ayers dedicated his book to sirhan sirhan

And people think Bill Ayers is *no big deal*?

William Ayers dedicated his 1974 book, Prairie Fire, to the man that assassinated Bobby Kennedy.

And Obama thinks it is okay to serve with, work with, and socialize with this guy, the man who dedicated his book to the man that killed Robert F. Kennedy?

Obama thought it was okay to endorse, lend his name, and reputation to another book written by Ayers? Do you lend your reputation to someone, without knowing anything about them?

obama_ayers_review1.jpg

“A searing and timely account of the juvenile court system, and the courageous individuals who rescue hope from despair.” (Chicago Tribune, 12/21/97)

Obama’s desk in the U.S. Senate used to belong to Robert Kennedy. Surely, Obama must know who Sirhan Sirhan is. And Obama had no problem associating, and socializing, with William Ayers? A man who considers Sirhan a “political prisoner,” and worthy of a dedication in his 1974 book?

I wonder what the Kennedy family thinks about that?

I imagine that Obama’s excuse will be that he was only six years old when Kennedy was assassinated. Or that he was 12 when the book was written. Well, how old was he when he chose Kennedy’s desk for his Senate office? How old was he when he chose to associate with Ayers? How old was he when he lent his name to a book written by Ayers?

How old was he when he lied to the American people about their relationship?

Judgment? Honesty? Disgraceful.

No Quarter has covered the Ayers/Obama relationship extensively. You can find much more information in Steve Diamond’s writings and also in Larry Johnson’s writings.

***

And here, as an added bonus, is another tape, this one of Khalidi discussing the corrupt political machine, in Chicago.

(Doesn’t the cover of Ayers’ book resemble Obama’s logo?)

GOD DAMMIT! I sooo appreciate you guys pointing out stuff like this, someone has to. But again this is not news, this stuff is straight up, already published in a book type stuff, this should have been news with 72 DAYS left, or better yet during the Dem primaries.

EVERYONE VOTE. TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW– VOTE.

Obama is WAAAY unqualified, unfit, unprepared, and unseemly. These news items won’t go away after election day, and we’lkl have 4 years of ‘revelations’ and a hugely weakened presidency. I didn’t like Clinton, but even I didn’t enjoy months and months of hearings and wondering if my president was going down.

DAMMIT.

Comment by tek | 2008-10-31 17:43:04

No, if Obama gets in somehow, the Presidency will be more powerful than under Bush. Bush expanded executive powers and the Democrats behind Obama want that power. Clinton had a hard time because he was a moderate and the leftist in the party didn’t want him so they helped the Republicans bring him down. With Obama, they’ll have a puppet to control.

Comment by KEN | 2008-11-02 21:17:48

Morgan,
I am praying for you that you will get saved before it is too late. When you take God’s name in vain, the bible says that God will not hold him guiltless.

God loves you so much that He gave His Son on the cross for you. Turn to God before it is too late.

Do the Kennedys know that Obama is close to AYERS and what they think of Obama…who thinks he is REHABILITATED?!? NOT!

I noticed that the Kennedys have been absent as of late and would this Ayers association be one of the reasons Bobby Kennedys children supported Hillary Clinton. I would think that NONE of the Kennedys would be in support of Obama, even if Oprah asked them too. One has to wonder why they would support him, since he keeps saying that Ayers is a respected professor.

Do the Kennedys know that the Ayers duo went to CUBA in September? Was it not a Hollywood movie that made a connection to John Kennedy and the assignation that still has no shooter and no convictions. So, little time and soooo many questions.

Comment by susan | 2008-10-31 17:50:59

It is shocking that Caroline Kennesy could endorse the candidate who is such a close associate of Bill Ayers, who dedicated his book to the man who killed her uncle. If she has half a brain, she will come out immediately and take BACK that endorsement on all the major TV channels and encourage all in this country to support John McCain.

Comment by Wayne | 2008-10-31 18:17:26

Susan, you are absolutely right. This revelation should be a Deal-Breaker for all decent minded Democrats.

That’s the sad thing, the Kennedy’s endorsed this man. Campaigned for him, etc…they couldn’t have known about this. Then again who knows in this election.

Texas Darlin blogged it on 10/11/08.

It’s also embedded on the front cover of the new book.

So sick of people who are saying this punk ayers is a respectable professor. There’s something so incredibly wrong here. Anne Coultier (sp) also mentioned on Hannity last night that Ayers new book has a list of names he dedicated the book to and they are cop killers. WTF? Since when is that vile act worthy of honor? Why was Ayers attracted to Barry and vice versa? I guarantee you it wasn’t because they shared the same thoughts on how to landscape their backyards in the neighborhood.

Comment by Firefly | 2008-10-31 17:51:22

At least they followed with Dick Morris who says “Anybody who thinks this election is over is CRAZY.”

He talked about the polls tightening. And he stated that young voters are moving fast toward McCain – Mac’s within 5 points of barky now with the youngest age group in Florida.

The second youngest age group (can’t remember, but I think it’s like 30-49 or something) in Florida is also moving toward McCain.

The only Florida group not moving to McCain is the 65+ – because barky’s been running 24/7 scare ads about social security. Hoping Mac includes this group in his ad blitz for the next 4 days.

Comment by Firefly | 2008-10-31 18:41:53

Oops – I should add that Morris also said that the percentage of undecideds doesn’t matter – get this – because THERE ARE NO UNDECIDEDS!

According to Dick Morris, everybody who’s “undecided” has already decided they’re NOT VOTING FOR 0BAMA. They’re just undecided as to whether they’re voting for McCain, voting third party or staying home.

Don’t know if that’s completely true, but even if it’s mostly true, it’s DEVASTING for barky, IMO.

The world is upside down. For once I agree with Dick Morris.

Shame on every one of them who voted for this piece of garbage. They just joined him in dancing on Bobby’s grave.

Obama: “oh no, McCain shouldn’t talk about that, ummm aaah, yeah, he should talk about taxes, yeah.”

How dumb can you be to believe such obvious spin. Of course, Obama want to help join McCain win by giving him the right talking points, lol.

As an Obama supporter, I’m curious; if Obama is elected (which almost everybody agrees is most likely), what is your reaction going to be? Will you feel like he cheated his way into the presidency? Will you try to find a silver lining (at least Bush is gone)? Will you make efforts to invalidate the victory? Again, just curious what you think you’ll feel if, on November 5th, Obama is the president-elect.

Comment by Touchet | 2008-10-31 16:32:05

by everyone, you mean the bias media and Obama supporters who want the McCain voters to stay at home because they want to ensure the Obama victory. We are not dumb. We see what you are doing by saying that.

I said almost everybody. Since all pollsters and media, including Fox News, show Obama leading to some extent, I don’t see how you can dispute that.

Comment by Hillary or Bust | 2008-10-31 16:33:57

Best case scenario is that Obama is simply incompetent and all those crazy radical nutjobs ruining the Democratic party will get the wind taken out of their sails. They’ll have to find a new target once the Republicans are out of the White House. They will be disillusioned but lose power as the country veers back towards center-right.

And I will begin work on Palin 2012.

Worst-case scenario is that Obama becomes our first communist dictator and then I will tell everyone (from the concentration camp) I TOLD YOU SO.

Comment by Bud White | 2008-10-31 16:34:38

chew on this:

AP:

“One in seven, or 14 percent, can’t decide, or back a candidate but might switch, according to an Associated Press-Yahoo News poll of likely voters released Friday.

Who are they? They look a lot like the voters who’ve already locked onto a candidate, though they’re more likely to be white and less likely to be liberal. And they disproportionately backed Hillary Rodham Clinton’s failed run for the Democratic nomination.

“She got cheated, I thought,” said Chris Markle, 25, who’s from Schenectady, N.Y., and now leans toward McCain. “I’m kind of upset about that.”

We don’t have to wait until the conclusion of the GE to KNOW that Obama is a cheat. He stole the nomination away from Hillary–affirmative action rule implemented by the DNC–took Hillary’s elected delegates in MI and FL–agreed to fraudulent primary scheme to get on the ticket. Yah, he cheated. But he is black, I guess that’s his best qualification for running.

Comment by tek | 2008-10-31 18:26:22

If he was white and did all this stuff, we’d be calling him a Republican.

Comment by skinny malinky | 2008-10-31 20:19:54

I’d be extremely disappointed and unpleasant to be around for at least a few days. I respect McCain’s service and think that McCain does want to do good things for the country, but I disagree with most of his policies. I’ve also lost a fair amount of respect for him for the way he’s conducted the campaign since he’s been behind; I think a lot of his attacks have been unfair and irrelevant. So yeah, I’d be pissed. After a week or two I’d deal with it, but it would take me a little time.

I want to give a bit of an up date:

We might learn something from my polls..

Do Obama’s associates matter to you?
Yes, I left the DEM Party and I am voting McCain. 62% (322 votes)

Yes, I am still a DEM but I am voting McCain. 36% (187 votes)

No, They don’t bother me. I am voting Obama. 2% (9 votes)

Yes, But I am still voting Obama. <1% (1 votes)

Total Votes: 519

322
187
___
509

187 still are registered as DEM. When these polling places poll they use more dems because there are more in US as a whole…right?….so they say any way…36% out of 519 is a large % but wouldn’t it trickle to a McCain victory if this % hold out? My poll will end on the 5th. I will keep trying to get votes.

Comment by Firefly | 2008-10-31 18:07:08

Great job, 30 – Thank you!

And yeah, I think those pollsters are counting us as dems (because technically we are dems) but they don’t know our votes are going for McCain (and they don’t seem to care a whit – they’d rather say we don’t exist except as a tiny group whose members they could count on one hand, lol). And that’s gonna be their downfall – we’re gonna be their downfall. Our numbers are kinda hidden because many of us are still registered democrats. And our (hidden) numbers are big so we’re totally screwing up their 0bamacentric polls – and they won’t even know it until election night.

Comment by Firefly | 2008-10-31 17:28:01

I’ve read it on several blogs (Not your Sweetie and Hillbuzz, I think) – anyway, it sounds real to me.

If it is real, it’s great for us – barky’s only pulling in 60% of Hillary’s voters in some (battleground) places and it sounds like he maxes out at 70-75% of us in other places. He can’t win if those percentages hold – and we can take a lot of credit for helping do it to him – fingers crossed, PUMAs!

The writer also reconfirms the head-f*ck campaign that barky’s running – and that’s the part we need to get out to the McCain voters – 24/7.

That’s it! If Obama wins next week, after the briefing I had this evening, I am putting in for a four year assignement to Landstuhl in Germany.

President-elect Obama could be faced with a situation on New Year’s Eve where US troops are not permitted to leave their barracks because there is no legal basis for their presence in Iraq,” says Bill Galston, a scholar at the Brookings Institution, who was involved in Mr Clinton’s transition effort. “To game out all these scenarios – the financial crisis, Iraq, the fiscal stimulus, etc – will require an unprecedented degree of planning for a transition effort

WTF? No legal basis for our presence in Iraq? Good god has the people in this country lost there fucking minds? This guy has no CLUE what the heck is going on!! Leave our barracks? We live in damn tents downrange! Maybe I am losing my mind, but to make a statement saying we will be confined to our barracks in Iraq because we dont have a “legal” basis for being there is the most ignorant, dumb, idiotic statement I have ever heard in my damn life.

They are feeding people this crap and it is so crazy and beyond belief it would be laughable if it wasnt so ludicrous. To use that remark as a talking point to convince the people of what he is saying if he wins has made me realize that we will be up shit creek without a paddle.

It hit me, really really hit me that the media and Obama surrogates are so desperate for Obama so desperate for empty promises. They would give us a Commander in Chief that has money coming in from foreign countries, donors who are from parts of the world that would rather take us out when we are downrange. They will not even raise the question or investigate. Anyone believing people over there are buying for 23,000 Obama t shirts and paraphanelia when there living in goddamn shacks?

Why would anyone pay that amount for bullshit like that, for t shirts…. when they can barely have food, running water or living in shacks? What the hell are these people paying for? It has been proved about how easy it is to make donations to his campaign. WHAT.THE.HELL.MORE.DO. THEY. NEED? Almost 2 years and we know NOTHING about Obama. They wont discuss his BC, they wont ask about his closed door meeting while in Iraq. They wont ask about his contributions. They wont ask about his terrorist associates and friends.

We are almost fighting two wars. He intends to cut funding for Iraq if elected. How do you win when you are unable to execute your mission because you lack the funds to do so? There is shit going on behind the scenes. Joe Biden was right on the money. We know nothing, NOTHING about Barack Obama. I cannot believe, I cannot imagine, I cannot fathom, the ability for anyone in this country to just disregard National Security.

We suppose to have faith based on his record? The only thing there is “community organizer”! If something happens from now until january, if our enemies see a weakness, if our enemies know something about this candidate and see that our own damn media and officials wont even ask and they use it against us. God help them if they place us, the ones who deploy to the places giving him money, if we are put in danger.

If, IF he wins, and the MSM decide to all of a sudden begin to do the “vetting” and do there job by putting the info out when its to late just to boost ratings. It will be my goal in life to ensure those individuals be known as the traitors they are. Because anyone that believes we should have a president we know nothing about, cant ask questions because your called racist, cant speak negatively because your racist.

And then, to have the gall and audacity to turn a blind eye about his BC knowing if it was Mccain it would be on every station, sickens me. We dont even know where the hell he was born. He has no paper trail. If this man wins, and there is information out there that can be used as blackmail material. The Democrats will be responsible for every individual that comes back in body bags who are fighting for Democracy and not a dictatorship. If the enemy gets the upperhand because these assholes, the Democratic party rather have a historical election to the point they are willing to sell out our country….

They will go down in history as being traitors. I wouldnt even care about there families being labeled that way, there children, there friends, it doesnt matter. They better fuc$ing hope McCain wins because if we get a commander in chief that we know nothing about but others do in third world countries? The Democratic party will be taken apart one traitor at a time to it no longer exists. This shit is not a game. Our lives are on the line over there. A place were there goddamn nominee takes money from. Millions. MILLIONS. These are the actions of people who dont give a rats ass about the united states.

There is no way on gods green earth that they can actually believe we are doing so badly that we are so lost, so desperate that all we have is a possible president with domestic terrorists as associates and money from bogus donors. I dont know what country these people live in but this is not the country where people like that lead.

It’s the McGovern Democrats come back to haunt us. The looney left that got their butts handed to them in 1972. Nowadays, I suspect they’ve figured out how to be more corrupt and pander to the corporations while pretending to be for the People. I’m not surprised the corporations threw in with Obama. He wants a tyranny and the corps want a tyranny. They’ll have to duke it out whether to have facism or communism.

If you want more irony, last year Obama sponsored a bill to prohibit deceptive practices in Federal elections, S.453. Can you believe that? The master of deception sponsoring such a bill.

Comment by Lizzie Struthers | 2008-10-31 18:57:38

Ayers is one sick fuck. He’s really asking for trouble. I think he’s daring people to mess with him. Migod I can’t remember holding any human being in contempt. Anywhere ever. For him all I feel is boundless contempt. Him and his bodacious wife of course.

So the Kennedys stepped in the mire up to their knees?
How sad that the best of them died, and the rest of them think they are “king makers”!

Everyone needs to keep spreading the word to vote for McCain, there are undedcideds out there I found out totally by accident.
I went to get my driver’s license renewed because I had let it expire two weeks ago. Here in Virginia it used to be that you could renew all the way up to the end of the month of your birthday and I forgot the law changed. So, they told me I needed my birth certificate even though it had only been expired for two weeks. I showed them other forms of Residency (I’ve lived her for over 40 years) but they said that’s the law, they needed a bc or a passport. So I called the state I was born in, New York, to get a copy overnighted to me. The lady in the Bureau of Vital Statistics in my hometown in NY asked me why I was so desperate to get it right away. I proceeded to tell her that I needed ID to vote on Tuesday and that I had been volunteering for Clinton. She interrupted me and told me she was devastated by what happened to Hillary and then asked me who I was voting for because she honestly hadn’t decided. I was stunned and told her everything I had learned on this site and others about BO and that I was voting Republican for the first time in my life and proud of it. By the end of the conversation she said she was impressed by my research and felt all along that”I should vote McCain but wasn’t 100% but now felt it’s a sign that I talked to you. ” I couldn’t believe that this happened so accidentally, so for me it means that I’m going to keep spreading the word.

What a great story! We can make a difference – we have to – it’s now up to us to talk to people and blog and get the FACTS out any way we can – because we have to do the media’s job now. We are the new 4th estate!

Comment by Mr. X | 2008-10-31 18:24:47

Not only that, but this person has also just been vetted more than Obama with the request of a BC and other ID.

How in the hell does an unrepentant serial bomber terrorist get the gall to write anything about rehabilitation of criminal youth?

He hasn’t bothered to rehabilitate his own unrepentant, sociopathic, murderous criminality.

He DARES to write about juvenile justice when he gleefully holds the attitude “guilty as sin, free as a bird.”

He does not give a shit about rehabilitation, repentance, remorse or regret. He has firmly rejected these ideas all of his adult life.

“Courageous”, my ass.

I think Bill and Bernie are going to have to stay indoors at nighttime. I think a lot of people are going to be really furious when they learn about this.

I think they knew he knew ayres I just think they were giving him a free pass just like every other nutty obama crap. What drives this statement home, is that they can no try and justify ayers by the dumb behind matra that he is reformed. The Kennedy’s are now slapped in the face by the cruel hand of reality. I think even RFK jr was helping obam’s campaign. These are the type of friends obama makes. These are people he thinks it’s cool to hang out with. This is how unreformed, cruel and unabashed these people are. There can be no doubts about Ayers character, to congradulate a mentally ill individual who blew away his life as well as that of one of the last great men of the modern era. Let’s kick obama’s butt and take back our party. There can be no question now these people are sick.

Welcome back!

About this clip: I think this is it. This is the line in the sand. No way anyone is going over that line.

Obama/Ayers have to understand that for millions of people they now become their overriding passion and we shall devote our lives to their misery, as Hal Slocum says (more or less) in Thelma and Louise.

They. Must. Go. Down.

What a joke the Kennedy’s have become. Supporting the POS whose pal dedicates his book to their kin’s assassin. I wonder what kind of gushy sappy justification they come up with, if any.

All for naught, Bobby Kennedy, all for naught. A shame indeed.

Comment by Arabella Trefoil | 2008-10-31 18:09:18

Robert Kennedy Junior (who lives in Westchester County, NY) endorsed Hillary. Robert is a tireless worker for environmental causes, both large and small. I don’t always agree with him, but he’s willing to go his own way, and more importantly he’s willing to make a stand.

I wasn’t surprised that he endorsed Hillary because they work so closely on environmental issues, but I also got the impression that Robert didn’t entirely trust Obama.

Comment by Firefly | 2008-10-31 18:22:57

RFK Jr. has since gone over to the dark side. He said this on Huffpoop:

Last week found the American media once again boarding Republican swift boats against this season’s Democratic candidate armed with unfair and hypocritical attacks artfully designed by GOP strategists to distract attention from the cataclysmic outcomes of Republican governance. Vice Presidential hopeful Sarah Palin has taken to faulting Senator Barack Obama for his casual acquaintance with a respected Illinois educator Bill Ayers, who forty years ago was a member of the Weathermen, a movement active when Obama was eight and which he has denounced as “detestable.” Palin argues that the relationship proves that Obama sees “America as being so imperfect that he is palling around with terrorists who would target their own country.”

There’s more, and I think it gets worse, but I refuse to link to that place and I can’t stomach reading the rest anyway…

Comment by tek | 2008-10-31 18:30:39

We saw RFK, Jr. speak in Kentucky in May. He was awesome. He hit Republicans and Democrats. He had the facts, rattled them off with no notes.

If he’s endorsed Obama, it’s because he wants to be President someday and he could never run as a Republican.

We so need a new party.

Comment by Lizzie Struthers | 2008-10-31 18:50:51

So for him it’s OK to sleep with a terrorist if your career demands it? Where I come from that’s called ‘prostitution’.

Comment by Linda | 2008-10-31 18:09:39

I agree.

I ran in to a black man who was our security guard at the McCain office. He asked me “why” I was voting for McCain. People started to worry that I was gone so long…I went through some reasons, (not enough time for all, with questions in between) and he said he understands and I make a better case than even the ticket themself, I’m more convincing, but he’s still voting for Barry. Then something came up about experience and he tried the campaign line “just like JFK”. I almost lunged at him “OH NO, dont’ go there, there are hardly any similarities”.

I proceded to go through the quick public service background and that makes me think, do Democrats bank on people being so unaware and uneducated that they can tell such a lie and still expect people to believe it? Apparently.

And for any lurkers who are still unaware. JKF served two terms in the House and was on his 2ND TERM in the Senate…and that was AFTER serving in the Military. …yeah, we didn’t see any similarities either.

Comment by tek | 2008-10-31 18:34:16

When one of our good friends found out we didn’t like Obama, he said, “But what about him being the new JFK?” He said it with a straight face, like that settled it, there was no other argument. So sad, an otherwise intelligent person.

Sirhan Sirhan is probably the first Jihadist attack against the United States in this current revival of Islam.

Isn’t it sorta of amazing how someone so Quintessentially American as RFK has his path crossed with an enraged Muslim in the vanguard of Islam’s most recent campaign against the rest of the world?

I was so angy I emailed the information about Ayers dedicating the book to all the papers on the East Coast, and I even asked how the Kennedys could support Obama after this. Obama must be stopped….NO MATTER WHAT..GET OUT TO VOTE FOR MCCAIN

Comment by vita | 2008-10-31 19:53:45

you’ve gotta be kidding me. how would Obama know Ayers dedicated a book to RFK’s assassin, when even FOX NEWS didn’t know the book existed until a couple days ago? this is getting ridiculous.

Comment by Peggy Sue | 2008-10-31 21:11:38

I’m sorry. This dedication is so disgusting there is no way to spin it, refine it or excuse it. Yes, this book, text of Ayers is from decades ago. But we’re talking Bobby Kennedy, someone revered by the Democratic Party and by a large chunk of the American public at large. Would we be generous to fans of John Wilkes Booth or Lee Harvey Oswald? Could we conjure up a defense? And let’s not forget how Hillary Clinton was savaged during the primaries for her Bobby Kennedy remark.

Bill Ayers is someone you keep company with, Senator Obama? Bill Ayers who complained the day after 9/11 that the Weathermen didn’t do enough.

Are you listening America? Are you paying attention?

The Democratic mominee for POTUS has spent time with an unrepentent domestic terrorist [along with a lot of other highly questionable characters], kicked off his political career in the living room of this same man [who has traded in the love beads for a tenured professorship]. But this coverage is all unfair, Republican spin?

Do you believe in unicorns? Maybe leprechauns.

Obama can pretend all he wants but the record is out there. Bill Ayers is a “bud” whose ideas and philosophies are so out of the mainstream that he once [and maybe still is] an apologist for the murderer of Robert Kennedy.

That alone should make your hair stand on end. And Sirhan-Sirhan is a political prisoner???

Cut me a break. Sirhan committed an assassination. It was witnessed. It was filmed. What do you want? To taste the blood in your mouth?

Vote, no Obama. The man is not who he pretends to be. And his friends are a disgrace. Do I equate Barack Obama with Bill Ayers?

No.

But his judgment stinks. He is at best a raw opportunist, using everyone and anyone to advance politically.

Wake up, America. We have three days left. Three, a magical and most portentous number.

Wake up before it’s too late!

Several Hollywood scripts here:

Kennedys endorse POTUS Candidate who endorses Terrorist who endorses a Kennedy POTUS killer..

Teddy killed JKF & RFK because he was jealous. (plus Mary Jo).

Teddy is the Boston Strangler.

Choose the 2 most unlikely.
