What Would Stick?
By Pat Racimora on October 7, 2008 at 2:40 PM in Bamboozling, Barack Obama, Obama Attack Ads, Tony Rezko, William Ayers
It has been almost 6 months since I created my first cartoon, THIS cartoon, for No Quarter. I was campaiging hard for Hillary Clinton at the time, and it seemed clear that there was absolutely no way Obama could survive his razor-thin relevant experience, the fact that we still knew too little about him, and yet what we were beginning to learn about him and his scary friends was mighty disturbing. How could any of this not stick?
Over 40 No Quarter cartoons later, Hillary is out, Obama is in, and I am still asking the same question!
So I emailed my friend, a brilliant political strategist who occasionally blogs under the name of Sam Copeland. Here is his response:
1. Obama created a rule for the mainstream media to follow: If you attack him, you are a racist.
2. Obama created another rule: Attack him, and it is politics as usual.
3. Obama has used an effective persuasion technique called “forewarning.” If you forewarn voters that negative attacks are coming in an election and are ready for them, the impact of even truthful attacks is minimized. In other words, he told people a long time ago that they were going to be “bamboozled.”
4. McCain should have attacked earlier — just after the convention. The economic meltdown caused some people to swing to Obama and make a commitment. Once people make up their mind, even totally factual attacks are less effective.
5. McCain’s attacks have not been strong enough. The Ayers attack appeals to McCain’s base but is too complex for people who are only loosely following the campaign. Further, the Ayers appeal doesn’t attack strategy. Obama’s strategy is to look like he isn’t a politician. Thus, the best attacks would attack this strategy — Rezko and his waffling on votes. McCain would be better served by creating an ad that pieced together all of Obama’s conflicting statements on the war and ended with a tagline: Barack Obama — a politician that will say anything to get your vote.
6. Obama has an image that attracts followers with the infotainment networks — the Rock Star. And the media covers him as if he were a rock star and not a politician. This also protects him in a very interesting way. When he hangs out with bad friends, the impact is minimized. Why? It is sort of like when Brittany Spears is known to have some friends with questionable integrity–no big deal, that’s just what happens in show biz.
7. The GOP has told many lies in the past, and voters are rejecting their attacks as just more of the same. This is ironic. This time the Republicans are absolutely right, but no one believes them!
8. The economic conditions and state of the war are so bad that people want change and thus are prone to ignore any information (including factual material that clearly discredits Obama) that doesn’t give them change–even if they have no idea what that change will be, if any.
So, what do you think?

Facinating! Let’s hear more from Sam Copeland too!
I have been saying for months that Barack Obama is the candidate most like George Bush. Until recently I was calling Bush “the teflon president” because everything seemed to roll off of him. It has finally started catching up with him.
Hah! Obama makes Bush look like flypaper.
You just have to keep it simple for the American people to take it in. McCain should say this:
“Do you want to vote for someone who will straight talk with you, or talk smack ABOUT you, to his equally snobish SF friends?
Do you want to vote for for someone who will work for you, or expects to be worshiped BY you to feed his ever expanding ego?
Do you want to vote for someone who believes Americans can make their own decisions, or who will make you check with the British before turning your thermostat past 68 this winter?
Do you want to vote for someone who’s going to let you keep more of your money, or who can’t snatch it out of your wallet fast enough?
My Friends, with the credit crisis, wars we can’t afford to lose, and out of control spending, there is too much at stake to gamble on the unknown.
Whoever wins the White House this year will make history with your vote. But more than making history you need to make the RIGHT choice.”
McCain could tweak it up a bit, but basically that’s what should be said.
You nailed it ! You should get this to McCain. Heck, give it to Sara, she’s not afraid to ask the tough questions.
Wow, this makes me so happy. All of you vacillating between false hopes and abject depression.
All your smears have failed.
Obama, a more genuine candidate than we have seen since JFK, and a more gifted politician than even Bubba, is mopping the floor with McCain even more than he did with Hillary.
LOL
The office of ACORN in Las Vegas NV
……………was raided by the state officials while no one was there because of allegations of voter fraud today!
The report is on RCP.
RCP? Could you send the link?
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/news/ap/politics/2008/Oct/07/acorn_office_in_vegas_raided_in_voter_fraud_probe.html
I saw a scroll awhile ago on FOX that I didn’t catch the state from, but out of 1800 registrations turned in by ACORN (in one state) only 6 were legitimate. Can that few even be represented by a percentage?
And, how can Ohio guarantee fair elections when homeless are paid by Obama to travel to “register” and “vote” on the same day? Will these ballots be scrutinized for duplicate or made up names?
It is illegal and punishable by law to lie when registering to vote.
INVESTIGATE THE STATE OF OHIO!
Every state where ACORN has a presence should be investigated.
I heard on Fox last night that people were going from county to county using the YMCA address as their home add. Something wrong with this picture?
ALL ACORN registrations to be checked in CUYAHOGA COUNTY …. one person signed up more than 72 times! Thank God we have a judiciary!
Love your cartoons Pat! They Rock! You are very talented.
Thank you Boxer Mum!
We could call this treat Chocolate covered ACORNS.
http://obamaschocolatenuts.com/
Hi ford–
ACORN hadn’t been uncovered yet when I drew the cartoon, but if I do another it I will add your idea. Love it!
Your political wizard is very, very wise. At this point, the only thing (I believe) that would “stick” is an indictment brought by P. Fitzgerald as a result of a singing Tony Rezko who has decided he will sing at the top of his lungs, give up Obama and Blago, and cut an immunity deal quickly to avoid going to jail.
I doubt that Fitzgerald would indict before election day – I’m sure he’s reluctant to do anything that could be perceived as an attempt to influence the election. This raises an interesting question: what happens if a President-elect is indicted before inauguration day?
Obama will have Fitz removed. He’ll never leave that office once installed. He’ll try and pull what Mayor Bloomberg of NY is trying – to increase term limits. By the time Bloomberg is done there won’t be one middle class person left in the city.
I think Fitz is in the tank for Obama. Its very upsetting. In the interest of the country this should happen before election day. Dems have no trouble pushing idiotic Troopergate and that decision comes in this Friday. Rezko will probably hold out on squealing about Obama hoping for a pardon, and he’ll get it. if nothing Obama is audacious.
I have tried to understand why any combination of those negatives in your cartoon didn’t stop Obama’s campaign during the primaries. Your friend’s response sounds about right from what I understand.
(The irony of No. 7 just makes me shake my head…)
MUST WATCH! She driving crowds crazy!
Sarah Palin- The Landing- Jacksonville, Florida
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9myKiS6XX2I
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Palin made light of Obama’s claims of not knowing the background of former terrorist Bill Ayers, suggesting the Democratic candidate may cite limited knowledge of other world issues.
“You know, what’s next? Claiming that he didn’t know two of his biggest supporters were running Fannie Mae, the sub-prime mortgage giant?” Palin asked several thousand supporters at Jacksonville Landing, overlooking the St. John’s River. “And since he got called out on his plans to meet unconditionally with terrorist state leaders like Ahmadinejad, will he now claim he was unaware of his radical backgrounds?
Palin continued the storyline on her second day of multiple rallies in Florida. She took her message to Jacksonville, a more conservative city in the Northeast part of the state, before heading to Pensacola and Greenville, N.C.
Palin will be in North Carolina during the presidential debate, and said the town hall forum will showcase the contrasts between the two candidates.
“We’ll see the difference between a politician who puts his faith in government and a leader who puts his faith in you,” she said. “The difference between inspiring words and inspiring deeds. And you’re gonna see the difference between a politician who observes and analyzes us, and a leader who understands us. In short Florida, it’s gonna be the difference between a guy who makes big promises and a guy who gets things done.”
Palin also reiterated McCain’s message of economic recovery, saying a Republican administration would impose a spending freeze on government.
“It will cover all but the most vital functions,” she said. “We have to do this because we have to get in there and review every federal agency, every part of federal government, and improve those parts that need improving and eliminate those parts that aren’t working for the American people.”
She also said McCain would reduce the national debt.
“We will confront the $10 trillion debt that the federal government has run up and that we’re gonna be handing off to our children unless we do something about it today,” she said. “We will balance the federal budget.”
WOW!!! Seeing and HEARING that video gave me a chill ALL OVER!!!! Send her to Mich, VA, Colo, PA! Hey send her EVERYWHERE! Talk about a fresh face and “star quality”…
I’ll say it again… WOW!!!!
Me too!
LMAO. Ahmadinejad is just another guy who lives in Iran. Barry, I have to ask, ARE YOU F*CKIN’ STUPID?
As to your last question, how would the sonofabitch even know?
Too bad you don’t see this aspect on the evening news. I’d bet she did not even have to give away free food and beer, or a free rock concert!
Beautiful. Just BEAUTIFUL. I think the idea of a spending freeze in order to do a careful review of all federal agencies will play well with undecideds and moderates, as long as they add a few details about which essential services will continue while the freeze is in effect. It’s what most responsible entities do in times of crisis — stop and have a look around at the landscape, before acting.
Here’s a strategy hint, if anyone from the McCain campaign is listening: it will play even better if Sarah is able to negotiate for transparency in this process — let America SEE what these people are up to. Don’t leave them worrying that Republicans are going to go behind the backs of the middle-class and under-class and cut things of importance to them, but leave the upper-class unscathed. Commit to making this review as public as possible. How many more $600 toilet seats might be out there for the finding?
Here’s another strategy hint: The review is useful in order to make sure the leaders know “what’s out there” before making decisions on what to do. Look at our economic crisis, with its myriad of unanswered questions as basic as, “How much are those mortgage backed securities really worth?”. How many more questions of that sort are out there, about government expenditures? I’ll bet there are at least a few.
All good points, especially #7. The extreme wing of the GOP has been calling more or less all Democrats closet Commies for years, so now that a Democratic presidential candidate who might actually be a closet Commie shows up, not enough voters may believe them. The GOP has fallen into the classic predicament of “The Boy Who Cried ‘Wolf!’”.
Spot on. A lot of well meaning Obama supporters are walking around with their hands over their ears singing lalalalalalalalalala — they just don’t want to believe any of this.
It is for two reasons.
1. Because of the boy who cried wolf issue of the Repubs as you mention; and
2. Because they so revile Bush they would take ANY Democrat!! Some people actually don’t care what O stands for or if he’s for real — they are not even looking. They are impervious to all his lies and flip flips.
I wonder if they are also impervious to the idea that they have been had.
Do you think learning that he has completely manipulated and used them will have any effect. Or will it be more lalala? What say you?
I agree, especially with #2. The irony is that the Dems now look, sound and behave more like Republicans than do the Republicans.
I think that we’ll be hearing the music of “lalalala” for a long while to come, and even more loudly as it becomes increasingly difficult for O’s supporters to cope with the internal noise generated by the dissonance between O’s words and the reality of his actions. The sound of the la la’s will eventually be drowned out by the deafening roar of the right-wing backlash that will, in my opinion, be the inevitable result of an Obama presidency.
Ani, I don’t think anything will work. I blogged about this a few night ago after having a conversation with my sister who is an Obama supporter.
I thought I had heavy ammunition with all of my facts about Obama. I gave her everything I knew about Obama starting from birth.
My sisters answer was that republicans smear and they swift boat towards the end of the election.
However, I believe it was what Pat said in this article. Obama forewarned them, and the republicans let him get away with it.
When Obama said “they are going to try and make you afraid of me and by the way he’s black”. The republicans response was “we haven’t brought up race, Obama’s playing the race card”.
That is not what Obama was doing. He was forewarning people telling them not to believe what the republicans say about him. He did the same in the primaries with Hillary.
Instead of saying Obama is playing the race card, they should have said Obama is trying to convince you to not believe anything negative about him before it even comes out.
I’m afraid it is to late now. I told my sister Obama planted a seed in her head and now she is not open to the truth, I told her she’s been had, fooled, hornswoggled! Nothing, absolutely nothing worked. If I can’t convince my own sister with a boat load of facts; How can we or the republicans convince the other voters?
Please send her the link to my article below. She needs to hear it from more outside sources.
I am having the same problem with family and friends – they think politics is being used against Obama, and they will not budge. I even have a few O converts who were Hillary supporters that have become drunk on the Koolaid. THAT is really hard to take.
It is as if a deviant supernatural source has control of this and some of us see its illegitimacy and potential danger as clear as day. The others are beyond hearing arguments of fact. They have been convinced that we have become racist and are getting information from some lunatic source. It is quite alarming.
It is more than alarming: it is a nightmare of surreal terror from which we cannot wake up. Truly, it is the theft of the Democrat branding, which has now been supplanted [implanted?] with those of alien nature and motives, bringing to mind the 1950s film, “The Body Snatchers,” written during the McCarthy Red Scare as metaphor.
How’s your right hook?
tampagirl, sadly, you are so right. I have encountered more instances of this than I ever thought possible and it has sorely reduced my estimation of human intelligence. The idea that, no matter who they are, ANYone would be better than Bush is ridiculous; I, too, once felt that way, but upon seeing Obama in action, have actually begun to believe the unbelievable: Yes, there IS somebody worse than Bush and his name is Obama. I mean Soetoro…whatever.
How to fix this lamentable situation? There are no easy answers except for those of us who are onto him to continue to fight, by spreading the word, both written and spoken, at every opportunity. After all, an educated electorate is a dangerous thing for fascist, totalitarian wannabes, and at some point, even the deluded, coopted, colluding media will have to succumb to the truth if we speak it loudly and often enough.
Just wrote about this today:
http://hillaryorbust.com/2008/10/obama-and-the-boy-who-cried-wolf/
Happened across this email exchange after noticing that mechelle O and susan klonsky and john ayers were on a Catalyst Chicago school reform organization 10th anniversary prom in 2000. Whitey beware.
This is another of barky’s good buddies. no wonder the archives are being scrubbed
What is this? Sorry, I don’t follow the cast of characters well enough to grasp the point. Can you explicate please?
Pretty good backstory…
Google David Horowitz and Mike Klonsky.
Klonsky’s been busy helping Obama and doing it in the open. Now his past is coming up and he is a DIRECT and present link from Ayers to Obama.
Ayers and Obama’s efforts to get separation through no phone or e-mail contact is now just a tissue thin fabric of denials. Klonsky is BFF’s with both of them.
I think Michelle Obama was right when she told a bunch of people in California “People are really going to be surprised at the kind of party we are bringing to the White House”.
It’s time for McCain to follow Palin and call Obama a liar who is not fit to be CIC on live television for viewers to see. Time to point out that we would like to see a copy of his birth certificate, health records, school records, and that being friends with a man who bombed the Pentagon disqualifies Obama from CIC. Talk about all the dirty and corrupt Democrats getting rich off Frannie and Freddie, with Obama the number 2 recipient of big bucks and contributions. Talk about Obama hanging out with Odinga and trying to influence a Kenyan election against the United States interests. Our brave young men and women in the armed forces deserve better. It’s time to stop cowering in fear of being called a racist. It’s time to call out Obama for what he does and who he hangs with. Maybe that will wake up some of these kool-aid induced hopium smokers.
ACORN
More fraud trying to get Obama elected Here in Vegas
They will stoop too any level, any fraud to get this FRAUD of a man elected
All seriousness aside…
thank you for REZKO BARS…lmao
#1 also–being half African has actually helped his campaign more than it has hurt it.
I think people are really tired of slimy politics. REALLY TIRED! I think it is a major turn-off, and people want to discuss the issues.
After the Bush years, people are ready to move on from Rove politics.
I am really tired of O talking points.
These ARE THE ISSUES!
Character. Judgement. Integrity.
The issue is: Who is Barack Obama?
I suspect the answer to “Who is Barack Obama?” has always been “Barack Obama is what you need him to be.” He defined himself as “Change” and remains, even now, just four weeks before the national election, a candidate without a real identity. He is what the voters project upon him. He is the ultimate illusion. In his plan for us, it is critical that we do not know who he is.
Absolutely and totally true: it is the Preferred Method of those who wish to gain power, and, Obama himself iterated that “I…serve as a blank screen on which people of vastly different political stripes project their own views.”
Never were truer words spoken, and perhaps, of all those he has said, these are the only true ones.
It’s not slimy politics if it’s the truth.
savage…
Then you MUST be tired of oblahblah!!!
I’m tired of people making light of what America stands for, our constitution, and our belief in true democracy in order to have a black president. No one can deny that the last 8 years have been shit. The question isn’t who’s going to make it better but more who won’t make it worse. Our economy is in the toilet, we have 2 wars, Russia is playing footsie with Iran and Venezula and you want me to vote for a guy who has only community organizing under his belt and some really crooked friends? What’s it like living in Barrack America where a potential president dealings with people who hate America is no big deal?
I think when people say things like, “I’m so tired of hearing slimy politics” and want to hear more about the issues when subjects like this come up, they are distracting from the real issue. Obama has a paper thin resume and when it all boils down to all Obama has… his character… what we see is that he is not only paper thin via resume, but he is dangerous and possesses so many dubious friends with ridiculous pasts that he would never pass any litmus test for credibility.
Funny. Dems created the money crisis but as usual they blame and point fingers. Their motive for creating the crisis beside greed? Take down the government and global economy to create Soros’s New World Order and global socialist-communism. You work for no pay but get free health care, a housing stipend and food stamps. MEchelle have been hinting to the college kids and others that they will have to work for free if they are given a education credit of $4,000. It’s too complicated to explain here. Just want to say it’s worse than we are led to believe. Don’t get taken by surprise.
McCain/Palin 2008
Wrong.
Two parties have been in power for the past 8 years. Dems in a majority for only the past 2.5…
GET OUT OF THE “dems are bad/reps are bad” or we’re all done.
Outstanding, Pat! Great piece!
Here’s the thing – when McCain attacks Obama, everyone says he shouldn’t go negative. When he doesn’t attack, he is upbraided for not attacking. Holy cow. So if McCain HAD gone after Obama right after the Convention, the Obamabots (read: MSM) would have screamed that McCain promised a positive campaign and here he is going negative!! Sigh.
But I agree with your guru – Obama has set the narrative, and he has been ALLOWED to do so. Shades of Dubya, only I don’t get how Obama has this much power over everyone so quickly from one little speech…
I think the Democratic Party had been grooming Obama for quite awhile for this run–it was anything but Clinton for them. They knew she was going to run and they were out to stop her, but why Obama in particular, I have no idea.
Unless the other democrats thought Obama was the only person who could take all the black votes from Hillary.
exactly.
No, I think this was a sidewinding internal takeover that the AA’s didn’t fully understand until it was too late.
This was the plot from trhe beginning — divide and conquer. Her candidacy was “historic” — but what would be viewed as more “historic” — what’s the best way to divide the electorate?
Edwards ran against her too — he couldn’t get any tractic — he had a completley populist message (and at the time, we didn’t yet know of his particular baggage).
As Edwards himself put it — he got his butt kicked. There was no one else on that stage who was capturing the crowds but her. With Obama they could push the rock star thing and they did.
Ironic that the press functioning as his own personal PR firm, the DNC stabbing her in the back daily, the media’s daily Hillary bashing and him outspending her by massive amounts and his caucus fraud — the best he could do was a tie.
I am still not convinced this guy can close the deal
I disagree with the above assesment. The only thing that Obama has is his image. If it gets tranished there is no way enough people will vote for him to get him elected. You will see a major shift in the polls over the next week. McCain will get ahead by the time election comes around.
I wish someone would put some time into the fact that Ayers wrote his first book. I would like to have his people explain that.

Here’s some truth for tonight’s debate (I’m pasting it in to every noquarter thread, so apologies for the repetition but I want to be sure everyone sees it.
Tonight in the debate Obama will accuse McCain of responsibility for the financial meltdown because he is a Republican with an anti-regulation philosophy. The following refutes that: A direct quote from http://www.votesmart.org showing that in 2005, McCain spoke of massive fraud inside Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac, and introduced legislation to REGULATE these institutions. He totally NAILED it and predicted where we are today. Talk about judgement!

“Title: Federal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Reform Act of 2005
Date: 05/25/2006
Location: Washington, DC
Speech
FEDERAL HOUSING ENTERPRISE REGULATORY REFORM ACT OF 2005
Mr. McCAIN. Mr. President, this week Fannie Mae’s regulator reported that the company’s quarterly reports of profit growth over the past few years were “illusions deliberately and systematically created” by the company’s senior management, which resulted in a $10.6 billion accounting scandal.
The Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight’s report goes on to say that Fannie Mae employees deliberately and intentionally manipulated financial reports to hit earnings targets in order to trigger bonuses for senior executives. In the case of Franklin Raines, Fannie Mae’s former chief executive officer, OFHEO’s report shows that over half of Mr. Raines’ compensation for the 6 years through 2003 was directly tied to meeting earnings targets. The report of financial misconduct at Fannie Mae echoes the deeply troubling $5 billion profit restatement at Freddie Mac.
The OFHEO report also states that Fannie Mae used its political power to lobby Congress in an effort to interfere with the regulator’s examination of the company’s accounting problems. This report comes some weeks after Freddie Mac paid a record $3.8 million fine in a settlement with the Federal Election Commission and restated lobbying disclosure reports from 2004 to 2005. These are entities that have demonstrated over and over again that they are deeply in need of reform.
For years I have been concerned about the regulatory structure that governs Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac–known as Government-sponsored entities or GSEs–and the sheer magnitude of these companies and the role they play in the housing market. OFHEO’s report this week does nothing to ease these concerns. In fact, the report does quite the contrary. OFHEO’s report solidifies my view that the GSEs need to be reformed without delay.
I join as a cosponsor of the Federal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Reform Act of 2005, S. 190, to underscore my support for quick passage of GSE regulatory reform legislation. If Congress does not act, American taxpayers will continue to be exposed to the enormous risk that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac pose to the housing market, the overall financial system, and the economy as a whole.
I urge my colleagues to support swift action on this GSE reform legislation.”
If Obama tries this, he better be ready for the hammer of Fannie Mae to come down on his head and squish him like the roach that he is.
I agree.
Obama doesn’t want to go there.
Most Americans are absolutely angry about this Wall Street bailout. Obama received the most campaign dollars out of ALL of the candidates running for POTUS this year from those very Wall Street corporations (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, etc.) that are being bailed out. Obama (and other Democrats) are deeply entangled in these mortgage and credit crises. Not to mention the historical tax-and-spend reputation that the Democrat party has its neck.
Americans are about to see their taxes go up as a result of this bailout. Obama would represent even more taxes in the next four years on top of this bailout. So if he knows what’s good for him, he’ll shut up about McCain.
Thanks, I have saved this to my email and will send it to two of my undecided associates before the debate tonight.
just posting this connection before it disappears:

WoW! this article seems to shed more light on where obama could have been in those Columbia years.
oh, and remember what barky’s claim to fame in Illinois is? the motor voter law that ushered him into power by ELIMINATING his opponents.
READ and save http://web.archive.org/web/20011123030439/www.fordfound.org/publications/ff_report/view_ff_report_detail.cfm?report_index=247
Did I miss something when I skimmed through the article? We registered to vote when me moved to a new city and had to get new driver’s licenses. I think its a very legitimate way to register.
I’ve said this time and time again:
Barack Obama as the official DNC nominee is the best thing that could happen for Karl Rove.
He has so many scandals to pick from it’s ridiculous.
I’m not even a professional campaign strategist, but I bet you I could sink Obama’s campaign in one week if I was given the money to put together ads. With a Professional like Rove, he really is now like a kid in a candy store.
My Obama supporter friend: “Who is Karl Rove?”
Me: ** sigh **
I think this time Karl Rove is working for Obama. Have you read this article about Dona Brazile and Karl Rove and I think he represent big money rather than Republicans. And Obama is their puppet this time around.
Great Rove likeness! I am also looking inside that window and thinking the same thoughts as he.
Aside from that, I too wish that McCain had started sooner. The vision of an “Obamamerica” is just shattering.
I may be the lone voice on this, but I definitely DON’T think that McCain should have attacked sooner.
Why?
The MSM would have had time to smooth over any attacks from McCain. Just look what happened during the primary. The Jeremiah Wright story broke in April. From that time on, Obama’s votes dropped off considerably because the controversy was fresh in the minds of American voters. Wright broke Obama’s momentum near the end – which is why Hillary won the popular vote during the primary. That’s why the DNC resorted to cheating to get Obama the nomination.
Try mentioning the Wright controversy now. Seems old, doesn’t it? Why? By bringing up Wright early, Obama had enough time to distance himself from him & the MSM to spin the controversy in Obama’s favor. The Wright controversy is now stale in the minds of Americans.
Unfortunately, the waiting technique didn’t work for Hillary Clinton because by the time Rev. Wright surfaced, most Democrats had already voted. They couldn’t go back and change their votes! Many who once supported Obama had “buyers’ remorse,” but it was too late for them to change their votes. Now they will – on Election Day.
Fortunately, however, the waiting technique will work for McCain. Why? Election Day is just that – one day. Virtually no one has voted in the general election yet. Some have, of course. But not the masses. By the full truth about Obama coming out now throughout October layer by layer, Obama’s not going to have enough time to cover up all of his skeletons. The MSM’s not going to have enough time to spin in Obama’s favor. And all of Obama’s dangerous connections & behavior will be fresh in the minds of voters as they head to the polls on November 4th.
And it’s not like the MSM’s going to be able to ignore Obama’s dangerous connections. A major Presidential candidate is bringing up Obama’s connections. Now most American voters – especially undecided voters – are getting curious about Obama since the hype has worn off. And what one network or newspaper isn’t willing to report about what they truly know about Obama, another network or newspaper will. That’s why the Fox network is cleaning up in the ratings now.
It would have been a grave mistake for McCain to reveal the full truth about Obama too early.
I agree. I told my husband that, while this has been really discouraging, I keep remembering how McCain kept Palin a complete, and total, secret. And announced it the day after the coronation, oops, Democratic Convention, which blew Barky’s lead (and his cool, too).
He’s 72, and our youth oriented society doesn’t get something that he has…patience. We like the instant gratification, feel-good-now stuff, but I’m wondering if Sen. McCain isn’t able to wait. His timing has been spot on up until now.
It’s been interesting the timing on Ayers. Starting on Sunday, then Monday, and now today. And what’s happening today? McCain has a town hall forum with Barky. I’m wondering what’s going to happen tonight. Hope he blows him right out of the water, and keeps Blahblah on the defensive, with the uhuhuh stammering responses.
One thing I’ve noticed about the Obloviator is that when he gets rattled, he needs time to get over it. McCain’s not giving him the time. And Oblahblah gets rattled EASILY!
We haven’t voted yet, so it’s not over, yet.
Until then…
McCain/Palin ‘08
Thank you.
Patience and timing are everything.
McCain has the patience, experience and wisdom needed to run an extremely powerful country like the United States. Obama lacks all three of these most important qualities. And because of that, he would finish running this country into the ground.
I think an investigation should be done,in the stock markets…If people don’t have money,WHO”S DOING ALL THE SELLING? IS there illegal money pushing the markets down purposely to try and bankcrupt the USA?
Is there Radical people behind the down trend in the markets?
Who would benefit the most if USA went belly up?
Time for an investigation imo
Ca. one hour old: CNN finds extensive ties between Barack Obama and “Terrorist” Bill Ayers
http://www.breitbart.tv/?p=190343
Looks like Hannity’s Sunday piece got some attention. CNN now playing “me too!”??
Great video-
Barack Obama’s “political coming out party” in Bill Ayer’s living room – and more lies from Obama surrogates.
Unbelievable that the CNN piece was more comprehensive in summarizing the connection than Sean Hannity’s. I hope people who would never watch Hannity, but swear by CNN were paying attention.
I disagree here:
“The Ayers attack appeals to McCain’s base but is too complex for people who are only loosely following the campaign.”
The story is simple: Ayers is an unrepentant domestic terrorist – Obama kicked off his state senate campaign in Ayer’s living room. The two share a deeper relationship that conflicts with Obama’s “just a guy in my neighborhood” statement.
Therefore, Obama is a liar who associates with terrorists.
I agree the McCain campaign should string together Obama’s many conflicting statements on the war, etc. Obama is a liar who will SAY OR DO ANYTHING to attain power according to the audience in front of him – he simply uses nuance to attempt to cover his many fabrications.
Ayers too complex? How about this – What do Osama and Obama have in common? They both have friends that wanted to bomb the Pentagon. Simple enough?
Even better.
The Ayers attacks are working. The LATimes editorial, in chastising McCain for going negative, said Obama basically lied and showed poor judgement and unimaginative morality in hanging out with Ayers. But the candidates should talk about the economy, the LATimes said.
CNN, Time, NYT they’re all reporting on Ayers now. It’s working.
Most important point–Barky lied.
He’s lied about a lot of things. Lots and lots and lots.
It’s still 4 weeks until election day.
McCain/Palin ‘08
Even if all of these accusations were true and reasons not to vote for Obama, they pale in comparison to the risk that McCain would die in office and Palin would become president – nothing could be scarier!!!!
McCain’s mother is 95 years old, and I think McCain will live a long time.
Obama is a chain smoker, ex-crack addict who was in the hospital in the primaries due to a hip problem, and looking at his face right now, he looks very sick.
I bet you Obama has more health problems than McCain has.
NO kidding. And both his parents died in their 40’s and all we get is a doctors note about his health. Bunch of crap. Where’s some medical records? Tony Rezko holding those for him?
Even if all of these accusations were true and reasons not to vote for Obama, they pale in comparison to the risk that McCain would die in office and Palin would become president – nothing could be scarier!!!!
———————-
Even if all of these accusations were true and reasons not to vote for Obama, they pale in comparison to the risk that uhbama would actually win, take office and he would become president – nothing could be scarier!!!!
“Nothing could be scarier”? An Obama presidency scares me a hell of a lot more than the idea of a Palin presidency. Palin may be uninformed on a lot of issues, but she strikes me as tough and you know where she stands. Obama is a spineless jellyfish.
What Palin lacks in experience she makes up for in intention and aptitude. Exactly what Obama’s intentions are scares me more than the idea that a dynamic and successful woman might have to take the reins somewhere during McCain’s four years. Palin has this country’s best interests at heart. Who knows what’s in Obama’s heart, but we know he doesn’t particularly like the fly-over people gumming up his country.
yes, Pays Attention…..something is scarier, OBAMA.
Palin would be fine. she doesn’t have a Hitler I am the One complex which is Barry’s problem. Makes all the difference.
Hi Pays Attention,
A careful actuarial was done on McCain and his history, and he has 11-13 more years to live accoring to that analysis. Remember, the longer you live, the longer you have yet to live. You get credit for making it as far as you have.
Despite the “careful acturalial”, the prospect of Palin as president is so frightening that even if McCain was 40 years old and had a perfect health history, it would still be too risky – and the fact is, he is not 40 years old and does not have a perfect health history –
As a side note, before Palin, McCain as president was not my first choice but if he won, I would have been ok with it – but the fact that he so recklessly gambled the future of this country by selecting Palin changed everything.
All this speculation about McCain dying and Palin being only a heartbeat from the presidency is age discrimination. It’s not OK according to the Obama camp to be racist, but being an ageist, that’s fine.
They are the facts – not accusations. And well-documented. Most of the MSM has just largely refused to report the whole truth about Obama because he’s their “pick.”
To whom? A sexist?
Palin currently runs a state government. Before that, she ran a city government for years.
As for Joe Biden, he wouldn’t become POTUS unless Obama dies.
So unless that happens, who would lead on the Democrat ticket if they won the White House on November 4th?
An inexperienced, arrogant & crooked Chicago politician with many dangerous connections.
Thank you, paysattention is another obot misogynist troll.
I’m a hell of a lot less scared of Palin than Obama. Obama is just as antichoice as Palin, plus he has complete contempt for all women on top of that. You must not have been “paying attention” when Obama said he’d appoint justices like Roberts, Alito, and Thomas to the supreme court? You know justices who are grossly misogynist, don’t believe in the right to privacy, civil rights laws, and basically any liberal or progressive values. Obama dismissed those values as “mere ideology”
Palin, other than being antichoice is emphatically feminist. And she is on the record saying she will not go against laws on the books even if she personally disagrees with them. She also passed a domestic partners law in Alaska. She has gay friends, something Obama doesn’t have- in fact he’s really good friends with two virluently homophobic preachers. I wouldn’t be surprised if Wright and Pfleger are rabid homophobes as well…
I’m not voting for either McCain or Obama. I think the Republican way is wrong, whether it comes from someone who honestly calls himself a Republican, or a closet Republican like Obama.
I’m voting Green Party because they represent true liberal values- including feminism. I’m happy to vote for Cynthia McKinney. Her voting record is excellent on progressive ideals, and the Dem party leadership did a trial run trashing her, practicing for their smear campaign on Hillary. So I have lots of reasons for my Green party vote.
But, no, I’m not scared of Palin at all. Oh and “paysattention” here’s another bit of education for you- Cynthia McKinney is an African American woman, her running mate Rosa Clemente, is a Hispanic American woman. And, me, I have some Native American ancestry, enough that as a child other children thought I was Ameriasian and I was called a racial slur by them. So don’t even try to pull out that racist label. I bet I know a lot more about racism than you do. I voted for Jesse Jackson Sr in 1988’s primary and am still confident I voted for the right person who supported my values. I was so glad, even though it was breifly painful for him when the Obots attacked him, that Jesse Sr. real repulsion for Obama came out, Jesse Sr. also was very disgusted by Obama smearing the Clintons as racists, he disgustedly labeled it as “gotcha politics”. He also empathically stated that Bill and Hillary aren’t racists. He even came to Geraldine Ferrarro’s defense and said she wasn’t a racist either. I was so angered by the way the Obama campaign acted toward many AA leaders, dismissing their achievements, threatening and harassing them. Jesse Sr had a family that was very split on who they backed during the primary and he tried to be friendly to both sides. He passively endorsed Obama, his oldest son Jesse Jr. was an absolute misogynist creep backer of Obama (go look at the horrendous things he said during the primary), but his youngest son Yusef and his wife Jacqueline Lavinia Brown were enthusiastic backers of Hillary. Jacqueline Brown even made a radio ad in South Carolina speaking about her support for Hillary.
Get a life! That is not going to happen and besides Sarah would make a great President if this scenario took place. Much better than OLD Biden
Wow. You think that Obama is qualified in any respect to make decisions? He thought Russia and Georgia should both step back and observe their individual culpability until his advisers told him that that may have not sounded very intelligent. The scary thought would truly be Obama making an major decision without a teleprompter… “present” would not be an option at 3:00 a.m.
And lest we not forget the Palestinian terrorists that Obama hangs out with and gives speeches in support of in Chicago – where any terrorist can go to find a respectable teaching job when needed. Remember the bombing of our Marine Corps barracks in Lebanon? Over 300 marines were killed in that terrorist attack. John McCain warned against putting our Marines in harms way, Obama hangs out with the founding members and other masterminds of the bombing plots. But Obama will say “How was I supposed to know he used to be a terrorist?”
In an exclusive Nashville interview with The Page, Obama strategist Robert Gibbs addresses the key remaining question about his candidate’s relationship with William Ayers
http://thepage.time.com/video-halperin-chats-with-gibbs-in-nashville/
Can someone put this on youtube?
BTW Axelrod tells reporters on the plane to Memphis his candidate wasn’t familiar with Ayers’ violent past when he attended a 1995 campaign reception at his home.
Those guys have no shame…
Like that will make a difference with voters. No the question will be when did he know that Ayers was a terrorist.
i find it hard to believe that with a harvard education, majoring in political science, that he didnt know. i just have a high school education, 3 yrs older than obama, and remember seeing this shit on tv whhhen i was a kid.
Heck, I’m 6 years younger than Obama and I know all about the freaking Weathermen.
That claim is just ludicrous – Obama had an Ivy League education and Ayers is still a Columbia legend. Give me a break. If Obama truly does not recall Ayers’ past, he should turn his diploma ASAP.
Right. The fact that they worked together to push a radical agenda through the Chicago School system is a huge indicator of their matching ideology.
Obama knows exactly who his friends are..the public desreves to know as well.
Barky campaign on Corsi detention in Kenya: “no comment”.
How are they going to spin Raila Obama Odingo’s arrest of someone they don’t like?
“we didnt know he wrote a book..”
“we didnt know uncle raila was gonna arrest him…”
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yxlZ8xhkEZ8
Obama spokesman: Yes, he continued to work with Ayers after he found out about his past
I want the body language specialist to analyze this.
cnn Breaking News
Dow ends about 500 points points lower, hitting a fresh 5-year low — along with Nasdaq and S&P.
Yea the market is crazy these days. We were told that if we did not pass the bill then the market would crash. So it crashed anyway. So why did we pass the bill?
Why didn’t we get rid of Mark to Market???? That would have freed up cash and cost zippo, nadda, nothing.
Why did Jim Crammer go on national tv yesterday and tell people to get out of the market this week? he scared the hell out of people. I thought that was illegal to do. Since he airs on NBC it seemed possible it was aimed at getting the market to tank – all of which helps Barry.
Sickening.
He may have said that if you need to live on the money for the next 5 years to pull out that amount.
Maybe that is indicative of a 4 year presidental term of Obama since they all think he will win the election.
My friends who are heavy in the market have cashed out 100% in the last 2 weeks.
Reason why: they feel the race is lost, Obama will win (by voter fraud) and do not want to pay all the capital gains taxes, etc.. that will come with an Obama administration.
Read between the lines with what Cramer said “Five Years”
Cramer also said of all the candidates (Obama, Clinton, McCain) that Hillary had the best economic plan.
People watching Colbert just got his take and Jim “Mad Money” Cramer’s take on who caused the financial crisis:
http://www.colbertnation.com/the-colbert-report-videos/187307/october-06-2008/jim-cramer
Hint: it was not Bush admin. deregulation
can we get our money back?
The largest reason Obama is getting away with everything is due to the overwhelming support including lying done by the MSM. Most of the Dems I know get their info from MSN or CNN – with the exception of Fox news (forget bill OReilly he has a man crush on Obama now what the hell happened there?) every single station is pro Obama. Things that shoud be discussed about Barry are simply buried. The overwhelming reason Barry has gotten this far is media control. It feels as thought this democratic country is nearly lost.
Good work Pat!
My take on this is that many voters are not immersed in politics.
They are too busy or too lazy to inform themselves, and rely solely on a few reports while they are half asleep in the recliners.
Occasionally, they give up a “fire all those bums”, and retreat.
As long as someone in the party directs their vote, they are content!
LOVE IT!
McCain is going to bring to light some very negative points about Obama. Voters need to be reminded of Barack’s comments about small town voters in the Midwest, etc.
Look it: We’ve all dated someone we thought was perfect for the first 3 months of dating. Then, over time you realize that person is not perfect. You have to decide if you can live with the bad stuff. That’s how I look at this election.
The Obama campaign can cry foul or say they’ve won already, but the reality is – voters are still deciding and WANT to know the good, the bad and the ugly.
I will agree with you friend– the undecideds have been shrinking in number. However, something explosive can even get them to move.
Does anyone here have any legal knowledge to interpret a new filing in the Berg vs Obama and DNC today??
Can try but much of this is not about knowledge but rather opinion since this is uncharted legal waters.
Looks like this Psychologist filed another suit somewhere else and wants to join her suit with Berg’s. The Psychologist wants the Court to order all the appropriate US agencies to use their power to get barky’s Indonesian birth info. That is what the Writ of Mandamus is, requesting a Court to make appropriate agencies utilize their power to uphold the law, in this case, prevent an unauthorized illegal alien from running for or holding the presidency.
Just a thought…if Barky is elected someone will have to teach him how to salute properly since he has never served in the militray.
Wait…he’ll make up his own salute…kind of like a straight arm salute…
From CNN of all places? Can this be true?
Particularly the second point about the campaign even held by Ayers and Dorn. I’ve always said, “Where are the people who were there; they must know something.” Gee, somebody finally asked them.
Keep digging.
The Million Shovels Movement rocks.
Also emerging, the tens of thousands of dollars “earmarked” by Obama while in the IL legislature, to his wife’s cousin.
Can the shovels move any faster? We’re in a bit of a hurry here.
I think this thing is over.
Actually, scratch that.
I KNOW this thing is over.
Why don’t you cry about it.
I agree with Dick Morris. McCain should hammer Obama relentlessly on the taxes issue. Let the 527 groups hit him with Ayers, Rezko, Wright, the Whitey Tape (if it exists) et al. McCain should explain to voters over & over again just how much Obama wants to increase business taxes and government spending, both of which would be disasterous for an economy heading into a recession.
“I agree with Dick Morris.”
Didn’t really have to say anything else to show that you are no supporter of Hillary Clinton.

“I’m voting for uhbama.”
Didn’t really have to say anything else to show that you are no supporter of Hillary Clinton.
Afterall, if she really wanted uhbama to win, she would have pushed to be VP, no?
She didn’t, and he won’t.

Remember when kerry was up 5-7 points this time in 2004, and everyone predicted Kerry’s win?
——
HillaryDem voted for McCain/Palin Sept 30th here in Ohio
And I LIKED it.
Keep telling yourself that.
Make you feel better?
Hillary will be celebrating with us in 28 days.
I feel better you didn’t either have the intelligence, or rationale to respond to my post.
Obviously you didn’t read it..for fear you’d experience cognitive dissonance which would rock your small-minded racebaiter supporting world.
Hillary and Bill will be laughing along with us PUMAs when we send that nasty reptile back to Chicago in 28 days, ObamaMomma. Count on THAT.
Hil, Bil and Chelsea are voting McCain.
Shhhhhhh. Don’t tell anybody!
FYI…the only way uhbama will win, uhbamabushbot (because you’re JUST like a bushbot)…is from this:
http://elections.foxnews.com/2008/10/07/acorn-vegas-office-raided-voter-fraud-investigation/
Disgusting, dirty chicago politician racebaiter.
Again, why isn’t Hillary the VP when it would have insured uhbama’s win?
ObamaMomma,
1) I wasn’t aware that I had to be a supporter of Hillary Clinton to post here. I have been very up front about the fact that I am a registered Republican that supports John McCain
2) As with Karl Rove, even if you don’t personally like Dick Morris for turning against the Clintons, you can still recognize that the guy knows a thing or two about American politics.
Love the cartoon, Pat!
All I can say is that if this country is unfortunate enough to have Bozo become prez, it won’t be because we didn’t try to warn them.
I always think of all the Germans that supported Hitler, who also came to power after a previously weak leader, an economic depression, and severe immigration/job issues. Promising hope and change is the opiate of the masses.
In his speech yesterday, he talked for 75% of the time on the economy. The Ayers lines are getting more media coverage, but he is doing it on the campaign trail.
Duras
I totally agree with you. McCain should hammer tax tax tax on Obama. He has to leave this non big issue to the third party ( 527). This Ayers and Resko are not effective for him. My mom is very sad for this. He should not do this at this time. People want to hear on issues. People say b/s he is trail in the poll and doesn’t want to discusse.

link not right; try again?
link not right; try it again?
sorry for the double posting, I thought it got lost
Can’t follow the link but a writ of mandamus is basically an order that one party has a right to something and another party has a duty to deliver it.
Mandamus: “We command.”
An order to a PUBLIC official from a court to compel the performance of a ministerial act or a manditory duty where there is a clear legal right in the plaintiff.
West’s Legal Thesaurus and Dictionary.
emphasis is mine.
In other words they’re putting the screws to Obama, the DNC, and possibly the FEC to produce the requested documents.
What’s that? Barky just bought a one way ticket to Kenya? LOL!!!

oops on the double post but manditory should read mandatory.
Funny. No one else sees all this stuff. Maybe, just maybe, it’s because there’s less to it than all the comments on this blog seem to believe. After all, the power of the MSM couldn’t keep W out of the White House, even though he was the least prepared President in a century–worse than Harding. Looks to me like a lot of people are just grasping at straws here. It’s kind of like what Gertrude Stein said about Oakland CA: “There’s no ‘there’ there.”
…as in..”there’s no birth certificate there”.
It might be a distraction, but I am curious as to why a legal battle is needed when it could be put to bed with presenting a copy of a birth certificate?
Since when do Americans put a freshman senator in the WH?
God help us all.
Check out Uppity’s site – she has Barky’s resume posted.
For someone who is running for POTUS, it’s extremely thin.
Where’s the PBS poll asking if Barry’s qualified to run for President?
I looked for it too…
Funny, ain’t it? I’m crying…literally.
Can’t stand uhbama and his bullshit.
Although we knew how lame and irrelevant the media has become, I do n’t beleive anybody could have imagined the pitiful job they would have done throughout this election cycle. The cycle has lasted at least 2 years. I can remember Chris Mathews of Hardball beginning his lead everyday since the 2006 election with the name “Hillary”. It really did begin the very day after that election. Your everyday family at home has no idea that there are major corporations that have bought up and consolidated the media so much that there is only 1 or 2 separate outlets that is distributing the headlines. These same corporations are leading investors of the Military Complex making billions through goverment contracts. When they have been so bias and calculating in their support of Obama, you gotta wonder whats up. Its not just fear of being called racist. Thats just an excuse.
More on the Berg vs Obama lawsuit on here today: http://www.americasright.com
I realize that you are probably already aware of this, but someone has discovered a good photo of Obama bin Biden with Pfather Pflamethrower at:
http://blog.changeandexperience.com/2008/10/2000-interview-barack-obama-states-i.html
I guess they were out “organizing the community” that day.
Obama gave a shout out to the good Father who was in the audience of one of his events (I think it might have been at the celebration of his winning his Senate seat).
All Obama would have to do is show the requested records and that would end the lawsuit.. Maybe he doesnt have them,
FOX NEWS: was watching Neil Cavuto interview Lynn DeRothchild (former Hillary supporter)and she told Neil that she was threatened while talking about that Kahlidi guy..she was told if she mentioned his name again she would be taken care of…There is something BAD weong with Obamas’ supporters…Cripes Almighty…she said she’s not AFRAID of them!! Good for HER!!!
Yeah, at her Synagogue. Someone stood up when she mentioned Khalid al Mansour and said if she mentioned him again, they would attack her. Brave woman.
We knew he and his goons were of this caliber.
And since she mentioned Khalid on Cavuto she said she will see if the threat was genuine.
an hence the reason the people wish to maintain the 2nd amendment.
That was one of your best cartoons and should have been a wake up call. Unfortunately, it appears that people who have already made up their minds about a candidate will discount any contrary information as just a dirty attack and look no deeper. So, as we approach the election, I don’t expect the increasing attacks of McCain/Palin to have the devastating impact they hope for. The fervent Obama followers certainly won’t change their minds or open their eyes. The only ones who might be tipped over to McCain/Palin are those who are teetering on the fence looking for something to push them over one way or the other. It is also possible that some of these will see negative information as just dirty politics and they may want none of it. Missouri is the “show me” state, and these foks take a lot of convincing to move one way or another. They tend to look at how the candidates’ promises affect their own lives and pocketbooks and whether the promised changes promised ring true. They are not likely to be swayed by what they perceive to be just dirty attacks, and they are aware of the history of dirty tricks perpetrated by Republicans in the past. Except for the young voters, they remember tne Nixon years and may see negative information about a candidate as just more of the same. It seems to me that these are desperation attempts by McCain/Palin to pull a rabbit out of the hat because they think this is their only hope to win. We should know in a few weeks if their strategy and tactics were effective.
Well, the undecideds are who they are speaking to. As for the debate, I believe he will stay on his economic plan and tell them how Obama’s economic policies will put us straight into a Depression.
We’ll leave it to Sarah and Rudy out on the trail to bring everyone up to speed on who Obama is.
Over 40 No Quarter cartoons later, Hillary is out, Obama is in, and I am still asking the same question!
You and me both. I just had a friend send me an email saying he’s “not fond of Obama either, but he is unaffected by the attacks re: Ayers, “a guy Obama just hung out with who protested the Vietnam War 20 years ago.” They believe any and all lies by this guy. He doesn’t really “know” anyone when they become politically inconvenient. They’re best friends when they are funneling money into his campaign coffers.
This is from the Larry Sinclair site like page 5 / this is the guy who says he did
coke with Obama and sex in Nov 1999 / and the murders
To all the Obama thugs, supporters and surrogates I ask you to ask Barack Obama the following:
1. Senator Obama, did you purchase cocaine on November 6, 1999 for Larry?
2. Senator Obama, did you smoke cocaine in the back of a Five Star Limo & in a room at the Gurnee, IL Comfort Inn and Suites on November 6 & 7, 1999 while receiving oral sex from Larry Sinclair on both of those dates?
3. Senator Obama, did you have an intimate and s*xual relationship with Donald Young?
4. Senator Obama, did you provide Donald Young the phones numbers belonging to Larry Sinclair and ask Mr. Young to find out who Sinclair had spoken with about your gay s*x and crack cocaine use in 1999?
5. Senator Obama, were you involved in the planning and or execution of the murder of Donald Young?
Donald Young, Murdered TUCC Choir Director
6. Senator Obama, did you and/or David Axelrod hire Dan Parisi of whitehouse.com to arrange a rigged polygraph to try and discredit Sinclair?
David Axelrod Dan Parisi, Internet P**n King
7. Senator Obama, did you use Joe Biden and his son Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden to bring false charges against Sinclair to try and protect yourself? Did Joe Biden blackmail you on his own?
Joe & Beau Biden
And the list goes on and on. Can you ask the “Chosen One” to answer those questions?
To all the Media that insist on covering for Barack Obama, I am Larry Sinclair, and I APRROVE THIS MESSAGE.

My daughter is 22 old and a register democrat since she turn 18, she got a call on monday from some poll and was ask for the poll if she like obama, and she told them that for President she did not like him, so they ask her as a person did she like obama and she the guy that she did not like obama and she was going to vote this time for McCain. And they ask her is she a racist, she told them that she is a latina and she is not a racist that the only racist is obama, and than the asked her if there war any other democrats in the house and she told him that there 3 more democrats and that we are all going to vote this time for McCain and are joining to work to help McCain win, we feel that obama does not care for this country all he care is for him to be in power, than the guy ask if we anyone in this house that was under 20 years old and register or needed to register to vote, and thats when my daughter to him that he was no pollster and he was someone working for obama and that in this household there was no one he can fool to vote for obama and do not call this number no more, and the guy told her before he hung up that we would not vote for obama because we are racist and she told that no we are not voting for obama because we do not trust him, and he said you guys are racist racist racist my daughter had to hang up, but now we get during the night all kinds of calls, and in one call this women on the phone call me a racist and she knows who we are and she is going to people we know that we are racist, now I have to go and buy a answering machine, because the people that are calling us have block phone numbers, what the people that are working for obama have no right to do that, those people are crazy and out of controll and they need to stop, I am telling you guys just in case someone calls to get some poll do not answer there questions because they are going to do the same thing.
Good Lord! I am sorry to hear that, but thanks for sharing. What crazy people these Obamabots are.
You have to refuse to take these calls — I got 2 last night and just said I was too busy.
Send this to someone like Greta. Tell her the specifics – this kind of threats has got to stop!
Also – buy a whistle and let them have it! Blow it loud and hard in their ears. They will stop calling you.
Can you share what state you live in so others here can be on the look out for such calls?
Any questions as to why people don’t tell the truth to pollsters?
That’s why the crazies will say the election doesn’t match the polls afterward. Must be a stolen election or racists in charge of the count.
Why don’t the Obama nutcases realize that no one wants the experience that Pat had when she told the truth? The word is out about how the thugs operate and no one should answer truthfully when they call. The same reason that there are only a few bumper stickers around and they are all for Obama. No one is putting a McCain/Palin sticker on their car around the Monterey peninsula because they don’t want to invite vandals.
BTW, Pat. If they threaten you, call the phone company. They will track down the call and turn it over to the PD.
Dan.. I believe his connection with khalidi could bring him down.. He and Ayers feted Khalidi with a farewell party before he left to work for Columbia University and then Khalidi invited Ahmadinajad to Columbia University to speak last year when he was visiting United Nations (must be a friendship there)
have that link?
Caring…isn’t he also the one that helped send ombambi to Harvard?…
CNN just exposed Obama’s lie on ayers. Check it out. RNC knows something. They said the same thing in Kerry and Bush in 2004. They know something as the picture shows, there are sweets that is on Obama that will cause a big boom on Obama to make sure that Clinton could not be the DNC nominee. They had to wait to get both of them out so that the RNC can win this decisively.

1981, New York City: Just a Bizarre Coincidence?
October 7, 2008 by texasdarlin
It’s 1981, New York City. Barack Obama is residing a few blocks away from Weather Underground leader William Ayers. We know very little about Obama’s life in NYC during that period; supposedly he transferred from Occidental College and completed undergraduate studies at Columbia University. Obama’s academic records and, in fact, the records of his life from those years in New York are lost. [See references at end.]
At Occidental, Obama belonged to Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), a radical socialist organization of which the Weather Underground was an off-shoot. Did Obama continue his SDS membership at Columbia? (I read recently that Columbia was a major SDS center.)

The Washington Post has a slightly fuller story (but not much) about the raid of the ACORN offices in Las Vegas.
So, what do you think?
I think that the economic conditions, the bailout and the loss of 2 trillion and more in assets have completely change the whole enchilada for today and for the rest of the election season. Not that all those things won’t stick but actually if they would stick at all, now they will stick with double strength and half the effort. But that doesn’t mean that the campaign messages will remain as it is being planned.
Obama is now much more fragile and vulnerable because when everything changes, the one with the advantage usually will lose it.
The economic conditions favor now McCain. Why? Because only tax cuts and smaller government can get us out of the depression that lurks in the horizon.
The only problem is that people tend to never trust those two things because they are so simple that it is difficult to believe in simple solutions.
Yet at the same time difficult and complicated solutions also do not seem plausible.
Funny. But today, it will be body language, tone, straight talk and eye contact what will win the night. If McCain can unwrap with precision how it is that fewer taxes and smaller government will lift the country by citing a few examples from the great depression era, then he will win. Otherwise, Obama wins through charisma and lies.
Why would anyone believe tax cuts for the wealthy would help? That’s what Bush has been doing since he took office. All it accomplished was to make the wealthy a helluva lot richer. Everyone else has lost ground and we’ve doubled the national debt in the process.
I know a scam when I see one. The republicans have spent trillions that have gone into the pockets of corporate America. They’ve cut taxes to the people who most benefited from their irresponsible spending. They borrowed the money to run the scam, and left the debt for future generations to contend with. Basically, republicans are pirates.
Every republican that has come along since Reagan has blamed “tax and spend” democrats for the nation’s woes, promised to cut wasteful spending, and said they’d balance the budget. Every one has made the situation worse.
McCain is pitching exactly the same thing. Why should anyone believe he’ll be different?
Because tax cuts are not just for the wealthy. They are also for those who invest in business ventures and acquire machinery and inventory for retailing.
The wealthy regardless of how you set up the income tax structure will manage to keep more because the tax laws regardless of the tax rates are made for them. Democrats will not be changing them because most democrats are also quite wealthy themselves.
Tax cuts are for entrepreneurs and investors. It just so happens that industry requires high amounts of capital. Once a patent is files, it will not become a product unless high amounts of capital are invested into production facilities and trained employees to produce it and facilities for distribution and retailing. The lower the taxes the more rapidly these things can be placed into production.
The other way, by government purchasing goods and services, you generate much more corruption and waste. A government managed economy is one where most of the resources are wasted. Sometimes a war is necessary to deplete a government managed economy in order to put to use the products of a military industrial complex.
The best economy is one that produces goods that provide higher standards of living. Lower taxes provide for a faster way for goods to get to the end users.
If we vote a POTUS in that has terrorist friends, enemy countries are not going to take him seriously, but be more inclined to push him around. Don’t you REALLY think that national security trumps the economy?
If we don’t have some sanity regarding national security, the economy WON’T MATTER! !
Hey everyone. What is past is done. Fight on. Mac was counted out and look where he is now with an even shot at winning. Perhaps better than even.
That’s right! Remind all where McCain was last fall; broke and behind. It’ll make his victory even sweeter!
It’s his pattern. Coming back fast as the underdog.
Leadership with character is what we need now. Not a waffling vacuous flip-flopper. Thank god the REAL vetting of Obambi is beginning in earnest. McCain-Palin ‘08!!
The question Obama must answer is: Was his relationship with Bill Ayers a sexual one? Bill Ayers is rumored to be Bi Sexual.
I think we should ask Meshell that one.
Why is it we don’t hear about Barack’s former girlfriends? Couldn’t they make a lot of money selling their story to the tabloids? Did Obama’s campaign pay them off to keep quiet? Or, do they even exist?
Was Michele his first and only girlfriend?
First, we are all ASSUMING mechelle is female. With all the other bs barky’s been feeding us, why should we accept that mechelle is female?
not only do we not know enough about barky, but every time we ask questions the answers are more disconcerting and incomplete.
WHY WONT BARKY TELL US WHO HE IS?
Ha!
It’s pretty clear who wears the stra*-*n in that household.
( ok, that’s an example of what I would have said if I were tasteless, which I am not. I swear. )
and that would completely minimize the key concern: has ayers been grooming obama for this position and for what purpose.
It is the relationship with terrorists that matter, not any relationship in the bedroom.
True and I believe it but it is so tenuous that it cannot be carried forward.
Great cartoon Pat. I like the way you made Rove’s head so big. I have always despised Karl Rove. He is, in my estimation, devoid of morals or integrity. What I hate to admit, though,is that he probably is a genius. He has extraordinary recall for information and facts. I wish he was an advisor to the McCain campaign. They could have used his abilities.
Oh, have no doubt that the McCain campaign is in contact with Karl Rove, probably on a daily basis. It’s just being done very quietly behind the scenes.
EVERYBODY!
don’t forget the phrase he used about his pay grade.
Palin should have used that with Curic.
“that question is above my pay grade”
Now that would have been funny if Sarah Palin answered Katie Couric’s “What magazines do you read…Can you be more specific…….Can you tell me just one” with “That’s above my pay grade,” to mock Obama.
Maybe she caught them, for Xsake!
Maybe she joined them!
I think your cartoon is about to get relevent again, LOL. My biggest fear has been there is so much candy in that store, how will the Republicans ever figure out which peice to offer first? Too much candy will give voters a stomach ache.
Sam Copeland sounds great! I agree with his points, except I believe the timing and the way this is all coming down is perfect. People have short attention spans. If the ugliness had started weeks ago, people would have just tuned it out by now. I think Palin is doing a fabulous job for McCain, LOL, judging from the complete hysteria coming from places like the Big Cheetoh, that is.
The problem for McCain in waiting to attack is that many more people vote by absentee ballot these days (than a few years ago) and in most states absentee ballots are being sent out now. The longer McCann waits to attack, the more absentee ballot voters he misses.
Anyone notice that as soon as the polls had Obama over 50%, the stock market plunge to new lows. WHen the race was almost tie, the stock market was doing fine. It seems whenever the MSM show polls of Obama winning, the stock market dips. I think many people are taking their money out of the market because they know an Obama presidency means higher capital gains. The market is fearful of an Obama presidency with a democrat control congress. The stock market will do better when John McCain poll ratings get better.
The MSM is manipulating the Polls to show Obama up. They are tryign to depress McCain supporters. But this race is still very close. Noway Obama is up 15 points in PA.
Agreed!
PA is closer than they want to believe. Within my group of friends, it’s about a 3 to 1 ratio of McCain to Obama. This is among previous Democrat supporters.
As I drive around, there are a lot more McCain signs than Obama signs.
Obama may take the cities but there are many bitter folks that cling to their guns and religion that religiously come out to vote.
Last election, I waited in line 2 1/2 hours to vote for Kerry (I’m ashamed to say). Do you really think that the majority of Obama supporters are that committed to voting for him? That is longer than the lifespan of an iPod charge – keep that in mind.
Of course, Bruce Springsteen could show up and play somewhere. That was ridiculous. It has become a circus.
That halperin gibbs interview is great. halperin keeps asking gibbs if obama thinks its OK to associate with an unrepentant terrorist. gibbs won’t answer. halperin says: maybe obama will be asked about at the next debate. By the end gibbs is pissed.

With all due respect, I think your friend is wrong.
He’s analyzing this thing to death.
I heard this from someone during the primaries, an acquaintance of ours. It’s a very plain, very simple equation: The fix.
Barky is the fix, the corporate candidate that’s being foisted on the American people. And in even plainer speak–THAT’S EVIL.
http://citizenwells.wordpress.com/2008/10/06/obama-and-dnc-motion-for-protective-order-staying-discovery-pending-decision-obama-is-indonesian-obama-is-an-illegal-alien/
We don’t even know if Obama is legally qualified to be president. The Obama/DNC refuse to produce the necessary documents. McCain produced his….
Whoever has that tape of Michelle badmouthing white-folk better hurry!
Hey Sam, We’ve just found the rock that Obama was hiding under. Hang on. There’s a treasure trove there. Plenty of time. One day in a campaign week is an eternity.
The Character of Obama is the central issue. He has lied and switched his views so many times that now, no matter how attractive his agenda is the question is,
does he have the strength of character, wisdom to see them through?
How do we know that he does not have hidden agendas, influenced by the likes of Ayers, Wright, Khalidi, Rezko et all, that he will implement after assuming office?
He should be asked questions on this directly and in front of the whole nation.
I honestly don’t think any of Obama’s past is going to stick to him. He has America hoodwinked into believing that he will change our nation for the better.
He’ll change it alright, but it’s not the change we’re looking for.
I can hardly wait to come here on election night to witness you all losing your minds and plotting your next move in 2012. How sweet it is
That’s right, Palin in 2012
There’s an old saying you might pay heed to:
Don’t count your chickens before they’re hatched.
Well, bot, that would be US laughing at YOU when YOUR master LOSES the GE and YOU lose YOUR mind. Oh, wait…losing a mind presupposes you actually have one. Never mind, android from hell (obamalobotobotland).
Hmm…Looks like someone’s already beginning to unravel.
Oh boo-hoo Teri.
I lost my mind when Hillary was kicked aside for your inept media-hyped empty-suited Obama.
I don’t care anymore. This is my first post in over a month. Both McCain and Obama are puppets for the billionaires and corporate CEO’s.
What we needed was a statesman/woman.
We lost her to the left wing of the DNC.
Remember Teri, the republicans play as dirty as Obama. So he’s got a fight on his hands.
It just might be you who’ll be cryin’ the blues on November 4th.
win or loose, our next step is to over throw the inept democratic party heads – like brazile, pelosi, dean, reid
I did find it interesting that Karl Rove is predicting a landslide win for Obama!
Karl Rove is an attention-seeking asshole. Just ask GHWB, Bush the Good.
Rove knows what he is doing….and saying. Good move on his part.
He didn’t actually predict that did he?
He wanted Nobama to run, not Hill, because he’d lose to the GOP.
Rove is saying that to piss people off into voting for McCain. It’s a smart move.
So Rove is predicting Obama will win in a landslide? Oh my GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are doomed. Rove is really good at figuring these things out. It would be an awfully nasty thing for him to say if he doesn’t actually believe it.
Tek is an idiot troll. Rove will be remembered for destroying Obama’s Fourth Reich.
Excuse me, Oblueballs Fourth Reich.
I have been thinking more about the cartoon. The Democratic machine (DNC) picked a candidate that came from the Chicago political machine, which is known for corruption and its control on all kinds of things, including government contracts. (I say The Democratic machine because it was not majority of the peoples’ choice.) The current information is that the candidate himself has ties to people who do not like the United States, others who are crooked themselves, and family ties to a brutal dictator that he campaigned for. The Obama group has to go back 20 years to find negative information about McCain. If the Democratic Party and the Democrats do not care about Obama’s history and the Republicans cannot make their case to the American people for selecting McCain, then we will deserve the government we get.
I am really frightened that the Republican Party is not smart enough to promote McCain and at the same time revel to the American public the dangers of electing Obama, Michelle, and Obama’s people. God help us all.
How many people are comfortable talking to their Democratic Friends and being able to say proudly that they are for McCain? I am!

It’s starting to look like Rove was never such a genius after all. The real “secret” of GOP success was the Corporate Media was taking their side. This time, the CM is taking Obama’s side, for whatever reasons.
Because he is a rock star, like the post says. Media wants only viewers so they can get sponsors. They could care less about anything else.
10 minutes till the debate, every one please take some time to pray for the American people, for wisdom, & for God’s guidance upon our candidates. We need wisdom, we need our eyes open!
That statement explains a lot.
Obama’s lemmings are ruled by fear. Cold unreasoning fear.
Pitiful.
Amazing work Pat an right on the money.
A splendid cartoon, that hits the bull on the eye.
