And the only thing not true is lazy, because obama definately is not other than that I think she was pretty accurate, and don’t call me racist you dolt cause i’m black. I guess it would puzzle you, but what she is doing is judging obama by the content of his character. MLK never said I have dream that no black person no matter how shameless, is lauded as something he’s not. The biggest difference between what is said on this board and what obama does is that he lies and he degrades people on a forum where anyone can and will hear it. And for you to say that obama has been attacked more than any other candidate. I beg to differ. Sarah Palin especially has been treated I would say twice as horribly as hillary cliton. As for barack, I have never seen a man have lips planted so firmly to his buttocks. So please don’t come on here whining about how your mental midget has been treated horribly it cause just doesn’t jive, for what any idiot not sopped up on Koolaid could see. Take that bull and the maxed out race card back to the Koolaid gang central and sit on it. Obama has earned his ire and then some. I could find some less pleasent more accurate degrading words than she did to describe him and you worlds like theif, bigoted, trifling, jackass, arrogent SOB. So go back to obamatown and wait for him to heal your soul or pass out the cynide laced koolaid when he looses.

Agreed. This is sick, regardless of who it depicts; because it depicts political candidates, it’s also a sign of the political sickness that has infected our nation.

First of all, what does Obama have to do with this nut in West Hollywood who committed this atrocious act??? Please tell me. And, American Girl, your posting on this blog as well as others continually hammer at the sexist remarks made to Hillary by Obama and the MSM. Please, give some of these? same old same old attacks….would you like to see some of the attacks that YOU and others like you have made on Obama?

the above is just a start - couple that with all the smears on his associations, whether recent or 25 years ago and for whatever tenuous tie, and I would say Obama has received the worst of the insults throughout the campaign.

Sexism and racism exist - and not just in this country. Hillary and Obama are NOT guilty of either in my opinion and its really shameful to see the attacks from all sides against these two intelligent people.
So don’t vote for Obama…who cares? buy why the continual hammering on these things that have been soooo over for months now.
For someone who lives abroad (I assume you live in Italy), it puzzles me how you can be so narrow-minded.

Ask yourself why you can’t get away with hanging a black effigy; then ask yourself how this came to be.

We have a right to free speech. We may not like what the other guy has to say, but he has the right to say it. The problem has become that only certain views are allowed. Neither we nor the government has the right to choose who can say what. I’ve heard many many things in my life that I’ve found offensive. How I chose to react or not react was my decision, no one elses.

Political effigies are not new, folks. There were TONS of Bush effigies last year.

What I personally find off-putting? Nobody dares do one on Obama.

Really psyched. Analyzed the data from the presidential election at our school and discovered two things: The old the students were, the more likely they were to vote for McCain and that young male voters voted overwhelmingly for McCain. Teachers however were kooky!!! Out of 80 teachers and administrators: 23 voted McPalin, 55 voted Obiden, 2 Ron Paul. The most liberal were the Math teachers, the English Teachers, and the Science Teachers. Most conservative were the Social Studies teachers and the Other teachers (Category for people that didn’t fall into a specified department.) Math and English were really bad, all but three were for Os..bama.

This poster sarah has the DNA of a Obamabot and the integrity of a weasel. She defines the macro world of the Obama campaign to a tee and therefore may have 10% chance of being truthful.

A good 45% of Americans’ don’t have the time or access to political sites with the truth instead of MSM propaganda, but I trust in most of this group to have the gut feeling about Obama and Michele. They will make up their minds when they vote and it will inevitably go to McCain/Palin, the safer of the two tickets.

Sorry, AnninCA. On this one I totally disagree. There’s nothing funny about hanging a woman, slugging a woman or killing a woman. Yes, it’s an effigy. But it’s a symbol of the disregard so many of these young men have for women in general. We’ve heard the filthy names in repeated posts.

There’s point at which you say “No!” Pretending that hanging a figure of Sarah Palin is good, clean fun is where I say, “Stop it! Stop it, now.”

If this were a figure of Barack Obama or Michelle Obama no one would be laughing. Why? Because of the history. Take a gander at the stats on violence against women that no one ever wants to talk about. It’s not new. It goes wa-a-y back.

This is not a funny stunt. It’s an insult.

And btw, my older sister died at the hands of her husband. So, I’m clean out of good humor.

If it’s not hate, what is it— deep seated perversion. This election has brought out the very worst in people and the best; though locating it is like a needle in a haystack and once one does.. watch the sparks fly. I’d also like to point out to the individual that not all Russian American heritages and backgrounds behave in that manner; from the upper Midwest peninsula, we’d very easily shoot several deer, wash the skins, debone, and can the meat. We respect Sarah Palin because she represents survivalism.

I guess I’ve been running around with blinders on, Silver Fox. This election has opened my eyes in so many ways. This is just one arena. The idea that a woman, an elder stateswoman of the original movement could so cavalier, so totally phony . . . astounded me. I guess I never got the email that only “certain” women qualify for feminine support and congrats. And that if you don’t follow the strict party line, then liberal women will turn on you like barracuda.

I wrote on another thread that in my mind, Sarah Palin is the poster child for what feminists fought for at the start: a successful professional woman, a wife and mother, a woman who could say: I can do it all, maybe not perfectly all the time, but I can juggle like hell and rely on temporary respites from the people around me. Plain’s husband, Todd, is obviously a huge helpmate. She’s a lucky woman.

I’m the first person to admit that Palin is “not” Hillary Clinton. Nor would I expect her to be. But what happened to women saying, Sister, I do not agree with your political stance, but I have your back because you are where we always hoped women could go.

I, too, was somewhat gladdened when local NOW Chapter heads came to Palin’s support. But there should be more.

If not, that glass ceiling won’t ever be broken and the “frat boy” mentality will continue to rule the day.

And women can look in the mirror and see the reason for that failure.
