Many people are worried that American is becoming too much of a socialist state. I am worried, in part based on the above, that the Obama people want to make it into a communist state where people are afraid to speak up. There already are Republicans in California who are afraid to say they are for McCain and that a Democratic Congress with Obama at the helm is a recipe for disaster. What have the Democrats done for this country in the last two years and done to avoid the crises in which we find ourselves? Since they were in control of the House and Senate they are more responsible than the Republicans.

At the last debate, McCain’s saying “that one” in response to the understood question of “which one” was deemed racist as was his use of the term “dark days.”

It’s all somewhat laughable, but troubling because these constant findings of racism in speech will become more draconian under President Obama. Those who disagree with his administration will have to bob and weave their way through the linguistic landmines of imaginations like Bob Herbert’s before they can even get to the issues – which disagreeing on those with Obama will also, definitely, be racist.

I can’t help but feel almost that this huge gas price increase that hurt the American people so badly.Think about Ohio who has lost all of its industry and now jobs here fall into service minimum wage jobs for lots of families who worked in the factories who now have gone to Mexico.Think about 7.35 an hour and gas costing here 4.00 a gallon all summer.The gas goes up every summer until the heat bills are about to come then gas at the pumps goes down to ready our pocket books for the even higher heat bills.The stock market seems almost staged.Yah I know it sounds stupid but that is how afraid I have become of our goverment.Perception is a great and powerful tool.And now I beleive more then ever the Democrats or the Republicans don’t give a hoot about us.
All i am trying to say I guess is this seems like a fixed election.Ayers has been brought out since about Ohio primary,and hasnt hurt Obama yet.Wright hasnt stopped his momentum,Acorn,Ferackan,Plegher,race,experience,lieberalism,black theology,Muslim schooling,Birth certificate,Michell’s thesis,Whitey tape? Socialism,Ayers!No one is holding him accountable to anything not the Democrats,the goverment and lastly and sadly the American people the voter!This scares the hell out of me about where are country is going to.

At 54 years of age I am truly afraid for my future and my childrens future.I am just a single Mom whose children are in there mid 20’s and early 30’s.Still have a daughter at home having a terrible time making it at 25.I was a waitress server and restaurant bartend all my life.Made good money and raised my children by myself and have kept my house.But now I dont know where I am going to end up.Yes I am a middle aged over the hill uneducated Hard worker and I am sure it shows in my writing that I grew up in a different time as a woman in lower income America.Yes I am a Kurt Vonnegut reader who believes that sometimes you are just and cant help what you are born into,if your Father is in real Estate you may be also,If your Mother is a server you just may be to,Or a painter,a police Officer or a factory worker.In other words I was not born with a silver spoon in my mouth and had little encouragement or money to go to college,but in my time woman were house wives and care givers to their children when one person was only needed to bring home the dough.But now it takes two and sometimes it takes children to take care of their parents because the more families pitch in to work to attain the American dream the corporate goverment just raises the gas the food the utilites and anything they can to compensate for the extra imcome you may be making.

Do I sound discouraged and scared yes I am.And certainly that belief does not see reality in the YES WE CANS OF THIS COUNTRY.Barack Obama does not speak for me!
My son pays his own way to college two years in and can’t financially finish.Affirmative action and the color of his skin did not help him in the country he was actually born in.The goverment didnt care to see to it his father’s child support after my divorce was or had any responsibility as a mans part to help a woman raise her children.The mostly black workers who seem to get all the goverment jobs didnt work to see my children were morally taken care of.I was even told that unfortunatly if a man does not want to pay theri is little you can do about it.Ge I was not given the choice and of course what woman would urn her back on her children so we find a way to support them even if the laws do not protect the moral rights of our children being supported by thier Fathers to.So here again an example of ill treatment of woman in this country.Even the thre times I was able to raise a thousand dollars to hire my own attorney rather then use the child enforcement attorneys I still saw no enforcement of my childrens child support.So I guess those goverment workers are making money on our tax payers money for nothing.they just handle the percentage of what they take out of the support checks that do come in.
The mayor of my city cares more about building an ampitheater and a natatoriam for the elite that has been built twice in 20 years and looks way better then our highschool.We have more exercising equipment for the latte drinkers though!I could go on and on about my discouragements but my blog is getting too long.I want to really point out that this new found HOPE that Obama talks about is more of the same political promises that politicicans never keep.And my party I think has a tingle up their legs for the African people and not the lower income people or middle class as a whole.I could care less about the tribal wars in Darfur and Kenya and alike,I can care less about the religious and tribal wars of the middle East.We will never change them.Why has the United States Goverment turned their backs on American born citizens who are hurting.Why does my son have to wait in line for a college education because he is white.Why do I find Mexican based companys non citizens on visas and some illegal getting a free education over my son,and lets add India,Africa,French,and every enternational country excedeing the rights of our constitution for every American citizen to have the right to an education yet it seems that only visa students attending our colleges for free have more constitutional rights then our children born into this country.Why did my son have to be eaten up by predatory loans and be in debt the rest of his life just to spend two years in college without the opportunity to finish.Did the goverment enforce the laws of my child support to further the eduaction of my children NO!The goverment says if you are white in this country and born into a rich family the odds are you will be comfortable in this American life.If you are a minority now changing to a majority and your skin color is other then white there is no law that will not be legislated to help you out.But as a white woman at the bottom of constitutional rights totem pole we suffer and our children with dead beat dads suffer.And remember while raising my children alone I get paid 70 cents on the dollar.So no I do not beleive in YES WE CAN or HOPE.How can I do that when our goverment has left me and my children on the wayside for their global corporate economy that now is on the verge of doom.Global? whre does that leave me and my children in the scheme of Global unity of our goverment with special interests in a corporate world that only takes on the intersts of politicians. Fannie Mae perfect example!

BTW, sorry if this is a bit off the subject but today I got a package in the mail from the DNC – a ‘package for change’ or some such drivel. There were two stickers in it and I altered them with a big ole magic marker and am sending back to them with their own postage:

No Third Term / Vote Democrat – I changed it to read ” Obama IS the 3rd Bush Term – another arrogant fool with no work ethic”

Ask me how many houses I own – I changed it to read “Ask Obama how Rezko bought his house for him”

Then I wrote a diatribe on the contribution form about Pelosi and Reid and the Dems supporting Bush with the bailout and told them to find their own f***ing money from that.

The nerve of these assholes.

Obama will then be able to do anything he wants as long as he has his army of racists calling everyone else racist.

We have to take a stand against this now. This is getting ridiculous. You should be OUTRAGED and disgusted when some calls you racist because you have a differnet judgement of a situation.

I just read the following response that you sent to a Penn State student who requested a permit to show support for Sen. John McCain. I am aghast that you (as a civil servant that is paid by tax payers of PA) would send such a blatant, obnixous and visceral response simply because someone is requesting something for something you obviously don’t agree with. Last time I checked this country was a democracy and this state a commonwealth. We are free to have differences of opinion, freedom of speech and freedom to decide our vote. We all own our vote – you should keep your opinions to yourself and do your job!

How dare you voice your opinion to a college student and denounce her views? Who do you think you are???

I am a lifelong democrat and will NOT be supporting the selected one in November. Last time I checked, Obama LOST PA in the primary and based on voter fraud (ACORN – look it up – maybe you’ll learn something!) and selective super delegate intimidation was selected as the D nominee.

Do not lose site of the facts, Ms. Lafer. When your party deserts you, you should do the RIGHT thing and put COUNTRY before PARTY! It is a travesty of our democratic system that the Democrat party would select a nominee that was clearly not vetted as one should who seeks the highest office in the land.

As far as your hangups with Sarah Palin – shame on you! You know Madeleine Albright has a quote you should seriously put in the thick head of yours and remember – it may come in handy one day being a woman and all : There is a special place in hell for women who don’t help other women.
