“Obama & Friends: Judge Not?”
By Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy on October 12, 2008 at 4:20 PM in Annenberg Chicago Challenge, Bamboozling, Barack Obama, Bill Ayers, Chicago politics, Hillary Clinton, John McCain, North Carolina, Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr., Tony Rezko
The following was in my local paper this morning, and I wanted to share:
Obama & Friends: Judge Not?, By Charles Krauthammer
Friday, October 10, 2008; A19
Convicted felon Tony Rezko. Unrepentant terrorist Bill Ayers. And the race-baiting Rev. Jeremiah Wright. It is hard to think of any presidential candidate before Barack Obama sporting associations with three more execrable characters. Yet let the McCain campaign raise the issue, and the mainstream media begin fulminating about dirty campaigning tinged with racism and McCarthyite guilt by association.
[Associations] provide a significant insight into character. They are particularly relevant in relation to a potential president as new, unknown, opaque and self-contained as Obama. With the economy overshadowing everything, it may be too late politically. … But that does not make it, as conventional wisdom holds, in any way illegitimate.
[McCain] should months ago have begun challenging Obama’s associations, before the economic meltdown allowed the Obama campaign (and the mainstream media, which is to say the same thing) to dismiss the charges as an act of desperation by the trailing candidate.
McCain had [a chance] when the North Carolina Republican Party ran a gubernatorial campaign ad that [linked] Obama with Jeremiah Wright. The ad was duly denounced by the New York Times and other deep thinkers as racist.
This was patently absurd. Racism is treating people differently and invidiously on the basis of race. Had any white presidential candidate had a close 20-year association with a white preacher overtly spreading race hatred from the pulpit, that candidate would have been not just universally denounced and deemed unfit for office but written out of polite society entirely.
Nonetheless, John McCain … with his overflowing sense of personal rectitude, joined the braying mob in denouncing that perfectly legitimate ad, saying it had no place in any campaign. In doing so, McCain unilaterally disarmed himself, rendering off-limits Obama’s associations, an issue that even Hillary Clinton addressed more than once.
Obama’s political career was launched with Ayers giving him a fundraiser in his living room. If a Republican candidate had launched his political career at the home of an abortion-clinic bomber — even a repentant one — he would not have been able to run for dogcatcher in Podunk. And Ayers shows no remorse. His only regret is that he “didn’t do enough.”
[...]
[These associations] tell us two important things about Obama.
First, his cynicism and ruthlessness. He found these men useful, and use them he did. Would you attend a church whose pastor was spreading racial animosity from the pulpit? Would you even shake hands with — let alone serve on two boards with — an unrepentant terrorist, whether he bombed U.S. military installations or abortion clinics?
Most Americans would not, on the grounds of sheer indecency. Yet Obama did, if not out of conviction then out of expediency. He was a young man on the make, an unknown outsider working his way into Chicago politics. He played the game with everyone, without qualms and with obvious success.
Obama is not the first politician to rise through a corrupt political machine. But he is one of the rare few to then have the audacity to present himself as a transcendent healer, hovering above and bringing redemption to the “old politics” — of the kind he had enthusiastically embraced in Chicago in the service of his own ambition.
Second, and even more disturbing than the cynicism, is the window these associations give on Obama’s core beliefs. He doesn’t share the Rev. Wright’s poisonous views of race nor Ayers’s views, past and present, about the evil that is American society. But Obama clearly did not consider these views beyond the pale. For many years he swam easily and without protest in that fetid pond.
Until now. Today, on the threshold of the presidency, Obama concedes the odiousness of these associations, which is why he has severed them. But for the years in which he sat in Wright’s pews and shared common purpose on boards with Ayers, Obama considered them a legitimate, indeed unremarkable, part of social discourse.
[...]
[Obama's] character remains highly suspect. There is a difference between temperament and character. Equanimity is a virtue. Tolerance of the obscene is not.
letters@charleskrauthammer.com
Big surprise, but I just do not GET this claim that Obama has a “First-Class temperament.” I have written about this before - the NY Times claimed he was “even-keeled.” Even Bill Hemmer made that claim the other day on Fox News. Have they not been WATCHING him? Have they not seen how FAST he rises to anger?? They are always harping on McCain’s “famous” temper, of which I have seen blessed little, while Obama throws temper tantrums whenever something doesn’t go his way. Whatever. Besides that crapola, this article says what MANY of us have been saying: IT IS ALL ABOUT CHARACTER, and who Obama’s close friends are says a LOT about his, and none of it good. It’s a shame no one bothered to look at him during the Primaries…Oh, wait - whenever they did, they were called “Racists,” just like Rep. John “BACKSTABBER” Lewis did to John McCain yesterday, equating him to George Wallace. That is way, way beyond the pale. And simply unacceptable.
Anywho - better late than never, I reckon. I hope people will actually pay attention. We’ve been saying this for MONTHS - but 3 weeks before the election works, too…

Yes, better late than never.
McCain/Palin ‘08
Not late for the GOP. Late for us PUMAs.
Seems like perfect timing for the GOP as they drive their base, PUMAs and indy’s to the polls in record numbers.
Hey if Soetor-Obama wins…he will now set the bar for presidential candidates…there will be no end..with the quality and loyality of any candidate….
If he wins is future worry anxiety and counterproductive IMO.
Well that’s true but, we saw this coming during the Dem primaries, I wish the silly Repubs realized it that they blew it-when they voted for Soetoro! We could have had Hillary…than again the corrupt DNC played a role in this mess. We have evry right to worry and sound the consequences of a n Soetoro win! Yet i am predicting that he loses..I remenber the MSM and their rigged polls from the primaries, predicting an Soetoro win, Clinton kicked his ass into the gutter..South Dakato, way back, New Hampshire, Outspend in Penns, 4 to 1, polls, Soetoro catching up, single didgits, she wiped his ass by 10 points…So I’m predicting..
For months and months. All it got me was being called a racist and a republican and obamazoids hacking my internet access. If this scumbag, conman manages to bamboozle, hoodwink his way into the White House America is going to deserve everything that happens.
This looks appropriate to the thread?

PUMAs Needed: Big Story May Be on Way About Ayers-Obama But Help Needed
A reporter at a major media organization (not Fox) is sitting on a story that rubbishes the “guy from the neighborhood” claim.
But he’s either unwilling to run it himself, as he will basically call Obama a straight-up liar, or else his organization is killing the story by ever-growing demands of proof.
So:
I’ve been asked to solicit the collective brain trust of the PUMAs for information.
Specifically, if you are in Obama’s neighborhood in Chicago, or know someone who is, and know details of the Obama-Ayers relationship, contact me.
To really be helpful you’d have to go on the record, probably, but if you don’t want to, blind stuff will help too.
Don’t fish me if you’re an Obot. I’m not going to give up the details of the story to anyone; I’m going to wait for them to say the key fact.
Hopefully if someone knows what I’m talking about, and can go on the record about it, we can overcome this guy’s forbearance (or forbiddance) and get the story out.
But we probably need one more on the record source to do so.
If you guys have anything else, now would be the time to say so.
I don’t know who it is looking for this info but how do we know they are not an Obot themselves trying to bury it? Wouldn’t it be wiser to figure a way to get the info directly to the journalist?
Ace of spades is no obot…trust me.
you have my word on it.
I still say its weird that Soetoro has surrounded himself with left-wing nuts who swing both ways, sexually? Nothing against being gay, but this appears very negative for our political discourse to have this as a potential distraction, especially during this time of 100% focus on our country’s problems..
Ace of Spades is a conservative site, they have made several shout outs to PUMAs. From their perspective they are trying to drag McCain across the finish line any way they can.
How can someone who is controlling, narcissistic, angry and defensive have a “first class temperament?” Sometimes I wonder about some of the writers I used to think were a cut above.
You and me both, Jewel. It really boggles my mind. It’s like the MSM defining Bush as “charming.’ Since when did smug arrogance equate to CHARM?? But that’s their meme abt Obama - I guess they have decided to believe what they hear, not what they see…
Listen to Obama’s voice in each debate - his voice gets tense, the pitch goes up, and he sounds really defensive. In short, he sounds stressed out by each question. He is not reassuring. At all.
Take a look at these ‘progressive’ NOT, Obama supporters.

Its not hard to do.
Hail Mary Krauthhammer editorial
Krauthammer bought into Obama’s projected superficial trait inference of McCain as “erratic” and “desperate” over his handling of he financial crisis. He’s just putting the pieces together more slowly than we would.
Galt I think I understand but could you give me an example using a longer address, maybe women voters above?
OK.

wow. do we really need another reason to vote against obama?
OMG - you should send it to Sean Hannity
And yet…
…here I was thinking nothing could surprise me anymore - then along comes my “Media Matters Weekly Update” titled…wait for it:
The media’s enduring pro-McCain double standard
I kid you not. I thought I had unsubscribed from that sucker months ago - guess I gotta do it again.
and just think, Perry Logan Holds Media Matters up as the be all and end of of integrity and polling honesty.
Hey, yeah, where IS Perry today? I kind of miss his blathering.
If the disingenuous Obama wins with ACORN Freddy Mac,Fannie May,Pelosi,Reid,Dean,Brazile and his Idea of change(revenge) or socialism(payback) it surely will be the beginning end of super power status for the US. Hillary should stand up to this fraud and put country first. Hillary is so the right person for the job. How did we get to this point.
given that obama refuses to release 90% of records pertaining to his life, the voters really have no choice but to make a decision about who he is based on his personal associations. it looks to me like the picture is pretty clear; obama is way outside of mainstream america, and i really don’t want him and his crooked, america-hating chicago friends in charge of this country.
Good post. That angle of thinking should be promoted more.
You’ll find plenty of Video, Audio, Articles, Op-Ed Columns, Blogs & Web Sites EXPOSING Obama for the FRAUD that he is at http://www.zer0bama.com.

Red hot OT from Mac!
For Immediate Release
October 11, 2008
Statement By John McCain
ARLINGTON, VA — U.S. Senator John McCain today issued the following statement:
“Congressman John Lewis’ comments represent a character attack against Governor Sarah Palin and me that is shocking and beyond the pale. The notion that legitimate criticism of Senator Obama’s record and positions could be compared to Governor George Wallace, his segregationist policies and the violence he provoked is unacceptable and has no place in this campaign. I am saddened that John Lewis, a man I’ve always admired, would make such a brazen and baseless attack on my character and the character of the thousands of hardworking Americans who come to our events to cheer for the kind of reform that will put America on the right track.
“I call on Senator Obama to immediately and personally repudiate these outrageous and divisive comments that are so clearly designed to shut down debate 24 days before the election. Our country must return to the important debate about the path forward for America.”
The MSM wants Bobo in, and they will tell any lie, however absurd. They’ve sold a lot of people on the assumption that he will win, when any amount of common knowledge should tell folks that a man with his weighty baggage will not pass muster with the American voters. And who is his opponent? A well-known, moderate war hero. Many of my co-workers and friends worry that all these other people–not them or their families–are going to stream to the polls and put a man into office who is wrecking the stock market and plans to entangle us in more foreign affairs and spend more recklessly than W! We’re being fed the platitude that, in hard economic times, the incumbent party always loses. So there. Yet there are other factors. Someone on this site mentioned that Gallup reports that 80% of contactees won’t take their polls this year (when it’s usually 40-50%). People don’t want to discuss a candidate who brings forth racism charges and whose minions get in your face or possibly will vandalize your car. And you think most of them are not fed up with vilification and threats of reprisals (if Bobo wins or if he doesn’t!), more thoughtless federal spending, and a market crash because he frightens capitalists with his Marxist leanings? In a voting booth, no one can hear you silently scream “No way!” as you mark McCain/Palin!
heh heh; i take consolation in knowing that at least out here in western south dakota i can turn the tv off for the next 4 years and pretend the chicago thug-in-chief doesn’t exist.
BREAKING NEWS: Palin launched her political career at the home of domestic terrorist Eric Rudolph.
Oh wait……it was Obama, not Palin….and it was Bill Ayers, not Eric Rudolph.
Never mind…….
ha ha. the obamanazis and their media whores would have a field day. the analogy is exactly correct.
Scene 1: Mom and Dad pulling a sled carrying their two small children through the snow from door to door launching Sarah’s career.
Scene 2: Posh “coffee” at the home of unrepentant terrorists launching the career of BO.
Ask anyone you know if they’ve ever known ANYONE who has blown up a building.
This mythology about Obama’s cool, even-keeled demeanor is designed to convey his leadership. Remember how the media used to say Bush was steady? What Bush & Obama are really saying by their demeanor is they dn give a flying fig about you & me.
This columnist is simply conveying that Obama, in fact, has no core beliefs. His only interest is in muddying the waters so much that people don’t know up from down about him.The smears(and they really are here) about McCain is a recognition by Obama & company that Ayers and Acorn are hurting him. For three weeks all we heard about is the economy and with that Obama’s numbers skyrocketed. Too bad the dow hasn’t as the credit feeze has gone global! Why do you think the report on Palin came out Friday? Even though her ex- bro-in law is a s- bag they had to have his buddies get in the news that Sarah had”abused her power”! I mean abusing one’s power by not doing something. Just rich.
We’re gonna see deflection, racist cries, packing of McCain rallies with trained agitators(remember in Miami in 2000 where the riot ensued while the re-count occurred-all paid agitators) over the next 3 weeks.Anything to try to destroy McCain’s character as he did to Hillary. This guy will stop at nothing, will use anyone in service of his ambition. The media is only about money and is conversant in Obama’s corrupt ways. They service it and engage in it themselves.
We’ll see how tough the GOP is. I have a feeling they won’t be sitting on their hands and will let The Precious waltz into the whitehouse.
and will NOT let The Precious waltz into the whitehouse that is.
Ok, I can agree with this..because during the Jackson-Jefferson dinner in Iowa, when that B***H, Pelosi, MCed the event! SOetoro bussed in hundreds to cheer him on and to yell out words of Love, this was similar in other Dem primaries, except they bullied and stole causus votes from Clinton supporters. Look, repubs did a major mistake when they crossed over and voted for the phoney messiah.
Steve
I was at the Iowa JJ Dinner as well, and caught about a dozen male OBots lying about being from Iowa State, an institution I know well. Press and TV also downplayed the number of HRC fans in attendance, compared to OBots. As a precint official, I knew we were in for a battle that night.
BO should have been dumped by the Dems after his long-term association with Wright was revealed, but the media bent over backward to say Wright ain’t so bad, and BO didn’t know him that well. Talk about making every excuse possible for poor judgment. They did the exact same things with Ayers, and ignored Rezko entirely, even when that big old BO mansion is sitting there as evidence of their intimate association.
how ludacris the accusations of racism are:
the polls (mostly by corpmedia in the tank for BO) tell us he is way ahead, so far ahead in fact the race is over.
so obviously there is no racism whatsoever, unless we look at the AA figures for BO.
imagine what they’d be calling us if BO was actually behind in the race! which, btw, he probably is, given the corruption of the polls.
you have to laugh.
KHammer said:
Why oh why do people give Obama this benefit of the doubt? No one has any idea what Obama really thinks because Obama has carefully left no historical record behind to consult.
Which is why common sense leads me to conclude the obvious.. OF COURSE HE AGREES WITH THEM.. AND THEY WITH HIM.
Amy (or Army? font is so small) said:
I noticed this a long time ago.. he’s so very very brittle.
Does anyone remember the little row he got in with the former PM of Australia John Howard? that was very revealing to me.
Unfortunately that although the above poster hootnannie is correct, that in all probability in an “HONEST” election, John would squeeze out a win as people are afraid to say who they are voting for in fear of repercussions.
But when a candidate like Obama trained Acorn how to coerce banks, sign up poor people, old people, and coerce them to vote for him etc etc. and with all the known voter fraud, it won’t matter as Obama has the election already in the bag. He already has purchased his President chair I understand and isn’t worried a bit.
I agree the polls are all scewed up.
They need to investigate Mississippi where voter fraud is a way of life for the past 50 years. Anyone that tried to accuse of that got locked up or killed I understand.
I can’t believe I have been a Democrat all these years if this is the real Democrat showing through.
God help us!
I also read that Acorn charged the poor people fees and required them to do service in exchange for getting a home loan.
Sounds like BO and MO, doesn’t it?!
“YOU WILL WORK FOR US!”
“By their fruits you will know them” — If you surround yourself with rotten fruits you must like rotten things, because that arrangement was what you worked to bring about.
O’s intelligence and demeanor and grades are more lies that were spread to inoculate people. Then they hear him babble and think, maybe I’m too dumb to understand this, because they “know” from the preplanted idea that he is intelligent. They hear that he is calm and somehow see his arrogance as calm. Each impression will be difficult to undo.
What I fear the Republican strategists have done this election cycle, is out short sell themselves…they have prevented Hillary from taking the nomination by not releasing the goods on Obama, and they have waited so long to release them now that they don’t matter, as both campaigns decide to run clean elections. Every day has mattered and they have pissedf every one of them away. Release the whitey tape on Nov 2? Great. What effect will that have?
As a lifelong disappointed conservative I’m amused by this almost mythic reputation the Republican Party has with some people here in terms of it being a ruthless, no-holds-barred , Juggernaut election machine.
I mean.. the party of Kinder, Gentler G HW Bush who allowed the Clintons to run circles around him…
The party of Bob Dole, who thought the premise of his election appeal was simply that it was his turn..
The party of George W Bush, who isn’t even a conservative in most matters, and who refuses to defend anything that he has done because he thinks it’s a waste of time to go over the past.
In the Opinion-Media world.. in the Alternative - Media world, yes the Conservatives/Republicans are quite engaged in all manners of political joisting.. but the Political-Wing… is truly pathetic.
Most of us Conservatives have realized this since the Govt Shutdown back in 95 (if my memory serves)
The Repubilcans have never had an effective Counter-PR operation to fall back on when the MSM declare them the loser in whatever issue is the focus.
As far as the Primaries as concerned, I think most of the Campaign-wing were scared to death of being called a racist.
Plus, it’s not like there were any natural ways for Republicans to poison Obama’s well that early.
That was Clinton’s job… but Clinton could only say so much because:
- Bill pardoned Weather underground terrorists and other terrorists in 2001.
- have their own well-known problems with scandal
If anything the Opinion/Alternative Media type Republicans sustained Hillary’s campaign especially Rush Limbaugh and his Operation Chaos
How can Charles Krauthammer be so sure Barack Obama “doesn’t share the Reverend Wright’s poisonous views of race nor Ayers’ views, past and present, about the evil that is American society”? That old saying, “A man is known by the company he keeps,” comes to my mind anytime BO’s unsavory associations are brought up. The problem is, it may be too little too late far as McCain-Palin’s effort to air BO’s dirty linen during this, the 11th hour, of the election. God I hope something soon sticks to the teflon coated Manchurian Candidate.
ROFLMAO…Just saw an Obama ad calling McCain a wasteful spender, at the end it said can we afford to elect John McCain.
OMG, I’m still laughing. the guy has no shame LOL!
Sorry but I reject all the concerns about “not enough time.” In fact, I think time is on McCain’s side. I know republican strategists who months ago said Obama would need at least a 10 pt lead, maybe 15, in the last couple weeks to pull it out. I blieve polls, on average are at least 5 pts skewed toward Obama at this point. In other words it is a tie. So who do you think is in the best position to pick up points, pick up undecideds, in the last few weeks? Remember that just recently Zogby, the most accurate pollster the last several elections, said that McCain is in the best position to win by a landslide and not to believe the hype in the current polls and media.
My take on Obama is that he’s very personally ambitious. He mapped out this plan years and years ago. He avoided leaving ANY record to explore because he knew that an AA guy would have to appear nearly bigger than life to win. He made a decision as to how best to do it. Hillary would be perfect to knock off. First of all, she’s a woman. She’d have her own hill to climb (and she did, as a woman). Second, he’d bamboozle everyone with that win. Third, he’d play that race card so effectively as to cut off legitimate critics. And Four, he’d do his part by finally actually studying a bit on the issues and at least sounding good.
I think you are exactly right.
And I think he’s seen racecardplaying much of his life — that whole anticolonialist critique is a type of racecard, basically saying that until those of African origin get back everything the appropriation of the development of Africa by Europeans tooks from them, people of color everywhere should get priority access to resources. Lots of nonracialized people, like Ayers, are just as militant about that if not more so than people of African heritage themselves.
Like they are channeling the oppression.
So there is lots of that been going around for a long time.
And I think it is different from asking for equality, different even from affirmative action (which I actually happen to agree with, if its done right).
What I’m afraid of is that he didn’t map it out all by himself. And I want to know who did.
Me too, Jules.
By the way, it is so good to see AnninCa posts again. Missed them when she was not around.
OT: I’ve been offline for a day but has anyone mentioned the Reform Party (started by Ross Perot) endorsed McCain for President yesterday — I saw the story on AP. Members from 27 states voted and nobody voted for Obama. They said BO is a traditional liberal democrat while McCain is the real reformer. Will this have any influence on independents?

New Mac AD Guilt By Participation
Oh yea, baby, that’s a good one. They are carefully setting all this up and it’s gonna be checkmate time by 4 November.
$160 mil war-chest behind Mac and the RNC, plus $40 mil behind the NRA = $200 million to bury 0bama/biden in the final weeks!
If the 0bamamedia won’t tell Americans what they need to know about barky, these guys can and will!
Plus we haven’t seen anything from the Republican National Trust PAC, yet and they know all the dirty details. I donated to them and hope they don’t let me down!
Please bear with me because as an AA I am writing with a heavy heart. I see this phony, lying Obama attempting to destroy by racial manipulation, inuendoes, and corruption many people I admire: Bill & Hillary Clinton, Jim Clyburn, Jessie Jackson, and now John Lewis. What could possess such a once honorable man as John Lewis to dishonor himself and his mentor Dr.King with such hateful statements as those uttered against John McCain? It’s obscene for a man his age and stature. A person held in high regard even by McCain (remember the Saddleback Church Forum?) should be thoughtful and circumspect in his speech. To try to racially smear John McCain with the racist democrat George Wallace is mindbogging. Obama has corrupted Clyburn, Lewis, and many others by encouraging them to respond to outlandish, made up, bullshit by the MSM. They have sold their souls for the 30 pieces of silver which in their case is the “opportunity” to put a “black” man in the White House. They have become blinded by this thought and ambition. They are just as dangerous as Obama. I marched with Dr King in MS during my college days. He would be appalled were he alive today.
As I’ve said before, it is up to you whites to make sure Obama will not become president. I will help you with my one vote for McCain.
God bless you.
I think the true idealism that once connected us all, whether you’re a woman, an AA woman, a Latino, a disabled person, or whatever category you fit…as been snapped.
I, too, am sorry to see that era go. But every era has its heyday.
Apparently, we are in an era of disdain for ideals.
I can’t imagine this. But then, I’m steeped in the other era.
So this, too, makes me feel bad.
What I do think, however, is that the true spirit can’t really die. It just takes a nose dive now and then.
Truth prevails.
I am so sorry for you, and all the headgames that have been played on AAs to bring this man forward. We could have been rooting for a good AA candidate just as much as we want to take this devil out and we were cheated too. In the end we’ll still be the racists to some no matter what we do. I can accept that, but I can’t accept someone using his “race” to foster a hopeless dream that somehow a darker president is going to change things for people who are themselves dark.
Wisewoman:
I think we all have heavy hearts. When the primaries first began, I was really excited about the choice of the Democratic candidates. Though even early on I leaned in HRC’s direction, I was thrilled to see a young black candidate running for POTUS. What a spectacular moment for every American, I thought, a chance to heal the ugly wounds of the past. I had similar feelings when Colin Powell was hinting he might give it a go several years ago [and frankly, I think he could have won and would have made a fine POTUS].
But as the days, weeks, months went on it became perfectly clear that Barack Obama was not what he claimed to be. Not even close. And frankly, in the last six months I’ve been horrified at his campaign and the treachery of the party I’d spent a lifetime in.
Come Hell or highwater, I’ll vote for John McCain, not because I’m a Republican but because he’s the only candidate we have that will represent all Americans and honestly try to put this country back together again. And clean up the mess while he’s at it.
I think Lewis’s comments were very unfair to McCain as is the meme that John Mac and Palin are encouraging bigotry in their stump speeches. On the other hand, I thought the treatment of President Clinton was even worse. How in God’s name you could call Bill Clinton a racist is beyond me. The man sure ain’t perfect, but if there’s one thing Bill Clinton has never been it’s a racist.
God help us all! We need to make our votes count, each and every one of us.
I honor you and your wisdom! I lived in Alabama during the George Wallace time and was ashamed of my state for many, many years. Even though I really believe he changed in his later years and regretted what he did, he cast a black eye on that state that exists to this day in many people’s minds.
John Lewis is despicable after what he did to Bill and Hillary and now to John McCain. How he can say what he said about the Clintons - knowing that it wasn’t true - and about McCain, when John has a black adopted child, is unforgiveable.
THAT is mean-spirited, ugly, and goes beyond the politics of personal destruction. It says something about his honor, integrity and ethics and it’s not good. He should shut his pie hole and take a long vacation and stay out of the spotlight for a while. Does he think he’s not getting enough attention, or is he vying for a position in an Obama administration?
wisewoman…
yes, you certainly are. i think i can understand how you must be feeling and want to thank you very much for sharing your thoughts and feelings.
thank you for sharing your perspective, and many hearts of people of all colors share this agony. Friends have been lost, the careless throwing of the whole deck of cards–race, gender, class, education, party id—at us all.
What also bothers me is that in a heartless and calculating way, this is the way obama plans to win–to divide, turn us inside out, make us fear, threaten us–it is the in your face method.
I think because of the shared pain we all feel now that we are building a lasting coalition among people who finally know what country above party is…we have reached “across miles” in every way. Thank you for posting.
I forgot to mention that I no longer have respect nor admiration for Clyburn, Jackson or Lewis. I somewhat admire Bill Clinton but I barely have a thimble full of respect for Hillary since she is going to the mat in campaigning for the phony liar Obama even after he smeared her with the charge of racism. I believe she is the reason Bill is campaigning for Obama. Bill had said that Hillary’s campaign was his last.
Wisewoman —
Don’t be too harsh on Hillary.
Many of the AA leaders who supported her till the end are being retaliated aaginst bt the Democratic Party now lead by Obama.
In fact, I read an article a couple months ago that the deal she made for the convention — to release her delegates to Obama — was done only when she got assurances that there would be no backlash against her office-holding supporters.
Bill and Hill are doing this for many reasons, the least of them: supporting O. That’s just a byproduct of what she must do to protect her loyal friends.
After all — the wise warrior makes sure she lives to fight another day.

Obama’s Kenya ghosts
Mark Hyman
About 50 parishioners were locked into the Assemblies of God church before it was set ablaze. They were mostly women and children. Those who tried to flee were hacked to death by machete-wielding members of a mob numbering 2,000.
The 2008 New Year Day atrocity in the Kenyan village Eldoret, about 185 miles northwest of Nairobi, had all the markings of the Rwanda genocide of a decade earlier.
By mid-February 2008, more than 1,500 Kenyans were killed. Many were slain by machete-armed attackers. More than 500,000 were displaced by the religious strife. Villages lay in ruin. Many of the atrocities were perpetrated by Muslims against Christians.
The violence was led by supporters of Raila Odinga, the opposition leader who lost the Dec. 27, 2007, presidential election by more than 230,000 votes. Odinga supporters began the genocide hours after the final election results were announced Dec. 30. Mr. Odinga was a member of Parliament representing an area in western Kenya, heavily populated by the Luo tribe, and the birthplace of Barack Obama’s father.

But ya it’s about read to hit the fan.
Is this a killer or another non-reported story like the Logan Act? I wonder.
Since BO doesn’t do anything, unless there is something in it for him, I have been wondering why he would go to Kenya and help Odinga? Has anybody thought that maybe if he helped Odinga win, then Odinga would be in charge of all the records associated with Kenya? Even birth certificate records. Just thinking…
During the Rev. Wright coming out party on Tv, I was reading Huff-po posts … here’s the sad part in their comments.
Left-wing arm chair “progressives” AGREE with Rev. Wright. And I bet many left wingers in the MSM do too.
That’s the problem.
But these particular “whiteys” (I can say it - I am white) are what I call “Some-of-my-best-friends-are-black” liberals who have lunch with the black guy at work (and only at work) then pride themselves at being so damn liberal all the way home to their lily white neighborhoods.
These types are liberal in word only, not in deeds. Playing the race card on these types is easy — because deep down inside they know they ARE prejudiced.
If their duaghter came home with an AA guy and announced, “We’re enegaged!” they’d lose their lunch. And they know it. And my black friends make fun of these types of white liberals.
Most of those MSM Obama-bootlicking talking heads are prime examples of what I’m talking about.
So they will agree with Rev. Wright — because it assuages their own white guilt and keeps they dirty little secret tucked away: they’re prejudiced too.
