About Time!

Comment by Jeanette | 2008-11-03 22:42:20

How sad that you have believe this drivel. Can you not go to the US Legislative website and read for yourselves the legislation passed in the past ten years? It is really, really easy. All you have to do is a little research. Why do you choose to believe the lies that have been spoon fed to you in “liberal” does.

Democrats are not afraid to argue with one another. Republicans apparently do not like to argue with one another. Whatever the upper echelon says is right is right, and no one questions anything.

There is a myth that all democrats hate all republicans. It is a myth. We don’t hate republicans, but we do hate those who wish to suppress our freedom of speech.

I call upon all republicans to get involved in their party and clean up the corruption that has swamped it, and threatens to destroy a once noble party of free thinkers whose fiscally conservative views help bring balance to legislative process.

Read your history. Research the Constitution. Strive to understand once again the roots of your own party. The passing of the US Constitution created a division of views between those who espoused state rights and those who believed that our country needed to maintain a united front against foreign interests.

I believe the Republicans are better than what the current leadership represents. Corruption is corruption.

Comment by Kerry Epting | 2008-11-07 01:22:31

I find it hard to believe that you think the Republicans are the only corrupt ones!
The Democrats have been in power in the congress for the last two years and have caused the gridlock we have seen in Washington. They haven’t let anything be passed, good or bad!
What about the so-called oversight committee for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac headed by Barney Franks? He reportedly pushed for the bad mortgages that caused the economic crisis!
What about the three top takers of campaign money from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac; Dodd, Obama, and Franks?
These people are your very own but refuse to take any responsibility for the economic crisis!
Case of the pot calling the kettle black? (no pun intended!)
I am a Democrat turned Republican because I couldn’t stand the far left liberal agenda any more!

Obama is going to win regardless of the racist commercials you are running. All Americans should reject this trash that you spew. We need to get behind this fine man and turn this country over to a new generation with hopes and plans for the future.

Comment by Yvonne | 2008-11-03 23:55:39

You should be embarrassed and ashamed of the absolute lies and twisting of facts; taking bits from an entire sermon and using it out of context; This is NOT the type of race we expected from McCain — but apparently he is stooping to the lowest level possible with these ads of lies. Do you really think people are just going to believe you and not check out the facts? If so, then you underestimate the people in Pennsylvania !!!

Comment by Kathleen | 2008-11-13 16:43:29

I can’t see how this can possibly be taken out of context. That criticism is usually reserved for one or two sentences. This man’s rant when on for quite awhile. He is antiAmerican. No doubt in my mind. The Emperor has no clothes. Those who can’t see it are mesmerized by bling.

Who Is Barack Obama?? And would he even qualify for an FBI security clearance if he were to apply for a routine federal government job??

Now that we know every possible detail of Joe the Plumber, maybe it’s time to reflect on the aspects of Obama’s personal and private live that continue to be sheilded from the public, with the assistance of the main-stream media.

Many people are under the mistaken belief that Presidential candidates have gone through an FBI check or some other verification of their background prior to the election process. That is not the case.

The “vetting” is done solely by the electorate, and so far the voters have received only minimal information on Obama, his financial backers, and formative years.

Would OBAMA even qualify for an FBI security clearance if he were to apply for a routine government job (as opposed to running for President)?

Putting aside documents showing his ties to Ayers, ACORN, Wright, Frank Marshall Davis (his communist mentor), etc., here are some examples of the information Obama continues to withhold:

* Obama has released just one brief document detailing his personal health. McCain, on the other hands, released what he said was his complete medical file totaling more than 1500 pages. After criticism on the matter, last week the Obama campaign also released some routine lab-test results and electrocardiograms for Obama. All test results appeared normal, but many details about his health remain a mystery.

* Obama has refused to offer his official papers as a state legislator in Illinois, and has been unable to produce correspondence, such as letters from lobbyists and other correspondence from his days in the Illinois state senate. There are also no appointment calendars available of his official activities. “It could have been thrown out,” Obama said while on the campaign trail during the Democratic primary. “I haven’t been in the state Senate now for quite some time.”

* Obama has not released his client list as an attorney or his billing records. Obama has maintained that he only performed a few hours of legal work for a nonprofit organization with ties to Tony Rezko, the Chicago businessman convicted of fraud in June. But he has not released billing records that would prove this assertion.

* Obama won’t release his college records from Occidental College where he studied for two years before transferring to Columbia.

* Obama’s campaign refuses to give Columbia University, where he earned an undergraduate degree in political science, permission to release his transcripts. Such transcripts would list the courses Obama took, and his grades. President George W. Bush, and presidential contenders Al Gore and John Kerry, all released their college transcripts. (McCain has refused to release his Naval Academy transcript.)

* Obama’s college dissertation has simply disappeared from Columbia Universities archives. In July, in response to a flurry of requests to review Obama’s senior thesis at the Ivy League school, reportedly titled “Soviet Nuclear Disarmament,” Obama spokesman Ben LaBolt told NBC News “We do not have a copy of the course paper you requested and neither does Columbia University.”

* The senator has not agreed to the release of his application to the Illinois state bar, which would clear up intermittent allegations that his application to the bar may have been inaccurate.

* Jim Geraghty of the National Review has written extensively about Obama’s unwillingness to release records related to clients he represented while he was an attorney with the Chicago law firm of Davis, Miner, Barnhill, and Gallard. Obama was required to list his clients during his years in the Illinois senate. “Obama listed every client of the firm,” Geraghty reported, making it impossible to discern which clients he represented.

* Obama has never released records from his time at Harvard Law School.

* Obama also has not disclosed the names of small donors giving $200 or less to his campaign. An exception to the finance-reporting laws exempts the campaign from reporting those who donate less than $200, but that law never envisioned the more than $300 million that has been raised by Obama in small amounts. The Republican National Committee has released its small donors, as well as McCain’s, on a public database.

* International travel records, including those showing why he was able to travel into Pakistan during a time when U.S. Passport holders were not admitted.

Please spread this listing far and wide, as the MSM refuses to report.

Just read and laugh and Pray for them…regardless of the hate, and eveil words, Obama will be thier president too, no matter how much they hate him. That’s awesome! The difference between most Obama supporters and the people who are spouting hate is that I am not voting for McCain, but I think McCain is a good person and I think he is a nice man and he has done some great things for our country, I would never make racial or nasty comments about him! If he were to win he would be my president and I would respect him for that. It is so sad to see that racsist are still Klu Kluxing around and spouting hate. My God won’t let me hate… what God do these people serve? This election has forced some people to show thier true colors… to show who and what they really are on the inside… evil. All we can do is pray and hope that we come together as a nation and move pass hatred and ignorance. I say God Bless America and all Americans… And I am proud of both men for putting the work and the time and the dedication to run for president! it is not easy, they risk thier lives traveling daily and thier health because they are up late and they are eating on the go, they bothe have beautiful families and they have been through alot as well! God bless them and may the best man win!

Sarah Palin has close tied to the Alaskan Independence Party and her husband was a member for 7 years. Their founder is quoted as saying “My government is my worst enemy. A Witness to Partial-birth Abortion

In March of 2002, we received communication from a retired nurse who witnessed two partial-birth abortions. Scott Johnston of our research department conducted the following interview with her.

What kind of nursing were you ordinarily doing around the time that these abortions took place?

“Obstetrics.”

How many partial birth abortions did you personally witness?

“Two full-term abortions. They were done at nine months.”

What do you know of the circumstances surrounding these abortions? Why were they being done?

“One of the mothers already had three or four and she didn’t want any more.”

“The other girl was single. She didn’t have a husband and had no means of support. I asked, ‘Why don’t you put the baby up for adoption?’ She said, ‘I don’t know how it would be treated.’”

“The doctor was an O.B. doctor. I would say he was not of the highest caliber either. He had a bad reputation. He had a lot of deaths of babies that were born because he did not take care of them properly. He was sloppy. Normally, this doctor would be in the farthest back delivery room. When they did abortions, the doctors usually had their own nurse. This one didn’t. He was a sleezeball.”

How did it come to be that you were present for these abortions?

“I did not know what I was going into. I was just told to assist him [the doctor]. They just told me which delivery room to go to.”

“The reason I was in on [the first trimester abortion] is because I said to the doctor: even in the first trimester those babies have pain. ‘I’ll bet you it hurts, too.’”

Did you know ahead of time for each case that an abortion was going to be done?

“No.”

Who else was in the room?

“There was one other nurse.”

What were your nursing duties during these procedures?

“I was usually there to receive the baby and take care of the baby when it was born. Their little hands–they grasp for something. They try to grab hold of something.”

Can you describe the partial-birth abortions you witnessed? What did you see?

“He turned the baby around [in the womb] and brought it out feet first. That’s one of the worse things for the mother that you can do. I was helping the doctor hold the baby [to keep it in the birth canal]. The other nurse got the instrument [a large syringe with a large needle], handed it to the doctor, and he inserted it into the base of the skull. Then he pulled the baby out. Its little hands were grasping. When the baby quit grasping, then he delivered it. He used the syringe to suction out the brains. That’s more traumatic on the mother than if she had given a normal birth.”

“They took the [dead] baby and wrapped it up in a receiving blanket and asked her [the mother] if she wanted to hold it. She said she didn’t want to. Neither one of them wanted to see them.”

“They were sent to the morgue.”

What was your reaction?

“I was so sick. I was absolutely nauseous. I couldn’t believe all that was taking place.”

“I told the charge nurse I didn’t want to work with him anymore.”

“I think it’s such a horrible thing. I said a prayer for those babies.”

What was the reaction of the other personnel who were present with you at these abortions?

“With the doctor, he was so nonchalant. It was no big thing.”

“I never saw her [the other nurse] reactions.”

You also witnessed a first trimester abortion. Please describe what happened.

“The doctor did a sonogram to show me that the baby didn’t feel it. On the sonogram, when he started the suction, the baby’s arms spread out. It immediately threw its hands out. Its little arms spread out. So, you know it had to feel it.

[The instrument used for the first trimester abortion] it is a silver tube with stainless steel blades on it. He inserts it first, and then turns on the suction. The baby comes out all shredded. ‘Now, you watch this, and you’ll see how it doesn’t feel a thing.’ [The doctor said] I think it was kind of shocking to him. I looked at him and he looked at me, and then he wouldn’t look at me after that. I don’t think he had used a sonogram before during an abortion. It was over in a short period of time.”

“That doctor is not here [at the same hospital] anymore. He had so many malpractice suits he had to leave town.”

What is the reaction of people you have talked to since then about what happened?

“Anybody who starts talking about partial birth abortion, I say, ‘Do you know what it is?’ And I tell them what it is! They just usually look kind of wide-eyed with their mouths open. And one girl said, ‘I don’t believe you.’ I said, ‘why should I stand up here and lie to you?’ Most people are just shocked.”

Comment by Yvette | 2008-11-02 01:12:42

PARTIAL BIRTH ABORTION= MONSTER= OBAMA

Comment by Suds | 2008-11-03 21:12:32

I disbelieve this. I lost a dear, dear friend because she got in terrible trouble right at the end of pregnancy and it was either one live or neither live. Well, neither lived. “Partial birth abortion” is not a medical term- it is “late term abortion”. That already makes me doubt your claim to being a nurse.

Did you read the whole sermon about how America has strayed from God and needs to repent — right after 9/11, many fundamentalist preachers were saying the same, even predicting that the end of time was near because of the state of the nation. Get the facts before passing judgment — don’t just listen to the excerpts these people want you to hear.

Comment by Obama All The Way! | 2008-11-04 08:35:13

McCain looks like a liar with those tight lips and weird face. He cant identify with middle class people, he has over 7 houses! The preacher was a little harsh, but he spoke the truth about alot of horrible things white people do to african americans. Why do u think it is ok to mistreat people just for their skin color but when someone speaks up against the real truth, you’re uncomfortable with it. Get over it! The Truth Is The Truth!

Comment by Monet | 2008-11-04 08:38:59

Yes your right, we should all be accountable for any conversations we’ve had with anyone we have encountered in our entire lives. I hope I’m not even accountable for what my own mother says or have listened to half the time. What I find offensive is the ignorance people have no problem displaying. Come on people are you really that stupid to believe this nonsense these people are putting on commercials? And I guess you’re the people that believe in flying saucers!!!LOL

And the comedian said “The one guy who would have let you out and you freaking killed him.” LOL

Thanks for posting the ads.

I don’t think I could sit in a room with Ayers without spitting on him. I don’t get how his elite circle of friends can justify his behavior. I just don’t think I could twist reality around that much so that I could feel comfortable with his radical ideas. It was described as an almost career ending incident.
Do You know what he did?
Guess!
What comes to Your mind?
Child abuse?
Murder?
What?
You know what he did? He lied!
Wow!

I mean this guy BO does this on a daily basis.
Are we all morally total numb?
What does he have to do to get questioned?

The list from “no acorn” is loooong, but still.
In Japan he would have to commit public suicide I suppose, here he gets elected.
Well, actually not.
Because BO will lose dramatically.
But unfortunately not because of his shady background or his lack of substance.

Why dont American jews get hyped on any remarks or agression against Israel? NY jews, the loud influential ones. are never behind gop defending them. The west coast loud mouth celebrities. Are always for BO. IM dying to know. Why are jewish ppl normally always pushing democrats? Whats in it for them?

There are 9 million jews in America. Why do the voices of so few have an outcome on our foreign policy? The US has more relatives in the Liberia,Nigeria, sierrra leon, cameroon area.

BHO says little to jack on defense of Israel. His no condition talk to IRAN is gonna go nowhere. Hes against space missle technology. Which means we will never develop a system to protect our allies againset missles.

You raise some excellent questions about Jewish behavior. Interesting too how that the Jews who actively resisted Hitler fared much better on average than those who compliantly boarded the trains to the concentration camps.

Maybe those kind of contradictions are the reason why in the Bible, God deals with mankind through the Jewish people. They are representative of all of us.

Just a thought.

BREAKING NEWS: State Lawmaker Joins Quest for Information on Obama

I’m with Rep. Metcalfe. This isn’t just a Barack Obama-centric issue. This is a constitutional issue. Let’s have the documentation from all candidates, and let’s make sure there’s oversight as to eligibility in the future.

After Obama, McCain Rulings, State Rep. Wants Presidential Candidates to Prove Citizenship, Place of Birth
By Alex Roarty, PolitickerPA.com

A week after a Pennsylvania lawsuit challenging Barack Obama’s right to run for president was thrown out of court, a state lawmaker has authored a bill that would force presidential candidates to prove they’re a United States citizen before being placed on state ballots.

“As a veteran and an elected official who takes an oath of office, just like every past and future President of the United States, to uphold and defend the Constitutional rights of the citizens I represent, it is greatly perplexing and beyond troubling that a political candidate can ascend to the White House without providing sufficient documentation verifying his or her place of birth or American citizenship,” state Rep. Daryl Metcalfe (R-Butler County) said in a statement. “This legislation is intended to send the message that even those candidates who are running for our nation’s highest office are not above the law.”

Former Chairman of the Montgomery County Democratic Committee Philip Berg filed the suit against Obama, saying the candidate did not provide an authentic birth certificate. The judge ruled against him, saying harm from an allegedly ineligible candidate was “too vague and its effects too attenuated to confer standing on any and all voters.”

In an interview with PolitickerPA.com, Metcalfe said many of his constituents came to his office asking him about the validity of the lawsuit against Obama. When he and his staff researched the issue, Metcalfe said they were shocked to find out presidential candidates in Pennsylvania don’t have to prove that they were born in the United States, or that they are a citizen.

Every other elected office in the state must provide proof they are eligible to run, he said.

“I think the majority of citizens would be shocked there isn’t more oversight of candidates by state government,” Metcalfe said.

The lawmaker argues he is only trying to close a loophole that will put voters’ minds at ease about the candidates on the ballot. Even with the intense scrutiny a presidential candidate must endure, the state must have a system of checks and balances, he said.

“It would really be the greatest hoax in U.S. history if somebody did get past the scrutiny,” he said.

Still, it’s almost impossible to separate his stated intention and the questions some Republicans have about Obama’s origins. Rumors have spread that Obama was actually born outside the country and that his birth certificate is a fake. That birth certificate proves he was born in Hawaii in 1961.

Asked if he thinks the Democratic presidential nominee was born in the United States and is a citizen, Metcalfe didn’t equivocally answer “yes.”

“You would certainly think someone is, having held office as a state senator and U.S. senator,” Metcalfe said. “I think every American would think that.

“This has not been a question I’ve been involved in trying to investigate, as far as where he was born,” he added.

Metcalfe also said his bill will obviously not take effect by Nov. 4.

John McCain’s right to run for president has also been challenged by some. The Republican presidential nominee has born in the Panama Canal Zone while his father was stationed there with the U.S. Navy.

A U.S. District Judge in California in September threw out a similar lawsuit against McCain, saying both his parents were U.S. citizens and recognizing a law passed a year after McCain’s birth retroactively making those born in the zone “natural-born citizens.”

Metcalfe is at times a controversial figure in the Pennsylvania General Assembly. During the summer he opposed a state House resolution that would have sponsored a Muslim’s group’s convention in Philadelphia.

His high-profile stances on positions like abortion, immigration and marriage have prompted his opponent in the 12th Legislative District to accuse him of not focusing enough on local issues.

Yes because Obama’s relationships with Ayers (who dedicated a book to Sirhan, Sirhan), Kahlidi, Lewis Farakhan, Rev. Wright, and Frank Marshall Davis show that he is a true American patriot.

I guess my idea of being an American means I am now not in America anymore.

Comment by Lindsy | 2008-10-31 06:49:45

I’m afraid the GOP has done too little too late. The MSM refuses to report Sirhan,Sirhan, Kahlidi or anything that would bring Obama down.

With 1 in every 5 voters already having voted and Obama leading those votes by 9%- McCain is in real trouble.

Comment by fif | 2008-10-31 08:57:53

Nice try again Lindsy, but they do not count the votes until Nov. 4th, so that 9% figure is mythical. Remember the exit polls had Kerry winning in 2004? How did that turn out?

Comment by Pat King | 2008-10-31 06:50:23

What is needed to bring back the senior vote that has been drifting toward Obama is a realistic presentation of what an Obama tax policy will do to their 401K accounts and any other investments made in their names, as in retirement fund investments.

It was recently announced that H. Wayne Huizenga is planning on selling his 45% ownership of the Miami Dolphins because of Obama’s proposed increase in capital gains tax. The capital gains tax is independent of your income level, if you make $20,000 or $200,000.

This means, in event of an Obama presidency, any stock sold after 12/31/08 will be taxed at a higher Obama rate. Therefore, anyone with any sense will sell off stock by New Year’s Eve. If you think the stock market dived in Sept-Oct, just wait for Nov-Dec. The value of 401Ks and retirement funds will go into the tank–no–to the bottom of the Marianas Trench.

Someone needs to make that point and get the old folks (of which I am one) back to voting with their heads and their self-interest.

They also need to know that Obama’s proposed health plan will put a greatly increased demand on health care and will need to be put on a triage basis. Guess who will get priority on the availability list–an 80-year-old man with severe heart problems or a 30-year-old father of four who is a computer engineer? This is not a trivial question.

Comment by Frank Wray/author | 2008-10-31 06:50:28

It is figured out. Sen. Clinton had the tape of Obama and gave it to the L.A. Times to use against Obama in the primaries. Hwever, the DNC did not want her to use it and it cost her the primary. They promised the DNC they would not use the tape, so it sits in someone’s desk. So sad. She is going to sell the country down the drain if they elect Obama. Frank here in Va.

Comment by fif | 2008-10-31 08:55:40

Figured out by who? That’s pure conjecture.

Comment by Lindsy | 2008-10-31 06:58:16

The senior vote may very well swing this election to Obama. They are always reliable voters and many of them are convinced that McCain is going to cut their social security- due to Obama’s misleading ads.

The GOP seriously dropped the ball on counter attacking this issue and ultimately that may very well cost us.

They also never seized the opportunity to discuss the 401k plan the Dems are proposing.

Lastly, there will be no whitey tape. If it was to be released it should have already been done. Most people have now made up their minds and it is too late to make an impact at this point.

Comment by fif | 2008-10-31 08:53:22

Wrong wrong wrong. Every election has shown that a large portion of voters decide in the last 48 hours.

Also, someone needs to get a message to the gop.trust people and tell them to run that young man who is an american veteran speaking up for McCaine on you-tube where he walks off and you see he fought for us and has but one leg, but yet he still believes in “COUNTRY FIRST”. 1 – The final blow, the last nail in the coffin, the double whammy to the McCain campaign will be the revelation that our financial disaster was the result of the Bush team’s, (with McCain’s support), of the ill conceived and ill executed Irag disaster. A real case can be made for this argument.

3 – You might want to go to “McCain Cheating Keating” on the Internet also. (Republicans went berserk about Clinton’s cheating and rightfully so. Why not the same for McCain)?

Thanks for your consideration of my comments.

McCain & Palin, are you kidding me. My wife & I use to be Republicans. We watched the way the Republicans ran their campaign and decided to vote with the Democrats. We need change we can believe in. Obama is the one

I just finished an administrative meeting in anticipation of an obama victory. Here is my plan:I have ten employees and really need only six. I have always tried to employ as many people as I could even if I did not need all of them.(My lowest paid staff member makes nearly 3x minimum wage plus I pay 90% of their retirement,95% of their health care insurance,100% of their contiuing education,100% of uniform costs very generous vacation, sick and personal days, generous bonuses and spending/shopping money on education tips and on and on and on) Do not forget that they pay taxes! My family and I are very good to our staff. So,if Obama wins we have decided which four to terminate. I will still be able to take good care of the six remaining tax payers but the other four will be unemployed or on welfare and not pay any taxes. Makes sense to me (tongue-in-cheek). Way to go Obama!Let us see if trickle-up works?

Do anyone remember when our president stated that he didn’t need other countries? We all need each other even though we may not agree or see eye to eye.

I AM SO GLAD THAT OBAMA HAD CLASS WHILE RUNNING. THIS LATEST AD THAT MCCAIN HAS THAT YOU PEOPLE ADVERTISED SHOWS HOW RACIST AND IGNORANT YOU REALLY ARE! I PRAY THAT MCCAIN DON’T HAVE A HEART ATTACK IF HE LOOSES AND PALIN, WELL WHAT CAN YOU SAY ABOUT HER! SHE’S A JOKE WITHIN HERSELF! OMG! ARE YOU SERIOUS!

This certainly qualifies as “Willy Horton II”. And totally irrelevant to the pressing problems we have as a nation. Wonder what a lot of Republicans, particularly Southern Republicans, have heard in their pews over the last 20 years. The new Republican party is making my grandfather turn over in his grave, with the Faustian bargain they have struck with the “ignorant and proud of it” contingent. Glad I too left the party, largely because of this.

Your administrative meeting with your employees? Voter intimidantion is a violation of the Voters Rights Act. It’s voter fraud. More likely, though, you’re a teenager with too much time on his ahnds and am just passing along this cute little story that seems to be making the rounds. Too bad Republicans view peoples’ livilhoods and jobs as jokes.

I was 100% for John McCain until saw your add tonight about Rev Wright. I don’t care about Rev Wright, I care about what the next president is going to do to get this country back on the right track. This will be the first time in my life but my wife and I will be voting for Obama tomorrow. I am sick and tired of this negative type of adds.

Tyler Hunter: You and your wife , and all of America should care about the issue with Obama’s pastor for the past twenty years. This preacher is a far left radical, and blames all the problems on “white” America. he teaches hatred, not “love thy neigbor”. You know after 20 WHOLE years of Reverand Wright screaming to “hate the white people, and things like “GD America”, that Obama had to have been “brainwashed” by a lot of these teachings. Also, on Obama’s airplane he has the sunset symbol on the side which is the symbol of the muslims. And, as far as Obama’s promise to not tax 95% of the middle class is not true. This tax plan(the 95% thing) is the Federal Income Tax only. Obama is going to tax most all of you, by a whole lot, on other things you have, or use. He didn’t tell you that part. He plans to tax the 401k’s, every dividend some may get from their stock investments, he plans to greatly increase the taxes on your electricity(his words were) “your electric bills will skyrocket on my plan’,he plans to place high additional taxes on every gallon of gasoline you purchase, he plans to put many people out of jobs by charging high penalties on coal mines for any environmental emissions any plant may produce into the air to the point that he said he would bankrupt them. Biden said they plan to have no coal mining in America.
We need coal to generate a good portion of our energy and we need to improve the production of it to make it a cleaner product using better technology, which will take a period of time to better develop it. It needs to be included in America’s new energy plans. If America had of taken the time to read Obama’s books he has written, and articles his wife has written; you would all find that you need to get on your knees and start praying for McCaine to be elected tomorrow.

I have been assulted with your PSA’s for the last four days re: Obama’s association with the rev., and would NOT vote for McCain now! I have known
many priests and ministers in my 60 years, and you can NEVER predict what
message they will deliver on any given Sunday, (or if they happen to be pedifiles). I would really like to hear the whole sermon, so I can understand
exactly why he said what he did. It is so easy to take a few words out of context
and repeat them ad nauseum. I have heard alot of reverse racial hatred spewed from the pulpits of ministers professing to be delivering God’s word. As for the RISK factor: The BIGGER risk, in my
mind would be the possibility of having gov. Palin in the White House should
anything happen to McCain! Somehow I get the feeling that whatever Obama
doesn’t know, he’s at least smart enough to admit, and will seek advice. McCain
admits he knows nothing about economics, but then acts like does.

I was going to vote for John McCain. When I say the ad you sponsered on election day I decided to vote for Obama.

Comment by Gloria | 2008-11-04 16:32:16

Your Reverend Wright ad is dispicable! You don’t see the Dems coming out with Reverend Moothie ads because we take the high road. Haven’t you figured it out yet that your negative ads aren’t working? You are the most disgusting and offensive group on the air waves!!! THE LOW ROAD!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wasting your hard-earned American dollars, people. This distasteful, fear-mongering ad has been running every 5 minutes on Shaw Cable in CANADA…I live in a major, expensive market. Thanks for the contribution to our economy, though! I thank God that your election will be over today and the world will be a better place. If I had to continue viewing this kind of vitriol(you can look that word up, Sarah dear), I’d be off to the family physician for some headache relief. Socialized, no wait and the doctor of my choice, btw!

lol…i think it’s funni how stupid people can be….yall kno these people are right about Obama. but you just choose not to think it’s true. If you vote for Obama YOU are saying its ok to kill an unborn child, that it’s ok for obama to take our guns away so that when his family come to kill us all we cant fight back, and that it’s ok for him to raise our taxes yet he promises us these big tax breaks that we ain’t gonna get unless we pay the government first.. and just he is so called “black” don’t mean that he is gonna give the rest of the “black” population a break….if thats the only reson you vote him thats called bein racist…so make the right choice cuz it’s gonna effect the next 4 years of our lives

VOTE McCAIN…..PLZZ

Comment by Robert | 2008-11-05 09:30:30

Polls have consistently show that negative attack ads don’t work and are counter productive. I am sure the every time you ran your “Rev Wright” ad it convinced thousands more voters to vote for Senator Obama.

How interesting it is that although the Democrats symbol is the donkey, your organization are the jackasses.

The Republican Party used to stand FOR something and had principles. Now you are just fear and hate mongers. If and when the Party returns to its principles you can win elections.

It seems as if the country has responded to these weak minded “too radical too risky” ads and failed policies of the last eight years. “licences for illegals” is one of the most pathetic excuses against Obama that I have ever seen. I would like to see just for kicks how this country would function without working class immigrant labor. Is this seriously the best you could come up with? Thats really weak ;)

Comment by Jerry the Capitalist | 2008-11-06 23:19:14

I just finished reading all the posts, and it is distressing to read all the negative attacks from both sides. Yes the ads were negative, and they did work to get all of the undecided voters for McCain, but it wasn’t enough. I am not a member of any political party, I am an individual private investor who is too busy to hate. If I approached investing like most people approached politics, I would have never become a successful investor.

The election is over and we have a new president. I predict that we will have a deeper recession, double digit unemployment, more companies moving overseas, and higher taxes and prices. Being a student of the world wide markets and investing, I have come to know that the markets are too huge, and beyond the control of any US President. The ball is now in the hands of the Democrats, and they can no longer blame the Republicans for whatever happens.

As an aside to that thought, it is my opinion as an outside observer that is is difficult for me to see much difference between the Republicans and Democrats. The 8 years of Bush showed an orgy of spending by both sides.

My philosophy of life is somewhere between conservitism, Libertarian, and a Constitutionalist. Since I am a Capitalist, I would wish for limited government, and personal responsibility, ahd freedom to persue my dreams. There is no party out there to represent me.

My suggestion to any political movement that wants to run the Government, is they will have to put together a grass roots movement based on a positive message, that is based on what people really want, and then put together a detailed plan that is based on real economic principles. A campaign based on that and staying on message will be heard by the American people. There will be no need for negative attacks. There is a principle in sales, that you salesmen out there will recognize, you don’t sell your product by bad mouthing your competitors, you just convince them that you have a better product.

One final thought to share. I had a college professor who conducted his annual fireside chat with my fraternity. He told us that there are 3 truths in the world. There is truth as you see it, there is truth as I see it, and there is truth as it really exists. Our job is to seek that real truth by sharing ideas and seeking it together. So please forget the name calling on this blog. Share some genuine thoughts that are thought out, and make this a positive thread of ideas.

Well that is my 2 cents worth, what about you.

I am very concerned about the silence of the Republican Party relative to the REAL cause of our current economic crisis. Where are the Conservative spokespersons who should tell the citizens and the world about the Democrats who have caused this crisis??!?!? Unless something is done SOON, history will blame the REPUBLICANS for it just as history has blamed HOOVER!!!!! C’mon Conservatives…have some guts….!!!!!!
