Radicals Use Obama to Push anti-American Agendas

Barack Obama is a creation of like-minded professional and amateur political operatives. Whether it’s the corrupt Chicago Machine or the so-called progressives with their socialist agenda or the ruthless and power-grubbing leaders of the Democratic Party, Obama has arrived at the top of the ticket and tied in the polls as a politically “made man.”

From our research, it appears that Obama has been groomed as a manchurian candidate for many years. It is likely that Obama’s early contacts and influences compelled him to look for mentors and patrons who shared his political views and ambitions. For example, in the August 24th UK Telegraph, while Americans were encouraged to witness the coronation of Obama, Toby Harnden wrote about Communist Frank Marshall Davis as an early influence:

Maya Soetoro-Ng, Obama’s half-sister, told the Associated Press recently that her grandfather had seen Mr Davis was “a point of connection, a bridge if you will, to the larger African-American experience for my brother”.

Despite what Oprah or Spike Lee or Donna Brazille want people to think, Obama needed a bridge to Black America because his life has had nothing in common with African Americans. Harnden:

In his memoir, Mr Obama recounts how he visited Mr Davis on several occasions, apparently at junctures when he was grappling with racial issues, to seek his counsel. At one point in 1979 Mr Davis described university as “an advanced degree in compromise” that was designed to keep blacks in their place.

Mr Obama quoted him as saying: “Leaving your race at the door. Leaving your people behind. Understand something, boy. You’re not going to college to get educated. You’re going there to get trained.”

Obama needed help getting that training. And we know that Khalid al-Mansour, aka Donald Warner, mentor to Black Panther Huey Newton, asked his former business associate, Percy Sutton, to help Obama get into Harvard, which he did. However, did you know that Percy Sutton was Malcolm X’s lawyer? Adam Howard writes for Black Star News:

Sutton’s story did not begin in Harlem, but that’s where he attained his prominence and legendary stature. In the 1960’s Sutton became known in the community as an attorney who represented social activists. When Malcolm X, then considered a controversial figure by much of the corporate media, needed a lawyer, Sutton was the only man, Black or white, willing to represent him. The two became very close and he served as Malcolm X’s family lawyer before and after his death.

In addition to the Chicago Machine, Obama’s ascent has been created and forced on us by the so-called “progressives.” Not the little blogger boys of DKos and MyDD, or the embarrassingly effete groupies of Huffpo, but the gen-u-ine “progressives,” also known as Domestic Terrorists. Yes, I’m referring to the celebrity radicals, the role-models of Obama’s thugs: Bill Ayers, Tom Hayden, and another name in search for 15 minutes of fame, Mark Rudd. We find them gathered together on one site, Progressives for Obama. Their current headline reads:

Financial Crisis: Thinking About the Real Socialist Way Out:

Bailout! A Case for economic Democracy and Clearing the Path to Socialism

Tom Hayden describes the “call” of this group:

March 24, 2008 – All American progressives should unite for Barack Obama. We descend from the proud tradition of independent social movements that have made America a more just and democratic country. We believe that the movement today supporting Barack Obama continues this great tradition of grassroots participation, drawing millions of people out of apathy and into participation in the decisions that affect all our lives. We believe that Barack Obama’s very biography reflects the positive potential of the globalization process…

During past progressive peaks in our political history–the late thirties, the early sixties–social movements have provided the relentless pressure and innovative ideas…We intend to join and engage with our brothers and sisters in the vast rainbow of social movements to come together in support of Obama’s unprecedented campaign and candidacy. Even though it is candidate-centered, there is no doubt that the campaign is a social movement, one greater than the candidate himself ever imagined.

You can check out PFO’s signatories, but here’s the 411 on Mark Rudd, according to Aaron Klein:

Among the signatories and endorsers to Progressives for Obama is Mark Rudd, one of the main founders of the Weathermen terrorist organization. Rudd worked closely for years with Weathermen terrorist William Ayers, whose association with Obama has generated controversy for the presidential candidate.

Rudd originally was a top member of the Students for a Democratic Society, or SDS, leading the famed 1968 Columbia University strikes in which hundreds of students seized several university buildings. He also served as spokesman for the strikes, attracting international media attention.

In 1968, Rudd traveled with the SDS to Cuba, defying U.S. travel bans, where he says he was heavily influenced by the legacy of Che Guevara and by Cuban-style revolution. When he returned to the U.S., Rudd advocated for Columbia’s chapter of the SDS to carry out militant, aggressive action, but he was turned down.

The Weathermen took responsibility for bombing U.S. governmental buildings in the 1970s.

Rudd went underground in 1970, when a bomb exploded in a townhouse in Greenwich Village in New York City, killing three of his comrades. He lived for seven and a half years in hiding as a fugitive, finally surrendering in 1977, facing only low-level state charges after federal charges against Weathermen leaders had been dropped. He resurfaced as a teacher in New Mexico.

Klein’s article contains a link to Rudd’s own website. In spite of the fact that it’s important to expose Obama’s relationships to and endorsements by these unrepentent Domestic Terrorists, I personally hate giving these guys any attention. Bill Ayers’ memoir Fugitive Days will be re-released on January 12, 2009, I’m sure as a result of all the attention he’s receiving as Obama’s “neighbor.” Amazon includes this in its by-line:

“In February 2008, in the heat of the Democratic primary elections, speculations began circulating in the media about a connection between presidential hopeful Barack Obama and Bill Ayers, a former member of the radical 1960s group the Weather Underground.”

Jack Cashill thinks that Ayers was actually the author of Obama’s book, Dreams From My Father. Read Cashill’s three-part examination. I think he might be on to something,

One last thing: what interests me most about the PFO website are the instructions they include for their army of progressives. Hayden’s article Key Task: Isolate and Divide the Right, reads like something from Saul Alinsky’sRules for Radicals . (Shiver has written about Obama’s Alinsky Jujitsu.) Hayden makes clear that Sarah Palin is now their target :

September 13, 2008 – A principle reason for Progressives For Obama is so that we can say things that the Obama campaign cannot or will not say.

This is one of those times.

1. Sarah Palin is a mortal threat to the possibility of Obama winning. The reason is simple: if she can add a couple of points to McCain from defecting white women and the newly-energized right wing religious base without losing more independent votes, McCain pulls ahead in some key states.

I’m horrified that I ever considered myself a progressive Democrat. In my defense, it was not then the cruel Bolshevikization of the Democratic Party, as Charles Lemos so clearly described back in June.

My point is that Bozo is neither a socialist or a communist. In fact, it would hard to determine where or even if he has an ideological center.

What I’ve found in my research and described above is that specific groups of people, Black nationalists and the so-called progressives who hanker to be thought of as genuine radicals are using Bozo to push their positions.

i think that Bozo is an empty suit, but not a mindless empty suit. He knows where his bread is buttered, as they say.

Do the research.

Comment by Perry Logan | 2008-09-29 15:21:46

The Republicans may be the victims of their own compulsive repetitiveness on this.

Right wingers seem unaware that they repeat themselves constantly. Some conservatives seem less like human beings than answering machines.

As a student of the political right, I can say with confidence that the right ALWAYS says EVERY Democratic candidate for President is a commie. They said this of FDR, JFK, LBJ, Bill Clinton, John Kerry…and Hillary Clinton.

I’m sure that if Hillary were our nominee, our right-wing friends would surely be telling us she’s part of a commie plot. In fact, a local wingnut here in Austin was promoting PhotoShop images of Hillary in front of a Soviet flag. Republicans are as repetitive as a case of hiccups.

So when people come to NQ and see us talking about the commie takeover, most of them just laugh and move on. Decades of compulsive lying about Democrats does not serve the Republicans well, if in fact a real commie has finally come along with Obama and his crew. It’s a simple case of The Boy Who Cried Wolf.

We’ve seen Perry state the same comments over and over again. We’re tired of disputing it, John. We are pro-Hillary democrats. but we are not blind to Obama, his associates, his connections etc. Perry has a hate-repubs problem. I dont. I just dont agree with repub policies. but I see Obama = Bush3. so McCain is much better. thats it. :-)

That is it exactly. Oblockhead is unfit, unqualified, and a dnager to our Republic. We don’t need any other pejoratives to make the case, when these three reasons alone suffice.

Don’t worry about it when the trolls show up. That just means it was a good article and they get REALLY upset when the truth is told about their fake ass candidate. This story warranted a “TROLL TAG TEAM” so it’s REALLY GOOD. Ha! I love it when they start posting…because I KNOW then FOR SURE that we hit a nerve…and they are verrrry insecure (with good reason).

Comment by C.S. | 2008-09-29 17:03:22

We each and everyone of us need to leave our comfort zones here at least once a day and go to an enemy site, or at least another site and post information that we find here. Right now except for the occasional troll and Perry Logan we are singing to the chior.

Cut and past articles from here and email them and ask your contacts to send them on. It is just US and like minded people. If we don’t stop it now, we will give up our lives and our childrens lives to win Liberty back in the future. We may not even win it back then.

Perry needs to remember that he’s talking to Dems cum Independents who have never called ANY of the people he listed “commies.” Actually, I don’t think I have ever called anyone a “commie” not even what right wingers might call “commies.”

Perry has taken the broad brush from the hands of the right wingers and is starting to use it a little to, uh, um liberally if you ask me.

I keep having to remind myself that this site USED to be populated by local Democrats for Hillary like myself. But over the past few months, Democratic Ideals have been crowded out by posters who throw “Socialist” and “Marxist” and “Communist” around like junior league Joe McCarthys.

Apparently, if you want to be a Good No Quarter Poster these days, you must:

1. Call any Progressive economic plan “Marxist.”
2. Celebrate the transfer of wealth from the middle class to the Rich as “American.” Attack any suggestion that we might begin to transfer wealth from the rich to the middle class as “class warfare” and, of course, “Socialist.”
3. Refering to Ted Kennedy as a murderer from time to time always helps.

I don’t believe there are a whole lot of Democrats here anymore.

I’ve been here awhile as have many others currently posting. Most are disaffected former Democrats. The three points you raise are bs–no regular does that.

Correct. Only trolls posing as PUMAs do that.

Comment by Mr. X | 2008-09-29 15:59:57

Also, it’s actually the MSM that is calling the bailout socialist. A $700 billion dollar buyout by the government is as socialist as you can get. But I haven’t seen very many people bring that up because it’s so damn obvious. The MSM has made the socialist point quite clear, so John can take it up with them.

Maybe an unbiased poli-sci expert can clarify what it actually is. Nationalizing came to mind to me.

Comment by Ferd McBerfle | 2008-09-29 16:21:11

I don’t believe that either. It’s interesting to me that Republicans were willing to starve to death to provide funds to attack iraq and support Dubya’s free-market nonsense, but now that there’s an impending depression that will visit horrific suffering on Americans across the board, the Republicans don’t want to come across with funds to help other Americans. As if taking our tax dollars and giving them to the likes of Dick Cheney’s former company isn’t corrupt. But averting the meltdown of the economy is SOCIALISM. How very Patriotic.

Well, I guess the evangelical christian god is going to take care of those people. Bwahahaha!!!!

Comment by Jules | 2008-09-29 16:42:51

Umm, you know the Democrats can pass whatever they want to, right????? They have the majority. They don’t need Repub votes for anything, so if you want to make this argument, the Dems are to blame for not passing anything…especially Psycho Pelosi. Pelosi and Obama couldn’t bring their own party together? Losers!!! Obama couldn’t even be bothered with the crisis. He’s too busy campaigning and is too weak to take a stand. He also needs time to strut around in front of his mirror and do crunches while the economy is facing disaster.

And you think free market is nonsense? Why don’t you study some history and find out how successsful socialism is?

You think Republicans don’t want to fund the bailout? The vast majority of Americans (both parties) are against the bailout. Republicans are trying to come up with a way to SAVE the taxpayers money by removing Democrats’ earmarks and they are also reviewing alternative plans rather than just writing a blank check. It’s called using some brains.

1. There are no progressive plans except the one Hillary released the other day. Unfortunately for us, she’s not our candidate. Bozo hasn’t released his plan, probably because he doesn’t have one. The so-called “progressives” practice crank marxism.
2. What transfer of wealth? You mean the millions and millions of dollars that Bozo has acquired from the bundlers, the corporations and the crooked Chicago machine. Bozo and what used to be the Democratic party hate working people. It’s Whole foods nation or bust, baby.

In the past, I’ve personally never thought of Democrats as any of those things (traitors, anti-american, terrorist lovers). I am kind of a social liberal and an economic conservative. However, we are witnessing a new incarnation of the Democratic party. Some dangerous people have gotten control. And I now think it is all of those things. Maybe not the entire party, but certainly the people at the top. For me to ever take the democrats seriously again, they have got to get some reasonable people in there that govern more toward the center. Nancy Pelosi has got to go. Barack Obama has got to go.

Comment by Shiloh | 2008-09-29 15:55:51

Back around June, even I thought the claims that Obama was a manchurian candidate of some kind were over the top and paranoid. But now I think it is real. I remain confident though, that the real Obama will be exposed and defeated. I remain confident, but it is more scary when the downside is so much further down than I used to think.

Comment by wonderwoman | 2008-09-29 18:02:02

I have felt that he is the manchurian candidate in that he is so phoney. I never thought the press would fall in love with him, Chris Matthews maybe. I rmeber a couple of years ago Chris Matthews said that blacks like Oprah and Tiger Woods were out heros today. I thought that was strange then. When I look at Obama is makes sense.

I’ll ditto that. No party has every really defined who I am as a person. I’ve seen good and bad come from both parties over the years. I never cared what anyone else called the party. I liked what McCain said on George’s show yesterday …. “it’s business,” so when people started in with contrarianism for its own sake, I just tuned out. But this election I was so engaged in one candidate. And I was really paying attention. I think that that is where the real wake up call came from. I was engaged, watched, read, evaluated and can’t for the life of me figure out how to go back to blind acceptance. Not for any party. Fortunately in McCain, you have the antithesis of a “Republican” running as their candidate. That makes it easier to vote for him. I’m not voting for a “Republican” as much as I am voting for John McCain.

Comment by tzada | 2008-09-29 18:06:51

Wish I could have said it as well beehop. I agree with you.. and we can never go back to just assuming that all American believe in our Constitution and love the USA.

Some like Barack and Michelle miss no opportunity to tell American’s and the world over, how bitter they are at America. Anyone who is ashamed of this country has no business asking for our votes.

Keeping that in mind I will give my vote to Senator McCain and Govenor Sarah Palin.

Freedom Fighter – No intelligent person would ever make such an idiotic comment as yours. Since recent elections have been so close (even discounting voting irregularities), one can deduce that the electorate is relatively evenly divided into D&R + some floating independents. Are you then proposing that roughly half the populace deserve those epithets? What about the other half. Since BO has certainly proved himself to be sexist, can play the race minority card (despite evidence that he actually carries only 6.25% black genes, which is half the amount needed to qualify as a minority)as well as anyone, and has enough radical friends for one to bandy the “C” word around in answer to the “McC”, why should any intelligent person vote for him?

Comment by TeakWoodKite | 2008-09-30 01:35:13

If the vote in the House is any indicator, more than a third of this country is reflected in this “independent”. Lord knows why some DSA members voted against this “bail out”, (theft) only time will tell.

At this point, Blaming Bush is a non starter. That was stipulated when the Dems had there collective spines ripped out, like something out of Predator.

We know what Hillary’s agenda is and what she would try to accomplish as POTUS. We do not know who Obama is or what he really stands for besides his own ambition…

Uh-Bama has surrounded himself with radical communists for decades. It’s ok to call somebody a genocide-approving psychopath if they’re a genocide-approving psychopath. The choice is between representative democracy and whatever road leads to Stalinism.

Chicken-Commies never move to North Korea or Cuba to work in the fields and help with the revolution there. Why is that?

Comment by NoBamaNoWay | 2008-09-29 22:34:05

yep; they want to move cuba and saudi arabia HERE! if they think those places are so great, let them move there. of course they’d be shaking in their little boots if they actually had to go live somewhere where they practice what obamites preach.

“the right ALWAYS says EVERY Democratic candidate for President is a commie.”

What’s new is now you see lifelong Democratic voters saying it. Not that I believe Obama is a Communist. He was just recruited and promoted by Communists. But Jesse Jackson Jr. and Spike Lee are too smart to be played by Communists. So the joke is on the Ultra-Left. When will they ever learn? Nobody likes them.

I still can’t get past this man sitting in that church for TWENTY years listening to a pastor spew hatred towards whites and the usa and NOT feeling OFFENDED – his mom is white! This is just the kind of man he is though. He even threw his mom under the bus way back then.
This Democrat’s mind has been made up since Hillary was ‘not’ the nominee. MCCAIN/PALIN all the way!

Don’t forget that in his great “race” speech, Obama claimed that he NEVER heard any of those offensive comments from Wright. What people (especially the media) overlook is the fact that Obama was able to actually DEFEND Wright’s comments, even claiming they were taken “out of context”, and never question HOW, without actually hearing the correct context, Obama could defend Wright’s words.

Comment by Mr. X | 2008-09-29 16:06:54

You don’t understand Obama. He’s a lawyer FIRST. Always remember that. So when he says he never heard offensive comments, he means that he doesn’t find them offensive in the first place as he’s said many times. By that logic, he can say with a straight face that he never heard offensive comments (because they aren’t offensive to HIM). Doesn’t mean he didn’t hear those comments though.

Comment by I'll vote for Ohitler when there's frost in hell and Lucifer himself is constructing a snowman | 2008-09-29 16:21:31

means that he doesn’t find them offensive

But most Americans concerned about equality would find them offensive. His parsing of the truth makes him look weak.

I thought that he finally said that he did hear them but that he put it off as a case that Reverand Wright, like his White grandmother are the products of their upbringing. I guess in 0bama’s word fear (grandma) is just the same as unbridled hatred (wright).

This is an open letter to all PUMAs. Please forward and share this post.

Dear PUMAs,

As we get into the final stretch of the election, I want to ask those of you who are planning to write-in Hillary or vote third party to instead vote for John McCain.

We are at a critical juncture in American history. This election is very important. We are facing a severe economic crisis that is more dangerous to our nation’s stability than any threat of terrorism. To compound this problem, we are hitting “peak oil,” which means our supplies of oil are decreasing while the demands of the world (India and China) are increasing.

This is a perfect storm that could very well turn America into a third world country overnight.

At the same time, we have Obama, a very charismatic candidate, a blank slate who instills such rabid loyalty in his followers that many have compared his rise and ascension to that of Hitler. Many have called him a “Manchurian Candidate,” a puppet propped up and guided by powerful forces who want to control and dominate the United States.

If you think this is far-fetched, that the comparisons between Obama and Hitler are unwarranted, then consider that Obama already has created “Obama Truth Squads,” run not just by volunteers, but by paid government employees, who are vowing to prosecute anyone who runs a negative “false” ad against Obama.

Then there is “Camp Obama,” a training ground for Obama’s “civilian army.”

Obama has stolen the Democratic nomination through voter fraud and cheating. With his association with ACORN, many suspect that he plans to try to steal the general election as well.

Can we afford to this man in the White House? At a time of severe economic crisis, do you want a leader who:

1. Actively perpetrates voter disenfranchisement to promote his candicacies.

2. Stifles free speech through government-paid prosecutors.

3. Is training a civilian army of brainwashed Camp Obama graduates.

4. Exhibits tendencies towards Narcissistic Personality Disorder and egotism.

5. Is backed by powerful interests who have shown no guilt or remorse in taking out entire economies just to make a profit (George Soros).

If you look back in history, you will see that dictators are usually born out of times of economic uncertainty.

I am not saying that Obama will go out and start a holocaust like Hitler (frankly, I think Obama has shown himself to be more interested in his own ego than in doing the work it takes to perform such atrocities). But I am saying that if Obama gets elected, we may very well kiss the America we’ve known good-bye.

So for those of you who may have never voted Republican in your life before, who would shudder at the thought of voting for a pro-life candidate, who can’t stomach putting John McCain into office, I ask you to consider the alternative.

The polls that show a lead for Obama of about 6-8 points are often at ratios of 50 to 44%. This means that 6% of voters are planning to vote third party or are undecided. It is that 6% that will decide the election.

Thus, if you vote for a third-party candidate, or write Hillary in, you are effectively voting Obama into office.

The election will be extremely close and there may well be fraud and shenanigans on election day favoring Obama.

Please, I beg you – especially if you in a swing state – hold your nose and vote for McCain. While there is no guarantee that McCain can handle our economic mess, we can all agree that McCain is a humble man who has no interest in being American dictator.

We cannot say the same for Obama.

With your vote for McCain, we can and will keep this country safe from Obama. But we need your votes!

PLEASE PUMAS, UNITE BEHIND MCCAIN!

Thank you!

I always sensed there was something not democratic about so called progressives and that they merely infiltrated and hijacked our party to push their own agenda.

As I have family in South America I’ve paid attention to the news there and I’ve known for some time that there are certain “dems” in DC who like Chavez and farc and repeatedly try to undermine Uribe’s government.

As PUMAS our mission is not merely to defeat Obama but those in the DNC who’ve made this travesty possible.

Look at the people at HuffPo who’ve constantly attacked Hillary such as Ehrenreich, Laura Flanders, etc. These people may call themselves democrats but they are NOT. They belong to various socialist organizations. Heck, Flanders’ grandfather Claud Cockburn (journalist) was a Soviet double agent. It was during the Spanish Civil war that George Orwell figured out who he was and who he really worked for.

I am a Repulican who is for McCain. I have been researching Obama since this past Feb. If Hillary had won the primary it would’ve been hard for McCain to beat her. After Hillary was knocked off of the ticket ( I think Obama cheated) I was hoping something would happen that would force Obama to step down. If that would’ve been the case, I actually would’ve been relieved and contrary to what Perry Logan believes, I DO NOT think Hillary is a COMMIE. Don’t get me wrong, I would still want McCain before Hillary but I could live no problem with a Hillary Presidency. I know that she loves her country unlike O’Hitler.

Comment by John | 2008-09-29 15:49:13

Socialism is NOT communism. Socialism is also not the same thing as a dictatorship.

Public education is a form of socialism. Any public ANYTHING is socialism.

A pure capitalist society would be more like pure Libertarianism, where you wouldn’t even have a public fire department – you’d have to pay for a private fire department to take care of your burning house.

So please, stop throwing socialism around like this – it makes this website look like it’s a bunch of right wing reactionaries.

My guess is that half the people who throw the word “Socialist!” around on this blog have no idea what it means- they are just parroting what they hear on Limbaugh, Ingraham, Hannity etc.

Comment by Ferd McBerfle | 2008-09-29 16:17:20

I don’t care what his ideology is–it is immaterial since the big three reasons not to elect him have nothing to do with ideology.

1. He is unfit for office
2. He is unqualified for office
3. He is a dnager to the Republic

I don’t need to add anything else to that list. And I would hasten to add that he is more like GWB than a marxist/communist/maoist, but that is my opinion.

Obamalobotobots cannot justify the election of this man because they can’t get around the Big Three without spinning bs into souffle.

“My guess is that half the people who throw the word “Socialist!” around on this blog have no idea what it means- they are just parroting what they hear on Limbaugh, Ingraham, Hannity etc.”

That attitude is a lot more mainstream than Limbaugh. My negative opinion is the result of Orwell’s Animal Farm, The God That Failed, and The Federalist Papers — also, the collapse of the USSR. Also what I’ve seen with my own eyes, like ‘counter-recruitment’ drives to discourage young Americans from joining the Armed Forces. That goes way beyond opposing the Iraq War.

But you are right, socialists definitely have an image problem in the U.S.

Socialism in a purely academic sense sounds lovely. That’s NOT what ACORN, the Bots, and the so-called progressives are after.

“Public education is a form of socialism” – absolutly wrong.

All I have to say is that Bill and Hillary Clinton are growth-democrats. They know exactly how to manage the economy, in order to make it grow. Obama is a re-distribution democrat. In this time of financial crisis, obamas policies would be catastrophic.

Comment by lark | 2008-09-29 16:25:44

I accept that Hillary and Bill Clinton are master at the business of economic growth. I don’t agree with a lot of the things they do, but I support them because I don’t claim to know anything and there are many good ways to do something. Not only one way. But I know that Oblahblah will destroy our economy and our nation and as gravy he will ‘change our country’ by attacking the Constitution and moving to impinge socialist changes to it.

Now that Hillary is not running and that she has made a large number of political mistakes, I will not support her positions anymore. I will support her as a Senator under a McCain administration. Only.

I don’t believe for one second that Hillary Clinton is a communist. However my positive feelings for her have diminished since she is supporting and helping Obama. If somehow she got on the ticket, I would still vote for McCain.

Hillary is doing what she has to do…she’s no good to anyone ostracized (see: lieberman) by half her joke of a party.

And forget the Republican bent; why shoudl SHE have to change her ideals because nutters have hijacked her party?

A comment on our odd sociology here at NQ: I have not been a democrat or a republican for a long time. I have voted for both at different times. Anyway, we sit here in this virtual room of ours and sometimes we look at who is sitting next to us and we are like OMG what am I doing next to him. So it is in this weird time.

I hope it will have a positive effect that lasts beyond this election. Republican and Democrat are labels that sometimes blind us to the truth. I know I will be less quick from now on to think and say democrats this or republicans that, as if they are all the same.

This event shows us that sometimes partisanship can be a collaboration around values, but just as often it can be another form of bigotry. Let’s try to avoid it, cast off the R&D uniforms, and just beat the crap out of Obama. Partisanship within our ranks right now is divisive and counter to the goal. We should regard those who fan flames of partisanship with suspicion for that reason.

Comment by Evgenia | 2008-09-29 16:27:20

It makes me that much more worried that Obama will get elected. In times of perceived, economic instability, people are more likely to be swayed by leaders with fascistic tendencies.

Actually I’m more worried that if he somehow becomes POTUS, Obama would relegate the daily grind of governing to his even more radical associates, while he holds townhall meetings on Oprah everyday. We all know he’s interested in the celebrity aspect associated with being POTUS more than anything.

Comment by Shiloh | 2008-09-29 16:47:36

Actually in those times people tend to prefer stability which translates into well known and respected caretaker rather than brash, young idealistic, radical.

All dozen or so of you tinfoil hat Obama-conspiracy-theory nutjobs obviously don’t get tired of the sound of your own voices echoing in this smelly, squalid, little mental hole you’ve dug for yourselves here. Aren’t you tired of this silliness yet?

Tell you what: when you’re ready to rejoin civilization here in the 21st century, you’re welcome to come back. (And won’t you drag Mayor Funderburk kicking and screaming back to the real world with you?? It must be awfully lonely and frightening in that dark medieval world he inhabits!)

And really: somebody’s grandfather was a Soviet agent and that’s what you use to prove they’re a no-good librul or whatever you’re accusing them of??

Gak. It’s all pretty astonishing.

I’ll be back on Inauguration Day after President Obama’s speech to give my regards.

Why don’t you come back when Obama’s ass is hauled off to the big house along with Blago.

And Flanders IS a socialist. Some of us are actually informed.

Now go back to Axelrod and report that those “Clinton b!*ches still won’t budge”.

Are you one of the homeless Obama’s trying to register to make up for the over 8 million Clinton supporters who won’t be voting for his sorry ass?

When Kerry lost only 6% of dems did’nt vote for him. The number of Clinton dems not voting for Barky is much MUCH higher than 6% :D

No, I bet he’s not homeless. They got him in front of the liquor store.

I know where you can stick your 25 cents… on second thought, contribute to Hillary to pay down her debt. Then when that’s paid off, you can send your extra cash to the One’s criminal defense fund. He’s going to need every penny.

Jack Cashill thinks that Ayers was actually the author of Obama’s book, Dreams From My Father. Read Cashill’s three-part examination. I think he might be on to something

Considering who Jack is I’d definitely say so.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Cashill

Jack Cashill … is an Emmy Award-winning American author and journalist best known for his investigative reporting on American government and politics. Cashill is a weekly contributor to the online journal WorldNetDaily and executive editor of Ingram’s Magazine in Kansas City, Missouri. Jack has co-written with James Sanders the groundbreaking exposé First Strike: TWA Flight 800 and the Attack on America on the mysterious crash of TWA Flight 800 in July 1996.

Jack has written at least seven books including Ron Brown’s Body: How One Man’s Death Saved the Clinton Presidency and Hillary’s Future , 2006: The Chautauqua Rising, Hoodwinked: How Intellectual Hucksters Have Hijacked American Culture, and Sucker Punch: The Left Hook that Dazed Ali and Killed King’s Dream. He has also written and produced several documentaries, such as Silenced: TWA Flight 800, Mega Fix and the Emmy Award-winning The Royal Years.

He has written for Fortune, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, and The Weekly Standard.

He served as a Fulbright professor in Nancy, France.

I’d say that’s definitely not tinfoil hat quality.

In all fairness – MyDD was not an in-the-tank site for Obama. Jerome Armstrong MyDD’s founder and central blogger was an avid Clinton supporter. Because it is a group blog, there were some posters who favored Obama. But as a whole throughout the entire primary, it had a clear Clinton tilt. As with most sites, the Obamabots viciously polluted the comments. But labeling MyDD a “so-called progressive” and saying it participated in forcing Obama on us, is patently unfair. MyDD, in fact, was a true progressive site and Jerome Armstrong is as true a progressive as there is.

Some of you are from the late 60s and remember the bad guys that use to scare you around the block. They scared their own race and mostly the whites. They even scared Martin Luther King. Those people use to put their fist up in the sky and call it Black Power or as we have it today, Black Liberation Movement. The only difference today is that they have anglo saxons, Jews and other nationalities that have joined this force called Black Liberation Movement. But, they are just as scary as in the 60s. These, Billy Ayers doubles, are trying to take over our country, and they have taken the black liberation movement and joined forces. Now, we have radicals and liberation thugs. These thugs are really taking over our country, believe it or not. I have a friend, who I considered smart, professional and a good person that told me today that she is following the suggestion of Hillary Clinton. I said, well, don’t you read up on this guy? And her response was, “anything is better than Bush.” These are the people that will sell out our country, the ignorants, the college rah rah students, the liberals, the haters of america, the haters of values and the unpatriotic. It is scary to see that if Mr. Obama is able to do what he did to Governor Blunt and the power he used to do it, we can see what is ahead for us, a socialist Cuba. Where a thug who came down from the mountain and trained his white pigeons to decent on him to the impress his followers. Many believed that the pigeons that came down on his head were from G-d and look at Cuba now? Obama is not using pigeons- but he is using our airwaves to bring the flock to him and to deceive them. Another Castro and we will abide by his rule if the media has anything to do with it. The media must be awaken from this sleepy slumber before November 2008.

I read the piece on “Progressives for Obama” about how the bailout could be used to clear the path to socialism in this country. The author is a professor of philosophy, in other words, a denizen of the loftiest of the ivory towers. Truly, the piece is laughable.

The author suggests that the failed corporations should be given to the taxpayers and then run by worker councils. Decisions made daily on a consensus basis. Anyone who has ever attended a business meeting will see how utterly ineffective and wasteful such a system would be. Obviously, this professor has never held a job outside of academia.

I can’t believe people still think that type of socialism can work. They ought to call themselves regressives rather than progressives.

Comment by street_parade | 2008-09-30 01:01:13

I don’t think this kind of socialism ever existed outside of some hippie dream-state. It sure as hell never existed in the USSR, China, Cambodia…take your pick.

They are so naive, its painful.

BO is like a performer who is being directed from off stage – you can see the shadows behind the curtain but can’t quite make out their faces. Thanks for putting a few more faces to the shadows.

I think the master here is George Soros, though. What exactly he wants from us (America) I don’t know. But this is his production.

Obama has not been forthright in telling Americans who he is, who he has been associated with, or what he will do if elected. If the media had done its job in vetting Obama from the beginning … and if 18 months ago Americans knew what they know today about Obama, he would never have made it this far. I would be willing to bet that there are still volumes that we don’t know about Obama, and even more Obama is not telling us about what he would do once elected. We also don’t know where much of his 600 million dollars in campaign contributions came from … possibly foreign nationals. Obama’s donations are literally enabling him to buy the Presidency of the United States. And then there’s Acorn, and voter fraud, which all seems to be favoring Obama. A socialistic agenda will ruin America … whose 200+ year capitalistic ideology has made us the country where everyone wants to live … even at risk of life and limb! It’s pretty obvious that McCain loves America, not just in words, but in deeds that cost him dearly. I don’t mind some changes, but changing our entire free enterprise system for socialism is NOT change I can believe in. I don’t trust Obama. I think he will say or do anything to get elected. These are just some of the reasons I’m voting for McCain/Palin on November 4th.
