GET ON BOARD HARRIET’S BUS

I want to thank No Quarter for all your support in helping make our bus trips to Pennsylvania so successful. The number of volunteers on last weekend’s trip to Scranton doubled from the previous week. (Below is another photo and a complete list of dates and times until November 4th.)
It was great to see everyone but we were especially glad to welcome two PUMAs from Florida who flew up to be part of our canvassing efforts.
Personally, I can see the progress from one week to the next – our efforts are definitely making a difference. Not enough can be said for the effect of our increasing visibility and support for John McCain. A highlight of Saturday’s trip was a special invitation to Cindy McCain’s first rally, whereby she specifically acknowledged us and thanked us for our efforts. Then on Sunday, Joe McCain, John’s brother, stopped in to headquarters to personally thank us for all our hard work. We’re on the radar and we’re having an impact!
This weekend we will have buses leaving on Saturday and Sunday for canvassing efforts in Allentown.
A huge turnout will continue to remind all the other disheartened Democrats throughout the country (official PUMAs and others) that they are not alone.
Our visibility on the news will help quash the MSM narrative that this thing is over. Also, on a personal note, it’s very therapeutic to see firsthand the media’s distortion of what average Americans are really thinking.
Since so many groups have had success organizing buses from now until Election Day Weekend (congratulations to all of them!) I wanted to give you our schedule for anyone who wants to join me and the other PUMAs.
Through sponsorship from the McCain campaign, we’ve been able to have buses available for the remaining weekends until November 4th. Following is the schedule for, what is now being called “Harriet’s Bus” –
Saturday, October 25th – NY to Allentown – GOTV (departs 9am)
Sunday, October 26th – NY to Luzern – GOTV (departs 9am)
Saturday, November 1st – NY to Scranton – GOTV (departs 9am)

I live in Leesburg, VA. and we had a rally at Ida Lee park tonight for Obama and Mark Warner, Gov. Tim Kaine was there, as well.
I gathered with some McCain people across from the entrance and we were quite visible to BO as he made his way into the Park, as were the HUGE McCain Palin signs at the entrance, and all along his route into town. I had my autographed Hillary for President sign which on the flip side now sports a Democrats For McCain sticker. I had numerous people come by giving the thumbs up, and some even stopped to Thank Me, and to tell me the PUMAs had truly inspired them to get more involved.
30,000 people is the estimation of the crowd, which sounds impressive, but taken into context with the population of Loudoun (and that this was hailed as a Northern VA/DC/Southern MD Rally I know Sarah Palin would have drawn a much larger crowd. (Maybe we will get a visit and test out my theory)
Anyway, great time tonight, I was interviewed by some BBC Reporters and I just felt really proud that I protested but remained civil throughout.
PUMAs please do what you are doing, and change some minds and encourage some others to join us. It can get confrontational (I was engaged by a young woman in a verbal battle over issues until it was obvious she just was trying to argue but w/o any facts–at which point I told her I refused to engage in a battle of wits with an unarmed woman)
I love your spirit and I know that John McCain and Sarah Palin are humbled by the love and support you have shown them. We all are. As Bill O’Reilly would say “You PUMAs are Patriots”

Harriet: The first time I saw you on 5/31, I had tears streaming down my face for the death of the Democratic Party…my party since beginning to vote. I know, it’s an all too common story.
When you, Harriet, came on screen and verbalized your outrage and anger, it mobilized me and it was just like waving a magic wand…voila! No more Democrat. Now and Independent, I voted for McCain/Palin and happily. Not for revenge (although it did feel great) but because it seemed as though my eyes were open for the first time about these losers.

Obama Goon slashes and robs for Obama
PITTSBURGH — A 20-year-old woman who was robbed at an ATM in Bloomfield was also maimed by her attacker, apparently because of her political views, police said.
According to WTAE’s news exchange partners the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review Ashley Todd, of College Station, Texas, was using an ATM at Liberty Avenue and Pearl Street in Bloomfield just before 9 p.m. on Wednesday when a man approached her and put a knife to her throat.
Police spokeswoman Diane Richard said the robber took $60 from Todd, then became angry when he saw a McCain bumper sticker on the victim’s car. The attacker then punched and kicked the victim, before using the knife to scratch the letter “B” into her face, Richard said.
The Tribune reported that Todd, who isn’t familiar with the area, drove to a friend’s house and together the pair located the Citizens Bank ATM at Liberty and Pearl where the attack happened and called police.
Todd declined to comment to the Tribune. Friends said she is in Pittsburgh volunteering for the McCain-Palin campaign.
Richard said the woman refused medical treatment after the assault, which happened outside the view of the bank’s surveillance cameras.
The robber is described as a dark-skinned black man, 6 feet 4 inches tall, 200 pounds with a medium build, short black hair and brown eyes. The man was wearing dark colored jeans, a black undershirt and black shoes.
The Obama-Biden campaign released a statement, commenting on the attack. The statement said “Our thoughts and prayers are with the young woman for her to make a speedy recovery, and we hope that the person who perpetrated this crime is swiftly apprehended and brought to justice.”
The McCain-Palin campaign also released a statement saying “The McCain campaign is aware of the incident involving one of its volunteers. Out of respect, the campaign won’t be commenting. The campaign also confirms that Senator McCain and Governor Palin have both spoken to the woman.”
