Barack Obama, The Front Man * Open Thread

This new McCain ad is titled simply: “Ayers,” and describes some of the actual crimes that Ayers and Dohrn committed (more stories coming on those crimes, because they are horrific and must be known).

NOTE: Below, the video, I typed the powerful words of Gov. Frank Keating, a former FBI agent, who appeared on MSNBC a short time ago. Gov. Keating strongly infers and correctly, I suspect, that Barack Obama is the front-man for these radicals.

Obama comes across to average people as a non-threatening, cerebral, cool type. However, in fact, Barack Obama is steeped in DECADES of influence by the likes of Bill Ayers, his wife Bernardine Dohrn, Saul Alinsky, black liberation theologian Rev. Jeremiah Wright (his pastor for 2+ decades), extreme radical Father Michael Pfleger, former PLO member Rashid Khalidi, and on and on — all financed by the shady business dealings of deep-pocket Chicago rich who get, let’s face it, their rocks off doing some “social good” but BUY political influence via Obama.

In sum: Barack Obama is a front man for the radicals, and Barack Obama is a front man for the shady businesspeople who make millions by exploiting tax payers’ money by, for example, running the Illinois state pension funds and taking over previously public housing but not improving it.

Now, the words of McCain ally FRANK KEATING, former Oklahoma governor and Special Agent for the FBI, on MSNBC today:

[About Bill Ayers] It does suggest character and judgment. When I was an FBI agent, we were HOT after Bill Ayers. This is an unrepentant terrorist who said in 2001 they didn’t blow up enough.

Remember Barack Obama is a “set piece” [FRONT-MAN?] here — not as a radical and as a terrorist, but as a member of the Illinois state senate.

In 2000, he voted against the entirety of the state budget because it had too much money for corrections. Voted against capital punishment. Voted against people being able to defend their families in their own homes by the use of a firearm. Voted for needle exchanges. Voted against making it a felony for a gang member to go back to gang activity while on probation. These are reckless, extreme, anti-law enforcement leftist positions that I think the American public needs to know about because it shows a lot about somebody’s value system and character.

It all makes sense, the way Keating explains it.

Having been heavily influenced by Bill Ayers, Bernardine Dohrn, Saul Alinsky, Wright and Pfleger and Khalidi, Obama did THEIR BIDDING when he was a state senator in Illinois.

He has laid low in the U.S. Senate. A smart move for a guy with his eyes set on the White House. He wouldn’t want to cause a stir.

Besides, he’d already accomplished the ONE thing he needed to do to excite “lefties” across the nation: He’d given that 2004 Keynote Speech at the DNC, which thrilled tens of thousands of left liberals who thought they’d found the next new and dynamic, unifying leader for the Democratic party.

They’re still so giddy over Obama that they cannot get sober long enough to see where he is really coming from and what he is really up to.

Let’s forget about the lefties. They won’t come to their senses.

But let us DO try to tell all of our neighbors, as well as all of our relatives and friends across the nation, about what Gov. Keating said this morning, and why Keating is so concerned as a former law enforcement official. Share that new video. Explain Obama’s long ties to Ayers and Dohrn, and the rest.

Send the post and a link to the video to everyone on your e-mail list. Let’s get the word out.

If you have to keep it simple, just ask them if they really want to elect a man who voted against the right of people to keep a gun in their own homes.

Ask them if they want to elect a man who voted against making it a felony for a gang member to go back to gang activity while on probation. (THAT VOTE has BILL AYERS WRITTEN ALL OVER IT — because Ayers’ “academic” specialty is “juvenile justice.”

What do you want to bet that Ayers “instructed” Obama to vote against that bill in the Ilinois state senate? Neither will ever ‘fess up, but it has to be true.

Why did Bill Ayers HIRE Barack Obama to head the $50 million Chicago schools program, the Chicago Annenberg Challenge (CAC)? To implement Bill Ayers’ ideologically extreme views of public education. And Barack Obama — who was really Bill Ayers’ STOOGE — went right along.

(That is what Steve Diamond and Larry Johnson and Stanley Kurtz at NRO have been trying to explain to people: That Barack Obama was Bill Ayers’ stooge for his radical vision of public education.)

But these days, of course, Barack Obama hides that position as chair of the CAC. He fears it will implicate him further in his ties to Bill Ayers. As so many people have said, it is amusing in that that is the sole executive position that Barack Obama has ever held, and what an experience that is for the next president of these United States. It sends chills down my spine.

The implications of the rest are mind-boggling. Share more in the comments.

It’s misleading to portray Obama as extemely left-wing when his senate and presidential candidacies have been almost entirely the product of the Bush Admin. and the GOP (in part using Donna Brazile as a go-between). Goldman Sachs has been his number one contributor three years in a row. Corporate lawyers represent his biggest individual funders as an occupation. Tony Rezko, his slumlord benefactor, raised $4 million for Bush in 2003. Rezko’s best friend was appointed minister of electricity in Iraq by L. Paul Bremmer, then proceeded to steal hundreds of millions of dollars in reconstruction funds (some of that probably ended up in Obama’s campaign bank accounts). Rezko’s other Iraqi friend loaned the money to help Obama buy his house - this man is a convicted felon in Europe. Its too bad more work hasn’t been done to educate progressives to the fact that if elected, Obama will simply continue Bush policies. The oil companies and banks own this man. Misleading. IMO it is not misleading to portray Obama as a harbinger of a socialist/communist movement in the U.S. and having a bully pulpit in the presidency.

Misleading comes :) from the word leading. Obama is a leader, obviously any candidate for president is a first class leader.

His past says something but his present says more. His words in his speeches say what he intends to do and what he doesn’t say within those words say what will be revealed later.

Obama is not that difficult to read. Read him through the fine print. The asterisks if you will.

Comment by MBC | 2008-10-09 18:45:20

Well said Lark, he has been saying these things for quite awhile, but only some of us are really listening. Barack Obama chooses his words carefully and they are terrifying!

Comment by Mercedes | 2008-10-09 13:49:45

This point of view makes more sense to me than Obama as socialist/communist. The way this campaign is going this election for the Democrats seems to be a mirror image of what the Republicans did to get those obscenities, Bush/Cheney, into the White House. Obama appears to be using the extreme left, minorities, and young voters as stooges and patsies in the same way that Bush/Cheney used the evangelicals….although Bush probably was a patsy too. Obama is not; he is a ROYAL, STINKING SLEAZE.

Comment by Conspiracytheorist | 2008-10-09 14:07:10

Agreed. I think it is GOP money all over Obama. The GOP that was big on Bush, not the GOP that is big on McCain (kinda like Obama Dems vs Clinton Dems). I think that faction of the GOP knew they would have a hard time getting elected in 2008, so they allowed McCain to get nominated, while they put their money on the Dems, specifically Obama. The really strange thing is my gut check on Ayers I don’t think it was a coincidence that he gave an interview to the NYT on 9/11/01 about how he thought he didn’t do enough. I believe under further investigation you will find Ayers is somehow linked to the Twin Towers Attacks, and the Pentagon. This was a Bill Ayers wet dream, and he is proud of what he has done against the Govt. in America, in fact, he WANTS to tell us that he DID more. Do I think Obama was involved? maybe. did he know about it/ You bet. Do I think there is a connection to Bill Ayers that dates back to the 80’s? Probably. I think Obama was recruited by Uncle Frank years ago, and Gramps probably knew what was going on. Upon closer examination it seems as though Obama’s Mother’s family most likely always knew that their daughter was a radical, and in fact, I get the feeling the whole damned family was…draw your own conclusions from what we know. my money is on the theory I just stated…Plus, I DO believe he had the three gay men from his Church killed/silenced for what they knew about him. Wouldn’t be hard to do if you had any illegal connections…oh wait, he does!!!! Lots of them!
remember people, evil people don’t glow in the dark alerting us to their evilness. Too bad.

I find this a bit curious… Wonder ehrn Dean will be banned form the studio!

From CBS News’ Dean Reynolds:

(NASHVILLE, TENN.) - After most of the previous 12 months covering Barack Obama’s campaign for the presidency, it was interesting, instructive and, well, relaxing to follow John McCain for the last few days. The differences between the two are striking.

Obama is the big time orator, McCain is the guy who struggles with a teleprompter or even note cards strategically placed nearby. Obama’s crowds are larger, more enthusiastic. McCain’s events are smaller, but to my eye, better choreographed. And now with the addition of Sarah Palin to some of his events, McCain can boast of crowds that match Obama’s in energy.

There is an urgency to the McCain campaign now that I don’t think was there before. Due to the fact that he is running second, no doubt, but it may also be because McCain has a finishing kick. Whatever the case, he is sharper on the stump than he was before. (Though I would suspect a candidate running behind would want to schedule two or three appearances per day, instead of the one McCain usually does.)

It is true that McCain enjoys taking questions from the audience in town hall-style settings. That doesn’t mean he is the master of that kind of forum, it just means he’s good at it. He likes to converse with voters. Obama does it well too, but seldom achieves that intangible bond with the people that all politicians crave — or fake.

Behind the scenes, where the public is not allowed, there are other differences.

Obama’s campaign schedule is fuller, more hectic and seemingly improvisational. The Obama aides who deal with the national reporters on the campaign plane are often overwhelmed, overworked and un-informed about where, when, why or how the candidate is moving about. Baggage calls are preposterously early with the explanation that it’s all for security reasons.

If so, I would love to have someone from Obama’s campaign explain why the entire press corps, the Secret Service, and the local police idled for two hours in a Miami hotel parking lot recently because there was nothing to do and nowhere to go. It was not an isolated case.

The national headquarters in Chicago airily dismisses complaints from journalists wondering why a schedule cannot be printed up or at least e-mailed in time to make coverage plans. Nor is there much sympathy for those of us who report for a newscast that airs in the early evening hours. Our shows place a premium on live reporting from the scene of campaign events. But this campaign can often be found in the air and flying around at the time the “CBS Evening News with Katie Couric” is broadcast. I suspect there is a feeling within the Obama campaign that the broadcast networks are less influential in the age of the internet and thus needn’t be accomodated as in the days of yore. Even if it’s true, they are only hurting themselves by dissing audiences that run in the tens of millions every night.

The McCain folks are more helpful and generally friendly. The schedules are printed on actual books you can hold in your hand, read, and then plan accordingly. The press aides are more knowledgeable and useful to us in the news media. The events are designed with a better eye, and for the simple needs of the press corps. When he is available, John McCain is friendly and loquacious. Obama holds news conferences, but seldom banters with the reporters who’ve been following him for thousands of miles around the country. Go figure.

The McCain campaign plane is better than Obama’s, which is cramped, uncomfortable and smells terrible most of the time. Somehow the McCain folks manage to keep their charter clean, even where the press is seated.

The other day in Albuquerque, N.M., the reporters were given almost no time to file their reports after McCain spoke. It was an important, aggressive speech, lambasting Obama’s past associations. When we asked for more time to write up his remarks and prepare our reports, the campaign readily agreed to it. They understood.

Similar requests are often denied or ignored by the Obama campaign aides, apparently terrified that the candidate may have to wait 20 minutes to allow reporters to chronicle what he’s just said. It’s made all the more maddening when we are rushed to our buses only to sit and wait for 30 minutes or more because nobody seems to know when Obama is actually on the move.

Maybe none of this means much. Maybe a front-running campaign like Obama’s that is focused solely on victory doesn’t have the time to do the mundane things like print up schedules or attend to the needs of reporters.

But in politics, everything that goes around comes around.

We all should be worried about our children pledging allegiance to Obama(have you seen the videos already out there)But he won’t win, the Repubs were down 18% in 2000 in October in the polls and stoled it from Gore. Now they need to steal it for the right reasons and they will–already started. They have to wait until the last two weeks people won’t focus longer than 10 minutes on anything so the later the better. Keep the faith.

We must all continue to fight and work hard continuously to get all of this information out about Obama. Right now there are a lot of investigations going on, The ACORN FRAUD is being investigated in most battleground states by the FBI and state officials, The FEC is investigating Obama’s foreign campaign contributions and the RNC has filed a complaint against Obama.
We have to keep getting the truth out about all of this awful associations - Thank you Frank Keating for speaking out,
Wish I had seen this on MSNBC, the in the tank people for Obama, bet they did not like that.

Secret Service visits Lufkin woman after ‘death threat’ allegation from an Obama campaign volunteer

By JESSICA SAVAGE The Lufkin Daily News

Monday, October 06, 2008

A Lufkin woman received a surprise visit from the Secret Service last week because of a “death threat” comment she reportedly made about Sen. Barack Obama to a campaign volunteer asking for her support of the presidential candidate.

Two federal agents arrived at Jessica Hughes’ home Thursday to ask her if she said, “I will never support Obama and he will wind up dead on a hospital floor.”

Jessica Savage/The Lufkin Daily News (ENLARGE) Jessica and Micah Hughes say two Secret Service agents showed up on their doorstep Thursday after a campaign volunteer for Sen. Barack Obama accused her of making a ‘death threat’ during a phone conversation a day earlier.

Hughes said her words were deliberately twisted by a volunteer who was apparently unhappy Hughes was rude during a phone conversation the two had. The Lufkin mother, a Republican, said she received a call on her cell phone Wednesday from a woman with the Obama Volunteers of Texarkana.

“She asked if I was an Obama supporter, to which I replied, ‘No, I don’t support him. Your guy is a socialist who voted four times in the state Senate to let little babies die in hospital closets; I think you should find something better to do with your time.’ (And then) I hung up.”

(Hughes is referring to a “born alive” Illinois bill that did not pass in the Illinois state Senate in 2005 and had previously been opposed by Obama because he said it undermined Roe v. Wade, according to FactCheck.org, a non-partisan organization. A federal version of the bill, which Obama said he would have supported, passed by unanimous consent and was signed into law by President George W. Bush in 2002.)

Obama Campaign Communications for Texas director Josh Taylor declined to comment Monday, refusing to answer any questions and referring the matter to the Secret Service, which he said is conducting an investigation. A message left with a Secret Service agent in Houston was not immediately returned.

Hughes said she was surprised to see two Secret Service agents at her door, and upset to learn that the conversation she had with the volunteer apparently had not been recorded.

“I find it hard to believe that (campaign volunteers) don’t tape these calls. They call people unsolicited and they aren’t monitoring the calls or recording them? I think that is absolutely ridiculous,” she said.

“I mean, how often must this happen — that someone is rude to a volunteer that they don’t want to talk to?”

Hughes said she wants to file a countercomplaint against the volunteer.

“She has made a charge that will follow me the rest of my life,” she said.

“I find that repugnant and violating — that some person got her undies in a bundle because she didn’t like what I had to say.”

I don’t know if the above article is already posted, but I want the first hand account spread far and wide. A friend in Texas sent this to me today:

On Wednesday the 1st of October I received a call on my cell while in the car with my husband. It was a woman who identified herself as calling from the Obama Campaign. The phone # she called from was 903-798-6020 which lists as “Obama Volunteers of Texarkana” ( Texas ).

She asked if I was an Obama supporter to which I replied:

“No, I don’t support him, your guy is a socialist who voted four times in the State Senate to let little babies die in hospital closets; I think you should find something better to do with your time.” I hung up.

Thursday, October 2, I answered the front door to find the Secret Service. Immediately I thought of the call and was furious that apparently you are not allowed to call Obama a Socialist without the Secret Service coming to investigate. Instead, they asked me about the following comment, relayed by the Obama Volunteer of Texarkana who called me, unsolicited on my cell phone:

“I will never support Obama and he will wind up dead on a hospital floor.” My husband laughed and told them “No, she called him a socialist but she never said a word about him dying.” I gave them my actual quote. The woman asked insolently “Oh? Well why would she make that up?” I replied that I supposed she wasn’t happy about what I said about her candidate and the Agent said “That’s right, you were rude!” The last time I checked being rude wasn’t a crime in America .

Luckily the big file they had gathered on me didn’t indicate mental instability or a past life of stalking/crime, however they did want to know how I felt about Obama. That was my limit. I told the Agent in no uncertain terms that my thoughts were not pertinent to their investigation, that this was America and the last time I checked I was allowed to think whatever I wanted without being questioned by the Secret Service. In fact, even if I had said what she claimed, that isn’t a threat. I told them (again) and my husband verified that the statement reported by Obama’s volunteer was a lie. I asked them if there was a tape of the call and they said no. I said, “So on the word of a ticked off Obama supporter you are on my porch with no other evidence and you want to question me about my THOUGHTS!?” They informed me that there was no evidence she was an Obama supporter…someone calling from his campaign…are you kidding?

I was not allowed to know the name of my accuser at which point they informed me that it wasn’t like I was in a court of law, YET, as if this was a good thing. I recognized this as a veiled threat. I told them I would happily go to court since I did nothing wrong and at least then my accuser would have to face me rather than sending the thought police to my house. They then said they were trying to do me a favor, that they came to me first before “embarrassing you by going to all your neighbors and family”, another threat? I told them to be my guest and talk to whomever they wanted but they weren’t going to investigate my thoughts on my porch.

They also informed me that it would be easier if the next time a supporter calls me I just say “Yeah sure count me in, or just hang up” apparently so she won’t get her undies in a bundle and give them more useless trips. Yeah right. I said “Look, someone calls me unsolicited on my cell phone to ask me to support their candidate and I can’t tell them why I don’t?” I said I was sorry they made a wasted trip but if they had a problem with some made up lie they needed to go talk to her about it because it wasn’t my fault they had to drive from Houston for nothing.

At one point I went inside and got a notepad to record their badge numbers and they refused to show me their badges. They had done the quick flip when they arrived. I asked for a card and the female Agent refused to give me one stating “You’re not going to get a card.” The male Agent gave me a card and told me I could contact Houston with any questions. The fact that the volunteer lied, the fact that the Secret Service came to my house to question me about my thoughts and feelings and threaten to embarrass me to my neighbors and go to court if I didn’t cooperate is not really the tragedy here. Because that girl on the phone doesn’t have the pull to send the Secret Service to my home. Someone high in the ranks of a campaign working for a man who may be the next President of the United States of America felt comfortable bringing the force of the Federal Government to bear on a private citizen on nothing but the word of a partisan volunteer. I want to file a counter complaint that false charges were made, that a false report was given to a peace officer. The Secret Service told me I cannot because they will protect the identity of the complainant.

I also want the file they have on me destroyed and I want to know that my phone isn’t tapped, etcetera. I am hearing a lot of “Out of my Jurisdiction”. Do I also hear jackboots? Jessica Hughes Lufkin, Texas Note: I have contacted several news organizations, Rep Gohmert, Sen Hutchison, the Atty General, Local Police Will keep you updated, pass it along.

I worked in wireless for several years. I have not been there since 2001 but while I worked there, it was ILLEGAL to solicit folks on their cell phone.

It is considered a luxury item and not a public utility and since you have to pay for incoming calls.

This person should notify the FCC and CTIA and find out if solicitation is legal on cell phones.

I do think McCain can pull it off though it won’t be easy. The voter fraud situation really worries me, but it seems they have people on top of it, and it has become well known BEFORE the election…which is good.

The Democratic Party leaders are just evil self-serving people that don’t care anything about this country as a whole. Why else would they all prop up Obama, a radical front man that is going to destroy America as we know it? I can’t believe this is happening either. What happened to having pride in your country? Why do they want to bring the country down?

If he was detained by Kenyan officials, I have to wonder how he was able to get the document out.

At this point, what would that mean? Biden is the nominee? I’d have preferred this to come out before the Convention. Right now, I’d prefer a real strong anti-American link to 0bama. Something tying him to his cousin Raila 0dinga in a concrete way that would make people feel uncomfortable.

These Botheads are so drunk on kool-aid they’d probably want the Constitution changed. We need something to show how dangerous he is.

With this being Obama’s only executive experience it truly does shout out “I don’t want people to know about this phase of my life”

McCain needs to keep the ads coming until everyone is aware that Obama is trying to hide the fact that his relationship with Bill Ayers amounts to a lot more than he is willing to admit.

I have a feeling that in this last debate McCain is going to let it all hang out. Obama dared him in an interview this morning to say these things to his face - well McCain, that is an invitation you cannot refuse. Do it during the debate when the whole country will be watching and listening. I will be rejoicing when you have him flubbering and stuttering all over the place. Perhaps he will completely lose it, as he almost did several times in this past debate, until Tom Brokaw calmed him down.

Comment by Hank | 2008-10-09 12:20:09

I would love to see a killer scene like the movie, A Few Good Men:

“You want the truth?” snaps Colonel Jessup. “You can’t handle the truth!”

McCain should look at Obama right in the eyes and say you remind me of Colonel Jessup. Can you please tell us the truth for once?

I hate Obama with every ounce of energy in my being but I hate Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn more. I fear them. I find them creepy. I know why Bill got off when all his Weather friends went down: his father who controlled Chicago. Technicality? Of course - but the technicality was Tom Ayers! This creep Bill Ayers knew all along he was (literally) above the law. And his behaviour shows just what a spoilt brat he’s been. All his life. That he and Dohrn have children is something I find frightening. I fear for those children. Not only for how warped they will be but for what future destruction they can wreak on this planet. I fully agree with others who say Ayers/Dohrn were twits. Revolution? Oh really? And who will assume power and how will you do it? Would you be the next president, Bill? What morons. And Bill never once feared going to jail. He kept undercover because that made him more FAMOUS - but check where he lived at the time - in the same town! Look at his cocky mug shot - he’s saying ‘you can’t touch me - I am the son of Tom Ayers’.

This is what gets me. They’re disgusting.

Comment by tzada | 2008-10-09 11:17:25

Ayers and Dohrn were there at the founding of the Weather Underground. At a 1969 “War Council” that helped launch the organization, Dohrn raised three fingers in a “fork salute” to Charles Manson, whom she proposed as a revolutionary inspiration. She went on to joke about Manson’s victims and dubbed them the “Tate Eight” after Sharon Tate, the pregnant actress whom members of the Manson tribe

stabbed in the womb with a fork. “Dig it,” said Dohrn at the time. “First they killed those pigs, then they ate dinner in the same room with them, they even shoved a fork into a victim’s stomach! Wild!”

Suppose. Suppose that Obama gets elected. Suppose as I predict Obama shuns Democrats as he waffles and flip flops back and forth on issues. Suppose the country begins to spin way out of control. Suppose Democrats, say like Hillary Clinton realize they are doomed by Obama and the country is also doomed. Wouldn’t they in a way of speaking ‘repent’? Wouldn’t they out of love for our country begin the painful journey back? How and when and at what cost?

Suppose that Obama as CIC stands alone between a large number of Democrats, most Republicans and most independents. What would he do? Would he resign or would he begin to mimic Chavez? Would he resign or would he set on a collision course with our Constitution? Would he resign or would he make a deal with China and Russia for a new era of peace and the domination of a bureaucratic class?

Susan is correctin her use of the word infer. Keating is making an inference from the evidence, therefore he infers.

To imply is to suggest. To infer is to conclude from evidence.

Yup, they spent it at a resort that is just 2 miles from my house…pretty swanky place, all right. It’s the Ritz Pointe resort in Monarch Beach, which is part of the city of Dana Point, located along the “California Riviera” in coastal Orange County. Drove by it today, and it reminded me of AIG. It wouldn’t take long to run up a tab there; I certainly can’t afford to eat there, and I go to a cheap spa up the street when I need a massage…:-)

2 + 2

ben smith poo poos ACORN’s vote reg fraud:
Two kinds of fraud

So the New York Post’s story leads:

Two Ohio voters, including Domino’s pizza worker Christopher Barkley , claimed yesterday that they were hounded by the community-activist group ACORN to register to vote several times, even though they made it clear they’d already signed up.

There’s not even an allegation that the guy was being pressed to vote twice.
http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/1008/Two_kinds_of_fraud.html

smith says of the two kinds of fraud ACRON’s is no big deal. But is it? Couldn’t one lead to the other? And this from the nyts. They wring their hands over the number of voters be purged from rolls:

States have been trying to follow the Help America Vote Act of 2002 and remove the names of voters who should no longer be listed; but for every voter added to the rolls in the past two months in some states, election officials have removed two, a review of the records shows.
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/10/09/us/politics/09voting.html

Isn’t it possbile that huge numbers of ‘voters’ ACORN is sining up are not only duplicates but much worse. Some states like NV think so. Add it up. ACORN runs wild registering whoever, same people several times, dead people, ect then the states have to waste time purging their voter rolls because of ACORN fraud. If only the nyts could add 2 + 2.

Comment by lark | 2008-10-09 12:02:19

Couldn’t one lead to the other?

But as for the false registrations?

I’m not so bugged. That’s the case anytime you use volunteers. So lazy bugger sits down and makes up names.

I am getting very discouraged. Even Republicans are saying “John McCain cannot win unless he or the RNC come out with the ‘big guns’ about Obama!” I agree with that assessment whole-heartedly. Bring it all out! The “Whitey” tape! The Larry Sinclair story! Try to find the college records! The Berg lawsuit!

If the RNC waits too long to do this, meaning THEY HAVE TO BRING IT OUT IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS, then the citizenry will view this as an act of desperation and summarily dismiss it. It has to be NOW! If McCain loses this election it will be because the RNC and the McCain camp underestimated Obama’s appeal and did not bring the ‘dirt’ out soon enough. Come on! What are you waiting for?

I am tired of hearing this stuff about bringing out the big guns. What more do we have to bring out—the record that is out there to me is so damning and so preposterous as the CV for POTUS that it is beyond belief that Obama is in this race and competitive. I don’t think it is McCain’s fault that things are where they are or Fox’s fault or this blog’s fault. It is the fault of people who are being presented with damaging information and are ignoring it, damning the messenger, throwing all of us into a giant black hole. It is raging stupidity. We will pay for this the way we have paid for GBush II, the Iraq war, cheap undeserved mortgages, the dot.com bubble, the subprime bubble and all the bubble brains who sold it and bought it.

I am fairly certain that Obama met Ayers while he was at Columbia. Columbia is a pretty, well shall we say, “free thinking” school. Some would say radical. Anyway, Ayers would have been well known at Columbia, as far as I’m concerned. Obama most likely met him while there. Apparently, Ayers even lived close by. Obama thinks he can pretend to be the all American kinda guy instead of the anti-American radical leftist guy he really is. I subscribe to that old teaching…what is done in the dark will come out in the light of day. The real Obama is coming to the forefront, and he won’t be able to keep explaining these things away.

Does anyone know of a connection between Ayers and the person raising the money for Obama to go to Harvard? (AS the Mom of a college kid , it sure would be nice to find some Saudi willing to pay for his college just out of kindness with no strings attatched) Also I wish Mccain and company would make it know that Michelle and Bernadette worked at the same Law office back when Obama was at Harvard. I think Michelle has a much bigger part in the making of BHO than people think. Doesn’t she have alot of Chicago connection thru her Dad, I think I read somewhere she basically grew up at JJ Srs. House since she was best friends with his daughter. Wasn’t Ayers Dad a big client of the law firm (Sidley?) which is how Bernadette, a felon, was able to get a job there? How did BHO end up there during the summer while at Harvard?

Comment by Dr. Kate | 2008-10-09 13:34:16

When the Weather Underground tried to blow up the house of that judge and his family, they were doing the dirtywork for and on behalf of the Panthers, as that Judge was presiding over a Panther criminal trial, so there is another link/connection.

As I stated in another thread, the Ayer’s ad released today is just another piece to the bigger puzzle. I believe McCain has more!

When McCain drops the truly damning Ayers tie, not only will it bring voters into the McCain camp, it will completely discredit the MSM who just keeps repeating “nothing to see here folks, move along…

If I’m right (and I sure hope I am) the strategy is brilliant. Kill 0bama’s credibility and that of the MSM all at the same time!

Now throw in a little Black Liberation Theology with the soundbites of 0Bama praising it…

Comment by Patrick | 2008-10-09 11:24:23

There is a guy who frequents one of the other blogs and he refers to himself as a “republican insider”. He said he has five friends that have actually SEEN the ‘whitey’ tape. I do know it exists, however, the Obama camp came out right away and said “there was no tape”, then a week later came out and said “Michelle said, ‘why’d he’ in the video”. Interesting . . . first there is no tape, then they try to clarify what she said in a supposed non-existent tape!?! Rest assured there is a tape. Now, whether or not what she says is subject to another interpretation is another story.

Comment by Shiloh | 2008-10-09 11:39:50

I don’t trust anonymous posters like that. But I do believe that and other tapes exist. By the way, try to make “why’d he” fit in contextually with “whitey.” Why’d he has to be followed with an action. Why’d he do that or why’d he say that. But if the tape says “I fucking hate why’d he,” LOL But when it comes out they have to say something. I expect a claim that it was doctored.

PS Another thing. Someone enterprising should begin searching MO’s tapes from the past and see if they can find even one case of her using the structure “why’d he.” I think it is hard to claim that’s even a part of her natural speech pattern.

JUST my opinion. It exists.

However, it’s so damaging, it really could destroy the country.

We’re really not well enough to handle it.

Just my opinion.

We can handle accusations.

Full-blown race riots?

Not so well. The Republicans in charge of this are more responsible than anyone is crediting them for being.

They will not do that to the country just to win.

Heck, maybe it’s because they don’t like John’s moderate policies enough.

But whatever, I do not think you will see any race card played by the Republicans.

Winning an election is not everything.

PARTICULARLY this year.

Either candidate is headed into a no-win first term. The problems we face? They are not about to be “turned around.”

Comment by No Obama for me | 2008-10-09 15:37:09

Annin,

I normally agree with your posts but I don’t this time, Michelle Obama is the one who said these things so why is it racist to let the country see what she is saying.

Bring on the race war, I am ready for it and so are most people in my part of the country.
We are sick of those AA who constantly play the race card and want affirmative action on everything.

Obama would have been a weather underground terrorist if he wasn’t 8 years old at the time. I mean hell - I wouldn’t come within eight feet of a guy like that and Obama went to his house in the neighborhood to raise thousands of dollars to do Ayers and Dorns bidding in the IL Senate.

Barack Obama should be run out of the Senate let alone be aloud to run for President as the Democratic Nominee. The Democrats are really sick and in need of a Doctor but even Dean cought the disease and now the party is imploading under the wire. They have no integrity left on the left.

Comment by Rob in Chicago | 2008-10-09 16:13:25

DanNY:

I don’t think that Howard Dean “caught” the disease, he’s one of the originally infected who has spread this disease. The “fix” ws in even before Barky gave his speech at the Democratic National Convention in 2004, and the speech was an integral part of the plan for Barky as “front man”. Barky’s active membership in the “New Party” of American Socialists was also a part of the plan for a takeover of the Democratic Party. See link below (I’ve tried to post this link twice, but I don’t think that the posts went through, if they did, sorry for the repetition, but this is pretty devastating stuff):

Wiley, it has to be bigger than Ayers to incite any of the MSM to cover it. They are already saying the Ayers thing is not a big deal. Apparently, the average voter agrees because Obama is still on top. They have to come up with something so damaging, like not being born in America (Berg lawsuit)because nothing else will work. Even the Corsi thing will probably be pushed under the rug. I hear the most it shows it that Obama communicated with his cousin about how to win his race in Kenya. The American people will not think that is a big deal, even if his cousin is a mass murderer.

Agreed, the MSM is already downplaying this connection and the sheeple are buying it hook line and sinker. The Corsi story has to be simple and easy to comprehend and show direct ties to a radical Muslim. If the story is complicated the sheeple will think ” So what”

Comment by jd4hill | 2008-10-09 12:11:37

I wouldn’t be so sure about what the American people are buying — I believe the recent Gallup poll showing at 11% Obie lead polled 51% Democrats — how they justified that one is beyond me. Since we have maybe 33-36% Dems in this counhtry — maybe.

Comment by jwrjr | 2008-10-09 13:29:19

33 - 36% Dems - does that account for the ones who got so disgusted with Dean et. al. that they re-registered?

Comment by Wiley | 2008-10-09 11:52:12

Patrick -
That’s my point, “They are already saying the Ayers thing is not a big deal.” If there’s something more which the MSM can’t ignore it works into the plan. This would succeed in discrediting the MSM. That in itself is literally half the battle.

I’m sure you’ve heard the rumor of a recording of Ayers and 0bama praising communism…I’m not saying I believe this is accurate.
Ayers is an admitted socialist, now evidence 0bama embraced the socialist party in Chicago… Remember, the Repubs are awfully good when it comes to this kind of tactic.

Mary Mitchell you should know is a angry racist woman who’s been especially nasty towards Gov. Palin. It’s important to try and stomach reading through at least a few of these comments because some people have gone past using the racist tag and straight into calling McCain/Palin rallys KKK rallys.

This is getting dangerous and no matter who wins or loses, I think there will be riots especially in Chicago.

She had better be a little more circumspect in her writings. She, and others like her, will be responsible for setting race relations back 20 or 30 years.

Democrats, who have soft support for Obama, are HUGELY bothered by Obama hob-nobbing with Ayers and going to church at TUCC.

This week, three democrats, who are now planning to vote for Obama, told me “Well, they may either not vote or write-in Hillary” after very short conversations about Ayers and the racism against whites at TUCC.

I’M SURE, McCain’s internal polling shows this effect. “Ayers” is not a topic which will be an overnight difference maker. It has to distill.

I would not be surprised to see continued evidence (drip, drip, drip) of Obama’s disgusting friendships/alliances. But, I would be surprised to see an explosive gamechanger (ie the “whitey” tape.)

Comment by jd4hill | 2008-10-09 12:15:17

Make sure and tell your friends writing in Hillary’s name in some states will be tabulated as a vote for Obama because the vote will simply go to the Democratic candidate– they need to check their state’s voting rules BEFORE the election.

So if they do not want to vote for him…

Comment by Maverick | 2008-10-09 12:28:04

Associations are a matter of choice. Unless you’re in prison, I thought to say but no, even there associations are a choice.

They are not an accident.

As Governor Keating says, they tell you a lot about a person. And, when they’re consistent, pervasive and life-long, they actually define who you are.

The Ayers connection is on fire. Good. Go for it. And somebody (with obvious clout) must stand up and shout in outrage for this man, BHO, whoever he may be, to release his college records.

But, also, on this theme.

Everyone lists Jeremiah Wright and Trinity but, since Obama left the church (my opinion is this is nothing more than a politically motivated “time out” not a “walk out” by any stretch), it’s mentioned but not emphasized.

The point. Associations are a choice. Not an accident.

I quote Barack Obama (from “ChicagoReader” in 1995):

“We have no shortage of moral fervor,” said Obama. “We have some wonderful preachers in town–preachers who continue to inspire me–preachers who are magnificent at articulating a vision of the world as it should be. In every church on Sunday in the African-American community we have this moral fervor; we have energy to burn. ”

In short, there are plenty of churches and plenty of pastors. In some denominations, where pastors are not regularly rotated, assigned by a governing body but, rather, are chosen congretation by congretation, many people are at a given church BECAUSE of the pastor. The pastor IS the identity of the church.

There were plenty of preachers “who [were] magnificent at articulating a vision” in Chicago.

Yes, Barack Obama (and Michelle — who has gotten very little scrutiny during this whole affair — who was actually from Chicago’s Southside and who had a Democratic precinct organizer for a dad) CHOSE this pastor. Attend that church for two decades. Had this pastor perform their wedding and baptize their children.

NOTE: Wright performed their WEDDING. That means Barack was attending that church before marriage to Michelle. Was this Michelle’s church? How did Obama come to go there. They didn’t meet there. Does Michelle have a history at Trinity that pre-dates Obama’s arrival?

The point: They chose it. It has a clear ministry. And the vitriol spewing forth from the pulpit from Wright and guests was so vile and so LOUD that you’d have to have been deaf all the way in Michigan (where apparently there are some pretty deaf people according to polls).

Calling “Time Out” to go get elected is pure theatre.

This “I didn’t know who they were” excuse for associations is laughable. You associate with people because of who they are, not in spite of it.

Keep digging. But, do NOT give this shill a free pass on Trinity. It is the spawning ground for much of what we see and hear from the fist-bumping Obama’s today.

As Joe Biden says, bless his confused soul, “Past is prologue.”

Soviet document shows Biden sold out human-rights October 9, 2008 by Ed Morrissey

According to internal Soviet Union documents from the SALT-2 negotiations in 1979, Joe Biden effectively told Soviet negotiators not to worry about American rhetoric about human-rights concerns. In fact, Biden also told the Soviets that the Senate didn’t really care about European security, but only in giving the appearance of caring about it. Vladimir Bukovsky and Pavel Stroilov parse the dispatch from the deputy head of the International Department of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union for Front Page Magazine.

Biden’s Secret Diplomacy
By Vladimir Bukovsky and Pavel Stroilov
FrontPageMagazine.com | Thursday, October 09, 2008

Here before us is a Soviet archival document,* a top secret report by a communist apparatchik who had received a delegation of US Senators led by Joseph Biden in 1979. After describing routine arms control discussions, it quotes Biden as telling the Soviets off-record that he did not really care about the persecution of Russian dissidents. He and other Senators might raise human rights issues with their Soviet counterparts, but only to be seen by the public as defenders of human rights, not to have those problems really solved. They would happily take no for an answer.

I keep saying Obama leading in the polls the markets keep tanking, big business is playing a wait and see game, Bush can do whatever he wants they are not going to take a chance with their money and Obama is President.

People that run all over the place supporting this man has no idea what if he wins can mean for this country, financially on the world scale, our security on the world scale and so many other factors that the average person does not think about.

Bad for businesses = layoffs = bad for the economy

While there are certainly examples of some grossly overpaid CEO’s, most businesses in America are not huge corporations. And the vast majority are not sleazy. We DESPERATELY need businesses to do well so that we have somewhere to work. I wish people would realize that WE ALL work for businesses. We are all in business in one way or another.

This is off topic but I thought you guys would like to see this it’s important.

Via Hillbuzz

NOTE: We received the below from a mother in Colorado who was recently polled. She describes how the poll was conducted, what questions were asked, and how her poll was differentiated (how the pollster recorded her vote). We’ve never heard from anyone who’s been polled directly before, but if this is how the polls are actually conducted and recorded, we now understand why SoetorObama did 15% worse in some states during the primaries than what he was polled as.

Dear HillBuzz,

OK, well I got polled and now I am pissed.

We just moved back to CO and I registered as an Independent. I think that is the reason I got the call.

Here is how it went - they called when my 10 month old was upset so I told them not right now. She said she just wanted a few questions and didn’t mind my son being upset. I said fine.

She NEVER asked me WHO I supported. She asked this question first -

1. Do you support lower taxes to help the economy recover. - of course, I said yes.

2. Did I support our initial ‘invasion’ of Iraq. She emphasized that this wasn’t about the surge or supporting the troops now, just did I believe we should have been there in the first place. I said No, I didn’t really think now was the time to have gone in.

At that point I asked her why she didn’t just ask me who I supported. She said that the polling company didn’t want partisanship they believed that a person’s opinion on the issues reveals who they will vote for.

So I asked her who my answers revealed I would vote for.

She said I was put in the supporting Obama category…………..

What the hell. I told her NO, I am supporting McCain. She then said that because I wanted lower taxes I fit with Obama’s economic plan…LMAO and because I didn’t really thing we should have gone into Irag that I supported Obama’s foreign policy plan……..LMAO again (I am short on A$$ right now :)

I told her the premise of the questions were false and misleading due to the fact that I did not believe Obama would lower taxes. She also didn’t ask my income bracket to verify where in his plan I fall to determine my answer. Even if you use Obama’s so called plan, if I was rich, then I would lean McCain by wanting lower taxes. I told her that Obama’s plan does not include taxes lower than McCain’s in any category.

I literally laughed at the foreign policy question. I said, first your premise is based on hindsight which is 20/20. Two respectable democrats viewed the same flawed intelligence to make their decision. Hillary and others voted to support and start the Iraq War. I think the issue isn’t Bush, the Repubs or Democrats it is the faulty intelligence that came in and the climate of fear in America at the time. However, just because I believe that Iraq was not a good idea does not lend support to Obama because you can’t change history. He wasn’t given an opportunity to vote on Iraq because he was still in the state senate. He might have voted present or yes to the war we really don’t know. He was not privy to the intelligence. He stance and record since the war began and Obama’s view has appauling. I told her to mark me down for McCain and she said she would have to discuss it with her superviser due to my answers to the questions………..

WTF….

If this is how polling is going then of course Obama is ahead. I am still pissed. I have zero faith in polling or the MSM these days.

Colorado Mom

Comment by Kristen | 2008-10-09 15:14:38

This is so interesting. When I was polled months ago I felt the questions were worded strangely to see how strongly I would really stick to my vote. They kept asking questions about how I felt about McCain doing this or that or voting this way or that way. But none of the questions were about Obama. He had an accent and I could barely understand him sometimes and had to have him repeat his questions several times. Not sure who conducted the poll but with 4 kids running around here I didn’t care to stick around and ask a lot of questions. But I did want to stay on long enough for them to see I would never change my vote. I find it strange that this poller wasn’t asked directly who she was voting for.

Zogby at it again:
Pollster: Don’t believe the Dem hype
By Joe Dwinell & Jessica Fargen

The presidential race is still too close to call and could come down to the very last weekend before voters decide if they like or distrust Barack Obama, a national pollster predicts.

“I don’t think Obama has closed the deal yet,” pollster John Zogby told the Herald yesterday.

Zogby’s latest poll, released yesterday in conjunction with C-Span and Reuters, shows Obama and John McCain in a statistical dead heat, with the Illinois Democrat up 48-45 percent.

Zogby said the race mirrors the 1980 election, when voters didn’t embrace Ronald Reagan over then-President Jimmy Carter until just days before the election.

“The Sunday before the election the dam burst,” Zogby said of the 1980 tilt. “That’s when voters determined they were comfortable with Reagan.”

Wonder if Zogby knows about the 30,000 non-existent people from Indianapolis that are registered to vote? That might I add the NYT wants to be allowed to vote. ;)

Comment by Shiloh | 2008-10-09 11:57:09

Some polls are just reflecting on how they want to scare us off on thinking that Obama has won and that we shouldn’t waste our time on voting. There are polls out that are showing once again that this race is coming to a tie.

I know the polls are up for BO, but I don’t necessarily trust the polls. Remember when even Bush thought Kerry would win on election day because the polls were saying he was winning. Well, we all know how that turned out. Polls can’t really be trusted.

Obama is the front man for so many bad people (including the leaders of the New Democratic Party, it makes the head swim. It’s the very troubling thing about Obama. He isn’t fit to be president, so all these rival factions will be jockeying to control the country during his administration–just like George W. Bush. We all know how that turned out.

‘Hope’ for the worst:
We have been saying for six months that the political environment has favored the Democrats significantly, but it took a near global financial meltdown for things to finally reach the tipping point. The economic situation has virtually ended John McCain’s presidential aspirations and no amount of tactical maneuvering in the final 29 days is likely to change that equation.
http://www.pollster.com/blogs/29_days_to_go_and_a_transforme.php

Thank lucifer personally bankruptcies are skyrocketing, the housing market collapsed, the stock market tanked, consumers are scared to death of what the future brings cause it’s all good for obama. The worse off Americans are the better obama does. What’s that about? What nobody seems to be able explain is why all the bad economic news is good for obama. Why? The ‘people are looking for change’ meme doesn’t work for me. Wouldn’t people be looking for someone they feel is qualified to fix the mess? What about obama would make anyone think he was qualified to fix the current mess? How about the horrible personal economic situation for a lot people, along with the scary market collapse, has frightened people to the point of absurdity?

Comment by McHope | 2008-10-09 12:16:52

Just another MSM propaganda piece. Obama not only is incapable of fixing the economy, he has a large hand in causing the crisis it is now facing.
By many accounts, McCain won on the economy during the debate. Adopting the mortgage phase of Hillary’s plan was the right thing to do.People will see McCain’s competency and Obama’s ‘phoning it in’.

As someone else posted, it would be interesting to see how or if the market would react if McCain moves ahead in the polls.

Comment by hadenough | 2008-10-09 12:57:39

Yeah it looks like mccain is adopting at least in part Hillary’s HOLC plan. Hillary’s speech and plan were pretty much ignored by the “liberal media” but praised by some smart people. obama is now trashing it endlessly. According to Krugman obama has ‘poisoned the healthcare well.’ Now it looks like obama wants to make sure the bailout fails.

Anyone can see that Bobo is either a fool or a liar. Either he sat in a church for 20 years without realizing that the preacher is a racist follower of Afrocentrism and black liberation theology, or he lied about it. Either he was involved with Ayers for years without realizing he and his wife are unrepentent terrorist bombers, or he lied. Obviously, no one can truly believe that BO was oblivious to Wright’s rhetoric or that he actually believed that the Ayers much-older children went to school with his. This is a man who says whatever is expedient at the moment. His values are the opposite of most Americans’. He espouses victimhood for minorities–including himself–and supports gun control, infanticide, and sex ed for kindergarteners. Anyone who votes for him either AGREES with the far-left cultural agenda or REFUSES to see the facts!! True Republicans, Reagan Democrats, and PUMAs will not cast a ballot for such a person. No religiously conservative Christian, Jew, or Moslem will. And the pro-Bobo protests of Hollywood, the far-left media, the NAACP, and the ACLU should lose him millions of potential votes! I don’t see how he can get enough votes to carry any state in the union! There has got to be something screwy about the polls!

Comment by AnninCA | 2008-10-09 12:20:04

I have lots of friends who are voting Obama. I’m pretty sure, in So. Cal., the deal is this. It makes them feel very good to vote for an AA candidate. The “do-good” factor. Palin’s personal anti-abortion choice makes them very nervous. Bush did a lot of harm in that regard, so it’s hard for them to separate her personal from her political. And finally, they are a bit racist and don’t know it. They think an AA guy has to lie to win.

That’s my best guess. In short, they are giving him a pass. He’s not being held to the same standards a white candidate will be.

I’m in California too, Ann.

I’ve been remarking to people that a fair number of Dems are personally opposed to abortion, including Harry Reid, the Senate Majority Leader. Most folks are not knowledgeable about the actual views held by the leaders, and knowing more may level the field a bit, I hope.

I think what we need to do is somehow convince people that they need to talk about the Annenberg project. And instead of focusing on Ayres (that could be a by-product), focus on Obama’s executive experience. He ran this program into the ground and blew $110 million in the process. To me, past is prologue in how he will manage a budget.
Please listen to the podcast I attached. It is the best information I have got on Barach Obama. i could listen to CNN for a year and never obtain this much info that I did in this one podcast. It also reveals the way the Obama Campaign has tried to stifle free speech.
I have sent this info to about 300 people so far. But it needs to go to more — the media needs to talk about this and the only way they will is if we the people DEMAND that they talk about it. The media needs to cover B.O.’s only executive experience and all of the failures associated with it.

We need to act and we need to act now. Time is slipping away.

Perhaps people are looking past the hype to the corruption and negativity Obama really brings to the scenario.

Why can’t the Repugs., PUMAS, and all good Americans ‘call out’ the media on its bias? Americans need to start protesting in a huge way at the MSMS’s aiding and abetting a ‘coup’ by Obama and his thugs on the U.S. Government; why else does the rest of the world want Obama to be U.S. President but to try control this country and ‘make it pay’ for all actual and perceived bad deeds (Osama Bn Laden predicted that he would destroy America from within)! This requires a revolutionary mindset on the part of all who DO NOT WANT THE TREASONOUS and EVIL OBAMA TO BE IN CHARGE OF THIS GREAT COUNTRY! WAKE UP AMERICA!

I think I remember reading once, in a lawsuit that there were experts who could look at several samples of writing (books or articles, for example); look at the style, word usage and such & determine within a % range, if they were written by the same person or plagerized. What kind of expert is this? And it would be interesting for that person to read the writings of Obama and Ayers and give an opinion as to if they were written or influenced by the same person and to what degree.

I think Ayers wrote the book. Obama’s early poetry was just horrible. I wrote better poetry in preschool.

Which is it, O Great Defenders of the Faith? How will you characterize Sen. Obama: radical “stooge” or complicit in the dealings of Big (real estate financing) Business?

Ayers and Dohrn are hip deep in the MDS, (Movement for a Democratic Society.)
The MDS board includes representatives from three of US’s most influential (and pro-Obama) Marxist organisations, Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), the Communist Party USA (CPUSA)and Committees of Correspondence for Democracy and Socialism (CCDS), plus many former members of Students for a Democratic Society and its terrorist splinter the Weather Underground.

With people of feeble mind, like you, no wonder barky has gotten so far.

Better catch up on your reading. You need to be informed or be a participant in Americas undoing.

obama is the front man, he has been for a very long time. This has been set up for him since the early 1980’s. Michelle and Dohrn have connections that go back a long time.

Finally I look forward to michelle and barack being called out on their lies, in front of 70-80 million people on TV this next week. Barky stupidly challenged McCain to “say these things to me personally”. Walked right into McCAins trap, LOL.

you want barky as CIC? He doesn’t even know what he’s talking about. What, is he going to call a foreign leader racist when barky is called out on his lack of knowledge and experience????

I agree with you. What I think has been consistent is his alignment with the pockets.

It’s money.

When you’re a nice-looking AA guy with a Harvard degree who has decided politics is the right course, then I think you join Trinity church, align yourself with the AA activists initially. Get them to prime the pump.

But his pattern is to take no stand. He consistently avoided that in Illinois. He’s “lost” his own records, so you can’t even trace him.

He’s like the guy who walks on the beach with a broom, to make sure he leaves no tracks.

That’s raw political ambition. A lot of people see that as “smart.”

I can see their angle.

I also think that means that his pattern is open to criticism.

This is a pivotal moment in time, and I want a transparent, up-front guy. I’ll take no agreeing with him on every issue. I just want to know the truth.

I do not think we can afford the broom-sweeper type.

It’s too dangerous.

Since this is an open thread, I wanted to put this info out there on the WWW just because it needs to be known the kind of minutia that the DNC is using in it’s slimy little campaign. What is below is a series of emails. At the bottom was one forwarded by the Florida Dem’s, then it was forwarded to me by a city commissioner, and I responded and also responded to the initial writer (FL Dems guy). How low!

Mr. Wilczewski:

I was forwarded your email and below is my response to the city commissioner who forwarded it to me, just fyi.

However my point in writing you is to let you now that this is rather disingenuous and downright smarmy of you. It’s like this outrageous bailout. It was a problem created by committee - by both sides of the aisle in congress over many many years. And the DEMS Pelosi and Reid are the ones who pushed, arm-twisted and used fear tactics to get the bill passed to bail out their buddies on Wall Street and to bail out Bush.

I’m disgusted with ALL politicians right now and for you to send such a small-minded, misleading email is really just another illustration as to why I left the Democratic Party a few months back, after being a member for 35 years.

The FL Dem Party and the DNC continue to disappoint and I’m done with the whole mess of you. It is time to see some integrity and the DNC and FL DEMS are no better than the Bush gang. Axelrod is just a left-leaning version of Rove. The whole mess of you people stink like week-old fish on a pier.

I’ve put your email on a few boards so it will indeed be getting out as the manner in which the FL Dems operate. Shabby, really.

Mr. Commissioner:

As you well know, a mayor doesn’t always have control over all that happens in their town, thank goodness. If our mayor had control over more, this place would be a friggin’ nightmare. He’s done enough damage without his being blamed for ALL the childish crap that happens around here.

So it’s hard to place blame for something that happened in a town during a mayor’s tenure. Can we blame our mayor for the attacks by the coaches and their father at the ball field the other day? Hardly. Can we blame him for bad behavior of the parking enforcement persons that were reported a few month back? Doubtful. Can we blame him for the noise from the bikers? Nope. Can we blame him for allowing a builder to illegally sell those transient rental licenses? (Well, maybe.)

As much as I’d like to blame ALL the bad on our worthless Mayor, he’s a part of a ‘team’ and the entire team shares responsibility. So blaming Palen for something that was a city policy isn’t logical.

In a message dated 10/9/2008 8:17:38 AM Eastern Daylight Time, commissioner@bellsouth.net writes:
I have no problem with conservatism, though it is obviously not my philosophy. But THIS is unconscionable!

Team:

We had to forward this article in today’s Boston Globe to you. Incredible. Please feel free to forward it along.

Wasilla made rape victims pay

October 1, 2008

ONE QUESTION that Sarah Palin should answer is why, during her tenure as mayor of Wasilla, the town started charging rape victims or their insurers for hospital emergency-room rape kits and examinations.

The policy so outraged the Alaska Legislature that in 2000 it passed unanimously a bill forbidding such fees. But Palin has never explained why, under her leadership, the town stopped picking up the cost of the swabs, specimen containers, and tests.

A spokeswoman for Palin wrote to USA Today that Palin “does not believe, nor has she ever believed, that rape victims should have to pay for an evidence-gathering test.” But that was the practice in Wasilla while she was mayor.

If Palin were like most vice-presidential nominees of the past, reporters would have long since had a chance to quiz her on this subject, and many others. So far, though, the McCain campaign team has treated her as though she were in the witness protection program, permitting just three interviews with television personalities and no open-ended press conferences.

After the Alaska Legislature banned the fees, Palin’s handpicked police chief, Charlie Fannon, complained that the state’s action would force the town to spend $5,000 to $14,000 a year to cover the costs. “I just don’t want to see any more burden put on the taxpayer,” Fannon said.

But the policy on rape kits may have had less to do with easing the burden on taxpayers and more to do with Palin’s position on abortion. She has said she opposes it even in cases of rape or incest.

Generally, victims of sexual assault have the option of an emergency contraception pill, which some opponents of abortion consider tantamount to abortion itself. Does Palin support the decision two years ago of the US Food and Drug Administration to allow over-the-counter sales of emergency contraception pills?

Whether the fee-for-kits policy reflected Palin’s budgetary zeal or her extreme view on abortion, voters deserve to know. As Alaska’s governor in 2000, Tony Knowles, put it: “We would never bill the victim of a burglary for finger-printing and photographing the crime scene, or for the cost of gathering other evidence.”

But in Wasilla they would, if the crime was rape.

fannie freddie and the radicals go together numbnuts above.
It is a socialistic agenda. ACORN a left wing radical group obama defended to force citi-bank to gave them a loan they could not and eventually did not pay.
Affordable housing became a scam for guys like Barry and Bill Ayer and Tony Rezko.
Government laws to force and allow laws to give bad loans is social tampering to begin with.
Obama is not the one lining up radicals. THEY LINED HIM UP AND YOUR DUMBASS IS READY TO TAKE THE FALL FOR YOUR RIGHTS AND FREEDOM AS WE KNOW IT.
Think Castro or Chavez. Idols of ayers and Odinga’s.
Communists like Frank Marshall Davis. Radicals like Al-Monsour. Farrakhan, who obama adresses as Minister Farrakhan when speaking of him.
Obama who went to the million man march that Rev. Wright helped organize with Louie X.
Khalidi who is a member of the PLO, designated terror group. Obama threw him a going away party and a huge toast lamenting about his great mind with vigor.
It is all there, not tangential relationships. Friends and partners. Not guilt by associaton.
It is guilt by participation.
obama spokesman on tv admitted today of obama giving near a million dollars to and acorn group.
Obama helped train them in the vein of Alinsky the communist, now they are comitting fraud in every state they possibly can.
You love it you big dummy.

My problem with Obama’s relationship are these:

(1) Why did he attempt to marginalize his relationship with Ayers by saying “He is just a man who lives on my street . . .” or words to that effect during the debates in answer to Hillary’s query about the matter. Obama was obviously aware of the sensitivity of that issue otherwise why did he try to lie or mislead? Now we know that Ayers picked him to head the Annenberg funds tp be dispensed for education with the purpose of “radicalizing” the education of young students.

(2) How did he get to be accepted at Harvard considering that he did not have outstanding academic credentials from Columbia? Who sponsored and financed him?

(3) Is he really an American citizen? Why wouldn’t he release his birth certificate? How did he get to travel to Pakistan at a time where there was a U.S.govt ban? There are reports that he travelled on an Indonesian passport. Isn’t that proof that he does not have U.S. citizenship or that he has waived his U.S. citizenship by acquiring a foreign passport?

These to me are very important issues because it speaks to the Character of this person who might become president of the U.S. It makes me doubt his word; his sense of honor which seems to be totally absent. THEREFORE, I cannot vote for him on the basis of his stated agenda now, because he has changed his stand on several issues. I cannot trust him to deliver on his promises.

My guesses:

1. Because he knows the association is problematic.

2. Because ‘Quotas’ were big back in the old days, because Harvard was bright white and Protestant, by and large, back then. Harvard went for “a look” and “a type”–brains didn’t matter so much as their fitting a surface profile. They needed “x” number of people who weren’t WASPs, so they went out and recruited them. Obama was one. Who recommended him? That’s a question that deserves an answer.

As for BRAINS, the ‘quotas’ had to be smarter than the ‘legacies’ like MBA Bush, but not by much, apparently. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have accepted Alberto “The Moron” Gozales, either–now there’s a guy with absolutely ZERO judgment and reasoning skills–a real “walking talking indictment” vis a vis the value of a Harvard Law degree.

3. He’s a citizen. I think his mom changed his name to Barry Soetoro when she was madly in love with Lolo. She probably helped him change it back after the bloom was off the Lolo rose. That’s why there’s all this secrecy about his original BC–they would have sealed the old one and reissued a new one with his Soetoro name on it. The only birth certificate we peons are allowed to see is a 2001 version, not the original one that would have been xeroxed out of a big book at the Vital Statistics Office, with a big fat raised seal on it. Who knows, maybe Grandma had that copy–probably why she’s hidden away in her little apartment, and BO went to see her for, what, a lousy hour, during his vacation?

actually for 2, He got into Harvard as a legacy, since BHO Sr. went there. As for who paid, apparently the Saudis helped.

I’m waiting for an ACORN video next from the McCain campaign. I saw an interview about this last week. Yah, I know, it’s from Blackwell, but still - lots of facts and figures that are hard to deny:

ATTENTION McCAIN Campaign:

1) Call out the media on their ‘hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil’ stance towards The Precious. List Annenberg, Ayers, Fannie and Freddie, Rezko.

2) Definitely use the shot of Ayers standing on the flag. Pan slowly upward or downward (head to toe and vice-versa), silently with ‘America the beautiful’ instrumental in the back. Also show the words of the UNREPENTED terroists saying ‘he’d wished he’d could have bombed more.

3) This housing bailout separates the politician from the American who puts country and its people first. Bring out the stark differences. Obama is saying to not reward for bad behavior (sic). But there were predatory lenders and easy money. Obama is pointing fingers while you Senator McCain are offering solutions. Clearly point out the differences which is best done with a voice-over but listed written position on the need to unclog the credit markets first.

Fight everyday!

One of my first comments on the primary was to wonder who was surfing Obama to power.

In the overriding zeal of your advocacy you mistake the used for the user. Obama used these people in order to gain a foothold in Chicago politics and to combat the stigma there of being too white. When they proved a hindrance, he discarded them.

Anyone reading this, especially anyone vetting the reliability of Berg, cannot help from noting the juxtaposition. Anyone concerned about security will discount zeal in favor of rationality.

I am still curious about those who consider Obama as their useful idiot.

Johnson, clean up your shop.

Personally, I don’t think Obama is very smart. He seems to kind of doof along like Bush. I don’t think he has street smarts either, for that matter.

I fear it’s (the Ayers/Obama connection) worse than any of us realize. I have absolutely no way of substantiating any of the rumors out there, but I wonder why no one is talking from Obama’s missing years at Columbia in NY?

Some things I’ve heard:

-Obama was introduced to Ayers by his communist childhood mentor Frank in 1981. Supposedly Frank was instrumental in getting Barack to transfer from Occidental to Columbia in NY to be near Ayers. He was a lost teeanger at the time that needed guidance. His grades at Occidental were not good.

-He took 4 years to get through what should have been a 2-yr. program at Columbia to finish his undergrad degree. Where did he live in NY? Who were his friends? How did he pay for housing, etc.? These are lost years that no one can find any info. on.

-This is the really weird part. Supposedly Barack lived quite the “bi” lifestyle in NY, including a physical relationship with Bill Ayers. If so, again where are the witnesses to his time in NY?

-Bill Ayers supposedly helped Barack with money from that point on. He set him up in Chicago after graduation and the rest is history.

If an 1/8 of this is true, it scares me to death what will happen to this country if Barack is elected.

I am tired of hearing this stuff about bringing out the big guns. What more do we have to bring out???????—the record on Obama that is out there to me is so damning and so preposterous as the CV for POTUS that it is beyond belief that Obama is in this race and competitive. I don’t think it is McCain’s fault that things are where they are or Fox’s fault or this blog’s fault. It is the fault of people who are being presented with damaging information and are ignoring it, damning the messenger, throwing all of us into a giant black hole. It is raging stupidity. We will pay for this the way we have paid for GBush II, the Iraq war, cheap undeserved mortgages, the dot.com bubble, the subprime bubble and all the bubble brains who sold it and all those who bought it. We have become a nation of bubble brains.

Say, even Michelle Obama says Barry should have known, after all he was all about Education Policy from the day he shot out of his Mama lower:
from Larry King Interview:

“KING: All right. She said that your husband pals around with terrorists. And she’s referring to William Ayers, I guess.

Do you know William Ayers?

M. OBAMA: Yes, yes, yes. Barack served on the board of the Annenberg Challenge with Bill Ayers and –

KING: That was started by the Annenberg family, right?

M. OBAMA: Absolutely. And Mrs. Annenberg, in fact, endorsed John McCain. So, I don’t know anyone in Chicago who’s heavily involved in education policy who doesn’t know Bill Ayers.”

Sen Obama Come out, come clean where ever you are…

Comment by typewriterstreaming | 2008-10-09 15:10:43

Gee, maybe what Michelle was saying is “That’s not
the Barrack I knew”….

Comment by Thinker | 2008-10-09 15:26:52

whoa.

Maybe Michelle will dump Barack before he dumps her. He has no loyalty.

Axelrod said that Obama didn’t know about Ayers, and now Michelle says she doesn’t know how anyone involved in Chicago education (which Barack was) could not know about him!!!

This is major.

I read in one of those tabloids that Michelle has political goals of her own so she might want to try and jump from the Titanic very soon…

AnninCA;
NOT AA!!
7x as much Arab as African. The other 8/16 is Caucasian, of course.

Brought up Indonesian, then rich white. Wears AA “identity” as a cloak of political convenience.

Comment by Glen D | 2008-10-10 10:26:19

You misinformed dork. Kenya (where Obama’s father was born) is only 1% non-african which includes a small arab population. How does Obama end being 7 to one arab to african. Go ahead. Say it 100 times and then maybe it will be true.

Another Ayers link: he ghostwrote “Dreams of My Father” for Oblabla, who, by what little evidence exists, is actually a clumsy and trite writer.

I’m not from the USA but read these comments with great interest. I see common thread here and on other sites. Republicans’ comments are ofter mean spirited, racist and in varying shades of not quite true. You people seem to think that if you say it enough, anything is true.
A good example are the people talking about Corsi. What proof does he have? Obama’s mother is american. Where he was born is irrelevant.
“The requirements for citizenship and the very definition thereof have changed since the Constitution was ratified in 1788. Congress first recognized the citizenship of children born to U.S. parents overseas on March 26, 1790, under the first naturalization law: “And the children of citizens of the United States that may be born beyond sea, or outside the limits of the United States, shall be considered as natural born citizens.” (See ref. for the Act of 1795″
Why don’t conservatives talk about issues? Why is everything personal with you guys?

both candidates suck. Osama sounds like something that is too good to be true. He will overpromise and surely underdeliver. McCain is not up to this task and his nature hater Palin is simply an idiot. Ron Paul was the answer. I am sad to say I think Osama will win and we will slowly turn to communism/socialism.

Comment by imustprotest | 2008-10-12 11:06:45

Palin is not a nature hater nor an idiot. Go back for some new talking points.
