I ran across this which really blew my mind. Norfolk has changed its voting registration regulations at Obama’s request. Many students plan to vote twice, as they feel they have the right to. check out the student comments below the comments about guns.

I was pointing out that they emphasize a statistic that overstates the Obama youth vote.
The trouble that Obama has with young voters is that it is very possible that young women will vote for Sarah Palin. And it is possible too that young men will vote for Sarah Palin. So his efforts in recruiting voters do not necessarily translates into votes for McCain.
Young people are not all stupid, and college students while a lot of them are quite stupid you have a lot of them that aren’t. Specially women. They know that this is their future they are killing if they vote for Oblahblah.
Oh my gosh they are telling these people that they have a legal right to vote in two states two times because they’re students! This is the great education so many people pay for. Unbelievable.
Also – during the primary there was nothing in place to prevent college students from voting in 2 states.
And we KNOW how lame the system was in Iowa.
This is freaking me out. How blatant does the voter fraud have to be before the media covers it and people are outraged by it?
Hmmmm….I guess the GOP can do what the DNC did and disenfranchise those votes and or the states…no?
What worries me (as a Virginia resident) is that it may be easier for an out-of-state student, paying out-of-state tuition, can register to vote in Virginia, without questions. What if they have already sent in an absentee ballot for their home state. And, don’t tell me they all know better or all have fully developed morals already (particularly if they have not had their Philosophy and Political Science courses).

You know it’s not just the older men, when we were watching the debates my 5 year old grandson looked at me and said “Who’s she? She’s pretty.” I must have looked shocked (Ok I was probably standing there with my mouth agape) because he stopped for a minute then added but you’re prettier grandma. The subprime and the collapse of fan n fre were definitely spontaneous explosions that happened in the vacuum of the money vaults. Dems had nothing to do with it because Dems are the Party of God.
Perry there is plenty of blame to go around for both parties. Both have caved over the years to the radical sides of their party.
That’s why I believe both Hillary and John appealed so much to their parties. They awoke the sleeping majority within their parties that want their party back. The moderates.
I think the majority of American’s are sick of the overspending, the outrageous earmarks that go to the few, as we struggle. The government growing like the blob to take over our everyday life. We don’t need all these government entities. We need less government. To do away with all this wasteful spending. To put control of the government back into the hands our forefather’s entrusted it to the American People.
I’d say 70% of the people we have up in Washington are working for no-one but themselves. Lining their own pockets. Notice no matter how bad it gets in America they always hold their hands out for the above average salary raises/increases. It’s both parties.

If this blog had a different tone or flavor when Hillary was still in the running, (and before), and now it sounds completely different, I can see how that could be a little hard to take for a long time poster.
On another thread a PUMA said they admired how Palin was resilient and strong in the face of all the abuse and malignant attacks against her and her innocent family. I could relate to that admiration for someone on the opposite side, because that’s how I came to admire Hillary towards the end of her run. I was so happy she was soldiering on, winning primaries in a spectacular way to the very end. I really thought she had a chance to pull off the capture of the Dem nomination, and I wanted her to because it would have knocked n0bama out for good.
But it wasn’t to be. I was always for McCain, even when those in my party were dismissive of him, but who knows, if Hillary had been the nominee she may have won me over.
I wander if Senator McCain, is still going to pick Hillary Clinton for the a post to help fix this credit crisis. I had not realized that Acorn was a religion and practiced raising the departed from their slumber. Really happy to live in Minnesota. One democrat representative apologized. I heard it on television. It was either Arthur Davis of Alabama or Lacy Clay from Missouri. I heard him just say “we were wrong.” I would like to know which one it was because I want to thank him for being an honest man. It made me feel just a little better to know that someone gave a shit about being wrong and was man enough to stand up and say it. If there is anyone out there that heard this and knows the name of the representative, let me know. I want to correspond with him.
It was regarding the Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac video of the hearing where the republicans were practically begging to put some restraints on Fannie/Freddie. Maxine Waters, Arthur Davis,Meeks,Lacy Clay, & Barney Franks were defending Fannie/Freddie. I want the name of the man who admitted that they were wrong.
