Obama Gets a Smack Down From Both Likely and Unlikely Sources After His Infomercial
By Ani on October 30, 2008 at 2:20 PM in Ayers, Backtrack Obama, Barack Obama, Bill Ayers, Economy, John McCain, Rashid Khalidi, Sarah Palin
Not unexpectedly, Senator John McCain delivered an excellent smack down in re Barack Obama’s thirty minute infomercial wherein the Illinois Senator advertised his favorite product – Barack Obama.
But wait, there’s more! Hell has indeed frozen over. AP writer, Calvin Woodward, posted a story last night: Obama’s prime-time ad skips over budget realities. This from Associated Press? With board members and huge Obama supporters Murdoch and Zell? This is the same news organization that constantly touts “the One” and falsely reported that Hillary had conceded the morning of the last two primaries – when voters were just going to the polls. AP disses Obama? Are pigs flying? Pigs with lipstick?
Breathe, Ani. Breathe.
Let’s take these in order. First Senator McCain uses the sense of humor he displayed in his brilliant performance at the recent Al Smith dinner:
“Now, tonight, we can all look forward to my opponent’s performance in a television infomercial. It used to be that only rain or some other act of God could delay the World Series, but I guess the network execs figured an Obama infomercial was close enough. As with other infomercials, he’s got a few things he wants to sell you: He’s offering government-run health care … an energy plan guaranteed to work without drilling … and an automatic wealth spreader that folds neatly and fits under any bed.”
Nice. You go, John. He’s got lots more to say, but we’ll get to that later on.
AP’s Mr. Woodward then dissects the Spin vs. the Facts of Obama’s multi million dollar advertisement to the American people tonight:
WASHINGTON (AP) - Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama was less than upfront in his half-hour commercial Wednesday night about the costs of his programs and the crushing budget pressures he would face in office.
No kidding….
Obama’s assertion that “I’ve offered spending cuts above and beyond” the expense of his promises is accepted only by his partisans. His vow to save money by “eliminating programs that don’t work” masks his failure throughout the campaign to specify what those programs are—beyond the withdrawal of troops from Iraq.
Here is Mr. Woodward’s analysis:
THE SPIN: “That’s why my health care plan includes improving information technology, requires coverage for preventive care and pre-existing conditions and lowers health care costs for the typical family by $2,500 a year.”
THE FACTS: His plan does not lower premiums by $2,500, or any set amount. Obama hopes that by spending $50 billion over five years on electronic medical records and by improving access to proven disease management programs, among other steps, consumers will end up saving money. He uses an optimistic analysis to suggest cost reductions in national health care spending could amount to the equivalent of $2,500 for a family of four. Many economists are skeptical those savings can be achieved, but even if they are, it’s not a certainty that every dollar would be passed on to consumers in the form of lower premiums.
THE SPIN: “I also believe every American has a right to affordable health care.”
THE FACTS: That belief should not be confused with a guarantee of health coverage for all. He makes no such promise. Obama hinted as much in the ad when he said about the problem of the uninsured: “I want to start doing something about it.” He would mandate coverage for children but not adults. His program is aimed at making insurance more affordable by offering the choice of government-subsidized coverage similar to that in a plan for federal employees and other steps, including requiring larger employers to share costs of insuring workers.
THE SPIN: “I’ve offered spending cuts above and beyond their cost.”
THE FACTS: Independent analysts say both Obama and Republican John McCain would deepen the deficit. The nonpartisan Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget estimates Obama’s policy proposals would add a net $428 billion to the deficit over four years—and that analysis accepts the savings he claims from spending cuts. The nonpartisan Tax Policy Center, whose other findings have been quoted approvingly by the Obama campaign, says: “Both John McCain and Barack Obama have proposed tax plans that would substantially increase the national debt over the next 10 years.” The analysis goes on to say: “Neither candidate’s plan would significantly increase economic growth unless offset by spending cuts or tax increases that the campaigns have not specified.”
THE SPIN: “Here’s what I’ll do. Cut taxes for every working family making less than $200,000 a year. Give businesses a tax credit for every new employee that they hire right here in the U.S. over the next two years and eliminate tax breaks for companies that ship jobs overseas. Help homeowners who are making a good faith effort to pay their mortgages, by freezing foreclosures for 90 days. And just like after 9-11, we’ll provide low-cost loans to help small businesses pay their workers and keep their doors open. ”
THE FACTS: His proposals—the tax cuts, the low-cost loans, the $15 billion a year he promises for alternative energy, and more—cost money, and the country could be facing a record $1 trillion deficit next year. Indeed, Obama recently acknowledged—although not in his commercial—that: “The next president will have to scale back his agenda and some of his proposals.”
Furthermore, Biden has confessed to us that now the number for couples receiving a tax cut are not those earning below 250K, or 200K, but 150K – wonder how much more he’ll revise that number down before January – let’s hope we don’t have to find out. And at a recent fundraiser in Pennsylvania, Obama remarked that changes to health care and education might have to be put on hold because of, uh, us not having any money.
But I guess it’s OK for Obama to spend a billion dollars on his campaign only to be able to get to a neck-and-neck race in this “no lose year for Democrats,” even with 90% of the media heretofore in the tank for him.
Fear not. John McCain takes up the baton and really goes to town reminding voters of the character of his opponent vis-a-vis this very issue:
“When you’re watching this gauzy, feel-good commercial, just remember that it was paid for with broken promises. Senator Obama signed a piece of paper committing to public financing of his campaign. Twice he looked the American people in the eye and said he would sit down with me before he abandoned public financing. He didn’t mean a word of it. When it was in his interest to break his promise, he tossed it aside like it didn’t mean a thing. He is the first candidate since Watergate to abandon the public financing system, and his campaign is now being flooded with hundreds of millions of dollars in undisclosed and questionable donations. His campaign has directly profited from his broken promise and because of that, the American people have to ask: what does the broken promise behind tonight’s infomercial say about the value of his other commitments?”
It says plenty, Senator McCain. Wow. Now that’s what I call the straight-talk express.
“That is what concerns small business owners and people all over this country. Senator Obama’s word doesn’t appear to mean that much. When he tells America tonight that’s he’s going to cut taxes for the middle class, people wonder if he’ll keep his word because his record is supporting higher taxes on working families. He voted 94 times for tax increases or against tax cuts. When he tells America tonight he’s going to cut spending, people wonder if he’ll keep his word because his record is one of supporting higher spending.”
“Whether it’s Joe the Plumber in Ohio, or Andrew the Plumber and Sandra the sign-maker here in Florida, we can’t even afford the tax hikes Senator Obama admits to. His tax increases are exactly the wrong approach in an economic slowdown.”
It certainly looks like Senator Obama’s chickens are finally coming home to roost. Yesterday, a former employee of an ACORN affiliate testified in a Pennsylvania court of law as to ACORN soliciting donations for its organization by using Obama campaign donor lists:
McCain campaign manager, Rick Davis, made this statement:
“Today’s testimony by a former employee of an ACORN affiliate proves Barack Obama is guilty of lying to the American people about his relationship with ACORN. At the last presidential debate, in front of sixty million people, Barack Obama said his campaign was not involved’ with ACORN. We now know that Barack Obama’s campaign was working hand-in-glove with an organization reportedly under investigation by the F.B.I. and in more than a dozen states. In addition to funneling $832,000 to ACORN for get-out-the- vote efforts, the Obama campaign and ACORN have been sharing donor lists, encouraging maxed-out Obama donors to contribute to this unethical organization.”
Drip. Drip. Drip.
And as if that weren’t enough, on FOX news tonight, McCain Slams LA Times for Double Standard in Withholding Obama-Khalidi Tape:
John McCain slammed The Los Angeles Times Wednesday for refusing to release a videotape that the newspaper’s editors say shows Barack Obama praising a Chicago professor [Rashid Khalidi] who served as a spokesman for the Palestine Liberation Organization when it was a U.S.-designated terror group.
John McCain says he’s sure The Los Angeles Times would be quick to produce a tape that purported to show him or his running mate at a neo-Nazi event, so he can’t understand why it won’t show Barack Obama in the company of a former PLO mouthpiece.
“Apparently this is a tape with a dinner that Mr. Ayers … was at, and also … one of the leading spokespersons for the PLO. Now, why that should not be made public is beyond me,” McCain told La Kalle radio.
“I guarantee you, if there was a tape with me and Sarah Palin and some neo-Nazi or one of those, you think that that tape wouldn’t be made public? Of course, Americans need to know, particularly about Ayers, and also about the PLO. So hopefully there will be enough pressure on the L.A. Times that it’ll come out, but its really unfortunate that we have to go through this,” McCain continued.
Governor Palin, too, had come choice words for the LA Times, certainly in Obama’s back pocket from the beginning:
“If there’s a Pulitzer Prize category for excelling in cow-towing, then the LA Times, you’re winning,” she said.
Palin said she wants to know how Obama responded to derogatory comments said about Israel and America’s support for its ally during the party.
“Israel was described there as the perpetrator of terrorism instead of the victim. What we don’t know …is how Barack Obama responded to these slurs on a country that he now professes to support, and the reason is the newspaper that has the tape, The Los Angeles Times, refuses to release it,” she said. “It must be nice for a candidate to have major news organizations looking after his best interests like that.”
All in all today, point McCain/Palin.
But truly, the best review of tonight’s informercial came courtesy of a poster on NoQ. Thanks much, CJ. This made my night. Be sure to pass this one around:
“Caught the show, too, with a house full of my son’s friends, late twenties, early thirties. These guys got up and did the hopey dopey. Pretty funny.
You put your paycheck in, you take your paycheck out, you put your paycheck in and you shake it all about. You do the hopey dopey and you pay the other guy, that’s what’s all about.
You put your service hours in, you take your service hours out, you put your service hours in and you shake em all about. You do the hopey dopey and you work yourself to the ground, that’s what it’s all about.
That’s a sample, it went on and on. I guess there are no BO supporters in this house here in Calif.”
Nice to know some people have not taken leave of their senses. I’ll gratefully take them wherever I can find them.
To everyone who stood up and spoke the truth today, thank you.

WOW, and this came from the AP, SHOCKING. Has hell frozen over yet? Maybe they sense an Obama loss and they are preparing for it
For some reason HillBuzz is currently #1 in Google Trends (shows which Google search terms have had the sharpest spike in usage today)
http://www.google.com/trends/hottrends
#1 maybe because the bad ship Otitanic is sinking?
It was a Rush-o-lanche. He read a comment from the blog on his show today. Nice work Rush!
I think it’s the ‘third punch’ article quoting the LA Times from last year. That’s a fantastic article. Otherwise I’ve found nothing there at all save for a gay site that’s now supporting Ogayo and thinks Hillbuzz be wrong.
No, its just a hit job from the AP - and totally distorted at that. McCain should be so lucky to have raised the $ Obama did. Who the hell cares if he has $ - its from people who CHOSE to give to his campaign. No one is taking any money from anyone that is not given voluntarily. That’s far more fair than public financing.
Give me a break…you seriously think that Obama ‘breaking his promise’ to not take public financing was NOT the right move??? He knew he would be able to raise more money and thus have a better advertising budget and get closer to winning the election - any fool knows that. He would have been STUPID to take the public financing. NO ONE, not even Bill or Hillary, could have raised that much money - McCain is just soooooooo jealous as he knows he is a total flop and going down down down.
Obama ran an excellent campaign, raised tons of money and did not falter at the home stretch.
McCain, bad, bad, bad. Did not do anything right.
Result is a win for Obama.
If spending close to, literally, a billion dollars and having 90% favorable media coverage that results in a neck and neck race still makes you enthusiastic about Barack Obama — then I don’t know what else anyone can say to you.
That is his solution — bully and throw big money at it — is that how he will govern? Does he think the U.S. Treasury has a printing press in the basement?
In this ‘no lose year for Democrats,’ McCain is dead even with Obama — no matter what the overcooked polls try to say.
And since when does someone’s word not mean anything — Obama’s doesn’t mean anything — every single thing he proises he has reneged on — FISA, to name a big one.
Does the fact that he is not a man of his word not matter to you either. What or who else would he sell down the river without a backward glance if he is elected.
He is not miraculously going to become someone different - this is him — this is his level, the level of his character, for better or worse. Look at his record and his actions this year, last year and over the last 20, in state senate, the U.S. Senate and with all of his associations — this is it.
It isn’t going to improve.
Sharon,
You have no integrity. No wonder your an Obot.
It is not about whether it was the smart strategic thing to do it has to do with honesty, integrity, and your word. He lied. (and I am not even addressing all the millions upon millions of illegal contributions that he has received) But you don’t care and because of idiots out there like you we keep getting dishonest politicians. If we held them accountable for the things they say we wouldnt have the political mess we have. You realize now, every politician from here on out is going to do what “that one” has done and our political system will be flooded with literally billions of dollars that are untraced and illegal. The Dems used to be on the side of financial accountability and financial reform in the political system and Barry just did a big FU to that and now everyone is going to be playing this game.
It’s supposed to be about principle, integrity, honesty, service and character but jackasses like you are the reason we have such a corrupt political system. And I cant believe the stupid criticism you have of the McCain campaign, the (Obot skewed) polls show the race tight after he’s been out spent 4 to one. You are a mindless, spineless, dishonest fool!
Thank you!
Dummies like “sharon” astound me. They cheer on rotten, dishonest, crooked behavior in politicians like Obama. When that crooked behavior becomes widespread, then they’ll have the damned nerve to complain about that same corruption in our government later on.
You’re a fool.
Outspending your opponent 2:1 does not guarantee a victory in an election.
If a candidate is a lousy one (Obama), then it doesn’t matter how much money he/she spends to try to win. They will LOSE.
Obama lied, stole, outspent and cheated left, right and sideways. And he’s STILL about to lose!
I’m shocked. The media is waking up?? What’s the world coming to?
A huge ass Starbucks truck rolled on by and they are smelling the inevitability coffee of a huge Mac win! After the election we need to NOT let the MSM and DNC get away with what they have done. SERIOUS reform is needed! I want my party back! I’m at heart a Democrat, but to the ideals of the party, not what the hijackers have turned it into.
I wonder if we could file a class action lawsuit against them.
Perhaps legally yes, but we certainly can boycott the MSM and demand we not have to pay for “news” if we pay for television via cable or satellite. The DNC will self-destruct. Hillary will be begged to bring the party back together and I will join her in helping to do so.
No, just covering their asses.
Are they waking up, or just hedging their bets? After all, they can now say “We criticized Obama’s infomercial less than a week before the election, even if we were in the tank for him for the preceding two years.”. Better late than never, I guess.
I like this kind of stuff. If we keep telling people this, I know 100% we will win.
Our problem is we get into the nonsense stuffs which in my beleive doesn’t work. We saw it.
Let us spread this to all the people we know. People are looking some facts about the issue. If we sell that we will win easily 100%
Rush said basically the same thing today.

OT: who sent you Sen. Obama? I just saw this up on Drudge
DUBAI (Reuters) - An al Qaeda leader has called for President George W. Bush and the Republicans to be “humiliated,” without endorsing any party in the upcoming U.S. presidential election, according to a video posted on the Internet.
“O God, humiliate Bush and his party, O Lord of the Worlds, degrade and defy him,” Abu Yahya al-Libi said at the end of sermon marking the Muslim feast of Eid al-Fitr, in a video posted on the Internet.

Yeah that “helps.” If they wanted to really help Obarfomercial they would keep their traps shut and not stick their proboscises into our election!
Great post Ani, and an important one as well. People all get into his “words” and finally people are looking into them a little more closely. Is it better late than never?
I don’t know anyone who watched that blowhard OHitler blow smoke up his own butt for 30 minutes. But I predicted a backfire and I think it was. The viewership was less than 1/2 of the 2nd debate. Not good. And for all that money OHitler is spending…wow…he JUST CAN’T CLOSE THE DEAL.
Do you have a link to the viewship figures? I’d be interested in that.
I think it was something like 21.7% of households watched “The One” hank everyone’s chain last night. I was over at NewHampster’s place at the live chat and watching O’Reilly myself.

The article, (nausea-inducingly) titled “High Marks For Obama Infomercial”, starts this way:
A total of 26.42 million Americans tuned in to Barack Obama’s political infomercial on CBS, NBC and ABC [sic] Monday [sic]. NBC drew the most viewers, 9.85 million, followed by CBS, with 8.65 million. Fox, which aired the political ad before its telecast of the World Series, averaged 7.92 million viewers. Figures were not immediately available for Spanish-language Univision and the cable networks which carried it. ABC was the only broadcast network that did not air the program, going with its regular program, Pushing Daisies, but the drama drew only 6.64 million viewers, about what it has averaged the rest of the season.
I rather like this comment:
But Jessica Heslam commented in the Boston Herald: “The Democratic contender had better be elected president, because he wouldn’t make a great late-night infomercial pitchman.”
Additionally, http://tvbythenumbers.com/category/ratings/nielsen-overnight-tv-show-ratings
offers these lead paragraphs:
Fox led the night, in both total viewers and 18-49 year olds averaging 15.49 million and a 5.0 among 18-49 year olds between 8pm to 10:33PM (Fox’s numbers above have been time zone adjusted to account for World Series viewing) . The 9:30p-10p half hour (6:30p-7p on the West Coast) had the most viewing, averaging 22.6 million. Congrats again to the Philadelphia Phillies…
The Barack Obama paid political message rated very well, scoring 26.4 million across NBC, CBS and Fox, with an impressive combined 18-49 demographic rating/share of 8.1/22. Flying solo among the broadcast networks versus Obama, Pushing Daisies was relatively pummeled, but it did actually increase average viewers by nearly a million versus last week’s airing when it only drew 5.67 million. Last night it averaged 6.64 million. (emphasis mine)
When you click the “full story” link, the ratings are broken down by half-hour increments and THAT’s where the real fun is found.
For Fox, Barry’s half-hour pulled in 7.92 million viewers; the World Series pulled in a total 8:30pm-10pm ET average viewership of 16.68 million (more than double the Barry O Show).
For NBC (which had the highest numbers for the Barry O Show), the first half-hour pulled in 9.85 million; it dropped to an average viewership of 8.27 million for the hour and a half run of “Deal or No Deal” (dropping to a meager 4.9 million for “Lipstick Jungle” in the final hour of prime-time).
For CBS, the Barry O Show pulled in 8.65 million viewers; the following half-hour saw a drop of just over 1 million viewers for “The New Adventures of Old Christine” (with just 7.64 million). CBS rebounded for the last two hours with “Criminal Minds” (13.8 million) and “CSI:NY” (13.63 million).
Taking the whole night’s ratings, the shows rank (program; network; rating/share; viewership in millions)
1–World Series, Game 5 (Fox)(5.4/14)(16.68)
2–CSI:NY (CBS)(3.4/9)(13.63)
3–Criminal Minds (CBS)(3.4/8)(13.8)
4–Obama Political Ad (NBC)(3.0/8)(9.85)
5–Obama Political Ad (Fox)(2.8/8)(7.92)
McCain HQ in Crystal City VA was standing room only last night. More people than we have ever had in there.
NBC 4 from DC stopped by and a Station from Spain was there as well.
“Automatic wealth spreader that folds neatly and fits under any bed”. LOL. I didn’t realize until I began supporting McCain a hile back (and I’m one of the 30 year plus Democrats) what a great, dry sense of humor he has.
And the hopey-dopey dance was hilarious too. Those young people are clever. Thanks; I needed some laughs.
The hopey dopey. That should be the new youtube video.
Yes, CJ if you’re here, please get your son and his friends to make a video for youtube.
It would be a sensation!
Ani, you are equally as hialrious as Mac. Pigs with lipstick, ROFL. TY
As for the AP, better, but not scathing. Can anyone ever hold Obama to the facts without saying McCain, too McCain, too?
Great stuff Ani–thank you! And the “Hopey Dopey” dance is brilliant.
The MSM is doing the HD dance too, as are the pollsters. They’re doing the Hopey Dopey Poll dance:
You take a poll at 12,
You take a poll at 1,
You take the numbers that you want,
and you shake em all about.
In the hopes that on Election Day
McCainers won’t come out,
That’s what it’s all about.
LOLOLOL!!!! That’s cute!!!
c’mon sing it with me!
You put your paycheck in, you take your paycheck out, you put your paycheck in and you shake it all about. You do the hopey dopey and you pay the other guy, that’s what’s all about. Hey!
Classic!!
I can see Chris Matthews doing that as a duet with Keith the Ogerman.
OT - I found this post over at RCP and it speaks to something that really unnerves me about Obenokinobee
Obama’s Civilian Security Force - The Sturm Obamung?
I really am getting creeped out by this guy. And beyond the whole “kids singing songs about how hes going to “change it…and re-arrange it…” there’s now this whole thing about a national civilian security force.
In Munich in late 1920, Hitler created the Ordnertruppen, a body of ex-soldiers and beer hall brawlers in order to protect gatherings of the Nazi party from disruptions from Social Democrats and Communists.
In the year 2070 are we going to read history books about the Sturm Obamung “protecting Democrat Party gatherings from disruption by the Conservatives and Christians”?
I encourage all of you who read this to pick up a history book, or even a wiki, and read up on the civilian security force that existed in 1920-30’s Germany, the Sturm Abteilung.
One of my favorite lines from the wiki page for the SA -
After Hitler took power in 1933, the SA became increasingly eager for power and saw themselves as the replacement for the German army. This angered the regular army (Reichswehr) who already resented the Nazi party. It also led to tension with other leaders within the party who saw Röhm’s increasingly powerful SA as a threat to their own personal ambitions. Originally an adjunct to the SA, the Schutzstaffel (SS) was placed under the direct control of Heinrich Himmler in part to restrict the power of the SA and their leaders.
Even if you think I am a bit alarmist about a Sturm Obamung, ask youself if you want an armed and empowered group of individuals of the type that Obama draws to him running around your city, righting “wrongs”. What would their mandate be? Would they take oaths to protect and defend the Constitution, or the President himself? Who would make up this force, a bunch of “Recreate 68″ types? Because thats just the type that ended up manning the SA, folks. Rowdys that basically wanted to create chaos for its own sake.
Each state already has a civilian defense force, its called the National Guard. Each city already has a police department. Ask yourself what is the Sturm Obamungs purpose?

Put ‘em in uniforms so there aren’t any mistakes…
Great post, thank you.
O? No!
What does it matter if he stands in front of organizations supporting Israel or promises the Jewish communities that he loves them and Jerusalem?
It’s what he says about you when your back is turned that counts. He has PLO sympathies and is being promoted by our enemies. Enough already. Any Jew voting for Obama might as well be voting for the Third Reich. What can you possibly justify about his hidden agenda that would serve your interests?
Nearly all the people I work with are Jewish and they LOVE Obama. Love. Will not listen to a word against him.
I heard Dick Morris this morning saying something to the effect that Jewish people have a knack for consistently choosing to take the action that is against their own interests.
Good Grief.
Hey typwriterstreaming, just read this quote to them from Obama’s book The Audacity of Hope:
*************************************************
“I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds of war shift in an ugly direction..”
*************************************************
You might get their attention with that.
NCgirl: Thank you. No kidding. I have shown that to them. They put their fingers in their ears literally and shake their heads.
It’s astonishing. These are my former Democratic job friends. I’ve lost all respect for them. It’s sad, but I can’t help it.
Same here–it’s so pathetic and misguided. I agree with Dick Morris on that. The Jews in America have fallen for the liberal, empty, secular democrat party ideology. It’s the Republicans who are the most ardent supporters of Israel.
Jewish people vote similarly to black people, in a herd mentality-almost always democratic and against their own interests for sure.
People need to be indivudualists and break from the same old herd —unfortunately it will not happen in this election.
Pam Gellar of Atlas Shrugs blog calls them Jewicidals.
A little boy grows up as an Indonesian Muslim…as an adult makes gaffes refering to “57 states” (there are 57 states of Islam) and “my Muslim religion”…doesn’t leave me with any doubt of who he really is. He had to attend Jeremiah Wright’s church for 20 years to learn how to be a black man in America because he really didn’t grown up as one. He has no loyalty to the American tradition and is not suited to be our president.
Hell didn’t freeze over.
What we are witnessing here is something I predicted weeks ago. The sight of rats leaving the sinking ship.
Its not good enough. I want investigations, accountability, explanations and resignations.
I want the media vetted.
I agree. The media should be investigated. How did this happen.
they are getting vetted. the media — the nytimes to the LATimes, MSNBC, CBS etc — are losing readership and viewers and laying off reporters, editors and more.
Couldn’t agree with you more!
I want hearings in House and Senate. Media and answering questions about their obvious bias. Poll taking companies about their methodologies during the Democratic primaries. Laws of disclosure for media personalities within campaigns they cover. Return of the fairness doctrine and regulation of media when its MSM when its apparent that they are biased and are out and out lying and omitting truth.
In short, no repeat of what happened when a campaign has hundreds of millions of dollars and the MSM genuflects and omits the vetting process in order to get said hundreds of millions for their coffers.
sorry: “spouses of media personalities.”
I truly think that aside from Obama’s atrocious activities on the campaign trail being the number one problem, the number two problem is the so-called free press’s willful negligence in their non-vetting of Obama and their bias towards Hillary and McCain/Palin ticket.
Here Here!!! Yes, hearings and not with Barney Frankfutter, Chris Dud, Chuck the Schmuck, etc.
Statistics is perhaps one of the best classes I took in college (that and typing) — because at least now I can explain to people what oversampling is and how the pollsters can be so damned wrong.
Look how often the polls were just plain wrong during the Primaries — Hillary had one stunning victory after another over O-zero.
The damned fools in the media were demanding that she give it up before the New Hampshire vote and she won! She won California — and the media was predicting a knock out blow for O-zero. As the primary wore on — O-zero actually did worse.
Many of the pollsters were oversampling various voting blocks — or giving greater weight to various groups. There are lots of reasons and I do believe that the bias of the pollsters should be examined. There is a high probability that organization paying for the poll also helps to bias the poll.
We should be able to trust that the voting and the vote counting is down in a fair, transparent and legal manner. Otherwise no one really “wins”.
Every time I get a letter or call I get from my state Democratic party people, I explain to them that I am giving them a few months after the election to start actions to make sure my state is no longer a caucus state. I also make clear that I will not support any Democrat who doesn’t agree with this point and who does not work immediately to strengthen the rules regarding primary voting (I’m in a state where only registered party members can vote in primaries or caucuses) and general election voting and oversight.
I say, I did not vote for Obama because of the fraud and I will not vote again for a Democrat who doesn’t take a stance on this issue.
About the “Fairness Doctrine”…We don’t want it! It only affects Talk Radio, that’s it. It will not affect television news media or print media…this is why the Dems Pelosi,Reid et al want the “fairness doctrine” and radio talk hosts do not! If we lose radio talk shows, then only the internet will be able to report the stuff MSM won’t, and if Obama is in power with a filibuster proof congress even our internet access may be in jeopardy.
Obama reminds me of the football player who spiked the ball before he crossed the goal line!!!
Great analogy!!
Obama IS the doofus of the Universe.
Can someone whip that up for YouTube?
We need humor here, people.
DeSean Jackson in a game against Dallas.
I know it well because Jackson is an Eagle.
There are a few other doofus play like this.
Leon Lett’s Showboating….
Fortunately for Dallas, they already held a massive lead on Buffalo late in Super Bowl XXVII when DL Leon Lett scooped up a fumble and rumbled for the endzone. As he crossed the 5 yard line, Lett assumed that he was in the clear and he infamously held out the football to strut into the endzone. The only problem was that Bills WR Don Beebe, a player with more heart than Lett would ever have, raced him down from behind and knocked the ball loose, causing a touchback. Even though it had absolutely zero impact on the game, the moment still lives forever in Super Bowl lore.
Dave Smith’s Spike: Steelers receiver spiked the ball before he reached the endzone during a Monday Night Football game in the early 1970’s. Oops.
I don’t know how to link this to the site.
This might explain a lot about the obots.

by the way, isn’t this exactly what senator stevens was just convicted of doing — lying on his senate reporting forms and taking gifts from benefactors?
Formal Ethics Complaint Filed On Obama
Thursday, October 30, 2008 1:38 PM
WASHINGTON, D.C. — The American Conservative Union filed a formal complaint with the United States Senate Ethics Committee Thursday stating that Senator Barack Obama’s purchase of property with convicted felon Tony Rezko’s wife violated the U.S. Senate’s gift ban.
The Complaint notes that in June 2005, just months after Barack Obama took office as a United States Senator, he and the Rezkos acquired pieces of land next to each other on the same day from a single seller. ACU documentation notes that now-convicted felon Tony Rezko toured the Greenwood mansion property and adjacent side yard with Obama before Rezko’s wife purchased the attached property on the same day Obama bought the Greenwood mansion.
The Obamas used the side yard as if it were theirs and eventually returned the Rezko’s favor by buying back a strip of the side yard for a highly inflated price.
In the letter to the Ethics Committee, ACU Chairman David Keene noted, “sufficient information exists to demonstrate that Senator Obama solicited, received, and accepted a gift greater than $50 from Mr. and Mrs. Rezko, and Senator Obama failed to disclose this gift.”
The letter points out that gifts received by Senators which are valued at $250 or more are required to be disclosed on the Senator’s personal financial disclosure report, which Senator Obama failed to do. It also notes that knowingly and willingly falsifying or concealing this information may result in a fine of up to $11,000 and make the Senator subject to criminal prosecution.
This should be made into its own post on the front page.
Agreed!
Where is the link please. thank you for this important post!
Where is the link please. thank you for this important post!
are there any journalists in the audience that would speak to whether newspapers ever agree to withold primary information such as videotapes. it’s one thing to protect the identity of the source but what’s the reason for witholding the info itself.
if there is something on the video that identifies the source, couldn’t that be blacked out?
and even assuming that they made a promise not to release the video why not release at least a transcript and audio of the video?
because most likely after the original lat story, the obama campaign BOUGHT the tape and the transcript for a ton of money. ergo, there is no tape OR transcript to release - at least from the author. just a theory.
“Obama is a Fraud” is right…
So he spends all this money and isn’t way ahead. What does that say about his domestic and economic spending policies he talks about.
Throwing money at something doesn’t solve anything.
I personally think that the public knows both parties are very culpable.
Pelosi’s speech didn’t persuade a soul.
So…..it’s between the devil you know and the devil you don’t know.
And isn’t it also true, as reported on Hannity’s America that when the Obama’s purchased the ten feet strip of property on the Rezko’s lot it them made that adjoining lot too small for anything to ever be built on it.
I predict that if Obama wins the election that this piece will be e at some point bpurchased by someone (the taxpayers?) for purposes of making it a complex for the secret service, lining the Obama’s pocket even more.
I hope that this lawsuit continues, no matter what happens. Barry insists that if he loses he will go forward in 2012 again. The audacity of the guy is too unbelievable.
Did Barry say “if I lose”? I thought Michelle said that this is our one chance to “get Obama.”
And isn’t it also true, as reported on Hannity’s America that when the Obama’s purchased the ten feet strip of property on the Rezko’s lot it them made that adjoining lot too small for anything to ever be built on it.
Yes, and this is not common practice, especially in the affluent/ historical area where the property is located.
Furthermore,as reported on NQ, there was illegal appraisal of the property, testified to by an employee at the bank holding the mortgage, to further the payback to Rezko.
John has accomlished the impossible. A Republican, who pulls within 3 points, in a year when the economy collapses.
That just says it all about the Democratic candidate foisted upon us.
That just says it all.
I hope Donna Brazile is sleepless at night over this. A cakewalk right Donna?
TROLL alert
sorry, the reference is intended to refer to AnninCA, one of the Obama campaign’s designated, paid NoQ trolls.

“Obama is a Fraud” is right…
And for all that money OHitler is spending…wow…he JUST CAN’T CLOSE THE DEAL.
So he spends all this money and isn’t way ahead. What does that say about his domestic and economic spending policies he talks about.
Throwing money at something doesn’t solve anything.
========================================
His spending should scare the hell out of every single voter out there. He stood on that 100 Million Dollar Toga Party movie set and preached about POVERTY and the ECONOMY. He took 200 of his FRIENDS on the AMERICA SUCKS WORLD TOUR to the tune of 60 Million Dollars. THAT, my friends, was on the TAXPAYERS. Do I get a frigging REFUND when the idiot loses? He’s Barky McBlingy-Spendy and he’s got plans for OUR money. Over my dead body he gets his hands on MY paycheck.
And he held a Hollywood $28,500/plate party during the economic crisis.
McCain goes to Washington to do his JOB- gets slammed in the press.
Obama goes to CA to rake in millions- gets praised in press AND polls.
He really is an oink
His profligate spending habits are indeed frightening, but they typify the mindset and habist of the world’s despots. Look at nearly all of them, and one of the common threads is that they all hoard and spend lavishly the money of OTHER PEOPLE, especially the money of those under their rule. This has always been the way of history, but Obama is the first in our nation’s history. He truly is a frightening figure.
At lunch today, my octogenarian mother was nearly beside herself with anger about what this man would do if he were elected. She sees him attempting to reverse all that the WW II generation did to make this country great. She is of modest means, but since my father passed away, she managed to put together a nest egg sufficient to buy a home a few years ago based on playing of the stock market by way of small, Charles Schwab investments. Now she is insulted by the fact that Obama would heavily tax her stock sales in his capital gains scheme.
Make sure you vote people! I am trying to get on board with canvassing in a neighboring battleground state this coming weekend…
“Do I get a frigging refund when the idiot loses?”
maybe a little CHANGE.
well, you can HOPE!

Hillary Clinton Supporters And Women For McCain Leadership React To Barack Obama’s Attack Ad “His Choice”
ARLINGTON, VA — McCain-Palin 2008 today released the following statements from former Hillary Clinton supporters and Women for McCain leadership in reaction to Barack Obama’s sexist attack ad “His Choice”:
VIRGINIA
Judy Black, National Co-Chair, Women for McCain: “Enough is enough! Senator Obama has stooped to a new low in his constant attacks on Governor Palin with his new ad titled, ‘His Choice.’ Barack Obama’s choice has been to attack, demean and ridicule women, first Sen. Clinton and now Gov. Palin. American women do not need any more of Obama’s sexist choices or attacks. John McCain made the choice to put a strong leader with a proven record forward as his running mate. As a woman, I am outraged by the over-the-top treatment of Gov. Palin and I urge all women to reject the double standard put forward by a man who was just a state senator in Illinois three years ago by voting McCain-Palin this Tuesday.”
Patty Denton, Washington County Republican Chairwoman: “We, as a country, should be past the days in which women were treated as inferior. Women are the backbone of this country. It’s disappointing for Senator Obama, who has proclaimed change’ as his mantra, to disregard the monumental progress women have made in this country. Governor Palin is an exceptional leader and has fought on the side of all Americans, regardless of race or gender. These types of ads show that the Obama campaign is willing to do anything to score a few political cheap shots at the expense of women. On November 4th, women will go to the polls and demand respect for themselves and their daughters from the type of negative attacks perpetrated by Senator Obama.”
MISSOURI
Representative Jo Ann Emerson: “With more executive experience than Barack Obama and Joe Biden combined, Governor Sarah Palin holds her own on the national scene and embodies the values that Americans want in those who will lead our country. This ad is just one more example of the constant attacks from the Obama-Biden campaign. With each attack, they attempt to dismiss the intelligent, qualified, and experienced woman who will soon become our next Vice-President of the United States.”
Sharon Barnes, Missouri State Chair Women for McCain: “These attacks on Governor Sarah Palin show the desperation of the Democratic Party to try to stem the overwhelming support for the maverick Republican team of John McCain and Governor Sarah Palin - a team dedicated to bringing about the right kind of change for the people of this country. The voters of this great nation will not be fooled. Gov. Palin is a proven leader and serious reformer with experience in economics, defense and foreign policy that the Democratic candidate for president can only wish he had.”
CALIFORNIA
Shelly Mandell, President of Los Angeles chapter of the National Organization for Women: “I am outraged by the new ad put out by Barack Obama. It is sexist and demeaning to women. These tactics started with Hillary Clinton and continue, growing even more disgusting with Gov. Palin. I was a Hillstar for Hillary and an avid supporter. Trashing two women clearly in a sexist manner in one election is an outrage and must be identified and stopped. There must be consequences. Let female Obama supporters take a good look at this and still believe their candidate supports women’s rights and women’s dignity.”
Prameela Bartholomeusz, DNC Platform Committee Member: “I am once again stunned at the personal and sexist attacks by the Obama campaign against Gov. Palin. This latest ad is sexist and offensive. The Gov. of Alaska has been managing and balancing a budget of $10 billion; I think she knows a bit about economics. Sen. Obama never spoke up against sexism during the primary season, and is not speaking out against misogyny during this phase of the election season — he is contributing to it. I have no confidence that Sen. Obama will fight for women’s issues if elected. This sets women back decades.”
PENNSYLVANIA
Christine J. Toretti, PA Women For McCain Co-Chair, PA National Committeewoman: “Vice presidential running mate, Sarah Palin, is an experienced public servant. As governor of Alaska and as mayor of Wasilla she proved to be an effective leader and businesswoman. Senator Obama’s baseless attack on Governor Palin is preposterous. God forbid a leader is not only competent, but beautiful and wears a skirt!”
Bernie Comfort, Pennsylvania Women for McCain State Chair: “Senator Obama’s ad simply mocks Governor Palin. The real truth is Gov. Palin has experience dealing with the economy as an executive running the state of Alaska and as a business owner. She is the experienced leader we need to lead this country with John McCain.”
Stephanie Bressler, Ph.D, Hillary Clinton supporter, University of Scranton women and politics professor: “It’s a sexist example of reducing a woman to an object - a wink - and denying her a voice. Her lips are actually moving, but she’s not allowed to be heard.”
OHIO
Barbara Rosier-Tryon, Member of the Warren Republican Women’s Club: “This is yet another sexist cheap shot on Gov. Palin’s image from the Obama-Biden campaign. Sarah Palin’s record of reform and experience as governor of Alaska and commander of the state’s National Guard is more distinguished than Barack Obama’s one and only term in the U.S. Senate.”
NORTH CAROLINA
Martha Jenkins, North Carolina Women for McCain State Chairman: “Barack Obama chose Joe Biden to make up for his own lack of foreign policy expertise. He has absolutely no reason to criticize McCain’s pick of Palin. Gov. Palin is infinitely more qualified than Barack Obama. In running this ad, Obama is acknowledging that Gov. Palin is an effective and a positive part of John McCain’s candidacy; otherwise, why focus on her at all? Barack Obama is using this ad to divert attention from the fact that the American public is realizing that Obama is just as radical as his associates, and that he lacks the experience and judgment to be President of the United States.”
FLORIDA
Albert Chang, Regional Director of Citizens for McCain, a group that includes Democrats and Independents: “We look forward to winning Tampa and the surrounding counties for McCain-Palin. This ad is a distracting personal attack on an experienced executive and the voters of Florida will see through it. This campaign will remain focused on issues impacting the everyday lives of Floridians and Americans.”
Mary Calderon, Tampa, former Senator Clinton supporter: “I’m disappointed that Senator Obama has resorted to personal attacks at this point in the campaign. Would any male candidate for vice president of the United States be afforded similar treatment by the Obama campaign? I would say not.”
INDIANA
Judy Singleton, Indiana Women for McCain Co-Chair: “Obama seems to have a problem with strong, smart women. Ask Hillary. Running an ad like this is an affront to talented women everywhere. To imply that Gov. Palin doesn’t understand economics because she’s pretty and winks is ridiculous. As a governor, she’s proved she understands the economy better than Barack Obama, who hasn’t completed his first term in the Senate, does. All one has to do is look at her record of leadership on economic development and then look at his.”
NEW YORK
Amy Siskind, Ambassador for Hillary: “When Senator Hillary Clinton was demeaned and degraded during the Presidential Primary, many of us of, myself included, vowed ‘never again’. The treatment of Governor Palin by both the main stream media, and now the Obama Campaign, shows that the misogyny fest is alive and well in our country. There has been a complete and utter smear job of our fellow citizen, Sarah Palin, who is only trying to serve her country.”
That is AWESOME!
It’s about time other well-positioned women started speaking out.
The silence has been appalling.
I’m heartened to see these comments calling Obama out on his slimy and demeaning attack on Sarah Palin. On two different Fox shows today, two women spoke out about the sexism by the Obama team starting with Hillary and continuing in the demeaning of Palin. I wish I could recall the names, but the first was voting for McCain (and had been very active for Hillary) while the other appeared on Cavuto’s show and was described as an undecided. She was very eloquent, saying that she spent 20 years on Wall Street and she knew well what a strong leader looked like. By the end of the show, Cavuto was saying, “well, I think we know how you are voting” as she nodded her head.
Jeez, lets pay them to run that ad a little longer!
Or more like in a year when “the economy was collapsed” for the benefit of the democratic candidate. Nothing right now makes me believe anything other than the financial crisis was a manufactured crisis. If Obama were to win… crisis would be the “norm” I am afraid. Did not Kennedy himself invent the “crisis room”? So much can be done by just a few, with little oversight …even in a democracy in the name of “crisis”. Witness the bailout as example number one.
Ha! That’s great. Thanks.
this is what joe biden was talking about,”a GENERATED INTERNATIONAL CRISIS”
Actually, I think so. I think Biden has a problem with talking too much and has “telegraphed” the game plan. I think they have the mind to put this country into “crisis mode” and shove whatever down our collective throats in the name of crisis management. Ever know someone who lived their life in “crisis mode”? I can think of a couple offhand. When you are dealing with perpetual crises… rational debate will fall by the wayside. Almost anything can be justified. Honestly, I think that is (at least was) the plan.
Well, it could also be the fact that Obama is shunning ABC and other news outlets. He is actively going against the media. Perhaps SOME in the media know what is in store for all of them if Obama wins.
Reading the BBC, they seem to think according to their bloggers that Obama’s National TV series debut turned off quite a few.

Wow, I love you all folks in No Quarter!!! Bring down this phony Barry Hussein Obama who did not even have guts to show his birth certificate!!! If Party leaders and DNC knew Obama’s ineligibility of running, they all committed unconstitutional crime. The misled Obama’s followers supproting him without knowing the truth!

McCain lead in Florida Early Voting
Writing is on the wall. Speaking of walls I’d love to be a fly on the wall of the Oborg’s bedroom. Michelle must be furious at the prospect of not only losing the election but for losing the protection the presidency would bring. Oh were is my doggie RICO? Where has he gone? Sorry, his name is really “Fitzy.”
Writing on Obama’s walls:
“I must not smoke cigarettes”
“I must not smoke cigarettes”
“I must not smoke cigarettes”
“I must not smoke cigarettes”
Writing on Obama’s wall:
Why didn’t I choose Hillary?
W00T!!!
Obama Infomercial: EPIC FAIL.

This issue definitely have legs!
I am afraid that this issue has absolutely NO legs unless an action is brought by someone with court-recognized “standing.” To gain access to the US courts, one must have standing to bring an action, among other requirements such as jurisdiction, etc.
Without having done any research, I can only guess who might actually have standing, and that is, a member of the Electoral College or the Attorney General of the US or perhaps from one of the states.
Otherwise, it is a dead letter.
Breaking from Texas Darlin’s blog: Early Voting from Americans in Israel shows landslide for McCain:

Would Obama Pass CIA, FBI Background Checks If Not Running for President?
“You look at someone like Senator Obama with his plethora of very strong associations with radicals, with subversives, with anti-Americans, it’s inconceivable to me that he could get a standard security clearance to work for the U.S. government.”
Smack Down from Iraqis
US election: If Iraqis could vote it would be for McCain
http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=081030170209.3wcxfwin&show_article=1
For five years Ali and Mohammed have lived alongside US soldiers in their Baghdad neighbourhood near Rasheed Street, a prominent commercial artery running through the heart of the Iraqi capital.
During that time American culture and politics have become familiar to them, and they say that if they could, they would vote for Republican candidate John McCain in next week’s US presidential election.
“McCain would be best for Iraq because he would ensure stability,” said Ali, 66, an expert on the Sumerian era.
tzada: Thanks for raising the issue that US presence in Iraq is exposing every day Iraqis to the what I think are the best Americans this country has, our military people.
We will never convince all Iraqis that we do not have ill intentions towards them, however, I think our Surge , and our putting our troops into their dense urban areas to protect them against Jihadist violence HAS to make a positive impression on them regarding our sincerity.
Heard Obama is going to Iowa tomorrow. Is Iowa really in play? I find this quite interesting.
Yeah cause he knows he is gonna lose Iowa. That’s why Obama has to diss Sarah Palin with that HORRIBLE SEXIST ad, he is such a sexist pig, but of course, I’ve known that for about 8 months now. He is a sick, selfish, Hitler wannabe. He makes me want to vomit
Ha! Obama is going to make the pollsters crazy. He’s going to turn Iowa, Massachusettes and New York into swing states!
But the extra time in Hawaii paid off, I’ll bet.
I know for a fact Oborg is looking for volunteers in MASSACHUSETTS and New Hampshire. Not a typo, farking bluest of the blue farking MASSACHUSETTS! I think they are desperate!
He deserves to loose in a MAJOR way. That would send such a huge message - you can’t steal an American election - and it would help shut people like Chris Matthews who will say it’s all about race.
Oh, yes.
Deleware could be in trouble too - better get Joe Biden out there.
LMAO
Karen Tumulty from Time reported that the O campaign has Biden in Hidin’. She said that Joe has been shrink-wrapped to keep his yap shut and that she was denied an interview with the excuse that he had a cold - Poor Joey. She answered back that she saw no evidence of symptoms in the 4 events she saw him do that day. Another observation by Tumulty was that he had a teleprompter strapped to him even when speaking in a high school gymnasium that was 3/4 empty!
Say it ain’t so, Joe! Guess Zero is thinking if he wins, he’s going to have to rennovate that undisclosed location for long term use.
Arabella you are a riot!
We need more like you!
I’m just outside Boston and I was called by an Obot!
I told her she could vote for a fraud if she liked but I wouldn’t!
I should’ve heard her out first….not sure if she was looking for money, votes or volunteering…a lot of people in MA go up to help campaign in NH.
They are looking for get the vote out volunteers. LMAO.
I have reliable info from people living in Eastern Iowa that Obama is definitely in trouble in Iowa. (You should also know that Iowans aren’t so hot on corn subsidies. This is a media urban legend.)
Let’s keep our spirits up and work hard over the next few days to get everyone out to vote for McCain.
Watch out in Eastern IA for those Illinois buses coming over the state line.
Sarah Palin live - I love Sarah!!!!
I love her too!!
Acorn has registered every stalk of corn in Iowa, so he may be able to pull off a win.
Probably finalizing arrangements to bus voters over from Illinios like he did in the caucauses.
They have a huge logistical problem because they have to bus in voters to 58 states.
ROFL
Palin rally just ended and I have to say she gets better and better. Very talented woman.
I’ve memorized her speech myself! lol (j/k)
I love watching the people get all fired up!
She’s great! She will win this for Mack and for all of us PUMA. I just feel it. Truthfulness counts~!
Agree with that! Truthfulness and authenticity does count. Americans can detect inauthentic liars very well.
Newly registered voters in Iowa:
Pop Corn
Corn Stalk
Candee Corn
Rev. Corn Flake
Mrs. Corn Cobb
Korn Bredd
ROTFL
ditto that!! LOL
And tomorrow Camp Obama gets another chance to register any dead voters they missed.
Trick or Treat ! ;-0
The AP has raised my blood pressure more than once this year, especially Beth Fouhy. Practically every one of her articles has been a propaganda piece for Obama. Her bias has been horrifying and extraordinary; she should be banned from ever working as a journalist again.
I watched part of Obama’s infomercial last night, and it was pathetic, disingenuous, mendacious and cheesy, just like the cheesy columns stunt at Invesco field. Geesh, can we get to Nov 4th already and end this national nightmare?
Between the cheesy Greek columns and the sappy Muzak infomercial I am just shocked that the “creative class” claims allegiance with the O’Messiah.
The Silenced Majority will be the big story this election year.
I can’t wait until the pundits and the pollsters try to explain why Obama lost.
from YOUR lips
Oh, that’s easy. The headlines will read “Racist Whites Win Election”.
Whole paragraphs will highlight how Hillary and Bill Clinton didn’t do enough to win over white voters (with Hillary getting special attention/blame for forcing the Democratic primary to run so long).
There will be paragraphs devoted to how the “Bradley effect” played out once again.
There will be paragraphs dedicated to how (once again) negative campaigning worked to the detriment of the political process.
What will be completely ignored will include a whole laundry list of items: Failure by the DNC or the media to vet Obama (despite the massive vetting/investigating the opposition’s VP candidate in a mere fraction of the time); Obama’s poor judgment in choosing his friends; Caucus fraud and primary delegate-rigging; Bizarre polling techniques (such as oversampling African-Americans and Democrats); Obama’s desperate attempts to be all things to all people (e.g., to Jews, he would unilaterally give Jerusalem to Israel but to Palestinians, he would ensure that East Jerusalem become the capital of an Palestinian nation) Well, basically everything we’ve been talking about since January (okay–I personally wasn’t here at this site back then; I mean those of us who’ve seen through the Obama hype machine).
In short, the media will blame EVERYONE other than the media and their golden boy, Obama.
Thank you, Ani. Wonderful job, again.
That was my favorite McCain quote, and I can truly say that my vote for him will no longer be a protest vote. I will be voting FOR McCain.
Yeah, I got this up last night…and I was reaching for my smelling salts!!! Nearly fainted with shock!
However, this morning the local rag which is almost totally AP, had NOTHING…except a headline and “political” story about how O did his commercial and McCain was “attacking.” It mention the Clintons and was basically about campaigning….NOTHING about the SPIN and FACTS!
It’s hard to believe that Obama thought people would be swayed by a 30-minute infomercial. Nobody watches those. NOBODY1
That man is just so out of touch!
Methinks me smells an Obot. I’m sure you’re aware more than 26M people/sheeple watched that New Age drivel. How it translates into more votes for Der Precious remains to be seen.
The fact that he spent 3 million to profile struggling families shows that he’s a phony. All of that money, he outspent Hillary 4 to 1 in the primaries and he still had to win by caucus fraud. But the primaries are not the GE, 600 million and counting and he still can’t run away from all of the skeletons in his closet because there are so many.
Ready made ad for McCain -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZ5SVDYBNrY
All he has to do is add: “I’m John McCain and I approve this message.”
OT: Did Iran test a nuke?
Looks like it. Loverly.
Obama’s healthcare plan is teh suck.
OT But we need to keep in mind…
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KwhMb3L81Uo
Look at this new ad- encouraging Obama supporters to make sure they dont get too comfortable and forget to go out and vote…
We must remember this too-
We must start calling family, friends, elderly neighbors, single parents, ANYONE AND EVERYONE and volunteer to drive them to the polls on Tuesday.
If people we know might have a hard time getting to the polls= ask them how we can help!!!
Call them TONIGHT!!!
We ,ust not get comfortable with any polls until AFTER the election next week.
McCain/Palin will need every vote.
Please pass this on to people you know around the country. People want to help but they just need a suggestion or two on how to do so-specifically.
That’s good advice.
Forgot to mention-
Call your local Republican party headquarters in your neighborhoods- ask them if they need volunteers to go to polling locations (as observers).
You are legally allowed to look at a book containing the names of people who are registered to vote in your precinct. Poll workers must cross this list off as each voter casts a vote.
Then, poll workers must keep these records open for public inspection.
Volunteer as an observer (let your local Republican party headquarters know you are doing this) and go to your local polls from around 5 pm onwards and copy names & addresses ofpeople who have not voted yet but are registered to do so.
If you know these people-especially if they are your neighbors- call them up or drop by and remind them how important it is to vote and ask them if they need someone to drive them to polling place.
Remind them what time polls close.
The Obama supporters in my town are going crazy emailing each other and arranging for support groups & observers to help out with getting voters to the polls.
DO NOT rest until after Nov 5.
Please pass this message too on to your friends and family throughout the country.
Biggest mistake of BO’s campaign is to flaunt its cash stash like the nouveau riche on a spending spree. It doesn’t fit with the national mood. And this infomercial showed once more that BO is presumptuous and arrogant.
To me it looks like he’s brutalising people. They get so sick of him. They start to think he stands for ‘money buys anything’. They look to honest John McCain, running on a small fraction of that amount, seeing he keeps his promises, seeing that his word actually means something, seeing he doesn’t even know how to backpedal - and then they go out early to vote. Not so much for the GOP as against Obama.
No presidential or other candidate in the history of the United States has incurred so much controversy, opposition, hatred and division as Obama. He’s a bigger blow to the integrity of the US than W or even 9/11.
A very good observation. Will people pick up on it do you think?
Did Obama really say if he loses he is going to go back to work in the Senate and then try again in 4 years?
Will he keep control of the Democratic Party if he loses?
I am sure he believes that he can make another run. He will be jettisoned immediately by the DNC when he loses.
Can you imagine the incredible resistance there is to an Obama presidency from way back last January. Is it his campaign alone that knows how much is is disliked by all Americans?
He has had the leaders of an entire political party conspiring to give him the nomination for at least a year before the primaries began.
During the primaries he cheated and those same leaders looked the other way and when he still couldn’t win they cheated for him and then they bullied and threatened delegates.
All along he’s had 90% of the press doing propaganda for him and almost a billion dollars in cash he still can’t get beyond a dead heat running against a Republican after 8 years of GWB.
What a loser Obama is, and now he wants to do it all over 4 years from now.
Whatever happened to Michelle saying it’s now or never.
One thing I know about the Democratic Party — they may nominate losers, but they are not kind to them. Once you lose after having the nomination, there is little chance you will be nominated again.
Kerry wanted to run again — where is he?
We will have the next four years to keep finding out more about Senator Obama — I can assure you, the mystery will be over.
All of this information hidden by his current protectors will come storming onto the public scene. I think he might have trouble staying elected to his Senate seat.
I’m trying to eat my waffles, here!
Ani, I don’t know if you’ve seen the ABC headlines. I went there–they are on my boycott list–because someone told me about a report they did on early voting that had BO up 19%, which makes no sense, because they don’t release early voting tallies.
Anyway, the top headline reads: “Nielsen Knock-Out: 33.5 million watch Obama infomercial.” There was a separate story by George Stephanopolous that called it a “virtuoso performance.”
I loathe the MSM.
I doubt it. For one thing, this guy is too much of a DOWNER. People are simply not going to sit through 30 minutes of stories about pathetic cases he has dredged up during his travels, and how he is going to make them wards of the state.
You know something, fif, the people who tuned in were the ones who were already going to vote for him and those who wanted to have a laugh.
I find a hard sell offensive and so do most Americans. When you walk into a store and the salesperson is instantly, please forgive the expression, up your a$$, it makes me run right out of the store.
There is being helpful and offering information and service and then there is being overbearing and pushy.
The way his campaign throws buckets of money at everything is cold and distasteful — I find John McCain humility and frugality with campaign finances heartening — it’s not pomp and circumstance — he and Palin reach out to voters.
That is exactly what Hillary did — she said what we lack in funds we make up for in shoe leather.
I despair for my country. Mainstream Democrats won’t expose Obama, the lib-media won’t expose Obama, not even Johm McCain will expose Obama. Where the HELL is Patrick Fitzgerald with that goddam INDICTMENT????????????? YOU KNOW, THE ONE STEMMING FROM THE REZKO LAND DEAL. WHERE IS IT? WE ARE SLIDING OFF THE EDGE OF THE WORLD INTO OBAMA’S STALINIST DREAM WORLD AND NO ONE HAS THE COURAGE TO STOP IT.
The majority of the American people will stop Obama in his tracks by electing John S. McCain as the next President of the United States of America!
Obama on Fox- Greta is going nuclear tonight.
This kinda crap angers me to no end. Thanks to the dumbed down voter who sees obambi as their savior and are too f’king dense to understand the specifics, that all his promises are just pipe dreams.
can we just impeach obambi now and get it over with ?
