Soldier4Hillary Calls Out MSM [Update]

[Update: Catch Sgt. Patsy (Soldier4Hillary) tonight on her weekly radio show with Sugar: "Our View with Patsy & Sugar" at 9:00 p.m. ET. (More details are at the end of this post.) - susanunpc]

WE HAVE A MESSAGE FOR YOU IN THE MSM: This is OUR ELECTION and it’s time YOU remember it! It’s WE THE PEOPLE who pick presidents! FYI? For those in the MSM? YOU work for US. If we can give them the ratings, damn it, we can take them away! You can get on the bus with us and enjoy the ride, or you can get run over. But there is only ONE side in this election to be on and as of right now WE ARE ON IT!

The Battle May Seem like it’s Over but the War has Just Begun!!!

“Fear is a thief in the night that steals your hope.
Hopelessness is an enemy that kills your will.
I’ve been there once and I will not let them in again.
”I’m and American and I choose to fight.”
-Senator John McCain

No better words have been spoken than the ones that rally the American people to a cause. Words of strength throughout our nation’s history have been known to unite us during the darkest of times and even the best of times.  They will lift you up, motivate you and remind you that this country is worth fighting for.

Theodore Roosevelt stated, “Patriotism means to stand by your country. It does not mean to stand behind the president or any other public official.”

There is no greater disservice that can be given to the hardworking citizens of our great nation than attempting to silence them by having their rights taken away or dictated by a supporter, paid blogger, political party or those within the MSM.

There is no greater disservice to the American people than to label them racist because they used their god-given right of choice.  We don’t stand behind a candidate based on the color of their skin. We stand behind our country. That is why we ignore every comment and remark telling us to stand down and fall in. We should always, and I mean always, side with choosing country before political party, truth before lies and the people over the words of any commentator or pundit even if our choices have us standing alone.

We don’t need the backing of the majority to do what’s right. As long as you know what’s important you will never go wrong. Sometimes the best choice may be a choice or decision that you do not want to make at all. But it is necessary. There will be times when what you may want will not be what you get. And what others in the Democratic majority may personally feel they need is not always what our nation and its people may need.

Sometimes the right choice is the one that is hardest to make. Nothing in life is easy, and not everything will be handed to you. Sometimes you may just have to dig down deep and work for it. Nothing in life comes freely. What we all love the most about our country is that here, anyone can have the chance to live out the American dream. They can be whatever they want to be, and choose whatever path they want to take.

We have all earned it. You have earned it.  I HAVE earned it. And I will always continue to push forward and fight, each and every day.  When I make the transition - with pre-determined medical issues – into the civilian world, I want to ensure I have every avenue available to me. Every opportunity for success and every chance to have a portion, no matter how small, of the American Dream.

I found my way, chose my path and found my voice. I am one of many. “Quitting” is not a word I understand.  “Giving up” is not an option I will choose.  And remaining silent will never happen.  I will not and cannot take steps back. Now is about moving forward.  It is essential that we, as a whole, united, do what is right, no matter how many people will tell you that it’s wrong.

We only have one chance to make to make: the right decision and the best choice. The ability to choose – your right of choice – does not come color-coded. It doesn’t matter if you are black or white, man or woman, rich or poor. We all are entitled to make our own decisions based on our own judgment.

The first mistake you made was not paying attention to the writing on the wall. Because if you did, you would know that there is a movement underway and it’s moving fast and it is moving strong.

It was born from watching the best candidate for president get destroyed daily by her own party, the Obama campaign and those in the MSM. It was born from knowing that somewhere, there are little girls with big dreams who could one day become the next Commander in Chief.  It came from the mothers who can barely make ends meet and do without just so their families can barely get by. It’s from the blue collar workers who just lost their jobs and are tired of empty rhetoric and false promises by candidates whose issues change from day to day.

It was born from the heroes and sheroes deploying to the same place year after year with no end in sight. It came from the ones who want to give up, but find a way to keep on going. It started from the ones who have been constantly knocked down, but keep getting back on their feet. It came from those moving forward who never look back.

We all have a dream of change. A change that will put our nation back on the right path. Where putting the safety of our country is the first and foremost priority. Where people would stand up and fight for what they believe in. Where cries of racism is not the way nor the means to achieve a goal. Where the media reports the news instead of their biased opinion. Where it’s OK to vote on who is best to lead our country based on a candidate’s experience.

This election is historic for many reasons. But as of right now, there are so many people who will no longer be affiliated with any group or group(s), person or person(s), that would allow a political party to play the race card every time something does not happen or go their way.

There are so many people who will not stand by silently as they watch people falsely accused of allegations that bear no relevance or have no relationship to the situation at hand. There are so many people who  will not be part of a political party that utilizes character assassination to achieve a goal.  There are too many people who will look the other way as a woman, despite party affiliation, get attacked daily by those in the MSM.

We will not quietly sit by and watch the destruction of our country.  We will not support, vote, or show any loyalty to those who sit quietly aside and allow this to be played out in the court of public opinion. The political party we once knew is a political party that exists no longer.

As for me? I choose to stand behind those who understand and represent all the fundamental values our country was founded on.

I will no longer listen, allow, or justify language or actions made by anyone – no matter what party they belong to – if their intent is to cause racial divide as a means to gain the upper hand. In plain terms for better understanding? If you want Senator Barack Obama to win in November, you might want to log off your computer and go out and put your feet to the pavement and fight for it. There will be NO blank checks written in November.

Girl you got me tearing up pretty early today!!

But it’s true. Thanks for saying it.

The debate was ok. Mack won imo but it doesn’t matter it seems anymore. The media even FOX thought he lost.

pissants

Comment by kenoshaMarge | 2008-10-16 09:10:36

They don’t think he won because they do not and cannot understand his message. Anymore than they understood Senator Clinton’s or Governor Palin’s message. Because these people are not talking to our nauseating corps of elite pundidiots. They are talking to the average American. They are talking to Joe Sixpack and Joe the Plumber and even Josephine the Plumber. (Remember her?)

Any message that is honest enough or simple enough that Mr. and Mrs. America can discuss, and understand, at their kitchen table is waaaay beneath the notice of these people.

Only Sean Hannity and Greta Van Susteren seem to understand. And the fact that I even typed that makes me wonder what upside down world I have wandered into.

Any Democrat that thinks that their elitist party cares one hoot in hell about blue-collar folks is delusional. Nor does most of the Republican leadership. That’s why the leadership wanted Romney. The people wanted McCain. And in that nasty party that we used to hate so very much and call corrupt, the people’s voice is what was heard. Win or lose, John McCain was at least the honestly and democratically chosen choice of his party.

well, I watch every debate, and I supprorted Hillary by donating to Her campain, but, after last night, I will not support Hillary again. She supports the wrong ideology , and for me is betray.
I am hurt and as now Independent , I am turning more toward McCain!!!
He is absolutely right, that Obamas 94% tax cut to people who are making less then 250.00 is a joke. How in the hell people like JOE THE PLUMBER will be able pay health insurance, and disent wages, to His employees??? NO way!!!, and Barrack is telling Him that His taxes will go up from 36% to 39%, how then any one can do any business. McCain is so right, because only those who have a lot of money are able to give people jobs. Communism is about a big corporations, and what Obamas is telling US, that is what will happend. Obamas ideology base on Marx/Engels(fathers of communism) are just as Obamas. But the wors thing is, with this ideology goes; democracy, freedom,my faith or no faith. Disarming Americans by taking away Amendment #2, it will be the same, as as what Eastern Europe went for over 40 years.”MY WAY , OR NO WAY” WHAT YOU READ ON INTERNET ABOUT SOCJALISM OR COMMUNISM IS NOT HOW THIS WORK. IT IS ABOUT POWER, POWER,POWER.COMMUNISM BRAIN WASH OUR YOUNGEST, BY TEACHING AS AYERS DO(OBAMAS BODY). Just look at those countries like; Cuba,Korea,China,Russia and this is just few, now Chavez is trying to do the same with Venezuela. When I see kids signing for “Change” or marching like “Black Power ” organisation people, this is just start. Frnakhan ot Jackson remarks are something to think about. I can see, why can not others???MUSLIM HATES JEWS, HOW JEWS CAN SUPPORT OBAMA.??? Just think about. Just look at the history of Middle East, the last 50 years, the want to kill Izraelis so badly.

Hillary needs to shut up. I don’t trust her any more. I can not believe she is colaborating with this fraud to bring our country down. Shame on you Hillary.

Comment by Andrea | 2008-10-16 08:46:54

Don’t disrespect Hillary! She was crapped on by the DNC and Obama in the primaries. She has served her country almost her entire life. She is brilliant and cares deeply about the United STates. It is not her fault she has to ‘tow the line’ with the Democratic party. A Republican would have to do the same thing. It is the way it is–she didn’t invent it. The idiots who didn’t vote for her in the primaries are now crying all over the other blogs that they wish she was the nominee. Well, too late you idiots! I voted for her then and I will vote for her again, in 2012!

Comment by Leisa | 2008-10-16 08:55:18

Where did the fighter go? That is what I want to know. I will not listen to Hillary praise Obama, a product of a corrupt political system who has repeatedly lied to Americans on the campaign trail.

Her standing up and vouching for an untrustworthy candidate is worse than what the DNC did to her. She is putting her credibility on the line for a man I do not respect.

I really wish she would stay out of this and just work for down ticket Dems.

Comment by kenoshaMarge | 2008-10-16 09:14:48

I do too wish she would just work for down ticket Dems. I understand that she has to work for her party. But that she is shilling for the ratbastard that made her and her husband out to be racists makes me much respect for her.

And if she cares so much for the United States and for women’s rights why is she touting a candidate that cares for neither?

I did not and would not join the Obama cult and I did not and will not join the Clinton cult. When I don’t like what she does I say so loud and clear and no damn excuses for bad behavior!

Comment by sowsear | 2008-10-16 13:38:38

I love Hillary, but I don’t want her to work for anyone in the Dem Party. If BO should win, he will be in total control of all of the branches of government, including the Supreme Court with his next appointment. Talk about totalitiarian! And do you remember one time he said something about not supporting the electoral process. I can’t remember the exact words, but wouldn’t be surprised if he’s thinking unlimited terms for himself.

Comment by sowsear | 2008-10-16 14:48:02

Every day for a week, I have sent HRC an e-mail citing the words of Robert Kennedy:

“Every time we turn our heads the other way when we see the laws flouted; when we tolerate what we know to be wrong; when we close our eyes and ears to the corrupt because we are too busy or too frightened; when we fail to speak up and speak out –We strike a blow AGAINST freedom and decency and justice.

if obama gets in, think about “president for life” like castro. no way we will be able to get him out.especially if he gets his private militia (formerly known as hitlers brownshirts). picture all those Acorn members roaming the country armed and under obamas auspices. no wonder he wants to take away our guns. to leave us helpless. he is truly frightening.

Hillary said she is disappointed in some of her supporters going w McCain. May I say Hillary, the feeling is mutual that you would support someone such as Barack Obama with all of his socialism agenda and ties to dangerous people. But I guess all that matters to you is that he has that D behind his name and to hell w our country. But you know what, some of us are tired of working our ASS off so 40% of Americans can sit at home on their lazy ass and collect welfare and any other freebies they can get their hands on and not pay ONE DIME OF INCOME TAX. But by all means support Obama who will take some of my money that I work for and give it to a lazy mooch.

She does not have to tow the line!

OBAMA MALUM COMSILIUM QUOD MUTARI NON POTEST!
Obama is a bad plan that can’t be changed!

Comment by ComOB | 2008-10-16 09:47:42

With all due respect, that is not the way it is or has to be!

Do you see Ron Paul towing the line? Do you see Romney towing the line? Do you see Huckabee towing the line.

At most, those Republican candidates gave a speech at the RNC convention and that was it. PERIOD! They are not campaigning for McCain, they are not sending mass emails for McCain. They are not towing the party line!

So, in fact, much shame should fall on Hillary’s and Bill’s shoulders for propping up the fraud that is Obama. The only thing Bill and Hillary are accomplishing by doing so is spitting in the faces of their supporters and showing the world that they are just as opportunistic as Obama is.

Much shame on Bill and Hillary for supporting a man and party that will destroy America by turning it into a communist/socialist nation.

Much shame…..

Comment by Liz B | 2008-10-16 11:56:42

My two cents, if I may…
perhaps those who defend Hillary for what she “HAS” to do…
have you considered this? If you donated your time, support, and/or money to HRC in the Primary (and I did), we, in effect, supported Obama and his efforts now. Let me explain my logic:
I will not support the one who defeated my candidate. I have stood by my original choice. I did not choose Obama then, so why would I now?
However, by asking us to now support Obama, and by her words and actions as of late, Hillary might as well be calling us fools for not supporting him in the first place, and the money, time, effort for her was just a waste of time. She has turned our efforts into something that is Bullshit.

How do we ever support or believe her again?
It’s a pure case of “Do you believe me, or your lying ears?”…or eyes…or whatever…

what she told us was: he was inexperienced, was deeply tied to questionable people, had poor judgement, and could not be ready for a three a.m. phone call–
but now, everything is rosy in Obama Land, he is wonderful! In fact, Thanks for the cash guys…would you mind putting some out for BO, too? We are family now, we Democrats, and all that stuff about BO? well maybe I was just caught up in the moment…

Nope, not buying it Hillary. There is no skating around this…either you were lying then, or you are lying now.

I know too much about Barack Obama to ever vote for the man for ANY Public office, apparently Hillary has a bad case of amnesia, and wants us to develop it, too.

I am voting for the guy who is the opposition of the guy who used-to-be-your-enemy-but-is-now-a-pretty-damned-good-guy, if no other reason than the fact that I’d like to have some credibility.
Kids always see BS first, right? Well, you should hear what my boys have asked me about Hillary since she became Barack’s newest, and biggest fan…they remember knocking on doors, and traveling to distant areas in other states to campaign, and doing it within our own limited budget…
we thought we were doing it for a good cause, and we believed her and ALL that she said, now they are a little more cynical, and that has nothing to do with Obama, and everything to do with Clinton herself.

McCain/Palin 08

And just what do you expect her to do? She has things for the American people she has been dreaming of and planning for for years. Do you want her to give up any possibility of getting any of those thing accomplished. If she were to go up against the Democratic selected candidate she would become completely ineffectual in the Senate.

She has to do this for her to ever have a chance of winning another election of any kind. She is the Senator from New York, not exactly a Republican state.

She’s no Joe Lieberman, she’s Hillary Clinton, Senator from New York and after Obama loses, she will have a chance to be candidate for President Hillary Clinton in 2012.

Be mad at the DNC, be mad at the MSM, be mad at the whole Obama team, but come on, Hillary’s always seen the big picture. Lets us do the same thing.

Comment by Tuppence 411 | 2008-10-16 12:00:41

Hillary last night was the final straw for me. Brought tears to my eyes. 1.) She looked like a tortured POW injected with the kool-aid. 2.) Her body language did match her words. At points she was shaking her head no while praising the One. It was the final straw for me. I can’t stand what has happened to women. I can’t take it what Barky has done to us. We have young woman wearing tee shirts calling another woman the c word and they think its cool. We have the term reproductive freedom turned on its head. Sarah Palin is not free to give birth to a wanted special needs infant. we have strong role model woman degrading another woman’s success publically simply because she belongs to another political party. We see woman leaders abandon another woman on issues of equality and remain silent in the face of misogyny. Last night, I watched the dials on CNN, the focus group woman consistently dialed against their own self interests in order to support Barky. Then to have Hillary come on TV to support him- It was all too much for me.

Comment by Liz B | 2008-10-16 12:10:55

After Obama loses?
With Hillary on the trail shilling for him all the live long day that’s a bit counterproductive, wouldn’t you say?

“Bill, I have to go campaign in a few states I won this weekend and ask my former voters to support Barack, cuz you know how much I want him to lose, so I can run in 2012, so just a few more convincing speeches and I’m sure I will have helped to dissuade all my former supportors from voting for Obama instead…Thanks Bill, I knew you would understand the strategy my excellent team of former campaign strategists helped me to come up with, now that we are all on Team Obama…
yep, knowing how much I want him to lose we decided i should double my efforts to campaign for him…no well earned vacations for this gal, I am on a mission”

Cleffnote, when you can explain how helping to elect the guy you want to lose is a logical strategy, I will be quite willing to listen, until then I am just scratching my head and asking WTF? You know what they say “Denial is not a river”

Sorry but you are 100% dead wrong. The media (aka your “msm”) does NOT work for us. They work for the corporations who own them and set their agenda to make money off of ratings. Please tell me you do know that…. right?

That’s an extremely ignorant comment to say the “MSM” works for us.

NBC is owned by General Electric

MSNBC is NBC and Microsoft

CBS is connected to Westinghouse Electric Company / Viacom

ABC is connected to Disney

and so forth…

They have much bigger agendas than reporting real news- they are about profit and nothing more

BJ: In THIS economy, this administration, this cynical time, you are correct. By their status as the “Unnoficial” branch of the government, according to the Constitution, The 4th Estate, US means United States. Their access, privelaged and protected by the 1st Amendment, Press Passes and preferred seating / best angle on proceedings, interviewees veering off course, however briefly, to answer MEDIA questions (which are supposed to be OUR questions)exist because the framers of the Constitution knew that an informed electorate is the bedrock upon which a free people stand. In that sense, msm not only works for us; they are us.

Quite right the MSM does not work for us. They have not done so for a long while.

But be sure about one thing, we are not a people run by a government. We are a country run by corporations. And the corporations are trying to sew up all the resources in the world — see World Seven.

Government are simple tools used by corporations to manipulate the population.

This economic meltdown is no accident. There are people who own enough of the market to maniuplate that just as Rockerfeller manipulated the banks prior to the Depression then rushed a bill through the House and Senate for …..?

drumroll please!

The Federal Reserve.

This time they didn’t sell poor people “penny stocks” they sold them overpriced homes. Then they called the piper to gather you all (I didn’t buy thankyouverymuch) to follow him in fear to the promise land …

cue the buggles now …

Obama! Obama! Omama! Oh Mamma! Oh Mamma!

So they rushed a bill through the Senate and House to “save us.” And the party starts all over again. I knew this when Murder Murdoch started snapping up huge pieces of banks. Oh what a great day for a Billionaire! Our loss, his humongous gains!

Then, to see the government take over banks and have the same thing happen all over the world .. YOU ALL DO KNOW THAT THIS HAPPENED ALL OVER THE WORLD RIGHT? Not everywhere but in many place that we know of government took over the banks.

What next? The Amero? The North American Trade Union?

The average American has no clue how manipulated they truly are. Our freedom is an illusion best experienced in a “capitalist” society. But still an illusion.

Comment by kenoshaMarge | 2008-10-16 09:18:24

We have long since stopped getting any “news”. What we are spoon fed 24/7 is corporate “views”.

Average Americans, that are not political junkies and do not surf the net do not receive honest and unbiased facts. Then they are “bashed” from all sides for being uninformed.

Comment by Shiloh | 2008-10-16 07:27:17

Now you are being stupid. Media news is a product like any other product. it doesn’t matter who owns it, one thing is always true: they want to sell it. If they can’t attract eyeballs with their product, it will die. This is why people who think the media is biased are missing a point. It is for sure biased, but even more important, they are a bunch of whores who will do anything to sell their product. they will eat their children let alone turn on their political ideology. They will do anything to get us to watch and in that sense they most certainly do work for us. We need to remember what has happened this year and vote with our eyeballs. I will never buy another newspaper in my life and I will never watch a news program on the broadcast networks.

Comment by joseyJ | 2008-10-16 07:48:51

Exactly! and the media corporations and their Wall Street sponsors want a hip-hop president. Not because he’ll be good for the country, but good for THEM.
If Obamedia really wanted Americans to have Obama’s universal health care and other goodies, they would have been promoting them all along.
Instead, they promote Obama – as a celebrity.

Comment by trails | 2008-10-16 07:59:05

First, don’t watch them. Turn them off; leave their newspapers in their sales bins.

Second, the media is going to in deep trouble if the economy tanks. People won’t have the money to buy their advertised products. Advertising dollars will tank. Tough banana, I say.

Great article SOLD4Hill…Well Done!

I find it IRONIC…Because one of the first casualties under OBAMA’S FASCISM WILL BE THE MEDIA…IT ALWAYS IS…ASK PUTIN OR ANYOTHER GRUNT LIVING UNDER THE THUMB OF TOTALITARIANISM…

Comment by tek | 2008-10-16 08:23:47

Get serious. The media owns him, the media and their corporate owners. Then, the Democratic leaders own him because they made it possible for him to get in the WH. He will no doubt attempt to rule alone and behave like a dictator, but he’s got a lot of people who could bring him down in an instant. No, we’ll have the corporate agenda just like we had with Bush. The media will turn on Obama though because if they don’t, they can’t sell news.

Comment by lark | 2008-10-16 08:53:51

I like what everyone said up the thread. Everyone. But yes the media will prosper under any circumstance with the ensue of Socialism. That’s because the government will provide the means for people to buy their product.

The biggest problem we have today is the rule of the computer. The computer/internet works both ways. It works to save us but it works also against us. Corporations are able to collude with great ponzi schemes and government too. It is easy today for powerful people to communicate and know what each other are doing and coordinate. We have very little power left, but we still have free speech and access to each other.

So up to now, even though economically, we have no power anymore, no breaks, we can still choose not to buy. That’s the only power we have. If the economy doesn’t work for us, or the MSM, even thought we get no breaks, we at least can go without. An Americans, even though like comforts, are also strong enough and have the backbone to exercise discretion and withhold.

So while we are vulnerable, very, we can still resist the computer collusion of the markets, including markets like Craigslist and EBay, by postponing our purchase until we get what we are looking for. The power is still in the wallet.

And BTW, women have here as much power as men.

Comment by workingclass artist | 2008-10-16 09:49:52

We should have a law in this country against corporate ownership of media. The media should be independent. The fact that we don’t have such protections proves that Congress is complicit and corrupt.

Comment by Shiloh | 2008-10-16 08:47:37

Somebody has to own them.

Comment by lark | 2008-10-16 09:05:47

Yes, but the problem we have is leverage. The capitalistic free market left us when company can raise debt to the point of buying their economic rivals. That in every area of the economy. This is wrong but is very difficult to fix.

The idea is that if you want to own your competitor, you need to buy it with your own money. Do you understand that?

If an apartment complex owner wants to own more apartment complexes in the same local area, he needs to buy those apartment complexes with at least 50 percent asset leverage including at least imo 25 percent cash.

What has happened and still happens, and the derivative problems that tanked our economy is all about is that we allow people to own property (economic assets) without a penny to their name. Even a bet goes out as economic opportunity.

That is the corruption of the system. People who work in the system, to own property without paying for it. Owning with 100 / 105/even up to 120 percent leverage.

What is needed are laws that require cash capital plus real assets in order to enrich yourself.

We have FCC oversight over such things; but few people other than media representstives attend regulatory hearings. Anyway, the FCC can only promulgate regulations to carry out the laws enacted by Congress, whose members we elect. And if we fail to monitor the legislation being considered there; and if we fail to monitor our elected officials; and if we fail to replace our elected officials when they enact laws contrary to our best interest then, we get the government filled with people who embellish their portfolios while we only complain about their conduct.

Comment by lark | 2008-10-16 09:13:46

The thing is that people have to pay in advance for goods like Cable TV or a newpaper, and pay with cash. No other way about it.

But Murdock can buy all kinds of properties, newspaper companies, radio and TV stations by issuing bonds and promising to pay interest.

That’s the difference. Credit versus cash.

Yes you can pay for Cable and a newspaper with a credit card just like Murdock can buy a newspaper company with his personal signature, but they won’t let you have a newpaper or Cable unless you pay for it first. Murdock can get his TV station and use it for profit without paying for it. Just a promissory note.

I have more faith in Foreign Press than Us press..I do hope that API will released the audio soon.

Comment by Shiloh | 2008-10-16 08:06:32

Do you always start with the assumption that everything you hear is true until proven false? You might try reversing that logic. Have you read the supposed transcript? If there is a tape the transcript would have been taken directly from the tape. But yet it is full of broken english. It reads like a script for asking you to send money to Nigeria. Why is it bunk – LOL.

Comment by lark | 2008-10-16 09:20:08

I agree that the story is a bunk. We already know what bunk stories look like and how faithful stories work. Evidence goes in first. At least some kind of visual effect.

Shiloh you are right that if the verbatum is from a transcript it would have been blocked as an indentation and not included as paragraph prose. So it shows is a build up.

They may be waiting to release the tape upon a good offer lets say by Fox, but then that would have had happened already. Fox is no sleuth. So I doubt they have the tape.

If they don’t release the tape today, forget about it. Is worthless.

This could open up the Birth Certificate issue and the Odinga thinga.

Apparently they had received thousands of e-mails from those who want to know more about the story based on this original comment from the African Press International.
“recordings [of the exchange] will be released when we are satisfied it is not intended to be misused in any way or for any gains by a group”.

Apparently African Press Intern has been harassed by the Obama camp since the intiial article and their reply is:

“Although we are not hiding anything, we would like to release all the information in the right way in order to avoid misunderstandings that may put us into problems with the Obamas. We do not want to land into legal disputes with anyone.”

Something real fishy going on here….

Comment by Shiloh | 2008-10-16 07:43:52

Yeah, something fishy like the whole story was an Obama plant to begin with. An attempt to get a big story going and then swat it down to make other coming stories that are true look foolish by association. Fortunately it was seen as bunk from the start and remains bunk. if a recording comes out we can take another look. Until then, bunk.

Comment by Rob in Chicago | 2008-10-16 09:17:53

Shiloh:
I agree with you on this story. Not only is it too delicious to be true, the reasoning of API for not immediately releasing the tape (if you have a “transcript”, then you must have a recording) is completely BS. If Michelle called them, and they released an undoctored tape, then on what basis could they be sued, unless they are located in a country (was it Sweden? I’m sure that their headquarters was NOT in an African nation) that forbids taping of phone calls without permission of all parties, and grants a private right to sue. I believe that the O-Bots have been well schooled by Rove and “Rathergate”. Remember that no one wanted to go after George W. Bush after Dan Rather got pole-axed by allegedly fraudulent documents (even if the underlying story was 100% accurate). The trick is to just make the story believable enough so that someone bites, and then rush to discredit one aspect of the story, and the whole issue dies. Remember how quickly all those forensic “experts” released their cries of “FOUL” on the fonts used and called the actual documents into question. You won’t convince me that these “experts” were not already in the wings, ready to pounce, as soon as Rather aired the story. Don’t bite on this API story, as it is a set-up and a ruse to make the entire issue toxic.

Very frustrating indeed.

I watched the Nixon documentary running on PBS this past week. They went through Nixon’s challenge against Kennedy.

It was only after watching this documentary that I realized how true it is when they say that Obama is like Kennedy.

What the documentary shows is that the MSM were all in the tank for Kennedy. The way they described it was that Kennedy could do no wrong and Nixon could do no right. I heard them say “Nixon would serve up a hot dish to the reporters and Kennedy a cold one and the reporters would prefer the cold.”

I thought they meant that Obama had the substance of Kennedy. I knew that wasn’t true but this part, they surely got right.

Frankly I think the man becomes scarier all the time. He is “Slicker by Degrees.”

And when a prophet becomes a puppet, Chucky will be resurrected.

That Chuck is one scary mofo.

And so is what is happening right before our eyes. Bush was so stupid so as to be dangerous. This one thinks himself so smart and precious he will be a danger to himself — as his history shows, he has poor judgment.

Notice this about all megalomaniacs. They are all smart and put on a great show as leaders but in history they have been simple egomaniacs that eventually self-destruct and/or screw up the lives of millions. See: Lil Kim (no ‘lil Wayne I say), Castro, Puto Putin, KGodawful Kadafi, Musharraf, Pol Pot, Idi Amin … history is replete with stories of such losers.

Why do humans always fall for these charlatans? I’m not sure but I figure religion has set us all up with a Messiah Complex.

Comment by tek | 2008-10-16 08:09:06

The sad fact is that what Obama and Kennedy have in common is that the Republican before them was so criminal that Americans were ready to vote in the mob to get rid of Republicans. I feel sorry for John McCain. I think he is an honorable man. I feel even more regret over Hillary. She would have been a GREAT president but evil men in her own party destroyed her candidacy. I feel very much afraid that the Democrats will destroy the Clintons all together if Obama gets in. It would take a revolution to change that.

Comment by Pyromancer76 | 2008-10-16 07:21:18

Soldier4Hillary, yours is a great message to the MSM: “This is Our Election and it is time you remember it”. However, there is a problem that I think all of us must face: There is no Main Stream Media anymore. We now have shills for certain corporate owners who are controlling what their commentators say. This is one of the most dangerous states in which to exist if one wants to preserve democracy, from either a conservative or a liberal perspective.

I keep asking myself why?, and I can only think about the US being the last country that has not been completely homogenized by corporate globalization; this financial crisis has been timed (by the Soros’s of the world) to elect their puppet.

We must begin our own 24-hour-a-day cable channel. I don’t know who the “we” is and what the “our own” means exactly, but the time is right and the fruit is ripe for pickin’. The ratings are tanking for almost all MSM because they deliver tripe or canned information. If all the blog owners, and all the commenters, got our resources together, and if we could arrange for some kind of “sharing” of air time among the various opinions — not easy with brilliant people and strong egos — I think the venture would take off. How about it?

Comment by tek | 2008-10-16 08:14:53

What are you talking about: the last country that hasn’t been homogenized by corporate globalization? The whole problem with the U. S. is that we fostered this movement and unlike Europe we have no common culture and heritage to offset this trend. European countries don’t lose their identities because they have a national identity to begin with, we don’t. We’re supposed to be a melting pot, but we’re really just a bunch of disparate cultures all competing to take ultimate power and the corporations take advantage of those divisions to get control.

European countries have programs and laws to protect their people because they have a national pride and commonality. The third world has bought into the globalization because their countries are already torn apart by power grabs.

Comment by Andrew | 2008-10-16 08:28:09

That is a bunch of crap. America has a common culture. Europe is a crap hole with lots of welfare babies, being overrun by African Muslims, considering Sharia law and dealing with the brunt of this banking crisis. Europe doesn’t have national pride, in fact, Europe discourages national pride. I don’t know where you are getting your information from but don’t use it as a source anymore.

It used to be that “reporters” and the media considered themselves gatekeepers of the Constitution. Walter Cronkite and Edward R. Murrow set the standard for fair and honest reporting. Pompous blowhard Keith Olbermann likes to think he is a modern day Murrow, but he is not. Ohlblowbermann is nothing but a corporate mouthpiece. And Note: the story about some man yelling “kill him” at the McCain/Palin rally was fabricated by the reporter! The secret service investigated and found no other witnesses that heard that yelled. The reporter has no recording or evidence that it happened other than his saying “I heard it”. Just another mouthpiece for Senator Government who conveniently used the story during the debate to propagate his “I’m a victim of racism” storyline to the naive public. Our news is just the wild imaginations of young idiots who probably couldn’t get into journalism school. Or maybe journalism schools are now teaching creative reporting (ie: just make it up)instead of telling the truth and protecting the constitution. How long before Joe the Plumber has to endorse Senator Government becasuse he is visited by his thugs?

Did you see the guy that was on CNN get up and walk off the set? I saw it replayed on FOX. It was the radio host, he is the black man who stood up at McCain’s rally and asked McCain to use Ayers, Wright, ACORN….He was on Fox and Friends this morning.

Comment by tek | 2008-10-16 08:18:15

MSM “liberal base.” The media is owned by corporations–the most conservative group in the country–so how are they the liberal base? Your logic is totally faulty. The MSM is conservative and they support Obama because Obama is the corporate candidate in this election year.

Comment by Shiloh | 2008-10-16 08:21:05

The msm means the news outlets and they are very liberal, the only ideology taught in journalism schools. The corporations that own them don’t care what they sell just so they make money on it. CEO magazine has a poll showing 80% of execs support McCain. So much for Obama as the corporate candidate.

Comment by eurogirl70 | 2008-10-16 08:23:49

precisely!

Campbell Brown is a corporatist Republican. Her husband was Viceroy Paul Bremer’s right hand man in Baghdad and before that legal counsel for the Carlyle Group.

After that he went to work as a consultant on Mitt Romney’s campaign, and we all know that there is no love loss between Romney and McCain.

Andrea Mitchell is married to Allen Greenspan for Pete’s sake!!

Chris Matthew’s brother ran for lieutenant governor of Pennsylvania as a Republican and lost.

The corporate media loves Obama because he is a media creation, a corporatist at heart not a Democrat, and he will give them everything they want!!

Was the media liberal when they were talking up Bush in 2000 and 2004?

Tek is right!

Yeah, like the “whitey tape” that Larry and little SusieQ so ardently promoted and refuse to acknowledge is a hoax?

Comment by Shiloh | 2008-10-16 07:48:44

Why is it a hoax? If I had it I wouldn’t release it yet. It would be foolish to release it yet. In fact, I think this whole API story is an Obama attempt to dull the whitey tape which they know is coming by planting another false story about Michelle so they can swat it down. Tell us it’s a hoax Nov 4, until then saying so sounds like fear.

Comment by Mary Lou | 2008-10-16 08:01:18

The Whitey tape (if it exists) would not be used to
play the race card – it would be used to drive home the truth of what Obama the artificial one, actually believes. (Remember, Michelle is his number one advisor.)
I’m sure you can see the difference between revealing what is true and race baiting.

Comment by candymarl | 2008-10-16 08:34:39

One more time:

1. Obama camp denied existence of said tape.

2. Obama camp admitted tape existed but that Michelle was misunderstood. That the words she said were “why’d he” not “whitey”.

3. The Obama camp confirmed the tape’s existence but disputed the wording.

Now do you understand?

Comment by Shiloh | 2008-10-16 07:52:21

No. There are no deadlines. There is no discovery that can go forward until the judge rules on the many motions before him. He can take as long as he likes. But if it appears that he delayed to prevent voters from knowing whether the candidates are eligible BEFORE they vote, he is clearly complicit and should be removed from the bench.

I am beginning to think the judge knows full well Obama does not have the birth certificate and can never be inaugurated and his goal is to ensure that Biden becomes president instead of McCain.

He’s scared of losing their vote and of being called a racist, which at this point a lot of folks are just sitting on sik’em to pounce on him with that one.

But I feel he owed it to us to expose a bad change for America. Expose the un-American views, the radical views, the socialist views, the bad judgment, the corruption, the bad associations, the qualifications to even be POTUS.

All of us know about these things, but those undecided voters don’t. Those that don’t read this blog don’t. And the MSM won’t tell them, except if they tune in to FOXNews.

Obama is now running a radio ad explaining his connection to Ayers and the Annenberg Challenge. Perhaps now is the time to examine whether or not the allocation of millions of dollars worth of grants had any positive impact on education in Chicago. A door has been opened, and we should look to where and how the funds were dispersed.

In all fairness, if he was not able to use the grant monies to positively impact education in Chicago, why on earth should we expect him to be able to allocate our tax dollars effectively?

But we the people have a job to do ..now..educate Repubs to what is going on..they are not fully aware of what we have experienced the past 8 years and through our dem primary..we need to bring them up to speed now..call your repub friends and family..give them this web site and Just say no deal..get them reading and turning off the MSM..

I spent an hour last night with a man educating..please do not crawl under a rock..that is what the NWO boys want us to do..don’t do it..get out and educate!!

Be the media..turn TV off and be the media with everyone you know!!

The media, rather than being the 4th Estate they were envisioned to be, have become part of the political establishment. Reporters, who used to come to their jobs from the rank and file, are now products of elite schools and through their inbred socializing with elected officials have become, well, their propaganda machines.

It’s a birds of a feather problem.

The only reason the rage is impotent is cause you are on the other side of the computer screen. Say that crap to my face, and well see how impotent my mettle soft ball bat is. Baby Boomers, you kids are a bunch of clueless fools who are so sure of their specialness they will say anything to anyone. Cause wonday they will cross a person who will shoot their behinds and nothing you do to the shooter will bring them back to life.

Soldier, thank you for laying it all on the line! You will never stand alone!
Neither will John McCain!
His type of patriots, through out our history, have preserved this union, which was intended to fulfill the wishes and dreams of people united to live in peace and freedom!
He, and many more before him, saw the OTHER side and vowed to protect this country and what it symbolizes!
Those who will not commit themselves to this goal will sorely regret the damage to our society and our future!
I will never surrender, for my grand-daughters deserve the same blessings that have been bestowed on me!

Great article, soldier. I don’t know how you all feel about the debate, but, seriously, I thought Mccain did a very good job. Yes, he is not the great orator as Obama, the snakesales man, but he did get the point across. Whom I am disappointed in, is my favorite Beltway boys, and Brit, and Crystal, and Juan at Fox. Instead of discussing this as a draw, they got on the wagon of OBama and gave him the debate. Obama did not win the debate, he was hogging the platform, he was given more time to talk as usual by his liberal moderators, and he was playing defensive with Mccain. Yes, Mccain could have been more evil- but- the MSM would be spinning how evil he was- you can’t win!

People absolutely have to start speaking out about the media through protests and boycotts. I just don’t know how we’re going to mobilize people.

I’ve had conversations with a PUMA group that has started a “ground game” campaign to fight Obama. They have volunteers on the streets in every battleground state. They are here: http://www.wam08 (dot) org/

I think they’re doing important stuff, and they have some anti-media materials, but they aren’t specifically focusing on that.

Another group has started a “protest the media” website trying to get everyone to protest at their local media outlets on 10/21. They are at protestthemedia.com

I don’t know if they’ll make it or not. They’ve been going for about a week and are growing really slowly (according to the stats at the bottom they have 44 members). Of course, that doesn’t mean that people won’t see the site and protest without logging in.

It would be nice if all the bloggers could pick a single cause to get behind. I think that would create a force to be reckoned with.

~*~*Great writing, Soldier!~*~*
My favorite line:

It was born from watching the best candidate for president get destroyed daily by her own party, the Obama campaign and those in the MSM.

The MSM and obviously the DNC don’t seem to realize that in this day and time John Q. has resources at his fingertips! We don’t have to believe their biased baloney. And if we are smart, we won’t believe what they say. They are just babbling talking for a paycheck. I say…a computer in every home!

Anyone here who thinks Obama is going to win is just failing to get it. You are being swayed by the polls and the media and the perception over reality strategy. Let me ask you this, are any of you doom and gloomers thinking about not even voting? Because that’s what they are counting on. I’m telling you, Obama cannot close the deal and McCain will win. I suppose after that happens you gloomers will be all “I was never really worried.”

Anyone remember Janet Cooke who made up a whole story for WaPo called Jimmy’s World? Cooke won the Pulitzer for it. When it was discovered that there was no Jimmy and the story was pure fiction, Cooke had to give the Pulitzer back. Today they would let Cooke keep the Pulitzer and say “good job” that’s how low WaPo has gone, but NYT is even lower. What do you think will happen to the reporter who made up a whole story about a death threate being yelled out against Senator Government at a McCain/Palin rally? He probably got a raise and a promotion! Anyone notice how Senator Government cut off McCain last night when he brought up the “Sarah is a C—” tshirts? Why isn’t WaPo and NYT reporting on that? Surely Robin Givhan could do a whole story on the newest fashion in feminist wear!

Interesting story today in the Scranton Times Leader

http://www.timesleader.com/news/breakingnews/Secret_Service_says_Kill_him_allegation_unfounded_.html

This is the same news media that reported the famous “Kill him” story that Palin is being blamed for. This made headline news everywhere and Sarah Palin is still taking heat because she did not “denounce” the statement when it was called out at her rally. It was brought up again just this morning on the view.

Hard to “denounce” something when it NEVER HAPPENED.

“Posted: October 15
Updated: Today at 10:14 AM
Secret Service says “Kill him” allegation unfounded”

One reporter only “heard” this, published it and MADE it fact. The investigation – including the Secret Service can find NO other person who “heard” this “Kill Him” statement.

One partisan reporter started this whole LIE and it became FACT.

That’s sick

Take heart, people. No one in their right mind who ever heard of Jeremiah Wright or William Ayers has forgotten about them and Bobo’s association with them or allegations about Marxist leanings, infanticide, vote fraud, or leftist policies that helped bring on the financial crisis. The info is out there, and McCain doesn’t have to keep reminding everyone. The MSM appears to hope the anti-Bobo folks will dejectedly languish at home on election day instead of rallying every sensible person they know and going in force to the polls. If the Dem primary had been held according to truly democratic rules, Bobo would have lost hands down. So are we to believe that he can defeat McCain, a well-known, moderate, war-hero Senator whose baggage might be enough to hold an elf’s change of underwear? Just list McCain’s negatives and compare them to Obama’s. Today, an anti-Mac person (who’s voting for Nader) told me concerning Ayers, “Obama answered the question about him” as though that should put an end to the controversy. I replied that everyone would judge Bobo on his answer, that his simply mouthing some excuse doesn’t put him in the clear. There’s a huge elephant in the room, in more ways than one!

Obots: Forget the Bradley Effect and Focus on Basic Math

Since team Obama is measuring drapes for the Oval Office and tingles are running up and down the political pundits and news anchors legs, let’s let a skunk into their garden party, shall we. The race for the White House is over on November 4th. And, contrary to the main stream media proclamations, the battle ground races are up for grabs. Let’s really look at the polls:

Every poll has a margin of error. During the primary, KO took every opportunity to remind viewers Obama was closer to Hillary when he was behind and further ahead when he was leading. Now, with three weeks to go in the elections, the media has dusted off the Kil Hil playbook; John McCain can’t catch Obama, he’s “erratic”, he thinks he is entitled to the presidency, he’s racist, he’s has to produce a “game changer” to win the election – nothing is ever a game changer. However, the impartial media is making one gigantic cricket sound on the subject of polling sampling error.

Rasmussen Reports latest data, October 13, 2008:

North Carolina: 48% Obama, 48 McCain, +/- 3
Ohio: 94% Obama, 47% McCain, +/- 3
Missouri: 50% Obama, 47% McCain, +/- 3
Nevada: 51% Obama, 47% McCain, +/- 4
Virginia: 50% Obama, 47% McCain, +/- 3

Colorado: 51% Obama, 45% McCain, +/- 3
Florida: 51% Obama, 46% McCain, +/- 3
New Mexico: 49% Obama, 44% McCain, +/- 4

Statistically, John McCain could win every state listed above if the election was held today. This possibility excludes the undecided voter for each contest. Over the next 21 days, just a positive change in trend for McCain, could be enough to send Barack back to the Senate.

Do the math; Obama could lose enough states to fall short of the 270 electoral votes needed to hang Michelle’s new drapes in the Oval Office.

The counterrevolution will not be televised. It’s viral. Ask Joe, the plumber.

While I will always admire and like Senator Clinton and President Clinton I have lost respect for both of them. They should have bucked the party and fought at the convention not matter if she still lost the nomination or not. They both should have brought up the fact that Obama is not eligible to even run for POTUS because of his citizenship. They should have brought up all they knew about his associations. Carville has been another disappointment. I don’t care what anybody says. Just because you are a democrat does not mean you should sell America out and try to elect this lying terrorist lover as our next POTUS. Screw all the democratic party. I won’t vote for any of them ever again and neither will 283 members of my family. Its over for me. I don’t like anybody selling me out or my country. Senator McCain is right, COUNTRY FIRST.

Comment by Newly Independent | 2008-10-16 17:30:50

Sadly, I agree with you.

No one should their soul for a political career.

I was originally in the Clintons’ corner after they started campaigning for that scumbag because they were politically being held hostage by the DNC.

But for Hillary to state (or even imply) that she was ashamed of the very people who supported her Presidential campaign to the end & are now backing McCain for all of the good obvious reasons is a cold, cruel slap in our faces.

Obama cannot become President of the United States. Period. He’s woefully inexperiened. He lacks moral fiber. He lacks good character. He hates women’s rights. He’s close friends with people who are very anti-American, anti-democratic, anti-working class, anti-poor, anti-capitalistic, and on and on….

And now the Clintons are backing him???
