Stand Tall, Women [Update]

That is Dr. Lynette Long’s advice above her posting of this video. She says she thought about posting this a long time. She adds, “It saddens me that not only are women not outraged by this video but participate in this. Again I feel frustrated by the silence that envelopes the women’s groups that are supposed to protect all women not just Democratic women. The task for equality seems impossible at times.”

Sadly, this typifies so many of the comments and e-mails from Obama’s followers. I wish this were a singularly rare instance, but it is not. Yesterday, I got this e-mail from “Charlie Chaplin”:
You were never a Democrat you fradulent moron…At least be honest, i mean really, it’s so disgusting…What else would i expect from garbage, though…
A complete stranger knows all about my politics. And, as these immature Obamabot attackers always do, resorts to childish name-calling.
Barack Obama promises he’s like Robin Hood. The first references to Robin Hood occurred in the 14th century.
Perhaps that’s where Barack Obama and his misogynistic followers are headed — back several centuries, when women were treated like objects and had no rights.
