Google has made available its search engine index from 2001 as part of its 10th anniversary. Here are a few tidbits that you may not find on today’s Internet [and which are all corroborated by links to the just-available articles; we will provide all of those links in subsequent individual stories on these items, which we are posting in a fast summary because it's critical the word get out]:

Michelle Obama shows up repeatedly in materials. For example, she was a planner for a 10th Anniversary Prom for the Community Renewal Society, part of Chicago School Reform. Also on the lists are the Ayers, Klonsky’s, and other usual suspects from Barack’s circle of Chicago associates.

This is an edited copy of Google’s 2001 index. The search engine index from 2001is linked to the edited archive at Internet Archive. Yes, both are filtered and, thus, incomplete.
Google Uncovers Itself as Biased Arbiter of Information
In offering this window into 2001, flawed as it might be, Google inadvertently unmasks their nefarious role in delivering us to 1984.

- The results you see here are indeed taken from our January 2001 index, but as noted above, we’ve removed a fair number of results.
- If you clicked on the link to today’s version of the webpage, please contact the website owner directly to take down the bad content. If you clicked on the link to the Internet Archive’s version, you can contact the Internet Archive. If you think the search result should be removed from our Google 2001 search index due to inappropriate content or sensitive information, please let us know.
One can only imagine that today’s index is as equally compromised. To see the bias at Google, browse through their own blog at http://googleblog.blogspot.com/.
And at The Internet Archive, they also readily filter their collection: “The Internet Archive is not interested in preserving or offering access to Web sites or other Internet documents of persons who do not want their materials in the collection.” As with Google, they offer steps to have items removed from the collection.
The Challenge to Find What is There
Google and the Internet Archive offer us, even if flawed and filtered, a window into the past that is shocking and sobering because we’ve become so dependent upon Internet search engines that we’ve often forgotten to question it’s completeness or accuracy. These indexes are filters and they do not necessarily show us what we want to find but rather what someone else wants us to find or, worse, not find.
In the case of Barack Obama, we find details that he has carefully scrubbed from his current persona as he runs for president. But he cannot hide from the truth. As Obama has shrouded himself in lies, misstatements, and omissions, it is up to us, the voter, to ferret out the truth, which is often in plain sight.
With Google and other Internet organizations controlling access to information it is important to remember how to do real research through multiple sources as over dependence on any one source is dangerous. I was a graduate student of history in the 1980s, learning to do research the hard way, with physical indexes, books, printed media, and microfilm or microfiche. It is past time to brush off those old skills.
And, as a final thought and recommendation, as you do your own research and reading, please keep in mind that the Google index is only up for a few more days and the data you find today may be gone tomorrow. Do screen captures of everything you find of interest. Where data isn’t accessible, write down what you can and go to the library to retrieve it. Finally, as I’ll write in a near future post, there are other search engines and Internet archives that might prove helpful in your efforts.

What a scoop! Congratulations. So there’s now hard evidence that Barack Hussein Obama was a member of the socialist party in Chicago in 2001. Wow.
Again, as with media bias this is a horrific development. As Google becomes a major resource, we as citizens of a democracy need its services to be transparent and contain historically accurate information. Google cannot be in the business of scrubbing past content.
This goes beyond this election. The reason the First Amendment protects the freedom of speech and of the press is that the framers of the Constitution believed that the free flow of information was essential to a free people living in a democracy. If we cannot trust the media to report honestly and we cannot trust an internet search engine to provide accurate historical information, how can that free flow of information so essential to a free society be safeguarded.
This news needs to be shouted from the mountaintops and this move by Google needs to be reversed.
The press has betrayed the American people in ignoring its responsibilities to we the people, and they couldn’t care less.
The media sifts through people’s lives and rips them to shreds with impunity and accountable to no one. After all, what are we going to do? Cancel our subscriptions? Call their answering services and send emails that collect in the junk file?
They are fair game.
It is time that we post their details, their personal email addresses, their phone numbers, their addresses, their lives for all to see. Let them feel what it is like. Let them deal with harassment. Their behavior is borderline treasonous. FUCK EM!
I just watched a short report on ABC regarding the money being spent on this election. To hear George and Charlie outspending — regardless of the message, its truthfulness, accuracy or what is good, right, and beneficial for Americans is where it’s at. When did this become a fire sale?
We are seeing ads here (Ohio) about 0mama’s position on partial birth. Let me tell you … this message and hearing a shout out from the priest is significantly more important than the union telling you to vote Democratic.

Detils here. McCain’s spokesman Charlie Black came out today and explicitly credited Hillary for authoring the idea McCain embraced last night.
This could be a game-changer. McCain is now to the left of Obama on THE major economic issue of the day.

I have a theory there too. I heard a report that Obama had all his financial people at a meeting and said he wanted new ideas for the ecomomy. Since he stole most of Hillary’s ideas in the primary- I assume this was one of his agendas that he was going to pull out. I saw Obama’s face when McCain talked about it and I thought he looked pissed. Since it was delivered in McCain’s first answer I think McCain did it to preempt Obama. What do you all think?

I found this google thingie yesterday (mentioned at Uppity Woman). I did some quick digging and found the New Party connection (as did others at Bitter Politicz).
Anyway, I was describing it to my husband last night and I told him that I thought people might find some good “dirt” on Obama. It then occurred to me that we should thank Google for this perfectly timed opening into the past. THEN, I wondered if maybe it was planned—give the opening so that people could find info on BO. I’m sure google is owned by someone who is owned by someone is connected to soros and so I am probably wrong. But, it just seems so silly that this golden opportunity just now happened. I mean for their anniversary they could have just done a celebration logo on their google page!

I think there are a more and more people in the press having buyers remorse with Obama. That aren’t quite sure how to untangle themselves from the web. I’ve been noticing more and more negative articles in newspapers. Anderson Cooper just did a thing on his ties and he looked like someone had just kidnapped his best friend. It would be hilarious if the MSM turned out to be the Oct surprise for Obama finally after all this time actually doing their jobs to vet him. SCRANTON – A major supporter of Hillary Clinton and member of the Democratic National Committee’s Platform Committee, on Monday said the Democratic Party has nominated “the worst candidate” while Republicans have nominated the best.
Lynn Forester de Rothschild helped open the Democrats for McCain headquarters on Main Avenue in West Scranton. About 30 supporters turned out to welcome de Rothschild and speak out for the Republican ticket.
“What it came down to was that I decided I love my country more than my party,” de Rothschild said, explaining her support of Sen. John McCain and Gov. Sarah Palin. “I’m really worried. I do not want (Obama) in the White House.”
De Rothschild, 54, said she sees Northeast Pennsylvania – specifically Luzerne and Lackawanna counties – as the key to winning Pennsylvania’s 21 electoral votes. And, she said, whoever wins Pennsylvania will likely become the next president.
“Barack Obama has never had the mandate of Democrats,” she said. “And Howard Dean and Nancy Pelosi ignored the 18 million people that voted for Hillary Clinton. They can’t be surprised at the 5 million to 7 million Clinton supporters who are now supporting McCain.”
One organization – PUMA, which stands for Party Unity My Ass – has more than 5 million members across the country, she said. Jamie Brazil, a longtime friend of the Clintons and the Rodham family, is serving as national director of Citizens for McCain. Brazil accompanied de Rothschild on her Scranton visit.
Brazil and his wife, Dee, will be godparents to Simon Rodham, son of Tony and Megan Rodham at his baptism Oct. 12 in Scranton. Tony Rodham is Hillary Clinton’s brother. The Clintons will attend the post-baptism brunch at the Brazil home in Scranton.
No announcement has been made regarding a possible pro-Obama event while the Clintons are in Scranton.
“I’m here in Scranton because this is one of two counties in Pennsylvania — Luzerne being the other – that will determine who will be our next president,” de Rothschild said. “I want that to be John McCain.”
Carol Oleski is director of the Democrats for McCain office. Judy O’Connor is assisting Oleski and has taken a strong stand for McCain.
“Hillary supporters are way past the anger stage,” O’Connor said. “We are supporting McCain because we feel after Hillary, he is the most qualified candidate for president.”
O’Connor said most Clinton supporters who have come over to the McCain side feel the Democratic Party threw the New York senator “under the bus.” She said the Democratic “good ol’ boys club” didn’t want a woman to be president.
“We find McCain to be honest and genuine,” O’Connor said. “We don’t trust Sen. Obama; we don’t feel he is qualified for the job. He has walked down many hallways, but he hasn’t left many footprints.”
A self-made multimillionaire who is married to British royalty, de Rothschild has called Obama an elitist. She splits her time living in London and New York and was one of Clinton’s top fundraisers, bringing in more than $100,000 for the campaign.
De Rothschild built a multimillion-dollar telecommunications company before marrying international banker Sir Evelyn de Rothschild.
Love it – 5-7 million Hillary-supporting dems will NOT vote for 0bama! (I’ll bet it’s a lot more than that!)
I’d say McCain will get at least 3-4 points from what the 0bamamedia like to call the BRADLEY EFFECT, but what is really (in this election at least) the PEER INTIMIDATION EFFECT – which, of course, has nothing to do with race or racism.
I’m sure the barky campaign has REAL INTERNAL POLLS – not the media-cooked ones – and that’s why ACORN and barky are in such a hurry to “register” people 7 times each and restore all those dead people to the voter rolls.

Charlene Davis, co-director of the election board in Jackson County, where Kansas City is, said the fraudulent registration forms came from the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, or ACORN. She said they were bogging down work Wednesday, the final day Missourians could register to vote.
“I don’t even know the entire scope of it because registrations are coming in so heavy,” Davis said. “We have identified about 100 duplicates, and probably 280 addresses that don’t exist, people who have driver’s license numbers that won’t verify or Social Security numbers that won’t verify. Some have no address at all.”
The nonpartisan group works to recruit low-income voters, who tend to lean Democratic. Polls show Republican presidential candidate John McCain with an edge in bellwether Missouri, but Democrat Barack Obama continues to put up a strong fight…
According to its national Web site, the group has registered 1.3 million people nationwide for the Nov. 4 election. It also has encountered complaints of fraud stemming from registration efforts in Wisconsin, New Mexico, Nevada and battleground states like Michigan, Ohio and North Carolina, where new voter registrations have favored Democrats nearly 4 to 1 since the beginning of this year.

I have been listening to the cubans in Florida. Now, the Miami cubans are basically a bunch of hip-hop children with pants down to their knees and are voting for Obama not because they like him because “it is the in thing and it is also to rebel against their parents.” On the other hand, the larger majority of cubans in their 40s-80 age- spread out throughout the state are voting for Mccain. I, being an active supporter of the flag, asked alot of these cubans why are they are voting for the old soldier. This is what they have said to me. “I remember a man who came down from the hills of our country many many years ago. While he was in hiding and planning to take over our country he trained a bunch of white doves. These white doves were train to come to him at a certain time of the day to him for feeding. When this young man came down the mountain to conquer our land, he started speaking to the people about “change” and while he spoke hundreds of white doves came and landed on his shoulders. The people cheered and yelled because a “savior” had arrived- little did they know that it was that damn doves looking for their evening food. The man was Fidel Castro.” The cuban said to me ” my country had Hilton hotel, casinos, beautiful houses and this same “change” that Obama is offering is the same BS that our friend Castro promise us.”

Thank you for disabusing me of such notions with your letter to me dated February 2, 2006, which explained your decision to withdraw from our bipartisan discussions. I’m embarrassed to admit that after all these years in politics I failed to interpret your previous assurances as typical rhetorical gloss routinely used in politics to make self-interested partisan posturing appear more noble. Again, sorry for the confusion, but please be assured I won’t make the same mistake again.
As you know, the Majority Leader has asked Chairman Collins to hold hearings and mark up a bill for floor consideration in early March. I fully support such timely action and I am confident that, together with Senator Lieberman, the Committee on Governmental Affairs will report out a meaningful, bipartisan bill.
You commented in your letter about my “interest in creating a task force to further study” this issue, as if to suggest I support delaying the consideration of much-needed reforms rather than allowing the committees of jurisdiction to hold hearings on the matter. Nothing could be further from the truth. The timely findings of a bipartisan working group could be very helpful to the committee in formulating legislation that will be reported to the full Senate. Since you are new to the Senate, you may not be aware of the fact that I have always supported fully the regular committee and legislative process in the Senate, and routinely urge Committee Chairmen to hold hearings on important issues. In fact, I urged Senator Collins to schedule a hearing upon the Senate’s return in January.
Furthermore, I have consistently maintained that any lobbying reform proposal be bipartisan. The bill Senators Joe Lieberman and Bill Nelson and I have introduced is evidence of that commitment as is my insistence that members of both parties be included in meetings to develop the legislation that will ultimately be considered on the Senate floor. As I explained in a recent letter to Senator Reid, and have publicly said many times, the American people do not see this as just a Republican problem or just a Democratic problem. They see it as yet another run-of-the-mill Washington scandal, and they expect it will generate just another round of partisan gamesmanship and posturing. Senator Lieberman and I, and many other members of this body, hope to exceed the public’s low expectations. We view this as an opportunity to bring transparency and accountability to the Congress, and, most importantly, to show the public that both parties will work together to address our failings.
As I noted, I initially believed you shared that goal. But I understand how important the opportunity to lead your party’s effort to exploit this issue must seem to a freshman Senator, and I hold no hard feelings over your earlier disingenuousness. Illinois: The first NP member heads to Congress, as Danny Davis wins an overwhelming 85% victory yesterday (he got a higher percentage of the vote in that district than the President). NP member and State Senate candidate Barack Obama won uncontested. Interestingly, it appears that the local Democratic machine is trying to distance itself from our folks. At a “Democratic Unity” march on Chicago’s West Side, a flyer invited community members to join with a host of local democratic candidates. The only two west-side Democrats not listed: NP members Danny Davis (U.S. House candidate) and Michael Chandler (Alderman and Ward Committeeman).
Well – I was a busy bee.
