Hilarious (!) Update #2: Some (former?) employee in Barack Obama’s campaign inner sanctum accidentally released all of Obama’s “talking points” for tonight’s third and final debate against John McCain. Jake Tapper has the story:

I loved how Hillary called him out on this. Respectful but powerful- Loved it! How can Americans not care about Ayers. More reporters/ moderators need to call Obama out on it too. The American people are about to hire a new President in less than three weeks.
Just like any employer whose looking to hire someone, the employer doesn’t just look at the hype on a candidate’s resume and take all of the information on it at face value. The employer checks the resume for accuracy. He/she checks the candidate’s references. Background checks.
That’s what all Americans are at election time. Employers. And it’s our responsibility to check out candidates before we hire them

That same blogger has a second Update stating that he got off the phone with a “reputable source” (Berg?) and there is a recording of the conversation with Michelle Obama.
I read the same thing. Obama will be forced to resign from the Democratic ticket if this is true. In addition, the MSM will HAVE to follow this story because it involves the Constitution of the United States. It is not a Democrat or Republican issue, it is not a black or white issue–it is about upholding our Constitution. You know . . . the document in which our entire government was based?
Well Obama has flagrantly flaunted his Muslim leaning in his writing (or in Ayers writing) he has been thumbing his warty nose at America with the phony seal, refusing to raise his hand for the pledge, etc. etc. And STILL the press glorifies him. It wouldn’t surprise me if Michelle and Obama think they are totally bulletproof now, that they can say what they want and not be held accountable.

The issue for me isn’t ACORN’s methodology. Obama is right in a sense that ACORN is guilty of mismanagement as much as anything.
The issue remains for me that Obama, once again, lied to the public.
I’m a bit concerned for the voters who really aren’t taking that seriously. George Bush lied, and we’re in a war.
It would appear that deception has become acceptable. In middle class, that means it’s OK to cheat on taxes, rip off your insurance company, etc.
This loss of principle is absolutely part of the Wall St. problem. Lie to stockholders about the validity of their investment security? No problem! Everyone does it, right?
Same thing in politics. Lie to people about your relationships rather than just take the hit and move on?
The truth is that the news cycle for lying is about the same as for actual relationships.
Obama will be viewed as “smart” for having lied. He covered his own liberal tracks, so to speak, to win over middle America.
I find that a bit depressing, personally.

I contacted local TV channels in the States but (probably because I live in a blue state) I only got cookie cutter responses “Thank you for contacting us.”
I also contacted several French language TV stations and newspapers in Switzerland and France, but they are not intereted in this story. Unfortunately the French media are just as biased as the American media, so let’s contact BBC, Times and ITN and some German media(much fairer when it comes to McCain than the French media) and ask them to investigate!

I have had the feeling for the past couple days that ’something’ was happening as I watched the polls and looked a the internals. McCain’s all-out attack, albeit widely panned, is WORKING. It has planted the seeds of doubt in the minds of a gullible public and people are WAKING UP.
Yesterday, Gallup was 11 overall, 10 expanded likely, 7 standard likely.
Today: 7 OVERALL, 8 EXPANDED, 3 (YES 3) STANDARD LIKELY!
Have faith, have faith, John and Sarah are NOT THROUGH YET.

As with all the polls, I have to wonder more than anything, “are the pollsters calling only city dwellers? Are the rural voters being polled?” I see no indication of that in their stats.
My thoughts are that if you only call people in the cities, you’re going to get a more urban mindset than if you include the boonies. I’m not using “urban” as code for AA, but it’s just a different mindset living in a big city than it is in the suburban and rural areas of the country. I think this is one reason polls always seem to favor Democrats, then we always are shocked when Republicans do so well on Election Day.
The same thing is very observable during the primaries, when they break it down by cities and areas of a state. But I never hear that being done or accounted for in the “national” polls.
So, I tend to believe they are making most of their calls in the cities, resulting in a stronger showing for Democrats, but in the end, when you mix in all the outlying areas, it changes dramatically.
Chins up, folks! There are TONS of small towns!

Actually, guys, that could have a smidge of truth. These non-profit boards (I’ve been on one) are not exactly “close ties.” You generally share common goals. Ditto for academic consortiums on topics. I’d have to see what the participants actually said. And ditto for fundraising parties.
So McCain’s tactic is closer to accurate.
It’s not the perception that he and Ayers are alike, it’s the lying to the public that should be the focus.
Just say….yeah, we talked at a liberal conference, he gave a party, and I worked with a board.
What’s telling to me, anyway, is that he lied about the details of the fundraising party. That COULD be misremembering. Or a very sure sign that he has no problem at all just lying to the public.
I know, people went nuts over Hillary and Bosnia. The fact that they aren’t going nuts over his lies proves the point. They used that to smear her, because of her sex.
I agree with Lark, whom I don’t think agrees with me on many positions. On this one issue, we’re on the same page. Misogyny is the real story of this election.

We all as citizens have a duty to ensure that the voting franchise is protected and not dilluted. It is what much of the world looks to us to represent. The ends do not always justify the means.

I was 19. And nobody said circling names was illegal.
My “mentor” was a great Italian fellow. He just took a shine to me.
He cultivated me to take over.

Well, I think all AA politicians come up through community groups that many middle Americans would, indeed, consider subversive.
But that’s their path.
To even get the first donation, an AA politician must get it from those who fight for minorities.
That means….all of them have roots to these organizations.
It’s odd, but Obama’s willingness to throw people under the bus has worked to convince people he’s trustworthy, in an ironic way.
He won’t stand by old loyalties is what people are seeing, which is good, since a lot of those old supporters are way too radical for middle America.
So he effectively convinced middle America that he “gets” it. If he wishes to be president, he must ditch the former support system. He’s done that. That’s why, I suppose, even his lies help.
I also think that his willingness to distance has even moved someone like me to the position where I’m not voting for him, but I’m not particularly afraid. I can see good from his election.
I DO think the entire Washington DC system needs to be shaken up, and he’s not the guy to do it.
I think we’re going to see entirely too much compromise with power. And we way too vulnerable to withstand it.
He could be, in fact, disastrous as a president.
I don’t see the passion for the country, so it’s a “head trip” with him.
He may end up being the first very bad, bad AA president of the country.
I think we absolutely need a shake-up. McCain’s compromises with his party have weakened his image with me. Obama’s compromises with Pelosi and Reid are the same.
I’m personally not optimistic with either candidate. I just think we have 2 weak candidates running.

Regarding Obama illegally receiving (actively raising) foreign funds for his campaign, I have been noticing the number of individuals who have stopped fraudulent charges on their credit cards to Obama of either $2000 or $2300. On ThreatsWatch this morning Jay wrote about a “recent disclosure of a ‘highly sophisticated credit-card fraud ring’ in Europe sending ID information to Pakistan.” Somewhere else, in a more vague memory, I read that Obama’s Columbia U. roommates, both Pakistanis, were raising foreign funds for his campaign. Anyone know anything else about this?
Also, we know there is a great big blank in Obama’s record of his years at Columbia. Ayers was in New York at the same time and they both went to or were members of the socialist organization there and I believe they both were community organizers in New York. This gets little mention — Obama’s community organization days are almost always identified as taking place in Chicago. Ocasionally Harlem is mentioned.
At any rate, I am making this connection because I believe Ayers (and through him “c”ommunists aka socialists) is/are involved in much, if not most, of Obama’s political progress and Presidential campaign. And Obama, Ayers, and the Pakistanis must have known each other. If Obama is to be President of the World, then campaign contributions from Pakistan, the Middle East and Persian Gulf, and Africa must be “legal” in communists’ and foreigners’ minds. And it must be thrilling to donate (steal) money from “wealthy white Americans” to elect the very man who will bring them (us) to their knees.

Saturday night I was watching Fox News (go figure) and caught three morons (no relation to anyone here) and one half way decent lady talking about this election season being rough. Two Democrat talking heads were going on about the alleged racism of the McCain campaign. Their point is that, of course there is racism and McCain’s campaign is catering to it. Just exactly who is Palin talking to anyway when she’s talking to “Joe-Six-Pack”?
Isn’t she talking to all of those low-brow, low wage earners who live in trailers, drink beer, watch Fox News on their 10 year old tv and think its amusing to burp the alphabet? After all, isn’t that the only people who would be so crass as to disdain the Obama-messiah, going against the historical destiny of our nation to elect the first black president?
You know, my grandpa was kind of like Joe Biden’s dad. He was always saying really homey, cool stuff. Like, “Girly,” he always called me “girly” because I’m a girl. He’d say, “Girly, if you’re gonna be arrested for stealin’ a pack of cigarettes, you might as well steal a carton.”
It’s time that all the AoSHQ people came out of the closet and admit it. You live in trailer parks and drink beer. Or, at least, you have visited a trailer park or even driven by one a couple of times. You have definitely drank a beer or some other alcohol related beverage once in your life. Even if it was only communion wine at some friends wedding.
Of course, you support McCain. He is married to the ultimate queen of Joe Six Pack: the heiress of a beer distributor. That fact alone makes Cindy and John McCain tantamount to the Grand Dragons of AmeriKKKa. Every time Sarah Palin uses the word “Joe Six Pack” it’s obviously a coded signal to the rest of the Klan to leave the trailer park, burn crosses, drink more beer, burp the alphabet and vote for John McCain.
For the Hyde Park set, Joe Sixpack is a person to pity, look down upon and sooth their “guilt” with offers of “government programs” and “tax credits” that amount to less than a net increase in income of $500 a year. Won’t even get his kid braces. The Hyde Park set thinks Joe should have saved more money, got a better education and aborted at least one of his three children in order to be better off economically and live “the American Dream.”
Part of the Hyde Park set’s problem is that they only have the vaguest clue about economics as it associates to their personal life and economic choices, but really haven’t got a clue about Joe’s contribution to the economy. They complain about the price of arugala going up. Exactly who does Hyde Park think delivers the arugala to the super market?
What Joe Six Pack wants isn’t more government hand outs. Joe Six Pack wants the economy to pick back up so he can deliver more arugala and make his own money. He wants the price of oil, thus, diesel fuel, to go down and stay down. Joe Six Pack has been around for awhile and he he has about as much faith in “alternative energy” vehicles as he does the government. There isn’t one yet that can pull a load of arugala over the Rockies. He sure doesn’t have much faith in the government and the only thing he wants from the Hyde Park, arugala eating set is for them to open their wallets and buy more arugala.
Joe will be happy eating iceberg lettuce as long as he’s making enough money to pay the bills and get the kid some braces. And, he will live in the trailer and eat iceberg while he plans for a future where he might own a small fleet of trucks, maybe five or ten, where he’s delivering arugala two or three or ten times a day and his small business is making over $250,000 a year.
Joe Six Pack doesn’t need a business degree from Wharton to know that any time the government is talking about raising taxes on anybody while simultaneously talking about increased spending, Joe is going to get screwed. Some candidate can give Joe a tax break that nets him $500 a year more in spendable income, but he’s going to end up losing a couple thousand in the long run because companies paying higher taxes aren’t going to be buying as much product and are going to raise the prices on the stuff that Joe buys.
What’s that $500 going to do for Joe Six Pack then? His buying power has been essentially mitigated by government induced inflation. He might as well head out to his grill, light it up and toss that $500 on it to cook some cheap hamburgers while he drinks his six pack of beer.
When Obama is president, Joe Six Pack can look forward to his nightly news filled with Joe Biden and government surrogates explaining to him how they will now have to raise taxes on everybody in order to pay for the ever increasing deficit. It will be everybody’s patriotic duty to pay.
If Joe Six Pack has the audacity to complain about the lousy presidency of Obama, who raises taxes on oil and gasoline forcing the price to go back up to $4 or $5/gallon in order pay for these phantom “alternative energy” programs that still haven’t produced more or cheaper energy, and certainly no eighteen wheeler that can pull loads of product, he can look forward to being told that he is a racist, unpatriotic, idiot who just doesn’t understand how 10% inflation, the retraction of the economy and heating and fuel prices he can’t jump over is insuring national security.
The Hyde Park, arugala eaters just can’t figure out why Joe Six Pack consistently votes “against his economic interest.” Surely, they think, Joe Six Pack has to see that getting government hand outs in the form of “refundable” “tax credits” is better than earning his own money his own way. Even if it means giving up some economic and political freedom. And, having received this redistribution of other people’s wealth, he should be looking forward to the day when he finally makes enough of his own money to pay it back by supporting some other ignorant Joe Six Pack who hasn’t made it out of the trailer park under his own steam.
Joe Six Pack is supposed to sit down, shut up, take the government hand outs he is getting and drink his beer. He should be happy, too, because the “liberals” in control of the government haven’t outlawed beer. Yet. Gay marriage? Check. Running naked through the streets equals freedom of speech? Check. Drinking a six pack of beer and complaining about the socialist government? Soon to be illegal, if current activities are any indicator. He sure can’t smoke wherever he wants to and in some places they are already telling him what he can eat.

I do think the country is ready to move to more responsible federal government.
I think Katrina shook everyone to their bones. It’s one thing to complain about interference. It’s quite another to realize that we’ve been supporting such an ineffectual laizee faire government.
That crisis was so mishandled that we’re still feeling the reverberations.
I want a responsible federal government, able to respond to people in a real sense.
I have no interest in continuing a Bush regime, which has gutted all the agencies which serve people. I have no interest in continuing to support corrupt CEOs. I worked for 5. McCain isn’t lying when he says: They are corrupt. These are basically sociopaths with a shine. They are money-mongerers. They will destroy stockholders in a heartbeat, without a blink of conscience.
And they have done so.
McCain is a risk. He’s Republican. Frankly, the primary reason he gets my vote is that he’s at a stage in life where nothing matters but doing good. I trust that.
Obama is a risk. He’s in the pocket of some very powerful forces. He may THINK he can do good, but I’m not sure he won’t compromise his way into the opposite.
I’m voting McCain.

Northland Couple Warns of Political Credit Card Fraud

NORTH KANSAS CITY, MO. — A North Kansas City couple has been left scratching their heads after they became the victims of a political scam.
Steve and Rachel Larman say a strange credit card charge appeared on their statement this month — a $2300 donation to Barack Obama’s presidential campaign. The Larman’s say they don’t want this to be about their political affiliation, but they say they’re not about to give the Obama campaign any help from their pocketbook.
They said they notified Chase, their credit card bank, to report the fraud.
“(They) said that they were familiar with this,” said Steve Larman. “It was fraud, they believe through telemarketing but they were going to be doing some more investigations.”
The Larman’s don’t want their politics to enter into what is essentially just a fraudulent charge. But they say that the charge involves the Obama campaign adds insult to injury for the registered Republicans.
“They (Chase) kept on asking me ‘are you sure you wouldnt have gone to a site in support of Obama’,” said Rachel Larman. “And I repeatedly said ‘Im voting for McCain – I would not be going to an Obama site’.”
Chase dropped the charge from the Larman’s card. The couple is thankful that they caught the charge on the card, but worried that others may not see that type of fraud on their own credit cards before it’s too late.
“You always get emails saying be on the lookout,” said Rachel. “So I just wanted to get the word out, that there’s someone out there perpetrating this against people, and to pay attention.”
The Obama campaign said they were aware of the Larman’s story, but did not have any comment.

I honestly wish that the clintons were in charge. the economy is crashing. THEY know how to handle it. in terms of the economy, McCain is average. Obama would be a disaster. anybody who expects obama to handle the economy as deftly and precisely as the Clintons are going to be badly disappointed. As far as the API Michelle rant, the source (API) says it has the audio tape of the conversation and will post it on their website later…We will see!!
Here we go again with another “Michelle tape” this was done in the primaries with the infamous “whitey tape” that the Obama camp even responded to by leaking “clarifications” as to what she said. Bottom line is it distracted us back then and this is going to once again take us away from ACORN, Ayers, etc.
Notice Obama’s talking points about McCain”erratic” .Do you think anyone would question his prevarication? Do you think he is “to be clear” decisive? Apparently the media dn get the irony of Obama’s projecting onto McCain his own issues.
Obama uses the term steady to describe himself. Um isn’t that the term used most frequently to describe Bush?
The exact same tactics are being used against McCain that were used against Hillary. He is truly running against the entire msm.
Obama also uses “um” and “y’know” and “let me be clear” as fillers why he’s trying to think of what lie/spin/bs he’s going to say, without really saying anything. In other words, he doesn’t want to take a position b/c he’ll probably have to backtrack/recant later b/c he doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

Now I feel that I know everything I need to know about BO, his campaign from its early start, his career, his associations, his training, the purpose for his labor, of the Democratic party of the present day, of the leadership of the democratic party, the hubris of his campaign staff, the way and the reason they answer or do answer or address current questions on relevant issues or concerns, etc. etc.
These people, all of them, but beginning with BO are set on an specific course to create ‘chaos.’ The more chaos, disorder, uncertainty and confusion about each Independence issue is what rationalizes the whole object and goals. Chaos is what leads to the meme ‘CHANGING AMERICA,’ ‘CHANGING THE WORLD,’ AND ‘HOPE.’ Nothing else is the matter. They have no interest in solving one single miser problem or doing anything positive to solve any issues.
Case in point.
Pelozi yesterday revealed a proposal to bring to the attention of Congress a plan to issue a new stimulus package worth 300 billion dollars.
This lady is not a ignorant person. She knew exactly what she was doing. It was specifically design to derail the stock market recovery by introducing uncertainty and dependency (in other words – fear). Today the market crashed again close to 500 points. This was due not by bad news from the retail sector but by news that the retail sector was dependent on the government for a bailout.
All of it can be summarize as an appetite for chaos in order to legitimize and usher the election of BO.
I don’t follow this one.
The stock market is going to surge and crash for a long time.

The stock market is not a barometer of Pelosi’s comments. It’s well past her.

The market had recovered somewhat from the previous bad week. There was absolutely no need to preempt today’s retail reports. No need to preempt them. She preempted them knowingly and purposely to sabotage the debate and influence the next three weeks. She knew what she was doing. She’s not a dunce.
I think you nailed it about Pelosi. It’s disgusting.
Pelosi has a blow hard article in USA today, spreading her horseshit where ever they will print it. I can’t believe I was so proud the day they named her Speaker of the House. I can’t believe it.

The McCain camp should be pushing that more: Do you really want Obama in the White House with Pelosi controlling the House? If they remind people that Pelosi will be given much more power, they will recoil in horror.
Actually, McCain hit on that quite well yesterday at a rally. I’m guessing it will continue to come up, because this Legislature has a historic low approval rating, as deep as 9% at times.
I think it is also important to remember that the Dow only represents 30 companies.
If you wanted to make things look bad it would be easy to target those companies for political reasons.
The troubles started around the time of the first debate and people with any intellectual integrity know that debates aren’t Obama’s strong suit.

The John McCain ‘talking points’ for tonight’s debate were also publicized on the Internet just a couple of days ago, or so. I thought it was kind of stupid to do that… Giving the chance to BHO to ‘copy’ and ‘paste’…? It was on the home page of MSN, if I am not mistaken. Can someone else saw it?

Sorry, I am so upset that I am making all kind of mistakes. Should I say: Did someone else see it? (or something like that). I am so upset. Talking to other neighbors about this elections, almost everyone in my building are BHO’s ‘fans’. The main reason is because “he is graduated from the Harvard School”!!!!!!!! (and they don’t want 4 more years of the same). And these neighbors are supposed to be white ‘well educated’, (semi-professionals I would say), but, unfortunately, deaf and blind democrats.

In the spirit of full disclosure my leanings are somewhat conservative and I have voted Republican years past, and probably have disagreements with many of you.
As a vistor to your site it would not be proper to be disrespectful, so my intent here is to proffer that on which we agree.
Although I’m conservative, I would not be happy with extreme right Republican control of government with no opposition. Where we agree here is we have a far left candidate, and a far left congress.
I’m relieved to find there are some thoughtful Americans as revealed by this blog.
It will fall to sensible Democrats and independents to halt this radical swing to the left, as Republicans have been neutered. I just hope this site represents more of you than the MSM have portrayed.
