Real Democrats Thank No Quarter Open Thread
By Truthteller on October 21, 2008 at 9:00 AM in Democrats Against Obama, Dems4McCain, Ohio
Real Democrats campaigned for McCain/Palin in southern Ohio this weekend, and they want to thank No Quarter for all your help. Paulie Abeles sent me this photograph of their group in front of the RV they rented for the occasion:
Over thirty volunteers from from states across the nation participated in this effort: they visited over 20 towns in counties that voted heavily for Hillary during the primary; they placed flyers on cars; they canvassed; they spoke with voters; they attended festivals; they visited malls; and their RV and caravan brandished “Democrats for McCain” signs.
Feel free to visit Real Democrats at their website, and feel free to contribute to their cause. Large and small donations are welcome, as they intend to campaign every weekend until the election. Also write Paulie Abeles at pabeles@realdemocratsUSA.org if you desire to join them.
Be sure to participate in their activities, or consider campaigning in your local area.
Here are more photographs of Real Democrats on the road in Ohio:

The PUMA roar will be deafening on election day and will win the day!
Guess which Obama supporter is lashing out at PA voters again?
Yep, John Murtha!!
Rep. Murtha Clarifies ‘Racist’ Remark, Calls Western Pa. ‘Redneck’
After apologizing for calling his constituents ‘racist’ last week, the Democrat clarifies his remarks, says people in western Pennsylvania are ‘rednecks’
http://elections.foxnews.com/2008/10/21/rep-murtha-calls-western-pa-redneck/
Western, PA is going o turn out in massive numbers. People in PA have had enough of the racist accusations and personal attacks against small town folks by the Obama campaign and his supporters.
Western, PA will be the knockout punch against Obama!
Rock the vote, Western PA!
Country First!!
McCain-Palin ‘08
it is sad that Obama democrats have declared
war on the rest of the party.
Did Dan Rather morph into Danny the Rat?
//www.jossip.com/is-dan-rather-a-deadbeat-20081016/
They have declared war on the country. They want it all.
When the vast majority of long-term democrats are solidly behind their current presidential ticket, I’m not sure who has actually abandoned or declared war on whom.
“Abandoned”? More liked kicked out. It WAS Obambi who said he didn’t need Hillary supporters votes, just our money, it WAS Donna Brazile who said she was determined to remake the Dem party even if she had to destroy it first AND told us Hillary voters to stay home on election day. Yet even though they couldn’t get rid of us fast enough they all the while attacked us if we didn’t support “the one” calling us racists and every other vile thing in the book! So yeah, mixed signals there!
40 percent of Hillary voters say they’re NOT voting for him, he may have more Dems than he doesn’t backing him….mostly because they can’t break out of that I HAVE to support whomever has a “D” after their name mentality. But as to if it’s enough to counter a united Repub. and Hillary supporters and Indy voters front to see McCain/Palin win…..well we shall see.
You Obots have declared war on us!! “Get in their faces”, steal their lawn signs, key and/or piss on their cars if they have a McCain bumper sticker, beat them with the stick of their own McCain/Palin signs, riot of Barack Hussein loses, produce and wear “Sarah Palin is a c***” t-shirts.
Sounds like a call to war to me, a civil war.
Would you characterize all pro-life people based on the behavior of a few lunatics who have vandalized womens’ health care centers or attacked young women going there for services?
It’s the same thing. The great majority of Obama supporters are just regular Americans with a political opinion that differs from yours. They’re every bit as law-abiding as you are.
We shouldn’t judge each other based on the behavior of a few whackos. After the election, we’ll all be Americans with common problems to solve.
I haven’t heard of any incidents of Obama supporters cars being keyed, attacked while they’re holding sings, obscene t-shirts about Obama and/or Biden. Obama lawn signs disappearing at an epidemic rate etc.
Obama’s cult invites this mad behavior.
and I will add encourages this behavior–argue and get in their faces. No thanks. I don’t need a raving lunatic in my face.
I don’t believe there are no incidents of McCain supporters acting crazy, but with the Obots it’s a daily occurrence of illegal conduct, vandalism, theft, assault etc. It’s vigilantism of the worst kind.
(sigh)- wish this place had an edit post button. Vigilantism isn’t the right word. It’s just plain old criminal conduct, and add harassment to the list.
well that is what happens when you go to the worst places to recruit supportors: i.e. jails, bars, prisons…Dave Matthews Concerts…
John Murtha needs to be booted out of office.
RUSSELL PULLS AHEAD OF ‘RACIST” “REDNECK” MURTHA
Ha! that’s great. I hope to heaven he gets the boot. He’s beyond offensive.
Murtha defamed US Troops. One of the offended parties has sued him.
I lived in Pittsburgh for a couple years. That part of the state has more of a Midwestern flavor. The people are nicer and less attitudinal than eastern Pennsylvanians.
Pittsburgh is home to CMU, U of Pitt, the universities train medical personnel that go out internationally. The city also has evolved into a bit of a tech center. Murtha is an uneducated ass.
Perhaps dementia is setting in.
keep it coming. Sheesh. Do these people think before opening their mouths?
OT but Albright agrees with Biden. Why would anyone vote for Obama and bring this down on America? They don’t say it would happen with McCain.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WD_EAe1N9-M
I am so proud of you PUMA’s. I am doing what I can here in FL
I think it is racist to call someone a ‘redneck.’ The worst kind of racism — skin color racism.
I had the occasion to motor through Western PA
this past summer–across I.S. 80 to NYC. It is
gorgeous with timbered hills high enough to count
as mountains (The Allegheny) and small farms tucked away within their folds and valleys. I could see for myself that these people with their neat, well-tended small acreages, were a product of the best America can offer. We took a detour because of a traffic jam, cruising the back roads.
Little hamlets and villages were exactly as you would find in any midwestern town; the older homes built to last with expansive lawns are the type
you might recognize from a Norman Rockwell graphic.
The ones you see depicted on Christmas cards with
wreaths and soft lights burning at dusk with a
mantle of white snow on the roof.
I don’t think these people are rednecks or racists; I think they are just individuals with hopes and dreams like everyone else in this country. That is why they will vote their conscience, putting America first.
What happened to us? When did we lose our center?
Nice imagery. They have what a lot of us want to hold on to.
Funny, having grown up outside Atlanta, I knew a lot of “rednecks”, and some of them were Black. Rednecks, down south, are people who like to BBQ, go mud boggin’, go to Church on Sunday’s, watch NASCAR, help a neighbor with a problem, sit on the front porch in the evening, go to work and (work hard while they’re there), and they still visit their Mama and Daddy on the weekend. They salute the flag, know the words to the National Anthem, the Pledge of Allegiance, and Amazing Grace. They volunteer to fight for their country in higher than average numbers.
They look for bargains at Wal Mart, and they would rather do a weekend in Gatlinburg than a week in NYC. You see them every Friday night in the fall at the local High School Football games, and they never miss the local Little League’s parade down Main street.
There are a lot of Rednecks all over this country, and a lot of Joe the Plumbers and Sarah Palin’s, too.
Some of them didn’t get farther than High School, but they made up for that with Common Sense to spare, these people are not impressed with what the Hollywood A-Listers, or the Liberal Media have to say about anything. These are the people that tune into FOX and put a lot more store in an Endorsement from Sean Hannity than Lindsay Lohan.
Our center is still here, it just doesn’t get a lot of press. Funny, neither does McCain or Palin. That alone makes them more appealing to the redneck crowd…That and Hank Jr. did write a pretty catchy campaign song for them.
What about the tape?
Here ya go…

Off-Topic But Extremely Important:
I just saw an ad requesting people to write to Washington against the “Employee Free Choice Act”. I clicked on the link, and as I suspected, this act is related to the attempt by the union SEIU under the leadership of Andy Stern to destroy the democratic structure of labor unions. For those of you who are not familiar, SEIU is the union that aided the Obama campaign in intimidation tactics against Hillary Clinton supporters in Nevada and other places during the primaries. They were highly involved in the caucus fraud efforts. Now SEIU wants use the Employee Free Choice Act to trick employees into a “fast-track” process to institute unionization in companies, while forcing them to adopt an OPEN VOTING procedure that exactly parallels the caucus voting structure in which SEIU was able to use fraud and intimidation tactics to help Obama get the Democratic nomination. Readers may be aware that ACORN refers to SEIU as its labor wing and the two are joined at the hip, both utilizing the same Saul Alinsky-based organizing techniques of coercion, intimidation, deception, and Machiavellian attempts at power. Andy Stern is an autocratic leader and his SEIU union is fast becoming a labor dictatorship. Under the guise of representing employees, Stern’s SEIU actually locks employees into very long-term contracts (20 years even!) in which they have no option to strike or protest. He is consolidating power and using it to negotiate partnerships with corporations, soon to be on a vast international scale. He is the enemy of labor under the guise of being a friend, and in fact he is just a power-mad dictator who wants to turn labor into a crony network the likes of which transcend even labor’s organized crime dominated heyday.
Readers need to be aware of the ACORN-allied SEIU’s grab for power under Andy Stern through the Employee Free Choice Act. Understand that this act is an attempt to institute in labor everything that has been so wrong about the present election for President. We must stop these efforts to transform our society into an authoritarian left-wing dictatorship, which is the ultimate aim of organizations like ACORN and SEIU. If you are alarmed by what you have seen with Obama’s candidacy, you must understand that his candidacy is part of a broad assault on our democracy by organizations like ACORN and SEIU, abetted by the current Democratic Party. WE MUST STOP THIS! Write to your Congressman and Senator. Read about what is going on in organized labor. Read about the authoritarian practices of SEIU, their alliance with ACORN and Obama. One great place to read about what is going in labor and how it plays out in the big picture is Steve Diamond’s site that many of us have read (www.globallabor.blogspot.com) for Diamond’s writing on Obama’s connection with the authoritarian radical Bill Ayers. We must defeat the Employee Free Choice Act. It is not what it seems. It is an attempt to destroy democracy.
Thank you for this information. My son belongs to a labor union and just last week at a meeting he was told “don’t believe what they are saying about the Employee Free Choice Act - there is nothing wrong with it”. He believed and tried to convince me. He said he would bring some literature from the Union Hall for me to read. I’ll print out your comment and let him read while I am reading what he brings.
McGovern a known union supporter is very vocal in his opposition to this act. Taking away the secret ballot provides for threats to individials who do not want unions.
I think that Unions have become so corrupt that they actually hurt workers these days.
The pigs are running the farm.
My BF belongs to a union, we kept getting into it over their n0bama propaganda. I told him after all his complaints about his union not being able to get his benefits straight, the corrupt union officials being indicted at his facility, he’s now going to believe everything they say?
I don’t understand the hold that unions have over workers. It’s a political structure, you have to kiss ass and know people in order to advance, and all you get in return is propaganda.
I have a friend who is in a food workers’ union. After years of having 32 bucks a month deducted from her paycheck, they didn’t do squat for her when she filed a disability claim.
It’s not the unions in general that are the problem, but specifically unions like SEIU and it’s allies that are openly pushing to removed democracy from the voting process of unions and institute a caucus-like “open voting” procedure that removes the anonymity that protects voters and allows them to vote their conscience free of peer pressure and threats of intimidation. What you are describing occasionally takes place in all unionized environments, but under SEIU this kind of disregard for individual workers reaches a high point as they are more interested in consolidating power (even if it means trapping people in 20-year contracts with no recourse for complaint) than in actually helping people.
I helped to organize clerical workers at a major university, volunteering with around 10 other employees to work on the committee that would draft the first contract. Well, at our first meeting, my colleagues began proclaiming what was our ‘position’ on the issues and then referred out that stand to the appropriate sub-committee for drafting. I was brand new at this; but this seemed wrong. ‘Shouldn’t we survey the members, first, to ascertain their positions on the issues?’ They agreed; not surprisingly, I had to create the survey questionnaire. After the results were in, we began the drafting process, in earnest. First, we would announce the results of the survey. Then, we would re-state the position. Finally, we referred the issue to the appropriate sub-committee. However, a problem arose when we reached the issue of whether all employees in the bargaining unit would have to join the union. That is, instead of first announcing what the survey had shown the rank-in-file wanted, the speaker merely cited a position and referred to committee. I objected. ‘Wait a minute, what did the survey show the people wanted?’ I was rebuked. ‘It doesn’t matter; they don’t know how hard it is to organize and to maintain our members.’ I was livid. ‘We volunteered for this job on the contract committee; the employees did not elect us to represent them. If we think we have a better way of doing things then, we need to educate our members. But in the end, the decision as to what kind of shop we maintain is up to them! And if you ignore the results of the survey, I will tell everyone in the bargaining unit what you have done.’ I also pointed out the irony that we had unionized in the first place because we objected to having management unilaterally determine the terms and conditions of our employment.
Great story….
I was in the S&L industry, and I used a great deal of upward communications.
In the end, the communications program was considered one of the top 5 strengths of the company. We sold the company BEFORE we were taken over. In those days, that was a coup. It apparently is happening again.
My thinking was, just talk. Talk, talk, talk. Let it flow. People eventually arrive at compromise.
We did.
Our employees were informed. They could talk to customers. They could reassure them. We didn’t hide the bad news. And it worked.
Open communication is the ONLY way to go today.
We are far, far too expressive of a society to even think of going backwards on this.
That is why Joe the Plumber is now the mantra.
He asks a question and the press skewered him?
They were stupid to do so. Stupid.
These are great people. God bless them.
Thank God for PUMAS!!!
Good for them! I hope they had a great time.
Democrats for McCain is the variable that the media and the Obama campaign are trying their best to suppress.
Many Hillary supporters, especially in PA, are going for McCain. They don’t talk about it or brag about, they’ll just do it in the voting booth.
Democrats voting for McCain will be a surgical strike from afar, straight at the heart of the Obama camapign in styates like PA and Ohio.
New Ras poll shows McCain ahead in Ohio and FL.
McCain is closing in PA. The internals are looking real good.
McCain LIVE from PA in a few minutes!
Here is some anecdotal evidence that makes be believe you are correct. I made over 100 calls for Hillary to PA during the primary. Many of the people I talked to did not want to disclose who they were voting for, others would be coy and funny, but they were polite and listened to what I had to say. The few Obama supporters I talked to were rude and vitriolic, and I definitely was told they were voting Obama.
I believe that McCain has a very good chance of winning PA, despite what the polls say.
Philly and Pittburgh will go for Obama, but I see quite a few signs for McCain in some neighborhoods.
I got an automated computer poll last night - came from a Wash DC number. It said it had 3 questions about local politics.
First question was if I would vote for the current Republican state rep. I answered Yes. The second question was who was I voting for on President. I selected Undecided. I’ve decided anything going forth I’ll answer this way. Although I’m voting for McCain/Palin, I don’t want Obama to have any idea what support McCain will have in PA.
Oh, the third question went back to the local politics again. I posted yesterday that I saw on a local news report a college did their own poll around the Philly and burbs.
Obama had the lead in the poll but surprisingly, the unwilling to comply voters were in second place and McCain in third. I’m willing to bet, 99% of the unwilling to comply voters are voting for McCain and didn’t want to say b/c they fear of the response from the pollsters, etc..
This election is way closer than the media will allow us to believe. Everyone must get out and vote!!! I’m already planning on making a day out of it and no doubt there will be long lines. I’m taking off work and offering to drive seniors to the polls.
Boxer, I also was robo-polled from a DC burb area code. I did the same as you - answered in the affirmative about the local pol, but undecided for all the rest.
I have told our local GOP and also the McCain campaign about my lack of factual response to unidentified pollers. I agree with you about the undisclosed McCain support in Philly burbs. In my part of Delco - (western) lots and lots of McCain signs. Even tho’ a few have been vandalized or stolen, people still put them out.
I like when they leave the vandalized signs out so the world can see the violence of the n0bama supporters.
I’m curious. Why wouldn’t you answer directly?
Eye of the Tiger rockin’ at McCain rally in PA now!
Now LOUD chants of USA!! USA!! USA!!
Thanks for this alert. I didn’t know. Thanks.
Real Democrats and Real American Workers are in Obama & SEIU’s crosshairs.
http://hickeysite.blogspot.com/2008/10/chicago-tribune-targets-skilled-trades.html
So nice to see. THANK YOU Real Democrats and NQ!
…many REAL Democrats working hard for McCain/Palin. I’m just shocked my hubby allowed me to put a sticker on HIS CAR!
Will good and honesty triumph? I hope so.
And you can take that to the bank…the phone bank that is.
GET TO WORK!!! BE INVOLVED. HELP MAKE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE!
The strategy to win PA is a good one for McCain.
Why is Obama shutting down his campaigning in PA? Hmmm…
Lindsey Grahm thanking “Joe the soundbyte Biden” for warning America that Obama is not ready to be POTUS!
Crowd is pumped up!
McCain speaking now LIVE at rally in PA!
O is shutting down his campaigning in Pa? When did this happen? What cave have I been in? I thought PA was key for him. Whatever drug he’s doing I say keep it up. McCain deserves PA after Ohblabla’s bitter comment. KARMA!
It is good for PA but so bad for us down here is Florida. This Bama man campaign is pouring millions of dollars here. We need Florida to win. This is getting scary down here.
We need McPalin to come back here. This state is pivotal to win this election, and specially with the Latino community in the Orlando areas, and the Jewish community here. Wasserman is not doing us any good.
You know, FL has all the information to vote. This isn’t really about money or even rallying the bases.
13 days.
They have the information. If they are going to go for the “Big Change,” then they will.
but it won’t be due to a lack of attention from either campaign.
Aside from predicting an attack within 6 months of Obama’s coronation, Biden made some cryptic remarks about an Obama administration having to take measures that his supporters would not like. I believe this was a veiled reference to reinstating the draft. I think that because Biden also mentioned our limited military resources.
This has brought the first smile to my face in a very long time. The thought of all those elitists having their sons and daughters forced into military service by their new Messiah is toooooo wonderful. If it weren’t so bad for the country to return to a drafted military, I’d be laughing all the way to the election and possibly beyond.
LOVE IT!! McCain putting the hammer down on Obama now!!
Tell it like it is Johnny Mac!!
I don’t know if PA is even close for McCain. He got such flack when he pulled out of Michigan.
I can’t really get a clear picture on any of the polls because they are so disparate.
What I know is that it’s Tuesday, and we’re in the meat of the week.
Biden just gaffed, again. Palin is getting rave reviews for her SNL spot and for being a good sport. She’s pulling in major crowds, consistently for John.
Joe the Plumber really kicked McCain’s message up a notch.
We’re DONE with the stories about why is this or that state showing this or that.
We’re in the final days.
People will be making up their minds now. We’ll soon see if that massive Democratic registration translates into real votes. My experience says? Maybe, maybe not. Actual voting scares some fringe people. They can fill out a registration form easily at the grocery store. Actually finding their polling place and showing up, standing in line?
We’ll see.
Lots of Democrats for McCain at the rally in PA now!
Aaaaaah, how bout a calander of Dem for Mccain women? I nominate the blonde lady with the hat for Ms. December!
McCains Hold Rally in Pennsylvania: WATCH LIVE

Thank you Dems for McCain! You look incredible!!
I wonder if there will be photos of Harriet’s shuttle to PA.
This is inspiring. Thanks so much!+
And here’s the latest in the Berg lawsuit:
According to Rule 36 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, a party upon whom requests for admissions have been served must respond, within 30 days, or else the matters in the requests will be automatically deemed conclusively admitted for purposes of the pending action.
On September 15, as part of his federal lawsuit contending that the Illinois senator is ineligible, pursuant to the U.S. Constitution, to serve as president of the United States, Philadelphia attorney Philip Berg served Barack Obama and the Democratic National Committee with just such a request. Soon thereafter, on October 6, Barack Obama and the DNC acknowledged service in their motion for protective order, filed in an attempt to persuade the court to stay discovery. The Federal Rules require that a response to a request for admissions be served within the 30-day time limit, and Barack Obama and the DNC have not done so.
Therefore, this morning, amidst news reports that Barack Obama will be suspending his campaign for a few days so he can fly to Hawaii to visit his grandmother, who has suddenly fallen ill, Philip Berg will file two motions in district court in Philadelphia:
A motion requesting an immediate order deeming his request for admissions served upon Barack Obama and the DNC on September 15 admitted by default, and
A motion requesting an expedited ruling and/or hearing on Berg’s motion deeming the request for admissions served upon Obama and the DNC admitted.
Berg contends that the failure to respond and serve the response within the time limit is “damning.”
Still, for Berg, the issue is clear. He simply wanted answers or objections, he said, and instead received nothing. Rule 36, according to Berg, is fairly cut-and-dry.
“It all comes down to the fact that there’s nothing from the other side,” Berg said. “The admissions are there. By not filing the answers or objections, the defense has admitted everything. He admits he was born in Kenya. He admits he was adopted in Indonesia. He admits that the documentation posted online is a phony. And he admits that he is constitutionally ineligible to serve as president of the United States.”
I know squat about those legal things but I know a little of what in Alinsky’s rule of radicals that Obama is following to a T is the purpose of creating ‘chaos.’
From what you wrote I take that Obama even thou legally as you said has ‘admitted’ on all the charges, for me in practical terms has admitted to nothing. And that creates ‘chaos.’ And that serves Obama’s purpose. His purpose is to foster and create and more than anything insinuate and nuance ‘chaos.’
I hate to say it but I think Obama is hell bent on creating a national crisis of riots and violence that will begin promptly Nov 5 at 1 a.m.
No, Berg is correct. By not responding, the admissions are deemed to be true. This is amazing. Such arrogance in the face of the law is astounding. And, as a “Constitutional” lawyer, Obama knows full well what the law requires.
Maybe this is why Granny is suddenly ill and Obama has cleared his schedule and flown to Hawaii?
Honestly, I hope his grandmother is ok. I mean her no harm and if Obama does somehow pull this off, I think it would be great for her to see it.
However, nothing this campaign surprises me and I wouldn’t be surprised if this illness wasn’t made up as an excuse for him to go back to HI and look for that damn birth certificate.
I’ll be curious if Meechelle and the girls go to visit.
So glad this group is there and having an impact. We are in a fight to the finish for sure and each person’s effort will make the difference. Does anybody know what happened to the Michelle Obama “whitey” tape? Is it still a possibility?
polled:
SurveyUSA 10/18/08 and 10/19/08
Virginia
McCain (R) 45%
Obama (D) 51%
Composition of Likely Voters
34% Republican
40% Democrat
http://www.surveyusa.com/client/PollReport.aspx?g=1e186b4f-7e66-49ae-a567-b32211f61efd
cnn 2004 exit polls showed voters by party ID:
39% Republican
35% Democrat
http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2004/pages/results/states/VA/P/00/
SurveyUSA’s ‘Composition of Likely Voters’ has a 10 point swing toward dems for their Virginia poll. That just doesn’t sound right. SurveyUSA was pretty accurate during the primaries but during the general their party ID seems out of line.
Well, they aren’t counting PUMAS. There are more PUMAS than are registered with PUMA PAC. They weight these polls favorably for the Dems because so many more people are registered for them. I just hope there are a lot of sneaky Dems voting for McCain this year.
They weight these polls favorably for the Dems because so many more people are registered for them.
Virginia does not have registration by party ID. So that can’t be the case in Virginia. Certianly bush has destroyed the repub party but I still can’t see the reason for a 10 point swing.
Prince William County is 93% Republican registered
Having been on the Phones for months I tell you that poll is BS
Thanks Jackie!! That’s encouraging to hear.
hadenough
Right-Virginia does not have party ID and even with the ubiquitous Obama signs( who knows they probably pay people 20 bucks to put them in their yards)most former Clinton supporters I’ve talked to who are voting for McCain decided long ago not to put up signs or even tell anyone that they’re voting for McCain. Instead we have xeroxed investigative pieces and left them all over the place. It’s not that we’re afraid believe me, we’re empowered by all the corruption and fear mongering going on about riots and racism, etc. It’s our strategy, our way of dealing with the thugs from Chicago. Can’t wait to vote for McCain/Palin on Nov 4th.
True. I live in VA and they called me on my ceel phone, and knew my name, (had to be from the work I did for Hillary), anyway, I take it they thought I was going to support obama…but I told them in no uncertain terms just what I thought of their guy.
That being said, I think Loudoun could go half and half, Fairfax will probably go Obama, Prince William will go McCain, and the majority of the state from there down should favor McCain. Virginia is home to Ft Meyers, the Pentagon, Quantico Marine Base and all those Naval Bases in Virginia Beach and Norfolk, there is also some Military in Richmond, as well. The Middle and Western area of the state is likely to go heavily for McCain.
he really only has potential trouble in Northern Virginia.
I understand that they aren’t all that accurate. I really don’t know the polling grist. I read Jay Cost on RCP for good info.
I posted an article recently that was very good about the polls this year.
It’s due to not knowing what the real turn-out will be.
The pollsters have my sympathies. Zolgby could be too conservative about the enthusiasm of new Democrats. On the other hand, I personally think he’s right in the long run. Even if Obama gets that kind of turn-out, these are emotional voters. They will not be there for the off-years.
This country is clearly a divided nation still. I’m so ready for a true compromiser, whom I think is John McCain. The far right hate his policies. They complain. That’s good enough for this moderate. *haha
I think Obama will disappoint Pelosi and Reid.
That’s OK by me. I dislike that ilk more than I dislike Obama, frankly.
It’ll all work out in the end. I’m sure of that.
Real Democrats for McCain…
thank you thank you thank you. you are making a difference in a big and important way.
so many folks are quietly going forward and voting MCCain/Palin in nov…
these are the folks the polls are overlooking in their haste to stack the poll results for obama.
if obamacoup doesn’t manage to steal and fix this election, McCain is the next POTUS, hands down. he is an American patriot at a time when that is what America needs. obama is the now quite apparent one world order figurehead. if Mac can get past that incredible power block, this country can buy some time to wake up, and continue to thwart that bleakest of futurist scenarios.
the future is now, folks.
country before party.
let freedom ring.
Democracy first, last, and always.
I have to say I love when McCain goes on about “Fight for your country”. I’m a sap. I believe him and get all teary. I really hope he doesn’t let us down if he wins. Really, I don’t think I can’t stand another disappointment of the hypocrite type.
I’m glad he has put that in his stump speech. When he did it at the end of his convention speech I was teary as well. Plus I like how he urges us to change what we don’t like (instead of looking to the govt to do everything). For a long time senator, his record bears the proof that he does stand on principle most of the time.
We’re all saps then, ’cause tears were rolling down my cheeks. I guess despite all the blemishes of our country, I love her and think the world of her.
No, never ever for O-BS.
When Obamabots begin their riots and violence spreads everywhere, Obama will claim that McCain was the one inciting riots and violence with that phrase. That’s the problem.
But I too support that phrase by him because if we don’t fight for our country it will be overrun by the worse kind of thuggery ever seen and never imagined.
Well, if there’s one thing I’m sure about, McCain would be better than his campaign could promise. He’s the real deal, and an incredibly well-disciplined guy.
He may not be able to sell America on that.
But I’m sure of who he really is.
what’s the latest on obama’s suddenly “urgent” Hawaii trip? other blogs are reporting dark motives that have NOTHING to visiting a sick grandma…
Tin Foil Hat: Birth Cert problem.

Wow, thanks for posting that link. This is the opinion I have formed of BO over the months-and I’m glad it was written up in such a factual and powerful way.
Thank you Dems for McCain!! What a great thing you are doing! I’m going to your site to make a donation! Keep up the good work!!
Where’s your Donor List, Barry?
McCain’s been transparent about his donor list. Obama not so much. Donations from Nigeria, Hamas and Hezbollah don’t instill confidence.
A big thanks to Real Democrats! The nomination of McCain illustrated (to me) that the silent Republicans want a more moderate party. PUMAs give voice the real dems want to wrangle their party away from the loud left wing and return it to what it once was.
Election Day Exit Polls: Already Slanted for Dems
Remember that pleasant afternoon on Election Day 2004 when the exit polls were leaked showing a Kerry blowout in the making? That was liberal cheating. They even did it to Hillary this year by overstating Obama’s support in 18 of 20 states. Brace yourself for Nov. 4.

Speaking of Hamas — my husband is quite liberal, like many Jewish people are, and was all set to vote for Barky. However, he heard about The One’s ties to anti-Semites such as Louis Farrakhan and is now having second thoughts. Farrakhan supports Barky and has even called him “The Messiah” (Barky did, to his credit, denounce him).
Jewish Republican groups have been running quite a campaign in local Jewish newspapers such as Philadelphia’s Jewish Exponent vetting Barky’s unsavory ties to unsavory people, something that the MSM refuses to do. Jewish people are pretty loyal to the Democratic party (though not nearly as loyal as African Americans are) but I think that they (the Jewish Republican groups) will have an impact on the election, albeit a modest one.
Awesome article.
Off topic for a sec.

Oops…someone call Joe the plumber, I mighta accidentally flushed a voter.
They write headlines:
McCain defends Palin, robo calls, health
http://www.swamppolitics.com/news/politics/blog/2008/10/
mccain_defends_palin_robocalls.html
A more accurate headline:
harry smith attacks mccain with obama camp talking points
Some highlights:
Harry Smith: Even Sarah Palin has come out and said she would prefer that the robo calls stop. Your robo calls.
Palin didn’t say that. But that lie is being pushed by obama himself.
Smith: A lot of Republican pundits have said, in the last couple of weeks, have said that your choice of Sarah Palin has been a disaster, If in fact you found out that her candidacy cost you the election, would you still say that it was the right choice?
obiden recently said mmcain was sorry he picked Palin.
Smith: Can you reassure the American people right now that your health is what it needs to be in order to take office, and not be concerned that it will become a factor, should you become president of the United States.
Oddly three days ago the nyts and wapo on the same day decided medical records from the candidates were very important. Both papers thought obama’s aren’t really important because he looks so healthy but mccain’s are really important because mccain is old. Doesn’t seem a little odd both papers picked to same day to ask about mcain’s records because mccain is old and mention obama’s record really aren’t important because obama is healthy? The “liberal media” is using the bill frist method of diagnosis.
From top to bottom, beginning to end harry smith atacked mccain with obama camp talking points.

Important Update:
Obama & DNC Admit All Allegations of Federal Court Lawsuit - Obama’s “Not” Qualified to be President
Obama Should Immediately Withdraw his Candidacy for President
For Immediate Release: - 10/21/08 - Complete contact details and a pdf are at the end of this article
(Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania ” 10/21/08) - Philip J. Berg, Esquire, the Attorney who filed suit against Barack H. Obama challenging Senator Obama’s lack of “qualifications” to serve as President of the United States, announced today that Obama and tbe DNC “ADMITTED”, by way of failure to timely respond to Requests for Admissions, all of the numerous specific requests in the Federal lawsuit. Obama is “NOT QUALIFIED” to be President and therefore Obama must immediately withdraw his candidacy for President and the DNC shall substitute a qualified candidate. The case is Berg v. Obama, No. 08-cv-04083.
Berg stated that he filed Requests for Admissions on September 15, 2008 with a response by way of answer or objection had to be served within thirty [30] days. No response to the Requests for Admissions was served by way of response or objection. Thus, all of the Admissions directed to Obama and the DNC are deemed “ADMITTED.” Therefore, Obama must immediately withdraw his candidacy for President.

Along with the PA./Berg lawsuit.. The Hawaii Supreme Court was petitioned to order Obama’s secret birth records released.-Monday-10/20/08-HAWAII DOCKET NUMBER: 29414…
I don’t mean to be cynical however, could it explain Obama’s need to visit “TOOT” in Hawaii? He suddenly discovered that his grandmother, who suffers from osteoporosis, had taken a fall and had been released from the hospital last week, when he and Michelle showed no concern, now needs his immediate attention…
According to a campaign spokesperson, her health had deteriorated “to the point where her situation is very serious.” IF the situation is so dire, and Granny is in her “final days”, I find it curious as to why the entire family is not accompanying Obama. Instead Michelle is going out on the campaign stump? Curiouser and Curiouser.
If she is ‘very serious’, why is Obama not flying out until Thursday…due back on Saturday?
That logic won’t flow. Its dammed up by illogic.
Why am I not surpised, this didn’t get coverage?

Great pictures!
1) Barney Frank: deficit fear should take a back seat and we should increase taxes. why is anyone listening to this guy. i just get the feeling that in a couple of years as we are all standing on soup lines, we’ll be playing this clip of Frank again taking a boneheaded stance as he did on the proposals for regulating Freddie/Frannie:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u1Mazjm_A5k
2) I have been hearing that Biden twice made the dire predictions of the world going to test Obama. Apparently, he was at two separate fundraisers and made the same prediction at both.
3) Obama’s new economic package now provides for no capital gain taxes. I distinctly remember during the primary debates his proposal to increase capital gain taxes and sounding like an idiot when asked whether that wouldn’t hurt the economy, with his answer being a variation on the recent spread the wealth response. Also, didn’t he just hammer McC for proposing no cap gain taxes, again saying something like he couldn’t imagine that during this crisis anyone would have capital gains. can he just do 180% turns with impunity and without the media calling him on it.
4) Spread the word — Obama is trying to buy the election with his hundreds of millions. Can you imagine if it were the Rep’s who rejected public campaign financing and were throwing this much money at an election? the NYTimes would have front page headlines and Maureen Dowd would be ascerbic.
True Patriots, you guys are awesome!!! I was rooting for Hillary and contributed to her campaign when she just would not quit and earned my respect—now YOU have that spirit, never quitting, never giving up. You are the folks who poured tea in the Boston harbor.
Thank God for PUMA Patriots! Love you guys..
PUMA!
About BO’s Hawaii trip–this guy doesn’t put one foot in front of the other unless he stands to benefit from it. If his ‘typical white grandmother’(as opposed to his untypical black grandmother–what?)was on her deathbed with hours to go his first response would be “What’s in it for me?” And remember he didn’t go to his beloved mother’s funeral.
It is rewarding to meet PUMAs and Dems for McCain in person since we are all on the same page and got to our current beliefs through our mutual experience.
In these final days it is great to see the effort and the conviction of everyone increasing in intensity and pulling out all the stops.
Put on that bumper sticker, get that lawn sign out there, volunteer, wear a t-shirt, speak up at work or school or to your neighbors. There is so much people still do not know and we are the ones who must tell them. We are the witnesses to this crime.
Thank you Real Democrats!
I hope your visibility will give others the courage and inspiration to do the right thing for this country!
All many people need is a nudge in the right direction, and your willingness to expose yourselves may be just the ticket!
The McCain/Palin ticket!
