeachment proceedings.

Can I just say how incredibly pissed off I am.

I have known about this situation since 2003 and NPR’s Marketplace was covering this story (they covered it right through the 2004 hearings)

That the very BUFFOONS who were Fannie’s whores are now in the leadership positions in Congress responsible for the bill that is to salvage what is left of our economic system IS UNACCEPTABLE..

It’s Criminal. It’s wrong on so many levels…and they’re getting away with it.

We’ve lost our nation. The Federal Govt is responsible for too much.. a Congressman represents so many people that a individual is without any influence.

And a Senator can easily pretend that you don’t exist.

And we have a news media that is complicit in their corruption.

They are destroying this country and there is nothing we can do to stop it. There needs to be MILLIONS of people in the streets demanding they all leave our Congress immediately.

But it will never happen. Conservatives don’t do protests. Everyone is busy with work and family.

It’s a dark time and Russia and China and North Korea and Cuba and Venezuela and Iran and Saudi Arabia and Pakistan and Al Qaeda and HAMAS and God knows who else see our weakness and our INSANE politicians.

We’re in danger.

I suggest taking out ads in major newspapers presenting the FACTS with sources. Take up a collection to reveal the truth about Obama. Many people do not read or research on their own, and so do not know much about his background. The truth needs to migrate beyond the Internet.

Comment by Babs | 2008-09-27 13:41:56

The criminal bias of the media no lomger astounds me as it once did, and hopefully the message of bias is getting to the majority of Americans this time around. I flipped by CNN a few minutes ago, looking for a good football game, and saw Bill Schneider hyping a poll that showed Obama winning in all categories, even foreign policy! So I stuck around long enough to hear Dana Bash reminding him that the people polled were mostly Democrats! So how valid is that poll? Not valid at all, but it tells me that McCain really won this debate, if they have to report Democratically skewed polls in order to make Obama look good.

Comment by Linda | 2008-09-27 14:16:58

Uh oh….as the Democrats keep posturing and trying to push the bail out, but even MORE…..it’s losing support.

Just 24% of U.S. voters now favor the plan first proposed by Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson a week ago and the subject of very public negotiations on Capitol Hill ever since, according to a Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey taken Friday night.

Opposition to the bailout plan has grown even after federal regulators seized Washington Mutual late Thursday in the biggest bank failure in U.S. history. Seventy-two percent (72%) say they have followed stories on Washington Mutual, including 37% who say they have been following the news Very Closely.

Thirty percent (30%) favored the bailout plan in a survey taken Wednesday night even as President Bush was addressing the nation about the urgent need for Congress to pass it.

White House and Democratic leaders argue the plan to buy up bad mortgage debt from private firms is the surest way to free up credit for all Americans, but many GOP legislators fear the potential losses to taxpayers. Congressional Democrats are worried about voter opposition to the plan and don’t want to pass it without significant Republican support.

Ooops too late. Looks like this is getting known for a Democratic and Bush agenda. LOL

UPDATE TO MR. PHILLIP BERG’S LAWSUIT AGAINST BARACK OBAMA BASED ON OBAMA’S INELIGIBILITY ON HIS CANDIDACY AS REGARDS THE REQUIREMENTS OF NATURAL BORN CITIZENSHIP ACCORDING TO THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

Partial excerpt from an email I sent Mr. Berg:

“I trust the judge did not originally dismiss your lawsuit because it does indeed have merit. We, as Americans, in order to fulfill the intent and directive of our Constitution are bound by patriotic duty to determine the legal status of any citizen running for the Presidency of the United States; such determination of status having to do with a requirement that said citizen must be a natural born citizen. Mr. Obama should be required to present pertinent evidence that would allow a judge or qualified public official to determine if he is, or is not, a natural born citizen. It is a legal requirement.”

Mr. Berg sent this copy of Mr. Obama’s and the DNC’s response.

Update: http://www.nextgenerationcorp.com/NextGenBlog/?p=66

It appears that Mr. Obama is trying to stall the matter. The outstanding issue is Mr. Obama’s birth certificate (Certificate of Live Birth). It appears that so far he has obfuscated this issue as well by providing, or having his agents provide, a false certificate of birth for publication.

But to Mr. Obama’s determent, the people of the United States of America demand that he (Mr. Obama) remove himself from eligibility to run for any political office for which he is not qualified and/or for which he (Mr. Obama) will not publicly present authoritative qualification for his candidacy as required by the Constitution of the United States of America.

God bless.

A Genuine and Immediate Crisis
What Congress has to do now.
by William Kristol
09/27/2008 1:45:00 PM

I’ve received phone calls in the last hour from two economists I respect, one of them Larry Lindsey, the other in a position where he’d prefer not to be named. Both have government experience, neither is alarmist by nature, and they say this:

The huge European bank Fortis is apparently about to fail. The ripple effect on the American banking system could be disastrous, with bank runs, liquidity crises, and stock sell offs possible Monday. Wachovia may well fail next week. As Larry put it, this really will be 1933 soon if we don’t move rapidly to stabilize the banking system.

And here’s the bad news: the current bailout bill, whatever its merits and likelihood of passage, does nothing to address this.

Congress should pass by Monday simple legislation doing two things:

1. Giving the FDIC authority to provide unlimited deposit insurance through the FDIC for transaction accounts in banks.

2. Authorizing the Secretary of the Treasury to provide unlimited protection of principal in money market funds through the Treasury’s exchange stabilization fund.

Maybe my acquaintances (and I) are too worried; maybe this legislation wouldn’t quite be the right solution. But I wanted to sound what may be, unfortunately, a needed alarm.

THEY WANT TO GIVE 20% OF BAILOUT BILLIONS TO ACORN - OBAMA’S FRONT FOR ELECTION FRAUD AND MONEY LAUNDERING

…………just google obama money laundering and election fraud.

Last night, Greta Van Susteran interviewed Senator Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), an ardent McCain supporter. When I heard Sen. Graham refer to ACORN, I perked up. As it stands, if the bailout proposal goes through with the counter-proposals from Sen. Sen. Chris Dodd (D-Del.), ACORN would receive 20% of 700 billion dollars of the bailout money.

Curious to learn more about Graham’s references, I also read “Kill the bailout: More ACORN funding?!,” which offers this explanation of the Dodd counter-proposal:

“Senator Graham is referring to Section 5 of the Dodd counter-proposal to the Paulson Plan. To summarize, it promises a minimum 20% of the ‘profits’ from the Treasury’s sale of assets to The Housing Trust Fund and the Capital Magnet Fund.”
And this morning I found another mention of ACORN at HotAir in this article, The Democratic ACORN bailout. Ed Morrisey had this to say:

House Republicans refused to support the Henry Paulson/Chris Dodd compromise bailout plan yesterday afternoon, even after the New York Times reported that Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson got down on one knee to beg Nancy Pelosi to compromise. One of the sticking points, as Senator Lindsey Graham explained later, wasn’t a lack of begging but a poison pill that would push 20% of all profits from the bailout into the Housing Trust Fund — a boondoggle that Democrats in Congress has used to fund political-action groups like ACORN and the National Council of La Raza.

Just heard from several readers that Lindsay Graham told Fox that the Mother of All Bailouts includes a reported $100 million more in funding for the left-wing housing entitlement thugs and heavily tax-subsidized fraudsters at ACORN.

Under the original bailout proposal, apparently, a large portion of any repayment of the $700 billion would go to Barack Obama’s good friends at ACORN with a smaller allocation to debt repayment. Readers heard him say it was 20 percent.

It is time to wake up people. ACORN has already received money from the housing bill Bush signed into law. Now they are set to receive 20% of the management and money of the bailout bill. Along with all of that money, they are trying to affect the federal elections.

Dodd is the only senator who has occasionally taken more Fannie/Freddie money than Obama. The two of them are the greedy corrupt pigs who created this crisis……….AND THEY WANT MORE !!!!

OUR BAILOUT BILLIONS GOING TO OBAMA FRAUD GROUP

OBAMA USES ACORN FOR ELECTION FRAUD AND MONEY LAUNDERING

Laundering payments to ACORN through a front company, in a conspiracy to defraud the FEC is a crime.

Another glaring oddity is Stage, Lighting and Sound (SLS) %u2013 also a service never previously reported as a CSI offering. Obama made two payments for SLS to CSI within two days of each other. These payments were the largest checks made for “concerts” throughout the entire campaign calendar.

CSI received $310,000 followed by $160,000 two days later. Two days after that, CSI got a $98,000 check for Travel/Lodging. Two weeks after that another $74,000 was paid to CSI for SLS. Two weeks later, $18,000 for Polling was reported, followed by another $18,000 for SLS the following day.

All of the above payments went to a company that admits they provide none of the above services.

There are numerous federal offenses that may have been committed by the Obama campaign.

A complaint to the FEC is being prepared and could be filed soon.

OBAMA-ACORN IS STEALING ELECTION AGAIN

MORE OBAMA ELECTON FRAUD

Municipal clerks across the state are reporting fraudulent voter registration applications, most of them from a nationwide community activist group.

The majority of the problem applications are coming from the group ACORN, Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, which has a large voter registration program.

ACORN’’s Michigan branch, based in Detroit, has enrolled 200,000 voters statewide in recent months, mostly with the use of paid, part-time employees.

“There appears to be a sizeable number of fraudulent applications,” said Kelly Chesney, spokeswoman for the Michigan Secretary of State’’s Office. “And it appears to be widespread.”

Recently, ACORN’’s voter registration programs have come under investigation with some employees convicted of voter fraud.

In Pontiac, where several thousand applications have been submitted by ACORN in the last few weeks for the November election, the clerk’’s office is finding that numerous applications are sometimes filed under one name.

“They”re steadily coming in, and we are finding a huge number of duplications”.

In Oak Park, clerk Sandra Gadd said they have been seeing “lots of duplication” from ACORN in recent months.

ACORN is the nation’’s largest community organization for low-income families.

Lagstein said ACORN’’s Detroit office has hired dozens of employees for the voter registration program.

MORE OF OBAMA”S GOOD OLD “COMMUNITY ORGANIZING”.

I wish McCain had put the blame on Freddie and Fannie in the debate. I don’t know why he didn’t.

Republicans are for deregulation and welfare for big business, not democrats. Republicans George Bush and Paulson (who Bush appointed) proposed the bailout to steal an incredible amount of money from taxpayers.

Democrats are for censorship and big government, not Republicans. Democrats like Bill Clinton and Franklin Raines (who Clinton appointed) proposed to allow Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to make risky loans. They got us here in the first place.
