That is Dr. Lynette Long’s advice above her posting of this video. She says she thought about posting this a long time. She adds, “It saddens me that not only are women not outraged by this video but participate in this. Again I feel frustrated by the silence that envelopes the women’s groups that are supposed to protect all women not just Democratic women. The task for equality seems impossible at times.”

Sadly, this typifies so many of the comments and e-mails from Obama’s followers. I wish this were a singularly rare instance, but it is not. Yesterday, I got this e-mail from “Charlie Chaplin”:

Women still do not have an equal rights amendment to the constitution.

After WWII when the men returned home there was a huge effort to put pressure on women to return to their homes (stifle themselves) and become home makers/housewives again. I believe we are seeing this effort again — certainly some sort of message is getting through to the younger women who buy into the self degrading they are doing for male attention.
Except why are (some young) lesbians falling all over themselves for Obama — THIS is something I do not understand. Like Rachael Maddow and Donn Brazile — why are they so hateful toward older women??
in answer to your last question: it’s a matter of orthodoxy and being “cool.” these women have very little knowledge or historical perspective.
My daughter is a lesbian and her support was first, and foremost, for HRC. She supports BO (now) because she hopes for equal rights.
I have told her that Bo is not guarantee of that – in fact, I trust him less than McCain on that – and all other human rights issues.
If you research McCain’s policies, you’ll see he’s more receptive to things like domestic partnerships and according same-sex couples rights, than Obama is — party affiliation notwithstanding.

Yeah, Obama is actually worse. He not only takes money, he signed H.R.6 Bush/Cheney Energy Bill of 2005 throwing billions at nuclear industry and making taxpayers liable for cleanup when they get sloppy. McCain didn’t vote for that bill, neither did Clinton.

The new nuclear technology is not like that used in reactors built 30 years ago. Nowadays they use a “mesh” and the reactors can be much smaller, more efficient, less waste, and so forth. I know there continues to be an issue ragarding treatment and storage of high level radioactive waste, but I think the treatment technology can be perfected, and I don’t think nuclear power should be ruled out. It certainly is the favored source nearly everywhere else in the world, not that our energy policy should be driven by the Jonses, but it is something to keep in mind.
That is still a long way off. Yucca Mountain is nowhere near ready to accept waste and Hanford is having a difficult time buiding the most expensive waste facility ever built–its completion is years away.

When this is complete against the background of the benign candidate of hope and change that the media has been pushing on us all along, Obama bin Biden will look like either the Manchurian Candidate or the Antichrist/Beast and McCain will emerge victorious. I would say there is a difference between the poor and downtrodden and the sewer people. I really don’t blame the poor and downtrodden for voting for Obama because the Republican Party has never shown any compassion at all to struggling people.
But the sewer people, an example of which we see here, are a disease and an abomination and they will multiply and infest everything if Obama is elected….especially if Obama follows through to any extent on his patron’s (Soros) crusade to legalize drug use.
For anyone with eyes to see and ears to hear, this video epitomizes Obama and his rotten campaign better than any campaign ad or empty, hypocritical rhetoric.
Two things.
One, there have been many many experiments at very very high cost to do things for poor people other than a free education and treatment when a decease impairs them. Most of those experiments have failed. The best situations have always been to allow them to set in by themselves at a comfortable location and try to open some doors of opportunity.
Two, take for example McCain’s proposal to eliminate taxes from unemployment benefits. If you listen to Palin she specifically says, for those who are legitimately looking for work. What does that mean? It means that unemployment benefits will get more stringent for those under McCain. More money for those who are legitimately looking for work but no money for those who cheat. Is that unfair? Is that being cruel?
No, it is not unfair or cruel.
Unfortunately, many of the young people voting for Obama think only of George W Bush, the compassionate conservative, when they think Republican. They don’t think beyond that.
What I believe many people like about Hillary and that is exceptional about Hillary is that she is truly compassionate, but at the same time she knows how to translate that compassion into meaningful programs and policies.
I consider the filthy, rotten campaign waged against Hillary by Obama and the Democratic leadership and their hateful sewer people to be one of the most despicable acts of the millenium.
If this represents our future, we are in one sorry mess.

This video is the result of a decade of rampant sexism in the popular culture. All women are bitches or whores, good for one thing and one thing only. The only difference here? We have a political spin. And why not? Go retro where scantily-clad women were routinely used to sell cars and aftershave and whatever gagging product you were hawking.
But I agree with Dr. Long’s conclusion: this is regressive to the extreme. You have so called journalists saying [about HRC earlier] that someone needed to take her into a room where only one came out, and now with Sarah Palin, we have mainstream comedy shows suggesting that Todd Palin “did” his own daughter.
It’s crude. It’s violent. It’s unacceptable.
I cannot understand how any woman, regardless of age, would put up with this obscenity. But then, we have the elder stateswomen from the feminist movement making atrocious comments about Palin–that’s she not a “real” women, that’s she incredibly stupid, that she has no business in politics. And after the Democratic Primary, I heard Gloria Steinem say that she never really believed that Hillary would win. Why? Because she was a woman.
What’s next? Another round of witch burnings? Let me say this: at this point I wouldn’t be surprised if the first torch was carried and blithely set by another woman.
This election was suppose to be a celebration of how far we’d come in race and gender issues.

The Indian Army enters the Golden Temple in Amritsar (Sikhdom’s holiest shrine) and a Sikh military officer kills Indira Gandhi, then a Hindu nationalist PM attempts to limit the rights of non-Hindus. “Just a few bad apples”.
The Russian Orthodox Church publicly applauds when Russian gays are attacked while trying to hold a peaceful Pride parade and commends the attackers for “maintaining law and order” while the police just stand by. “Just a few bad apples”.
Face facts: Religion of ALL stripes is filled with “just a few bad apples” but I don’t see or hear many Americans complaining about THESE outrages. Why is that? Is it just because some Americans have become absurdly fearful of one particular religion even as these same Americans seem more than willing to give Saudi Arabia–the home of the majority of the 9/11 attackers–a free pass? Shi’ite women in Iraq (under Saddam Hussein) had more personal freedom than their Shi’ite sisters in Iran, and Sunni women in Iraq (under Hussein) had more personal freedom than their Sunni sisters in Saudi Arabia (the Saudis practice Wahhabism which is basically a stricter form of Sunni Islam–think of Wahhabism as being the Puritans against Sunni being the Church of England in American history). Maybe even include “The One” flipping Hillary off to the sound of catcalls from his rabid fans.

I wish McCain had the money to buy a half hour of air time from all of the major networks and show every last disgusting video, every prime time joke about Palin and Clinton, every nasty editorial, every nasty BO supporter in disgusting t-shirts and not say a word for the whole half hour. We may be witnessing the realigning of the political parties. In Canada and England you have as the main two parties, the liberal and conservative, with some splinter groups. The liberal party will be supporting socialistic programs and the conservatives their agenda. The liberal left is now making this possible by bringing in the moderates and independents, who really don’t believe in their values, but the economy is scaring them to death. If McCain could tear off the mask, he could still win this election big time. Obama almost gave it away the other day. In answer to a question, he said the magic words “speading the wealth”. This is the re-distribution of wealth and a socialistic doctrine.
Some good news, went Saturday to call for McCain, met 5 democrats who were working the phones. Went back today and met 6 new democrats there calling for McCain. Biden was in our area today and an hour before his event, there wasn’t a line or hardly any traffic. Compare that to the thousands flocking to see Sarah Palin. Ignore the polls, as the internals at McCain’s aren’t showing that kind of lead. However, we need to get every last vote. Volunteer, do anything you can to help McCain.
