Last night I was scrolling though the comments about my piece, “What Rev. Martin Luther King Wanted and What Obama Hasn’t Got.”
I noticed that a few posters were feeling completely distraught about the possibility of an Obama presidency and the devastation that might ensue.
In the name of keeping all of us on an even keel, a reader named Ivory Bill Woodpecker wrote the following very entertaining comment that I think I’ll share with you. It gave me a much needed chuckle at the end of a very long week.

The new AOL poll only lets people vote one time - you have to log in - which prior to today I had not seen this requirement. All of the states except 1 (DC)show a huge lead for McCain. It also shows a statistical breakdown for each state. I can’t believe it could be that good for McCain, but I can’t believe that Obama could be so far ahead either in all of the polls we have been relying on.
Ohio Mary — The real story of this election is how Obama is cheating in the early voting states like Ohio. I received an e-mail from the Republican Party that the Dem Secy of State was trying to keep thousands of Republican voters from voting. They went to the Ohio Supreme Court and the Republican registered voters were reinstated. What the media is doing with these phoney polls is to make it easier for Obama to cheat — while depressing turnout for McCain.
There is work to be done. Christi has written a great piece to be used as hand-outs. Please pass it around. It’s time to get aggressive in the swing states.

One important thing to remember about AOL is that it is still the largest dial-up ISP out there, and there are still VAST portions of the country without high-speed Internet availability, in rural areas even just a few miles outside of larger cities. It is used by people who travel for work because they can dial up from anywhere. It is used by lots of people who don’t depend on the net for entertainment like we do. So I give quite a bit of credence to AOL polling. I think it represents Middle America fairly accurately.
I’ve been watching the AOL poll for months now and it has been consistently around 61-65% for McCain vs. 39-35% for Obama.
They just changed the format so now you have to get an aol e-mail to log in with.
Even before that you could only vote once.
I guess there was a way to cheat the system, but only the Obama people would probably do that and Obama was still way behind.
I feel pretty good about this poll for the reasons that people often feel intimidated by phone polls - not knowing if the caller has all their residential information, etc.
This is a very private poll.

This Strata-Sphere article shows some eye catching trends in battle-ground states. State polls are slanted to more DEM’s polled because of supposed higher DEM registration “this year”. I live in Pennsylvania and the Department of State does indeed have figures with a higher percentage of DEM’s registered, and the Obama campaign likes to point out “overwhelming” Democratic registration this year. They like to say it’s due to strong support for their dear leader Obama…Not so fast my friend! The huge Democratic registration in my state (PA) is due to the primary, I changed from Independent to Democrat so I could participate, and I know dozens of people who did the same, and most of them would have voted for Paris Hilton as long as it would keep Obama out of the White House. Don’t think for a minute that the hundreds of thousands of “new” registrations are voting for BO. Pennsylvania will be close, and McCain may even win…I’m doing my part, I live on a major highway and my McCain lawn signs keep mysteriously vanishing night after night, but I have many, many backups.
I registered as a Democrat, but I’m not voting for Obama. I know there are many like me.
As a scientist, I can state with absolute certainty one thing about polls: they do not represent facts. Polls only represent data which may have been manipulated from the outset (who was polled, what was asked, where it was asked) or manipulated after the fact (”outliers” conveniently eliminated).
Since most of these polls are proprietary, no one will never know how they get the results they do but I think many of these polls are circular arguments and self-fulfilling prophecies.
Oblockhead must be a winner because the polls say so. And people lap this unmitigated hogwash up and vote for the bastard so as to be with the rest of the herd. Moo.

What this tells me is that people don’t trust the rest of the networks and that most of those people tuning in wanted to see Palin. After the last two weeks of the media destruction they wanted to see for themselves — and they loved her.
Stay cool — and watch Hannity’s America tomorrow night about Obama and his Pals. I love Sean Hannity and Greta Van Sustren. They are the real deal and Hannity is not ready to throw in the towel.

That’s where I watched the debate. Frankly, I wanted to hear pundits who didn’t trash the person I was rooting for. I knew on Fox she’d get a favorable commentary if she truly earned it.

My stepmother has two college aged kids from her previous marriage. At a sleepover, they were all talking about liking Obama. When my stepmom asked them what they actually knew about Obama, one of the kids said “I know my dad said we’ll be poor if he gets elected.”
These are all liberal suburban college kids whose parents give them credit cards and lots of cash. With the economy being what it is, I think more of them are going to start listening to their parents. At the end of the day, they want to have money for shopping, their cars, and going out to the bars. They are not mature enough to make well-informed political decisions, and the Democrats are idiots for placing all of their eggs in that basket.
Obama is in my opinion much more a danger to America than Bush and I don’t feel comfortable saying he could not turn America into a totalitarian state. I am comfortable saying McCain would never do that.

Yes but will that “good chuck” be enough to offset the increase in registration Obama is supposedly putting off? Also, it just sort of seems to me that that “good chunk” has been decreasing in size as Hillary and Bill keep campaigning (even if not very enthused) for the One.
I am afraid that if there is not a good bump in the polls Tuesday from Gov. Palin’s debate performance and the GOP’s 527s don’t start cutting loose very shortly that we may indeed be in very serious trouble.
I sort of expected this would be DNC’s year but certainly did not expect the people of this country would be willing to swing from the far, far right to the way out left.
I will be voting for McCain/Palin and hope the country comes to its senses in the next few weeks and does the same. After the debacle of May 31, 2008 I have thought of moving to another country but my wife, who grew up in what used to be East Germany just loves the US too much to even consider such a thought. So I will be staying here and praying that should the unbelievable happen and Obama gets in that there is a quick resurgence of the republican party in 2010 to hopefully correct any damage he has done and prevent him from doing anything else.

I ended contact with some former classmates and acquaintances because I couldn’t stand their Clinton Derangement Syndrome during the primaries. Obama gets more money from Wall St. than any other candidate.
Was — 42% of Hillary Democrats will not vote for Obama under any circumstances. Estimates range from 21% - 37% will go for McCain. Suddenly these Democrats are not even in the mix in these polls.

People do stop to look at my sign that reflects my views “My Hillary vote goes to McCain”. I put it out right after the Democratic convention and maybe I am scaring any bot neighors. I doubt there’s be many though. My block has been pretty republican over the 20 years I’ve lived here.
I see Obama signs around town and have yet to see a McCain sign. However, my interpretation of this is that the houses without signs are probably McCain voters. You ordinarily don’t see many bumper stickers on cars around Carmel and rarely do the Pebble Beach Republicans announce it. We have lots of military and intelligence people around and they don’t put up signs or stickers either.
Carmel has a 3 term mayor who is former CIA so yes, there are plenty of Republicans here. In the complex where I live there are probably 3 Obama bumper stickers out of 300 or so residents.

I have been reading “Fleeced” by Dick Morris, this week, and he raises many valid points, with one of the best being that if Obama supertaxes the middle class and wealthy and can manage to give a check to more of the lower middle class and the poor, then the Democrats like him will never be voted out of power. More people will depend on the Government as more businesses close, and the unemployment goes up higher than it has been in decades. I think an Obama presidency will be a collossal disaster on many levels. It probably will energize the GOP, but because of the dirt in this Election cycle, they will want to fight even dirtier, and no telling who we would have as a candidate for them in 12. camille mentioned Newt Gingrich, (not as a candidate for the GOP), who I used to dispise, but having actually listened to the man regularly for the past eight months on FOX, where he is now an analyst, I believe he is an extremely intelligent man. Prior to the Monica scandal, he and Pres. Clinton had tried to work together to get some bill (sorry, I can’t remember which bill, I think it might have been health) to be introduced in a bipartisan manner, anyway, because of the scandal, that political alliance fell apart, but my point is, he is a smart guy, with tons of experience, and somewhat of a history of reaching across party lines to unite for the greater good. There are a few up and comers in the GOP, but once in, Obama may be very difficult to oust.

Yeah, the most puzzling thing this year is the behavior of the media. I assumed earlier in the year that the media were just supporting Obama to kill Hillary’s campaign. I assumed that, as usual, the masters of the media wanted a Republican president and so had ordered their lackeys to trash the strongest Democratic candidate. Now, it’s starting to look like they actually want Plastic Jesus as prez. I can think of two reasons for that, not mutually exclusive:
[1] The Dubya-Cheney Assministration has screwed up so badly that even the elite, or at least a faction of it, is worrying now.
[2] A treacherous Democratic prez could maybe do what no Republican prez could: turn Social Security over to the jackals of Wall Street–and Wall St. does own Obama’s bony ass.
I’m not saying an Obama presidency will be smooth sailing, folks. I’m just not expecting this American version of Nazi Germany or Soviet Russia that some of you seem to fear.

OT I was in a very blue area the other day in noticed mostly McCain signs. Very few Obama signs. It leads me to believe the Bradley effect will bare fruit on election day. Just yesterday, I was thinking that I hoped the Republicans had carefully studied, and were fully prepared to “make the most of”, the rules — as they had in 2000.
In 2000, as a Democrat, I didn’t like it. In 2008, I’m hoping for it, because you know the Democrats will be doing this, themselves… and to pass up that opportunity is to hand the Dems victory. The Democrats know from experience that after-the-fact complaints about questionable processes and decisions don’t change outcomes. That history just seems to be an invitation to them to play in a way that is no-holds-barred, if they want the win. I hope the Republicans want the win just as much.
In a coffee shop in blue-leaning Bellevue today, I heard two guys (one maybe early 30’s and one maybe early 40’s) talking about McCain and Obama. Being my recently-out-of-shell self, I joined the conversation. Both said they were voting for McCain, though they weren’t excited about him, because there are only two choices that realistically count, and “that Obama has too many questionable associations.” One went on to say,”I can’t trust Obama. McCain, he went to war. He went through things no one should have to go through. And he still loves his country. Obama on the other hand, loves Obama.”
From the context of the rest of the conversation, it appeared that neither of these two guys follows the coverage in detail. So, I wanted to share real hope that average Americans are picking up on at least some of the negatives we have seen for months, and coming to some of the same conclusions.
One of the points made is worth repeating:
If McCain gets in, he will do what he thinks is best for the country, and that may or may not help me.
If Obama gets in, he will do what he thinks is best for Obama, and from what I’ve seen of him, I just don’t see how that would help me.

No, recognizing that people conceal the truth about their feelings when other people start “getting in their faces.” And recognizing that the more people get irritated over an in-the-face remark, like “you’re a racist,” the more they conceal their feelings. Here’s the sort of thing to look at to guess unspoken bias. MSNNBC/CNN ratings vs. Fox ratings. We can presume that most of the people who watch either one, are people who favor what that channel has to say. We know there are a few keeping an eye on the opposition, but mostly they are preaching to their own choirs. Now, what has happened to their relative ratings? they have reversed. This tells me the drift is away from Obamba news and interest in his worship is down.

I don’t see why it would sound strange. In any election you will have a winner and a loser. So a good portion of the electorate will be happy & a good portion will be unhappy. For me, its how you play the game. Fair game? Then the majority rules (well, that din’t work out so well for Gore:-()
I can’t wrap myself up like a screw if things don’t go my way. All I can do is put up my McCain/Palin sign & bumper stickers; volunteer at the local RNC office (will be doing that up until election day…for the first time ever); and vote.
And I can contemplate the role of the media in all of this & battle MSM where I can.
I can say that this election has been a real eye opener for me. I’ll never be complacent again. (I’ve always voted, but never got involved other than that). I think change is going to have to come from the bottom up & will spend the next year learning as much as I can about my local government & Congressional representatives & get involved in their next re-election or defeat.
Our media is a mess; our congressional reps are a mess; Wall Street is a mess; our immigration is a mess; our energy issues are a mess & I’ve had it. This pork laden bail out was the last straw for me.

You are spot on about the media. If we cannot have a media that strive to be fair and objective, democracy is in serious trouble. Palin actually made this point very strongly in the most recent interview for FOX, where she stressed that the people just wanted the media to be fair.
That the media have been willing to clearly jettison their objectivity is frightening, because maybe they have reason to believe they will never need it again.

This, I think comes from his background in community organizing, which apparently encourages use of intimidation to reach what they see as overarching goals. Or, perhaps, it’s more innocent and just part of this new generation, which is more forward and assertive than I’m used to, or, frankly, comfortable with.
It’s his talking about a civilian army, or his wife telling us we’ll all have to change if he’s elected. Well, I’m pretty old, and if he thinks I’m going to sign up to become an Obot, I think NOT!
Or there’s his lack of civility. I’ll never forget the night, on the stage, I think it was one of the primary debates, but memories are getting muddled. Hillery told him it was an honor to be on the stage with him. He just stood there and smirked. The silver lining of the $850 billion bill: the money has been spent. BoBo will find it very hard to spend a dime. Who did you vote during the primary?
HtP–I voted for Edwards. My state’s prez primary was on Super Tuesday, and Hillary hadn’t yet adopted the populist direction she would use later. If I had known then what I know now about both Clinton and Edwards, I would have voted for Clinton.
As for a McCain presidency, I don’t know, but I would hope he would rein in the excesses of the Chimperor and Mad Darth Cheney–that he would run the country more like the first Prez Bush than the current one. The first Bush is hardly my favorite president, but I could stand him most of the time, which is more than I can say for his demonic spawn.

So sorry you missed it. I am really in shock and awe. I loved her already but…wow…just…wow. She almost couldn’t speak at times over the people screaming “Sarah, Sarah, Sarah…” and she NEVER missed a beat, never. Even when the Obamascum showed to heckle her. Obama relinquished his Illinois law license in early 2007. Why would
Obama give up something that provided his primary source of income
and something he spent so much time and energy obtaining? Andy Martin
filed a complaint in IL on March 13, 2007 stating that Obama had lied
on his IL bar application. Obama had 17 outstanding traffic violations
that he had failed to take care of. Mr. Martin discovered that Obama
would not be prosecuted because he no longer had his law license. I contacted Andy Martin and this was his response:
“Nothing. Obama had already resigned as a lawyer and so they had no jurisdiction over him.”
“Not if they have lost jurisdiction over the individual. They can’t punish someone who has resigned, which is why so many corrupt lawyers in Illinois resign before they are disbarred.“

I definitely think Sarah is the new Ronny. When she said at the debate “Say it aint so joe” and when she brought up some of Ronny’s quotes towards the end of the debate I actually started crying a little bit. My family voted for Ronny and my cousin lives right next to the Reagan Library in Simi Valley and it’s such a beautiful place. I bet Ronny was smiling when he saw Sarah. To compound this problem, we are hitting “peak oil,” which means our supplies of oil are decreasing while the demands of the world (India and China) are increasing.
This is a perfect storm that could very well turn America into a third world country overnight.
At the same time, we have Obama, a very charismatic candidate, a blank slate who instills such rabid loyalty in his followers that many have compared his rise and ascension to that of Hitler. Many have called him a “Manchurian Candidate,” a puppet propped up and guided by powerful forces who want to control and dominate the United States.
If you think this is far-fetched, that the comparisons between Obama and Hitler are unwarranted, then consider that Obama already has created “Obama Truth Squads,” run not just by volunteers, but by paid government employees, who are vowing to prosecute anyone who runs a negative “false” ad against Obama.
Then there is “Camp Obama,” a training ground for Obama’s “civilian army.”
Obama has stolen the Democratic nomination through voter fraud and cheating. With his association with ACORN, many suspect that he plans to try to steal the general election as well.
Can we afford to this man in the White House? At a time of severe economic crisis, do you want a leader who:
1. Actively perpetrates voter disenfranchisement to promote his candicacies.
2. Stifles free speech through government-paid prosecutors.
3. Is training a civilian army of brainwashed Camp Obama graduates.
4. Exhibits tendencies towards Narcissistic Personality Disorder and egotism.
5. Is backed by powerful interests who have shown no guilt or remorse in taking out entire economies just to make a profit (George Soros).
If you look back in history, you will see that dictators are usually born out of times of economic uncertainty.
I am not saying that Obama will go out and start a holocaust like Hitler (frankly, I think Obama has shown himself to be more interested in his own ego than in doing the work it takes to perform such atrocities). But I am saying that if Obama gets elected, we may very well kiss the America we’ve known good-bye.
So for those of you who may have never voted Republican in your life before, who would shudder at the thought of voting for a pro-life candidate, who can’t stomach putting John McCain into office, I ask you to consider the alternative.
The polls that show a lead for Obama of about 6-8 points are often at ratios of 50 to 44%. This means that 6% of voters are planning to vote third party or are undecided. It is that 6% that will decide the election.
Thus, if you vote for a third-party candidate, or write Hillary in, you are effectively voting Obama into office.
The election will be extremely close and there may well be fraud and shenanigans on election day favoring Obama.
Please, I beg you - especially if you are in a swing state - hold your nose and vote for McCain. While there is no guarantee that McCain can handle our economic mess, we can all agree that McCain is a humble man who has no interest in being American dictator.
We cannot say the same for Obama.
With your vote for McCain, we can and will keep this country safe from Obama. But we need your votes!

Yes — I think people have to bite the bullet and realize if they truly want to stop Obama from getting elected, they really need to vote McCain.
I would rather have Hillary than anyone, but in some states, writing her name in — the vote automatically goes to Obama depending on the state’s particular rules.
It is good to think about the fact that the protest vote is great, but it’s not going to help beat Obama.
I can’t tell anybody how to vote but remember: Every Dem who votes for McCain, the Dems need two votes to make up for your one vote — ’cause they were expecting to have you in their column.

“Chimperor and Darth Cheney.” I like that! The only thing that lowers my panic is that I think McCain will win. As horrible as Bush/Cheney were, I never worried about them giving out US information to other countries - terrorist countries. I have NO trust with Obama based on his past associations and I do believe he and his wife hate America and think it needs to be punished. AT BEST, he would be a Jimmy Carter. But I don’t think Carter has NPD - he’s just a dope. I believe Obama has NPD so the sky’s the limit on what evil he would do - like all NPDs, he would do what he could get away with and even with all of our constitutional safeguards…
I just hope we don’t have to put it to the test.
To be honest, I actually think McCain being behind in the polls, might help him. If you look at the numbers, he isn’t really behind in the swing states, its tied and that isn’t even including the bradley effect.
I want McCain to go after him this month on everything, and I think and hope he will. I also think this behind thing might even help McCain in the polls. If people think Obama might have a chance, they might even come out more and vote for McCain, where as the youth for Obama might stay away, thinking he’s got it in the bag.
After all, when Hillary was behind, people came out for her, because they thought she might lose.

I just watched the show on FOX tonight about the whole financial crisis–a great in-depth show of how it started, how it played out, who tried to stop it, who refused to stop it.
If you have been reading here, you know the answers. It was literally a full-blown show explaining why McCain should be elected and the O should definitely NOT be elected.
The only bad part was the scrolling news at the bottom reporting about the voter registration situation in Ohio. Brunner saying she will suggest ways to address problems (conventiently) after the election.
The show was deceptive rubbish. Even for FOX. Everyone knows that Repugs have always fought against regulations.

3- Joe said that he and Obama want to reduce the interest rate, and the PRINCIPAL, that people are paying for their subprime home loans.
So, the Socialists want to throw stupid people money for buying a house they could not afford.
If someone bought a $500k house Joe and O’barky would give them a few hundred thousand to pay off the principal making it more affordable.

Just because I worked with someone doesn’t mean we shared the same political beliefs. I feel embarrassed for my colleagues in the film business. THEY don’t know who OBAMA IS. I do. Although I will say, more and more Hollywood people are converting. Thank God. Just like any microcosm of humanity, you can’t fool all the people all the time. People voting for Obama are just plain stupid and hate America. This isn’t like a race where the Dem candidate is Gore, Kerry, Clinton, etc. which all of us could deal with. Last week, before the “…sky is falling” financial crisis, the media was already for the Obama loss with all the articles about the only reason Obama could loose is because every single person who does not vote for him is a racist. While the economic crisis turned the polls for Obama (actually would have for any democrat in that position and I am sure Partisian Pelosi kept did her absolute best to keep the crisis in motion) so now we are all worried he will win the election.
It would nice if the polls showed McCain in the lead, but we all suspect foul play with the media and polls can not be trusted. People’s actions on the other hand tell us otherwise, 69.9 million people viewed the VP debates, how many of those people do you think turned in to see Biden? Exactly, no one watches VP debates, hell we are told no one even votes for the 2nd on the ticket, but I bet a majority of those viewers turned in to see Palin. And how many in CA today to see her? Without a concert! Unlike plastic jesus’s rally in PA where he needed Springstein to offer a free concert.
I think we will be seeing a lot of Sarah this month, and after this weekend I suspect the media view of her will be quite different. (I noticed two articles that were quite fair opinion of her on yahoo/ap) It is obvious she will attract that crowds, she just needs to use that exposure to keep on talking about Obama’s associations.
At this point, it is not so much I want Obama to loose. I want Sarah to do such a job that the bleeding heart liberals will get infuriated and leave with their tails between their legs on November 5. When the rest of us can get back to work and over throw the rest of the Democratic hierachy.
As bad as the Financial Rescue is, When people start to realize that Obarky/Biden want to give people who bought homes they could not afford a few hundred thousand, to make those homes “Affordable”, I doubbt they will have the same support.
If you missed it in the VP Debate, Biden said Obama wants to reduce the interest rate, and the PRINCIPAL people owe on subprime home loans.
So the 90% of us that were not stupid enough to live beyond our means can take up the ass again.
Or as MEchelle says, we have to give up some of our pie so someone else can have a bigger slice of pie.

Two things I see in the polls. One, there are still 8 percent undecideds. Two, there is a percentage of Obama support that is soft.
The polls are counting “Leaners”. Those leaning Obama may not stay there.
If the Bradly effect is still valid, with “leaners” Obama could lose at least 6% of the vote.
It is difficult to say “I am voting for McCain”, without being called a Racist. Many people are not telling pollsters the truth.
Folks, this election will be decided by a few percentage points if not a tie.
Do you live in a battleground state? Well, if you don’t want to see Obama in WH, you better get your ass off the chair and do something about it. Volunteer with the McCain campaign and donate a few dollars. I know this seems sickening to some Democrats here. I haven’t been able to bring myself to attend any McCain events. I’m too worried that a camera will be there to expose to all the people I know that I am not voting for Obama. No, McCain is not Hillary and I will never get excited over McCain the way I was willing to walk on coals to see Hillary elected. But how much does this matter to you? If you live in Obama Central like NYC or DC and can’t expose to anyone that you aren’t voting for Obama without the risk of being maimed or killed, do some phone banking from the safety of your house. I’m just sayin’ that McCain just needs to hold onto OH, FL, and VA. I think he should stay in MI too. But those of you in these states need to start doing what you can. I don’t care if the results are 51-50. 1 percentage point is the difference between 4 disastrous years of McCain before real Democrats take control of the party. Or 4 disastrous years of Obama, the destruction of the Democratic Party and ideals, and a Republican takeover in 2012.

also I HAD A DISTURBING VISION BACK WHEN HILLARY WAS RUNNING against Obama, I saw her wailing, not crying, but wailing. Then I saw a large “M” in granite on what looked like the white house or the washington memorial. That night I had a dream Obama was in the hospital, everyone including ME was crying, I saw him being examined something about his nose from drugs I won’t go into the details here. This was before the big war between Obama and Hillary too. And it wasn’t wishfull thinking on my part either, at that time i was a HUCKABEE SUPPORTER hardcore and had no animosity or desires for any of the other candidates.
but i also had a dream of the collasped bridge in Minnesota 6 months before it happened and it is duly noted (when i have dreams i write document them), including it would be MINNESOTA. and i saw myself going off the enbankment into water 50 feet below to my death. Again, folks, reduction of principal was in the bill that was PASSED last week. It’s a done deal from what I can tell; the only wiggle room is the word “may” in the text.
I was livid about it (even added “The Renter” to my NQ name) and wrote any number of emails to various elected officials about it, before it was voted on.

While I doubt that he will destroy the country as president, I do worry about him getting in at a time when the economy is so weak. Jimmy Carter road the economy into the ground while in office. Obama would be starting out with such a weak economy that his policies will devastate it even further.
I was feeling quite depressed about all this today but then I listened to Rush Limbaugh. He really has the right perspective on all this. He is still having fun! He kept saying, “Don’t panic until I tell you to and it is NOT time to panic yet!” He thinks that anytime the Democrats start smiling big and giving themselves congratulatory pats on the back, it does not bode well for them. He also thinks the polls are screwed up. After listening to him, I decided to go down to the RNC office in my local town and volunteer with other like-minded people and start having fun with this! Politics is supposed to be fun!

A lot of voters who vote for Obama because of the economic mess or the wars, will turn on him once they realize he can’t fix the economy and the wars don’t end, and once the antics of people like you remind those swing voters, in rich detail, why they detest people like you–and by “people like you”, I don’t mean black people, I mean snotty punks of all colors.
An Obama victory in 2008 means GOP victories in 2010 and 2012.
If Obama wins, my biggest concern is that the economy just suffers malaise - fewer jobs, more unemployed, higher prices, higher taxes, etc, and the middle class gets stuck earning too little to actually raise a family but earning too much to benefit from any of Obama’s social programs.
Then Obama uses the economic environment to justify nationalizing more industries and raising taxes higher. The propaganda works on the lower classes, but in response, more and more money and jobs go offshore, accelerating the decline. Entrepreneurs will start talking about better opportunities in Asia and the Middle East. (Well, they already are.)
In terms of foreign policy, you’ll see the rise of regional superpowers like Venezuela, Iran, Russia, and China that just have free license to do whatever they want. They don’t attack America but dominate their neighbors with tacit approval of the Obama administration from the attitude “they’re no threat to us”. The result is that America isn’t a superpower any more in any sense, but has a role more like the UK or Australia.
I’ve often said that if he got in he’d been the reincarnation of Jimmy Carter…(his presidency that is).
However, none of those options bode well for a Hillary candidacy.
If he gets in and he is a dismal failure, she being a Dem will be tainted with his ruination.
If he gets in and is a fascist…she won’t get in cause he will do all that he can to stay in power like all other fascists. Which means 8 years AT LEAST of his “rule”.
