We Miss DCMediaGirl! * Open Thread

As regular readers know, the quite liberal DCMediaGirl is very fond of the conservative Republican Joe Scarborough. She thinks he’s a great person and is very savvy about politics. DCMediaGirl has written about Joe and posted videos of some of his best moments in “Fair and Balanced and Good For You!,” in “Your Fourth Estate at Work, Folks,” and in “Enough Already.”

Time-intensive real-life duties have forced DCMediaGirl to suspend her radio show and blogging for a short while. (Can you imagine what it’s like in most media headquarters these days?) But I have a strong hunch that she would love what Joe Scarborough said today as a panelist on NBC’s Meet The Press today. Tom Brokaw — the debate moderator who’s so sleep-inducing that pharmaceutical companies are hoping he may provide the next breakthrough cure for chronic insomnia — set up Joe for some insightful commentary:

MR. BROKAW: You, you’ve been through campaigns before, Joe Scarborough, you’re a keen student of what’s going on. McCain is beginning to run out of some options, but we’ve been there before with him.

I think you’ll like Joe’s reply:

MR. SCARBOROUGH: We have been there before with him. A year ago John McCain’s political career was pronounced dead on arrival. Remember, he had that bloated campaign staff in the summer of ‘07, and then of course as we got closer to, to the executioner walking out on stage and finishing it, John McCain came back.

And McCain always closes strongly.

I, I just–I, I want to offer a warning to the Barack Obama campaign, which I’m sure they won’t listen to, but I would say go to Florida, go to Ohio, get out of North Carolina. You don’t have to win 350 electoral votes.

These campaigns always tighten up. We are not a 60-40 country, we are a 51-49 country. And maybe this year it’s 51 Democratic, 49 Republican.

But it’s going to be close in the end, and he may regret spending time in North Carolina. It–maybe it looks like he’s going to win now, but I’m telling you, as we’ve seen, these national polls, when they tighten, all these state races close.

I would just be concerned about getting too clever by half. …

How ’bout that?!?!?! (Hope you get to see this, DCMediaGirl!)

I will repost this again later this morning:

Amazing Ayers Audio Unearthed from Same Week Obama worked with him! Extremist Ayers and Obama views matched almost word for word !
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0xBlTdsnOh8

Ayers talks about being an anarchist and a marxist and says that the people he works with know what his views are.

“I mean I’m as much an anarchist as I am a Marxist”

- - William Ayers

Everyone on this site, please watch this video before YouTube takes it down and send it out to everyone you know, including the media you think will help spread the word.

This is HUGE BREAKING AUDIO UNCOVERED!!

Obama knew this about Ayers!! Ayers was saying this when they worked together!

Please help spread the word on the video and the content thereof. Let’s make the video go viral!

This is the smoking gun on the relationship with Ayers and Obama. The American people need to hear the truth!

We need to get this out to everyone you know ASAP!!

Comment by IronMan | 2008-10-20 01:25:36

That Ayers’ audio and the truth about he and Obama should be a McCain ad ASAP and featured discussion on Hannity tonight!

Susan and larry, I urge you to please post this video in the mornign as a spereate thread. America needs to know about this. Ayers in his own words admitting that he is an anarchist and a marxist dduring the same time that Obama worked closely with him in Chicago! And Ayers also says that the people he works with knows all about his views, that he shares them freely with those he works with!

Time to expose Obama with this now!

Comment by BernieO | 2008-10-20 07:15:27

I don’t find what Obama says in the video is that radical - even Nixon favored treating non violent drug abuse as a public health policy.

To me the video would be a lot better if it were just Ayers, then clips of Wright and Pfleger ranting against white people. Maybe a little footage of Rezko’s slums thrown in. Title it “Obama’s Judgment Reflected in his Choice of Associates”, which is really the point. After all Obama’s only claim to being the superior candidate was his great judgment, not withstanding all those “boneheaded” choices he admits to making.

I would also have each segment introduced with subtitles like Spiritual Mentor/Political Godfather/Friend who helped launch political career, etc. (and Obama quotes to back it up).

I still do not know if Obama is really a leftist or if he is more conservative than the Clintons, since he has been all over the map on issues, depending on which way the wind was blowing. That is one of the most disturbing things about him, in my opinion. He is another Chauncey Gardner - people can project whatever they want onto him. I think he has no core beliefs (except for the childish one that he will cure what ails us because he is biracial). Unlike McCain and Palin who have both had the courage to stand up to the corruption in their own party, Obama has never once taken a risky stand. How hard could it have been to turn against Rezko when it became obvious that the guy was a crook and a slum lord? By then Barack was well established and did not have to have his help. Instead he went to Rezko to help him buy a mansion. John McCain may have a lot of homes, but I bet he and Cindy never had help from a felon in buying any of them.

A question: Did Obama lie to Federal investigators when he said he did not often see Rezko? If so, isn’t that illegal.

Comment by AnninCA | 2008-10-20 09:04:54

I agree, Bernie. I think, like you, that the issue isn’t associations from the past but ones that are far away from what he purports to believe today.

At McCain’s rally yesterday, an interviewed working guy said it, when “challenged” by one of the liberal media to realize that Obama wouldn’t tax people below 250,000. “I don’t believe him. He says that now. He’ll come back for more.”

Bingo! That’s the question voters must ask themselves. Just how much do you trust this guy, anyway?

I personally see no reason TO trust him. He’s not been consistent about anything.

Comment by typewriterstreaming | 2008-10-20 09:21:29

That guy is so right Obama is a fantastic liar and he will so be hitting everyone he possibly can for money. Only a fool’s fool could believe otherwise. Way I see it - even if he “only” hits those 250 plus business - my food is going up, my clothes will be more, everything we buy is going to be more - so that’s raising more than my taxes.

Odinga is where it is at, that relationship is the game changer. The vote changer. 20 people including 3 that were voting for Obama, 4 that were I think I’m going to vote for McCain. The rest I haven’t decided yet. All talking about Ayers. Same comments. That was in the past he’s not bombing anything now. We all have friends that are nuts.

Fast forward to 2006/2007 what Obama was doing then. View Odinga video, the genocide in Kenya. Look at the news articles. Obama campaigning for the man. All 20 now in McCain’s column sickened by what they saw with people being hacked by machete’s. Burned alive in churches. Oh my gosh that was just last year! He campaigned for that man and all those people were murdered!! Using our tax money.

All now including those that were voting for Obama in the McCain column. All found out they couldn’t get their hands on a McCain yard sign, that they were gone. Only two bumper stickers left, several rush to the DMV to change their party because they only had till today to do so…

Same thing happened to Kerry. PS - African Press International state that they will release the Michelle Obama Racist rant within 24 hours (no joke).

It is going to be exciting how they will tackle all the tapes when they are released. I am wondering is he going to have a major speech.

Comment by John Smith | 2008-10-19 23:00:16

Don’t believe anything those people are saying at API. They are a bunch of crooks. Its no different then someone calling you from Nigeria and telling you that they will give you 2 million dollars.

Well - Obama is already set to give a 30 minute speech the night the World Series begins so I bet he will absolutely, with one fell swoop, CON THE WORLD AGAIN with yet another RACE IN AMERICA speech.

Comment by Ai1een | 2008-10-19 23:16:51

This is even if there would, (on outside chance) be any tapes in existence.

Comment by Ai1een | 2008-10-20 01:05:56

WHAT I WOULD LIKE TO SEE IS ALL OF THE ANTI OBAMA PACS (Republican & Former Dems alike) 527′S, PULL THEIR MONEY TOGETHER AND PAY TO PUT TOGETHER A 30 MINUTE REBUTTAL OF OBAMA’S PLANNED 30 MINUTE “SPEECH TO AMERICA” RIGHT BEFORE THE BEGINNING OF THE WORLD SERIES.

IMO, THIS NEEDS TO BE A 30 MINUTE REBUTTAL THAT WOULD FOCUS ON FACTS IN A “SUPER CLIFFNOTE” FASHION - SOMETHING ABSORBABLE TO THE AMERICAN PUBLIC. THE AMERICAN PUBLIC HAS NOT YET HAD ALL THE FACTS PRESENTED ABOUT OBAMA IN ONE CONDENSED FORUM. HE’S HAD FACTS TRICKLE OUT HERE AND THERE, BUT NEVER ALL OF THEM TOGETHER TO GIVE HIM A SOLID PUNCH:

1: OBAMA’S CORRUPT RISE TO POWER
#2: OBAMA’S CORRUPT DEALINGS WITH NOT ONLY AYERS, BUT ALL THE OTHERS AS WELL -
#3. SHOW THE CORRUPTION OF THE CAUCUSES
#4: THE CORRUPT SLEAZES WHO HAVE ENDORSED HIM - (whether he’s “accepted” the endorsement or not)AND GIVE THE MOST NEGATIVE ANTI AMERICAN STATEMENT EACH OF THESE “LEADERS” HAS MADE. (EX: Farrakhan, Hugo Chavez, etc.)
#5: SHOW HIS TRUE CONNECTIONS TO ACORN
#6: SHOW HIS TRUE TIES TO MONEY (SUB-PRIME LENDERS, FANNIE MAE FREDDIE MAC)
#7: REZKO
#8: JUST WHAT MIGHT HAPPEN WITH A SOCIALISTIC PRESIDENT AND A CONGRESS WHO WILL HAVE ENOUGH DEMOCRATS IN POWER TO BE ABLE TO PUSH THRU BILLS THAT WILL LEAVE OUR COUNTRY WITH LITTLE RESEMBLANCE TO THE COUNTRY IT IS TODAY - AND I MEAN THAT IN THE MOST PROFOUNDLY NEGATIVE WAY.
#9: OTHER IDEAS

THIS ABSOLUTELY CANNOT BE DONE IN A BORING DOCUMENTARY FASHION THAT ONLY POLITICIAL JUNKIES LIKE YOU OR I WILL WATCH.

IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT IT BE HOSTED BY SOMEONE TOTALLY DYNAMIC AND CHARISMATIC WHO NEEDS TO LOOK IN THE CAMERA AND COMPLETELY AND TOTALLY LIFT THE LID OFF OBAMA’S PANDORA’S BOX - BLAST AMERICA WITH THE TRUTH THAT HAS BEEN CENSORED BY OUR CORRUPT, MAIN STREAM MEDIA.

THIS REBUTTAL WOULD HAVE TO BE SOMETHING GIVEN SO POWERFULLY AND EFFECTIVELY THAT IT WILL TOTALLY OBLITERATE OBAMA’S SPEECH - LIKE HOW SARAH PALIN WIPED OUT OBAMA’S SPEECH AT THE DNC WITH ONE FELL SWOOP.

IT CAN’T BE SARAH PALIN OR JOHN MCCAIN BECAUSE IT WILL GET COMPARED TO THE MESSIAH OBAMA AND THE MSM WILL CRUCIFY IT.

NO - THIS REBUTTAL NEEDS TO BE HUGE.

THE SPEAKER MUST BE SOMEONE WHO HAS THE RESPSECT OF THE AMERICAN PUBLIC AND/OR HAVE THE CHARISMA TO HOLD AMERICANS GLUED TO THE TV.

TOGETHER,UNITED, THESE PACS/527′S HAVE MORE MONEY TO PUT TOGETHER SOMETHING EFFECTIVE.

THIS IS THE LAST BATTLE HERE PEOPLE. IF THE ANTI-OBAMA PACS STAY DIVIDED - AND LET THAT SPEECH GO (BASICALLY) UNANSWERED - THEN YOU CAN KISS THIS FIGHT GOODBYE BECAUSE THE MAIN STREAM MEDIA ARE GOING TO KISS HIS…FEET… LIKE THEY DID FOR THE RACE SPEECH.

WE CANNOT LET A 30 MINUTE SPEECH GO UNANSWERED.

THIS HAS GOT TO BE WAGED NOW! WHERE ARE THE BIG MONEY REPUBLICAN SPENDERS? WHERE ARE ALL THE 527′S?

FORGIVE THE LORD OF THE RINGS ANALOGY, BUT THIS IS LIKE THE LAST BATTLE FOR MIDDLE EARTH - OUR FORCES MUST UNITE OR IT WILL BE OVER.

IT WAS THE “LITTLE GUY” - THE NOBODY - THE LEAST IMPORTANT WHO SAVED THE DAY - AND, GOD KNOWS, ALL OF WE “SAMS” CANNOT GIVE UP THE FIGHT NOW. WE ALL NEED TO BE PUSHING FOR A UNITING OF THESE PACS/527’s TO GIVE ONE LAST GOOD FIGHT IN THIS LAST BATTLE TO SAVE OUR COUNTRY. WRITE EVERY PAC YOU CAN THINK OF TODAY.

(SUSAN AND LARRY MIGHT BE ABLE TO GET THIS POSTED OR THINK OF A WAY TO GET THIS MESSAGE OUT TO ALL THE PACS.)

ANY OTHER IDEAS?

Comment by imustprotest | 2008-10-20 01:07:30

Good idea!!! This should go to the McCain campaign!

Comment by Country First | 2008-10-20 06:51:29

There’s something wrong with the Republicans and 527s - I haven’t seen a single rebuttal ad of Obama’s lies that’s he’s running over and over on every satellite channel I’ve watched. Maybe the RNC wants McCain and Palin to lose.

Thank you for this post SusanUnPC. It’s good to read when I’m feeling discouraged. Scarborough was so fair with Hillary and I think he might have voted for her had she been the nominee. I MISS DCMedia Girl–always enjoyed listening to her podcasts.

Our local paper ran a piece from the Chicago Tribune today (by Jim Tankersley and John McCormick) that said

About a fifth of the voters remain undecided or willing to switch allegiances, the latest Los Angeles Times/Bloomberg poll suggests. Those voters tend to be older, white, independent, Catholic men who lean moderate-to-conservative — a group Obama often struggled to attract in his primary battle with Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-NY

I don’t think Bambi has totally closed the deal.

Comment by Ani | 2008-10-20 00:01:21

Why are you discouraged? McCain is doing well. This media drumbeat for the Dems is typical - and it’s three times as loud this year for the benefit of Obama. It is meaningless at the voting booth.

People do a gut check at voting time. All the infomercials in the world won’t change that,

Comment by McAnnie Carmel Baracuda | 2008-10-20 03:15:01

I agree Ani. Consider too that people may be over long drawn out teleprompter speeches by now. They just might be a bit peeved that the World Series (a welcome escape from politics) is being put off by Precious.

Furthermore, unless the game is as boring as watching grass grow, will they even remember what he said afterward? Did they schedule wrong? Hahahaha. It will need to be pointed out the next day how he wastes money and annoys at the same time. He just spends, spends and spends some more…all that and getting ready prematurely to have a bash fit for a Sheik while the rest of the country is pinched and worried. He has no ear to the ground. Obviously not taking the pulse of the country. These are big mistakes.

Joe Scar is hardly one to elevate, no matter what.

He has no business in the pundit business to begin with, having been the one to first call all the media outlets when his aid died in Florida and lied that she had pre-existing natural conditions, which was a lie.

I don’t even care if, at best, his motive was to protect the family…he has no business in the news business, as a liar, philanderer and election hijacker.

This is not conjecture. I have multiple media sources who named Joe as the one who misled them immediately after Lori Klausutis’ murder.

Comment by Idiocracy08 | 2008-10-20 01:57:36

Maybe that’s foolish, but it’s my thoughts after all I’ve read about it.

Comment by typewriterstreaming | 2008-10-20 09:28:36

I find Joe a big wuss. He flip flops constantly on his crap show. He’s been a total liar. He takes the truth out every once in a while trying to hold onto his conservative viewers. I’m not even conservative and can’t stand this liar. Glad he said what he did, happy about this post, but Joe is a liar. He panders to Commie Mika and her Commie father. MSNBC should be shut down.

Do we know for sure Obama belongs to the new party or are we guessing?

Comment by Jane the Plumber | 2008-10-19 23:21:49

SnarlingCur,

I wonder why the media isn’t talking about that. this is part of the new party principles. “Social wage” Scares the hell out of me!!

Full employment, a shorter work week, and a guaranteed minimum income for all adults; a universal “social wage” to include such basic benefits as health care, child care, vacation time, and lifelong access to education and training; a systematic phase-in of comparable worth and like programs to ensure gender equity.

Comment by SnarlingCur | 2008-10-19 23:26:07

Their words; “Socialism is the new Liberalism” for the campaign trail.
The media won’t touch that with a 10 foot poll.

Comment by Jane the Plumber | 2008-10-19 23:29:26

Probably won’t do any good but I’m going to email Greta and Hanity and ask them to do a show about this.

Comment by typewriterstreaming | 2008-10-20 09:31:46

Thanks Jane. This is crazy. someone should pick that up. How about this one. Anyone care about the Ethics law anymore?
Obama Broke Illinois Ethics Laws As A State Legislator
http://sayanythingblog.com/index.php
Apparently, on Obama’s released tax records, he discloses income from speaking fees. The problem? Accepting payment for speaking fees when you’re a legislator is against Illinois state law
Apparently, as an Illinois state legislator through 2004, Barack was prohibited from taking honoraria for speaking under the Illinois Governmental Ethics Act
But what about Barack Obama?s 2000 and 2002 tax returns?
2000: On his 2000 Schedule C-EZ, Barack reported that he received $16,500 as a ?Foundation director/Educational speaker.?
2001: On his 2001 Schedule C-EZ, Barack reported $98,158 from a Chicago law firm, Miner, Barnhill, for ?Legal services/attorney? (and nothing for speaking)

2002: On his 2002 Schedule C, Barack reported $34,491 for ?LEGAL SERVCES / SPEAKING FEES.?
These ?speaking fees? are in addition to the amounts that Barack was paid as an employee, a lecturer at the University of Chicago, reported on the first page of his 1040s.
That’s not change we can believe in
Just to sum up, the media can find Joe the Plumber’s tax woes within 24 hours of his having dared to question The One’s narrative, but they can’t find a clear ethical violation in the released records of a man who has been campaigning for President for two years now

What I don’t understand is why the republicans give away crucial information to the other side.
Quit giving away strategy points!!!

Comment by Ai1een | 2008-10-19 23:42:38

EXACTLY Seattle Moss. I was reading this and thinking - “SHUT UP!”

Why would someone who “truly” cares about this country be giving advice and helping someone so utterly dispicable become our President…especially one of the opposite party, one who is probably the most corrupt politician to ever run for the Presidency and at such a crucial time in our juncture? That enrages me to no end. With “opposition” like that - who needs enemies?

Why didn’t Joe Scarborough, or any of these Republican pundits, say something USEFUL for a change…something like:

Let’s remind everyone here - prior to the economic crisis just a very short time ago, McCain was beating Obama in many polls and frankly the American people are unjustly holding McCain accountable for this economic crisis.

If Americans were really fair, they’d take their blinders off and they’d see that it was John McCain in 1996 who was writing and signing letters to gain more REGULATION for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac while Barack Obama, at the same time, had his hand out and was taking money hand over fist from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, so much in fact that he was the #2 recipient of Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac “donations” and EVEN WORSE, was the #1 recipient of SUB-PRIME loan “donations” in our U.S. Congress.

Why don’t they say something along THOSE lines and remind everyone that he was WINNING just a short time ago and in fact, SHOULD NOT, in fairness, be losing to Barack Obama now, especially considering the scumbag sleazy dealings Obama has engaged in.

Comment by snosandy | 2008-10-20 00:28:19

At this point I think Obama has so much money that he doesn’t know what to do with it all. Pretty disgusting with our economy in the tank that Obama just keeps begging for more, more, more to buy himself the presidency.

I’ve been thinking today and wondering if there has ever been an election like this one? What do I mean? Well, to my mind, despite all those MSM types, and the elite who think they rule political races, this has been the year of the little guy.

Think Harriet Christian, who ranted at abused rules; Joe the Plumber, who dared to question The One; all you folks here, who continue to question and prod; and others, elsewhere, who speak up and speak out. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like it. But . . . what do I know? (Very little, actually).

Happy tomorrow, folks.

Comment by Elliott | 2008-10-19 23:24:27

Harriet tonight said that someone in the McCain campaign told her it was 50-50 per their polling. I think she said it was at Dems for McCain office in Scranton. This is on the Confluence’s podcast.

one of the obscenities that the media is not focusing on is the millions of dollars that Obama is pulling in and spending. there are at least three problems here:

1) McCain has it right when he said that history has shown that this much money attached to politics is corrupting.

2) We still don’t know where all this money is coming from — what has happened with the investigation of the “small” donations that total up to the tens of thousands; the phony donors; the foreign money.

3) It’s like the tobacco companies with their false advertising; the garbage that is coming from the Obama ads is corrupting the truth.

Comment by Buzz Latte | 2008-10-19 23:13:22

All Right!!

Joe the Plumber, Ed the Dairyman, and the BBQ Angel have all spoken. Let’s hear from the rest of those fed up with socialist Obama throughout the country!

So glad people are doing this!! We live in a very red state and so there’s no one getting too heated over Obama. They just won’t vote for him. Yes, there is no liberal guilt or latte dreams around here. Just more Joes, and Eds, and BBQ Angels. They will let their voice be heard on Nov. 4th.

As Nixon had his Silent Majority - Obama will get a taste of the Angry Majority that awaits.

Comment by Andrew | 2008-10-19 23:43:35

I liken it to Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar. Obama will be thinking he is getting all the power. Then the angry mob will move upon the campaign and pop the air right out of it. Then Obama will say: “Et Tu, Republica” and then we will all respond “And Obama falls.”

Comment by Andrew | 2008-10-19 23:48:25

Maybe it will be McCain saying “Ita vero” while we say “And Obama falls”. Then Michelle Obama will appear out of no where wielding a machine gun but she’ll break a nail when trying to pull the trigger. Then Odinga will appear talking about Muslim stuff. The majority will crowd around them and laugh as they all cower. That would make for a funnier though less dramatic ending. Ayers and Rezko will fall from the sky and knock each of them to the ground.

The Repubs expected to lose. They were very surprised to get this far with McCain. Repubs do pay attention to the polls despite the theory that they have some ’secret’ polling info that indicates different from all the rest of the polling. Also, they can’t go after Obama. The media will attack anyone that does. Look at what happened to Joe, the far left and the media went batsh!t crazy.

I was waiting for the last debate to be over. It is and they haven’t stepped up, if they haven’t now, they won’t.

Kind of stupid at this point. Obama has the funds to counter anything they might do. McCain just doesn’t have the balls to tell the truth and Hannity has the reputation of being the batsh!t crazy person on the far right. He is not going to win this for McCain.

No ads about anything running my our red state. There’s been a few Obama ones and more McCain, but no 527s.

I guess they need to run them in swing states and purple states where it’s close.

Shocker! Latest polls have McCain AHEAD in both Ohio +1 (NBC poll) and Florida +2 (Survey USA)

Not only do the National polls show a tightening of Obama’s lead, the last polls in each of Ohio and Florida show McCain has regained the lead on both of those states. I guarantee this will come as news to 99.9% of the public.

“Spread the wealth” are fightin’ words here in Ohio. The McCain lawn signs bloomed like spring flower this weekend.

Good. Obama thugs from the U of A don’t allow anyone to put up McCain signs. They rip them out and throw them away.

Comment by KFaye | 2008-10-20 00:19:29

Andrew, I don’t know if this would be your cup of tea. . . but if someone was destroying my yard signs I’d be getting one of those - I’m a BITTER gun owner and I VOTE - signs, and put it out next to my McCain sign.
See if they still think it’s funny to take away your right to political speech.

Comment by Idiocracy08 | 2008-10-20 02:11:46

I would put up a security camera and motion lights. Find out who they are and prosecute.

The bots better not do that in Texas, we have the right to shoot anyone trespassing and messing with our property.

They need to realize that their cute little pranks are not going to change anyone’s mind. It’s just going to piss people off.

These kids don’t realize what it’s like to work hard and EARN your money to buy your house and car. They don’t care that we all have the right to display on our own property who our political choice is.

Breaking News

John McCain suggested that his Democratic rival Barack Obama’s record-shattering fundraising haul will lead to scandal in their presidential race and future races, and he hinted that there may already be funny business going on with Obama’s legions of small donors.

Hope they have juiciness. Wouldn’t it be amazing if they tracked down Obama’s major revenue source and found it was a terrorist organization? Bye-bye Bama.

I’ve been saying for at least six months that I don’t think his base of 18-25 year old high school and college students could possibly be making all those donations (unless they are maxing out mom and dad’s credit cards).

Transcript of that interview here. McCain did really well as Wallace tried to cover for Obama,IMO.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,440632,00.html

And I can tell you this, that has unleashed now in presidential campaigns a new flood of spending that will then cause a scandal, and then we will fix it again…..

And finally, there’s $200 million of those campaign contributions — there’s no record. They’re not reported. You can report online now — $200 million that — that we don’t know where the money came from — a lot of strange things going on in this campaign.

Help out! E-mail or call your Secretary of State’s office. Ask what the office has done to verify that Obama is constitutionally eligible to be President — how do they know he’s a natural born citizen??

What evidence were they provided? Give them this site or others ( a link in an e-mail) and ask them to remove Obama’s name from the ballot until they have proof.

It’s especially important to do this if your Secretary of State is a Republican.

Comment by danny | 2008-10-19 23:47:05

I wonder how on earth did the corporate media and the liberal left or “liberal progressive” blogs like C&L, Ablog, Huff, ect. all get on the same page with a horrible candidate like Obama.

It just doesn’t make since for them to be in cahoots. I really don’t think the MSM likes the blogs so this makes them getting into bed with Obama all the more interesting?! Well to me anyway.

McCain/Palin is the ticket for America!

Comment by AnninCA | 2008-10-20 09:21:12

Note the number of those “progressives” who were previously Republicans.

I think the traditional Democratic party values were completely boring to them all along.

Obiden had 12,000 people show up in Tacoma, WA today. Big woop - only 12. That’s all they could do here. Howard Dean pulled in 25,000 in Seattle (August 03).

Me thinks the only reason Joe Biden came to Tacoma is to help the working class vote for the lame democratic ticket.

The only problem - is the working class is on McCains side. The whispers are getting louder and the union men and women accross this country are more worried about how horrible Obama will be than McCain.

We are seeing McCain as the advocate he is for the working man. And we see the liberal elite as the unclassy assholes only looking out for themselves.

Could 20%-25% of White Males Make the Difference?

http://riverdaughter.wordpress.com/2008/10/19/barack-obama-still-just-as-clueless-as-ever/#more-7220

According to exit polls in 2004, Kerry lost white men by a crushing 25-point margin.

…a piece from the Chicago Tribune today (by Jim Tankersley and John McCormick)…said

Hillary Clinton, D-NY.

Oh and get this…I only saw part of it because of a phone call.

But Sundance had Return of the War Room on tonight.

While googling to make sure I had the title correct someone on HuffPo did a write up on the same part…but with a different spin.

~~

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/caryn-james/return-of-the-war-room-no_b_133909.html

“But this benign blast from the past creates a stomach-churning jolt a half-hour in when we see the ‘92 campaign rules posted on the war room wall. Look at how easily they might be used by the Obama campaign today:

Change vs. More of the Same
The Economy, Stupid
Don’t forget healthcare
The Debate Stupid”

~~

‘Might have been used’…What is this woman smoking!!?

‘More of the same’ was Biden’s lame audience participation quote from the convention which has been used by everyone in the Obama campaign since.

What would be easier to find all the plagiarized quotes and ideas in the Obama campaign? Or their original work product? Do they have anything original in the Obama campaign?

From England’s Melanie Phillips:

You have to pinch yourself – a Marxisant radical who all his life has been mentored by, sat at the feet of, worshipped with, befriended, endorsed the philosophy of, funded and been in turn funded, politically promoted and supported by a nexus comprising black power anti-white racists, Jew-haters, revolutionary Marxists, unrepentant former terrorists and Chicago mobsters, is on the verge of becoming President of the United States. And apparently it’s considered impolite to say so.

Just as a side note. There is huge support for McCain in Miami. The Cuban’s did not like Obama for saying that he wants to sit down with Castro. But once he said spreading the wealth around they just saw Castro on TV talking to Joe. At that moment he lost Florida. Florida goes as the Cuban’s go and the Cuban’s are not supporting Obama.

Comment by Docelder | 2008-10-20 00:50:40

Many older Cubans realize that Obama and Castro are similar… too similar for comfort. Castro used deception to fool the people of Cuba that he was a man of peace and would deliver “change”. Coincidence? I don’t believe in coincidences. ;)

You got that right! I’m a Cuban-American in Florida. Even my next door neighbor who is 88 years old put a big McCain/Palin yard sign up this weekend. He’s also Cuban-American. I asked him why he took so long to put it up and he said he’s been asking his son for weeks to take him to get one. Well, after the ’spread the wealth’ comment his son was the one who called him and said he’d be happy to drive him to get his sign ;-)

Judith Miller is joining FOX:

WaPo

Back in Action

Fox News is expected to announce today the hiring of a new contributor, a veteran national security correspondent who has shared a Pulitzer Prize.

Her name is Judith Miller, and she is nothing if not controversial. Miller left the New York Times in 2005 after testifying in the trial of former White House aide Lewis “Scooter” Libby that he had leaked her information about a CIA operative. Miller’s conduct in the case, which led to her serving 85 days in jail for initially refusing to testify, drew rebukes from the Times executive editor and some of her colleagues.

In the run-up to the Iraq war, Miller reported stories on the search for Saddam Hussein’s supposed weapons of mass destruction that turned out to be untrue, some of which were cited in a Times editor’s note acknowledging the flawed coverage. Miller, now with the conservative Manhattan Institute, wrote when she left the paper that she had “become a lightning rod for public fury over the intelligence failures that helped lead our country to war.”

Miller will be an on-air analyst and will write for Fox’s Web site. “She has a very impressive résumé,” says Senior Vice President John Moody. “We’ve all had stories that didn’t come out exactly as we had hoped. It’s certainly something she’s going to be associated with for all time, and there’s not much anyone can do about that, but we want to make use of the tremendous expertise she brings on a lot of other issues. . . . She has explained herself and she has nothing to apologize for.”

regarding “where are the 527’s”????? I heard someone on Fox recently say that McCain has said he did not want the help of 527’s………..so, reportedly the GOP 527 money will be going to help state GOP politicians. I hope McCain does not live to regret that. As much as I hated what some of the 527’s did to Kerry back in ‘04, I wish desperately for them now ! Yes, I was a zombie Dem back then. I’m so happy that I can now call myself a former Dem.

Comment by Andrew191 | 2008-10-20 01:47:57

Do you mean 527’s like moveon.org? When Colin Powell endorsed the Fuehrer using McCains negative campaigning as the main reason I blew a gasket. Moveon, DailyKos, Huffington, and the rest have been in the sewer with one vomit inducing contribution after another. Doesn’t Powell remember “General betray us”? A proud and honorable member of his own fraternity trashed. And look at what’s going on now, Plumber Joe ridiculed and threatened, Palin the object of the most vile attacks not only on her but also her family. Is Powell blind to the most defametory and evil political campaign on the history of this republic? If he were on the opposite side, he would now be going through the most extensive dirt finding examination of his and his families lives. It might be easier though to just ask him about the shit he’s been into, He’s got his head so far up his ass that he’s performing his own “Colin-oscopy”.

I’m off to bed but thanks, Jason, for the link to Melanie Philips.

I just keep trying to remember that this is the same msm that brought us the Iraq war; that made fun of Gore; that brought us Bush and turned Kerry into an elitist flip flopper.

So now they’re bringing us Obama; what a surprise.

Comment by Prem | 2008-10-20 16:12:21

Agreed! I keep telling people do we really want to vote for the candidate now supported by the same MSM that brought us GWB, the Iraq War, and now endorsed by the GWB/Iraq War enabler, Powell. Duh? Something’s truly wrong with that picture. Wake up, people.

I heard Powell speak in the 90’s when he still had a shred of credibility, so I was eager to hear him in person. I was greatly disappointed in what he was saying even about the Gulf War, and my reliable BS meter (my gut feelings)was saying, “what a tool, and what an a$$-kisser (as Larry has so aptly called a “butt-snorkeler”). My reliable BS meter is also telling me that BHO is a fraud, a liar, and dangerous for our country.
