ACORN Nailed Registering Dead People in Indiana

ACORN, Barack Obama’s own special organization has been caught in Indiana illegally registering people to vote. Not just any people. At least one of them is dead. Just like they do in Chicago.

“Fraudulent applications are the workings of ACORN groups operating from Milwaukee and Chicago who are getting out the vote for Obama. I’m Republican, but I want everyone who should vote to vote. But I want a clean election,” Curley said at a Wednesday news conference.

Lake County elections officials acknowledged they have found problems and had to reject a large portion of the 5,000 registration forms turned in recently by the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, or ACORN, an activist group that conducted registration drives across the county this summer.

ACORN. The organization that started in Chicago, represented and trained in the art of lender intimidation and voter registrations by a smarmy special precious lawyer and “Community Organizer” named Barack Obama.

The organization that used completely relaxed laws to get mortgages for people who could never afford to pay for their homes to the tune of crashing Wall Street. ACORN. The organization that Socialists masquerading as Democrats in Congress wanted to give 20% of a revenues from a Trillion Dollar bailout to. That ACORN.

Elections Board Director Sally LaSota and Ruthann Hoagland, a county elections board technologist overseeing voter registration, said Wednesday it appears some ACORN vote canvassers pulled names and addresses from telephone books and forged their signatures.

Curley said one registration form was filled out in the name and address of Jimmy John’s, a Crown Point fast-food outlet. Another registration, dated in August, is in the name of a Gary man who died Nov. 16, 2007, according to his death certificate.

Hoagland said large numbers of voter registration forms bore signatures all in the same apparent handwriting style.

Nothing new for ACORN. They are under suspicion in a number of states for the same problem at this very moment. They declare themselves as Non Partisan, which makes the “Let’s Take Over The World“ and love on Obama video seem rather odd, doesn’t it?

ACORN is very busy though. They are always very busy when the press tries to reach them.

An ACORN spokesperson couldn’t be reached Wednesday for comment.

Like all criminal organizations, their phones are disconnected as they move on to their next voter fraud state targets.

Telephones to ACORN offices in Gary, Indianapolis, Chicago and Milwaukee were reported to be disconnected.

Note: Gary Indiana is the city with the Mayor who held up primary results till midnight while he said he intended to to count absentee ballots first, which is unheard of. This scam continued through the evening until other surrounding mayors called bullsh*t on him and forced him to release the results. Hillary Clinton’s lead there was suddenly cut drastically that night. A few more hours and that lead might have been gone completely if the mayor was busy counting ACORN’s voters.

Is McCain going to be ready to fight the coming fraud. I can’t stand to watch another Comfy Senator like Kerry do another lay down because the Senate is such a nice place to go back to. I believe he will fight but I’d sure like to hear of some plans.

Comment by Shiloh | 2008-10-03 14:59:09

If you hear the plans then the other side does too. Loose lips sink ships.

Comment by Dr. Kate | 2008-10-03 18:42:05

However, it is important to note that the use of names from death certificates is very much a WEATHER UNDERGROUND tool, to create fake ids, etc, and now register dead people to vote.

It might be a good idea to notify every state and county death records office of this potential.

I believe Obama’s tactics are Alinsky, Bill Ayers, and revolutionary, including the “in your face” techniques, race, gender, class card to promote white guilt, and the diversion of “hope” which is masquerading as something else.

So be on the look out! Remember Howard Dean’s 50 state strategy enabled the placement of democrats in key positions regarding voting.

Comment by goldengrahme | 2008-10-03 21:23:49

In Ohio they have stretched the laws and new voters can register and vote at the same time. The Obama people are trying to register even underage kids; there is no way to double check even minimal requirements–age, address, eligibility, etc. (Reported from people on the ground in OHIO) *Republicans are using cadging lists again, sending ballots to voters with wrong return address so that they won’t be counted. (*source “The Free Press,” Columbus)

In other words, the true vote will never be known. So what else is new? Then there remains the problem with the electronic voting machines. Never cleared up despite money thrown at the problem by Congress.

From my point of view, what we see going on here is the a battle of two groups who think they have the moral high ground. So many right-wing fundie religious people are determined to vote Republican in the name of God; while so many leftists supporting minority causes are determined to vote for equality. Both are skirting the law and the spirit of democracy.
The GOP has hijacked Jesus and the far left has hijacked common decency.

I could say, “let the best man win.” But I don’t think that is possible. We all lose in this environment of lawlessness and disregard
for principle.

I think we should contact all deceased American citizens and firmly inform them that they no longer have the right to vote.

Dian LC
I agree.
Plus we need to keep each other informed as to what is going on throughout our country with regards to this.

I have collected so many valuable tips from NQ authors and bloggers-tips that I follow up on and repost on to other blogs;

Every time I read/hear anything, I will post on NQ as an OT item. I will include source link wherever possible (Larry Susan-hope this is ok)

We need to keep track of what ACORN and others are doing.

We need to help independent journalists by throwing tips out to them. There are many good journalists out there who want to help expose the truth but honestly do not have the time to conduct the initial research. We can help them out in that area by recording unusual voting related activities.
Time is running out.

Okay, what is wrong with those people standing there with “honk to save my home” signs in their hands. I mean the first thought that came to my mind is, shouldn’t they be out doing something to save their homes instead of holding signs?

Instead a more reasoned excuse came to mind. Those people either 1. Don’t really own a home or 2. Their action shows why they are loosing their homes.

Go out and get a second job or sell your house if you can’t afford it. I KNOW you can be making at least 7.50 an hour or more at a job instead of holding sign up for cars.

I don’t know about the ones pictured, but people need to understand just how bad the predatory lenders were. So I will tell you how my wife and I were LIED to and ended up losing our home.

We had just moved to Indiana, and were looking for an affordable yet decent place for ourselves and 4 children. We found a nice new construction 4 bedroom home for $109,000. The loan officer from Countrywide said our payments would be around $650 a month, and that the property taxes would be about $1000-$1200 pr year. We did not receive our payment booklet until 3 months after we had moved in, and were supposed to have a 3yr abatement on the property taxes. It was all BS! When we got our payment schedule, the monthly payments were actually $750 a month. We tightened our budget and made it through for a year. Then we found out the builders had failed to submit the papers for the tax abatement’s. It was only then we learned the truth. The property taxes were not $1000 yr, but $3000 yr! My wife and I struggled on as best as we could, we let the cable tv, internet, home phone, cell phones go keeping only a prepaid cell for emergencies. Squeezing that unexpected $300 per month out of a tightly controlled budget was not easy at all. That went on for about 6 months until we learned about the nice increases they had started doing on the ARM’s. Our neighbor who had moved into the subdivision 1 1/2 years before us, suddenly had their monthly payments go up an additional $400 per month! That was when we knew for sure, there was no way we could save our house no matter how tightly we tried to control every penny we spent. We tried to have a third party purchase the house at slightly below market to keep the home from foreclosure, but Country Wide was not interested in anything but full payments, even after we should them that the loan officer was deceptive, and we discovered had actually changed info before he submitted it to the company falsely saying we had more income that we did. Fall and cooler temperatures…thus heating bills were rapidly approaching. So we stopped making the home payments and saved the money to move. Shortly after that the house was sold at Sheriffs auction.

Comment by MBC | 2008-10-03 19:05:25

POdVet,
I am very sorry to hear your story. I am sure there are many more honest hardworking individuals who were taken advantage of by the predatory lenders, builders, realtors, etc. I am hopeful your family is doing better now and that you receive some of the benefits of the rescue plan.

Comment by POdVet | 2008-10-03 20:18:53

I’m not expecting to receive anything, it just burns my ass when people assume everyone who lost their home did so because they weren’t willing to make an effort. The bailout is a BAD idea, not because people don’t deserve and need some help, but because the PEOPLE wont get any help regardless! If they really wanted to do an appropriate aid package to save people from losing their homes, they could. But notice no politician or their corporate sponsors have suggested the simple step of using these billions to take over the loans at a lower fixed interest rate, that would help the home owners and the businesses all at the same time. Gee just imagine it, hundreds of thousands of people would be able to save their homes and the money would all be paid back with interest. And the businesses wouldn’t be saddled with the loans that should have never been made in the first place. Maybe it’s just me, but I like a plan where everybody comes out a winner instead of this BS where a few billionaire scumbags and corrupt politicians are the only ones getting money from the very people they victimized once already!

As for me and my family, were making it through. Might be in a manufactured home, but we can keep the lights on and have internet. Now if we can get McCain/Palin in, his health care credit would aleviate our biggest worry, and get us through until Hillary can get us true universal health care in 2012 :D

I sure hope all those registered Indiana dead people have valid photo IDs when they show up at their respective polling places.

I voted here in the primaries earlier this summer. I had to present my Indian driver’s license, which was inspected and cross checked against registration records. I was also asked to state my street address and DOB.

Comment by athy | 2008-10-03 15:17:12

Indiana Dem,
Wether or not they will be asked for IDs will depend upon the thoroughness of the training poll workers receive, the integrity of the poll workers and, secretary of state rules.
In certain parts of country, voters were NEVER asked for any id-unless perhaps they were newly registered.

In California for example, during the primaries,
all voters had to do was sign in the voter log. Period. No questions asked by the poll workers, no id requested.

In one Voting location, the poll workers realized only at the end of the evening that they forgot to ask NEWLY REGISTERED VOTERS for id. several new voters voted in the California primary this past Feb in that particular voting location-(not sure which exact one but it was located in northern calif)but according to what I heard no one asked the new voters for ids so the clerk let it slide…

Comment by JML | 2008-10-03 19:19:09

When I voted in the Ohio primary, I also did not have to show my ID. Just found my name in the log book and signed. My signature wouldn’t have been hard to forge, either — right next to the box was my exact signature, must have been either from the last time I voted or from my registration card. But it was right there, about two inches away from the spot I needed to sign.

FEC Auditor Blows the Whistle on $200 Million in Fishy Obama Donations

REQUESTS TO INVESTIGATE IGNORED BY FEC, DOJ, and FBI

Excerpt:
An auditor for the Federal Election Commission is attempting to have his bosses seek a formal investigation into the collection by the Obama for President campaign of more than $200 million in potentially illegal political donations, including millions of dollars of illegal, foreign donations, and has sought a request for assistance from the Department of Justice or Federal Bureau of Investigation.

But the analyst’s requests have largely been ignored. “I can’t get anyone to move. I believe we are looking at a hijacking of our political system …no one wants to touch it.”

…One reasons cited by his superiors, says the analyst, is that involvement by the Justice Department or FBI would be indicative of a criminal investigation, something the FEC would prefer not take place a month before the presidential election. Such actions, though, have been used to scuttle Republican campaigns in the past, the most famous being the Weinberger case in the days leading up to the 1992 re-election bid of President George H.W. Bush.

Yeah, because it’s always so much better to investigate AFTER the damage is done, rather than preventing it. We are simply running against a bunch of criminals!!! I can’t believe this is happening in the USA.

NQ readers, PUMAS, etc know which states are close. that means you should only need to concentrate on those states.
it is time to organise action groups to focus on each of those states. their job would be to investigate local reports of possible fraud being perpetrated prior to nov 4 and post on NQ asap so that further collective action can be taken by readers, such as notifying MSM (ha), election officials or whoever.
no time to waste now. fraud will take place, especially in any state where ID is not required.
FOCUS FOCUS FOCUS.

I’m in VA. but I am seriously thinking of traveling to Western PA. and Eastern Ohio to hand out actual Obama news that isn’t being published or reported by the MSM. It really is up to us, the American people who truly follow politics to educate the average American who has no idea what is out there in the way of information about Obama.

OT, but did anyone see the Catholic Church came out against the Democrats yesterday for financial irresponsibility?

OOT, the Wolf kill ad against Palin is pretty graphic and disturbing, so where is a 527 on television about the opposition of Obama to the Born Alive Infant Protection Act? I am not against the wolves, but if we can try to anger voters about perceived cruelty to animals by Palin, why can’t we expose Obama for the blood on his hands of these IL babies who continued to die because of his inaction, and total uncaring disregard to their rights? I don’t think animals are more important than humans. Sorry, it might not be pc of me, and I do love animals, but I am far more offended by the deaths of these babies who survived their abortions.

no epiphany,
I agree.

Also, its too late to volunteer to work as a pollworker HOWEVER- check with your Secretary of State or Registrar of Voters to see if you can be an independent observer. AND…GET IT IN WRITING AND CARRY DOCUMENTATION WITH YOU TO THE POLLS-even if its just a copy of a page from a voter information guide.

I saw a youtube clip yesterday about an Ohio citizen who went in to independently observe the early voting going on and she was asked/forced to leave. It appears someone on the premises of that particular voting location ran back to his office and pulled out a gazillion page memo and pointed to one sheet of paper which said in effect that the State legislators? changed the rules at the last minute and independent observors were not to be allowed to stand nearby and watch what was going on inthe polling locations.

We need to make sure that this does not happen in each of our states.

As far as I thought I knew, this was permissable (independent observers) in every state in our country.

If it is allowed, bring documentation showing this, bring breakfast lunch dinner, thermos of beverage of your choice, water, good book or magazine or newspapers with you, folding chair, and be prepared to ‘observe’ from I think its 7am to 9pm???

Make sure you are not wearing anything or carrying anything that shows your support for one candidate or another. Dont even wear red or blue colors on that day.

Also, bring something to be able to ‘capture’ any thing unusual going on (camera, cell phone, audio recorder, whatever) AND have a few phone numbers handy where you can report unusual occurrences to (precinct captain, registrar of voters, secretary of state)IMMEDIATELY. ALso, keep phone numbers of your local media handy and be prepared to call them in if you think situation warrants.

Again- first check- ASAP!!!- to make sure your state still allows for independent observors. If not-ask if the policy changed recently. If policy recently changed so now state DOES NOT ALLOW- find out why and make a BIG STINK about it to your local media, local elected officials, anyone who will listen to you.

Also, contact

You are right. The student comments suggest they have been told to vote twice, in their school state and their home state. One commenter says Obama knows the law and this is perfectly legal to do, especially because it’s good for the ‘opressed’.

These peole are so naive- they have no idea the freedom they are trampling on to follow Obamessiah.

Just like Axelrod and Obama gamed the system to beat Hillary I am afraid they will be successful against McCain using similar tactics by registering homeless, felons, students, dead people and others who are not qualified to vote.

That’s why any PUMA who wants to defeat Barky has to vote for McCain. We can’t write in Hillary’s name or vote for Nader. Here in CA Obama is so far ahead it won’t really matter who we vote for but my husband and I are voting Republican for the first time in our lives.

Maybe we should all FLOOD ABC, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, CBS, FOX with emails demanding an accounting and actual reporting on ACORN. I read that Obama has paid ACORN and associates $800,000 this year already. When are we going to say enough! There is reported voter fraud here in New Mexico. I have written Bill Richardson, and the congressmen and senators. THe newspapers need to jump on this once and for all.

Comment by Kal | 2008-10-03 16:18:55

Not to mention the apparently fraudulent ‘payments’ for ‘campaign services’ that were funneled from BO’s campaign to ACORN in Louisiana — NQ posted about that back in the summer, and Dak. took some photos of the office locations, recently vacated, if I recall correctly.

Does anyone know exactly how ACORN is funded? All public monies, or public and private?

The very fact that hundreds of thousands of people called and emailed their Representatives last week to complain about earmarks for ACORN being included in the bail-out package is a good indication to me that Obama will not win this Presidential election.

It should not be legal for a politician to give money to community organizers.

Personally, I would support a call-off of the election and a new law that requires registrants to register to vote no later than one year before voting…thus, giving officials enough time to verify voters and make sure they aren’t residing in a cemetery, south of the border, in literary fiction, or are figments of the imagination of ACORN operatives.

Comment by Perry Logan | 2008-10-03 16:25:46

Two sides to every story. Media Matters claims that the accusations that Democrats tried to direct millions of dollars in government money to ACORN are false.

Media figures have recently accused Democrats of attempting to direct millions of dollars in government money to the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) in the financial bailout bill. The accusation is false. Neither the draft proposal nor the version of the bill that was voted down in the House contained any language mentioning ACORN. Those making the false claim were misrepresenting a provision — since removed — that would have directed 20 percent of any profits realized on troubled assets purchased under the plan into the Housing Trust Fund* and the Capital Magnet Fund.

Comment by Entwife | 2008-10-03 19:18:58

No, the money was to be funnelled into one of ACORN’s 150 front organizations. No amount of chicanery will make this “crap sandwich” into anything palatable.

OT but important:

The Atlantic: Palin Didn’t Read Pre-Prepared Answers
by Marc Ambinder
ThinkProgress and other liberal entities analyzed the tape from last night’s vice presidential debate and seem to believe that Gov. Sarah Palin brought a sheaf of talking points to her lectern and simply read them.
That’s not what happened.
Debate rules prohibited candidates from bringing any pre-prepared material with them.
Only blank paper and writing utensils were provided.
So to the extent that Palin seemed to be reading, it was because she had, during the course of the debate or during Joe Biden’s answers, written down some notes. Clearly, she had memorized talking points and wrote them down when she got to the podium. But that’s not what’s being alleged.
Biden did the same thing — you can see him jotting down some notes and then referring to them before speaking.
No conspiracy here.

How are we going to stop the fraud? Some states even do not require a photo ID to register as a voter.

Obama believes that a great number of white racists won’t vote for him only because he is a black. The voting fraud is to negate this effect. This is Obama and ACORN’s justification. They might even believe that they are doing the right thing!!!!

Obama and his people have twisted many things. Many values are now upside down.

I won’t comment on ACORN’s tactics or anything else about them.

I just want to point out that your statement about their origins being in Chicago is 100% WRONG.

ACORN was formed in the late 70’s in Little Rock, AR to fight the construction of a freeway through a predominately black area of town. I know because I was aggravated by the unfinished state of that road every morning and evening for 5 years.

The road eventually got finished and ACORN went national using all the shakedown techniques the Rathke’s learned in Little Rock.

Several thousand retired or disabled Navy Intel guys have volunteered to watch the polling places in key areas in key battleground states to watch for irregularities. I guess the Dems must REALLY be scared of losing if they are once again, involved in voter fraud. I saw on the news today that one of the “volunteer” voter registration people was asked if she tells people to vote for Obama and said, “YES!” SHe realized finally, that she was on camera and what a stupid thing she said that now is being handed out all over the internet.

You know, I don’t worry. Both in ‘00 and ‘04 Bush was losing at this time and still one the election. I think many undecideds will not make a decision until they are in that booth. And, the choice will come down to, someone who is experienced and can handle this world we live in, or someone that can’t even place a vote on the senate floor, let alone be able to pick up the phone at 3:00 a.m. if a terrorist attack happens. And, my fear is, if he wins, there most certainly will be. Those leaders in the countries who hate us want him to be President, because they see him as weak.

What a scary thought….

How can they still be allowed to operate when everything they touch turns into a scandal? ‘06 election, we had a bunch of ACORN voter fraud here in WA state as well. Can’t they get their license pulled or something?

Comment by Maria | 2008-10-03 18:45:01

To: JRM.

Here is my thought on the polls. They are simply skewed. If you look back at “00 and ‘04, Bush was losing or very close with Kerry. and Gore. Bush still one. I can tell you this, because I live in Illinois, that there are ALOT of people voting McCain, but they are afraid of expressing that in public. Illinois is a heavily democratic state, but all the polls I have seen in the past, indicated that the dem had a MUCH wider lead, then when the election was over. So, people may say they are voting Obama, just not to get into a fight. I personally know some of these people. Once they get into the booth, nobody knows anything.

I also think, Obama has a boost because of the economy this past week. I have a heard a number of people on various channels say, (including 2 black people who are Obama supporters) that they feel Obama got his surge way too early and they are afraid he will plummet very close to the election.

I also believe this. I strongly feel McCain will win! I also know quite a few people who have recently switched from Obama to McCain even before yesterday’s debate.

Comment by Touchet | 2008-10-03 23:29:17

I have started doing this with my neighboor after she harrassed me multiple times about being gay and voting for McCain.

She actually called me after the VP debate and try to LIE to me and tell me that she just heard Biden say he was for gay marriage. I was like…girl if you lie to me again don’t ever call me. She shut up real quick.

She called today to talk about it, I told her I was voting for obama. she wanted to come over and share in the love of it all. I told her I was busy.

So now I have to try to avoid her untill november.

I think Obama should resign as a Senator and from his campaign for President. It is very likely that if he is elected it will be a contested victory (I’m not sure McCain has the b**ls to contest it) but there is also every likelihood that an Obama Justice Department will squash any effort to investigate ACORN and its fraudulent voters and its involvement in the financial crisis – ACORN is responsible for trillions of dollars worth of bad mortgages and many of Obama’s people were heavily involved in it too, not to mention Obama. Can we afford this kind of gridlock? Our government would be paralyzed for years just haggling over ACORN.

Lake County, Indiana is home of some of the most crooked politics in the Country and I know from having lived there for 10 years back in the 80’s while my wife worked as a news reporter for a Chicago station with NW Indiana as part of her beat. These pols wrote the book on election fraud and voting the graveyard. Classic was a close Congressional election in which the Mayor of Gary witheld results until the wee hours of the morning until “The Machine” could let him know how many votes were needed so their candidate could win. On election night, my wife gave a live report from Dem HQ’s in Gary in which she talked about the potential voter fraud. Her car disappeared from outside the HQ and police told her to report it as stolen. Following morning, it turned up in the City of Gary’s impound lot on the basis it was illeagally parked. Fact was; it was taken from a parking lot next to City Hall. No explanation given but police chief warned her; You need to be more careful down here. Lastly, lots of luck to anyone who tries to sort this out because the tank includes the entire justice infra-structure up there. Somewhere earlier this year, it was reported they “purged” the rolls and close to 100,000 questionable or inactive voters were removed.
