President Obama is now Inevitable so I’m wondering what the possibilities are for his first, second and third terms in office.
Beginning November 5th he will of course follow protocol established in the primary and take over operation of the Executive Branch. He won’t kick GWB out of the Oval office but will continue to work at his Chicago HQ. The Electoral College and swearing in are just distractions that we don’t need to worry about in this time of great crisis.
Another distraction that needs to be addressed immediately is the problem of the 22nd. Amendment to the Constitution. That is the one which restricts even great Presidents like Obama to only 2 four year terms. Ratification by the States can take years therefore one of the first orders of business is to begin the repeal process. Concurrently, the process of amending Section 1 of Article II of the Constitution will begin.
On to the main point of this post. The New York Times is discussing a global approach to the financial crisis. Governments are beginning to cooperate in joint solutions that have never been considered before. We know this is due to the coming of Barack Obama. His world trip this summer, his presence alone began the process of uniting former foes who are already coming together to solve this horrid financial crisis. Just today, Israeli bankers sat down with Hamas which like so many good governments is facing bankruptcy. Rumors are that Israel will be accepting $5 billion in debt in order to keep their neighbors afloat.
If we have a single world solution to the crisis we must have one person in charge of implementing the programs. That is only logical and explains the Chicago pilgrimages various world leaders have begun to take. One or two obstinate countries may not be charter signatories but we are sure that on January 20, 2009 Barack Obama will begin the unification of the Planet Earth.
It is expected that following the Inaugural Invocation given by the Reverend Jeremiah Wright and before the swearing in, over 160 world leaders will kneel down and swear their fealty to President Obama.

I voted for Hillary because she was running on a generally more progressive platform than Barack. Now, these so-called ex-Clinton voters call him a Socialist.

Can anyone explain why Florida is leaning towards Obama now? After the treatment in the primaries, I can’t fathom why Hillary Dems are now supporting Obama. Add to that the anti-Israel talk from Jesse Jackson what are the Jewish voters in Florida thinking? Or does another cattle car roundup appeal to them?

Corsi told Hannity he was detained and prevented from holding a news conference in Kenya where he planned to discuss the evidence he had found on Soertoro/Obama; bribes were paid and he and his publicist were taken to the airport under armed guard and put on a British plane, told never to come back. He was supposed to appear on Hannity’s program but got sick.

i have been voting for 20 plus years and i have never had a polling company call me but today i had 2 different polling companies call my house. the questions they asked lead me to believe that they are very slanted. i found the poll takers to be unprofessional sounding and amateur. i could sense they had an agenda. i am in a swing state and i now refuse to believe the polls anymore.

they actually asked me questions that were exact quotes from obama ads i have seen on tv. word for word. i mean exactly. they never mentioned the ad or said it was obama talking points but being in a swing state i have seen the ads many times. i wonder what side they are on?
Some days ago another commenter mentioned being polled by someone who didn’t ask who she supported but what talking points she preferred (and they were phrased in ways to elicit “yes,” it sounds). She asked what the pollster was putting down and was told she was being put in the O. supporter group, based on her agreement with “would you like your taxes reduced” and other points.
They aren’t really helping their cause in the long run to do this, it’s just another way of cooking a poll so they can say with some truth that “O is ahead.” Anyone could write a poll that would predetermine a winner this way and use it to suppress contrary opinion.
I believe these fraudulent polls are just another piece of the groundwork being laid for Obama to contest the election and claim it was stolen from him by racist evil-doers. Enough lies passed out before the election will allow him to question a legitimate win by Mccain and encourage his supporters to go sharpen their machetes, should his ACORN voter fraud efforts not manage to steal the elction for him.

Perhaps OT but… I have been posting at a mostly pro-BO site. My comments are always respectful and well-linked. I generally encouraged readers to conduct their own research and, when they did, even if their research was faulty or their conclusions wrong, I lauded their efforts. Given that, when I began posting there, the overwhelming lack of knowledge about the issues in this campaign was overwhelming, not surprisingly, I had many detractors. But I persisted. Over the past few days, I noticed that, the attitude of the opposition seemed to have softened. Then, today, there was this. I knew people were coming around…
It seems to me the plan to bring down America could come to fruition in the form of Barack Obama if the voters in this country don’t wake up. Our enemies around the world are waiting with baited breath for the day our destruction is complete at the hands of America’s own people.
John McCain surely knows this. He had better give the performance of his life tonight for the fate of this once-great nation is now in his hands.
Any undecided voters living in swing states should seriously consider preventing this disaster by casting their vote for John McCain. Those living in supposedly solid states who question Obama should get off their high horses and do the right thing — vote against Obama by casting your vote for McCain. No state is totally safe; therefore, voting third party or writing in anyone’s name is not a good idea when so much is at stake.

Consider the current several comments on MYDD which dismiss entirely the eighteen million who voted for Hillary Clinton. These intransigent Obama-nots wonder why Clinton supporters yet arrive in masses to witness speeches given by the Clintons, rather than arriving as de facto supporters of Obama/Biden.
They yet wonder why these eighteen million–a greater number, officially, than any other presidential candidate in the primaries, including Barack Obama, in United States political history–simply retain their passion for the Clintons.
Therein lies the tragedy. And it was the very same tragedy for George Walker Bush. The “true believers” simply could not compromise, much less accommodate and certainly not assimilate.
For GWB, this spelled a disastrous Presidency long before he took the Oath of Office. It never occurred to GWB, much less his fervent supporters, that Al Gore had bested him in the popular vote, that at best the Florida election results were a wash, and that the only way to govern successfully was to make some overtures to the other side.
The GWB supporters, in and outside of the MSM, remained myopic through the 2000 and 2004 close elections–and throughout his Presidency, whether driving fear after 9/11 to win the masses over, or simply ignoring the reality of the GWB administration’s obviously failing economic policies and diplomatic initiatives.
Initially, the MSM sold GWB as being “folksy,” rather than “alpha-male striving intellectually aloof Al Gore,” then, following 9/11, GWB was sold as a testosterone-driven “protector of America.”
That scenario worked until the Iraq War offensive went terribly awry, thus paving the way for a Pelosi-Reid takeover of Congress, proving itself to be every bit as inept as the GWB Presidency itself.
When the MSM realized that Hillary would be the inevitable winner of the 2008 Presidency–economic forces would propel her there much as they are now doing so for Barack Obama–the MSM declared all-out war on all things Clintons.
Aided and abetted by the Howard Dean/Nancy Pelosi/Caroline and Ted Kennedy wing of the Democratic Party, in effect these anti-Clinton forces shut down the election process, anointing the then unsaleable (in virtually all key swing states) Obama in June–when it was obvious that Hillary could well prevail at the Democratic Convention itself.
Now, of course, without the eighteen million Clinton voters casting ballots his way, of course Obama would be going nowhere near the White House.
But the Obama-nots are oblivious to this fact–they believe that their Messiah needs no one else. He just spiritually and metaphysically gets wherever he wants to go. It is much the same mypoic vision and irrational perspective that the GWB supporters had for their folksy, testosterone driven, bigger-than-his-Texas President. And that, in the end of course, spelled disaster not only for him but for the whole of this country as well.
Yes, President Obama will be his supporters’ (in and out of the MSM) Messiah, until of course, it becomes obvious that he was ever clueless.
For example, any obverser will note that candidate Obama on the current campaign trail, has virtually absorbed Senator Clinton’s proposals and solutions–which he once vociferously mocked.
That is why the Clinton economic, health care, and foreign policy staffers, by the grace of Senator Clinton, all have been rendered rather graciously to Senator Obama. And that includes the tried-and-proven Robert Rubin and Paul Krugman (the recent Nobel laureate in economics whose 2003 THE GREAT UNRAVELING revealed just how myopic and wrong the Bush administration was, even while the MSM and his supporters kept on fawning).
Of course, the Obama-nots will never understand those Clinton gifts. Once fully empowered, they will likely become as myopic and wrong-headed as the worst of the GWB doting masses.
This is why I believe that the Clinton years will soon enough be viewed as America’s last Golden Age. This was the last time in the United States when practical considerations and common sense, rather than lethal ideologies, ruled for the public good.
The Clinton team sought after genuine solutions and embraced divergent political views in the process. Thus, America reached the millennium financially solvent, with a real surplus, and essentially at peace with much of the rest of the world.
Today, the United States has few world friends, and its economy is in free-fall. Now, the MSM has embraced the most clueless of all political neophytes. After all, Barack Obama was the tool by which the MSM defeated the Clintons.
Alas, in the end, it was the United States itself which was defeated. Now one group of ideologue-driven, myopic true-believers will replace another. Gone are the middle-of-the-road representatives who seek for practical solutions.
Yes. the MSM has had its way once more, defeating the Clintons so that the next group of clueless politicos follow the last group.
Pity the poor United States. Now we are likely in irreparable decline. We know from history that all empires fall. The tragedy is that ours met with so ignominious an end.
