Why?

To read every day yet another personal story about a propaganda-lock being snapped; a formerly numb knee-jerk mind coming alive again!

I’m neither dem nor rep…I’m libertarian…and an agnostic….and the uncritical knee-jerk ‘follow every PC fad’ type of sociopolitical response by 90% of the population just freaking horrifies me. So any time I see a post that shows someone suddenly waking up to how they’ve been used by the powers-that-be, it lets me breath a tiny bit freer.

This post from earlier in this thread put a huge smile on my face…..

I offer a heartfelt “you go girl!” to that woman; because it IS hard to ’snap out of’ years and years of constant indoctrination and conditioning, and start thinking for oneself again…..start examining EVERY hype critically, and thinking about possible underlying motivations for why the ’system’ (gov/msm/big-money) might be pushing that particular feel-good notion.

I ask all recently awoken people only one thing: PLEASE apply your newfound wakefulness and awareness of how badly you’ve been duped and used as a tool, to ALL the subjects hyped by MSM…..to ALL the things we libertarians have been pointing out to you in vain for so many years. A couple examples…

Gun ‘control’: We told you it was a scam; and pointed to study after study showing crime going DOWN with increased gun-ownership, especially by (and empowering) women!

We did point out how absolutely LUDICROUS it was to penalize, restrict, and excoriate, upstanding gunowners when they aren’t the ones raping and killing people.

The “Eco”: yes, we all love the eco…..but unless you step back a bit and set aside the knee-jerk emotions (which is what left-gatekeepers and MSM are ALWAYS trying to excite, to block out critical analysis), you might not have noticed that the ‘eco’ movement stopped being about anti-pollution 20 yrs back, and was quietly morphed into a LAND-CONTROL movement benefiting big-gov, big real-estate money, and one-worlders.

Virtually every ‘eco’ fad that the MSM/gov whips the herd with these days ends up hurting the property-rights enshrined in our Constitution….YOUR property-rights too.

Here’s my own little epiphany, which hit me back in the 90’s:

The MORE the MSM is hyping something, the LESS true it is.

If they’re SWEARING to it, then it’s an absolute bald-faced LIE.

That may sound like only a bit of humor, but I’m telling you, since I first blurted it out while watching the news one day, my sharp and talented mate has been keeping track of various issues that prompt me to mention that ‘law’, and she says there is over a 90% correlation!

So seriously, it IS a true and accurate law you can use to evaluate the massive propaganda-machine that is MSM/hollywood/gov-pr.

So PLEASE…..I beg you…apply your new self-empowering propaganda-resistance to ALL the feel-good and PC crap hype they bombard us with every minute of every day.

Become a “contrary investor” in our -country-….in our -freedom-…in our -individuality-.

Yes, I’ll ask you to also respect and embrace even that ‘evil’ word: individuality…individualism, individual personal strength and integrity.

You can’t complain about Bush violating the Constitution in some way if YOU shouted support for violation of the Constitution in some other area.

Like favoring yet another so-called ‘eco protection’ that was actually a property-rights infringement in ‘pretty sounding’ disguise.

When you support the violation of ANY part of the Constitution, you weaken ALL of its wise provisions and protections of us.

Every single thing you support which concentrates more power in government TAKES power from us, the citizens.

By definition, asking and expecting “the government” to ‘do something’ or ‘fix’ things for you, is a damage to our own strength and rights. You can’t have it both ways.

Governments will ALWAYS have corrupt and amoral people in the top tier. It is INHERENT because every population always has a small number who are more ‘driven’, insatiable, and amoral than the rest of us; and that type will ALWAYS rise to the top of whatever hierarchy a society builds for itself.

The bigger you build it, the more room for sociopaths there is at the top. The more of your rights and powers you hand over and concentrate into that structure, the more power you are handing to those very same sociopaths-for-rent; and the big-money shadow-players who control them.

This will ALWAYS happen, no matter what label you put on your structure…democracy, socialism, capitalism, monarchy, whatever. It’s just plain human-nature and population-demographics.

So obviously, the ONLY way to avoid the exact kind of overpowering government/media/corp machines that’s crushing us today is to NOT build such a huge bloated government/structure in the first place.

Don’t -hand- them all our power in the first place.

Despite the shrieking tenor of the ‘progressive’ complaints on every subject, the fact is that our society HAS made tremendous changes and progress in every area already.

Eco….racism…..women’s rights….EVERY area they screech about. And FAST change isn’t necessarily a good thing anyway.

And sadly, while using those emotional-trigger issues to get and keep us worked up constantly, they’ve been expanding the size and -power- of government continuously for 40 years now.

Yet our country and society is in a huge mess now, even after 40 years of government ’solutions’; with many overwhelming problems, debts, deficits, and bleeding cultural faultlines.

Set aside all ideological knee-jerks for a moment and ask yourself; what is the only logical conclusion you can reach?

Big intrusive government, and our willingly making ourselves dependent on it for every freaking thing, DOES…NOT….WORK.

If you want to back out of all the problems we’re in, you MUST support backing out of the huge, cancerous governments you might’ve supported the build-up of. On all levels, fed, state, local.

You MUST support the repair of the PC-crap indoctrination-centers that our schools were turned into by uncritical knee-jerk support of the NEA, etc., etc..

From the many healthy PUMA comments (like the one above that I’ve seen recently), I finally have hope that we still have a tiny slim chance to reverse course, and not end up as serfs in a worldwide totalitarian welfare/police state.

But it will take everyone’s courage to finally say, for example:

“No, upon reflection, I actually DON’T think that land-control measure is a good idea; and even if I ‘liked’ it, it’s unconstitutional and I no longer support ANYTHING that isn’t in strict adherence to the constitution”.

Willingly supporting the concentration of power in big-gov, instead of retaining it in ourselves, is THE critical underlying issue which all our other problems and pernicious parasitic sociopaths squat upon. Let’s yank the rug out on the smug bastards!

If you feel any resonance to it, then please pass it on to other people and places you associate with; and get them also to understand that the propaganda-mindlock they’ve just broken free of applies to ALL issues they’ve been hyped and duped on; not just the Obamahype.

I’m one of those who spent my whole life devoted to my career and my party, and so what? What has other done for me? This is the first election season I won’t be slaving away for the Democratic Party. Let someone else do it. They have gotten enough of free time from me!

What Sarah (and Hillary) embodies is a woman who has done it all, enjoyed life in the process, and taken a different path from the ones society has taught us to follow. We women must set the example that a full life is the one to aim for, the one on our own terms, at our own pace. We are never too late in learning that lesson.

I won’t succumb to “The Progressive Dude Nation” that is sure to dominate us if Obama wins.

Another reason that there are so many sexist policies against women — all states make women pay for their own rape kits! If you have insurance, they’re gonna get from them. Much like if you have a miscarriage they assume that you are married, and your insurance will try not to pay for it until you have signed your name in blood that you aren’t married and have no husband whose insurance will pay for it!

Just saw the original “Stepford Wives” and kept thinking how my friends are becoming more like that every day, blindly casting their support to Obama and the neo-progressives.
