The Obama Campaign’s Misogyny

Only those of us women who supported Hillary throughout the primaries know just how ugly and vicious the attacks were. Now we see the same treatment of Sarah Palin, and we are appalled. This interview sums up many of my feelings very well. I wish I could quote a Democratic woman who was on the air today, but few of them “get it.” Thank god we have women such as Dr. Lynette Long and Lynn Forester de Rothschild who speak out as disaffected Democrats.

I do have one question. Why must I get the video from Fox News? Why is there no “Special Commentary” on this repugnant attack on a vice presidential candidate? Oh, I know the answer, and I do realize that the emphasis must remain on McCain’s “angry” crowds. But I just thought I would ask anyway. Now, the interview:

In a little while, you’re in for a treat. We’re posting a story by Medusa, who has written a compelling, intellectual analysis of the meaning behind these misogynistic t-shirts.

AND WHAT WAS THE LEVER?

No Compromise When it Comes to Being Right!
Phil Berg is my guest today on No Compromise Radio
October 13, 2008 · 1 Comment

UPDATE: I scheduled a show with Attorney Phil Berg who has filed a lawsuit against Barack Obama for not being a US Citizen therefore he is an illegal alien.

My show was terminated at the beginning of the show. Why? The BTR assistant Director of Customer Relations, Shannon Dingee-Kramer stated that my show was, “racially or ethnically offensive, defamatory, unreasonably violent, threatening, intimidating or harassing; 2. contains falsehoods or misrepresentations that could damage BlogTalkRadio or any other person;

In other words, those who claim to be for free speech are afraid of it when they see it. It might offend someone and that’s far more important to protect than the American Principle of exercising the flow of speech in the arena of public ideas.

So I am officially off the air until further notice thanks to the Obamunists and Islamists who support him!

I want to thank all of you for your faithfulness to my growing show.

Monday at 2:00 PDT, October 13th–Click here to listen
THE CALL IN NUMBER IS 646.200.4641

Today, my guest is Phil Berg, Philadelphia lawyer has filed a federal lawsuit against Barack Obama alleging that Obama is not a natural born Citizen of the US, a requirement clearly spelled out in the US Constitution,

No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty five years, and been fourteen Years a resident within the United States. ~Article I, Section I.

Comment by Ann Arbor for Palin | 2008-10-13 20:06:09

I just visited http://clintondems.com
and watched the videos posted on the site. I have heard about irregularity happened in the primary but I could never imagined the dirty things those eye witnesses described.

When I watched the videos, I was so angry that my body was shaking.

There is no doubt in my mind that ACORN helped Obama to steal the primary. Now, we are watching ACORN helping Obama to defeat legitimate voters.

I just heard from my daughter in Philadelphia that last saturday night Sarah Palin was at a bar in South Philly to talk to people. A crowd of Obama supporters were outside protesting.

The crowd became unruly and forced their way into the bar. Palin was protected by her body guards and the Bar was emptied out.Police were called to the scene. As Palin was leaving Obama supporters started to throw rocks and cans at her.

My daughter witnessed the entire episode from across the street. The crowd was made up of college students and young adult thugs.
The police didn’t do much about it. My daughter is a McCain Democrat and she was disturbed and a little rattled by the episode.
Just wanted NQ folks to know about this as soon as I found out. Don’t know if it’ in the media but I know my daughter would not exagerrate something like this.BTW she is a student at a college in Philly. thanks

Comment by John Smith | 2008-10-13 20:15:22

The people who keep saying that we will have riots on the street if Obama looses are condoning this behavior and in many cases encourage it. What they don’t understand that when he does loose the election they could very well have created a self fulfilling prophecy. I don’t know about you but I am very troubled by this type of crap.

Comment by lark | 2008-10-13 20:41:27

You. I am terrified. But I am absolutely convinced the riots will happen and they will be widespread. Why?

Because after today’s speeches by both McCain and Obama I can tell that the election is going to be razor close. If McCain wins there will be riots. If Obama wins there will also be vandalism and intimidation.

Today’s Obama speech was pretty good. I don’t see how he can loose if he continues with this vein of promising 15 programs during each speech. He has about 30 programs and offers going and at any given time he offers any number of different combination of tax credits and candies. It is scary.

McCain has his work cut out. I am not seeing Palin being as helpful as she could be. I was happier to see her attack Obama restlessly with truths about his uncovered radicalism, untold unsavory associations, and poor judgment.

I believe that if McCain wins on this more tempered platform the riots would be larger than if he would win with a total scorched earth approach – hold no prisoners strategy.

Comment by Sarracuda In So Cal | 2008-10-13 20:43:10

They can riot for all I care, I just want McCain to win, I’d rather they riot because McCain one then riot because Obama won, why would they win if Obama won, I would think they would be happy. I just want McCain, I cant afford to have Obama in the White House, he and his radical nut jobs will destroy this country so bad we might never recover

Comment by Rob in Chicago | 2008-10-14 10:30:40

Sarracuda:

Just look at the riots that occur in some cities when their sports team wins a national title. Some people just like to riot, and will do so when they see an opportunity to do so.

Comment by cathnealon | 2008-10-13 21:34:18

OMG–I am terrified of an Obama presidency not of riots, that’s a scare tactic they used during the primaries. For many of us over 40′ers we’ve lived through them before and whatever happens happens. One doesn’t give up what they believe is right because of fear or intimidation. Obama’s Chicago thuggery is so predictable that not one of us is going to change our vote believe me. If anyone’s going to riot let them go ahead, as a great theologian once said, “no pregress is made without prodigous waste.” Oh, well bring it on. If McCain and Palin aren’t afraid of the thugs neither am I.

Comment by rickrickrick | 2008-10-13 23:50:47

Dude or dudette: Obama is promising anything to get elected with most of it going to those who pay no taxes at all. He is on record and video saying he wants to spread the wealth around. Screw him and Screw anyone who wants to riot. Grow or borrow some balls and stand up to this BS. Obama is a puss who hides behide his color and gives the OK to lowlife thugs to be vile, and toxic toward McCain and Palin. I have zero respect for the midget of a man he is.

Comment by BettsAZ | 2008-10-14 00:32:55

That plumber in PA(?) didn’t look all that happy when Obama basically told him that he’s gonna have to share all that wealth he’s worked 12 hours a day for…”gotta spread it around…”

The crowd became unruly and forced their way into the bar. Palin was protected by her body guards and the Bar was emptied out.Police were called to the scene. As Palin was leaving Obama supporters started to throw rocks and cans at her.

I find it difficult to believe that if this had happened, it wouldn’t have made CNN and MSNBC. They might be pro-Obama, but a vice president candidate surrounded by Secret Service who is being pelted with rocks and cans on a Philadelphia street is news that no news organization is going to ignore. They would have cameras on the candidate constantly – hoping to be the first to capture an assassination attempt on film.

The articles I’ve read about her visit to Philadelphia mention that one man outside of her hotel yelled: “”Let’s stone her, old school.”

http://www.philly.com/philly/hp/news_update/20081012_Palin_hears_plenty_of_boos.html

I also haven’t read that she stopped by a bar in Philadelphia on this trip. She did watch the first debate from a Philadelphia bar in September.

Comment by NoBamaNoWay | 2008-10-13 23:37:57

”Let’s stone her, old school.” ??? wow. unfortunately, i think that sentiment would be shared by a lot of obama’s islamophile storm troopers. it’s getting scary.

Comment by workingclass artist | 2008-10-13 23:54:14

All I’m doin is saying what my daughter saw from across the street in South Philly last Sat. night. She was at an Art opening/gallery. The Bar was across the street. Palin wasn’t hurt but I described it as she saw it….With regards to NEWS…HELLO…WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?
A LOT OF THINGS ARE NOT COVERED BY THE NEWS…SHEEEESH!

All I know is that my daughter wouldn’t make this crap up…she’s not that kind of kid…
So take it like a grain of salt if you want…given the venom directed at Palin do you really think it couldn’t happen? Do you really think if it went on for say 20 minutes and no one was hurt it would be newsworthy or that the city would want it on the news?

Comment by Liz B | 2008-10-14 13:30:52

She did. I just confirmed with my daughter. My girl was in Philly at the Flyer game when Palin was there, she saw her and she confirmed there were people in the crowd booing, she even got in a fight with one woman who was booing Palin (verbal, not physical)…She said Palin was at a bar Saturday night, a bar called the Club 27, with a side street entrance, she said it’s “kindof ghetto” college bus trips go there cuz it is easy to get in underage. Anyway, they announced it on the radio, and that is how the Obama supporters knew to go there. It might have made the news in Philly, I don’t know whether they would supress on a local level what they would on a National level. My brother in law is a volunteer fireman in West Philly burbs, I could ask him if he heard anything, he gets things on his scanner.
But, yes, she did go to a bar on Saturday night.

OMG. I’m speechless. We should all be taking notes. Because we’re being shown by the experts how you hijack a healthy democracy. We’re witnessing something dark and horrible happening before our very eyes. And after it gets even worse, then even worse, then even worse, and the planet can very well be left in rubble again, then those who attacked us will shrug their shoulders and say ‘how could we have known?’

And my question already today is: can we forgive them? Should we forgive them?

Comment by Zorro Astor | 2008-10-13 22:38:24

More on this. I was in Germany, albeit quite a while ago. As everyone I have been troubled by the stories of the war and what led up to it. I was very inquisitive.

I found a small minority that had family members stretching way back who had understood from the get-go what Hitler and the Nazis were all about. They were forced to be very careful about what they said. They did what they could but they also knew the best strategy was to just survive.

Then you had the great majority. These were the people who almost literally shrugged the war off when it was all over. They thought little of it. And they weren’t adverse to discussing it – they just didn’t see a point. Who cared for things like that?

And the one thing they all had in common: a deep seated attitude that they themselves were not at fault. ‘We were told our Vaterland was under attack!’ they’d protest. And ‘Hitler promised us a chicken in a pot on every stove on Sunday!’ And so forth. To describe these people as thoughtless and baseless and unconscionable would be too kind. For the minority I spoke of made it all very clear: what was going on – and what was bound to happen – was very obvious to anyone who bothered to take the time to watch and listen.

Is this a condemnation of the German people? Most certainly. But it’s not the ‘German’ – it’s the ‘people’. People everywhere are like this, as we see today.

The crime is that people are supposed to learn from history. That those who have not learned from history are condemned to repeat it.

I just will never reconcile myself to the reality that these boobs will also take the good people like ourselves down with them.

When people started losing their rights under Bush I started receiving a lot of mail. I am not politically active at all and neither are my friends. But they saw how they were losing their rights and they were very alarmed. And now eight long years are almost at an end and instead of things finally promising to get better (as they would have with a Hillary presidency) we only see them getting even worse.

This is a dark moment for mankind (and womankind) and I only hope enough people wake up to what is going on in time.

All of you take care.

Comment by NoBamaNoWay | 2008-10-13 23:31:27

scary. truly scary. can this really be happening? when this stuff started to happen under BushCo, one could have believed that it was ananomoly, unique to that criminal administration, and once dems got back in charge we would revert to enforcing the bill of rights again. it now looks like we could be sliding further and further towards a totalitarian (and socialist) state.

A great message from Ms. Bruce – yes, she gets it.

However, she should LOSE the Democrat Party garbage if she wants to be taken seriously by disaffected Dems – the far-right, from which that usage emanates has caused this country profound damage. That type of language labels Ms. Bruce just another right-wing-nut, interested only in a right-wing-nut audience.

Comment by meileen | 2008-10-13 20:21:45

I grew up in a country where the marshal law took place. I was a journalist for about 3 years under that law. To be honest to our conscience and responsible to our readers/audiences, we ran the risk of not only losing our jobs, but losing our freedom.

When I see how the MSM has been abusing their freedom in this great country, I feel heartache.

I don’t know what happened to Corsi on Hannity tonight, but he was also scheduled to be on MommaE radio/Monk’s radio, rescheduled for tomorrow tonight.

Jerome Corsi interview rescheduled, MommaE radio show, Corsi interview will be October 14, 2008
October 6, 2008 · 4 Comments

I just received this from MommaE:
“PLEASE POST THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT ON ALL BLOGS AND E-MAIL TO ANYONE THAT YOU SENT THE ANNOUNCEMENT TO!

I just got a call from Jerome Corsi and something very important came up in Africa. He didn’t want to lose the opportunity afforded to him, so he asked if he could move the interview to next Monday night the 14th. He will give us the whole hour that night. I WILL EXPLAIN MORE ON THE SHOW TONIGHT!!

I extended that courtesy to him as what he is doing in Kenya is very important and when a contact there sets something up that will help him get information, that comes first. Mr. Corsi asked me to extend his apologies to everyone and to tell you all that he is looking forward to being on the show. They will be on a plane to other parts of Africa tomorrow night and that is why he couldn’t do it on Tuesday.

He was very sorry for the short notice and for having to re-schedule, as he thought that the door he was trying to open to get some information was closed, but just got word that some one would help him.

I hope that you will all understand and join Mr. Corsi and I on Monday, October 14th to hear what he has been able to uncover about Obama in Kenya!

Evelyn
MommaE & The Radio Rebels

I wanted to let you know that I will have a very Special Guest for the first half hour of Monday night’s show. I will be interviewing Jerome Corsi, the Author of the Best Selling Book “Obama Nation”. I will be talking to Mr. Corsi from Kenya as he is there investigating Barack Obama.

Mr. Corsi is there at the invitation of Christian missionaries who contend the rise of Islam in the African nation has been spurred by an agreement Obama signed with Muslim leaders in an effort to elect Raila Odinga last December. Odinga lost the election but now shares power with the Kenyan president to appease Islamic leaders.

Corsi says Obama supported the candidacy of Odinga, a Luo tribesman like Obama’s father, in the 2007 Kenyan presidential election, opposing current president Mwai Kibaki, a member of Kenya’s largest tribe, the Kikuyu.

I am hoping that you can help me advertise and promote this by posting it on every Blog that you can and e-mailing everyone you know from now and up to the show Monday.

I can’t believe that people(and I use that term loosly to describe these animals) could throw rocks and cans at Sarah Palin. What the hell has happened to our country. No wonder she gets so rattled when she goes to these rallies. Like today for example, at the rally in Richmond, Virginia, there were over 30,000 people there to see her at the Raceway, and some people towards the front were yelling LOUDER LOUDER because they could not hear her and she thought they were protesters so she told them about how her son is in Iraq fighting so that they can protest. Todd had to come over and whisper to her that they were chanting LOUDER because they can’t hear her. It’s really sad that she has had to go through all this hell, now whenever someone yells something at her she thinks its someone attacking her so she responds back. I can’t even imagine the pure hell she has been through. I bet she can’t wait for all this to be over, for someone that just wanted to do something good for America, instead she is seeing the very worst America has to offer in these scumbags who have nothing better to do then treat her like garbage

I was priveledged to be at the Richmond Va rally today and believe me Gov. Sarah Palin was well received and is very much loved and appreciated here in Va. We are so close to DC that the stench of corrupt politicians reaches us here and Gov Palin is a breath of fresh air. Va loves her here and we intend to keep VA RED!!

The chants from supporters that Gov Palin mistook for hecklers came from far back in the massive crowd. They could not hear her and they were wanting the volume turned up.. She was very polite to them.. It was a great day!! I was right in front of the podium and about three people back.
She is beautiful and refreshing and I pray Washington is graced with her presence come Jan. 09

Obama supporters are immature young male thugs, mostly suburban white kids with nothing to do on their spare time. They are ignorant, lazy, and greatly unwashed types who on their first political experience think they know something about politics. They are a sad and pathetic lot.
I hope their parents cut them off and they end up on the street begging for “Change”.

Comment by snosandy | 2008-10-13 20:42:52

Rassmussin poll guy just said on Hannity it would take a major mistake on Obama’s part to have the polls go down.

May I ask how many more mistakes does it take. It doesnt seem to matter what Obama does the media just ignores it.
Lets see we have
Obama’s BC question
Obama’s flipflops on Ayers, Rizo, Wright and other associates
Obama’s connection with Acorn
Obama’s connection with the Kenya election

And the list seems to go on and on

Comment by Sarracuda In So Cal | 2008-10-13 20:36:07

Obama’s entire life is a mistake, how many damn associations does this guy have, with the PLO, with communists, with racists, with anti semites, with mobsters, with corrupt officials, what mistake is this fool looking for, nothing that Obama says will bring him down, ACORN already did the job for him, massive voter fraud, people voting for him 70, 80 times, of course he cant lose

Is there anyone around you do not hate America?

Obama,

Have you ever done anything good for this country?

That is a question that has never been asked. It’s certainly not asked by voters. They should ask this.

Obama would have to murder someone while being video taped by a high-definition camera. Otherwise, the media will cover for him. I don’t trust Rasmussen anymore though. I think he got some Nobama juice and is choosing ridiculous numbers for party constituencies.

Comment by gregoryp | 2008-10-13 20:56:24

All the polls are contrived nonsense. It is all a bluff at this point trying to sucker people into staying home or changing their vote to the “winner”. We all know how everybody at your workplace has been a “lifelong” fan of that latest “hot” team in the Superbowl, World Series or whatever. Obama, MSM & the pollsters are just hoping and praying that enough people buy their bullshit to trick people into electing Obama. They are a cynical bunch that is for sure. They think everybody in this country is stupid and uninformed and apathetic. Unfortunately, they might just be right.

I heard Berg last night and he is very well spoken. What he said is that Obama has until Wednesday of this week to turn over the paper work they want. I don’t understand why the judge is sitting on this. Berg said that if something does not happen soon they will move the case to an other court. He asked to let as many people know as possible. So make sure you send on this website to everyone you know.

This is the same vile, disgusting stuff that they [the Obama folks] leveled against Hillary Clinton. The Republicans are not saints because they also leveled an unending barrage against Hillary when Bill Clinton was in the White House.

But I have to say–the Obamatrons elevated the spew to a new, dispicable height.

For me, this is one of a dozen reasons why Barack Obama is an illegitimate candidate for POTUS. The puzzle pieces fall into place: this is a man who wouldn’t know the truth if he fell over it, who is an opportunist to the extreme, who will charge his supporters to say or do anything to win an election [as long as he can skate free from the pointing finger].

Women represent 52% of the population. Will we give a nod to this vile, sexist spew? Or will we say: No! Not now, not ever.

If we allow one woman to be so incredibly disrespected then we have no right to cry “foul” if and when the same thing happens to us. In fact, we will have invited the humiliation.

It’s not a political issue. It’s a basic human rights issue. If Obamatrons can run around as if their hair’s on fire with contorted interpretations of what might have been meant, could have been meant, yada, yada, then please: how can anyone be ambivalant about these vicious attacks?

There’s kool-aid and then there’s brain dysfunction.

Wake up, America! The thugs are breaching the wall.

This is a response I received from one of my neighbors (an old man that was a bachelor until not long ago) after I sent him some articles/links about McCain/Palin:

“John McCain supports the worst policies of Bush and lost my respect by picking a no-nothing for VP. He thinks more of winning than what’s good for the country. He is bad for America. On the other hand, Obama is a smart, thoughtful, conscientious young man, essentially a centrist. I support the policies of Clinton rather than Obama but think Obama would make the better president. Joe Biden has been an exemplary leader for a quarter century. There is no contest on policy or personalities. W is the worst president in our history, and McCain promises more of the same. Please stop sending me political emails.”

There are others in my building that are also madly in-love with BHO… All white, supposedly well educated and of different religions. I guess they have fell under the spell.

McCain/Palin, all the way!

What I wonder is who these people voted for in 2000 and 2004?

It seems as if an awful lot of people who voted for Bush are now trying to assuage their conscience by not voting Republican.

What fascinates me to no end is that you’d think these people would question their own judgement. If Bush is the worst president in the history of the US, then who picked him?

Certainly not I. But I, like everybody who didn’t vote for him, got stuck with him.

Had I voted for Bush, I’d certainly second-guess any choice I’d be making now, especially if I was enthusiastic.

I can’t get over how many low-information voters there are in America.

Comment by AnninCA | 2008-10-14 00:47:03

I don’t think that’s “low-information.”

I thought the last election was a war election. Traditionally, people are reluctant to change parties in the middle of a war. I always thought that Democrats didn’t get that.

It wasn’t about “rovian tactics” or “swiftboating,” it was about the war.

We just don’t handle change well in the middle of a war.

So I agree with you, this is “make-up” time.

Comment by Jules | 2008-10-13 21:58:00

preferable to reactionary inflation and getting our jobs slashed because of overtaxation.

You’re right about that. Also, when people’s jobs get cut, the amount of work doesn’t go away. There are just fewer people left to do it. It’s called longer hours and no life for everyone that was ‘lucky’ enough to survive the job cuts. If you’re salaried rather than hourly…you are totally screwed.

Spread this around if you get a chance and think this is absolutely unacceptable as I do. At the bottom I have also added a list of documentation that Obama refuses to reveal to the general public. I wonder why???!!!

From Dreams of My Father:’I ceased to advertise my mother’s race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites.’

From Dreams of My Father : ‘I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother’s race.’

From Dreams of My Father:’There was something about him that made me wary, a little too sure of himself, maybe. And white.’

From Dreams of My Father: ‘It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names.’

From Dreams of My Father:’I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn’t speak to my own. It was into my father’s image, the black man, son of Africa , that I’d packed all the attributes I sought in myself , the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela.’

And FINALLY the Most Damning one of ALL of them!!!

From Audacity of Hope:’I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.’

“very strange” indeed. What other kind of people would be attracted to someone who does not seem to have a connection to one mentor, organizer, politician, preacher, professor, friend who is pro-American, pro-capitalism, pro democracy and in any way could be considered within the normal range of behavior as outlined in the DSM-IV.

Martha MacCallum is awesome. (She once emailed me back personally…lol). But seriously, she’s cool and funny.

You know what pisses me off? Certain people just want to bash FOX News all day, but say whatever you want, there are 2 things that are true of them:

1.) They treat all guests (Rep., Dem. and Ind.) with respect and class.

2.) THEY ARE THE ONLY ONES REPORTING THE ACTUAL NEWS ON A DAILY BASIS!! As we’ve noted.

Can’t say the same for ABC, NBC, CNN, MSNBC or any other network for that matter.

Comment by EightBelles | 2008-10-13 22:14:09

I feel sorry for Sen Clinton who virtually has no choice but to pay lip homage to the most misogynistic movement this country has ever witnessed–the Barack Obama for POTUS coup. If we disenfranchised Dems no longer recognize our party, think how HRC & Bill must feel.

Wonder where CNN’s Cameron Brown stands on this issue for which Tammy Bruce so eloquently stood her ground? If Cameron Brown thinks these anti-Palin t-shirts are disgusting and sexist, she should call for CNN to do a full investigation with coverage. Ditto for Andrea Mitchell of MSNBC. If these MSM female TV anchors fail to do so, they imo are every bit as guilty as those who wear the “Palin is a C” t-shirt.

This blind eye deaf ear liberal MSM campaign coverage is inexcusable. Not only is journalism dead in 2008, apparently sisterhood died along with the uprising of an imposter by the name of Barack Obama.

Comment by Monet | 2008-10-13 23:05:38

The t-shirts (Sarah Palin is a c***” and “Puck F***cer” are being worn by young adults who don’t remember a world where women didn’t have the same rights as men – especially economic rights. They think every 18 year old girl has always been able to apply for and receive her own VISA card. They don’t know how hard their great grandmothers fought for the right to vote and for reproductive rights. They don’t know that their mothers couldn’t play on the Little League team in 1970. Or that their grandmothers couldn’t enroll at West Point, Yale or Harvard. They haven’t experienced hatred, discrimination or mistrust based on their gender.

Are the wearers of the t-shirts practicing misogyny when they have know idea what the hatred of women is? They’ve grown up in a culture where girls can do anything boys do, grow up to choose any career and pursue sexual relationships without the stigma that would have branded women as “loose” a few decades ago.

I don’t think they’re wearing the t-shirts because of misogyny. They’re wearing them because they know the sentiments expressed on the t-shirts are offensive. They want to offend and intimidate their elders more than demean womankind. I think this is more ageism than sexism.

Comment by WildChild | 2008-10-13 23:14:11

The tragedy is that these are the same scrawny unwashed greasy kids that gave liberalism a bad name back in the sixties. Lucky they have chosen a new name for themselves: progressive. Maybe now we can finally make the clean break from the old bullshit stereotype that the last set of greasy skeezoids gave to liberalism and finally put the liberal back in liberal democracy. This country could certainly use a few years of getting back to our roots in terms of basic constitutional operations and the respect the people once had for their government of the people

Comment by NoBamaNoWay | 2008-10-14 00:11:41

here’s the reality: EVERY generation of young women thinks discrimination against women is a thing of the past. they will learn. i recall a speech susan b. anthony gave near the end of her life (late 1800’s or around 1900), in which she decried the the young women “remonstrants” who had come along and were resisting the women’s rights movement, and who said that, yes, things were bad in the past, but now women have all the rights they need. and this was over a hundred years ago, when women didn’t have 1/10 of the rights they have now!!!

Write your state representatives.Believe me I have done this from time to time and they do answer.I have contacted the mayor on behalf of city officials. And I have contacted the governor on goverment officials.I have been answered. We need our voices to rise.We are the people the representatives are supposed to be working for us.Make them accountable. We do not have to behave like milititants like the Obamabots do to get our voices heard.Use diplomacy and your basic constitutional rights and stand for what you beleive in.Hold Democracy true to its roots.Blogging is great it keeps us informed but the blogs should inspire us to action.Just think if united what kind of progress we would make if all of us continually pounded our voices into Washington offices.

There used to be a saying I heard when I was growing up: “I may disagree with you, but I will fight for your right to say it!” Then that turned into, “If you don’t like it, then change the channel,” to “You are a bigot, so we will shut you down and charge you with a hate crime!”

For God’s sake what is happening to this country, this city on the hill that used to represent freedom to all nations?! It’s scary people, it’s very, very scary!

If we don’t stand up for those we disagree with then they won’t be around when you need them! Plz stay tuned. This war has just begun and I intend to win it one way or the other!

It is time to Remember John Kennedy. Not as the intellectuals who quote him and adore him but as people of America who desperatly want their country back.

From Kennedy’s Inagural Address

“The world is very different now. For man holds in his mortal hands the power to abolish all forms of human poverty and all forms of human life. And yet the same revolutionary beliefs for which our forebears fought are still at issue around the globe — the belief that the rights of man come not from the generosity of the state, but from the hand of God.
We dare not forget today that we are the heirs of that first revolution. Let the word go forth from this time and place, to friend and foe alike, that the torch has been passed to a new generation of Americans — born in this century, tempered by war, disciplined by a hard and bitter peace, proud of our ancient heritage, and unwilling to witness or permit the slow undoing of those human rights to which this nation has always been committed, and to which we are committed today at home and around the world.

Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, to assure the survival and the success of liberty.

This much we pledge — and more.

To those old allies whose cultural and spiritual origins we share, we pledge the loyalty of faithful friends. United there is little we cannot do in a host of cooperative ventures. Divided there is little we can do — for we dare not meet a powerful challenge at odds and split asunder.

To those new states whom we welcome to the ranks of the free, we pledge our word that one form of colonial control shall not have passed away merely to be replaced by a far more iron tyranny. We shall not always expect to find them supporting our view. But we shall always hope to find them strongly supporting their own freedom — and to remember that, in the past, those who foolishly sought power by riding the back of the tiger ended up inside.”

We are walking in dangerous times, and Barack Obama is not up to the task.
