Since the mysterious and rather sudden insertion of Comrade Obama into the political landscape, America 2008 is sounding more like America of the late 60s and early 70s. Nowhere is this more apparent than in the regression of racial and gender relations, which Barack Obama has managed to set back by a minimum of 40 years. All progress on both fronts are destroyed thanks to Comrade Obama’s Enabling techniques.
Not only has Barack Obama destroyed any progress that was made on both fronts, but he also seems to have had a lifetime attraction to the most dangerous people of that time.
Is it really any wonder that Obama has “bumped into” Bill Ayers along the way?–an obvious fact no matter how often he denies it. Who with a brain cannot see that Barack Obama’s ability to shoot America back to the radical past can only be the result of influences of people like Ayers and Dohrn? From Frank Davis to Ayers is almost a *natural* progression for him.
The concept that these two people are old and therefore harmless is just plain ludicrous. They still have the same attitudes toward America and they still want the same goals achieved: The Overthrow of Democracy and Capitalism. To be sure, the learned a lot from their “mistakes” back in their Days Of Rage when their Declaration of A State of War was announced. Now they have a fresh new batch of naive American children to help nourish their hatred of this country–all of them ready to do their Comrade Barack Obama’s bidding.
Barack Obama has been endorsed by every single suddenly-revived radical fringe party and movement from the 60s and 70s. Does anybody really think this is a coincidence? Really?

Something is out of sync in this election It is clear to me that Obama’s economic program favors wealth redistribution (rather than merely providing people the means to achieve and earn a bigger piece of the pie). On the other hand since there is such little information — we are left looking at Obama’s character (his bestest friends — the people who influence Obama and who have been his mentors throughout his life).
So we are making assumptions about Obama will do in the future — based on his current actions (flip flopping, male chauvinist pig) and associates — on what he might do in the future. We know he isn’t going to change — at his age — his personality and character are SET.
And a whole lot of who Obama is — comes from Ayers — because of their very long, close relationship. And to date we don’t really know how deep that relationship goes.
Obama’s friend and mentors are NOT people I would want to get to know.
These are the same sort of people he will choose to surround him if America gets conned by this snake oil salesman.
Share the wealth — whose wealth? Just who makes the rules about wealth distribution and who defines wealth? Is Sores going to be stripped of his wealth?
One of the pollsters (Zogby??) said that people aren’t voting for Obama because they still don’t know who he is. And that’s because Obama doesn’t want us to know who he is because he has a hidden agenda.

A savvy local guy said to me one day “I’ll bet you out of the 10 workers in our area none would be able to tell you who the VP is and most likely they wouldn’t know who the POTUS is.” I said “Naaah!” He was right. None knew that LBJ was our POTUS. Stunning. Scary. Sad. Life is so good for us, and yet a good portion of the people don’t either recognize it, nor do they care why. Its only when the shit hits the fan, and by then, they’re too ignorant to ask the right why questions. Lets hope things have improved since then, and that the populace will see through this POS confronting us. I have to tell you, that when I filled out my absentee ballot and I saw the fraud’s name there staring me in the face, I was terrified. If only the people knew…and that brings us back to the disgrace of the MSM. I will never forget nor forgive and if I ever have a non-violent opportunity to express this directly to them in my remaining years, I will fully take them to task.
I agree, especially with holding the media accountable. We need to start thinking about how to address this on November 5th. Win or lose, the American public needs to demand an explanation from the media. No mea culpa’s will do. I want investigations and resignations.
Maybe we could start with a 7 day boycott of television? I mean all tv. Show them who they work for?
Maybe we can also start a thread that lists each of the big newsagencies..cnn, nbc, cbs, abc, etc… and list their management, producers etc…specific names. Then the American public can start vetting them? I want to know names of people responsible for the near catastrophe. I don’t want them around any medium that could influence voters in the future.

This is so OT, but it really struck me as odd…today in my 10am US Mail I received my new TV Guide. Alec Baldwin and Tina Fey are featured on the cover. The 30Something article starts by exclaiming that Sarah Palin’s visit to SNL brought in the largest viewing audience in fourteen years. So tell me this, how does a magazine get this information regarding the ratings on Saturday night, print it, collate it, address it and put in in the US Mail in time for me to get it Monday morning? Or am I just stupid?

I just saw a tv spot in Ohio on the Biden gaffe. It said if there is a crisis, do you really want Obama in that chair? Effective.

That ad was actually out Saturday or before, the RNC was trying to get people to ask themselves if they really thought Obama was ready to sit in that chair. No one had any idea that Biden would decide to give something more to think about.

there is one move that could change the media landscape forever.
cable tv should be forced to open competition for its channels. customers should be allowed to pick a package of 10 channels for $10/month and add a dollar for every extra channel chosen.
the way it is now, people’s subscriptions are perpetuating the production of utter trash. the ability to choose ten channels would immediately weed out the trash.

I was thinking another way of making a difference is if people turned off the national news and instead got invovled with their LOCAL newspapers? I think local papers might be more inclined to cover stories that the big boys aren’t covering, if they had the support from their readers and viewers. It might also provide a renaissance of sorts; bring new life into the written word?
John MCcain needs to hammer Obama on the Employee Free CHoice Act (Card Check). If the DEMS go ahead and pass this legislation, money can come out of your paycheck for unions without your choice. Also it will eliminate the Secret Ballot an doyu iwll have to vote on union issues in the open.
I am not sure if Hillary was for this but Barack Obama is for it. Even George Mcgovern a very liberal Dem has been campaigning against it. Apparently, the Unions bosses gave Obama big money to support it.

Not to start off on a Hillary tangent because, right now, she’s only making herself less and less relevant to this race.
But, right now, she’s not helping herself with the Dem “Base” because those in control of the party don’t like her and will never help her. Leading cheers for Obama now, which she obviously doesn’t mean, is only making her look worse and worse.
The party told her to quit the campaign and go bake some cookies and she went away, to supposedly (many of us hoped) fight another day. 18 million votes and they don’t even put her on the “short list” for VP. Even JFK knew better than that (e.g., LBJ).
But, at least she was treading lightly and maintaining some semblance of dignity (what many women end up trying to do after being run over by the “anybody but a dame” steamroller).
Not any more. Now, she’s apparently gone back to the kitchen and has cooked up some Hashish Brownies — let’s call them Barack Brownies to enjoy some alliteration — she’s trying to serve up to the American public. Maybe that’s what Joe Biden’s been eating. He’s got to be high on something.
It’s almost (not quite, I know, just an illustration) like the wife who drops the charges against her battering husband and starts making excuses for the same man who smacked her down yesterday. Sorry, but I think Hillary’ eating some of those brownies, too, if she thinks I’m going to follow her into the ethereal swoon and vote for the Man, the Myth, the Legend, the One.

I’m hard-pressed to think of anything more pathetic and ridiculous than middle-class, geriatric, radical hippies. They cling to their dogma and refuse to see any relative goodness and fairness in capitalism. It’s especially bewildering to see these kinds of attitudes in elderly people who, at their age, have actually lived to see the failures — over and over again — of Marxism.
I don’t know if it’s willful ignorance, brain damage, or a cynical put-on.
How do you get that Obama wants the overthrow of capitalism?? He is the bankers’ best friend; nobody pushed harder for the bailout bill than he did. What mildly, even slightly, left-wing or “socialist” position has he ever advocated? Not one. He thinks Ronald Reagan is Teh Awesomest. He gets huuuuuge corporate donations. His every move and word is calculated to appease rich white people.
There are many, many, MANY reasons to oppose him but this “socialist” tag is not grounded in any visible reality.
