Reverse Mortgages are bad because they eliminate the equity? Not all equity is lost with a reverse mortgage. On top of that, to many seniors having left-over equity in their house after they die isn't an issue to them. It's not like they can take that equity with them when they leave this fine planet.

If they want to tap equity to improve their quality of life by taking trips, affording better health care, gifting it to their kids, setting up a college fund for grandkids etc... Who are you to say that's a bad deal for them?

I'm consistently amazed at the misleading comments made on reverse mortgages on the interwebz.

Pelosi on Fox was placing the blame on this Admin's failure to regulate! Brazen liar! She didn't bother to mention that the Dems had blocked every effort to institute relation since at least 2002, even came close to calling the warnings by regulators lies!

In the mess the govt is in, there is plenty of blame to go around, but I believe in giving credit where credit is due.

Wow, Obama is really worried about Missouri and Ohio. McCain is up 1 pt. in Ohio and 3 pts. in Missouri. He just needs to hold Obama off there and take back North Carolina, Virginia and take Pennsylvania, too.

Well, when Nancy Pelosi can joke about Hank Paulson being a Catholic when he kneels before her begging for a bailout, and she and Joe Biden cite Thomas of Aquinas' Summa Theologica, St. Augustine or any number of excuses as a Catholic argument in favor of abortion, you have politicians playing fast and loose with faith. The Pope doesn't stand for cafeteria Catholics, but this election will test their faith. There are consequences for your actions, whether you accept that or not.

Obama will try to rig votes, and the MSM will try to depress voter turnout. If McCain gets his base to turnout in large numbers and can sway Independents, he stands a good chance to win. He is without doubt the underdog in this race, but he is also the most likely winner.

I must be the only person alive that thinks a salary of $400,000 is an obscene amount, when the average salary for workers is a miniscule drop in a bucket to that.

Perry, As a policy matter which has been documented in Mr. Johnson's recent video, it appears the democrats have always been FOR getting the low income housing and other "community based" going. These are socialist policies instituted by Democrats NOT Republicans.

I am not casting judgment on these socialist "programs", I am just saying that Republican's are not interested historically in these programs.

While supply side economics is not the answer, it is factually dishonest to say the sub-prime mortgage was not the spawn of Dem's.

The erosion of labor's political influence has more to do with greed at the top.

Please explain the public rift in Nevada's SEIU's top echelons during the primary. Also the Role ACORN had in the PR primary. Or ACORNS role in Michigan and Florida's Dem primary outcome.

La Raza and ACORN met with Obama in Los Angeles. Do you think these organizations do anything to strengthen the role that labor plays?

Respectfully, get real. They are a blight on middle class working people of this country.

The Inuit people had a practice of leaving their elders on the ice packs for the polar bears when they went to meet their maker. And in turn would return to Inuit.

Obama and his crowd left humans to freeze and made profit from it. Who is the guilty party?

ACORN was defended by OBAMA. It is another way to launder dirty money. Have you looked recently at Rezko's ties to ACORN?

I see the whole economic ball of wax as NewHampsters wonderful analogy to Dune, as on the money.

As time goes by Americans make nothing, own nothing, and increasingly so, know nothing of their peril.

Or shall we fetch the Obama "Truth Squads" to tell us how to think or what news source to listen to?

Obama and the Dem's have not stood up for the 1st, 2nd, 4th 5th and 14th amendments of the Constitution of these United States, they have forsaken 18 million at the drop of a hat and the right to vote in a Chicago send.

I hate how the media is allowing Dems to blame McCain for the blow-up last week. According to what I've read, it blew up when the Dems turned the meeting over to Obama to lead.

To collect the Acorn money? Deutsch bank went under 2 years ago. They were one of the biggest peddlers of "loans that fail".
